Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey - Ep 1142 | Piecing Together Elon Musk & Ashley St. Clair's Puzzling Romance

Episode Date: February 18, 2025

We're back today with a brief update on the "Patriarchy Hannah" situation, her viral apology post, and how this should be a lesson to all of us to not trust pathological liars on the internet. We're a...lso discussing Ashley St. Clair's bombshell announcement that she had a child with Elon Musk and has allegedly been attempting to get in touch with him. We go over Elon's response to the allegations, or rather lack thereof, and discuss how different his responses are to the mothers of his many other children. We also talk about the broader issue of purposely creating motherless and fatherless children and how the circumstances of a child's conception are not necessarily always worthy of congratulations. On Valentine's Day, conservative commentator Ashley St. Clair announced that five months ago, she welcomed a child with Elon Musk. But there's a lot of controversy within this that I think is worth discussing and debating as Christians. But first, we've got a very important announcement about the subject of yesterday's episode, Patriarchy Hannah. So let's get into it. Hey, guys, welcome to relatable. Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. Well, I am thanking the Lord that today is my 33rd birthday. I am so grateful for life and just everything that the Lord has so graciously blessed me with. I love being a wife and a mom and getting to talk to you guys so many times a week.
Starting point is 00:01:59 I am so, so grateful that the Lord has blessed me so far beyond anything I could ever possibly deserve. and first and foremost, he has offered us his son as redemption from our sins, and he has reached the standard that I could never reach so that I could be reconciled to God, friends with God, have salvation, be sanctified, be free from sin, and one day spend forever with him. And that is what I am most thankful for today and every day. and thank you guys so much for adding so much flavor and richness to my life. I wouldn't be able to do this if it weren't for you.
Starting point is 00:02:44 So thank you so much. In honor of my birthday, I would love for you guys. We've done this for a few years now to donate to a pregnancy center in Texas. If you came to share the arrows, you're probably familiar with Prestonwood Pregnancy Center. We've also had the director, Leanne, on the show a couple times. I know firsthand that they are doing amazing work that by the grace of God is changing and saving lives. And they have just opened up a new center in another part of Texas. So now they have two centers and they really need items, especially at this new pregnancy center.
Starting point is 00:03:22 So they need diapers. They need wipes. They need all kinds of stuff that they offer to pregnant women who are in need. And if you've been following for a while, you probably, remember those pictures or videos that we post after you all have so generously donated these items through the Amazon Baby Registry, not just a Prestonwood pregnancy center, but to a variety of pregnancy centers across the country. And they're just always so touching. They're always so amazing seeing just the magnitude of your generosity and Christian love manifesting itself in the
Starting point is 00:03:59 giving of material resources. It's just so amazing. And, you know, you know, you know, you. And you, You've heard this story before if you've been listening for a while, but if you haven't, this always just like touches my heart so much that Leanne, the director of Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, tells this amazing story. A couple years ago, we did what we do. We posted the link and you guys generously donated lots and lots of items through Amazon to Prestonwood Pregnancy Center. Well, the Amazon driver who was dropping off the boxes at the center, was like, what in the world is going on. This is like, I don't think I've ever dropped off this many boxes at one location. And so the volunteers and the staff at PPC got to tell him, got to tell this man what they do,
Starting point is 00:04:46 what their mission is. And then right there, one of the male staffers at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center got to lead that man to Christ. And that man right there bowed his head, prayed, and became a Christian because of the gospel sharing the evangelism of one of the people that works at PPC. And that arrangement was made possible because of your generosity. So when it looks like God is doing one thing, he's actually doing a million things. Many we cannot see. But he also gives us the privilege sometimes to see exactly what part of the constellation of someone's testimony we are playing a role in. So this is like not just tangible material, temporal stuff. We are talking about an eternal impact. So if you could please go to the link in the description,
Starting point is 00:05:41 donate via Amazon. It'll be sent directly to their center and you could literally help save a life. One more announcement. We've got a marriage Q&A, a relationship Q&A for Blaze TV subscribers coming out very soon. Bree, when is it coming out? Friday. It's coming out on Friday. Blaz TV subscribers. Go to blazTV.com slash Allie. Go ahead and subscribe. You'll get $20 off your subscription. You get access to all our behind the paywall content. It's really important to subscribe because we never know what's going to happen with the sensors with big tech. Like any day we could be completely deplatformed. But being a Blaze TV subscriber makes sure that you're always going to have access. to our content, no matter what big tech decides. So go to blazTV.com slash alley. That marriage
Starting point is 00:06:37 Q&A will be out this Friday. All right. We are going to get into Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair and why it matters. But I do want to give an update on the patriarchy Hannah situation that has developed over the past 24 hours. So I won't even give a recap. It would take too long. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go and listen to or watch yesterday's episode. This person, Jennifer Bays, Patriarchy Hannah on X, re-activated her account yesterday to apologize. And so she is now owning up to the fact that she did lie about her identity. She was denying all of this just a few days ago before she deactivated her account.
Starting point is 00:07:25 she was accusing people of doxing her and doxing people that she didn't know. She was accusing people of slander and pushing lies. Well, now she has owned up to it. So she said this. I just want to say that I am sorry for the lies I told and the hurt I caused. I never intended for this account to become as big as it did. And once things started snowballing, I enjoyed the relationships I'd built and didn't know how to put it and into it. It was wrong of me.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I have repented of this behavior. will not be back on X. I'm sorry to everyone I hurt with my lies. Some things that have been said are true and some things are wildly inaccurate, but I don't see a point in sorting it all out. The bottom line is that I am not who I presented myself to be. I'm not going to be giving my reasons for why I started because I am not looking for sympathy here. It was wrong and I humbly hope that you all can find it in your hearts to forgive me in the future. Please stop reaching out my family. They're aware of the situation, but are very freaked out by people trying to make contact with them. They didn't do anything to deserve this attention. I'm sure you understand.
