We were traveling over the the weekend and I wasn't able to respond very quickly to all of the Olympics drama. So I know that you guys have heard from a lot of people and have listened to a lot of commentary about the Olympics, about the opening ceremonies so far. But I wanted to share my perspective because so many people have been asking me about it to share my thoughts on the symbolism and the overt messages, some of the hidden messages that seem to be trying to make a mockery of Christianity. And so I'm kind of glad that I wasn't able to respond right away
Starting point is 00:05:00 because it has allowed me some space and some time to really think about it and to hear all the different sides of it. And I feel like the story has changed so much over the past few days. So I feel like I do have a full picture now. If you don't know what I'm talking about, let me give you a little summary. So the 2024 Summer Olympics, it's hosted in Paris, France. They held their opening ceremony last Friday. It included the traditional Olympic torch relay, the parade of athletes from around the world. However, Paris organizers made a sharp turn from tradition, stirred significant controversy when they included three French drag queens in the traditional torch relay and featured an even more overt drag queen fashion show that many saw as a mockery of Christianity.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Also, I just wanted to do. note this quickly. We don't really have time to analyze Snoop Dog, but Snoop Dog was also one of the people carrying the Olympic torch, and he did so, you'll see the picture if you're watching on YouTube, he did so wearing a Baphomet necklace. This is a pagan god more recently adopted as a symbol for the satanic temple. It has long been a symbol of Satanism, and it is really dissoned. disturbing to see this display, to see this made into some kind of golden image, golden idol that Snoop Dog is wearing around his neck. I'm very just disturbed by the public acceptance of Snoop Dog, considering some of the things that he's done and said over the years. You might remember a few
Starting point is 00:06:39 years ago, he threatened Gayle King, like Gayle King was interviewing Lisa Leslie, the famous WMBA player and started questioning her about Kobe Bryant's reputation and some of the sexual assault charges against him. This was after Kobe Bryant died. And Snoop Dog made this video saying, Gail King, like, you're way out of pocket. What are you doing? And then saying, you better stop before we come get you. So that's scary. And then you'll probably remember a few years before that, he made the music video where he depicted himself murdering Donald Trump, murdering a sitting president. And we've decided that this person needs to be a mascot for the United States. He needs to carry the torch for America.
Starting point is 00:07:28 He needs to be accepted by polite society. It just goes to show, again, the double standards are insane for someone who I think represents, or at least the mainstream thinks he represents, like an acceptable form of secular progressivism. Now, I'm not saying he has some outspoken progressive social justice advocate, but he is certainly a man of the secular left, at least as far as cultural and moral values go. And that is why he is able to be hoisted up as some kind of American hero, despite his very recent, sorted past in very disturbing comments. So that's just one part of it. Let's get into this Drag Queen Last Supper that was on display that understandably made a lot of people frustrated. Let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor before we get into that.
Starting point is 00:08:24 It's Carly Jean, Los Angeles. You guys know how much I love CJLA, how much I have loved CJLA. It's almost the only thing that I wear. Everything from there is so flattering, so comfortable. I can wear it in every season of life, every season of the year. I love that CJLA is run by an unapologetically Christian company. They love the Lord. They run by Christian family. family rather. They love the Lord. They share the same values that you and I do. And I love that about them. Plus, they just make really great products. We've got a new deal for you today. A new deal that is amazing. So my favorite thing to buy, my favorite thing to get from Carly Jean Los Angeles is their denim. I just love their jeans so much because they're so comfortable. They are so flattering.
Starting point is 00:09:14 So they are giving you a buy one, get one free deal for their jeans, which is just absolutely amazing. So if you use the code Ali's free jeans, you get your first two pairs of CJLE jeans for the price of one. So if you've never bought your jeans from CJLA, use code Allie's free jeans at Carly Jean-Loss Angeles.com and you will get two pairs of jeans for the price of one. Carlyjean, Los Angeles.com, code Allie's Free Jeans. So the Associated Press called this Drag Queen Last Supper, an unprecedented display of inclusivity. The ceremony featured drag queens in a fashion runway segment, a rave, and what looked like a mockery of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper.
Starting point is 00:10:20 So the drag queens, the other performers were seated in a configuration reminiscent of Jesus and his apostles. And so you can see this picture right now. If you're just listening to this and maybe somehow you haven't seen this image, we've got, I think, a woman in the middle. And she's got like this halo type situation on. And then surrounding her, at what looks like a long table are a bunch of drag queens and presumably homosexual men. And they are dressed in very kind of ridiculous, colorful costumes. It looks pretty chaotic. She's flinked by these people. And then later there appeared a nearly naked man painted in all blue.
Starting point is 00:11:10 This was a portrayal of Dionysus, the god of winemaking, vegetation. fertility, ecstasy on a dinner plate, okay, on a dinner plate surrounded by food. We should have a picture of that. So let's put that up. And he sang a song called New in You, which means naked in French. So just weird and gross. And obviously people were understandably offended by a mockery of the Last Supper, which is a real event that happened before Jesus' death on a cross and his resurrection. And it is a very sacred, it's a sacred portrayal, the Last Supper depiction, the Last Supper painting because of what it represents. Of course, the painting itself doesn't hold power. It was created by, a, you know, a fallible human being. And so it's not that we are saying that this symbol or this
Starting point is 00:12:17 image of the Last Supper is in and of itself holy or has divine power, but because of what it represents and the significance that the event itself, the biblical story has within Christianity, making a mockery of that through this grotesque display is, of course, offensive. to a degree. And there's been a lot of back and forth about whether or not this was really a depiction of the Last Supper. There were a lot of people who said, oh my gosh, Christians, you just need to get over it. This had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. This was a depiction of a pagan celebration connected to the gods of Olympus. This did not. have to do with, this did not have to do with Christianity. Y'all are so easily offended.
