I'm Andy and I am the motherfucking CEO.
I'm hoping that some of you guys are actually becoming MFCEOs yourself after listening to the podcast.
You know that's the goal. The goal is to become the motherfucking CEO of your own life.
I got a little thought I want to share with you guys. It's Thursday Thunder. It's been a while since we've done this.
I apologize. You know, I had like a voice thing that made me sound like DJ Khaled, which was cool for like a minute, you know, on my
Snapchat, but then my voice came back and now it's just regular Andy again. Um, so I apologize
for that, but I'm going to hit up, hit you guys up with something that I'm thinking about right now.
Um, and I've been thinking about as I pay attention to the world in general,
and that is the idea of taking pride in what you do. And I'm not talking about taking pride in
some things. I'm not talking about taking pride in organizing your sock drawer, your underwear
drawer, and everything else goes to shit. I'm talking about taking pride in every single
thing that you do. Okay. And that's a concept that is congruent with success on so many different
levels that I cannot even begin to explain to you. I do not know one successful person,
whether it be, um, you know, a successful artist or somebody who's made millions of dollars
or somebody who's made a huge impact in the world with charity or anything.
I don't know anybody who has been successful who doesn't take extreme pride in ownership
in every single detail of their life.
I'm not talking about, you know, just when people are looking or when the cameras are rolling
or when the bright lights are in your face.
I'm talking about when you're alone.
Do you leave the toilet paper unreplaced?
Do you leave cups out on the counter?
Do you let your lawn get unruly?
I'm talking about little things, things that because of social media, people might not ever know about you. You know, guys, whether your goal is to do big things or little things,
whether it's negotiating billion-dollar real estate deals or bagging groceries
or emptying the fucking trash can in your bathroom,
you need to take pride in how it's done.
You know, what does taking pride even mean?
What does that mean?
Like, how do you take pride in wiping the piss droplets off the toilet seat?
Okay. Let's talk about basic shit that people don't fucking do because they're too lazy.
I walk into a public restroom and I see piss droplets on the fucking toilet seat. Like, dude,
how fucking lazy are you? If you can't wipe the piss droplets off the toilet seat, what the fuck can you do?
And that's the point.
You know, taking pride means having a sense of value to yourself that you hold yourself to.
It means taking initiative.
It means outworking every single motherfucker that you know in life.
It means paying attention to little details.
It means demanding quality in every single thing that you do, guys. And I can't stress to you how important the idea of taking pride in what you do, because
what you do tells the world what you are.
Okay?
What you do, the results you produce, tells the world everything that it needs to know
about you.
Okay?
So why do we have to take pride? Well,
A, you don't want people to think you're a piece of shit. B, that's how you create the habits and
the discipline that it takes to become successful. And C, guess what? You're going to feel great
about yourself. You're going to build confidence in yourself. You're going to have high self-esteem because you know that you do what
needs to be done, whether it be wiping the piss droplets off the toilet seat or whether it be,
you know, walking somebody across a busy street or whether it be replacing a grocery cart that's
out in the middle of nowhere. We're talking about be a good person type of shit. And when you do
that, you're going to feel great about yourself because you've earned it.
Not because you quote unquote should feel good about yourself.
No, if you're a piece of shit and you tinkle in the seat without wiping it off, you shouldn't feel good about yourself.
Period.
And the idea of everybody gets to feel good, it's just the same concept we talk about all the time.
There's trophies for 17th place. No, that's bullshit, dude. You're either a winner or
you're a fucking loser and winners take pride in what they do. Guys, I love this country.
I'm proud to be an American, but I think a lot of people have lost the commitment
to taking pride in every single detail and we've suffered for it. It's obvious. Take five minutes
and go through fucking Facebook and see what the shit people suffered for it. It's obvious. Take five minutes and go through fucking Facebook.
And see what the shit people are complaining about.
It's ridiculous.
You know.
I've said this before.
Success is your obligation.
And restoring a full level of greatness to this country.
Begins with each of our own commitment.
To being great.
And taking pride in every single detail that we have control of.
Take pride in everything you do.
Don't be a fucking bitch.