Starting point is 00:08:36 I don't think people should be reaching out to her family either, but just to be fair, she did put them in this situation. They're probably more freaked out that she was taking pictures of houses across the street from their property, saying it was her own. And that is actually how people found out who her parents actually were and their different addresses. And so she did put her family in this very precarious position. So some people congratulated her basically for being courageous. A lot of people said, you know what? This took strength. You're going in the right direction. others expressed a sentiment of hoping that she repents and hoping that she turns to the Lord and that this is a new chapter in her life.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And others sent responses saying, I think understandably, hey, I'm still hurt. And I need you to, I need you to do some things because we were actually friends. And this is where I think it's really sad. there were people who put their trust in this person that they thought was real, who took marriage advice from her and even sent her different baby items, thinking that she was adopting or fostering a new baby, as she said. So here's an example. One person on X said, I showed you a picture of my son with Santa.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Please delete that. And don't do anything shameful with it. I don't care about anything other than that. That's my baby. I shouldn't have sent that thinking. I knew you. Ugh, that's just heartbreaking. You think that you are protecting the privacy of your child because you are sending your picture
Starting point is 00:10:21 to someone that you know and that you have grown to trust that you've probably shared details of your life with. And now you feel like you've made your child vulnerable. Put your picture into the hands of a fraud. Patriarchy Hannah said, don't worry, I will delete right now. Now, the reason that is a very odd response, don't worry, I will delete right now. for a number of reasons. If my friend sends me a picture of her child,
Starting point is 00:10:48 oh, look at so-and-so, they're starting to walk, they're so sweet, whatever. First of all, like, I love it. That's great. I'm not saving that picture. Like, there would be no reason for me to save a picture of a friend's child, especially someone that I knew just over the internet. So I think it's strange that she immediately remembered
Starting point is 00:11:08 that she had this particular picture, that she knew exactly where it was, that she could say that she would delete it. I think it's weird that she had saved this picture on her phone. But the reason why it's even weirder is because someone I love to follow. She goes by Lou in Alaska on X. She said that she had spoken to Jennifer, aka Hannah, woman to woman face to face. I don't think actually in person, maybe on FaceTime, but she said, we've agreed that I can share the following. She recognizes that much of the information photos, personal info she has gotten from Connection. says Hannah is sensitive could cause alarm among those who felt close enough to share it with her.
Starting point is 00:11:48 She says that she has erased the messages containing this info and will honor the privacy of the people who trusted her with those things. Okay. And I trust that Lou and Alaska like actually talked to her. She wouldn't just make that up. Okay. So she promised to Lou and Alaska, I've deleted that. And then later this post comes out where she's apologizing. And she responds to one of the replies saying, hey, please delete that. picture I sent you of my son and she says, I'm deleting now. Okay, well, why hadn't you already done that? Because you said that you had and now you're saying, oh, I'm going to do that. And then one person named Monica asked, what did you do with all the baby gifts people sent to you? Patriarchy Hannah said, I received five baby gifts and they were all used for a baby. well they're not her babies because she wasn't really fostering and adopting she didn't really have the 14 children she said that she did and so we don't know what what baby who's baby and again these people spent their hard-earned dollars it doesn't matter if it was four dollars or maybe 400 dollars on a nice stroller we don't know they spent their hard-earned dollars on a gift for someone who they believed really needed it financially for a vulnerable child that she was helping okay like that is swindling and she doesn't say here okay don't worry i'm going to pay you back
Starting point is 00:13:14 don't worry i'll vimow you or i'll make sure that you get your money back i mean think about like the stories of the tax collectors that jesus redeemed there was a repaying involved in the repentance um that they that they exercised and so i think it's strange to just say well yeah i got the five, got the five presents and I gave it to a baby, no indication that there's going to be any payback there. I just feel sorry for those who were swindled. There's a little bit more on this. Let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day first. That's ACCU. They're not just a banker credit union. It's a grassroots movement of believers pulling resources to support each other and a God-glorifying worldview. They offer financial solutions that empower Christians
Starting point is 00:14:01 to reach their financial goals. Plus, when you bank with ACCU, you support. causes that align with your faith like Christ-centered education, ministry building, and better lending rates for borrowers and returns for depositors. So there's an amazing opportunity from ACCU that will help you save money. They are now offering a new member certificate with amazing rates. This is one of the best ways to grow your savings with your faith in the driver's seat. So here's how you get started. It's super simple. With as little as $1,000 and up to $100,000, you can get your new member certificate. This high rate is locked in for a full 12 months. Plus, your money is federally insured up to $250,000 through the NCUA with additional coverage for qualifying accounts.
Starting point is 00:14:49 It is only available for the first 60 days after you join ACCU, so act fast. Go to America's ChristianCU.com slash alley. Open your account today. America's ChristianCU.com slash Allie, America's Christian Credit Union is federally insured by the NCUA. Just a few days ago, Patriarchy Hannah, before she deactivated her account and realized, okay, people are really on to me. I'm not going to be able to squirrel out of this one. She was tweeting on Valentine's Day, for example, they were so close, but so far, better luck next time, maybe.
Starting point is 00:15:26 No hard feelings to everyone caught up in it. I understand how Christian Twitter loves a scandal. So she's basically saying none of this is true or maybe part of it is true. and I'm not mad at you for being caught up in that, you know, the lies about me. She would have probably said. She said also it's worse than y'all think, actually, I'm really a fed. So there she is using sarcasm and jokes about this. There's also a question of like one of the anonymous accounts that we talked about yesterday. It's a newly made account like Dr. Roxy or something. We don't know if it is her, if it's this Jennifer.
