Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey - Ep 1110 | SCOTUS Hears Puberty Blockers Case, 'Dear Santa' Celebrates Satan

Episode Date: December 5, 2024

Today, we're discussing the Supreme Court hearing in the U.S. v. Skrmetti case over Tennessee SB1 restricting puberty blockers, hormones, and surgery for minors for reasons attributed to gender "tra...nsition." We give you all the information you need about the bill itself and yesterday's arguments before the Court. Justice Sotomayor hilariously compared prescribing children puberty blockers to simply taking aspirin, while Justice Alito thankfully pushed back against the arguments from the ACLU's "transgender" lawyer. Also, as we head into the Christmas season, a new holiday film titled "Dear Santa" is coming to a theater near you starring Jack Black as ... Satan? That's fellowship homelones.com slash alley, term supply, see site for details, fellowship home loans, mortgage lending by the book, nationwide mortgage bankers, DBA Fellowship Home Loans, Equal Housing Lender, NMLS, number 819382. Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in U.S. versus Scrimetti, a case that centers on children's rights to be protected against the predation of so-called gender-affirming care. We will be analyzing this case in some of the arguments today. We will also be looking at a new movie called Dear Santa, starring Jack Black, that seems to glorify children communicating. with Satan. And I wanted to get to the Daystar scandal more of it today because I have received your messages asking for clarification and more details. We will get to that next week. We didn't
Starting point is 00:01:46 have time today, but I did hear you and we've got more headed your way. Today's episode is brought to you by crowdhealth. Go to join crowdhealth.com. Use code alia check out that's join crowdhealth.com code alley. Hey guys, welcome to Relatable. Happy Thursday. Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. Chief Relatorbrough and I took a quick trip to Palm Beach and we had the honor of going to Mar-a-Lago.
Starting point is 00:02:23 This was not a Trump event, but it was at Trump's residence. It was a wonderful event for Prager You and we were so happy to be able to attend, to be invited to go. And we got to hear Glenn Back speak. He gave an amazing speech and showed people some of his incredible historical artifacts that really just give a lot of meaning to the founding of the United States. And so it was a wonderful time and it was great to just be able to celebrate the good turn it seems like the country is taking. And this was the highlight of the night. Here's that one.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Oh, I was so glad to be able to catch that on camera. It was really funny. He came out and he gave a brief speech. He was gracious to do so. Of course, he didn't have to. And he kept it concise. I was very impressed by that. And then as the music was playing, Trump gave us his little Trump dance. And yes, that is Lee Greenwood right there, also doing the Trump dance alongside Glenn Beck. I was glad to have a front row seat for that. I have never actually met the president in person. I didn't get to meet him that night either. He didn't mingle, which is understandable. They were all. lot of people there. I've met him, I guess, over the phone when he generously came on relatable a couple years ago, but I've never had the opportunity to meet him in person. But I hope I get to do so. The next couple months, starting in January, are going to be so fast-paced and interesting as we get to watch the Senate confirmations. We've got the inauguration. As always, there's going to be so much to talk about. But before we get into the crazy new, that is going to be nonstop starting in January. I did want to give us some more lighthearted content.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And so I just filmed a hospitality hosting cooking centered special that is going to be available only to Blaze TV subscribers. It's kind of the theology of hospitality. I am talking to my friend Abby Kirkendahl. She wrote an amazing cookbook called The Living Table and she talks about hosting and hospitality in every stage of life, whether you are single, whether you're in college, whether you are a busy mom of five kids or an empty naster. The call that we have to hospitality, generosity, bringing people into community and fellowship by hosting them, it doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be Martha Stewart level cooking or decorating. It just has to be welcoming, inviting. And it was a really beautiful time that we had together. You guys are going to absolutely love
Starting point is 00:05:22 this special episode. It's only available to Blaze TV subscribers. You can go to blazTV.com slash Alley. That's where you can subscribe. I think you can use a code. It's not on this. maybe Allie 10 for 10% off. If there's a higher discount, we'll put it in the description of this episode. But you don't just get access to that. You get access to all kinds of subscriber exclusive content, not just from me, because we've got a few things that are behind the paywall, but also from every other host on Blaze TV's network.
Starting point is 00:05:58 And it's really important to have subscribers because we just never know what's going to happen on YouTube or, any of these other tech platforms that are just so censorious and seem to be very flippant and sometimes arbitrary and what they decide to censor and whom they decide to de-platform. So that keeps us safe from the sensors. And it's a way for you to share the arrows with us as well. So go and subscribe, blazTV.com slash alley. That will be out on December 9th. Super excited about that. Let me see. Do I have any other announcements? We still do have a merch sale going on.
Starting point is 00:06:39 You can go to Alleymerch.com. I think Allie 30 gets you 30% off if I remember correctly. Nope. That was just that one day, Bree says. It is not available anymore. But you can still go to Alleymerch.com and use code Allie 10 and get 10% off. I thought it was all week this week. That's what I thought.