Starting point is 00:13:15 You've got a persecution complex and you really just need to get over it. Well, here's my thing about that. Here's my thing about that is that even if that were the case, and as we are about to get into, it's actually not the case, even if that were the case, this is still a, celebration of paganism. This is still a celebration of the subversion of the natural and the good and the beautiful. Any time you are going to display men dressed up as women, any time that you are going to glorify licentiousness, any time that you are going to elevate and glorify paganism. And they admit this, that this was supposed to be a, celebration of promiscuity and indulgence and gluttony, any time you elevate those things,
Starting point is 00:14:19 you are going to understandably receive criticism because those things are bad and ugly. You are promoting ugliness. You are promoting disorder. You are promoting sin. You are promoting a kind of decadence and amorality that has. has led to the downfall of many societies before us and is currently leading to the decay and the destruction of the West today. And so it was actually very fitting if it had been a moment of self-reflection and self-awareness and self-criticism for France to be upholding this pagan
Starting point is 00:15:02 worship session as kind of a form of self-flagellation to say, you know, you. yeah, this is who we are. We have completely indulged ourselves in gluttony and decadence and luxury that we are actually just about to cease to exist as a functional country and society. That would be one thing. But I don't see any kind of self-awareness happening here. It is completely unironic. They are unabashedly promoting the subversion of gender and gender roles and morality, and order, and they think it's a good thing. They actually think it's a display of inclusivity, as they said. So there were many Christians who spoke out against this, for example, Candice Cameron Bure, whose husband is a two-time Olympic medalist. She posted this on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:16:00 She said, to see the opening ceremonies completely blaspheme and mock the Christian faith with their interpretation of the Last Supper was disgusting. It made me so sad. And someone said, you shouldn't be sad. You should be mad about it. And she said, I'm like, trust me. It makes me mad, but I'm more sad because I'm sad for the souls, which I completely agree with that. Governor DeSantis at a Hope Florida event, he said, this Olympics opening ceremony, I don't get offended, but I was just sad seeing this. That was really a symbol of the decline of Western civilization. Completely agree. He said, I don't think they're going to do anything where they mock Islam. President Trump on the Ingram Engel on Fox News Monday night said, I thought that the opening ceremony was a disgrace
Starting point is 00:16:39 actually. I'm very open-minded, but I thought that what they did was a disgrace. I completely agree with all of these sentiments, but what Ron DeSantis said that this is a symbol of the decline of the West is absolutely true. I also said the same thing about Islam on X because the defenders of this opening ceremony were saying, oh, no, this is about pride, this is about tolerance, this is about inclusivity. And I'm like, look, your country has literally been colonized by Islamic extremists. It's not even France anymore. It looks more like Pakistan than it does France. I will believe you that you really are brave champions of tolerance and inclusion when you make fun of the least tolerant religion that exists, the one that currently dominates your country, and that is radical Islam.
Starting point is 00:17:31 And some people responded to me saying, oh, Charlie Hebdo wasn't that long ago. Yeah, exactly. and people have been killed, terrorized, beheaded because of what that publication said in mockery and criticism of Islam. And I would say that most of France now has learned their lesson. And they know
Starting point is 00:17:51 that they are not going to criticize Islam. Because they're going to get killed for it because that's what Islam is and does. Christians are not going to do that. Because Christians actually uphold these values of love and forgiveness and grace and because our first reaction, which I think it should be, is not anger necessarily,
Starting point is 00:18:13 although that's there when we see something like this, but sadness. And we are not going to exact revenge using violence, but through prayer, we are going to pray for the salvation and the repentance of these people. Now, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't boldly speak out against it. That doesn't mean we shouldn't do everything that we should to change the culture. and even change politics so that this kind of stuff is just not palatable to most of the public, is just not accepted by most of the public and actually become so scandalous and so hated that people will not display this kind of blasphemy, but we don't exact revenge through beheading and terrorism and violence.