Starting point is 00:16:06 for a base person or not. We don't know who it is. But this account, it's still up. Again, you can go back and listen to this part of yesterday's episode. But it's threatening Ryan Duff, the guy who has uncovered all of this, is like trying to drag him through the mud and say, like, remember when you did this. And it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. And like, you've got a target on your back. We can play this game. I don't know who else this would be. We don't know who it is. But obviously, if it is, Jennifer Bays, that's just another reason to believe that the repentance is just not real. I think that you have to be extremely, extremely cautious with pathological liars.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I'm not saying that we should not express a desire for her to repent and to find satisfaction and truth in Christ, because of course, we want that for absolutely everyone. But she does not deserve your celebrations or congratulations for being courageous, because we are also already, rather, seen discrepancies in her story now. And when you have a pathological line problem, things don't necessarily make sense. And you can't take anything they say at face value, as sincere as they might come across. And so also, I don't actually see this included in here. But someone said, oh, you should stick around and make this a parody account.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Don't get off X. And her reply was, we'll see. Okay. Well, you just said that you were going to get off X as a matter of repentance and getting your life together. Then you respond to someone's reply that you should stick around and make a different kind of content with, we'll see. You shouldn't even be replying.
Starting point is 00:17:59 You shouldn't be replying to anyone. You need to deactivate your account, and I'm asking all of you to not follow or interact with this person and to just have your antennae up and to just be critical thinkers about everyone and everything. And I'm not going to sit here and say, you can't trust anyone, but you can trust me. Of course, I, you know, you can trust me. Of course. I say that. And I want you to know that I'm trustworthy, but ultimately I don't care about that.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Like, I want you to question everything and everyone online. I just want you to remember that Jesus Christ is who he says he is, is real, is trustworthy. And when everything else seems fake and deceiving, you can rest in that. And that his word is reliable. I really don't care what you think of me or what you think of anyone else. Quite frankly, I think that we should kind of be skeptical. of everyone to a certain degree in the public eye. But I want you to know for sure that you can trust in God and that none of this, a professing Christian, like faking an identity, none of
Starting point is 00:19:14 this makes him less trustworthy or the faith that he founded less trustworthy. All right. Now let's get to Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair. And you might think, well, Ali, isn't this just internet gossip? It doesn't really matter. Well, the Trad movement was a growing movement with a lot of influence. A lot of people were duped by this. I think it was worth asking why. Like, what is actually behind that? And for us to just all check ourselves and make sure that we are discerning, plus it was just interesting. And then this Ashley St. Clair, Elon Musk story absolutely matters, because Elon Musk is arguably the most powerful man in the world right now, probably tied with Donald Trump,
Starting point is 00:20:03 his procreation of a child with a prominent young conservative commentator and the online controversy that ensued after the existence of the child was announced gives so much insight into where the right, if you can even call us that, is in the United States. what our values are, what we deeply disagree on, what our obligation is as Christian conservatives. Like there is just so much to discuss and debate after we get into the details of what actually happened. So if you have no idea what I'm talking about, buckle up. On Valentine's Day, conservative influencer, Ashley St. Clair, posted on X that she gave birth to Elon Musk's baby
Starting point is 00:20:44 five months ago claiming she was forced to make the bombshell announcement due to threats of prying tabloid reporters. So I saw this post on, um, on Valentine's night and I literally woke up chief related bro. I was like, uh, uh, and he was like, what? Uh, uh, Ashley Sinclair and Elon Musk had a baby. And he was like, what? What? He was like, am I dreaming? No. No, they didn't. And I was like, yes, they did. And before I woke him up, I verified that this was real because I almost thought it was a joke. I thought it was, I don't know, some kind of strange satire or prank or something. And then I dug into it and I asked a journalist friend. I was like, is this real? Because I saw that this person had replied to Ashley St. Clair and the journalist was like, yes, this is real. Okay. So then I was digging into this and going down
Starting point is 00:21:45 the rabbit hole for a very long time that night and the next day because I was just kind of naive. that something like this could happen. I don't know. I'm just not really paying that much attention to these two people. Elon Musk, I'm paying attention to in so far as like his influence on the government, but I'm not checking his Twitter very much. Ashley St. Clair, I'll get into like our kind of back and forth a little bit, but these are just not people I really closely follow on social media.
Starting point is 00:22:16 And so I was just taken aback. So a little bit more about Ashley. She was formerly employed by the Babylon B. She wrote a children's book in 2021 with brave books titled Elephants or Not Birds. And so this is like an analogy for the gender madness. Ashley has become well known on X where she has a significant following over a million followers. She also appeared, if you'll remember, I think we talked about it on the show. So conservative dads ultra right beer company, they did a calendar last year, I think this year too,
Starting point is 00:22:50 where they've got like conservative influencers, scantily clad, or in bikinis and like very, very non-artistic and unflattering light and scenarios for like this conservative dad's calendar. I just think it's so bad in so many ways, artistically morally, but anyway, she was in that calendar. Maybe you know her from that. Hopefully not. She has one child already with a chiropractor. I guess his name is public. but I don't know if I want to say it on this show.
Starting point is 00:23:22 So she's a single mom. They're not married. Some people are saying that she's married to this person, her first child's dad, but they're not married. I met Ashley a couple years ago briefly at a Babelambi event. She was, you know, super nice. We've had positive interactions,
Starting point is 00:23:40 at least that I can remember. But like I said, I wasn't really paying that much attention to our content. I remember she was seemingly very, very anti-Rond DeSantis, like trolled him pretty hard and his team during the primary. I was still am a big Ron DeSantis fan. So I thought that that was like off-putting. I was just also surprised.
