What is up guys you're listening to the MF CEO project I'm Andy I'm your host and I am the
motherfucking CEO guys today is Friday fire which means I'm gonna drop fire and brimstone on your
fucking dome I'm gonna cook your brain I'm gonna make it feel like hot chocolate vanilla pudding mix before it's cool
and tasty and still gross. Cause that's what I imagine brains being like is like really gross
and people eat that shit, believe it or not. So not human brains, like cow brain, brain sandwiches
and you motherfuckers that eat that are gross. But before we get to that, most of you guys know,
you follow me on Instagram and social media. You know that we're starting a new show on YouTube
called the Frisella Factor. It's a Q and A based show. Before you get any ideas of other people's
shows that the other entrepreneur ask question shows, this is going to be a lot different.
There's going to be different aspects to it. It's going to be very interactive. It's going to be very entertaining.
And it's going to be, you know, basically a new take on how to do a fucking YouTube show.
And I 1000% plan to fucking conquer YouTube 1000%. Of course, with your help. So guys,
for me to answer your questions,
I need you to ask me your questions. Now we get a lot of people asking questions on this show,
wanting us to answer their questions on this show. And we rarely do that because this is not an ask
and answer type show. This is a how to do shit show. It's how to think show. It's how to improve
show. You know, practical advice
on your actual situation is not something that we focus on. So we're going to do that through
YouTube. Now for you to ask your questions, I need you to go to askthemfceo.com. Again, that's
askthemfceo.com and you can go on there and submit your questions for the show and if we answer your
questions on the show I'll give you a shout on social media uh maybe get get you some followers
get you some eyeballs uh and help you guys in that way too so with that being said go to ask
them fco.com ask your question and we're going to get that show up and running here in just a few
days now to the point that I wanted to address, okay, I got a
question via Instagram, which I don't often answer, but I thought this was one worthy of answering
because it needs to be talked about from a couple different angles. I had a young guy ask me
yesterday, what do you do when you have a business partner that needs to get his head back in the
game? How do you motivate him to get his head back in the game? Okay. First of all, if you're
in business with someone and you're partnering with someone that you need to motivate to do what
the fuck they need to do, you've got the wrong fucking business partner. All right. Let me just
say that right up front. You guys and you young guys,
especially always have this glorified, you know, idea of I'm going to start a business with my
friends. All right. And instead of going out and doing the work yourself, you find security and
doing it with people that are your friends. And there's a reason that that saying goes, never do
business with your fucking friends.
All right.
Because I'm going to tell you what happens most of the time.
Most of the time, what happens is exactly what this young man is dealing with.
You have two people who love the idea of success, you know, the money, the cars, the planes,
the significance, the power, the recognition, all the things that people think about when they come to success, but they don't love the process of building that shit. Okay. And the process of
building that shit requires a lot of work, a lot of stress, a lot of thinking, a lot of time,
and a lot of commitment that people just aren't willing to put in. So because, you know, society
is groomed right now to think that entrepreneurship is so fucking cool. You have a lot of people
wanting to jump in and make their quote unquote millions of dollars and be fucking ballers.
All right. But the problem is, is that's not good enough. You've got to be focused on solving a
problem. You've got to be focused on providing value. You've got to be focused on solving a problem. You've got to be focused on providing value. You've got to be focused on becoming better every day. You've got to be focused on
personal development. You've got to be focused on doing the fucking work, especially when you
don't want to fucking do it. And a lot of times, most of the time when people find out what
entrepreneurship is really about, they flake the fuck out, which is what you're dealing with, dude,
who asked the question. You're dealing with a guy who's a flake, who is never going to fucking be able to do this
if you're already having to fucking pull this dude along. All right. Now I want to address
a couple other ideas based around this question. Now you are going to have people that you work
with that work for you, that work with you, that you're going to have to pull along. Okay. And, and you need to self-evaluate why that is. Usually the reason that you have to
pull people along and that they aren't motivated on their own when they work for you, when they're
a manager, when they're employee, uh, you know, whether who, whoever it is, and they constantly
leave and you're having high turnover and you're having these people who don't believe in you, that is your fault. That is not their fault. That's not
a character flaw with them. That's you. And let me tell you how you improve that. You as the manager,
as the CEO, as the number one, as the fucking head honcho, the big boss, you know, all the fucking,
you know, the pimp ever, the, the fucking man. Okay. You're the
fucking man. You big part of your job is to paint the picture for other people. That means you have
to paint the picture for your employees. You have to paint the picture for your customers. You have
to paint the picture for your investors. You have to paint the picture for the people you do business with. You have to become very good at painting a compelling picture that helps people believe in your vision. And if you
can't do that, you're going to constantly struggle with people who cannot see where the fuck you're
trying to drive your fucking train and they're going to jump off. Okay. And so when you have people, whether it be a business partner, a
manager, an employee, this, that, the other that don't believe in what you're doing or can't get
focused or can't get motivated. A lot of times that has to do with you not being able to paint
the fucking picture in a compelling manner. So what I mean by that is you should be able to draw on a fucking whiteboard within 10 minutes
a very compelling vision of how not only what you're going to do, but how you're going to do it
and where these people fit in and where the opportunities are. Because at the end of the day,
guys, a lot of people are very selfless in the way that they want to contribute and be a part
of something. But at the end of the day, you got to take care of them.