Starting point is 00:19:01 And that is exactly why. That's one of the reasons why Christianity is sort of. scorned so much. And it's also because Christianity is true. Christianity is true. Christianity is real. Jesus is real and non-believers have always hated the truth of the gospel. It is a very offensive gospel. It's amazing news for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see, but it is offensive to say that Jesus is God and only through that reality, can he be what he says that he is in John 146, that he is the way, the truth, the life, that no one comes to the father except through him, that the gate is narrow that leads to life
Starting point is 00:19:48 and wide that leads to death, and it is only by grace through faith in Christ, that we can enter the narrow gate. That is very offensive. That's very offensive. What sets Christianity apart is that unlike every other faith, we are not told how to get to God, how to climb up the mountain by being good. we are told that you cannot do anything. You were actually dead in your sin, and God had to come down the mountain and rescue you
Starting point is 00:20:14 and bring you back to life through his sacrifice, his death and resurrection, that there is nothing that we can contribute to our salvation because Jesus did it all for us. Christianity is different. Christianity is true. Therefore, Christianity is the threat to secularism, to progressivism, to tyranny, to all the things that France and all of these decadent and decaying societies stand for, to the elites here in the United States, to the global elite institutions. Christianity has always been a boil on the back of the pagans and of the tyrants, and we still are today. That is why we are
Starting point is 00:20:53 mocked. I don't think it's wrong to be offended. I don't think it's wrong to be mad. I think that when Jesus is mocked that we should feel defensive in a sense. We should feel sad. We should feel frustrated. We should feel just absolutely disappointed about where society has gone, how far the West has fallen, which was forged by, like, unequivocally by the doctrines explicitly of Christianity, not any other faith. We should be sad about all of that, but I am not sure that we should be so all up in our fields. I'm not sure that we should be seething in anger. I'm not sure as I saw some silly people say on X that, oh, Christians, you must learn to hate. You must learn to just violently fight back. you must become more like Islam. I'm sorry. Like become Muslim if that's what you, if that's what you feel.
Starting point is 00:22:02 That's, I mean, that's not Christianity. That's, that is not Christianity. That's not what gospel bearers are like. Yes, we can hate blasphemy. We can hate idolatry. But encouraging Christians to become more vengeful is anti-gospel and anti-Christian. There's a way to change culture, to change politics, to push back against blasphemy without that kind of fomenting outrage that mimics actually secular progressives and Muslims and people of other faiths. Now, as I said, there were people who said, you know, this is not even, this is not even the Last Supper. And not. Well, actually, they admitted, the organizers admitted that it was, in a way, mimicking the Mimicking the Last Supper. This is a response from the Olympics organizers, according to the New York Times. They actually kind of apologized. This is from the spokesperson of Paris 2024 and I think it's DeComp. Is that how I would
Starting point is 00:23:14 pronounce her last name? DeComp. She apologized. if people have taken any offense. So that's like saying, sorry that you feel that way. She said, clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group.
Starting point is 00:23:27 On the contrary, I think that the artistic director, Thomas Jalvi, really tried to celebrate community tolerance. We believe this ambition was achieved. I mean, Progressives always think that making fun of Christianity,
Starting point is 00:23:37 degrading Christianity is tolerant. Everyone gets a benefit of tolerance, even literal terrorists, except for Christians. So in a same at up By the rap, producer said for the festivity segment, Thomas Jolly took inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting. Hey, this is Steve Day.
Starting point is 00:23:56 If you're listening to Allie, you already understand that the biggest issues facing our country aren't just political. They're moral, spiritual, and rooted in what we believe is true about God, humanity, and reality itself. On the Steve Day show, we take the news of the day and tested against first principles, faith, truth, and objective reality. We don't just chase narratives and we don't offer false comfort. We ask the hard questions and follow the answers wherever they leave, even when
Starting point is 00:24:18 It's unpopular. This is a show for people who want honesty over hype and clarity over chaos. If you're looking for commentary grounded in conviction and unwilling to lie to you about where we are or where we're headed, you can watch this D-Day show right here on Blaze TV or listen wherever you get podcasts. I hope you'll join us. Of The Last Supper to create the setting. Jolly is not the first artist to make a reference to what is a world famous work of art. The idea was to have a pagan celebration connected to the gods of Olympus. I wouldn't you would never find in me a desire to mock and denigrate anyone art historian sasha grishan of australian national university told the new york times the idea that the central figure with a halo and a group of followers on either side it's so typical of the last upper iconography that to read it any other way might be a little foolhardy did you hear that of course like this has just been a campaigning gaslighting by people on the left saying this is not or even though we saw some people on the right oh there's always those like people on the secular right who try to be they just at the end of the day they have more in common with the secular left than they do Christian conservatives and they're always looking for a reason to punch at Christian conservatives even though we are always right about where the direction of the country is going so you should start listening to us anyway um it obviously is
Starting point is 00:25:41 it's so obviously the last supper now again that doesn't mean that I think that we should be just like overwhelmingly outraged or even surprised by this. I think we just say, I think we can just acknowledge the reality though. Yeah. Christianity is the recipient of so much scorn and so much mockery, even though Christianity has been the greatest force for good and humanitarianism in all of human existence. and it is not even close. And the reason why the powers of darkness are against it is again because it is true.
Starting point is 00:26:21 And the powers of darkness, Satan, his minions, they hate God. They hate God. They hate Christians. They hate Christianity. They hate all of humanity. They hate image barriers of God, which is exactly why they want to make Christianity look evil and silly and small. Because they don't want people to know the good news of the gospel.