Starting point is 00:07:01 It was just Cyber Monday snooze you lose. Sorry. but related bros out there or related gals out there get something for the relatable significant other in your life all right we've got a lot to get into today so let's go ahead let's go ahead and start i really want to talk about united states versus scrimetti um and the case that is being heard right now at the supreme court if you have not listened to or watched yesterday's episode with whistleblower Jamie Reed, the account that she has of what went on at the gender clinic where she worked in St. Louis is absolutely chilling. If you have people in your life who do not
Starting point is 00:07:45 understand what is going on to children in the name of so-called transgender care or gender affirming care, you have to watch or listen to yesterday's episode and send it to everyone in your life. They need to know the reality of what is being done to children. And that is at the center of this Supreme Court case. So we're going to break it down. Arguments were heard yesterday. That was the first day. This will continue. We won't know the conclusion for some time. But it's really important that we're paying attention to this and that we are praying about this. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. And gosh, did we not see that manifest itself? in the election of Donald Trump. And that has an effect in every other area of governance too. We cannot
Starting point is 00:08:40 control what God decides to do, but he does command us to pray and he works through our prayers to accomplish his will. Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments and the most anticipated case of the term U.S. v. Scrametti, a case that could determine the future of experimental, so-called gender affirming care in the United States, particularly for children. So here's some background on that. In 2023, Tennessee passed SB1, a bipartisan law that protects children by restricting access to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery to minors for reasons attributed to gender. The ACLU, the American Civil Liberties Union, which used to actually care about civil liberties like the First and Second Amendment, but now everything must submit to radical progressive ideology.
Starting point is 00:09:35 That is really what they're fighting for, not the civil rights of Americans. So the ACLU filed a lawsuit against Tennessee on behalf of two parents of a trans-identifying girl, along with two other anonymous young people seeking to force the state to allow these harmful procedures. Later in the process, the Justice Department, so Joe Biden's administration, jumped in to argue on behalf of the families. Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Scrimetti, who is in charge of defending the state's laws, is named as the defendant. So that's where you get the name, U.S. v. Scrametti.
Starting point is 00:10:13 The case made its way through the federal court system to the Supreme Court, where attorneys from the Tennessee Attorney General Scrimetti's office defended their state's law. So we'll give you more details about this background in just a second. let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day, and that is Every Life. Every Life is the only Christian pro-life diaper company, which is kind of crazy. You want all diaper companies to be pro-life. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Some of these bigger, cleaner brands are actually very dirty in the sense that they are using your money to fund abortion causes and to fund pro-abortion politicians.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I don't know about you, but I don't want to buy diapers from someone. who doesn't believe that the babies inside them had the right to live when they were inside the womb. And so that's why I love supporting every life, not only because they're unapologetically pro-life. They donate their money to pro-life causes and pregnancy centers. They provide free resources to pregnant moms and need. They make sure that all of their pregnant and adopting employees are fully taking care of and can be with their families as much as possible. But also, they have have great products. We love their diapers. Those are the only diapers that we use in our home and they really work. You don't have to worry about leaks, but you can also trust that they're
Starting point is 00:11:38 really clean ingredients. If you go to EveryLife.com, use code Alley 10 for a 10% discount on your first order. Everylife.com code All right. Let's look at the timeline a little bit. So the Supreme Court heard almost two and a half hours of debate and oral arguments yesterday on Wednesday. There's only one day of oral arguments, and then from there, the justices deliberate to vote and write their opinions. A decision in the case is expected by this summer. Okay, so this takes a long time. They've got a lot of cases to listen to, and then they come out with their written decision. You'll remember all of that when they were hearing the Dobbs case a few years ago, and it wasn't supposed to be until June, but then the decision was leaked. It's crazy that we still don't know who leaked the Dobbs decision, by the way, and endangered the lives of the conservative justices. But maybe one day that will be revealed to us. Maybe the Trump administration can get to the bottom of that. So that will be revealed next summer. The court's decision in this case will affect not only Tennessee, but the entire country. Currently 25 other states have enacted similar laws that protect children from this court's. quote unquote gender affirming care since 2021. Before we get into the explanation of what the law is, what is actually being defended and argued on each side,
Starting point is 00:13:15 I do want to point out how difficult it is for the average person to learn about this case and to learn about this subject. Now, you and I have been talking about this for several years. We know all of the tricks. We know the arguments. We know the euphemisms. You've probably read toxic empathy. So if you didn't know before, you do now that the words that they use do not mean what they actually mean. They start with this circular, nonsensical, propagandistic mantra. Transwomen are women. And as Matt Walsh proved to us, they can't actually define woman. And so the motto is actually means. They can't even define what it means to be a trans woman because they can't define what a woman is. And so they start with an axiom that makes no sense because their entire movement is based on a lie. This lie that gender and sex are separate, that you might be born with certain biology, but that's really arbitrary.
Starting point is 00:14:27 It's really meaningless. Who you really are is how you feel. on the outside. The sex that you have was just assigned to you at birth. They made an observation, the doctors of your genitalia, and said, yeah, that looks like a boy. That looks like a girl. But really, you didn't know who you really are until you were maybe a little bit older and you had this sense of self. And that sense of self is your true identity. And you must bend external reality to conform to your inner identity. Now, most people who purport this ideology do not realize the roots of their belief system. It really goes back to paganism,
Starting point is 00:15:17 Gnosticism, dualism. Nancy Piercy writes about this so poignantly and love thy body. This idea that body and spirit are separate and that your body is actually subservient. to your spirit, your spirit being your true authentic self, your body just kind of being arbitrary. But what she argues is so important that, no, our bodies have a tell loss. We have to have a teleological view of the world, which means we view the world through the lens of purpose. We understand that a bird's wings have a special purpose, that a bird cannot be an elephant, that an elephant cannot be a squirrel. You actually judge what something is by their body and what it does. We believe in a God who made us and made the world with order
Starting point is 00:16:08 and intention, that when he made us male and female, he wasn't talking about only our biology and he wasn't talking about an inner sense of self. He was talking about who we are biologically and in the fullness of our identity. And the Christian worldview believes that the body matters. We don't believe that the physical is irrelevant or insignificant or arbitrary. We actually have a very high view of the body. We have such a high view of the body that we believe that we were made in the image of God. We see the importance of the body in God's creation of male and female, his designation of male and female, the creation of marriage, the direction to be fruitful and to multiply, between one man and one woman.
