Got more cars than diddy.
I only weigh 180, but my watch cost 250.
What's up, guys?
It's Andy Purcella, and this is the show for the realists.
Say goodbye to the lies, the fakeness, and delusions of modern society, and welcome to
motherfucking reality.
Guys, today I got a real short episode for you.
It's not going to take much of your time,
but I promise you it's going to be one that you want to listen to,
especially if you're somebody who's on the 75 hard program, okay?
And I say program specifically
because a lot of people think this is some sort of internet challenge.
It's not a challenge.
It's a program. It's a
program that you can do to completely recalibrate your brain so that you're able to accomplish
all the things that you've always wanted to accomplish. Now, I don't have time to go into
all of this. I actually hadn't even planned on sitting down and doing this podcast, but I saw something today and it brought something to my attention that I felt needed addressing across
our culture, which is why I didn't post it on my Instagram and why I'm talking about it here
on the podcast. And it's because I feel like it's important. Now, I want to preface this.
So this morning when I woke up, what I typically do is I go into my phone, like most of you do,
and I start to evaluate and look at the hashtags that I follow.
Now, the hashtags I follow are mainly 75 hard. I am first
form, first form, and a couple others that we do, Arte Syndicate and some other things that,
you know, I'm highly involved in. All right. And I like to interact with people and I like to see
how everybody's doing. And so I highly encourage you, if you're doing these programs or you're a part of these movements, which is what they are, that you hashtag, you know, interact. I try to share and like the posts that I think
really make an impact on me. And if I miss some of them, which I know I have, because there's
hundreds of thousands of them, you know, it doesn't mean I didn't see them. It doesn't mean
I didn't read them. But sometimes they're going to slide through the crack. And one today I felt,
I saw one today that I felt I saw for a reason. And the reason is, I think it was designed for me to come here and deliver the message
that I'm about to deliver to you.
All right.
So I'm scrolling through the feed and I see a picture of this woman and her name is Katie.
And Katie looks like, you know, pretty frustrated in her picture.
And I'm like, man, that's a weird picture to, that's a weird picture to post. You know,
what's going on with Katie? So I click on Katie's photo and I find out that she's quit 75 hard.
And she says that it's too hard for her, and she quit.
And I understand that because it is a hard program.
The program is not for everybody.
A lot of people think this is a challenge, some internet bullshit, and it's not.
It's an actual program that's very hard to do, and it's designed to be very hard for a specific reason. So I don't mind when people, you know, fall off, but you have to understand the program's
designed for you to start back over.
Well, this was a little bit different kind of a post.
She said she was quitting and that this was too hard for her.
And so I stopped for a second.
I thought about it.
I sent her a message.
I said, hey, you know, there's a big difference between you deciding to do something else and you
not being able to do it.
If you did it one day, you could do it 75 days.
It's really simple.
All right.
You just repeat the day over and over and over again.
A lot of you guys make this way too fucking complicated.
All right.
Every single one of you who have gotten through one fucking day of this shit can make it through
75 days.
You're deciding not to make it through 75 days.
And that should be noted as a huge difference.
All right.
Now, regardless, I was sent the message and, you know, I just want to give a little kick
in the butt because that's what I do.
And that's who I am.
And, you know, I'm a coach. That's what I do. But what I wanted to address was not Katie.
I scrolled down, I read all the comments. There was probably half a dozen comments on her post.
And every single one of them was congratulating her on quitting, was saying, oh, it's okay to quit.
You know, it's blah, blah, blah. This is one of the most restrictive programs ever.
Well, no fucking shit. I tell you that right up front. It is. That's the point. Okay.
But if you're pacifying people, if you're celebrating people quitting things that they
truly want to do because you're not able to do them, because that's what it is, okay?
We live in this society right now where everybody is crabs in a bucket.
Most of you have heard the story of the crabs in the bucket, all right? You have a bunch of crabs in a bucket. Most of you have heard the story of the crabs in the bucket. All right. You have a bunch
of crabs in a bucket. One of them tries to crawl up and get out of the bucket. And what happens?
The rest of the crabs grab onto it and try to pull it back down. Why do they do that? They do that
because they want to feel better because they couldn't do it either. Okay. And so I want to address some of you guys
who are celebrating people's fucking failures with them. You think you're doing a good job.
You think you're helping them. You think you're being a good friend. You're fucking not.
You're being a crab in the bucket. You're reaching up, you're pulling somebody that you care about down
and trying to make them feel okay for being less than what they could be and what they want to be.
