Headline or the article continues. A Harvard University professor was convicted by a federal jury on Tuesday of lying to the U.S. about his involvement with China's government. The Justice Department announced Dr. Charles Liber, 62, the former chair of Harvard's Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department, was found guilty

of two counts of making false statements to federal authorities, two counts of making and subscribing a false income tax return, and two counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts with the IRS. He was being paid $50,000 per

month by the Chinese University and by the Chinese university and given one point five million dollars to establish a nanoscience research lab at W.T. thousand talents program which the department called one of the most prominent talent recruitment plans designed to attract and recruit and cultivate high level scientific talent um this guy's a piece of shit basically and i think uh the bigger story here is is showing that how many of our professors at these ivy have sold out america are fucking sold out they've sold out america bro see china china has figured out that the individual greed is more powerful than the fucking obligation that people feel to their country collectively 100 and what they've done is they've gone around and in the media in the in the educational system and in the political system and in big business, they've bought on the backside all of the leaders of these companies. Two Democrats who support police reform carjacked less than 24 hours apart. Surprising. So let's dig into this. So two Democrats who supported police reform in Philadelphia and Chicago were both carjacked at gunpoint within 24 hours of each other. Illinois State Senator Kimberly Lightfoot, a Democratic of the Mayward District, was targeted in suburban Chicago on Tuesday night while Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, Democratic of Pennsylvania,

was carjacked Wednesday afternoon after an event in South Philadelphia. Lightfoot said in a statement, the Senate majority leader said in a statement that she was still trying to process the trauma. Quote, first and foremost, I am thankful that my husband and I are alive and

physically unharmed. I am trying to process the trauma of what happened. I want to thank everyone who has offered their love and support.
