Starting point is 00:00:00 What is up guys, it's Andy Purcell and this is the show for the realest, say goodbye to the lies, the fakeness, and delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality guys today we have q and af i'm going to answer three questions that you guys submitted uh where do they submit these questions guys you can email your questions in to ask andy at andy forsella.com that's ask andy and andy forsella.com. Ask some motherfucking questions. Yeah. Not ask. Ask. Ask. Sorry, Ebonics. Dude. Hey. Share the show.
Starting point is 00:00:52 We're trying to grow this shit, man. Yeah. We're trying to get the word out. We're trying to get the news out. We're trying to get people riled up and rallied around America and making fucking money and kicking ass. Yeah. What's bad about that?
Starting point is 00:01:03 Nothing. Exactly. So share the show. That's the fee. It's so funny, man. So like I was going through my DMs the other day and I'll be honest, like I've been really, really off of that. Right.
Starting point is 00:01:15 There's just a bunch of shit going on. And I got through one and I opened up the message and I had like fucking 15 story mentions and I'm like, I know these are all story, man. I'm like, hey, man, I'm sorry. I'm i'm missing all of these bro i just want to say thank you so i appreciate all you guys that are fucking doing it just understand it's not that it's not easy to get all of them yeah bro it's dude look i don't want 50 fucking story slides there's tens of thousands of people out there sharing this every time and i'm sure a lot of them were like what the fuck you never see my shit well dude that's the nature of the game. Yeah. Like I can't see all your shit.
Starting point is 00:01:47 It's impossible. But here's what I would ask you to do is to not share the show. So you get credit or recognized. Share the show because it's valuable. Share the show because it helps people share the show because it's good for fucking America. That's why we should be sharing the show. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:02 I'd rather be talking about making a bunch of money, flying around on fucking jets, uh, doing crazy ass entrepreneur, fun shit. Yeah. And teaching you all just that, but do without what's without becoming aware of what's going on in the
Starting point is 00:02:16 country and getting active and involved in what's going on in the country. We aren't going to have that shit. No. All right. So I hope you all understand that. I don't even like talking about this shit. I just think it's important. So if you think it's important, share the show.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Now, we are going to mix in some entrepreneur shit like we're going to today, probably. I don't know the questions, but I'm sure some have to do with making money, which is great because I love to make money and I know you want to make money. And that's a great thing. But here's the thing, guys. If you want more of that, if you want more making money, I do have the RTA Syndicate. The RTA Syndicate is a group that you can apply to that is for high-level entrepreneurs or beginning entrepreneurs where we go through all different lessons over the course of a year of
Starting point is 00:03:03 how to become a successful entrepreneur and how to operate in today's turbulent climate. That's what we talk about all the time. So if you want more of that content, that's a good place to get it because most of the content that would be on the MFCEO project, because we do have those MFCEO loyal people here. And I'm not saying I won't ever bring that back,
Starting point is 00:03:23 but what I am saying is for right now that all that fucking content that i'd be talking about if this was still the mfceo project is being done inside arte so if that's where you're at that's where you should go um but otherwise we're going to cover some stuff here but a lot of time we're going to talk about what the fuck is wrong with the world and what to do about it and then we're going to make fun of everybody facts all right so guys got three questions. Let's knock these out. All right.
Starting point is 00:03:47 So this first question, Andy, Andy, I've been with you for two years. Yeah. Right. So somebody had a question about this. And it's so funny because like we actually get these type of questions a lot. Okay. So the question is, can you talk about you and me? You meet me as in DJ.
