My name is Peter Parker, but I'm also Spider-Man.
This July, we're faced with a threat.
That can be anyone.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker.
I'm just a neighbor, friendly neighbor.
But he hasn't forgotten them.
Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing.
That's my responsibility.
Talk to Banner?
I didn't know you could get that big.
Spider-Man, brand-new day in theaters July 31st.
Here we go.
Someone's already claiming this is our year.
Someone else said that last year too.
A round of Jameson, ginger, and lime arrives at a table.
Smooth enough for kickoff, smooth enough for extra time.
New friends pulling up a stool.
Debates about whether that was a handball.
Cheers rising like a roar around the room.
Because match days are about the shared moments.
How did Jameson to your match day lineup?
Jameson, it's what you bring.

Hello and welcome to another piece of regulation supplemental content.
This one is a long time coming, one that we've been holding on to.
We've been very excited to do waiting for just the right moment to do it.
It's a watchalong of one of the greatest films of the 90s, according to one of us.
It is the movie behind the suit.
No, not the tuxedo.
We are talking about snake eyes.
Snick eyes.
Nick Cade's got the.
them snake eyes on you.
Us watching the tuxedo is available.
Yeah, that is available.
We already did that one.
We don't need to do it twice.
This is also snake eyes that came out in 1998,
the last good year.
This is not snake eyes that came out in 2021.
That is the G.I. Joe movie, Snake Eyes.
Nothing to do with G.I. Joe as far as I'm aware.
What if I rented the wrong one?
That would be very fun.
All right.
We have to watch it if you do.
Snake Eyes, 1998 movie,
corrupt Atlantic City police officer, Rick Santoro,
and Navy Commander Kevin Dunn joined forces to investigate
both the assassination of Secretary of Defense Charles Kirkland
and the disappearance of a beautiful stranger.
This is a Brian De Palma film.
Oh, wow.
I got a fun piece of trivia about Gary Senese's Kevin Dunn character.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
Gary Senese plays a character named Kevin Dunn and there's an actor in the movie
named Kevin Dunn.
Like, that's just his name.
And there was a mix-up and he got Gary Sinise's hotel switch.
which was like a penhouse.
No way.
And then they realized that they gave him Gary Seneese's suite and he got kicked out and put into a basic hotel chain.
Wow.
So there are two Kevin Duns.
There's a fictional and real Kevin Dunn in this Snake Eyes movie.
Is there a fictional Gary Sinise?
Oh, maybe.
You didn't go to that.
So Brian De Palma, long and storied career, made a lot of stuff, maybe best known for making the video dancing in the dark.
the Bruce Springsteen music video.
But you might also know him
from Carlito's Way in Mission Impossible.
Mission Impossible is the movie
that he made right before this.
Do you know the movie
that he made right after this?
No idea.
I looked at it and I couldn't tell you.
Look who's talking three.
He made...
I like a confidential.
He made a movie
in the year 2000
called Mission to Mars.
Oh, yes.
Tim Robbins, Gary Senees, Don Cheadle.
Is that the one where he takes his helmet off
and he goes all frosty?
I believe that is the movie.
Nobody saw this movie.
I don't think anybody like this movie.
So it's really weird that he went from Carlito's Way
in Mission Impossible to just like, oof, oof.
Carlito's Way is such a good film.
It really is.
And he made Bonfire the Vanities.
There's a lot.
Oh, Bonfire The Vanity is great.
I mean, I don't know that it held up,
but it was great back in the day.
Mission to Mars is one of those movies where I kept catching the middle of it on TV, but I never saw the beginning or the end.
There were a few years where Mission to Mars was constantly on, but you're never allowed to watch the beginning or the end.
You can watch 20 minutes on, but then the last 20 minutes are a mystery to you.
Would you say that Mission to Mars is a middle only movie then?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's cool.
Yeah.
Wow.
Just one big act two.
Yep.
So that's a lot of De Palma stuff, like the Untouchables.
He's just done so much cool stuff,
Scarface and Blowout and everything.
But this is definitely, I would say,
listen, I don't want to say on his decline,
but I don't know that Snake Eyes is going to be
the movie that you think it's going to be
if you came in watching Scarface.
Are you guys ready to watch Snake House?
Yeah.
I watched this for the first time last year
when I watched all the summer 98 films.
I'm ready for a re-watch.
I have never seen it, and I'd never heard of it before Eric mentioned it.
I don't want to, zero spoilers,
but I do.
I want to just shout out a thing
I want people to be on a lookout for.
Be on watch for an ambulance in this movie,
an exterior shot of an ambulance,
and we will talk about it later.
Yep.
Nick is hitting buttons.
Nick is going crazy.
You got to turn off that little window there
that says your video will play in standard definition.
All right, Nick, are you ready to count this down
so everyone can watch along?
All right, we rented this on Prime.
So in 3-2-1, we're going to play it.
3-2-1, play.
He did it.
He did it.
I've done it.
Wow, this is only a 98-minute movie.
It does not.
It feels so much longer than that.
Not in a negative way necessarily.
It just feels long.
Paramount.
It's good.
Thunder.
Wow.
The second the film started, Eric left the room.
That's what you think, Jeff.
Oh, right.
I've got to put on my snake eyes outfit.
Eric is wearing the snake eyes outfit while watching the snake eyes movie which is crazy
He's gonna see his own clothes in the film
Now have any of y'all ever been to Atlantic City?
No never
Oh
You?
Yeah of course I lived in Jersey for a couple years
Pretty close to the shore
It did not nothing to write home about
John Hurd is in this
Carl Gino
He's in this
Carly Gugino
I love Carla Gagino
Almost filmed the rain machine there.
Hey, there's Kevin Dunn.
Did a radio show with a guy named Kevin Dunn.
Did he get Gary Sinise's suite?
He might have.
He was on the first season of the real world.
Mike Star.
He was on the real world.
That was in New York.
Oh, is that the guy from the mask?
Oh.
Gary Sinise?
Oh.
