Hey, guys, welcome to relatable.
Happy Thursday.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.
I know that you've had replays the past couple days and nothing new to watch on YouTube or Spotify.
However, we are back with a new episode today.
and if you didn't catch my Instagram story, you might be a little confused because I promised on Tuesday that we would have the Nicole Shanahan interview on Wednesday, but it just was a little bit more technologically involved to put together this episode with the files that we have.
And so we're just giving ourselves a little bit more time.
So we're putting it out on Monday.
And guys, this is an interview that you don't want to miss.
producer, Bree and I traveled to California to have this sit-down interview. She talks about things
she has never shared before. It was at times an emotional conversation. It was a fascinating
and revelatory conversation about the machine that is Silicon Valley politics and how she was
inundated and progressive politics herself. And she has had an awakening. We talk about the different
things that led to that. It was an hour and a half conversation. It could have been three hours. There are
going to be things that you are shocked by, but also things that she'll be like, wait,
why didn't you ask this? Why didn't you go there? I had a list of questions that we didn't get to
because everything that we did talk about was just so, like so deep and so much. And so we'll have
to do a part two at some point where I ask all of the other questions that I had. She is a fascinating,
very smart, very just lovely person. And you guys are going to learn a lot. And I just think really like
and appreciate Monday's episode. And so I'm super, super excited for you to watch and listen to it.
Make sure that you look out for that. Okay, excuse me, before we get into the topics for today,
I just want to remind you guys, since I haven't been able to do that for the past couple of days,
about Share the Arrow's 2020, 2025, Dallas, Texas, October 11th. This is a women's conference,
a Christian women's conference. And I am waiting. I have, like, I have the speaker lineup, but I
I am waiting for the final signature of one of the speakers, and I would like to announce them all
at the same time.
Guys, it's going to be absolutely incredible.
I am so excited about the worship, about the teaching.
It's going to be hard hitting and challenging and theologically deep.
And I'm just pumped about it.
And so go to share the arrows.com and get your tickets today.
Bring your small group.
Bring your sisters and your friends, your mother, your mother-in-law, all the women in your
life, bring them to Share the Arrows, October 11th. Go ahead and get those tickets, get the flights,
get the hotels, so you can get the best deal on all of them. That is share the arrows.com.
All right. Let's get into all of the things we've got to cover today. It's a lot, especially since
over the past two days I haven't been able to talk about anything. There's just so much that I want
to pack into this one episode. But first, I want to start on a god glorifying, beautiful light
hearted note. I guess it's kind of lighthearted. It's also a little sad. I guess you could call it
Bittersweet. The astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Sunni Williams that were stranded in space for nine
months. Like a whole baby was like gestated during the time that they were not actually, but I'm just
saying like there were babies here on earth that were like created and birth during the time that
they were stranded in outer space. That's got to be like one.
one of the scariest situations. I had like a full body scan the other day. I've talked about it before.
My pernuvos scan. It's like a magnetic scan for your body. And I towards the very end got really
claustrophobic. And I would have said that I am not claustrophobic that that kind of thing
doesn't freak me out at all. At the very end, I kind of freaked out. And I was like, if you don't
let me out of here, I am going to break this thing. It's crazy how your mind just starts
playing tricks on you, it becomes completely illogical, which is why it's called a phobia.
I cannot imagine these people and the mental toughness and the endurance that they had to have
in order to stay alive and to not know if they will ever see their families again, if they will
ever be released from this small space. It's not like you can just go out and get some fresh air.
And to just know that you could be trapped there indefinitely, how did they not go insane?
there for more than 280 days, stuck at the International Space Station prior to beginning their
descent back to Earth because they did make it back, thanks to Elon Musk and Donald Trump,
something that Joe Biden could and would not do, according to Elon Musk.
President Biden refused to do what needed to be done to bring them back.
There was a new spaceship that went up there with new people to do their job up at the
International Space Station and then that shuttle like took them back down to Earth. And so after the
new people got up there, CBS managed to interview them. Okay. So these people are in space and CBS
is interviewing them, which is amazing. Like I can't even get Wi-Fi in some places in like the
middle of a city and we have the technology to interview people from space. It's crazy. So CBS interviewed
these people from space before they came back down to America after their rescuers had gotten there.