Starting point is 00:17:02 We see the significance of the body in that we worship an Emmanuel, a God with us, a God incarnate, who became flesh and dwelt among us. We see the significance of the body in Christian theology when we are told there will one day be a resurrection of the bodies, that we will one day be given new bodies. We care so much about the body. In fact, a Christian believes that the body for the believer is a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. You hear that phrase a lot. It's a biblical phrase that the body is a temple.
Starting point is 00:17:40 It's a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Therefore, what we do to the body matters. And while we as Christians do not abide by the ancient laws of Israel, we can take the principles that we see there and see how much God cares about what is put on the body, what is put in the body, that part of our sacredness is how we treat the body. We believe that the body has dignity. We believe that how we are treated and what we do to our own bodies, to each other's bodies, matters a lot, especially when it comes to children. Children who cognitively simply cannot consent, their frontal lobe is not fully developed,
Starting point is 00:18:27 means they can't even see the consequences long-term of their actions. They are uniquely vulnerable. And that is why children in ancient times in pagan Greece and Rome were objectified. They were used as sex slaves as cheap labor. They were often aborted. Infanticide through exposure was widespread in this culture. And it was Christians who changed the game there. It was Christians who said, No, we worship a God who came to earth as an embryo who was heralded by the kicks of an unborn John the Baptist, who was worshipped as an infant in a manger by the angels and the shepherds and the wise men who said, as a teacher, let the little children come to me for such as these belong the kingdom of heaven. We worship a God who says that he stands up on behalf of the fatherless of the vulnerable child.
Starting point is 00:19:26 of the orphan. And so Christians changed the world. We have always been protecting children from the slaughter. Everywhere Christians have gone, we have said, the pagan child sacrifice will end now. The butchering of children, the objectification of children will end now. So that is, I just want to give you the backdrop of the Christian perspective on the body on on gender. Genesis 1.27 is super clear on this and our responsibility to advocate on behalf of truth and to pray for what is going on here. The other side of this issue, there's no nuance, there's no gray. It is evil. It is evil and Tennessee not only has the right but is right and righteous to have a law like SB1 that protects children from the predation of profit-minded doctors who want to butcher their body,
Starting point is 00:20:32 stop their puberty, put them on cross-sex hormones for money and for power, for political expedience. So here is the language in Tennessee SB1 that the Biden administration, is suing them over. Again, how can a Christian vote Democrat? A health care provider shall not knowingly perform or offer to perform on a minor or administer or offer to administer to a minor, a medical procedure if the performance of the administration of the procedure is for the purpose of A, enabling a minor to identify with or live as a purported identity inconsistent with the minor sex, or be treating purported discomfort or distress from a discordance between the minor sex and asserted identity.
Starting point is 00:21:19 The bill also notes that it is not a violation of this bill if a health care provider knowingly performs or offers to perform a medical procedure to a minor if the performance where administration of the medical procedure is to treat a minor's congenital defect, precocious puberty, disease, or physical injury. So sometimes there are cross-ex hormones or puberty blockers that are used until not to try to get them to look like the opposite sex, but because they have other kinds of medical diagnoses that actually can be helped or healed or mitigated in some way by these medications. They're saying, that's fine. You can't give these things to a healthy
Starting point is 00:21:59 child just because they say that they are the opposite sex. The Biden administration, however, and the ACLU have argued that the law violates the Constitution's guarantee of equal protection in the 14th Amendment and should be examined. with the higher degree of legal scrutiny required by such cases. US Solicitor General Elizabeth Prologar. I'm not actually sure exactly how to pronounce that. Brie will correct me eventually, if I'm wrong. Representing the Biden administration emphasized that SB1 singles out gender dysphoria
Starting point is 00:22:33 as the sole basis to ban access to puberty blockers in hormone therapy because young people who are not transgender identifying can still have access to those drugs for other medical purposes. They argued that because the law prohibits access to drugs only when used in a manner that is inconsistent with the sex that a young person was assigned at birth, the law draws a line based on sex. So that is what they are arguing, that this is discrimination based on sex because of the purpose that a young person would have in taking one of these medications is to try to present as the opposite sex. And because it, like, their sex is significant in that.
Starting point is 00:23:27 And this is part of the argument that actually the U.S. is, is making here saying that you are, like if a boy walks in and he says, I want to be placed on estrogen. and you told that boy no. But a girl walks in and says, I want to be placed on estrogen and say it was for some other, like totally legitimate reason or what the like doctor would say is a legitimate reason, a non-gender dysphoria reason. You would say yes to the girl.