Starting point is 00:24:02 It's one thing to prefer a certain candidate. I was surprised that she like went down the mocking lane of Ron DeSantis. I did notice that Elon interacted with her quite a bit on X. And like back when Elon took over Twitter, it was like always. always really exciting when he was responding to conservative commentators like, oh my gosh. And like whenever Elon replied, and probably this is probably still true, replies to a post, the post like ends up going viral because his reach is so large. So I would see them sometimes going back and forth, but I don't really remember thinking much of this, except for the fact that her influence, like her following on X
Starting point is 00:24:43 had grown so much over the past few years. And maybe that's all organic. Maybe that has done nothing to do with Elon Musk. I just recall taking note of that several months ago. And then where we had a negative interaction was also a few months ago last year when she started going after Lila Rose. You'll remember in August, multiple conservatives criticized Trump for his seeming wishy-washiness on abortion and Lila, the head of the pro-life organization live action, was maybe like the most persistent prominent voice criticizing Trump. She put some posts up talking about Trump's comments about vetoing a national ban on abortion, kind of like agreeing with the Supreme Court about the legality of abortion pills.
Starting point is 00:25:34 And then he came out at first against Amendment 4 in Florida and then switched on that. And then because of that, because Lila, which I think that she was genuinely. trying to push Trump toward a more pro-life position, not trying to get Trump to lose. And, you know, Lila and I debated and discussed a lot of this at the time privately. And yeah, we had a lot of conversations about it. And so she wasn't trying to get Trump to lose. She was trying to sincerely do what she believed was right and most effective at the time. But Ashley St. Clair, she decided to go after Lila and say Lila Rose, the most prominent voice in the pro-life movement, is telling you not to vote because Trump isn't principled enough while she pays herself over a quarter
Starting point is 00:26:19 a million a year and uses $14 million in pro-life donations to throw luxury gala's and pay for podcast appearances. And she notes the salary that she gets and like how many donations they get and where it's spent. And she was very upset apparently because live action wasn't sending enough money she thought to pro-life pregnancy centers and so much was just spent on social media and stuff, which is all stupid. Like it was all a stupid critique and I went to bat for Lila at the time. First of all, she founded and runs a very large and influential organization. And so, no, I don't think her salary is too much.
Starting point is 00:27:04 And it's just silly to even try to assert that, especially when we look at some of the details of Ashley St. Clair's deal and arrangement with Elon Musk, but also live action is an educational organization. They're not a pregnancy center. There are pregnancy centers that exist. There are organizations that exist to support pregnancy centers. There are lots of different arms of the pro-life movement. Live action is a part of one arm, is really leading the charge in a lot of ways, and other organizations are leading the charge in different ways. But Ashley, when after her, I think very personally and in a very manipulative and conniving way, basically saying that she's just trying to get rich and she's swindling the pro-life movement, claiming that
Starting point is 00:27:56 Lila Rose is a grifter, all of that. And so we kind of went back and forth during that time. So I wouldn't say that like we were on the best like the best terms. 2019, Ashley St. Clair said, bring back family values. This is what she said on X. Make monogamy great again. It's okay to be a stay-at-home wife or mom. Femininity is beautiful. She also said in 2019, I refuse to live in a society where casual irresponsible sex is valued more than children. I refuse to live in a society where Planned Parenthood's profits are valued more than life. I refuse to live in a society where feelings are valued more than human beings. I think those are all awesome statements. And she also said men like tact in class. And so women should be more classy. She posted in 2020, I just want a husband, two kids and a small farm. In 2023, she said, ladies, please believe me when I say the media feminists are lying to you about sex.
Starting point is 00:29:03 They are actually very miserable women who want to validate their own horrible life choices by having you make them. There was nothing more unliberating than the sexual liberation movement. Yeah, I agree with all of those things. I'm not sure that Ashley St. Clair agrees with all of those things. And we'll get to more of actually what happened with Elon Musk in just a second. Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor. And that is good ranchers. You guys know I love good ranchers, but you might not know that 85% of the grass fed beef in stores is actually imported from overseas. Even those that say made in the USA, they can just put a sticker made in the USA on a package. And all that means is that that meat might have just been packaged in the U.S.,
Starting point is 00:29:47 but it might have been imported from Nicaragua or who knows where. And so you can't really know the quality of your meat when you don't know where it comes from. And that is a great thing about good ranchers is that all of their meat, whether it's their beef or chicken or seafood, it's all from American farms and ranches. And so you are supporting American industry, you know exactly where your meat is coming from, super high quality, tastes great. We always have a freezer full of Good Rancher meat. I love not having to go to the grocery store and try to figure out what's real, what's not,
Starting point is 00:30:19 what's good, what's bad. I can trust the quality and the origin with Good Ranchers. Plus, it shows up at our door on dry ice every month. It just makes my life a lot easier. Go to Good Ranchers.com slash Alley. when you subscribe, they will do an add-on of meat to your box every month. Starting point is 00:30:53 Okay, so here's what she posted. She posted a screenshot or like a picture of text on X, on Valentine's Night. She said five months ago, I welcomed the new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so regardless of the harm it will cause. I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child's privacy and refrain from invasive reporting. She also put, like, as the caption on her ex post, Alia Lakta est. So that means the die is cast.
Starting point is 00:31:40 So this signifies like a point of no return. The phrase is attributed to Julius Caesar when he crossed the Rubicon in 49 BC. This is very like Elon Mosky. He does things like that. So she's saying the die is cast. I am putting this out there. It's the point of no return. So she is asking for privacy here, which I totally understand.