Starting point is 00:04:04 So what do I do for you how we met people want to know well we met in this dark web chat room yeah and uh you know we got along we started talking about how we uh hate the same people yeah i love the same people and we decided that our you know our our differences in race uh as horrible as they are we're just not enough to keep us apart and so credit scores aside yes we put all these things aside and you know um we had a date and you know he was the one with the red flower on the table and you know we just started from there and you know it just went like it's a beautiful love story that's it yeah we should call it overcoming racism yeah no shit yeah because we all know that like how racist i am just being white yeah oh you know what i'm saying but me and you both know that i'm way more racist than you yeah that's that's what we connected on dude it was the s'mores party we met yeah fuck man uh i don't
Starting point is 00:05:09 know man like uh i had to get security bro like one of my friends uh a good guy here in st louis um was murdered and he was a he was a publicly wealthy guy. Everybody knew who he was. He had a big car collection, very similar to me. And this dude killed him for no reason other than he was wealthy. And the next day, I fucking hired security because I know, like if I had asked him, hey, man, do you wish you would have paid out the money to have that? He would have said, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:45 And so the next day I decided to get security and it was that, and you know, I hired a security company, great company. Um, they had a couple, you know, when you, when you go from not having that to having that, it's a very weird thing. Uh, so I like, you know, they start putting you with different people and like you know some dudes are too like i don't know aggressive like they think it's like gi joe or some shit and then like other dudes you just don't get along with as well and you know uh they put me with dj and we both swipe right yeah that's right match yeah yeah and it's been it's been ever since they every day yeah and
Starting point is 00:06:26 that's what it is but i mean uh we got to talking we did cardio together every day he was going doing cardio with me and uh we started talking about all the things we talk about on the show and i'm like bro you need to be on the show i thought it brought a different perspective to the show you're you're a lot younger than You're, you're a different race than me. Uh, not really though. You know what I'm saying? Like,
Starting point is 00:06:48 I just thought, you know, he's down with the same. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Exactly. So like,
Starting point is 00:06:54 I thought it was, I'd be good to have him on the show as a different perspective. Um, and it's been fun. We're having an awesome, yeah, we travel and, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:02 he takes care of all, all the, uh, not just protection, but almost like my personal assistant of all all the not just protection but almost like my personal assistant and handles all the details of things and make sure everything runs smooth and uh you know it's been a fucking great thing yeah so it's been a fun fucking yeah it's been great yeah i mean we're just getting started you know the security company's growing uh my needs are growing you know uh and that's what it is we just i mean dude when you spend
Starting point is 00:07:26 fucking 12 hours a day with someone every fucking day you know you're going to become good friends with them yeah you know what i mean and that's i think that's important also in a security role like it is no we talked about you want to give a fuck yeah we talked about that all like what's it like to be ep for someone who you don't like like zuckerberg that's what i'm saying like how do you do that yeah yeah you can't do that because if you know you don't fucking like those people there's gonna be that fucking split hesitation you're not gonna you know i'm saying you can't have it but you know to dj's credit you know he's not gonna tell you this but like uh you know he's not he was supposed to just do protection right and you know he came in and he started making himself valuable in all different kinds of
Starting point is 00:08:08 ways, got him into the show. Now he produces the shows and, you know, it's just another example of somebody coming in, seeing an opportunity to be valuable, becoming valuable and, you know, building a really nice career. You know what I mean? And it's only going to get better. So, uh, all these things i talk about on the show in terms of success and like seeing opportunity and working to be valuable and and
Starting point is 00:08:32 and taking care of details and and you know that's that's a place where uh i mean he you know dj has executed that and you know and really an embodiment of all the shit that we teach oh you know yeah i appreciate that bro next time you guys can give us a minute it'll be two red roses next time i got you yeah shameless plug i love it but i mean you know it's really not even like this shit is fun like what we do is fun yeah it's always a good time yeah it's always a good time and despite all the crazy bullshit yeah i mean there's there's bad days there's days that suck but you know it's those are few and far between 100 yeah i'm glad i'm rocking with you man all right so question number two this is actually a great lead up so what's the best way to ask for a raise that's a legitimate question that's really the question so what's the best way for an employee
Starting point is 00:09:26 well i think the best way is is first of all you know make sure that you're over delivering what the fuck you're worth right like you what people really get wrong with the raise is that i think most employees think that i go get the raise and then i start performing for the raise and the truth of it is that it's not that's not how it works in most places um not a winning culture the truth is you perform first then you go in and ask for the raise yeah so you've got to get elaborate so i'm just being real dude like your job and i say this openly in my employees meetings, I say it fucking openly all the time. Your job is to get so good that you come to me, ask me for a raise and I cannot say no.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I can't say no. That's the job. That's it. That's it. That's the job. Like if an employee becomes so undeniably good, they go and they say, Hey, I do this and this and this clear evidence of how you over deliver yeah and when they and they you know dude you have to give them the raise like like
Starting point is 00:10:33 either you give the person the raise or they leave and you got to fucking replace them and that's that costs a lot more money usually if they're good so uh but any good ceo uh is is and this is another thing people get fucked up nobody's gonna come offer you a fucking raise okay like i'm not coming and seeking out to give out raises bro and not because i want to keep the money but because there's an important lesson in the actual gaining of a raise. And that's this. Build your actual evidence of how good you are. Muster up the courage to have the conversation. Show your evidence and ask.