Starting point is 00:23:59 You would say no to the boy. The U.S. is arguing that would be discrimination based on sex, which violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. So because the Biden admin argues this is discrimination based on sex, they believe that the court must use a higher level of scrutiny, which would require Tennessee to prove they have a compelling interest behind the challenged policy and that the law is narrowly tailored to achieve its results. Now on the other side, Scrimetti and Tennessee argued that it is simply exercising its power
Starting point is 00:24:35 to regulate the practice of medicine for all youth. is not distinguishing based on a patient's sex, but it is based on the so-called discrimination is actually based on what the medicine is being used for. Matthew Rice, Tennessee Solicitor General, argued that the application of SB1 turns entirely on medical purpose rather than drawing lines based on the sex of the patient. In an interview with the Daily Signal, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Scrimetti said, the fundamental question of the Supreme Court case is, does the mere fact that hormones affect kids differently mean that any regulation of hormones for kids is going to be a constitutional issue? There is a lot in this that we will not get to today. There is a lot of legalese. There are a lot of details that we will need to have an expert on in the coming weeks to really break down for us. We might be able to do that or maybe we'll wait until. the decision actually comes down. We can have our friends from ADF, perhaps, break this down for us.
Starting point is 00:25:45 So I'm trying to give you as much of a layman's interpretation as I possibly can just to try to get our heads around it. And I'll continue to give you a little more commentary about this from people who have more experience and expertise in just a second. But let me pause and tell you about our second sponsor. And that is America's Christian Credit Union. So they're actually in a partnership right now with my last sponsor, Every Life. They are partnering to sponsor diapers for new moms who are choosing life. So ACCU will donate a box of Every Life diapers to a Christian pregnancy resource center for every new member who opens a checking account before January 31st. This is a monumental moment to come together and fight for the unborn. So join these two incredible
Starting point is 00:26:30 organizations in that effort by switching where you bank. We're worried about debanking, these financial institutions that now think that they can just cut you off because they don't like your beliefs or maybe they don't like the gun that you just bought. You don't have to worry about that with ACCU. They are on your side and they make switching really easy. All the details are available at America's ChristianCCU.com slash alley. Use code Allie for a $100 bonus added to your new account. America's Christian Credit Union is federally insured by the NCUA.
Starting point is 00:27:08 In an article for World Magazine, Daniel Arcer, he's an attorney. He was a senior advisor for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. He kind of breaks down what the arguments were yesterday. Liberal justice Elena Kagan told the Tennessee side that the medical purpose claim is a dodge when the purpose of SB1 is to ban treating quote unquote gender dysphoria, which she said is utterly and entirely about sex. Justice Katanji Brown Jackson. She's always got a lot, lot, lot to say. I don't know if you've seen that graphic going around. The graph that shows like how many words in the last session each justice said in Katanji Brown Jackson, it was like tens of thousands of words more than any of the other justices. She says a lot. She doesn't really bring a lot of
Starting point is 00:28:01 substance to what she says. But she said that she compared Tennessee's ban on child transition surgeries to Virginia's ban on interracial marriage, which was struck down by the Supreme Court in 1967. She claims they are similar because Virginia law determined one's marriage eligibility on race, while the Tennessee law determines one's eligibility for puberty blockers on one's sex that is assigned at birth. Again, Tennessee is saying, no, it's, it's, it's because of what it's for that we are allowing discrimination. You can't use these so-called, or these medications, these puberty blockers cross-sex hormones just to get someone to try to identify as the opposite sex. Now, unfortunately, hospitals get around these kinds of laws when we talked to
Starting point is 00:28:50 Vanessa Sivage. She worked at Texas Children's in Houston, where it is also illegal to allow these kind of things for kids. But if a doctor is willing to say that it's actually for another reason, like precocious puberty, then unfortunately they can get around that. It's really evil. And obviously, like the whole thing is here is that this is all based on a lie. It's based on a lie that you can switch genders. You can't. And it is bad for you to try. Justice Sotomayor, another liberal justice like in the irreparable harm experienced by children from so-called gender treatments to the risk of any medical treatment, even aspirin. So she said that a child not going through puberty is the same thing as a child taking an aspirin.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Here's not to. Cannot eliminate the risk of detransitioners. So it becomes a pure exercise of weighing benefits versus risk. And the question of how many minors have to have their bodies irreparably harmed for unproven benefits is one that is best left. I'm sorry, counselor. Every medical treatment has a risk, even taking aspirin. There is always going to be a percentage of the population under any medical treatment that's going to suffer a harm. My gosh.
Starting point is 00:30:15 And what he said there is so important. Of course, she ignores it. So to my or is by far the dumbest justice on the bench. That is just true. And so it shouldn't surprise us that she said something that absolutely assonized. that it is unproven that these procedures help these kids at all. And so you are giving medication to kids that only cause harm. They don't help.
Starting point is 00:30:42 We don't even have any evidence that this stops or lessens in any way suicidal ideation or feelings of anxiety or depression. Again, go and listen to Jamie Reed yesterday. she realized that these medications, these procedures were not helping these kids. They were still anxious. They were still depressed. They were still suicidal. They still never felt like themselves.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Comparing these girls who get double mastectomies to taking an aspirin is so wicked. Like I am haunted by the echoes of some of the stories that Jamie Reed told me yesterday, the story of the young woman who, as a teenager, she had her first sexual encounter. She had been on testosterone for a number of years. And because of that, her genitalia had atrophied completely. And so when she had sex for the first time, she just started bleeding out, bleeding profusely. The young woman, this might just be like one of the most heartbreaking. The young woman who by this gender clinic, where she worked was referred for a double mastectomy. She got her healthy breast chopped off because she believed that she was the opposite sex.