And here was the response of Captain Butch Wilmore, Saut one.
My feeling on all of this goes back to my faith.
It's bound in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is working out his plan and his purposes for his glory throughout all of humanity.
And how that plays into our lives is significant and important.
And however that plays out, and I am content.
intent because I understand that. I understand that he's at work in all things. Some things are for the
good. Go to Hebrews chapter 11. Some things look to us to be not so good, but it's all working out
for his good for those that that will believe. And that's the answer. So thanks for asking.
I just love that so much. I mean, I guess we have the answer to how he was able to maintain his
peace and his sanity and his stability while he was there potentially abandoned. I mean,
He believes that God is working all things together for his good.
And he took this opportunity to give glory to God and to share the gospel.
You can tell that's a good Southern man right there.
Butch Wilmore is it like a perfect astronaut name?
Don't ask me why it just is.
And I'm just so thankful for that.
So thank you to Butch for, to Captain Wilmore, for giving glory to God.
And thank God for how he orchestrated their saving in the physical sense.
I want to play you a video of them arriving back on Earth and their little shuttle,
if that's the proper term, their space pod in the Gulf of America, literally greeted by a pod of dolphins.
It's really sweet. Here it is.
Earlier we saw that person performing safety checks.
Now we can see some harnessing being placed around the capsule.
This harnessing is what will be used to lift the dragon capsule out of the water and onto the recovery vessel.
Wow, we got a cute little pot of dolphins. It wasn't just one or two.
Okay. I mean, that's just incredible. Like, it looks like there's a rainbow. There's literally dolphins greeting them back.
I think that is even orchestrated by the Lord. Of course it is. And just to like a really sweet moment.
And again, just to reiterate, this did become political.
like many things that we've realized over the past couple of months since President Trump has gotten in office that much of what was not happening under the Biden administration was not inevitable or what was happening under the Biden administration.
It was not inevitable.
They were the results of specific choices by the Biden administration.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said in a March interview with Joe Rogan that he told then President Biden, so this is several months ago,
when Biden was president, that space X could bring the astronauts home, but Biden refused.
Butch Wilmore was asked in an interview from the International Space Station in March about Musk's claim.
And he said that Musk's statements are factual. He didn't know much else besides that.
But of course, now because of Space X, this is Space X dragon, because of the effort to the Trump administration, they are back home.
So just praise God for that.
I am sure that their families are just so thrilled.
I can't imagine the joy that they're feeling right now.
So praise the Lord for that.
All right, we've got a much less light,
hard story to get to, but very important in just a second.
Let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day.
That's Adele Natural Cosmetics, y'all.
I love Adele Natural Cosmetics.
I always tell you that I'm using their skincare every day.
That is true.
I use their essential cleanser,
even when I've got my studio makeup on, which is a little heavier, I use their essential
cleanser, and I feel like my skin is not only totally clean after I use it. It's not this, you know,
sudsy kind of like soapy cleanser. It's oil-based. It feels like olive oil. I feel like my skin is
totally clean, but also just really moisturized and glowing. But you know one product that I don't talk
about or haven't talked about as much, but I use every week is their exfoliant. So it looks like
red clay and it smells like coffee. It really wakes up your skin.
I don't exfoliate that often because my skin is sensitive, but when I, especially like after
I travel and I just feel like I need a new layer of fresh skin, I use their exfoliant and it works
really well.
Like everything Adele Natural Cosmetics makes, it is truly holistic, all natural ingredients,
nothing fake, nothing synthetic, everything from God's medicine cabinet.
That includes their makeup.
I use their moisturizing foundation, their blush.
It's all really good. Plus, this is a Christian family-owned company. They make all of their products by hand. It's just a win all around to support them. Go to Adele Natural Cosmetics.com. Use code Alley for 25% off your first time purchase. That's adele natural cosmetics.com code Alley.