No, the dude who puts on the mask at the end, right?
No.
That's Kevin Dunn.
Mask.
I'm wearing that!
Are you thinking of Jim Carrey?
No, no, no, no.
Oh, okay.
I'm wearing that right now.
You are wearing that suit right now.
I got married in that necklace.
It's true.
It's true.
I was wearing the watch, I think.
Got my ring on.
Oh, it's the dad from Transformers.
Kevin Dunn.
Oh, that's Kevin Dunn.
That's Kevin Dunn.
He got disrespected out of Carrie Sanis's room.
He's a pretty big-time character actor.
He is. Small soldiers?
I bet he's got,
I bet he's been in 150 films.
Probably.
Warrior.
Now, if this was made today,
this would be in Saudi Arabia.
Because it's boxing.
It's like,
there's so much work that the,
like,
the B team had to do.
It was just like,
go film this other stuff.
I'm not,
I'm Brian DePoma.
I'm not filming this.
See,
I almost feel like this is the only stuff
that Brian DePama filmed.
Because between this and Mission Impossible,
like the intros to these movies are fucking awesome.
Nicholas Cage and I have the exact same fucking hair alone.
Eric, turn towards me?
I'm just trying to screen match your outfit.
No hints.
The government's listening.
He's having so much fun in this movie.
I love,
I feel like he has fun in every movie.
Screenplay by the guy who wrote Jurassic Park in Mission Impossible
and BlackBag.
If you haven't seen BlackBag,
really recommend it.
Very good.
I love Nick Cage in the movie where he plays himself.
What is that?
Oh, the Unbearable.
lightness of whatever.
That's Jake Paul.
Jake!
So this is before the blood got on the shirt.
Yes.
Yeah.
Different shot.
So, spoilers, there will be blood.
There will be blood.
Different movie.
Different movie.
That's, uh,
he's in Sopranos.
He's Jackie.
Jackie, April?
Jackie, April.
Yep.
Interesting beard shape.
It's 98, baby.
Nick, Nick, Nick.
Do your beard like that.
Nick
What if a goatee just go down
Oh you know we should do?
Here I have a great idea
And we can put this in the books and make it official
Yeah
We'll just throw it on the next wheel we do
Nick has to shave his beard that way
And then if we lands on it
That's up to the wheel
So on the wheel is just going to say
Nick shapes his beard that way
Yeah, Nick shaves his beard that way
Whatever the next wheel is
It's level with the horizon somehow
Yeah
You could hang pictures if he stood next
Yeah.
That guy running.
He's running.
He's running.
He's going to catch Luis.
It's hard to move in the suit.
It's not comfortable.
Oh.
There's the bracelet, the watch, the ring.
I'm wearing the ring.
We didn't get the badge.
The rest of it's at home.
Oh, I wore the bracelet.
That's what I wore during the wedding.
Whoa.
Oh, God.
He's done himself.
That's what's his name?
Luis Guzman.
Luis Guzman.
You know, he doesn't look like he's aged at all.
Yeah, he's in a commercial with Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin right now.
He looks the same age.
What year was Boogie Nights?
Because he's in Boogie Nights also.
Buggy Nights?
Is that 97?
It came out in 1997.
It was the year I bought a DVD player.
It was the first DVD I bought.
That's cool.
This is a Dutch angle, Kevin?
Man, we've gone Dutch.
These are long shots.
Yes, they are.
These are really long shots.
Yeah, not a lot of cuts.
I like it.
They hid the cuts.
But yeah, it's like it.
I mean, even take away how they were like doing like a oneer.
Like just this is like a long shot.
Absolutely.
I will say things today are shot very quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick.
Oh, yeah.
Man, talking about stuff not being shot quickly.
I watched, I was going to talk about an episode, but I watched episode one, the pilot of Miami Vice last night.
Oh, yeah.
Talk about a show that lets a scene breathe, man.
Isn't that where they drive around to in the air tonight or whatever?
That's going to be in part two.
Okay.
Part one, there's a fucking amazing scene, though, where.
Crockett chases tubs, Crockett's in a car and tubs in a boat.
That's pretty cool.
Look at, that's where I'm wearing the ring also.
See, this is why I didn't want to meet David Lynch.
On my cellular phone.
Her accent reminded me of Kira Sedgwick in the closer.
Dude, Nick Cage rocks in this movie.
Oh, he's off a blast.
What year did you guys get cell phones?
I guess you're young.
2003?
Yeah.
2000.
I didn't, I think
2010.
First till 99.
So this would have been like a year
before I owned a cell phone watching this.
What was your first phone?
I don't know.
I don't remember and I didn't want it.
I thought cell phones were stupid.
But Bernie insisted that I have one
for tele network because I was the scheduler.
So the company bought and paid for my cell phone.
Hey, all right.
Hey, you know what?
It's not a bad way to get it.
It was a little Nokia flip or something.
Oh, yeah.
I had a Nokia 3210.
Gary Sedanonez.
I think I had a...
I had an LG flip phone,
but it only had a mirror on the one side,
so when you flipped it,
you would see who was calling,
but it would answer automatically.
How many movies is Gary Snee's as a good human being?
He's always in a uniform, I feel like.
Yeah.
There's a lot of good work outside of film.
Yeah, I really like Gary's Hewis.
There's a lot for veterans and for cancer patients.
Oh, that's awesome.
Charlie Cut.
Oh.
Yep.
There he is.
There he is.
What do you think happens to him?
Alternate timeline.
Nick, keep watching.
Oh.
Oh.
Hey, it's the John Lernerner.
Oh, we should have been smoking cigars for this.
It's fucking Kevin McAllister's dad.
Yep.
Ha, ha, I'm having fun.
You don't want to see John McAllen?
heard in a very different role. Watch
Cutter's Way. He plays
like a one-arm Vietnam vet.
Oh, cool.
There's so many people in this
scene. There are so
many extras.
This is incredible.
Yeah, this is like five years before
they would have done this with CGI.