Starting point is 00:11:16 And that takes a lot of fucking courage. And it takes a lot of personal development. And it takes a lot of fucking real grown-up shit to do. And I'm not going to steal that growth from my employees by running around offering them fucking raises so i'm like motherfucker if you want to raise you're gonna have to fucking man to fuck up and come ask me that's it yeah you know and like sometimes i get employees uh like madat okay who works his ass off and madat's not in the room right now he had to run out of town but like he works his ass off right and fucking i have to like the other day he's walking across the other say hey bro uh how
Starting point is 00:11:48 much money you make and he tells me and i already know yeah and i said you ever gonna ask me for a fucking raise and he's like well you always did this i said yeah but like you i'm still gonna make you ask me that's your fucking job is to ask yeah and i see so many times and employees they get bitter and they get frustrated and they get angry and really they have nobody but to blame but themselves because they don't understand the process of accomplishing what they're trying to do become valuable be worth more than what you're making in the last and my recommendation is in the last 90 days okay like this isn't like a week's worth of, I did a good job.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Like you have to, it has to be fucking hard. Yeah. Hey, look, I have this philosophy inside our company. I call it get hot, stay hot. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Because you never know when, when a company like ours that's growing and in multiple different directions at once, um, you never know when I'm going to need you. You never know when I'm going to create a department. You never know when I'm going to create a whole new fucking company. You have no fucking idea.
Starting point is 00:12:48 So the best policy is, is to get hot and stay hot. Because what I'm going to look at when you come in and ask me is how you did for the last 90 days. I'm going to look at that first. Then I'm going to look past and look back from the past year. And if you had inconsistencies in the past year, I'm going to talk to you about them.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah. We're going to have conversations, but at the end of the day this responsibility rests on the employee and many employees don't ever ask and then they end up leaving and taking some job they didn't even like when they could have got a raise had they just manned up and fucking did their little due diligence to get one yeah you see what i'm saying yeah so i think it's also an important point too because like even if okay the answer is no i'm sure that ceos are giving you some type of feedback that's a great like, even if, okay, the answer is no, I'm sure that CEOs are giving you some type of feedback. That's a great point.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And a lot of times the answer is no. And a lot of times the answer is going to be this. Okay. You want to raise, go do this and this and this for me. We'll reevaluate in X amount of time. Yeah. 30,
Starting point is 00:13:38 60, 90 days. See what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. So like, dude, and,
Starting point is 00:13:43 and you know, a lot of people right now have this idea like oh i've been there for so i don't give a fuck how long you've been here right i give a fuck how good you are and this whole fucking weak-ass idea that's infiltrated itself into our culture as americans in our business culture i've been i've been here for five years. Well, you fucking suck for five years. Yeah. Yeah. Okay? Like you did the minimum for five years.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Right. Right. You don't deserve shit. You deserve, you fucking probably don't even deserve to fucking be here because you've been average for five years. And that's another thing to look out for when you're asking for a raise.
Starting point is 00:14:19 You come ask me for a motherfucking raise and you've been here for five fucking years, you're going to shine a light on that you haven't done shit for five years and now i've got it now i'm looking at you to eliminate you so make sure that when you go ask for a raise you fucking earn that raise get all your shit together yeah plus dude i respect people that fucking have get their shit together as an adult and say hey look and by the way you should never feel uncomfortable talking about money that's a big thing like a lot, you should never feel uncomfortable talking about money. That's a big thing.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I like a lot of people are just very uncomfortable talking about money. Listen, to ever get what the fuck you are worth, you're going to have to get comfortable talking about some fucking money. Yeah. Right. And if you can say, all right, look, Andy, I take care of this for you. I take care of this for you. I take care of this for you.