Starting point is 00:26:41 But this is an opportunity. This is an opportunity, not for us to just show anger, but to share the gospel because God will not be mocked. The word of God will not return void. So God can actually use this ridiculous display to draw people toward himself because there are people out there who are saying, okay, I'm not Christian, but I didn't like this. This looks dark to me. This looks wrong to me. This looks ridiculous to me. What is the Last Supper? I think a lot of people don't even know what the Last Supper is. And truly this Thomas Jolly person, he probably didn't think he was didn't grade in anyone because mocking Christianity is just so commonplace. It's just so commonplace
Starting point is 00:27:17 that he didn't even think about it. It's so accepted in Hollywood in the mainstream. You can't make fun of any other kind of belief system except for Christianity and things adjacent to Christianity. And so I'm sure he didn't even, I'm sure he did not even think about it. All right. I've got a little bit more to say about all of this. Let me pause and tell you about our second sponsor. that is seven weeks coffee. Seven weeks coffee is America's pro-life coffee company. They are on a mission to fund the pro-life movement one coffee cup at a time. They are just amazing. We love seven weeks coffee. They have actually raised over $500,000 to pro-life organizations and to pregnancy centers. They have been able to provide 5,000 medical ultrasounds to women considering abortion and save 5,000 lives
Starting point is 00:28:08 praise God. That's because they donate 10% of every sale of their coffee to pro-life organizations to these pregnancy centers. And so by buying seven weeks coffee, which is like the highest quality coffee, best tasting coffee out there, I think you are supporting women. You are saving live. So why not? Starting point is 00:28:53 Okay, free. As someone who used to live in France, I saw you posting a lot about this over the weekend on Instagram, like, what was your take? What was your take on the opening ceremony? What was your take on the reaction to it? Yeah. I think my initial, what I saw on Twitter at first was a lot of people like calling for the destruction of France because of this, which I thought was so silly because one, it's like a committee that put this together, not like the government of France. I'm sure they had some input in it.
Starting point is 00:29:29 I mean, Macron seemed to defend it, right? I'm sure. Yeah. I'm sure some of the government probably thought it was fabulous. but it's not like the country itself that created this. So I just thought that was kind of a silly argument. But I also just know knowing people there that there were so many French people who also thought it was just as absurd, who probably thought it was insulting to their culture because
Starting point is 00:29:54 they could have highlighted so many things about France and French culture and French history and art. And they chose to do this instead. And so I know firsthand people who were offended by it, not even because of the Christian side of it, but because it was just kind of insulting to their culture and to what it could have been. And I saw someone post on Twitter that, like, they had the recipe for the perfect opening ceremony being in Paris. And they did this instead. So I just thought that that was silly. And I agree they never, ever would have done anything like this with Islam.
Starting point is 00:30:30 So what is the religious climate over there? I know that people who are who identifies Christians there are typically Catholic and then obviously there's a lot of Muslim people there now. What is that atmosphere like? Yeah. France is pretty much completely spiritually dead. It is an unreached country. A lot of Americans don't know that because they think of it as the West. But yeah, it's it's totally spiritually dead. dead and it's becoming more and more so the more Islam infiltrates its borders. But yeah, even the, I mean, it's a very, it's a secular country, secularity, is that a word? Secularism. Secularism is ingrained in all their public institutions. It's mandatory. And so, yeah, when a lot of French people think of Christianity, they immediately think of Catholicism. When I was there and told people that I was Protestant, they were like, I've never met one of those before. So, yeah, it's very, it's just, it's not a common thing at all there. Yeah, that's so interesting that they just kind of leaned into like the paganism, the secularism, the promiscuity, the decadence that France has become.
Starting point is 00:31:48 And it's interesting that they see, maybe not has become, it's been like that for a long time. But it's interesting that they see secularism as the thing that is going to like hold the line against Islam. Yeah. And you see kind of that battling itself out right now with some of their laws of like you can't have any expression of religion in public schools, for example, and that would also eliminate women or girls from wearing hijabs. And so you're seeing a lot of like the Muslims coming in and they're upset with these laws in public institutions. And so that's a huge disagreement right now about how to lead France, I guess. Right. And I think that they require starting at three years old for every child to start attending school. And obviously their education is very secular. And I remember reading at the time that that was to try to kind of stave off the Islamification because they want to get these kids, these even Muslim kids in school and get the Islam out of their minds as fast as possible. I mean, I can't imagine. imagine that that is going to go over very well for very long. No, it's not. And it also just doesn't work. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Just doesn't work. Well, secularism is powerless to fight against another faith. And so it's really sad. It's sad to kind of see where France is fallen. I mean, I've been to Paris before, and I would love to go back. But I don't know. I don't know if it's an over-exaggeration, some of the reports that I've seen, some of the things that I'm seeing on X, but I've just seen how it's kind of devolved. It looks like a lot of the cities are dirty and in chaos, and it makes me not want to go. Yeah, I will say a lot of that is exaggerated. I mean, unless that's happened in the past two years that I have not been there. But when I was there, I would see reports from the media all the time about how there were these dangerous protests. I would get e-mails.
Starting point is 00:33:56 from the U.S. government about dangerous protests. And it was like on a couple streets in the middle of the city. And you wouldn't know otherwise. So I think it is exaggerated. But yeah, it's getting worse for sure. Yeah. For sure, especially after this recent election. There were a few more nods to drag queens.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Also, there was a what's called a bearded lady. I assume that it's a man. On a catwalk during the opening ceremony, this is Saut. to. Okay, weird. Again, like, I always say this about progressives when they do things like this. Like, you could just not. You could just not do that. Like, things during Pride Month after BLM, like all these organizations and companies, talking about their newfound progressive values and just saying absurd and untrue things. And I'm like, okay, you don't have to have some kind of statement of supporting Christianity or conservatism, but you could just not do that. You could have just
Starting point is 00:35:11 not had that. And then there was a drag queen rave. Saw three. Okay, there were children and that. So that's, that's disturbing. I just don't understand what this has to do with the Olympics. Is it always like this? I don't think so. I mean, I think there's probably always like a couple weird things maybe, but no, not like this. Also, they've not been in countries like this recently. Yeah, that's true. I don't think. that we would have seen something like this in Beijing. Yeah. Isn't it in L.A. in 2028?