Yeah, look everyone in the background, pretending.
I'm sure they filmed on a live fight night, right?
They had to have.
Is
Nick K.
the best actor.
I mean,
has anybody ever committed to every role in the way that he does?
That really is how it feels where I would never say Nick Cage is like such a great actor,
but he's a guy who's like gone so around the world as like a bad actor that it's great
because he's so in it because he's deliberately choosing to do it.
And it's like, man, I don't, it's like layered in a way that you can't wrap your head around.
It's incredible.
And when it works, it's phenomenal.
It's incredible.
always, when it doesn't work, it's phenomenal.
Yep, yep.
It might be bad, but like, he's going to show up with something.
He's got that nice carpet bombing technique where, like, if you make enough films,
some of them will be good.
Kind of like what we did with Achievement Hunter, Gavin.
I wonder if it's weird if you're being an extra pretending to talk,
but one of the extras is like a main character.
That's what I was just thinking with the,
Kevin McAllister's dad in the background.
At what's like, is this the last time he did like essentially extra work?
I only want to become mayor of Atlantic City.
This is what a cocaine performance.
This rocks.
Brian De Palma might be like the greatest opening act of all time.
It shouldn't be doing a full show, but you bring him in for the first act of your movie.
Oh shit.
It's a great point.
You got to be fearless to be a guy like Nick Cage because not only is he acting like this,
he's acting like this in front of like 500 people right now.
That are just sitting there watching him.
In silence.
Yeah.
Pretending to speak.
Yeah.
Excuse me, man.
What the fuck do you think you're doing?
Oh, I thought it was gonna pop a finger down there.
Jesus.
She's gone.
Why didn't you pay attention?
Mr. Dunn.
The phone.
I love that phone so much.
This is a big moment.
My high is unobservant.
In the first round?
He had that.
Interesting decision to only show crowd and zero fight.
Oh, what's going on?
Do you think Brian De Palma got,
he got like bored making this movie like halfway through
because when this, when you keep watching this,
it like really falls off a cliff.
What the fuck?
Oh.
And there's our blood.
What happened?
Oh, oh, the blood!
Oh, she's hit!
Oh, shit, right in the throat.
Oh.
Oh.
Two shots.
Oh, no, her hair.
My wig.
Oh.
She can't see without her glasses.
Oh, no.
Hey, I'm wearing that.
It's got the blood on it.
Blood's on the shirt now.
What did you see?
Well, there was a blonde brunette lady.
Good God.
Oh, shit.
It fell through the M and the L.
Do you see that the blimp said Miller time?
Hell yeah.
That says,
Iller time.
Wow, what a giant setup this was.
Yep.
Yeah!
It's not a First Amendment guy.
Did you guys see Ted Turner died?
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's a celebrity we definitely didn't kill
because I had no fucking idea he was still alive.
Right.
I was so surprised to find out he died
because he wasn't already dead.
Grace under pressure.
Fuck y'all think you're gonna'all.
Josh Hart and no.
Does she run around with a bullet wound?
Wait a minute.
Now wait a second.
You're gonna be all right.
It's just your neck.
We'll get you a new one.
After this is over, I gotta get home to Chicago.
Off the deck.
Uh-oh.
Kevin Donn.
I got a kiss.
Yeah.
You know, if we got a couple,
more suits from this movie, we could recreate it.
Yeah.
You do?
Well, maybe not the secretary of whatever.
Everywhere I go, people get assassinated.
U.S. officials?
Yeah.
Pepsi light.
There's somebody
at a counter right now trying to argue
that their bet is still valid that they won.
He was down.
He was down.
It was at nine.
Easy.
Yeah.
There we go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What'll it be?
Kevin Dunn.
Pritzker.
Why would the FBI guy see this guy in this suit and go, that's the man.
I got a top.
Clearly, he's in charge.
Will you wear that to lunch today?
No.
What if it didn't have blood on it?
Yeah.
There you go.
That's the reason I don't want to wear it.
What about the blood?
What about just the jacket?
I think I always assumed when I was looking at the shirt that it was his blood on it
Oh, me too Gavin you fool I thought he got his ass kicked I was foolish
How the fuck did that not happen already just out of curiosity?
And I was the person who wins in a movie is always the one who yells the loudest
Oh, he's winning I wonder at what point was Kevin Dun kicked out of his suite
Is he still waiting that sweet light there's a sure there's been a mix up did he get a night at least
Yeah, he must have.
At least, I think two, I think too.
Do you think things were weird between Gary Seneese and Kevin Dunn the rest of the film?
No, I don't think, so I don't think Gary Sinise would have blamed him in any way.
Yeah, but he was in his room.
And then he had to leave.
And you know, if you're like, you're like Kevin Dunne.
I don't think about it from that aspect.
Say it's cool.
Just say it's no big deal.
I'll take this one.
I'll get a different one.
Let me stay there.
How often do you shoot the spaghetti, Gavin?
What do you say, your slow-mo?
Once a month.
once a month yeah
fair
you're a big
he's a big pasta guy
I like it
did this charge
my credit card
how much was it
four bucks
oh
well you're never getting that back
it's just one dollar each
yeah because I'll never write an expense report
for $4
was jazz hands in the script there
do you think
no
do you think the script had
jazz hands in brackets
above the dial
She's just walking around covered
It's like ditch the jack
Yeah there you go
Geez
In Atlantic City that probably is
One of the cleaner $100 bills
I'd assume
Set up
There was a guy trying to get
Another guy's attention to look at Carly Gugino
And he said no fucking way
So do I
We didn't see it
Yeah
There we go
But do but do
But do
But do
Did cartoon ums
Yeah, he did.
What does he see?
He just really hates him.
It's a fake.
He took a dive.
But why would you take?
It's a funny seeing Carla Kugino in this.
This is probably like two or three years before she makes spy kids.
And as a kid watching Spy Kids in my mind, it was like, yeah, she looks like a mom and then
looking at it now of like, she's so fucking young.
Yep.
I've never seen Spy Kids.