Starting point is 00:15:02 This would cost you this, this and this. If it was different, i'm getting paid this like if you could make it logically make sense it's a good like there's no fucking gatekeeper out there that keeps those arguments from actually sinking into something yeah you know what i'm saying yeah so like dude that like get your shit together get your shit together know what you're worth be realistic be honest yeah and they're going to ask you for a million fucking dollars and that's it yeah and that's it and together know what you're worth be realistic be honest yeah and they're going to ask you for a million fucking dollars and that's it yeah and that's it and you know what if you're worth a million you're worth a million you know what i'm saying there's plenty of companies and
Starting point is 00:15:34 dudes make like dude we'll be paying people seven well we already pay people seven figures out of here yeah i have multiple employees that make seven figures yeah so you know that's not even out of the realm like executives of big companies make seven figures yeah so you know that's not even out of the realm like executives of big companies make seven figures yeah you know i'm saying like i'm built i'm i'm i'm one one hundred listen me i'm one one hundred of where the fuck i'm gonna be and so i got i i need to hire like a hundred executives there There's only 400 people in this building. Right. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:16:07 Right. So like to me, I'm like, if I'm one of these dudes who's 20 years old here, I'm like, fuck, I could be an executive in three years. If I bust my fucking ass,
Starting point is 00:16:17 be a 23 year old executive, make a fucking who knows what. Right. See what I'm saying? Yeah. So, you know, that's how I do it. That's how would do it it's fucking dope all right our third and final
Starting point is 00:16:31 question but like dude i i got i got a message from someone today who uh just you know was like well i've been i've been with you for since 2016 i don't value that i just don't value that i value value yeah you know i'm saying yeah like i did it's a rep that will be irrelevant to most every single fucking high level operator yep they're not going to say like and dude for some reason employees think that's the thing to hang the hat on yeah it's how long this is not 19 fucking 70s or 80s there's no pensions there's no fucking no where you're here for 30 years and by the way is that how you want it because back then you'd be here for 30 years and at the end of your fucking 30 years you got some bullshit retirement and you
Starting point is 00:17:13 get a fucking gold seiko you see what i'm saying it's not even real gold it's fucking right i mean wouldn't you rather have the opportunity to build a real career fucking seven figure fucking career and kick ass and be part of a winning team i know i would yeah so like you know all the winners seem to find them find themselves to these winning companies to operate that way and losing companies operate on you know hey i've been here for i've been here for five years bro can i get a nickel raise yeah yeah that's that's weak shit shit i was about to weak shit shit, man. All right. Our third and final question, okay? So this, I'm going to read this. Just verbatim.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It's a lot easier this way. So my boss recently gave me some new things that are outside my scope of what I'm really, really good at, okay? And what I was originally hired for, right? I don't want to let them down doing shit that I know that I can't do, but I also don't want to be a bitch. So how should I address this? So this is things that are outside this person's skill set or just outside of what he was hired to do? Both.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Well, first of all, if you only do the things that you're hired to do and that's where your limits are, you're going to be very limited in your upward potential in an organization, right? Getting ahead requires doing more and doing better. There's only two things you can do, bro. You can either do more or you could do better. And that's fucking it. And to get ahead, guess what? It takes both, okay? So that's the first thing.
Starting point is 00:18:40 You know, that whole idea of this is not my job, that's an outdated concept that will get you nothing in life. It just will, you know that whole idea of this is not my job that's an outdated concept that will get you nothing in life yeah it just will you know and it's in contrary uh direction to what they put out in school system now and in social media and the culture but at the end of the day man it's a fucking law of nature yeah so you can argue with it all you want it's just gonna be the way it is nothing's gonna change it nothing has changed it for fucking thousands of years. It just is what it is. So you're going to have to do more.
Starting point is 00:19:10 You're going to have to do better to get ahead. That's it. So if you live in that, it's not my job. You couldn't work here. You know, you might be able to work at McDonald's, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:19 which is fine, but not here. Right. You know what I mean? Um, if they don't know how to do it, uh, I would, I would challenge them to see that as an opportunity to learn and get better. Okay. To improve their skillset because the biggest opportunities come in those scenarios. Like
Starting point is 00:19:38 when someone comes to you and says, Hey man, uh, I, can you take care of this? And you don't know how to do it. That's a tremendous opportunity for you to learn how to do something new that which makes you more valuable. Right. And then if you can accomplish that thing at a high level, then you can go in and say, OK, look, I can do this on a regular basis and take care of this and this and this. Don't you think it's fair for this? And then you ask for a little more money. Right. See what I'm saying? And that's how your career is going to move so um you know because there's a level of like you don't want to be taken advantage of there too right yeah like
Starting point is 00:20:15 you don't want to take in all this new shit and then never get rewarded for because some org and that comes down guys to being in an organization that operates in good faith yeah right like if you observe other employees being taken care of and growing when they do extra shit it's a good indication that's rewarding your company yeah you know i'm saying yeah um if you have if your company has lots of people who have been there for a long time in executive positions that started from the ground up it's pretty good indicator they value people can learn skills because like here the executives this company these mother every single one of them started here at minimum wage everyone so you know i think a big problem with business culture right now is that people limit themselves because
Starting point is 00:21:00 you know they tell themselves this the story of like well that's not what they hired me to do or that's not what i do or like even i'm i'm you know i'm too good for that or whatever motherfucker i will mop floors i'll sweep whatever the fuck i gotta do i've always been that way yeah you know what i mean and uh a lot of people miss big opportunities to be valuable by thinking that way so i would transition my thinking into uh when you are asked to do things that are out of your skillset into thinking, okay, well, how can I learn to do it? Or how can I solve the problem? Can I call someone to get this done? Can I get someone in the, in the building that knows how to get this done? Um, how can I solve this? So it's taken care of really the Really, the underlying value here is the attitude of them just getting the shit done makes them valuable.
