REAL AF with Andy Frisella - Quit Quitting, with Andy Frisella - MFCEO84
Episode Date: August 11, 2016The cheesy self-help gurus and self-proclaimed masters of success always repeat the same phrase, "Don't quit. Don't ever quit." Even though it's gotten to be a cliche and is often expressed in a suns...hine-and-unicorns way, it is true. Success is hard. The world doesn't owe you anything. You are going to have to fight like hell for every inch of progress. Above all, you have to learn how to finish. You must quit quitting.

I want to be a motherfucking hustler. You better ask somebody.
What's up, guys? You're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy. I'm your host,
and I am the motherfucking CEO. Welcome to Thursday Thunder. Guys, here's a deal I want
to hit on real quick. I want to say how much I appreciate you guys, how much I appreciate the comments, the listening, you guys bringing your
friends. You know, I'm really proud of the family that we've created here for a long time. I've
really felt that I was alone in the way that I felt in terms of, you know, these principles that we talk about
consistently, taking responsibility, taking initiative, being aggressive with your goals,
working fucking hard. Okay. I felt like, and I still feel like those principles have been washed
away by society and replaced with things like everybody wins and everybody's special.
And it's about what's fair.
And it's about, you know, making everybody feel good.
And at the end of the day, the world's just not that way.
And I fucking know it because I fucking lived it.
And you guys know the truth too.
No matter how much we tell you you're special,
no matter how much we decide somebody should win,
at the end of the day, it's just not the case.
So I just want to say thank you to you guys for believing in this message.
You represent what's right in society.
You represent what's good.
You represent here in America what this country was built upon,
and we've created what I feel is a great movement in the positive direction
when a big chunk of our society is all
about being a pussy, to be completely honest. And so I just want to say how much I appreciate you
guys and how much I appreciate you guys bringing me, you know, one friend. You know, I always ask,
we don't charge for this. We don't do anything monetarily. This is a project of passion for me. And I just ask that you bring
me one friend. You don't have to bring me a thousand friends or a million friends or all
of your friends. Bring me that one guy who thinks the same way that we think, you know, and is going
to feel like a part of this movement. Because at the end of the day, guys, the way we think and
the things that we do here are going to matter in the long term.
Because we're going to bring back the principles that have made society a successful society thus far, a good society.
And we're going to bring back the idea that personal success is a good thing.
So, guys, you got that one guy out there. You know, I used to be that one guy out there that felt alone, felt like he wasn't part of a society and felt crazy for the way that he thought,
you know, guys bring those people in, man, because like we all think this way. Not everybody just
wants to say it. So with that being said, guys, I want to talk to you about something that I think is over preached about when it comes to like these success gurus. And it's
like, you know, they all say the same fucking thing, right? Oh guys, you know, just keep your
head down and don't quit. Don't quit guys, because quitting is bad. You know what? I'm going to tell
you something right now. You should fucking quit. And you know what you should quit?
You should quit fucking quitting.
All right?
I want you to think about something, and I want you to think about it in terms of your life.
Now, if you wanted to run a marathon, but every time you got frustrated,
every time you got tired, every time you got winded, every time you got sore,
you turned around and went back to the starting line and started over because you were all of these things that are painful. Would you ever complete the goal
of running your marathon? Of course not. Guys, life is the same. Success is the same. Nothing
worthwhile is going to be given to you. It's going to be earned and it's going to be earned
through your pain, through your misery, through your suffering. None of it's going to be given to you. It's going to be earned and it's going to be earned through your pain, through your misery, through your suffering. None of it's going to be fucking easy guys.
And the factor that separates almost every single person in life that's been successful
is people that succeed, quit fucking quitting. When things get hard, itting is a habit. Okay. Quitting is, is, is a mentality. It's a,
it's a core value of people. All right. They get a little bit down the road and either they
don't finish or they say, man, this is hard. I'm going to try something else or man, this is hard.
I'm going to try doing this. You know, this isn't for me because it's fucking hard. It's all fucking
hard. That's what you don't understand. Any path you take to get where you want to be,
if that place is worthwhile to go,
it's going to be fucking hard.
So quit judging you're quitting
or you're wanting to do something else
based upon how hard something is
because every single path that you could possibly take
to get somewhere where you want to be
is going to be hard.
That's just a fact of reality of this earth, okay? But that's what you have to understand.
Struggle, pain, misery, frustration, those are signs that you are A, on the right path and B, making progress. You have to learn to identify
these things as indications that you are on the right path. Okay. Nobody that is where you want
to be has gotten there without these struggles, without the bleeding, without the pain, without
the depression, without the misery, Nobody. So what makes you think that
you're going to be able to be that person that gets there with none of those things?
Guys, life is hard. Success is really fucking hard. And if you want to be something big,
you want to dream big, you want to be something great, you are going to have to learn to accept
the struggle as part of the recipe.
Okay?
Every single day you need to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself,
what am I willing to do to get what I want?
And if the answer is whatever the fuck I have to,
you'll probably get there in time.
But if it's anything less, you won't.
And that's just a fact of life guys the world doesn't owe
you shit you're not going to be handed shit and you're going to be shit unless you can understand
how to quit fucking quitting