Several months ago, we talked about longtime pastor of a huge megachurch outside of Dallas Gateway Church, whose name is Robert Morris.
being accused of the routine sexual assault of a child in the 1980s. The woman is named Cindy,
and she came forward not only with these allegations, but with receipts of trying to confront the Morrises, of trying to tell her story and routinely being silenced in a variety of ways, including through a non-disclosure agreement.
And now he has been, Robert Morris, has officially been charged with five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
Morris formally pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday and was released on a $50,000 bond.
And that happened in the state of Oklahoma where the crimes had originally taken place.
So a little bit more on the background.
Last June, 54-year-old Cindy Clemshire reported that she had been sexually abused over multiple years in the 1980s by Morris.
He was a young, married, traveling evangelist at the time.
Cindy's parents trusted him, allowed him into their home.
He would stay there with his wife, and Cindy claimed that he would sneak into his room or her room, rather,
and that he would sexually molest her.
At the age of 16, after over four years of abuse,
so she claims this started when she was just 12.
Cindy confided in a close friend who encouraged her to tell her family.
And so she did tell her father, her father confronted Morris and said,
you know, if you don't get away from us and step down here,
we're going to do something else about this.
Of course, the right response would have.
have been right there to go to local authorities because at that point that's outside of just
church jurisdiction, that is civil authorities' responsibility to punish evil. Morris stepped
away from the ministry for just two years. He eventually wanted to go back to pastoring.
During this time, Cindy said that she received a call from Debbie Morris, Robert's wife,
who told Cindy that she forgave her. Now, remember Cindy, according to her own story, was not asking for
forgiveness. Debbie Morris, it seems, kind of called her out of the blue just to say, hey, just so you know,
we forgive you for this accusation. Cindy had been talking about the abuse within her own personal
circle, her friends for years. So there are friends who say, yeah, Cindy did tell us about this
at the time. This isn't just randomly coming up now. She actually tried to sue Morris in 2005,
but her actions did not generate much attention at the time. She has,
obtained an attorney to file a civil lawsuit against Morris. Morris's attorney implied in response
to that that they believed it was her fault, Cindy's fault, for being quote-unquote flirtatious.
At that time, they tried to offer her $25,000 to not talk about it. She refused. She then decided
again last June to come forward publicly at the urging of her pastor, who was,
also the friend of the editor of an outlet called the Wartberg Watch. So that's who broke this story
again in June. After the story broke last June 14th, Robert Morrison Gateway Church release
statements that minimized Morris's abuse is the sexual sins of a young man who has since
repented. Neither mentioned that the girl in question was actually a minor. They say this was
sexual behavior with a young lady. This is what they said in the statement. No, a 12-year-old is not a
young lady that is a child that is being molested. It doesn't matter if the person says, oh, well,
this person consented, a minor cannot consent no matter what they verbally say. The elders of Gateway
Church said that Pastor Robert has been open and forthright about a moral failure he had over 35
years ago. So the inclusion of that phrase over 35 years ago is supposed to imply this was a long time ago.
It doesn't matter. But of course, it does matter, especially when justice has not been carried out.
Neither statement, again, was entirely true. Cindy responded to this via the Christian post. She said that she was
appalled that Morris referred to her as a young lady. She said, I was a little girl, a very innocent
little girl. And she also said that the lie was that it was just kissing. It was just that they were
behaving inappropriately together. But she says, he says there was no sexual intercourse, but he did
touch every part of my body. And this is graphic. I'm just warning you. He said he inserted his
fingers into me, which I understand now is considered a form of rape by instrumentation. I was an innocent
12-year-old little girl who knew nothing about sexual behavior. I mean, that is just absolutely abhorrent.
Yes, that is a crime that should put you in jail. Obviously, that disqualifies you from ministry forever.
Particularly when you are in a pastoral position, a professing Christian, when you are molesting a child,
you should be nowhere near a pulpit. And anyone who says, well, look at the ministry he created and the lives that he reached and all of the people,
people who heard about the good news of Jesus and who were helped by Gateway Church. Look,
God works despite the evil of man, not because of it. That points to God's goodness and God's power.