Starting point is 00:36:08 Yeah, that's going to get real weird. Yeah, Gavin's already saying, hold my beer. They're already thinking of how we can out freak show France. That's hard to do. But California has been trying to do that for a while. If anyone can do it, they can. Oh, yeah. We've got, I mean, maybe the greatest weirdos in the world.
Starting point is 00:36:27 And then I'm sure just like Belgium is like, okay, they're just, they're just waiting Germany. You got so many freaks over there. They're just, they cannot wait. They cannot wait until it is their turn to show the world how freaky they are. So, yeah, this is what we've got in the Olympics. Now, a lot of people are saying that they're boycotting the Olympics, that they're not watching because of that, which I totally get. You know, like I support a good boycott. And I want you to do what you are convicted to do.
Starting point is 00:36:57 and represents your values. I have not shopped at Target for a couple of years after they started selling compression tops and packing underwear advertised for kids. But that's just me. I don't boycott everything. And I have never said that you have to boycott Target or else you're not a good Christian or a good conservative. I have never shamed anyone for continuing to shop at Target or for supporting other things.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I'm sure that there are companies that I support and that I buy from. do not align with my values. We've cut that down a lot over the past few years as this parallel economy has grown, which I absolutely love. But yeah, there are still things that we do in places that we go that, you know, aren't 100% supportive of Christian values for sure. But some of you boycott other things and not others, and we don't all have to boycott the same things.
Starting point is 00:37:50 I think we just like do what we can. For the Olympics. Am I boycotting the Olympics over this? I am not. I have watched a few things. There are a few people that I'm watching and I've watched some gymnastics and I've watched some swimming. I might watch a couple other things tonight. I'm not like a big Olympics person. I didn't even know what was happening this year until like a couple weeks ago. There are some great Christian athletes out there who obviously had absolutely nothing to do with the opening ceremony or not supportive. of it at all, don't have those values. And I did not watch the opening ceremony live, so maybe that was me doing my part. But I do want to watch some of those athletes. But I'm not watching with kids because I feel like even watching the events, you just
Starting point is 00:38:41 never know what's going to come up. And so if you're boycotting, you're not watching, you know, with your kids. I totally understand that. Yeah, I also think it's weird. Like I've started to think this year, like why the women in some sports have to wear the things that they do and why the men in some sports have to wear get to wear the things that they do. I'm like, why can't the female gymnast wear those little footy pajama pants? I don't, I don't get that. And I don't know why the men do have to wear those pants. Like, and why can't,
Starting point is 00:39:13 like, why do the female runners have to, like, be wearing, like, cheeky underwear when they're running? I thought that about beach volleyball, too, because in the past I've seen them wear tiny bikinis. But actually, I caught one of their, I don't know, qualifier games or something. And they were just wearing leggings this time. So maybe some of that's changing. Yes, it was. Okay. They must have different outfits because when I was watching or I just, I don't even
Starting point is 00:39:41 think I was watching. I just saw there were the Americans versus, I don't know, another country. But the other country was wearing leggings or they were wearing like longer shorts or something. And then ours were wearing like, I just can't even imagine how this is comfortable in everyday life even. But like the lowest cut and the smallest bottoms like that you could possibly wear. I mean, you be lunging, you be squatting, you be running. Like what in the world? I know. I just I don't understand like the disparity there and the runners. I've never understood
Starting point is 00:40:20 how they can wear underwear like that. I know. I just. I just. I just. I don't understand. The disparity there. And the runners, I've never understood how they can wear underwear. like that. I just don't understand. And like, I mean, I'm sure that their thighs don't touch, but it just seems like the chafing would be such a problem. It would be problematic, I know. Yeah, that would be so uncomfortable. They probably don't even know what chafing is because they are so muscular.
Starting point is 00:40:42 But anyway, that's another thing. That might be another reason why you can't watch it because you don't want to see everyone's booty. And that is understandable. That is understandable. All right, let's move on. Oh, gosh, we've got more. I forgot, we've got more. Let's talk about the, okay, let's talk about the pale horse really fast.