Is it any good?
I think you get nothing from it at this point in your life.
Yeah, probably not.
Is that the one where we get George Clooney doing a...
Yeah, he's an impression of Stallone?
Or is that, like, two or three?
It's in one of the sequels.
I don't think it's in the first.
Okay.
Carlige Gugino, born 1971.
She's older than I am.
Makes sense.
She doesn't look it.
She doesn't look older than Jeff.
Not in 1998, no.
So this was before she.
She was in Jet Lees the One.
Oh, this is definitely before she's in Jet Lees the One, which is also a movie.
We Should Watch.
Has a great Statham performance.
It's awesome.
Oh, yeah, Statham.
It's like, it's got those big, it's got the big rat balls in it.
Yeah, they blow up the rat balls.
Yep.
We have that ring.
I'm wearing it.
The audio in this is interesting.
Change his shirt.
So is that the end of the shirt for the whole movie?
Is he in clean shots?
He won't tell you.
I won't tell you.
Bad play.
This whole area looks like it belongs to
Chief Irons from Resident Evil, too.
Go see Devils.
Go see Devils.
They pay double for that.
Is he dead?
So is he dead or what?
Eric, remember Sonny Liston?
And you saw me, saw you?
we all saw
Ghost knocked me out
Gentle ghost
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
Some of the shirts
Tyler of the boxer
It'd be great if he was like
That's all I wanted
Thanks have a good day
Never shows up again
Easiest autograph ever
I think me and Carly Gugino
have the same haircut
Can you ask for that next time
You get a haircut?
Yeah yeah
I'll take it to my barber
Can you give me the 98 Gugino?
And then he'll go, bro, snake eyes?
And I'll go, oh, yeah.
That's me walking around the house.
Fucking glasses.
Do you think the director told her that they were going to like blue screen that into something cool?
It was just a blue pillar.
Excuse me.
Pardon me.
There's just a woman running around.
You're not explaining.
Brian De Palma went through a like fascination with first person perspective.
There's also some scenes in Mission Impossible like this.
Yeah.
And...
Oh, like with the glosses and stuff?
Yeah, like the opening of it.
Why is he has his gloves on?
A little glove peek, so we know who it is.
You're arguing how many nights it'll take
before the Kevin Dunn mistake has realized.
I haven't seen an ambulance yet.
Plenty of time.
Lock in for it.
It begins being very shy in this moment.
Not saying anything.
There he is.
Gavin, the suit's back.
Oh, yeah, it's back.
But now who are we?
So we snapped out of him?
Yeah.
Okay.
Now we're just us.
Dude's worth millions and he's worried about a hole in the wall.
I would definitely do that.
What a transition.
Back in the white shirt.
Oh shit.
He had a giant earpiece.
When did little headphone cables stop getting all intertwined like that?
Oh
My headphone cables
Intertwined all the time
I hate it
First person
Oh Piave again
Plain doom
Is so there some guy's arm
Just like
punching right beside the camera
God there's so many people
Give them a little something
Yeah
Oh those punches are so mad
I feel like those shorts a little high
even for boxing.
I think they're trying to emphasize the age.
You get the higher.
You wear your pants.
Oh.
Him talking about losing the heavyweight title of the world
and knowing how boxing works
and that there's like 15 heavyweight titles of the world.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It sucks.
You look so sad.
Nobody, none of the cameras filmed him
almost crying when he almost won the fight.
That's the
This guy sucks
You can see him touching the earpiece
Using dioptic lens
Oh my god
Crazy shot
Oh my god
Oh my god
Imagine
Open your eyes to that
Nick Cage
And covered in blood with a gun
She
She
I think any of those weapons on display
Behind them were ever used
In any context.
Yes.
That was a reasonable question.
It's like when I asked my kid a question and he's like, no!
Instead of just, no.
Oh my God, threatening letters.
Me and Nick look at each other.
Brian De Palma and George Lucas?
It's pretty crazy.
They just knew what they were talking about.
Ahead of their time, visionaries.
Unbelievable.
Or, or maybe just things don't change as often.
as we think they do.
What do you mean?
Trade routes.
And the other thing that just was mentioned.
You don't have 12 people?
Oh, geez, I don't know.
There's 12 whole doors.
We just decided to give up on security.
This is somewhere private.
What is it?
That's Nakatomi Plaza.
Places locked down like the White House Correspondents dinner.
Okay, what if we made a sequel to Die Hard?
but there's two towers.
Think about that.
It's called the two towers.
What if we just designed
our next office to be this building?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
This room or the building behind them?
Oh, okay.
Nakatomi Blasos.
No, we'll have a knock atomi room.
Uh-oh.
Like the dereliction of duty
and the court marshal
that you're already headed toward?
Oh, yeah, all the other stuff
he's trying to get you out of.
Space Force?
Evil white guys.
Missiles.
All right, we need some guys
that look like they work for the government.
You and you.
Explosives.
Gavin.
Yeah?
So she went to all this trouble,
but didn't actually have a ticket.
Yeah, that wasn't accurate
because we didn't see Gary Sidesa's finger
almost go down.
Right.
In this shot.
She's out of here slowly.
Also, he's not saying anything
as he's chasing her here.
Hey, you.
Hey, you.
See, now he says something.
Okay.
All right.
I left.
Yeah.
You know what?
I think maybe Gary Seneas
deserves to lose his job here.
I think that might
be an appropriate
court martial. Also, was he
100% on the guy being behind that?
Or was he like 95?
Yeah, 95. Just pull the trigger.
I'm sorry,
Mr. Secretary, I got a boner.
I got a boner.
I'm a man.
A boner.
Fired for a boner?
Maybe, maybe a different, maybe, maybe change your phrasing.
Bitch, dude.
Oh, Jeff, we should start saying bitching again.
Remember when everyone said bitching?
I've got a bitching technology.
Bid, bing, boom.
I follow Gary for a little bit.
He looks, he's got a dirty secret.
Yeah, he looks so severe.