Starting point is 00:32:05 There should be no journalist going after children. If she has decided, if they have decided to keep their children private, then no one needs to know the name of the child, the gender of the child, what the child looks like. I understand being interested in this story. Absolutely. Again, we've got like the most powerful man in the world creating his 14th, maybe. We don't really know how many kids. he has, but possibly 14th baby with a conservative commentator who has been very public about believing in traditional socially conservative Christian values. Like, that's a story. I understand
Starting point is 00:32:40 journalists being interested in wanting to tell that story. But if it is true that a journalist was hounding her trying to get pictures of the child, then that is awful behavior. I actually think there should be some kind of legal punishment for going after her children like that. And I believe that she is truly anxious about that and wants to protect her child. I have no doubt that she loves her babies and wants to protect them from the predation of these kinds of journalists. And she's talked about people like stalking her and trying to get to her child. And I believe that she is very fearful of that. And I hope and pray for their protection. Now, what is a little odd. And I understand this is a PR strategy and it was probably the crisis publicity firm,
Starting point is 00:33:21 PR firm that she hired that told her to do this. But it is strange that she puts out this thing. She's like, I just want total privacy. I want my child to live a private life. But then she does a sit down interview with the New York Post. So she did this on Saturday. And this was actually before she ended up announcing this on X. But the article itself came out after she had announced it on X. According to this exclusive interview, Ashley, Elon crossed paths on acts in 2003 meeting in person for the first time when Elon hosted the Babylon B at Twitter headquarters for an interview. They started talking via text. He asked her to go to Providence, Rhode Island, like just a few hours after they met in San Francisco. And I guess she did. Actually,
Starting point is 00:34:19 the New York Post didn't say whether she did or not, but I assume that that is what's being implied there. And apparently they were romantically involved for a period of time. And she got pregnant. She claims to the New York Post that she was told by Elon to keep the pregnancy a secret forever, that she was only allowed to tell a small, close-knit circle of people. She claims that she really pushed back against the original agreement that he tried to give her, which basically said you can't even tell your other son, like about the existence of this baby. And I guess the agreement that they ended up agreeing on that she ended up signing was like a little more lax than that. But she was in total isolation. She said that she was put up in a really swanky apartment
Starting point is 00:35:05 that she was given security, that she was given financial comfort by the world's richest man, but that she was in total isolation. She didn't post anything on Instagram. She was apparently isolated from her family. According to text messages between Ashley and Musk's money manager, Jared Birchall, Musk wished to be left off the birth certificate to preserve privacy and security. Ashley complied with this wish. So it's not even on the birth certificate of this poor child that his, his or her. We actually don't know the gender of the baby that the child's father is Elon Musk. Despite this attempt at secrecy, Ashley said that Musk obsessed fans apparently began speculating and began harassing her online and imperturb. Impurte.
Starting point is 00:35:53 She also says that a tabloid, she doesn't want a name, started snooping around and that her hand has been forced to make this announcement by the media. She also told the New York Post that she had not been in contact with Musk since making the statement, but she said she notified his team before posting it on X. She claimed they ignored it. I think that it's worth noting. So like I said, I kind of understand the PR strategy behind getting ahead of the story. and telling your story from your perspective to a trusted reporter or a reporter that she thinks she can trust, like the New York Post, which is pretty like conservative friendly.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I understand that, but it also looks a little strange when you were saying, I really want privacy, I just want a normal life. And you let this reporter apparently, well, yes, not even apparently, it says in the story that the reporter met at her swanky New York apartment. and you let a photographer into your Swanky New York apartment. And you take these, what I think, are kind of like suggestive photos and what almost looks like lingerie in your apartment for this story. If I had been a publicist, I'm just talking about from a strategic perspective, I would have said, okay, yes, let's tell the story. I don't know if I would have picked the New York Post.
Starting point is 00:37:19 I would have picked probably an independent journalist. But let's tell your story. make sure we get out ahead of it, make sure it has all the details that we need no headshots, no pictures, because the pictures look like you're glamorizing it. It doesn't look like your hand has been forced and that you are scared to protect your child. Now, maybe she truly, I mean, I do think that she truly is and she wants to protect your child, but maybe she's not trying to glorify it and she just made a mistake, but it really doesn't look good. And then another New York Post article came out saying that she feels, quote, jilted and ghosted.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Ashley's friend Imagoe Morris told the New York Post yesterday that Ashley felt jilted and terrified after Elon Musk refused to come to her aid when reporters began to snoop around her. So Ashley got wind that a tabloid was kicking the tires on her and she reached out to Elon immediately. He basically cut bait. And so the message was understood that she was on her own. Morris said Ashley expected it would be an arrangement similar to that. he has with his other baby mamas, okay? Their words, not mine. She would raise the child and Elon would be
Starting point is 00:38:28 peripherally present in their lives. I mean, yeah, okay, I'll get to my feelings about it in just a second. Morris said Musk's hostile actions left St. Clair with no choice but to tell the story before anyone else could. Ashley St. Clair's rep, Brian Glicklitch, told TMC that she had been respecting Elon's wish to keep their purported baby news, purported baby news private, but had no choice when an unnamed tabloid reporters started hounding her hinting they were hours from releasing the story. Brian added that lately Elon and his team have completely ghosted Ashley despite her reaching out multiple times. And this is just very sad. This part is just so so sad. So this started unraveling later that night the next day on X after she posted her announcement. So Musk has been on X. I'm sure
Starting point is 00:39:21 he's seen it. He has posted about a variety of topics on X since Ashley's announcement but does not publicly acknowledge the allegation. So we have no verification from Elon Musk about his paternity. According to a representative for Ashley, they said this. This is Brian Glicklitch. Ashley and Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time. It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family made it impossible to complete that process confidentially. We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley to end unwarranted speculation. So Musk didn't respond to any of this, but he did respond to Milo Yanopolis. Milo Yanopolis, like really capitalized
Starting point is 00:40:10 on this moment and dug up some old posts. He says, like his accusation is that Ashley St. Clair had been planning this for a long time. So Ashley St. Clair, Milo says, and, you know, yeah, it's Milo Unoplas. So Ashley St. Clair plotted for half a decade to ensnare Elon Musk. This is an old tweet where she said, it's confusing about what she's actually referring to. But Ashley is responding to Greg Price. She says, I need it to get Elon Musk's attention for a marriage proposal. Please, Greg. I mean, it sounds to me like she's joking. Greg Price says he's got a kid with a one already seems unlikely to work out. Ashley St. Clair said, well, he actually has seven kids and goes through women pretty fast. This was May of 2020, and she did a crying, laughing emoji. To me, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:40:59 this doesn't like really prove anything. To me, it just looks like a joke. And then Elon Musk responds, though, to Milo Yianopoulos claiming that Ashley St. Clair has been plotting this since 2020, just saying, whoa. And that is the first time we see him say anything. about the announcement that Ashley St. Clair gave birth to his child five months ago. And when he did that, I knew things were not going well. And I, my sadness for this whole situation really grew. So after Elon Musk said, whoa, to Milo Ianapolis, so Ashley responded to him saying, Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded, when are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an
Starting point is 00:41:50 individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old? I don't know exactly what she's responding to or talking about. I guess Milo posted a picture of her like that. So she ended up deleting that response. She also posted this on her own page. She said, it's interesting that Elon, this is on the 15th, the day after she made the announcement, is responding to this clearly ingest screenshots. So she's saying she was joking back in 2020 that was discussed with his team months ago in a documented call. So I guess she's saying, yeah, he already knew about this silly screenshot. Now he decides to respond to it publicly from an account that posted underage photos of me as if he, Elon, wasn't asking me to have more children with him last week. I would like to take this
Starting point is 00:42:38 offline for a child's sake and have been attempting to for weeks. Also, she posted, FYI, the security team on Elon's own platform locked the account, Milo's account. He is now responding to for a week for posting a non-consensual underwear photo of me as a child. So I think what she's trying to say is like, this is real, I can't believe that Elon is responding to this account, of all accounts, that she's claiming, like, he knows that he knows that Milo has like posted these things. I think that's what she's claiming. and he's responding anyway, and this is the first response he gives to the announcement that Ashley St. Clair had his child. And so, and so that was how the drama initially unfolded.