Starting point is 00:41:01 I forgot. We've got more symbolism to cover on the Olympics thing. We're going a little longer than we originally did, or we originally thought that we would on this, but there's a lot to cover. Okay, so there was also in the opening ceremony, this pale horse and rider that people said looked like the description of the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
Starting point is 00:41:23 pale writer in Revelation, whose name is death. So this is Revelation 6-8, and you can see this picture up there if you are watching on YouTube, and it's kind of chilling. So Revelation 6-8, and I looked and behold a pale horse, and its writer's name was death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth. And here is an ex-account, their commentary. I don't know this person, by the way. But they said, if you have any doubt what is going on at the Olympics opening, a single rider on a pale horse is straight out of the book of Revelation and several other people were pointing this out as well. I mean, I don't know. I don't know if that was their
Starting point is 00:42:10 intention. If they are that biblically literate, I don't know what else it could have been. Now, they say, they say from the Olympics website description that this is on to chat. 10, which is Solidarity. It's an officer on a metal horse wearing a cape with the Olympic rings, rides along the parade route down the river sign. Sign? Is that how you say it? Sin. Yep. Okay. Thanks, my French friend. So, I don't know. Maybe it's just a coincidence, and maybe they don't even know. I do think a lot of these people are just so biblically ignorant that they're not even sure. But this is also their... reason why biblical literacy is so important because the Bible is the most, whether you believe
Starting point is 00:43:00 it is the word of God or not, it is the most formative and significant, impactful, and influential book in all of human history. There is so much objective, historical and literary significance in the Bible, which is why it needs to be taught in schools. It doesn't have to be taught in public schools as the inerrant word of God, but it needs to be taught. People need to know what it says. People need to know its stories. It's parables. It's principles. The general gist of God's eternal plan of redemption that you could even say the writers of the Bible explain. Like that is so important for us understanding world history. It's so important for us understanding most of literature, like especially the classics. It's so important for us knowing the history of the West,
Starting point is 00:43:51 specifically the foundation of America. And so it could be that they just didn't even know that these symbols were biblical. There's also a lot of hypocrisy happening at the Olympics. Earlier this month, the Olympic Committee denied a request by Israeli athletes to wear yellow ribbons advocating for the return of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. However, the Olympic Committee granted their request of Palestinian athletes to wear shirts that depicted bombs falling from airplanes, We've got full screen three to show that this is a Palestinian athlete. And he's got his shirt there with bombs from Israel, apparently bombing Palestine. Like this just blows my mind, Bree, whenever I see stuff like this.
Starting point is 00:44:37 I'm like, wait, do we not remember what started this? Do you not remember October 7th? When they parasailed, paraglided, sometimes I forget the difference between the two, paraglided. They didn't come in on boats. They paragliding into the music celebration in Israel, and they raped and murdered a bunch of young people, okay? Surprise attack, sucker punch by Hamas into Israel. They went from house to house, torturing, raping, kidnapping, and murdering people. That's what started this latest conflict, okay that's what started this and so we're again we're just so not just lopsided but
Starting point is 00:45:27 backwards it's just absolutely incredible were you surprised when you saw this i mean yes and no i was surprised about the yellow ribbon thing i get if they want to eliminate all talk of politics and war and whatever if the olympics wants to do that fine but yeah the hypocrisy here is pretty crazy. They can't wear yellow ribbons, really, but he can wear bombs on his shirt. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah. I mean, there are literal hostages. That's an objective fact. It's not like it's their interpretation of events or their subjective opinion. Or that they're calling for violence. It's the opposite, actually. Oh, no. I want to bring a child home who is literally kidnapped by Hamas. It's crazy. So Team USA is doing pretty well. We've got three gold medals, so far. We've got three gold medals,
Starting point is 00:46:18 I think that puts us in like sixth overall. Do we know who's number one right now? Yeah, number one is it China? Is it China? Japan. And then China. Really? I haven't, I don't even think I've seen Japan. What have they even won? That's a good question, actually. I didn't, I've seen China win quite a few. The artistic gymnastics meant men's. Artistic gymnastics. That's happening right now, actually. I didn't know that. Does that involve ribbons? Uh, yes. Oh, yeah, it does. And then like judo, things like that. So probably a lot of the more obscure stuff. Okay, interesting. There you have it.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Well, USA, USA. I'm very competitive person and I like chairing for my country, even if my country is silly, as we will get into in just a second. Let me tell you about our third sponsor. It's WeHeart Nutrition. This is the best place to get women's vitamins for women of all ages. Y'all, I don't know if you can see. I've showed you this a few times. You see how long my natural nails are?
Starting point is 00:47:17 These are my natural nails. I cannot tell you the last time that I have been able to grow. my nails this long. Also, my hair is feeling very healthy, very full. I really do attribute this to we heart nutrition. I started taking their supplements earlier in the year. It's been such a game changer for my skin, my hair, my nails, and even my immune system. I take their postnatal vitamin. I take their omega-3s. I take their iron supplement, their magnesium. I take all of these every day to try to stay as healthy as possible. I have to have as much energy as I can. First being a wife and mom, my first job, and then also trying to bring this to you. It takes a lot.
Starting point is 00:47:58 And so I can't be messing with low vitamin D levels or low iron levels. I have got to be in tip-top shape, and WeHeart Nutrition helps me do that. This is a Christian conservative family-run company. All of their ingredients are top-notch. They come in the most bioavailable form. When you go to WeHeartnutrition.com and use code Allie, you'll get 20% off your order. Weheartnutrition.com code atly. All right, white women for Harris. Did y'all watch that, um, Bo Burnham? Like, he's a comedian. This is the only thing I've ever watched from him, but he did this, uh, he did this like special a few years ago. I feel like it was during COVID and he had this song called White Woman, a white woman's Instagram.
Starting point is 00:48:56 It's a funny song. You should go listen to it. I won't sing you the whole thing. I'll spare you that. But his description of the white woman of Instagram reminds me a lot of this white women for Kamala Harris Coalition that has come together that makes my skin crawl. Like, it's for these women.