Oh, no, he's going into the red room.
The authorized personnel only room?
Oh, Dutch Red Room.
Nothing good happens in the red room.
It'd be funny if he started laughing, maniacic.
And then he takes off his coat and removes a wig and he's the redhead all along.
Oh, shit.
Pops his tits out.
And the redhead takes off a mask and it's Kevin Dunn.
Finally, I can look at me.
My God.
I'd be like, with all due respect, sir, am I on a suicide mission?
Uh-oh.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, saw that coming.
I mean, you could have done it quick for the other guy.
You let him realize it.
He was pretty fucking slow on the uptake.
I've been shot.
Sir, I'm shot.
Sir, please.
I've been someone showing the guy.
Did you see him?
Did you see the gunman?
Did you get him?
But you didn't tell me there's another guy.
Look out.
Oh, it's this guy.
Yep.
That's the guy with this tummy problems.
It's the guy.
Yeah
Mark
Yeah
This was only like four years after that
So you know he's working
I can't believe how long he let that guy realize
What was happening
That was crazy
He didn't kill him in the fucking dumb that guy was
Wow that dude
A whole lot of that dude's in this film
Yeah
The definite that dude movie
Anyway there she is
He missed it
No
Just the no glasses thing is so
funny. What horse you like?
This is why I wear contacts.
Her other
senses have been enhanced.
She's like Daredevil. Yeah. This is me on the
break show trying to read a 1990 top
baseball coach.
Oh, it's this guy.
Craig from Malcolm the Middle. Yeah.
Is he in the revival?
Can you repeat
the question?
Yeah.
I'm a hot sleeper.
Death Star Schematics.
That was me watching Quark.
That's Andrew watching Cork.
I was much angry.
Ah, you didn't secure the infrareds.
I love watchalongs.
These are great.
I mean, you call it the fucking princess lounge.
Is that just big stacks of VCRs behind him?
Oh, probably.
You think they have any left that we can get?
Why don't it when you use the camera?
Okay.
There we go.
That's how he just.
He's playing the same character.
I'm knocking in the middle, huh?
What is this score?
Like, what, like this music got like,
lilty?
Yeah.
Like old mystery type movie.
Yeah.
Well, that lady appeared out of nowhere.
It disappeared again.
Vanished.
Never to be seen.
They're taking forever to go up.
They want to play slots.
A lot of good sounds in a casino.
You're gonna have a background.
God, this shot hurts my head.
Jesus.
I hate the cashier.
That was brutal, right, Gavin?
Yeah, yeah, it was very juddery.
Yeah.
To playing the Stott Trek next generation slots.
machine on the left side.
Come on, I want to play Frankenstein.
You're at the reboot.
No, you're at the next generation.
Go, Rick, go.
No, Kevin Dunn, no.
Change, falling into a cup.
I thought they were shooting so shallow
like her vision was bad, but now everything's...
Every shot is shallow.
I wonder if she steals his glasses.
Yeah
Interesting thing in movies
Everyone has the same prescription
Just press the button
Well
Yeah
She's gone for good now
Yeah, we can't get him
They over
God damn you
Such a big camera
A voice just comes in through the intercom
What floor did you push
Oh he's seeing the name
No
Ted Campbell
What does he squinting it
For doing your job
Yeah
That's how I feel whenever we do the podcast.
I thought we should end every podcast.
Guys, we're all geniuses.
I wonder what movie has the most whip pans like that.
This one's got to be up there.
Yeah.
I wonder what movie has the most blurry scenes.
This one's got to be up there.
Cloverfield.
Blair Witch.
He's moving like the coffin Terminator.
I was thinking that.
Yeah, Robert Patrick vibes.
Shoot him.
Pull the trigger.
Beephew.
You're going to be terrorists.
Oh.
Yeah, they hate in America.
Are we going over?
We're going over.
Oh.
You like that?
What?
There's a hurricane on.
Picks her up in slay and slay and wrestling style.
Isn't that how Ficus did it in Cork?
You ever fall asleep on top of the comforter on a hotel bed?
Gotta be drunk to do that.
I've done this way more.
Let's go see Devils!
Porn on the table next to the ruffles!
Sea Devils rule!
Is this like staying at a hotel during a convention?
You're trying to sleep?
I gotta say I really like this shot.
I want to see the Black Clyde version.
No, you don't.
You ever taking one to a hotel?
Never come to a hotel again.
I wonder how many hotels still have seashell sinks in them.
Atlantic City, still 90%.
Bus stop!
That was the other code word.
Code word for terrorism.
Break the pain at the bus stop.
I'll see you about this.
What?
Come on.
Come on, Navy, I'll show you.
Come on, random guy.
Let's see about this.
Wait, he had the card the whole time?
Yeah.
Yeah.
He had the coolest suit I've ever seen.
He kept talking about the sea devils.
I'm your cop?
A warrant.
It's just a bullet wound.
We have those in the other ones.
Yeah, we did, Nick.
They don't really appeal anymore.
Not the Reds.
You just said it.
Let me just send this to the head of the Department of Defense.
Anonymous.
Anonymous.
She looks like Ashley from Requiem.
With that hair.
Not Ashley, Grace.
What's her name?
Yeah, Grace.
Ashley's the other one.
She does look like.
She does look like Grace.
It's the hair.
Yeah, it's the hair.
Jeff, she had a wig like that.
Okay.
I'll do it.
Look.
Gavin, the suit.
I can't believe how much they filmed with all these extras.
Like, as soon as they were done with the scene,
they had to film it all again from like two more angles.
It's crazy.
It's crazy.
Like, it just must have taken so long,
and there's so many extras.
Yeah.
Yeah, like how many days did they film in here?
I'd love to see the shooting schedule for everything in the arena.
Oh, so she just happens to see all of this ahead.
What?
Yep.
Just right there.
No, bye.
Yeah.
I feel like she should be...
She should be telling it blurrier.
Where did those come from?
Remember Bluetooth like that?
People walk in with those on their ear in the bathroom.
