"Everything you do is competition," says The MFCEO.  You can't hide from it.  You can't pretend that life on Earth doesn't run by the rules of "compete or die."  You will either be a do-nothing or ...a champion. The good news is that it is not a zero sum game. Anyone who adopts a killer competitive attitude and commits to hard work can win at life.

Starting point is 00:00:00 I want to be a motherfucking hustler. You better ask somebody. Hey guys, what's up? You're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy, I'm your host, and I am the motherfucking CEO. Guys, if this is your first time listening, the motherfucking CEO of your life is supposed to be you. Okay. So many people go through life thinking other people are in control or waiting for opportunities to happen or wishing things would happen to them that just don't. And what this podcast is about is a entrepreneurship and be personal development around the principles of entrepreneurship that can apply to anybody within an organization. So you don't have to own a company. You don't have
Starting point is 00:00:54 to be an actual CEO, but at the end of the day, you are the CEO of you. And I hope that you'll learn to be a motherfucking CEO with some swagger, some attitude, some confidence, and go through life kicking ass. And that is the purpose of this podcast. Pulling the old switcheroo on you guys today. And instead of Thursday Thunder, we're going to give you Friday Fire. And why? No, it's not because I'm a marketing genius and I want to come up with Friday Fire. It's because I got too fucking busy. This isn't my full-time job. I actually run companies, as most of you know. We got wound up, we got busy. One thing led to another and it just didn't happen. So we're going to bring some Friday fire and I think you're going to enjoy what we're
Starting point is 00:01:39 going to talk about. Today, I want to talk about competition, okay? Everything you do, whether you admit it or not, is competition. So many people go through life trying to hide from the fact that they are in a competition. I saw an article on Facebook yesterday about people petitioning to have the ball removed from soccer with a group of 12 year old kids because they didn't want their kids to feel as if they had to compete against the other kids. What the fuck? The world is a competitive place. The world is a tough place. The world is a place that if you don't accept the fact that you are in a competition, you will get fucking destroyed. And by destroyed, I mean stomped on, kicked, beat, curb stomped to a point where you'll be broke, desolate, miserable, and wondering what the fuck happened to you.
Starting point is 00:02:52 And we don't want that for you. We want you to be a fucking champion. We want you to be a winner. We want you to go through every single day kicking ass for yourself and kicking ass for everybody around you, including your family and the people depend on you. It is your obligation to kick ass. And so many people don't understand that concept because they want everything to be fair. They want everybody to get a trophy. They want everybody to feel like a winner. But is that how the world was designed to work? Is everybody supposed to win? No, there's winners and there's fucking losers.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Okay. So that's the first step to understanding what this world is about. If you want proof, let's take a look at nature. Is nature a competition? Fuck yeah, it is. Do you think nature gives you an opportunity to opt out of competing because you don't feel like it? No. Do you think nature gives a shit if everyone thinks they deserve to win? If every raccoon deserves to live? If every rodent deserves to eat a fucking nice meal? No, it's kill or be fucking killed. And the success food chain is no different. The strong, the skilled, the dedicated, they thrive. The passive others that don't want to admit they're in a competition because they don't want to compete with their neighbors, they don't. And you may think you're choosing not to compete,
Starting point is 00:04:27 but you can't opt out. It's just like nature. If you're a mouse and you decide, hey, you know, I'm not going to compete in the nature's food chain and you're hanging out. Do you think you're any less likely to get fucking eaten? No. And success in life is no different. You can opt out all you want in your own head, but prepare for a fucking ass beating because that's what you're going to get. And you could cry, you can whine, you can pout, and you can bitch about how unfair that is, but it's irrelevant. You are a part of the proverbial food chain of success, whether you like it or not. And the biggest difference in success food chain,
Starting point is 00:05:06 as opposed to the nature food chain, is that you have a choice of what you're going to be and where you're going to fall in that food chain. In nature, you're either born a grizzly bear or you're born a rodent. And that's what you have to be. And you gotta fucking deal with it. But in the success food chain of life, you could be born a rodent, but you could become a grizzly bear over time. And it does take time, but you have the fucking choice to be whatever you want to be.
Starting point is 00:05:37 You could choose to be the grizzly bear. You could choose to have discipline. You could choose to invest in personal development. You can choose how to spend your nights and weekends. You can choose who you surround yourself with. You can choose to go the extra mile for others. You can choose to persevere. You can choose to take pride in every fucking detail. Okay. You can choose to bring value to everything and everyone you come in contact with. You can choose to be enthusiastic. You can choose to bring value to everything and everyone you come in contact with. You can choose to be enthusiastic. You can choose to take initiative and do what needs to be done.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You can choose to accept responsibility for yourself, your situation, and every fucking situation around you. You can choose to be a lifetime student of success. You can choose to execute day in and day out. You could choose to not cut corners. You could choose to do the fucking work and you could choose success. Yes, my friends, you have a choice, but don't be mistaken. You are in a competition, whether you ask to be in it or not. And ignoring, denying, refusing to acknowledge that fact is the same as choosing to be a fucking rodent.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Your actions make that choice for you every single day. So what's it going to be? You're going to man the fuck up? You're going to do what needs to be done? You're going to be? You're going to man the fuck up. You're going to do what needs to be done. You're going to take responsibility. Are you going to make the choice to be a fucking grizzly bear? Are you going to go down the stream of life with no fucking paddles and end up being a fucking rodent and pointing your finger at everybody else like a motherfucking pussy would? Because
Starting point is 00:07:20 those are your two fucking choices and those are your two fucking choices. And those are your only two choices.