They've got to be able to understand and see a place for themselves or they're not going to fucking work.
And guys, this is digging into a further issue, which is how do I create a culture?
How do I create a situation where I have all my people in my organization rowing the right direction?
OK, and in the beginning, it might just be one business partner, but as you go, it's going to, you're going to have to have
multiples of dozens of employees. They're going to help you, you know, build this thing that you're
trying to build. And if you don't get these guys rowing in the same direction, and I use the
analogy of a boat, all right, if you got one half the boat rowing one speed, you got the other half
boat rowing a slower speed or a faster speed, guess what happens? You go in fucking circles, all right?
You don't get anywhere. You don't get where you want to go. You are the fucking orchestra conductor.
You are the guy calling the shots. Your job is to paint the picture. It's to get everybody
to rowing the same, not only the same direction, but the same pace so that you guys can move along
and do what it is you're trying to do. And you cannot do that if you're constantly having to
motivate because you're not good at painting a compelling vision and showing people where they
fit in. And guys, now let me make this very clear. This does not mean bullshit motherfuckers and lie,
because if you lie to people and you bullshit them about where they could fit in their career
opportunities, one, it's immoral. All right. You're wasting people's time to, they will find
out that you lied to them. And whenever they find out that you lied to them and they start thinking
you lied, they're going to fucking destroy your fucking business with everybody they fucking know. Three, okay, it goes
back to being immoral again, all right? Because dude, you guys have to think your customer, your
employees and your people in your organization should not be thought of as somebody who is there
to serve you. You should be there to serve them. You should be thinking about their best interests.
You should be thinking about how we're going to create a company that creates career for these people. Okay. It's moral leadership. It's
the right thing to do. And when you do the right thing, people know you're doing the right thing
for them for the right reasons. They'll come to work and bust fucking ass 10 times harder for you.
All right. So I know this is like an in-depth, you know, more in-depth answer than just like a
one or two sentence answer to how do I motivate somebody? But we're digging into deeper issues. We're digging into issues where,
you know, the reason people aren't motivated likely has to do with your communication skills
not being on point. And if you can't, like I said, stand at a whiteboard for 10 or 15 minutes
and not only draw out where you're going, how you're going to get there and where everybody
fits in to your organization, you're going to have a very difficult time getting anywhere
ever. And I'm not talking about just getting up there and saying, Oh, we're going to be a fucking
$20 million company. Everybody fucking says that. Oh yeah. One day we're going to make millions of
dollars. Everybody says that you've got to get up there and say, this is how we're going to do this.
This is the, this is a solution that we're going to say, this is how we're going to do this. This is the solution
that we're going to provide. This is how we're going to get customers to get the results they're
looking for, whether it be a product, a service, or anything else. And this is how we're going to
help people. And by helping people in this way, we're going to earn money. And when we earn money,
we're going to grow the company in this way. And you have to be able to dot these things out on a whiteboard and connect the dots for people because most
people can't see what the fuck it is that you see. So if you're having trouble with motivating,
if you're having trouble, like you're, if you feel like you're constantly having to drag people down,
it's because you are not a good enough artist when it comes to painting the picture of where
the fuck you're going. You need to learn how to do that better. So a, you probably have a bad business partner B because a business partner
should bring a contribution to you. Like if you're going to start a business and you're thinking like,
Oh, I'm just going to do it. My friend, unless that friend brings something that you don't have,
you shouldn't be a business partner with them. Unless they bring some knowledge, work ethic,
money, uh, connections, you know, things that you don't
have, there's no reason for you to go into business with them. All right. That's where
99% of small businesses totally fuck up. Okay. Now they're going to say, people are going to say,
well, you've, you've, you've made 18 years with the business partner. Yeah. But there's things
that he does that I can't do. And there's things that I do that he can't do. So it falls into what
I said, when you need somebody to do certain skills, you've got to find somebody that compliments you. B, you know, if you are having
consistent problem with people motivated, you've got to learn how to fucking paint the picture.
So guys, realize that being a CEO is not just about numbers. It's not just about walking around
being fucking big boss man. It's about being a literal conductor of the orchestra and a problem solver at all fucking times.
All right.
And unless you're ready to sign up for that kind of deal, don't become a business owner.
Don't try to be a CEO.
Become a highly valued piece of an organization that is highly paid.
That is very, very, very beneficial to most people.
All right. So, guys, very, very beneficial to most people. All right. So guys, that's the
answer to the question. Don't forget to go to ask the MFCEO to ask your question and you can
subscribe to the YouTube channel there. We're going to be doing a lot of content, two shows
a week here coming up. And guys, thank you so much. And we'll talk to you soon.