If indeed people truly heard the gospel through anything that Robert Morris was saying or
believing or building at the time or leading at the time, God is really, really faithful.
That does not mean that he approves of Robert Morris's behavior, that he has forgotten.
about it. In fact, he says that vengeance is mine, says the Lord, I will repay. And I believe that
his wrath was kindling towards this act and that this justice, this finding out of Robert
Morris is not just justice and faithfulness to Cindy, who I understand is still, you know,
still is a Christian. Thank the Lord for that. But also truly a grace to Robert Morris,
Sometimes the most gracious thing that God can do is allow you to be found out for your sin.
Because that hiding creates a callousness in you, creates a separation between you and God.
And it is through God's mercy and even his love for the perpetrator of this awful abuse.
Robert Morris, that he said, you are no longer going to be in hiding and far from me,
but I am going to bring you to a place of total devastation and vulnerability in the hopes.
that you will truly repent.
And I don't know if that's where Robert Morris is, but I pray to God that it is.
I pray for repentance for everyone, period.
Even for someone who committed such an evil act, like the best form of justice in addition
to the civil justice is also that he realizes the severity not only of his sin 35 years ago,
but the sin of being a fake shepherd, the sin of living a lie.
Now, thankfully, he did resign from Gateway Church on June 18th after the report was published.
At the time, the church claimed that Morris had not revealed that it was a little girl.
So they made their original statements when everyone, understandably, was up in arms.
Like really a young lady, sexual sin that happened 35 years ago.
That's how you guys are handling child molestation.
They changed course and they said, oh, wait, we didn't know that it was a child.
which doesn't necessarily seem true.
And then he resigned.
Now, I'm glad that he resigned.
It is reported by the Christian post
that Gateway Church subsequently authorized
an independent investigation
into the allegations against Morris.
And last November, the results showed
that there were elders and employees at Gateway
who did know about Cindy's young age
before the report detailing her abuse went public.
These elders were also removed from the church,
praise God.
And I do pray, I pray for gateway. Gosh, I pray for every single believer that has ever been a part of that church.
Like, when you trust whether it's, no matter what pastor it is, and we talked about a lot of pastors who have failed in different ways recently, that is really rocking for your faith.
It really is. And thank the Lord that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
but you understand how that can be really difficult for someone especially who may be a new
Christian who looked up to someone as a spiritual mentor and you're thinking if you don't even get it,
how can I get it?
And of course we have so much grace and we preach the gospel over and over again to ourselves
and to those people, but have compassion for people who are rocked by things like this,
because this is really tough.
This is really tough.
So pray for Gateway Church that they would have a leadership in,
elders and a pastor who believe truly in the gospel, who are living that out in every area of their
lives. To have integrity means to have your life integrated. So all different parts of your life
are integrated in the gospel of Christ. There's no part over here that is like secret sin that
you allow to fester because that's how Satan creates a foothold. And then he's used this to try to
shipwreck the faith of people, to try to test people's belief not in Robert Morris, but in God
himself. And we know that the gates of hell won't prevail against the church, and we're thankful for
that. But we got to pray for this local church, too. They would put good leadership in charge,
who believe in the gospel, preach the gospel, who believe in the authority of God's word,
and live those integrated lives. All right, we've got more new information about this in just a second,
but we've got quite a few ads to get to today. Since we didn't have new episodes for the past
couple days we've got more than usual. Let me pause and tell you about our second one.
It's WeHeart Nutrition. You all know how much I love WeHeart Nutrition. You know that
WeHeart Nutrition gives back a percentage of their sales to pregnancy care centers across the
country. They have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for these pregnancy care centers
and they just do such an amazing job. They just introduced this new product that I'm super excited
about that they're calling the Swiss Army knife for women's hormones. Honestly, that's the
perfect way to describe their wholesome balance product. I haven't tried this yet. I'm really excited.