Starting point is 00:21:49 I don't give a fuck how you got it done. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like, all I know is I need you to get it done. Can you do that? Yeah. You know, and that's what creates value.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Most people just aren't willing to do that little extra shit um and that's why if you own a company it's a good idea to build the idea of taking initiative and going the extra mile and accepting responsibility into your core value structure of your company because those three things create a scenario where people naturally tend to solve problems on their own yeah and if you're going to scale you're going to need that to happen you're going to need people who can operate autonomously inside your organization and solve problems as they come without bringing every motherfucking one to you if you're inside an organization the best person that you can become is the motherfucker that takes care of the most fucking problems and keeps them away from me so i never even fucking know him and guess what that motherfucker's worth yeah a lot yeah a lot those people that do that here make a lot of
Starting point is 00:22:42 fucking money a lot so yeah you know i make a lot of fucking money. A lot. So. Yeah. You know. I think a lot of people are afraid of fucking. Make your boss's job easier. That's it. That become IB profile. And if you hate your boss, go find a boss that you like and that you love.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Yeah. You know, make their job easier. Yeah. That's. It's real simple. I think a lot of people are afraid of just the failure part of that, though, of trying of doing the new shit. Well, how the fuck you don't figure it out if you don't fuck it up a little bit 100 i'm just
Starting point is 00:23:07 saying it for personal like even on this right like doing the podcast helping right how many fucking terrible fucking shit outlines have i given you you know what i'm saying like quite a few right but it's like i had to get over that fear of fucking failure yeah well but but see i give you honest feedback and i just tell you i'm like that shit sucks yeah and and you know what eventually you start giving me shit see see that's a whole nother topic yeah a lot of leaders won't even give out real feedback like they'll fucking get that and they'll say some shit like oh man that's that's pretty good you know and then you're you're you're handicapping the person who's trying to learn the skill it's trying to help you yeah so like now you're just going to create more
Starting point is 00:23:44 frustration down the loop yeah you know the best way is to fucking tell them the exact truth and then allow them the opportunity to continue improving yeah you know and like everybody here knows that there's a chance when you show me shit and i'm going to straight up be like yeah that fucking sucks bro yeah and but you know what that's how we get the fastest way possible realigned on the right track. Yeah. You know what I mean? Which is my, which is my obligation to them.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Right. You know, that's, that's what people don't understand. You have an obligation to your employees to tell them the truth because if you tell them some wishy-washy shit, you're, you're handicapping their development, which handicaps your growth and it makes everybody fucking resentful. Yeah. So, you know employees you need to toughen the fuck up and leaders you need to toughen the fuck up and you
Starting point is 00:24:29 need to be able to communicate really fucking clear if something fucking sucks guess what it fucking sucks yeah and you know what here's why it sucks right now bring me something back yep that's that and you do that so beautiful yeah shameless plug but like it's super fucking important yeah yeah like hey no i don't just say that's shitty i'll say that's shitty because of this and this and this now and then i'll say you're not you're not giving me the exact blueprint no i want you to go figure it out because when you go out and invest and i could give you that by the way i could tell you every fucking the same with these guys in here i could tell them every detail how to make it right but then all of a sudden they're dependent on my every fucking opinion on everything
Starting point is 00:25:07 when instead if i say hey that's fucked up here's why it's fucked up and you have to go solve it now you develop skills when you come back and i don't have to remind you of it over and over and over again right but most people can't communicate clearly enough to get that to happen yeah that's fucking awesome yeah dope man well hey that's three, so go pay the fee. Yeah, guys. Hey, for real. We're trying to grow this shit. Share it around. Tell your friends, especially your like-minded friends.
Starting point is 00:25:31 You know, those ones that agree with everything we're talking about but are too scared to say it. Send that shit to them. All right? Love you guys. Talk to you later. Yeah. Sleepin' on the floor Now my jewelry box froze Fuck a bowl, fuck a stove Counted millions in the cold Bad bitch, booted swole Got her on bankroll
Starting point is 00:25:49 Can't fold, that's a no Headshot, case closed