Starting point is 00:32:02 After that surgery, she wouldn't stop calling the clinic asking them to put her breasts back on. Daisy Strongen has sat on this white couch. She has told her story of detransition. And she had a baby shortly after she sat down for an interview here. Her second child, beautiful baby girl, and she posted on X, I think about this all the time, of the pain and the sadness that she felt holding her baby girl, feeding her a bottle of formula, knowing that she could never even attempt to breastfeed her because of what was taken from her. when she was so young, she was dealing with so many other things. She wasn't really the opposite
Starting point is 00:32:53 sex, but she got her breast chopped off thinking that it would help. Laura Perry Smalt, same story. She got her breast chopped off when she was an adult. She was a young adult and she looked in the mirror, realized she would never be a man. She couldn't change. She couldn't change that after it happened. We also had Soren, another young woman who sat on this couch, who was now detransitioned who got her healthy breast cut off when she was very young. I believe that she was only 21, so she started the transition process as a minor, and she had catastrophic injuries. And she was completely ignored by the clinic that referred her for her double mastectomy. These women will never be the same. There are young men and young women who are rendered permanently
Starting point is 00:33:46 sterile because of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones that were given to them as children, as teens. Remember also what Jamie said yesterday, that puberty is necessary not only for the body, but also for the mind, that the part of the brain that assess consequences of your actions, the part of the brain that process trauma, that regulars, that regulars, that regulars, your emotions, those all grow and mature exponentially when you go through puberty. If you pause puberty, those parts of your brain do not mature as they should. And so we've got these adolescents that are trapped in not only children's bodies because of puberty blockers, but also children's minds. And again, I want to ask you to think about
Starting point is 00:34:42 what kind of adult likes the idea of thousands of children being trapped in prepubescent bodies with prepubescent brains? Like what kind of fantasy do you think that fulfills? That's what we're talking about here, Justice Sotomayor. But she goes on to say something just as idiotic. She said, oh, having unwanted breasts, if you're a girl, is the same. thing is just having unwanted hair. You know, you get a haircut, you get your eyebrows waxed, you get a double mastectomy, all the same thing, right? Here's Sot 3. If the medical condition is unwanted hair by a nine-year-old boy who can receive estrogen for that, because at nine years
Starting point is 00:35:36 old, if he has hair, he gets laughed at and picked on, and his puberty is coming in too early. But a girl who has unwanted hair says or has unwanted breasts or has unwanted breasts or a boy at that age can get that drug, but the other can't. That's the sex-based difference. No, it's not. It's the medical purpose difference. It is what is the purpose of the medications being taken. You don't. Okay, we've got to stop and do our next ad. And if any of you think that's mean, just think about the wickedness that we're talking about. That is like as nice and respectful as I could possibly be when you think about the butchering that she is advocating for. I think Jesus would have much harsher words for justice. So, am I you are. Let me pause and tell you about Patriot Mobile. Patriot Mobile is America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. I love partnering with companies that are willing to unapologetically stand for the values that you and I have. Patriot Mobile is one of those. And so when you switch to Patriot Mobile, you get all the great service that you are used to, but you don't have to worry about
Starting point is 00:36:53 funding the left and they make switching really easy. They have a 100% U.S.-based customer service team that will help you find the best plan for your needs. Keep your number, keep your phone, or upgrade. Go to patriotmobile.com.com.com. That's patriotmobile.com slash alley code alley. So it is looking like the decision will go our way because the conservative justices do have the majority. I mean, you do have some rogue conservative justices for sure. You never have rogue liberal justices. They're ideological and they're active. And so they're always just going to go the way of the Democrat Party. They don't even believe that the Constitution is a worthy standard.
Starting point is 00:37:41 And so it's very malleable to them. And so they're extremely predictable. The conservative justices, because they're acting on principle and adherence to the Constitution, they are less predictable. And yet on this one, it does seem like they will rule in favor of the state of Tennessee. Justice Samuel Alito pressed the U.S. Solicitor General on her pretext. previous claimed that there was overwhelming evidence that hormones and puberty blockers directly and substantially improve the physical psychological well-being of transgender
Starting point is 00:38:12 adolescents with gender dysphoria. He also asked twice the ACLU lawyer, Chase Strangio, who offered the second oral argument, and we'll get to Chase in Justice second, against the Tennessee law, whether a transgender identity is, quote-unquote, immutable and unable to be changed. Here is Justice Alito and SOT 7. Are there individuals who are born, male, assigned male at birth, who at one point identify as female, but then later come to identify as male, and likewise for individuals who are assigned female at birth, at some point identify as female, I'm sorry, identify as male, but later come to identify as female?
Starting point is 00:39:04 Are there not such people? There are such people. I agree with that. So it's not an immutable characteristic, is it? Right. So caught Chase there, and you might think that that is the voice of a woman, and that is because it is, but this is a woman, Chase Strangio, who identifies as a man, and so calls herself transgender. And we will get to a little more about her in a second.
Starting point is 00:39:31 because it is significant. So Alito is making the point, okay, you said it's immutable. It's clearly not immutable. It was significant because a characteristic being immutable is part of the determination as to whether protected class should be recognized. And so obviously it's not immutable because the whole transgender belief system is that your gender is something that is declared. And you can declare something one day and declare something different than next day.