Starting point is 00:43:27 And we have more. And I will give my thoughts on all of this in just a second. But let me pause. And I'm going to tell you about our third sponsor for the day. Sometimes your package that you ordered is delayed for weeks. And that could be okay if it's just a knick-knack that you bought on Etsy. It's not okay if it's the medication that you are waiting on. It hasn't made it to the pharmacy. What are you supposed to do if you really need that antibiotic or you need that prescription that you depend on? You need an emergency stash of medication so that you are better safe than sorry. It's a great way to make sure that your family is taking care of and prepared. So enter their giveaway by going to jace.com. And when you check out, you can use code Alley for a discount for your purchase. That's jace.com code Alley. Okay. So Elon Musk also had, well, he has a child with a lot of different people. He's got a child with Justin Wilson.
Starting point is 00:46:32 He's got a child's three children with Canadian pop star Grimes. I actually don't know that I knew that. that she had, that they had three children. One son is techno mechanicus, because of course, rolls off the tongue. And I wouldn't typically like say the names, but they have made these public, of course, themselves. Elon also has three children with Neurrelink executive, Chauvin Zillis, born via surrogate. Two, twins were born in 2021.
Starting point is 00:47:05 And then another child was born in 2024. So last year was a banner year for. Elon Musk's fertility. I don't know. Procreation. So these are the children that we know about. I don't know. I truly don't know if we know all of Elon Musk's children. Now, most of these children were born via IVF and many of them were born via surrogacy. Remember, Elon Musk has been very public about wanting to repopulate the earth. He has even made jokes before about, you know, having no problem. with repopulating that he's doing his part. And he believes that depopulation is a big crisis, which of course, I agree that depopulation is a big crisis. And as I will get into it in a second, I don't think that this is the way to go about it. In fact, I know that it's not. But in the aftermath
Starting point is 00:47:59 of Ashley St. Clair, obviously being extremely desperate, it seems to me, and I don't mean that in like the pejorative sense, but like truly desperate, eager to try to connect with the a parent father of her baby, he is responding to his other baby mama. I'm sorry, it's, I don't know how else to say it. It is. They're baby mammas. His other baby mama on X. So she happens to post, and again, this just seems intentional to me. She posted in the midst of this, Lil loves of my life. And it's a picture of her with two of her kids, not the third one. I don't know. And then posted two hearts. While Elon Musk responded to her, to this baby mama with like one of those smiley faces with the hearts all around it. And she responded
Starting point is 00:48:45 to him with a heart. Now, as far as I know, they were never romantically involved. They just had an arrangement where via IVF, she gave birth to his kids. And on top of that, Elon Musk's mom, May Musk also like quote posted. I still say quote tweeted, Chivon Zillis's post with like different hearts approving of it. I'm, sorry. I just think that is all intentional. It's almost a way to punish Ashley and to show like, you're not really a part of this. And from other reporting I've seen May Musk and Ashley have met before, but May Musk has never had any interaction with their child, their apparent child. Again, we don't have yet verification of it, but we also don't have denial. Elon Musk posted this
Starting point is 00:49:34 yesterday at 3.15 a.m. For some reason, I find the history of Genghis Khan particularly interesting, winky face, and then he links to a podcast. Now, Genghis Khan was a 12th century Mongol ruler who had hundreds of children. This was part of his conquering tactic. According to a 2003 study by genetic literary project, there is evidence that Genghis Khan's DNA was present in about 16 million men alive at the time. What? That is so, that's crazy. That is crazy. So anyway, I don't know. I guess that he is kind of flippantly and jokingly being like, yeah, I'm 53 years old, but I'm still sowing my wild oats and inseminating and impregnating as many women as possible like Genghis Khan, which is strange. It's just a strange hero
Starting point is 00:50:34 to have. Now, let's look at some prior interaction between Ashley and Elon. This one I think is particularly relevant to this conversation. Ashley said there's no sin as cruel as alienating a child from a parent, seeing so much of this everywhere. This is last year. Actually, like, it would be while she was pregnant. So this is the end of July. And Elon Musk said, yeah. And Ashley St. Clair said, it must stop. This almost is like the question, is it is this all a patriarchy Hannah thing? Like are we all being trolled? Are we all being duped here?