I've just been thinking recently how I feel like my hormones are kind of out of whack right now
randomly and I need some help with that. So I'm pumped about this. They formulated it using
clinically backed ingredients that do so much for women's health. It has things like saffron,
ginger, curcumin, and key B vitamins, all in recent.
research supported doses so that your body can actually absorb it. If you struggle with PMS
symptoms, if you're pregnant, fighting morning sickness, if you're in paramedipause, you need this.
I'll try it and I will give you my honest assessment if it's helped me. I'll give it three months
and I'll give you my honest assessment for how I feel it's helped me. Go to weheartnutrition.com.
Grab your first bottle of wholesome balance. Use code Alley for 20% off. Weheartnutrition.com
code alley. So in Oklahoma, he was indicted, Morris was indicted last week on five counts of
Luder and Decent Acts with a child by a multi-county grand jury in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma
Attorney General's office noted that the statute of limitations is not applicable to the
charges against Morris. Again, thank God for that. He said Oklahoma or the Oklahoma Attorney
General said that Oklahoma and other frontier states have a provision in their laws that allows
them to pause the statute of limitations. So statute of limitations says, okay, after a certain
point, someone can't be charged for a crime that they committed, but it doesn't apply to all
crimes. So they're saying when it comes to a crime like this, sexual assault of the child,
that statute of limitations does not apply, even though it was 35 years ago, he can obviously
still be charged. I think that's really good. Since Morris was a trap,
traveling evangelist who did not reside in Oklahoma when he is alleged to have committed the crimes
Drummond, the attorney general, and his prosecutors argue that there was a pause on the statute of
limitations. Okay. So that changes what I said just a little bit. So it does have to do with the crime,
but it also just has to do with the fact that the statute of limitations doesn't apply here because
he was not actually a resident of Oklahoma. He was traveling around. And so that changes the policy
around the statute of limitations.
Arrest documents show that Morris was formally booked by the Osage County Sheriff's Office
in Oklahoma at 7.57 a.m. last Monday was released minutes later on bond.
Morris is set to appear in court on May 9th.
He faces a possible 100 years maximum in prison if he is convicted on all five counts
of lewd or indecent acts with a child and a judge orders sentences to be served consecutively.
He could also be sentenced to as little as five years in prison if convicted on all five counts due to the law that was in effect for the crime more than 35 years ago.
So that's quite a wide range.
Quite a wide range.
The Oklahoma's office of the Attorney General told the Christian Post, at the time of the abuse, the range of punishment was one to 20 years in prison.
The additional restrictions based on the victim's age were not in effect in the law at the time of Morris's alleged crime.
So one to 20 years, the reason why the lowest he could be sentenced, the lowest amount of time he could be sentenced to is because there's five counts.
That would be one year for each count if he is charged with all five.
So he could be, I guess theoretically, if he was found not guilty in all of these, he could spend no time in jail or he could spend just one year in jail if he is only convicted, found guilty of one of these charges.
But if he's found guilty of all five, minimum five years, up to 100 years in prison, again, the math works out.
Because if the maximum 35 years ago was 20 years for these charges, then five times 20 is 100.
So I doubt that he will get 100 years in prison.
But he does deserve to go to prison.
He absolutely does.
Just because something was a long time ago doesn't mean that justice should not be served.
The government, as instituted by God, we read in Romans 13, is to execute justice against the wrongdoer.
It's to punish evil and to reward good. So this, again, is under the jurisdiction of the government, not just the local church and what is being done here is right.
Gateway Church released this statement after the indictment.
We are aware of the actions being taken by the legal authorities in Oklahoma.
are grateful for the work of the justice system in holding abusers accountable for their actions.
We continue to pray for Cindy Clemishire and her family, for the members and staff of Gateway
Church, and for all of those impacted by this terrible situation. Well, that's much better response
than they initially had. Cindy Clemishire shared her story in front of lawmakers at the Texas
state capital yesterday. Clemishire testified in favor of a Texas bill that would eliminate
NDA agreements for survivors of sexual abuse and civil court agreements about 18 years ago.
Clemishires, we already noted, said Morris offered her a settlement. If she signed an NDA,
she declined. She said, I would never sign anything that gave my rights away to share my story.