Starting point is 00:40:01 if something is immutable, it doesn't change by declaration. The truth is, is that so-called gender-affirming care is not really care for these, what I say, or gender-confused or gender-deceived young people. There's something called the Cass Review. It refers to Dr. Hillary Cass's report on so-called gender identity services for minors with the National Health Service in England. Dr. Cass was appointed to chair the independent review of gender identity services after an accomplished career in children's health in England.
Starting point is 00:40:31 It was an independent review. It was commissioned by the NHS. And what it found in a series of systematic reviews that accompanied the report, they wrote that puberty blockers show no conclusions, or there are no conclusions that can be drawn about the effect of puberty blockers on gender-related outcomes, psychological and psychosocial health, cognitive development or fertility. And so they say we actually can't tell very well one way or the other. They also said on suicide, tragically deaths by suicide and trans people of all ages
Starting point is 00:41:11 continue to be above the national average. There's no evidence that gender affirmative treatments reduce this. Such evidence as is available suggests that these deaths are related to a range of other complex psychosocial factors and to mental illness. This led the NHS to stop prescribing puberty blockers and the UK government to impose an emergency ban on such prescriptions in England, Wales, and Scotland. Dr. Stephen Levine said that gender dysphoria is a psychiatric, not a medical condition. He is a distinguished life fellow of the American psychiatric association. He is an expert in the field of gender and sexuality. He says this is a mental condition that must be helped mentally. It is not something that is going to be resolved or
Starting point is 00:42:05 rectified by changing your body. And of course, that is the humane option. If someone believes that they are in the wrong body, you try to convince their mind to reconcile with external reality. You don't change external reality and biology to try to satiate the mind. if you believe that you're born in the wrong body, that is the definition of being mentally ill. You see something that is not true. And because of that, just like a schizophrenic or people with other kinds of mental health conditions, you are not going to be healed by trying and failing to change reality to match your mentally ill view of the world. That's not me being mean.
Starting point is 00:42:49 That's trying to be as clear as possible. A 2013 estimate placed the incidence of gender dysphoria and adults at 0.002 to 0.014%. More recent surveys actually indicate that between 2 to 9% of high school students self-identify as transgender or gender non-conforming. That is because it is rapid onset gender dysphoria as Lisa Lipman has, Dr. Lisa Lipman has found. and as I write about in my book, Toxic Empathy, it is a social contagion in girls and for boys and for men, as we write about in detail here, if you look at where this idea of transgenderism comes from, it comes from sexual perverts, from Alfred Kinsey, from John Money and many others who were pedophiles, who always looked for ways to justify pedophilia and to sexually. experiment upon children and some of that had to do with trying to transition them to the opposite gender. And so there is a deeply sexual and perverse aspect of gender ideology. Am I saying that every person who identifies as the opposite sex is a pervert or is a predator?
Starting point is 00:44:10 I'm not saying that. But I am saying that there is a reason why they seem to be interwoven. there is a reason why you see men who pretend to be women wearing fishnet tights and fake boobs going to read books to kits okay it's not a coincidence these people don't have gender dysphoria they have been addicted to a very dark form of pornography and they are living out a sexual fetish that is what is behind men suddenly identifying as the opposite sex is not gender dysphoria and for young women it's a social contagion but it is also in response to sexes sexual trauma and their lives most of the time. I can't speak to every single case and every single reason, but that is what is happening in many, many, I would say the vast majority of cases. Now,
Starting point is 00:44:59 this trans-identifying person, Chase Strangio, who is defending, he's an ACLU or she is an ACLU attorney and is the first openly transgender lawyer that is arguing in front of. of the Supreme Court. She is the one who argued that transness is immutable to Samuel Alito. And then he challenged her successfully on that. I'm saying her because she is a woman. She looks like a man, a boy with a beard. And actually, it is this juxtaposition of her appearance and her voice that is so disconcerting
Starting point is 00:45:41 and so perfectly embodies the disorder and the tragic. and the tragedy and the lie of transgenderism, here she is with Jake Tapper on CNN, SOT5. These are young people who may have known since they were two years old exactly who they are, who suffered for six, seven years before they had any relief. And what's happening here, it's not the kids who are consenting to this treatment. It's the parents who are consenting to the treatment.
Starting point is 00:46:06 And as a parent, I would say, when our children are suffering, we are suffering. And these are parents who love their children, who are listening to the advice of their doctors of the mainstream medical, community and doing what's right for their kids and the state of Tennessee has displaced their judgment. That is, I don't care who you are, how far left you are. You watch that person and you say, my mind does not compute. It's not supposed to compute. Like if you showed that video to, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:46:32 a six-year-old, they would be so confused. It is cruel to offer our kids confusion. By the way, your responsibility as an adult is to offer your children clarity and truth. If your child says, mommy, there's a monster in the corner of my room. The loving thing to do is not to say, you're right, go back to bed. The loving thing to do is to go in the room, turn the light on, and say, baby, that's not, that's not a monster. You're fine. That's just a, that's just a pile of clothes. But these people believe that you're supposed to affirm and to validate the monsters in these children's lives because their feelings and their thoughts have some kind of authority. That is wicked.