Starting point is 00:51:11 Now let's get into congratulations gate because I don't have any more details on what's happening with Ashley or what's going to happen with Ashley. I will give more of like my personal thoughts on this. And we have to start with the congratulations because this is a debate. And I do think it's important because I like thinking through Christian ethics and like what is the right thing to do and how do we balance the truth and standing firm in the truth and showing compassion and love because every single person involved in the story is made in the image of God. We want every single person involved in the story to be redeemed and to know that they are loved by God, that they were beautifully and wonderfully made, that they have value, that they have purpose, that they will never understand that purpose outside of their creator, that Christ died for them, that Elon Musk, like, the true measure of a man is Christ and it's not conquering in women. It's not being a one-man show trying to repopulate the earth. That's not it. Like you are not God. You are not God.
Starting point is 00:52:12 And so I want those kinds of good things for every single person involved. And of course, I really want the protection of this baby. And that's really like where my heart is. I think about this like helpless child in the midst of all of this that I truly believe was perfect. purposely created to be fatherless. And that is, that's my thing here. Knowing what I know about Elon Musk, both what he said publicly and what I have heard privately on really good authority is that like he is out to create as many children as possible that he has offered to give his sperm to quite a few women so that they
Starting point is 00:52:51 can use it via IVF to have children simply because there should be more babies. And so I don't believe that this was a mistake. Like, I don't believe that the richest, most powerful man in the world got caught up in the heat of the moment with a conservative commentator and said, whoops, I forgot a condom. I'm sorry, I don't buy that. I don't buy that narrative. I think that this was a purposeful creation of a child. And as I've said, when I am talking about IVF and surrogacy when it comes to gay couples, when I talk about sperm donation or egg donation for any kind of couple, the intentional creation. of a motherless or fatherless child is cruel. It is wrong. The baby is the victim of that.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Now, that doesn't mean that I am trying to heap coals on people who find themselves in that situation, like as a single mother. I understand there are some circumstances that are different than others, but in this one, it does seem intentional. And so when Ashley announced this, There were a lot of people who congratulated, a lot of conservatives and Christians who congratulated her. It's like, congratulations, enjoy this time with your baby. Other people didn't say congratulations, but they simply said, you know, like praying for you or, gosh, journalists or, you know, the worst or whatever. And obviously I agree with some of those sentiments. I did not say congratulations.
Starting point is 00:54:24 And I stand by not saying congratulations. One, there are a few reasons for this. Like one, I don't really know Ashley. Like, I don't think that we are obligated to say congratulations to every single person on the internet. But number two, the tone of her announcement did not seem celebratory. And so a response of congratulations just didn't seem appropriate. It just seemed like a mismatch of tone. But also, it almost seemed to me like it would be an endorsement of or,
Starting point is 00:54:59 at least in ignoring of the circumstances in which this baby, I believe, was very purposely created. And I did not congratulate, for example, Dave Rubin and his partner when he announced that they were welcoming two babies via surrogate and actually explained my reasoning at the time as gently as I possibly could. But I also wanted to explain it because I felt like it would help Christians think through this. And it's not because these babies are any less valuable.
Starting point is 00:55:31 It's not even because any of these people are bad parents and don't love their kids. It is because, again, I cannot be a part of the celebration of the intentional creation of a motherless or fatherless child or the purposeful breaking of the natural process of conception and gestation, which I believe babies have to pay the price for. It does not mean that I don't value that child because, of course, I absolutely do. But there are different responses that I would give than congratulations in the midst of something like this. I said this on X, which a lot of people were very angry about. I said, if a friend told me she's pregnant out of wedlock, particularly with a guy she barely knows, my response would be, wow, thank you for telling me. I'll be with you every step of the way. You want to meet up so we can talk?
Starting point is 00:56:26 Saying congratulations in that scenario just doesn't seem right in light of what I believe about marriage and family. Now, based on some of the responses to me, you would have thought that I suggested that you, I don't know, flick the person in the forehead, kick her in the shins and run away and say, I'm never supporting you. Like you would have thought that I suggested some kind of callousness or cruelty toward this person. And there were people saying, like, well, a mom is still a mom, no matter what, she's still a mom. Okay. There were people saying we shouldn't keep judgment on someone. Okay. I never said that.
Starting point is 00:57:02 Here's an unofficial sign of intelligence. Can you respond to the actual argument that is being made? If you can't and you decide to come up with like a new argument that is not being made and come up with a response to this non-existent argument, okay, then you've completely lost the plot. Then we're not even having a conversation anymore. You're having a conversation with yourself. So I just suggested support and love, but not congratulations. However, I always, like you can trust that I'm always going back and forth with my own self in my head.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Like I'm always playing devil's advocate for my own arguments. I am arguing with myself. I'm picking holes in my argument. I'm trying to see the exceptions to my argument. And so I did read some of the replies. Some of the replies were disagreeing, but totally respectful. And I always appreciate that. And I heard some people's stories about how they got pregnant out of wedlock and they were so
Starting point is 00:57:51 thankful when people congratulated them because it made them feel excited and not alone and not scared anymore. But then I also heard from women in my own following. I had a woman reach out to me and say she got pregnant out of wedlock and it was a really, really sad situation. And she kept the baby. And it always felt really weird when people congratulated her right after she got pregnant and announced it. She said, it just didn't feel appropriate at the time. She said, now I've given birth
Starting point is 00:58:20 and, like, it does feel more appropriate now, but it felt weird at the time when people congratulated. And I understand Ashley, like, has already had the baby. I'm just giving, like, an analogous scenario in which I would know a friend who told me something. If I had a friend, it'd be weird if I didn't know that she was, like, had been pregnant and given birth. So I started thinking about this and going back and forth in light of like some of the testimonies that were given to me. And really like my thought is on congratulations is that it really depends. Like it really depends. It really depends on the relationship.
