Hey guys, this is Vaughn Kohler and you're listening to the MFCEO Project.
Halloween is coming up.
Boo.
Frightening.
What are you afraid of?
A lot of people fear the unknown.
That's what Andy talks about today. Never take your day off, I only work. I don't mess around, kid, I only care.
Nobody ever sees me show up.
All I do is work.
All I do is work.
All I do is work.
All I do is work.
Hey guys, what's up?
It's Andy.
You're listening to the MFCEO Project Thursday Thunder Edition.
I am the motherfucking CEO.
And we're going to talk about something today that everybody suffers from.
Every single person out there listening to this right now is afraid of the what-ifs.
They're afraid of what might happen.
They're afraid of what if I do this and it doesn't happen, all right?
And I used to think just like that.
I used to wonder if all the work would be worth it.
I used to wonder what would happen if
I did all this work and I still didn't make it. Was I wasting my time? Was all the struggle for
nothing? Was all the anxiety for nothing? Was all the fear for nothing? Would it all pay off? Would
the magical success fairies and the powers that be grant me the life I desired? Would I be one of
the lucky ones? Okay, these are all thoughts that I used to have I used
to think like every single one of you guys and then it happened okay that's when I realized that
it wasn't what if what if what if what if okay and that day happened to me when I bought my first
Lamborghini I realized that it wasn't a what if it wasn't magical it wasn't a what if. It wasn't magical. It wasn't a lottery that you won. There's no chance
and there sure as fuck isn't a success fairy out there or powers that be that grant you anything.
I can remember thinking, I did all this work all this time and now I'm here and this is my car.
That's it? That's all it is? I can remember thinking that. It wasn't what if anymore. It was, okay, this is very simple. You go out, you execute, and good shit happens.
So many of you guys get caught up on the what if, what if, what if, what if that you end up paralyzing yourself and doing nothing.
Obviously, if you're a success student, you know that's called paralysis by analysis. It's a common term, and it affects all of us.
But the point I want to bring to you guys today is nobody knows what's going to happen.
I don't know.
You don't know.
We don't know.
I'd get hit by a bus walking out of here recording this podcast.
Who knows?
Nobody knows.
But what defines success and what defines entrepreneur and what defines somebody who's
going to move through life with reckless abandon, accomplishing goal after goal, after goal, after goal is not a
perfect plan. It's not a plan of perfection with no obstacles. It's how they respond to the shit
that happens that we don't know is coming. Okay. So it's not being afraid of the unknown. It's
going into the unknown with reckless abandon,
waving your head, saying, holy fuck, I'm going to kick some ass today.
And when that shit comes, you kick its ass too.
That's what being successful is about.
It's about adjusting and taking the cards dealt.
You know, a lot of people think being successful is being dealt the perfect cards.
That's what losers fucking say, all right? The reality is it's not about being dealt the perfect cars.
It's about taking the cars you're dealt and making the most of them.
That's what being a true success is about.
So while I understand the fact that you're upset and you're scared and it's scary and it causes anxiety, it causes stress, it causes you to have diarrhea and all this stuff, I get it.
I've been there.
I still have it.
Seriously, I still have it.
Tyler's laughing at me, all right? I don't literally have it today, but there is times where I have diarrhea from stress, all right? Guys, it's normal. It's part of the process.
How are you going to look that shit in the fucking eye and defeat it? That's what makes
somebody successful. It's
not about having the perfect plan. It's not about going down the smoothest highway. It's about
taking the things that pop up and punch you in the fucking eye and hitting them back twice as hard
so that you can keep moving forward. And that's what I want you to get through this. Okay. Cause
I get so many questions about what if, what if, what if, what if, what if, what if? And it's normal to ask those questions.
It's normal to develop a good plan.
I'm not saying don't fucking plan because I know there's that one guy out there saying,
Andy, so you're saying I should just run with no fucking plan?
No, motherfucker.
That's not what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is it's good to have a plan.
It's good to have thoughts of what's going to happen.
But at the end of the day, if that stops you from going
from here to there and moving from planning to acting, you're only hurting yourself. All right.
All, none of us know what the fuck we're doing. Okay. Do we, do I have a better idea than probably
you and you're on your first day for sure. Does Bill Gates have a better idea than me? Cause he's
been doing it twice as long and, and, long and has way more experience? Yes.
But you develop that with time, guys.
And the more time you put in, the more experience you have,
the more confidence you develop in your plan so you lose a lot of that fear.
So all this fear that you guys have about what if, what if, what if, what if,
dude, that's normal.
Just go out and fucking execute.
And when bad shit happens, figure out how to get past it.
Because the reality is the bad shit that happens, 99.99% of it is not going to kill you.
It's only going to be there to serve a purpose for you to see, observe, find a solution, and move forward so you don't do it again.
And every time you accomplish that, you become stronger, your company becomes stronger, and you become more in line for success.
So don't fucking wait.
Don't worry about what if.
Don't think of it as magic.
Don't think of it as lottery.
Make a list.
Execute the fucking list.
Do that every single day for the next 10 years, and you will be where you want to be.
I fucking guarantee it.