Starting point is 00:47:13 And this person has a very strange background. The last name, Strangio. I don't know her entire story. I do think we should pray for her. Absolutely. There's a lot of brokenness and confusion here, clearly. But she tweeted this back when it was Twitter in March of 2020. She said, I am willing to spend an hour a day during the week video chatting with trans youth who are feeling isolated right now.
Starting point is 00:47:38 DM me. And we can coordinate through IG chat. or another platform. Really. So you are purposely like throwing out a net for young, vulnerable, mentally ill children who are isolated from their parents and you are inviting them to talk to you privately online? Huh. I don't know. I think there are some red flags there.
Starting point is 00:48:11 She posts a lot of picture with kids who apparently are so-called trans kids, which I think is very strange. She also in 2020 called for the banning of Abigail Schreier's book Irreversible Damage. She said, stopping the circulation of this book and these ideas is 100% a hill I will die on. of course, because when you are so insecure and so unsure about your own beliefs, you can't even decide what immutable means before the Supreme Court, of course you are going to try to stop the truth from getting out. And you can't sufficiently argue your case clearly or defend your beliefs. And so you are going to do everything you can just to silence opposition. Yeah, that's what fascists do. That's what communists do. It's what the ACLU is now. So thankfully, I do think that the
Starting point is 00:49:15 Supreme Court has some sense. And I think that it will go, I think it will go in the way that we think it should, those of us who are on the side of truth, not just conservatives, because this really is an issue across the board that animates people. It's just the bridge too far. It's the bridge too far. And so please, Lord, give the judge. justices, the wisdom, and courage here. This decision won't go as far as it should. They're not deciding whether a parent has a fundamental right to protect their children from these things because in some states you don't even need the consent of parents
Starting point is 00:49:52 and guess which states those are the blue states because progressive ideology is completely in contradiction to the Christian worldview. But it will hopefully protect. states rights to regulate and restrict and ban this kind of medication and so-called care for kids who are deceived about their gender. All right. Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor. That's Jace Medical. There's a lot going on. We don't know what the future holds. And it is always scary to think about what could happen with the supply chain, with the economy, having another COVID. Hopefully that never happens. But it's better to be safe than sorry,
Starting point is 00:50:34 especially when it comes to your medical care to the prescriptions that you and your family rely on or antibiotics that could save your life if you've got an infection. If for some reason there is a shortage of these medications or maybe you can't get to the pharmacy or you can't get to your doctor and you need them right away, you want to be able to have an emergency kit with these antibiotics with things like Tamiflu, Epipin, Ivermectin, also a year-long supply of the prescriptions that you and your family rely on. and that's why Jace case exists. Jace just launched an all-new compounded version of Ivermectin for only $30 as an add-on to their Jace case. Go to Jace.com. Entercode Allie at checkout for a discount on your order.
Starting point is 00:51:15 That's promo code Allie at J-A-S-E.com. All right, I've been wanting to talk about this new movie that's out called Dear Santa. It's starring Jack Black. Now, Jack Black has been very, very. outspoken, especially in the last couple years, about his progressive policies supporting Kamala Harris. I think it was at one of his recent concerts where the other guy that's in his group talked about assassinating Donald Trump or like wanting Donald Trump to be killed. And so it shouldn't surprise us that he is now starring as Satan in this movie called Dear Santa. It is a Paramount Plus movie
Starting point is 00:52:03 that claims to be a Christmas comedy, but it ultimately portrays Satan attempting to get a dyslexic sixth grader to sell his soul for a few granted wishes. What is it about children and demonic ideologies and witchcraft that so many progressives and Hollywood seem to love I think there is a, I know there is, a dark history there. Children are always the unconsenting subjects of progressive social experiments. Satan has always had it out for children.
Starting point is 00:52:47 He loves to pray upon children. That's why there is such a sweet and ironic and beautiful twist to Jesus coming to earth as a baby and being the one to crush Satan. Satan's head being the exact opposite of what you would think a victorious king would be. And yet even as an infant, as a newborn, carrying all the power to defeat the prince of the power of the air. But that struggle is still ongoing now. And we see that manifested in a variety of ways, unfortunately also through our entertainment. Here's not six.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Every Christmas Something magical happens When a kid sends a letter to Santa But Liam To Santa Is a crappy speller This looks like fun Oh, that's putrid
Starting point is 00:53:56 Thank you What do you want? You summoned me Not what I expected What'd you expect In the movies the reindeer usually have the antlers Not you kid are you high
Starting point is 00:54:07 I just find this so disgusting and awful that it would depict as innocent communicating with Satan like do you understand what Satan does what he tempts people to do all of the darkest evil that you've seen in the world
Starting point is 00:54:25 like he wants that Hitler like big fan of Hitler Satan is all all of the disgusting, depraved, violent, brutal stuff you've seen throughout history. Satan is behind that. And like we're pretending like he's just this guy that a child with special needs should be
Starting point is 00:54:54 communicating with. And that can actually grant us the things that we want. So he addressed this Christmas letter to Satan instead of Satan. Santa on accident. Satan shows up in Liam's room to find out why he has sent the letter. Liam mistakes Satan for the actual Santa Claus. He offers Santa uses, or Satan uses Liam three wishes, whatever his heart desires. And then Liam uses all three wishes. And then, or if he uses all three wishes, Satan will take Liam's soul to spend the rest of eternity in hell. This is so dark. And it's presented as a comedy. If Liam doesn't use all three wishes, the transfer never