You don't still do that?
No.
Do you?
No, I just...
I can imagine you doing that in 2026 for some reason.
Me? Why me?
Yeah, it seems like a Nick thing to do too.
You have to do.
You got what to do, you got kids, your hands full.
Oh, that's fair.
Every accusation is an admission.
Some of the stuff they were actually filming from two angles.
Yeah.
Your testicles.
Is that a bedbath and beyond bag?
Yeah.
Meatballs.
Meatballs.
The deluxe has meatballs.
Oh!
Charles Kirkland.
Oh.
right for him.
So I think he was 100% sure he was there.
Yeah, I've changed my answer.
Gavin, you fell for it the whole time.
I did.
Look at that. Look at the ring. He's wearing the ring.
I'm wearing that ring. It's a different ring.
It's just the same school.
Go see Devils.
Don't uncover the truth.
Jesus Christ.
Yeah, yes.
I mean, I would say, yeah, I would say that it feels more important now, actually.
They're willing to kill for it?
That's pretty important.
Mm-hmm.
Or one then the other.
They haven't even fired me yet.
I thought time was on my side.
It's movies deeper than I thought it would be, if I'm being totally honest, Eric.
It's layered.
Even, like, I don't love 90s movies.
Sure.
It's, like, so much budget going to question mark.
But, like, a bad movie from 98 is better than most movies I watch now.
And that sucks.
True.
It is true, man.
Fire you.
On some weird green screen or like that new.
That's a cool shot.
It's just everything's flat.
Everything's properly exposed.
There's no contrast.
Looks like a map painting.
You go back and watch older films.
I don't watch the stuff in the 70s.
And it's so fucking different.
Yeah.
I mean, stuff from the 90s too.
It feels vibrant.
Fucking that episode of Miami Vice was better than anything on television.
And it wasn't a great show.
It was a good show.
Wasn't a great show in 84.
Nothing compares to it in today.
Oh, you're going to fire me?
Well, I'm going to get murdered.
So take it that.
McAllister.
Kevin Dunn.
From small soldiers.
Is that Kevin Dunn?
Got his legs blown off in the Vietnam War
and still became a successful shrimp fishing.
The scene where
Kevin Dunn, the character,
talked to Kevin Dunn, the person?
you think it was the first time in film history
of fictional character talked to the real
named person?
The cool sheet typist must have been so confused.
Nightmare.
So who's on that day?
Kevin Dunn.
Ah, shit.
Is the Dunn at least spelled differently for the both?
I don't know.
I don't think so.
Oh, shit.
I think the actor is D-U-N-N.
Kevin McAllis' dad died pretty young, didn't he, in real life?
Yeah, he died a few years ago.
I didn't know that.
He died after Shark Nado.
Yeah.
He's been dead for a little bit.
He also wasn't fired.
He died in 2017.
Wow.
How old?
He was born in 46.
He died in 17.
Does that make him 71, I guess?
Not that young.
Yeah, I guess not ultrera.
But still pretty young.
Yeah.
Still younger than I'm sure he wanted to die.
Yeah.
I would say that's probably most people.
I think some people are pretty ready.
Yeah.
That's true.
Yeah, the teeter totter definitely goes the other way.
People will think it's fucking serious and I'll have to read a threat about it.
Oh, that's the building he wants to build?
His big idea is having a tall building in Atlantic City.
That's his goal.
During a hurricane tornado.
Tropical storm, Jeff.
Jeff, you fool.
Two have been an accident.
Oh, not.
Not what's his name?
Was it Craig?
Are you a stunt mission?
Pull up your acceptable loss list.
I want to see if I'm on it.
I don't think that was supposed to give like that.
He's just really strong.
Mad at you.
Where the hell are they?
Well, they keep with the lattice.
Oh, it's a ladder room.
The ladder room, yeah.
What the, what?
The bull fell off.
That's a shot of outside.
Uh-oh.
Did it blow off?
Oh, no.
millennium.
Kevin done.
The actor.
Was that in the jacket when we bought it?
Checking.
No.
And the badge definitely isn't either?
Damn.
It's convenient that they took the five grand out before they sent it down.
Okay.
Oh, my bad.
Okay.
Do you think he ever had a speaking role in a film again?
Oh, that's it.
Oh, when she started screaming, I thought,
she was killed.
It happened so fast
originally.
Yeah, I thought
a neck snapped originally or something.
That's what I thought.
The way her neck moved.
It's because she was holding the cell phone
on her shoulder.
Guys, you'd have to be more observant.
You've seen this.
I haven't.
Camera was off, though.
I wanted to buy those
one of those for us ones.
Camera blimp?
Yeah, like an indoor blimp.
Let's do it.
How did the guy only now say this?
It's been given for like three grand or something, I think.
Do you think the camera technology has improved, Jeff?
Since 1998?
Yeah.
I need to look at this part alone.
What's he going to do?
DeLeah afterwards.
Clear the room.
I got to jerk off to this.
The guy's just going to come in and look at it.
I can take it with them.
Doesn't want to see it.
Yeah.
There are so many VCRs in this movie that I wish we could have had access to one of them.
Oh my god.
Jesus Christ!
Wow, great timing.
You can't just wait around the corner.
Jesus Christ, man.
Oh, man, oh, God, oh man.
If you zoom it even further, it would show Gary Sanisse's ID.
Just counting on him to look the other way because they're buddies.
They both look so young.
I guess now we know how you afforded that big ass house in Illinois.
Right?
You cannot stop home alone.
3.
Maybe he wants a defense
system for his house because of the burglars.
We need a bowl room.
Which wing?
Chill out. I'll
pay for it. I'll pay for it. It's fine.
The lack of screen on that TV is...
Yeah. Dude, that's how TVs you still look.
Yeah, absolutely. I just... It's so funny to see.
You got to have the speakers there.
Yep. I'd go back to that.
98 if I could.
But not 77?
Or whatever?
Think about healthcare technology.
