ex-wife of Missouri GOP Senate eric gritens alleges he physically abused her and their children so this is the headline let's let's dive into this article a little bit okay just a little bit so the ex-wife of the leading gop senate candidate and former missouri governor gritens alleged he was physically abusive towards his children and her according to court documents filed this monday uh gritens you know he resigned in uh 2018 um amid allegations of sexual misconduct um has been trying to mount a political comeback in his pursuit of a u.s senate seat a number of gop primary rivals called on monday for him to drop out of the race following the abuse allegations made by his ex-wife so

i got some supporting evidence here, uh, uh, from his wife, Sheena, um, who's living in Texas. They have joint custody right now. Um, and Eric has already filed for full custody of the two,

uh, two children, uh, two boys that he has, uh, article continues. Sheena Gritens, who now resides in Texas with the former couple's two children said she grew so

afraid of her former husband that she sought to limit his access to weapons and began sleeping in her children's room out of concern for their safety, according to an affidavit filed in the Circuit Court of Boone County in Missouri as part of her effort to have a custody case moved to Texas. Gina Gritens said that she and others were so concerned about Eric Gritens' behavior that they limited his access to firearms on three occasions. She said that she was concerned about the, quote, escalation of physical violence and eventually, quote, I started sleeping in my children's room simply to try to keep them safe, according to her affidavit. In a statement, Eric Greitens denied the allegations.

Greitens' campaign manager also came out with an official statement he said quote his ex-wife is enraged in the last ditch attempt to vindictively destroy her ex-husband though she knows that the press will viciously repeat her false allegations eric has always been a great dad who loves his boys and has always put them first and that is why he is filing for full custody of his children now Now, there's a lot here. brought the allegations against him is losing her motherfucking law license yeah okay chasing over 70 counts of surgery so now all of these lies that forced him to resign in 2018 have been absolved and shown to be bullshit. And now all of a sudden this comes out. Why didn't this come out during the process? Right. Why didn't this come out earlier?