Starting point is 00:55:40 takes place. Further, the movie implies that all people avoid hell so long as they never trade away their soul. Liam says in the movie, just because Satan's come into my life doesn't mean I worship him now. Meeting Satan may have been the best thing that ever happened to me. Eventually, Satan realizes that he actually likes doing some good deeds and he chooses to grant. the wish that Liam had originally written in his letter to Santa. Now, I'm having a hard time reading these two words, to bring his brother who had died in a tragic accident back to life. When Liam heads into his home's living room, he finds that Satan has brought his brother back from the dead and he's erased the memories from his parents of Spencer, his brother, ever
Starting point is 00:56:27 dying. Here's what plugged in says. And if you ever want to know, should my kids see a movie? I mean, hopefully you don't have a question about this one, but other movies plugged in as a great resource. So here's what they say, Satan's occasional goodwill nature and the problematic scope of his supernatural powers bringing the dead back to life, which by the way, Satan cannot do. According to dear, so this is, that's something that they see is problematic because of course it's in contradiction to the biblical worldview. They say, according to your Santa, Satan's a bad dude who does ultimately want to steal a child's soul, but he's apparently also got principles and just may go out of. his way to fix the issues and your and your family's lives. This is a horrible, horrifying message that you should not flirt with at all. You should not even allow your teenagers to watch something like this. It would get them excited about trying to communicate with Satan, doing some kind of
Starting point is 00:57:22 witchcraft, some kind of messaging so that Satan, who's kind of just a little bit like the Grinch, but ultimately it's a softy deep down, to try to communicate. communicate with him so he will do what they want. I cannot think of a worse message to convey to anyone in particular children. It also to me just shows the confusion of Santa in general. I am not saying that telling your kids that Santa is real is satanic. I personally, and I know this is a hot take, but I've been saying it for years now. I personally think that telling kids that Santa is real is unwise. It distracts from the real meaning of Christmas, which is Jesus. Of course, it's really hard to be like, oh, Santa, Santa, Santa, Santa. But remember the reason for the season. I mean,
Starting point is 00:58:11 you're asking your five-year-old to do the impossible there. Most adults can't even do those things. And also, you are basically presenting this legalistic, non-real version of God that he sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good. So be good because he's watching. He gives you gifts or he gives you bad things if you do bad. And so you've got this omniscient, omnipresent, supernaturally powerful guy who is assessing your rights and wrongs and giving you things based on that. Like that is such a dark and base version of the true gospel and the true God who really does see you when you're sleeping, who knows. when you're awake, he sees you as you rise, he sees you as he lies down, there is nowhere that you can
Starting point is 00:59:04 go to escape his presence. And he really does exist. And he really has given you a good gift, not based on whether you've done something good or done something bad, but by his grace. And that good gift is Jesus Christ himself that came in the form of a baby in a manger. Like that is the gift and the real story of Christmas. And so we should be doing everything we can to get our kids to focus on that, to tell our kids that story, that when they want something, when they fear something, when they're worried about something, when they hope for something,
Starting point is 00:59:45 to pray to the God who through Christ actually hears them, loves them, knows them, wants what is best for them. Satan hates your children. Okay? Let's just remember that, that this might be. be a quote unquote funny movie but Satan is real and he hates your children and it just reminded me of an excerpt that I wrote in toxic empathy and we'll we'll end with this let me see if I can find it without having to without having to stop recording the conclusion the conclusion of my book
Starting point is 01:00:25 emphasizes this point. This is on page 160. Satan seems to have it out for children. They're always the most vulnerable prey to Satan's schemes. Mentally and physically less developed than adults, children don't have the tools to defend themselves against the more powerful. They're easily moldable for better and for worse. Parents are to offer spiritual, mental, and physical protection to their children, while Satan and his cohorts will always seek their spiritual, mental, and physical destruction. This idea is captured in much of the, of much of, in much of dystopian literature and brave new world babies are grown in pods have no natural family are desensitized to sex at an early age and become brainwashed ambassadors of the system in
Starting point is 01:01:06 1984 children become enemies of their parents and defensive big brother look throughout history and the cultures most controlled by satan have been marked by the exploitation of children forcing children into slavery and prostitution offering them as sacrifices to gods or using them to advance a political agenda from ancient carthage to the ask text to pre-colonial West Africa, babies and children were sacrificed to satisfy the demands of pagan deities. In ancient Rome, children were often used as sexual objects for powerful men. Throughout the 20th century, children became foot soldiers of dictatorial regimes like Hitler's Germany and Pol Potts Cambodia. Today, we're not so different from our pagan predecessors.
Starting point is 01:01:46 It's just that our bloodthirst has been given politically correct names such as abortion and gender-affirming care. We are still very much in the barbaric business of butchering children. children's bodies and exploiting them as political objects. One could even argue it's still a form of sacrifice to a kind of God. Some may say it's the gods of progressivism or of social justice or the God of empathy. I like to say that these are sacrifices made to the God of self, who is relentless and merciless in his demands for the satisfaction of his desires. And so it is Christian's obligation just as it has always been since the inception of the church to protect these children. Whether it's in some seemingly trivial form like a movie that is glorifying, communicating with Satan,
Starting point is 01:02:35 or whether it is in the demonic form of transient children and making them believe that they are born in the wrong bodies. All right, before we get out of here, I just got one more quick ad. and that is My Patriot Supply. My Patriot Supply offers emergency food kits.
