Successful people don't achieve greatness... by accident. If you want to be a champion and accomplish great things, you simply cannot be passive. Take control of your day!

Starting point is 00:00:00 I want to be a motherfucking hustler. You better ask somebody. What is up guys? You're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy, I'm your host, and I am the motherfucking CEO. Guys, if this is your first time listening on Tuesdays, practical application, business, life, anything and everything that has to do with being the CEO of you or being the CEO of an actual company. That's what we do on Tuesdays. Okay. We're going to give you practical tools. We're going to give you things that you can put into play. And then we have what we're going to do today, which is called Thursday Thunder. Sometimes we get busy around here and it turns into Friday fire, but hey, that's what you got to do. You got to make adaptations.
Starting point is 00:00:57 You got to make adjustments. And sometimes you got to go off track. And that goes right into what I want to talk to you guys about today. Are you running your day or is your day running you? Okay. And I've heard that saying before. You've heard that saying before, but what does it actually mean? What it actually means is, is are you living actively or are you living passively? Are you taking control or are you giving up control? Are you paddling your boat in the direction you want to go, especially when that direction is upstream or have you pulled your paddles in the boat and you're letting the stream take you where you want to go or where you don't want to go, which could be into the rocks over the water flow. Who the fuck knows? Okay, guys, winners live an active daily life. They go into life with a plan. They go into every single day
Starting point is 00:02:00 with a plan to win the day. They're organized. They have a set of accomplishments that they want to put down and make happen for today. They take their big goals, they deconstruct them into small daily items that need to be done that break that down into something that you can accomplish over the course of time. Okay. And if you want to learn more about that, you can go back and listen to kill it every day where I talk about something called the power list. All right, guys, you have to live an active day. You have to go in the day with a plan. Okay. If you wake up in the morning, you don't know what the fuck you're going to do. And you don't have a plan. You're living a passive life. Okay. If you go to work, not knowing who you're going to call or who you're going to do and you don't have a plan, you're living a passive life. Okay. If you go to work, not knowing who you're going to call or who you're going to email until the moment you sit down, you're living a passive life. Okay. If you go through the day eating, whatever it is that's
Starting point is 00:02:56 put in front of you or stopping at the nearest convenience, you live a passive life and you are going to fucking lose because of that. Okay, guys, there's not one successful person on the face of this earth that doesn't go into every single day with a concrete plan. Okay. Think about that. Not one. There's not one person that accidentally got where they are. There's not one person who accidentally made the progress they needed to make without a plan. Not one. So what makes you think you're going to be the only motherfucker ever to go through life without a plan and still get where you want to go? It's not going to happen. Okay, guys, if you want to be a champion, if you want to be successful, if you want to fulfill your
Starting point is 00:03:45 obligations of financially successful, of setting an example, okay, of being a leader, you've got to live an active life. You've got to live an active plan. You've got to attack the day. You've got to win the day. And you've got to stack those wins to a point of where winning is just who the fuck you are. Okay. And let's talk about what I said just for a minute. Leadership. I mentioned leadership. I talked about leadership in my last podcast, but realize this, and this is something that far too many people don't realize is that you are a leader, whether you choose to be a leader or not. Okay. There are people that look up to you. There are people that look to you for guidance. There are people that look to you and depend on you to set an example for them, whether you like it or not, whether you
Starting point is 00:04:37 asked for it or not. And that means that you are leading them regardless of what path you're on. Now think about that. Are you leading those people down the right path? Because if you're not performing, if you're not excelling, if you're not doing what needs to be done, you're leading those people down the wrong path. And so it's not just about you anymore. It's about how you're affecting them. Think about that the next time you don't want to fucking do what you know you need to do. Okay, leadership just isn't about when you choose to be a leader and stand up and say, rah, rah, rah, I'm a fucking leader. No, you're leading people regardless. It's not something that you can default out of. And I think a lot of you people need to ask yourself if you're leading people down the right path with your actions.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Because it's important. It's not just about you. It's not just your life. We're talking about the impact that you make on other people's lives. Okay? And if you want to lead people down the right path, you have to control your day. You cannot let your day control you. Every single person listening to this right now has an opportunity every single day
Starting point is 00:05:56 to win their day. It's very simple. You have to take the tasks that need to be done and you fucking do them. Okay. There's no magic to this. There's no luck to this. There's nothing other than doing what needs to be done when you need to do it. And if you look back at the end of the day and you say, I was in control of my day. I won my day. And you can make a habit out of winning your day. Guess what? You're going to fucking win your week. And guess what happens when you win two weeks or three weeks or four weeks, you create a habit of winning. And then what happens? Winning becomes less about actively trying to win and more about just who you are. So winning becomes effortless. It becomes
Starting point is 00:06:48 a character trait. It becomes something you carry with you no matter what you do. That's where you want to be. You don't want to fight this every day. You don't want to struggle this every day. Take the time to develop the discipline, to develop the habit of fucking winning. And guess what happens? You become a winner. But you can't do that with your paddles in the boat, people. You can't do that just accepting what life dishes out at you. You can't do that without a plan. Make a plan.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Execute the plan. Win the day. Take control of the day. It's that simple. I wish I could make this sound magical to you. I wish I could make this sound like there was some sort of unspoken control force that makes you not in control so that you could defer the responsibility of controlling your day onto some other force and I could let you off the fucking hook. But guess what? I can't. You are where you are because of the decisions that you've made so far. You are where you are because of the amount of wins that you've made so far or the amount of losses that you've made so far. They've all equaled up to put you right exactly where you are right now.
Starting point is 00:08:13 And I know most of you people listening to this are bad motherfuckers and you're not the type of person to sit back and just take an ass whooping from life. But guys, we all get in those habits. We all get in those mentalities of letting life control us, letting the day control us. And you have to learn to recognize when that's happening, because when that's happening, you've got to snap out of it. You've got to make a conscious decision to take control of the day right now and make it the best rest of the day that it can be when those kinds of days happen. We all have bad fucking days.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I mean, yesterday I woke up and by 10 o'clock in the morning, I wanted to take a fucking nap because I was so overwhelmed with negativity. But you know what I did? I went and worked out. I went and took positive action. And then I did three or four more things that were on my list. And you know what? By the end of the day, I could look back and say, you know what, that day started off a little rough,
Starting point is 00:09:09 but I made the best of it. And I won that motherfucker. And guys, that's what you learn. Yeah, that's what you have to learn how to do. Okay. So if you're the kind of person that is going to, which you probably aren't, but we all know these people. If you're the kind of person that's going to pull in the paddles and just say, Oh, you know, I'm just going to go with the flow and hope that it provides the best. And you know, dude, the fucking world's going to kick your ass. You know, the hippie fucking, you know, Oh, I'm just going through life. Dude, those people never fucking get where they want to go. We all know where they end up. We all, we all fucking see those people. None of you want to be those people.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Okay. It's time to take control. It's time to make a plan. It's time to fucking execute on that plan. And I'm not talking about just Monday through Friday either. I'm talking about the weekends. A lot of you guys think you can get by on Monday through Friday and. I'm talking about the weekends. A lot of you guys think you can get by on Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday or for the fucking recreation or my friends or this or that dude. No. Being ultra successful is hard as fuck. Excelling as hard, hard, hard as fuck. You have to put in all the time that you can and make that time effective for a long fucking time. It's not something that you're going to do for a week. It's not something you're going to do for a month. It's not something you're going to do for a year. It's something that you have to make a commitment to for your life.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Make a plan. Kill the fucking plan.