Yeah, it would just depend on, yeah, I wouldn't want to go too far back because I wouldn't
want to catch something.
I couldn't.
What's the point of being rich in 1975 if I have colon cancer and they can't fix it?
He's realizing in this moment that he has trapped her.
And if he dies here, that's it for her as well.
Well, until someone needs a ladder.
It's a shame nobody watches these watchalongs.
Pretty funny.
That was both funny and real.
And water,
everyone can hear you scream.
Jesus Christ.
10.
Yeah.
He was a what?
A what now?
He's in what administration?
He's a baby kisser.
I got the baby vote.
What, pay for baby kissing?
Yeah.
No, he's paying for that.
Do you know anyone who was kissed by a president?
No, but like,
kissed babies grew up to be.
Like, I shook Clinton's hand once, but he didn't kiss it.
Gavin, if we found out that like,
Alyssa was kissed by a president as a baby,
would that surprise you? It wouldn't surprise me.
Yeah, but which president do you think it would have been?
Have to be Clinton, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
Or maybe H.W.?
How old is she?
Well, does it count if it's post them being a president?
Yeah, like once a president, always a president.
Sure.
Yeah. Sure.
What president do you think kissed the most babies?
Jesus. This is...
I have an answer.
I don't know.
I don't know if I can say it.
You know.
You know, now that I think about it,
maybe it's good that nobody watches these watch them.
I feel pretty strong about my answer, too.
Oh, boy.
Oh, man.
Remember how good this movie was in the first 20 minutes?
It's still good
Awesome
I'm having a blast
It really slows down
You're right
It's a long 90
It's such a long 90
10 minutes to go right
Yeah there's probably only like
Another 15 minutes
Well that's the thing
These movies
Wrap up in the actual
Last 10 minutes and they end
They don't have like a epilogue bit
They just
They front loaded all the action
And saved the exposition
For the last act
I wonder if we should do
A longest short movies draft
Oh my god
I hit the erase button
Oh no.
That's not how that works.
Do you get to see on the playhead while you're using the Arraise Head?
Oh!
You think when Miller paid for advertising,
they knew that the assassin would stand in a Miller box.
The longest 90-minute movie,
Exit 8's on that list.
Yeah.
Are we watching this because you drafted this at one point, Eric?
Did I draft it for Best Movie?
It might have been an honorable mention.
Not maybe not best movie, like a villain death or something else.
No, I think it was the summer of 98 movie draft, right?
Yeah, I don't remember if I actually drafted it or if it was an honorable mention.
I can't remember.
I think it was, I don't know when we did the order it was in it was in there.
He's going to get a rematch.
I understand.
Oh, God.
I'll try.
The whole point is he supposed to talk.
Yeah.
I think you're going to kick his ass regardless.
no it was four
take that
Margatus
I'm guessing
in a neighborhood
or something
Jeff I assume
that's incredibly
disrespectful
I mean
it would be
if it wasn't
all stolen valor
anyway
wow the champ
couldn't even do that
yeah
I feel like I
kind of like a jar
he weakened him up
in my first watching
of this
checking how much time
was left
and there being like
eight minutes left
in the movie
at this point
and me going
how
what
what
Is he being unconscious?
Like a puppet.
That's his unconscious face.
Yeah, he's being unconscious.
I'd lost respect for the boxer before, but it's all gone now.
Yeah.
You can still win you back back.
When he punches this guy to death.
Let's go.
I get my gang and we're going to go.
She's still in here.
That's enough of that scene.
The end.
A weird fader.
P.O. First person.
So what it's like to be Nick Cage.
A declaration of independence.
That's a complicated and bloody way to remove a body.
Stop. Lower.
He's having fun.
Cam salad.
Fucking Kramered his way out of that door.
We should put a cream of the same
fucking suit.
My best friend, Jerry.
Oh, you can do that on a Game Boy?
It kicked my ass.
Did the suit have a tracking device on it when we got it?
I checked. It does not.
Maybe the touch's the clean.
Now, Gary's the niece is still tracking you.
No!
Kicks the door open.
Why did you have to?
Why couldn't you just take the money?
I'd gladly take the money.
Give me a million dollars, Gary Sinise.
What those buns doing?
Crash.
Catch Pokemon with?
He'd be a good zombie.
Yeah.
Pepsi.
Miller Light.
Mountain new.
I got it all.
I'm thirsty.
Why did it look like it was a K?
Cleaned up his bed was real nice.
Yeah
He's a spare suit
Someone's gonna get crushed by the ball
I hope so
They've certainly been implying that
This is the most 90 shot in the world
The set's too big
The lighting isn't great
It's okay
But it's so severe
And the lightning looks like shit
It's great
It's just so much money
In this one scene
More bodies to
Churn
What are we doing with them
They're cementing him I think
Or something
It's Jersey baby
Has anyone ever churned a body
to butter.
Lightly salted.
No one even had to do anything to him.
He just, man.
Has anyone ever
a body to butter?
Oh, the squishiness of the
doing the...
Whoa! Whoa!
Yeah, those rockets aren't very good.
Those missiles don't work.
It's the goofy as shit.
It's fun being in rain.
She should be loving this.
That's no.
Uh-oh.
You're not supposed to be out in it.
What?
You gotta get the shot.
She's getting how blind she is.
All right, she's still blind.
And her eyes are still an anamorphic.
It's really weird.
Jesus Christ.
I feel like he's been like this for 30 minutes.
It's a tough.
For having such a great first act,
the third act of his movie is also.
He took 11 bad punches.
She got shot in the,
Or she's not crying like this.
She can't see either.
She took a fucking bullet.
That were absolutely some days
where all Nick Cage did was limp around
covered in blood or then go home.
Yeah.
Exhausted, probably.
Yeah.
Gary Senise
isn't even like bothering to hide.
Oh my god, the ball.
Here she comes.
You'll die.
Why do you keep going, dude?
He's got a plan, Nick.
Yeah, he's got a plan, Nick.
Come on.
It's so long.
Just looks like shit.