Starting point is 00:49:18 And because of these women that I wrote this book a few years ago, and I'm not just saying this to Hawk my book. It's, I mean, because most of you out there, I think I've already read it at this point, but my, you're not enough and that's okay, the escaping the toxic culture of self-love. Like the reason that we have to go through culture and politics in a book, like with this title and description, is because they are so intertwined. This self-love, self-empowerment, self-help, self-selt of self-affirmation,
Starting point is 00:49:46 culture, trend that these women are a part of. It comes, it goes hand in hand with progress. and progressive politics because progressivism is the worship of the God of self over the God of Scripture. So all of these things flow from one another. It's also what I call trendy narcissism. And people like Glennon Doyle and Rachel Hollis and Gin Hatmaker and Bray Brown are some of the biggest influencers in this world. And so it's not surprising at all that someone like Glennon Doyle is a key figure in this white women for Harris Coalition, group movement. So let me tell you what I'm talking about. Last Thursday, 164,000 white women
Starting point is 00:50:31 broke the world record for the largest Zoom call, which is like not surprising at all that so many women would want to come together and talk about how amazing and valiant they are in saving democracy from the mean orange fascist. So it was titled, White Women Answered. the call was it was to unite white women in support of presidential candidate Kamala Harris. And so they had to have a segregated Zoom call, a racially segregated Zoom call to support Kamala Harris. The meetingly, jokingly called Karen's for Kamala, which is kind of perfect, even though I think Karen's in general get a bad rap. All of you Karen's out there, I know that you're lovely people. featured multiple celebrity guests like U.S. women's soccer star, Megan Rapino, musician, pink,
Starting point is 00:51:31 actress Connie Britton, coach Taylor's wife, your major disappointment to me. Although you were, you were also this in Friday Night Lights. Like, let's not forget that she was this pro-choice advocate in Friday Night Lights, too. So this is just also who she is, IRL, unfortunately. And then we've got the queen of the cult of self-affirmation, and that is Glennon Doyle. We've got Shannon Watts, the founder of gun control advocacy group, Mom's Demand Action. I think she blocked me on Twitter in, like, 2016. So we go way back. She organized Thursday's record-breaking meeting following a similar meeting of Black women last
Starting point is 00:52:11 Sunday and Black men on Monday. Two days prior to the event, she posted on X, stating, time to organize a white women conference call like the Black women. and men have to support, and men have to, oh, black women and men have to support Vice President Kamala Harris. Who's in? The event raised over $1.8 million for the DNC on Thursday evening. Feminist outlet the 19th reported that by Friday afternoon nearly $7 million more had been raised. I mean, you just, you do have to, I mean, pat them on the back in their own way for that. Actress Connie Britton described the moment that Biden stepped down at the Democratic nominee a seismic, cosmic even.
Starting point is 00:52:52 And since then, have you seen it? Have you seen Kamala glisten in the brilliance and shine of her true power and leadership? And what does that feel like that feels like self-love? What? What? It feels like self-love? Yeah, it does. It actually does. It feels a lot like self-idolatry. Feels a lot like self-worship. And let's not like people are just so taken over by their emotions and the media and social media, they're so powerful. And to the progressives credit, like, they leverage these things really effectively. The story of Kamala Harris, after she became nominee, has been, like the storytelling of her, of her being this energetic rising star who is likable and kind and warm and here too in a very friendly but no nonsense way,
Starting point is 00:53:47 save democracy has been really amazing to watch because if you know actually who she is, like she was an absolutely ruthless prosecutor and Attorney General of California who used so much of her time and resources to go after pregnancy centers, to go after pro-life journalists, because she is rabidly pro-abortion. She is the most, and this is not just me subjectively saying that, and I'm saying objectively by her vote, the most, she was the most liberal, the far left a senator in the Senate when she was there, she voted for every pro-abortion piece of legislation, voted against every even remotely pro-life piece of legislation, even the Born Alive Survivors Protection Act, which just said, hey, you got to provide health care
Starting point is 00:54:35 to a baby who survives abortion is outside of the womb. You got to help them if they survive. If they're dying, struggling to breathe on the table, you got to help them. And Kamala Harris said, no, she doesn't want to do that. She is rabidly bloodthirsty pro-abortion. She is a very cold and calculating and cruel person. People who have worked with Kamala Harris says that she is a nightmare to work with. She is completely unrelenting but also absurd and nonsensical in her demands. And so that's who Kamala Harris is.
Starting point is 00:55:10 You saw her interaction with Drew Barrymore the other day. How ridiculous that was. like she doesn't like to be touched. She is a very cold and calloused and bloodthirsty person. And yet the media and these white women for Kamala have made her seem so warm and friendly. It's really amazing. It's really amazing. Glennon Doyle said, we have to step up and out and into the gap between democracy and fascism.
Starting point is 00:55:37 We were among women when she, that win the election is won. They can say we were among the women who finally united and we saved the G. world. How's America doing? Like, how are we doing on the world stage? Like, you guys know nothing. Okay, one of the lesser known speakers was social media influencer Ariel Fodor, Fodor, who goes by the name Mrs. Frazzled on social media. She's got 1.1 million followers on TikTok. She was introduced saying that she was going to gentle parent us through the election. You know that's perfect because gentle parents. leads to children that operate through temper tantrum and constantly demanding that there wants
Starting point is 00:56:23 be met in that moment. And if that's not white women from Kamala, I don't know what is. Here's stop for. If you find yourself talking over or speaking for BIPAC individuals or God forbid correcting them, just take a beat. And instead we can put our listening ears on. So do learn from and amplify the voices of those who have been historically marginalized and use the privilege you have in order to push for systemic change. As white people, we have a lot to learn and unlearn. So do check your blind spots. Does anyone like to be talked to like that? Like if you enjoy being patronized and infantilized in that way, you got issues, girl. You got issues. You got issues.