And you think you're doing something noble. You think you're doing something good. And I'm going
to tell you right now, all of you who do this should be fucking ashamed of yourselves.
Because here's a woman who's trying to do something that is
extremely difficult. Most people have not truly accomplished anything in their lives that is
actually difficult. They think they have, but they haven't. And so what that creates is a scenario
where people walk around like an empty shell of themselves, feeling zero fulfillment, feeling zero pride, having zero confidence, and not believing in who they could be and who they are at heart.
Because the program doesn't build you.
The program exposes you.
And that's a line that most of you cannot understand.
Now, if you decide to quit the program because you think your goals are something else,
fine. This ain't for everybody. Not everybody can do a fucking Ironman.
Not everybody can run a marathon. Not everybody can make millions of dollars.
That's a fucking fact. So if you decide that something is better for you, great. But when
you see someone who is doing something that they want to do, and then they have a hard time,
a bump in the road, and you act like one of these crabs and you pull them down because you want to feel better
about who the fuck you are, that's sad. That's the real epidemic that we have going on in this
country. Okay. We have an epidemic for sure. And that epidemic is mediocrity. That epidemic is
comfort. That epidemic is wanting everybody else to be the same as us
because we're insecure about our lack of ability to execute on things.
All of you guys out there who try to comfort people and make people feel good and pacify
people when they fucking have a hiccup, you are doing them a disservice. You are holding them back and you
are selfishly pacifying yourself for what you couldn't do. That's a fact. There's all kinds
of arguments out there about the 75 hard challenge. Well, it's not a fucking challenge. That's your
first mistake. This is a program. It's very difficult. It's not for everybody. It's not a fucking challenge. That's your first mistake. This is a program. It's very difficult.
It's not for everybody.
It's not a fucking fitness program.
Fitness is an element of it,
but it is designed to reprogram your brain
so that you can learn to believe in you,
which is what all of you lack for the most part.
If you had the qualities of confidence, if you had the
qualities of self-esteem, self-belief, fortitude, grit, discipline, mental toughness, you wouldn't
need a new program every three fucking months. You wouldn't need a program for your finances. You wouldn't need a program for
your relationships. You wouldn't need another fitness program. You would understand how to
execute because let's be real. The reason you need all these other programs every three months
is because the story that you tell yourself goes like this. Well, I tried that, but it didn't really work.
No, motherfucker, you didn't do it.
That's why it didn't work.
And that goes for every fucking weight loss program,
every business program, every relationship program.
It goes for every motherfucking program.
The missing link is and always has been you.
So when you see someone who is attempting to do good,
when you see someone who's struggling,
when you see someone who is literally posting on the internet that they quit and they can't do it,
and you come on and you say,
well, you know, it's really a restrictive program. It's so hard to do. You
know, I think everybody needs to have this day or, you know, a comment that says, well, I just
replace shit with other shit that I want to do because I think that's better. Let me ask you
something. What about your life makes you qualified to just fucking change everything
to make it comfortable for you?
And let me ask you another question.
Isn't the reason that you're frustrated?
Isn't the reason that you struggle?
Isn't the reason that you have unhappiness with who you are and what you're about?
Isn't that reason because you've taken every single fucking thing in your entire life and reprogrammed it and adjust it to be comfortable for you.
Do you think that could be the reason why you are even doing this program?
There is a level of ignorance and unawareness in this country when it comes to achievement that disgusts me.
And now we're seeing it overflow.
Into society.
Every single human.
That's listening to this right now.
Is 1000% capable.
Of executing this program.
It's scalable.
That means.
If you're 1000 pounds.
And you can move your arms back and forth
you can do that for 45 fucking minutes
everything else is a fucking excuse and i don't really give a shit what you think of me
this program isn't for fucking people who want to cook fucking french fries
and cheeseburgers at fucking
McDonald's their whole life. This program is for people that want to become elite, that want to
become the best version of their motherfucking selves so that they can look in the mirror every
fucking day and say, yeah, I'm proud of you. I believe in you. You can do anything you want. You are powerful.
And not just say it with some bullshit affirmation like most of the world will tell you is okay.
I mean, say it and actually mean it.
That's what you're all after.
All of you.
All of you. You're all after the peace and the comfort and the happiness and the pride that comes with
knowing exactly what the fuck you're made of. So yeah, there are easier programs and yeah,
there are other fitness programs and yeah, there are other things you can do and yeah,
this is fucking hard.
Those are all true. But I'm going to tell you what else is true.
The world needs motherfucking fry cooks too.
