Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up guys, you're listening to the MSCEO Project, Thursday Thunder. I'm Andy, I'm your host, and I am the motherfucking CEO. Today, we're going to bring some heat. I'm going to drop you some knowledge. I'm going to bring a major key, as my boy DJ Khaled would say, to success. All right? I want to talk to you about something that all successful people do. I want to talk to you about something that all successful people know how to do,
Starting point is 00:00:38 and they know how to do it so well that it becomes nature to them. All right. Every single person on this earth who has created a career, who has created a well-paying career, who has become a millionaire, who has become a billionaire, they all share one trait in common. And that trait is this. They know how to make an impact. Okay? What does that mean, Andy? What does make an impact mean? It means make a fucking impact on every single person that you ever come across on a daily basis from now until the end of the earth.
Starting point is 00:01:20 All right? That is what successful people understand how to do. It doesn't matter if it is the president of the United States or if it's the bellhop at the hotel you're staying at. You understand how to make that person feel important, how to make that person feel valued, how to make yourself remembered. All right. And that's what I want to talk to you guys about today. Let's talk about this for a second. I own a retail company. I own multiple companies. One of them happens to be retail. The thing that most, my most successful employees do is very, very, very simple. They know how to become remembered. They know how to become a name. They know how to become somebody that the person they're waiting on values. How do you do that?
Starting point is 00:02:09 All right. I'll tell you that. One, you could do that by being extremely friendly. All right. That's how you would start. Hey, Joe, how you doing? Nice to see you again. Know things about the person.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Shake their hand firmly. Look them in the eye. That in itself is becoming so rare these days because of the way everybody's staring at their phone and the way everybody's always hooked up with technology that by just shaking someone's hand and looking them in the eye and saying, nice to meet you, man, how are you doing is such an incredible and huge opportunity to become remembered. And most people don't even take advantage of it. All right. The other thing that my successful employees do is they make sure that no matter what, that person leaves with the solution that they came in for, not just in a way
Starting point is 00:03:01 that services that solution, but in a way that goes over the top to that person to the point where they have to go on the internet or they have to go somewhere and tell somebody about the incredible experience they had with Bart at Supplement Superstores. People understand what it's like to make an impact. And when you make an impact, whether it be to your customers or whether it be to your higher ups, whatever position you're in, my guys, the same guys I'm talking about now, they know how to make an impact on the people above them. How do you make an impact on management? How do you make an impact on the people above you that oversee your job? Guess what? You make their job easier. You do things that you're
Starting point is 00:03:47 not expected to do and you do them with the level of enthusiasm that makes them say, wow, I really love Bart. He is a fucking pleasure to be around. He's an awesome guy. He makes my life easier. I love Bart. Okay. Making an impact, whether it be on a customer, whether it be on, okay, let's, let's take it a step further. You're a manager. All right. And you want your employees to love you. How are you going to do that? You need to make an impact on your employees. How do you do that? All right. How about this? How about teaching them how to be competent in their abilities? How about helping them do what they need to do? You know, instead of saying, Hey Joe, go scrub the fucking toilet. How about you go in there and help them scrub the toilet?
Starting point is 00:04:30 Earns respect, makes an impact, creates bond, creates loyalty. You guys have to understand that every single person that you talk to, whether it be in the corporate structure below you or the corporate structure above you, you have to make an impact on them. In society, whether it be in the corporate structure below you or the corporate structure above you, you have to make an impact on them. In society, whether it be the waitress or waiter, whether it be the checker at the grocery store, whether it be whoever, all those people, every single one of them is a potential advocate of you. Something that I heard a long time ago in my career as a businessman was to act as if you always have a camera crew following you around. It holds you accountable. It creates a situation where you treat people in a way that you are accountable for every single time.
Starting point is 00:05:24 So for example, when that waitress brings you the water, you say thank you. When that waitress clears the table, you say thank you. You know, treat them with respect because that person, guess what? When you give them their credit card, you don't think they fucking look at the name and say, oh wow, that's Andy Frisella.
Starting point is 00:05:40 That guy was a fucking nice guy. I really like him. I'm gonna Google him. I'm gonna look on social media and see what he does. If you don't think that's what me motherfuckers do, you're crazy. All right. Every interaction matters. Every time you talk to somebody matters. Every single person that you meet, every single person you talk to online, everything matters. And your job is to make an impact. And the best way that you can make an impact is to create value for that person. Sometimes you don't have a chance to create a lot of value.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Sometimes you might not have 20 minutes to talk to the waitress about whatever's going on with her. But you know what? Common courtesy can create a lot of value as well because a lot of people don't have it. Think about that waitress who's on her feet for 15 hours a day working a double who is getting shit on the whole entire day. A great way to stand out and be remembered is to be overly polite even when she fucks up. Okay, you guys, a lot of you guys listening to this are not grasping. You pick and choose your situations to be quote unquote on. You can't do that. You've got to be on all the time. You've got to be on whether you're at your job. You've got to be on whether
Starting point is 00:06:49 you're at the grocery store. You've got to be on whether you're wherever the fuck you are. This is a character trait. It's a character trait of making an impact. Every single millionaire, every single billionaire, every single successful person I know has this about them. They understand how to become remembered. They understand how to stand out and they understand how to affect people in a positive way on a regular basis to the point where people spread excellent word of mouth about them. Okay. A lot of people are listening right now and they're like, Oh, well, you know, everybody fucking hates Donald Trump. No, not everybody hates Donald Trump. People with an agenda hate Donald Trump. Okay. The other people that don't want him to win hate him. All the people that know him personally, by all accounts, think he's a great guy. Okay. Same thing with some of these other people in politics. I'm not using Donald Trump for any other reason than it's just an example because everybody likes to hate on him. But the point of what I'm trying to say is successful people make an impact. They look for opportunities to matter. They look for opportunities to stand out. They look for opportunities to make
Starting point is 00:07:54 an impact on every single day of their life, whether that be with the police officer that just pulled you over for a ticket. All right. Think about that shit. Are you trying to make an impact with that guy? Are you pouting and crying like a little bitch? Well, what if that guy could possibly need your services one day? Or what if that guy could possibly be a customer of your business? You have no idea. You don't know. And you need to always be on when it comes to that. So guys, work on making an impact. Say hi to people. Shake their hands. Nice to meet you. Look them in the eye. Make them feel important. And I mean everybody. Contribute. Help. Don't make your employees that are under you do the shit jobs on their own. Go
Starting point is 00:08:39 help them do it. It's going to earn you respect. It's going to earn you trust. It's going to earn you loyalty. And guess what? If you're the employee that's being managed, do more than what you're expected to do. And you know what? The people above you are going to recognize that and you're going to make an impact on them. You're going to stand out amongst your peers. Making an impact is the number one most valuable success trait of any of the shit that we could talk about on this podcast. If you don't understand how to purposefully and actively make an impact on every single person that you meet, there is no fucking way you will ever make it in this world. What's up? Okay. Shut up. Ha ha. Okay. What's up? Shut up.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Ha ha. Okay. What's up? Right on.