Starting point is 00:57:15 And I'm not going to tell you to go to therapy. You probably actually need to go to therapy a lot less. That is probably what has conditioned you to being talked to like that, that you enjoy being belittled and treated like a little toddler. That's a problem. You're grown a adult. Okay, you are a woman. You can make your own choices. You can have your own criticisms. You can have your own thoughts. Okay. You don't have to be infantilized like that. And I know something that Mrs. Frazzled does it is that she violated the laws of white allyship. Did you know Mrs.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Frazzled that you are not supposed to say Bipoc, that Bipoc is only supposed to be a written acronym. And when you are saying, you actually have to say black indigenous people of color. Did you know that? You have to say, you've to say, you've got to say, you've to say out the acronym. And so you, miss ma'am, you are still all in your white fragility. You just need to be coached by people like me who actually know the language and the rhetoric even better than you do. And by the way, what you just saw, like, that is life in these circles. It's misery. It is. It is. It's self-flagellation for the sake of self-righteousness. It's like the more buzzwords you can use to denounce your privilege and decenter yourself ironically. The more privileges in limelight.
Starting point is 00:58:30 you can earn. And I would also like to point out that this language that you just heard there is indistinguishable from the language that we even hear in professing Christian circles in these racial reconciliation groups that tell white women and white people, like you can't criticize a black person, you can't push back against them, you can't disagree with them. You just have to, in empathy, listen and learn and just affirm everything they're saying, even if it's not biblical or true. It's dangerous. It's toxic, y'all. It's toxic. It's why I called, you know, wrote a book called toxic empathy. It's not out yet. But that's part of what I'm writing to here. Look, they're going to try to try to empathy shame you and manipulate you, Christian woman.
Starting point is 00:59:12 You cannot vote for Kamala Harris and be in accordance with the doctrines of Christianity. It's just, I'm not saying that Trump is perfect by any means at all. I've never said that or that Republicans are perfect, but they are both imperfect because they are too pro-choice. They are too pro-abortion. They are not strong enough on marriage. They are not strong enough on the kind of human sexuality that actually leads to societal flourishing. Neither of them are strong enough, but the left and Democrats are far, far worse. Kamala Harris is very cruel, very calculating, very cold, again, very bloodthirsty, the most pro-abortion politician we've ever had. She will be a disaster and cause so much disorder and chaos and lawlessness at the border and communities
Starting point is 01:00:01 on the world stage. And yeah, there's going to be a lot of women in your life who want to join this white women for Harris Coalition. And you, Christian woman, no matter what color you're on, you got to be equipped. You got to stand apart. You got to stand strong. You got to know your stuff. All right. It's all we've got time for today. And let's see. Did I get through? No, I got one more. I got one more sponsor for you and then we'll be out. Okay. In the wake of Hurricane Barrel, over 2 million people were left without power in Texas during the summer with its intense heat and humidity.
Starting point is 01:00:32 Texans are preparing themselves for the severe thunderstorms and power outages. With weather like that, it can be difficult to get to pharmacies and doctors wherever you live, whatever natural disaster you might be dealing with or a potential natural disaster you might be facing. You need to make sure that you and your family have medication that you can rely on that you don't have to go to the pharmacy for. So you need to go to Jacemedical.com. You need to get their Jace case. It's filled with antibiotics for the most common infections.
Starting point is 01:00:58 You can add on things like Ivermectin, an EpiPen. And you can also get a Jace Daily case. That's the prescriptions that you and your family rely on on a daily basis. Your long supply of those should you ever need them. Go to Jacemedical.com. You can use code Allie at checkout. That's jacemmedical.com code Allie. The world be crazy, y'all.
Starting point is 01:01:20 It's crazy. But listen, as Christianity gets pushed more and more to the margins. As the darkness gets more powerful, the light shines brighter. We become even bolder. We take even greater refuge in Christ, in our community, in the church, in the unchanging and infallible word of God. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. His eternal plan of redemption is always going off without a hitch. And our responsibility is to do the next right thing in faith with excellence and for the glory of God. Speak the truth in love. Act out the truth in love. Disciple, children, make the world around you more beautiful and better. And in the end, God's victory is sure.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And remember, God will not be mocked. Let me end with this little quote by C.S. Lewis that I love C.S. Lewis and I just found this powerful. This is in the weight of glory. It would seem that our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us like an ignorant child. who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. The good news is, as Psalm 16 tells us, at God's right hand, Jesus's right hand is pleasure forever more. All right, we'll be back here tomorrow. Hey, this is Steve Day. If you're listening to Allie, you already understand that the biggest
Starting point is 01:02:57 issues facing our country aren't just political. They're moral, spiritual, and rooted in what we believe is true about God, humanity, and reality itself. On the Steve Day show, we take the news of the day and tested against first principles, faith, truth, and objective reality. We don't just chase narratives and we don't offer false comfort. We ask the hard questions and follow the answers wherever they leave, even when it's unpopular. This is a show for people who want honesty over hype and clarity over chaos. If you're looking for commentary grounded in conviction and unwilling to lie to you about where we are or where we're headed, you can watch this Steve Day show right here on Blaze TV or listen wherever you get podcasts.
Starting point is 01:03:31 I hope you'll join us.