Starting point is 00:58:59 It really depends on the tone of like the announcement. I think it depends on the circumstances. For example, like if you had a friend who had been raped and that's how the baby had been conceived and then they told you you're pregnant, you probably wouldn't say congratulations. You would say, wow, this baby is made in the image of God. And God has a plan for you. God has a plan for this baby.
Starting point is 00:59:23 And I will be with you every step of the way. Don't you worry about anything because I am here. And if you want to bring more people into help, we can do that. We don't have to. But I am here for you, girl. Like there are just different circumstances that solicit different kinds of responses. To me, this Ashley St. Clair situation did not feel like a situation.
Starting point is 00:59:42 in which congratulations would be appropriate. Again, other things. Like if I knew that a woman had welcomed a baby via surrogacy, while that baby is a blessing, I don't agree with the purposeful brokenness that was caused by taking this baby away from the only home and woman that he has ever known in the primal wound that is purposely being caused there
Starting point is 01:00:07 that was intended to be caused there when that baby was conceived. And in this situation, I think that there was an, intended brokenness before this baby was actually conceived. And so I just couldn't be a part of any kind of celebration of that, even though I truly, again, wish the best for this child and wish the best for Ashley. Like, I really am sad that she probably is going through and has gone through so much turmoil over the past few months. I don't know if she realizes that she made a mistake. if this was an error, I don't know. But gosh, I just hope that she knows that no one is ever too far gone, that you are never
Starting point is 01:00:48 past the point of redemption. I know her caption was past the point of no return, but spiritually there's no such thing. And that God can always save you. And of course, that's true for Elon Musk. And I just, like, hope for her protection. But I also think it's a lesson for all of us. It's a lesson to remember. I got asked on Alex Clark's podcast a few months ago, like, what's one thing you would change in our culture?
Starting point is 01:01:12 And I said, if there's one thing I could change overnight, it would be that sex only exists within marriage. That wouldn't fix everything, but it would fix a lot. Like, think about the reduction of STDs, of any kind of sexual abuse, of unwanted pregnancies, of broken hearts and broken bodies. like if every, every single person on earth only had sex and only had sexual contact within marriage, like think about the lives and the innocence that would be protected. There would be no pornography, again, no trafficking, no child sex trafficking. Like, think about how many huge issues would be solved and how many kids would be provided with the stable home that they deserve. of 2019, 2020, Ashley St. Clair was absolutely correct. Like, kids need a stable home.
Starting point is 01:02:08 They need stable parents. They need a mom and a dad. And so I just, I have, again, just so many thoughts about all of this. And I appreciate those who said, you know, it's okay to go back and forth when you're talking about, like, should we congratulate? when should we congratulate? I don't regret my decision when it comes to like Ashley St. Clair or Dave Rubin. I know there are two different situations. I still think it's possible to show love and support.
Starting point is 01:02:41 But I also understand my friends who are sincerely pro-life, totally Christian. They do not believe in premarital sex or anything like that who do think that it's better to congratulate on the existence of the baby. And I totally understand that. And again, I think it depends. I just think it depends. Got a couple more thoughts on this debate in just a second. Let me tell you about our last sponsor for the day.

Starting point is 01:03:36 promo code alley switch to patron mobile today defend freedom with every call and text you make visit patriot mobile.com slash alley so some people were saying a take that I really disagree with and that was like if you don't congratulate then you are pro abortion or like aren't we pro life so that means we should congratulate people are really confused about what it means to be pro life man people are really confused. I've had some people on this show say you have to be pro surrogacy, pro IVF, pro, you know, two men or two women using like a sperm seller or egg seller because you're pro life. Pro life does not mean you approve of every circumstance of conception. Like being pro life doesn't mean we agree with all methods of making a baby. We just don't
Starting point is 01:04:24 believe in killing existing babies. We actually think that the pro life cause even extends to those embryos that are created and so often destroyed through things like the IVF process. And so this idea that you have to be okay with, it wasn't even just congratuled, but be okay with Ashley Sinclair and Elon Musk like making this baby or how Elon Musk is made all of these babies or else you're not pro-life. I'm just not buying it. I'm sorry, I'm just not buying it. There were a lot of replies under her tweet saying, yay, more based babies. We need more babies. This is awesome. C.J. Pearson, he said, I see far too many self-righteous and tired individuals pouncing on St. Clair Ashley for having a shot out of wedlock instead of commending her for choosing life. Okay, can I just say something to this?
Starting point is 01:05:10 This is not a crisis pregnancy. Okay. She has a baby, supposedly, with the richest most powerful man in the world. This was not a situation in which it was like, oh my gosh, whoops. I don't think. It does not appear that way from everything that we know. Okay. I think that this was, again, intentional. I don't think that she was at risk of aborting her baby. And also, like, of course, we want everyone to choose life and I believe and doing everything we can to help people choose life. But if that is the bar, if that's the bar that at least the child wasn't murdered, then the bar for any kind of morality is on the floor, maybe even below that. So I just don't think that's a, I don't think that's a good argument. We can love all babies, know that all.
Starting point is 01:06:00 babies are of equal value made in the image of God and still not endorse every circumstance of conception. How babies are made in addition to how they are raised and how they are treated actually matters if we want to be truly thoughtful pro-lifers. And I know my friends, some of who congratulated and some of whom didn't, like we all agree on that, even if we didn't agree on this particular congratulations. But to those who think we should just endorse every kind of baby making, I'm just not there. Christians, you know, we're against the world and we have a responsibility to think a lot harder than everyone else.
Starting point is 01:06:38 And that means that sometimes we are not going to be understood, but we believe that like love is a verb. It's not just some kind of like, you know, trite well wish. Like it is something that we actually do and that we show up and support these women who are in need. So again, just to end this, it's kind of appropriate. make sure that you go to that link in my description of this episode and donate to the Pregnancy Center in honor of my birthday.
Starting point is 01:07:07 All right, that's the breakdown that we've got for you today. We'll be back here tomorrow.