That's the hardest shit to do.
Efforts.
What the hell is happening?
What the...
Jesus aspect.
Yeah!
He's gonna fucking shoot himself,
yeah, it sure is.
That was like when George Bush
tried to get out of that room.
What?
What?
This camera out of here.
It's a following his corpse.
San Chief.
Did you get the key to the sea?
There he is.
Oh no, just a plaque.
I wonder where that plaque is.
Looks like shit.
Look at my plan.
Oh, is that little Michael?
That's little Michael.
Yeah, you usually want to clear house after an assassination.
Uh-oh.
Oh no.
Got a new job
Well
It's the suit
He's back in the suit
You got too much attention
But he did the right thing
After doing the wrong thing for a long time
Yeah a lot of wrong
A lot of wrong
A whole bunch of wrong
He's like playing a different character now
Yeah
I'm surprised there's still movie
Yeah. It's pretty funny. He was going to jail.
I can stretch your guy having an espresso back there.
Oh wow. Look, yeah. A real tiny mug.
That's a tiny little mug.
Also, it's a mug. Like, he has a ceramic mug.
You know, it's him and his buckets and his ceramic mug.
Simpler times, man.
They did?
No.
Oh.
No way.
We got HD now.
Not with this cable.
Enough.
Five.
Is he really in this?
Is he older than that?
Or younger, do you think?
Oh, older.
In real life?
Old.
It has to be older.
He's got to be like 38 to 40, right?
He's just such a grown up.
It'd be weird if he was actually older than me.
Nick Cage, born in 64.
Wow.
Oh, so he was like...
He was lower.
So he's like 64 now, 62.
He was...
That's so insane.
This came out in 98.
She's 26 in this.
That's insane.
He looks like he's 15 years older than her.
Oh.
Anyway, when you get out in 10 to 15, give me a ring.
That's the worst silver lining in the world.
Everyone, get rid of your espresso mugs.
Back to work.
Back to whack.
So...
He says in that scene, I think of, like, I had a dream where I was in a tube with the, like, water filled.
And they have all those references to the storm.
There was a third act, giant action sequence in which the casino got flooded.
And the only part we get of that is the wave crashing.
And then they scrapped all of it.
Like, ILM was working on it.
So his character's referencing an event that happened technically in the story, but is not in the cut of the film.
Oh.
Oh, some Gooney style.
Yeah.
So, like, all of, like, the storm foreshadowing was supposed to lead to something,
but they just didn't end up filming it.
Do they...
Yeah, because they didn't...
There's nothing happens with the storm.
No.
It never pays off in any way.
No, it just is there.
And then he references a scene of, like, he almost drowned,
which does not happen even, like, come close to you in the film.
Why?
Why is this playing?
Like, what's happening?
Did they just tell these guys, hey, just pretend to be doing work here?
I think it's supposed to be a thing like, look, like the Millennium thing is like going to keep going forward.
They're still doing construction.
They're still building.
They're still filming.
Like, this costs money.
This costs money to do.
And they just got a dude in a fucking Green Bay Packers hat to show up with no safety vest.
We just need a body right here.
No hard hat.
The construction guys or?
Where's mug guy?
I want to see him again.
Like, I think it's the dude with the glasses right there.
Like, what's the point of this shot?
It's still happening.
It's still going.
I don't remember this part.
Is Nick Cage in his trailer now or is he watching this?
Oh, I hope he's watching.
This is crazy.
These are all actors.
Like, none of these are actually construction guys.
These are just actors.
And they're just doing this.
Why?
That guy just looked over like, are they still filming?
They're still doing this?
There's no way they haven't called fucking cut yet.
What's happening?
Lower.
What song is this?
Stop.
Gavin, what do you think of snake eyes?
I'm bloody, whether these guys have had more screen time than the guy that got shot.
Yeah, this guy the blue hat's doing a lot of work.
He's chewing up the scene.
It's fun to watch a film.
Oh, this is the ILM credit.
ILM, yep.
They're still moving this single person.
Peace.
Jeff, what do you think of Snigas?
I loved it.
That was great.
A lot of fun.
It's pretty easy, right?
I enjoyed it, and I'll absolutely never watch it again.
Yeah, absolutely.
No, 100%.
You nailed it.
I think it's like the third time I've seen it?
Yeah, the beginning is like awesome.
So good.
It's crazy.
It feels like a cocaine nightmare.
It is just like so frantic and so much is happening.
And it's loud the whole 30 minutes.
And then this feels like the next day where you're just going,
I don't know what's happening.
It feels like there's construction in my brain.
Oh, man.
It's loud everywhere.
This, what are they doing?
Oh, the bodies!
Oh, the bodies!
That's why they're zooming in on the concrete.
The bodies are in the concrete.
Oh, yeah.
We're so dumb.
Until they started zooming in like this, it never occurred to me.
It would have helped if they had like an eyeball or a fingernail sticking out
or something.
Oh yeah,
filmed,
oh, by the way,
filmed it
filmed at the Trump
Taj Mahal.
That's a shame.
There we go.
Oh, that's not subtle.
And nobody noticed that?
He had his hand on it.
It's huge.
Okay.
Well,
I'd like that we were only
slightly ahead of the shot
that was for the stupid audience.
Yes.
Yeah.
Whoa.
It's a magic stone.
Snake eyes.
Gary Seneese is alive.
Gary seems insane that they expected people to watch that whole sequence.
Yep.
All right, let's go ahead.
Well, there you go.
There's snake eyes.
It's been a long time coming, but we finally did it.
Don't auto play.
Don't auto play.
It's about to.
Oh, we're going to play ball.
Yeah.
Let's watch some balls up with Mark Wolberg.
Oh, man.
Well, there you have it.
Snake eyes.
I'm glad we did it.
We finally got to it.
We're the suit the whole time.
Feel really good about snake eyes.
A nice long night.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
First 30.
Really fast.
Real good.
Yep.
Well, there you have it.
Thanks for watching.
Let us know what we should do next.
Bye.