But other people are in more vulnerable situations. And really, an NDA should not apply.
Like if someone was sexually abused, even if they signed an NDA and they come forward, they shouldn't be.
and you can do that, but there is risk.
There is potential risk there of coming forward.
And she's saying there should be no risk whatsoever for someone to come forward with that kind of information.
When asked about Morris's not guilty plea, because he did plea not guilty to all of these charges,
Clemishire told the Christian Post, it did not surprise me.
It is my understanding.
Any attorney would advise their client to plead not guilty.
It gives the criminal the.
opportunity to negotiate a plea. So the person D. Parsons, who originally reported on this for
Warburg Watch, said, Gateway Church founder Robert Morris surrenders expects a plea not guilty.
And this person says, if he pleads not guilty, we will know exactly how he treats the truth.
Well, I don't think that was ever up for debate. I think that we were all aware of how he treated the
truth, the fact that he kept this a secret for 35 years and continue to be in pastoral leadership.
So again, continue to pray for all of them, continue to pray for this entire situation for Cindy,
her family living with this pain for so long, and just pray that they would trust in the saving
grace of Jesus and the faithfulness of Jesus, including Robert Morris, including his entire
family who has been affected by this.
That's what we want.
We want whatever Satan means for evil to be redeemed and turned for good.
And God is in the business of redemption.
And his eternal plan of redemption is always going off without a hitch.
He knows who his sheep are.
He knows who his people are.
There's nothing that can thwart his will, Job 42, too.
And we just have to trust in the power and the sovereignty and the goodness, the mercy, the faithfulness of God.
Okay.
Before we get into the rest of that, I have to take another quick pause to get another add-in.
And that is pre-born.
y'all I love preborn this is a network of pro-life clinics across the country that is saving baby lives
let me tell you this story this is the story of a real client at a pre-born pregnancy center
natty was in a really tough situation she wasn't sure who the father of her child was but after
receiving counseling prayer a free ultrasound at a preborn network clinic everything changed
she discovered that not only was she pregnant but she was actually pregnant
with twins and she found the strength that she needed to choose life. And so instead of feeling like
she was alone and in a desperate situation, she was given the information that she needed,
the strength, the hope that she needed to keep her babies and parent her children. And
that's what your donations are doing. You are paying for the cost of an ultrasound. You are paying
for the cost of these facilities that translates into these women getting the help that they need.

Like they are really not alone.
That makes a difference not just here, but also in eternity.
Your tax deductible donation of just $28 sponsors one ultrasound.

All right.
Let's move on to this Daily Wire story.
So this was a big story this week.
Another big media shakeup in the conservative world.
And that is that Jeremy Boring, the co-founder and co-CEO of the Daily Wire,
is stepping down.
down from his role. He says to focus on creative projects for the company. He told staff in a memo
that was reported first by Axios this week. So Axios got the exclusive on this. Axios has done a lot
of exclusive reporting for the Daily Wire. So a little bit of background before I get into kind of what
it seems like happened. Boring founded the Daily Wire in 2015 alongside Ben Shapiro and Caleb Robinson.
Robinson and Boring have been co-CEOES since 2019.
He will take over, according to Axios, as the one and only CEO effective immediately.
The memo says the reporting by Axios says that Boring will remain with the company in an advisory role will focus on creative projects full time, including the Daily Wire TV series, The Pindragon Cycle.
He is the director and executive producer of that.
Boring said this in a statement when Ben Caleb and I founded the Daily Wire in 2015, we set out to build an institution.
I'm enormously proud of our team, our many battles, and of the successes we have achieved together.
To get us to the heights we know we can achieve, we have brought in a world-class executive team that I am confident will thrive in taking us to the next level under Caleb's ongoing leadership,
while I turn my full attention to creative and entertainment ventures for the company,
he will apparently still be a part of Daily Wire backstage, which is a show that they do
together with Ben and Matt and Michael Knowles and Andrew Clavin. Ben Shapiro and Caleb Robinson
gave their own statements to the Daily Wire, but have not posted about the change on X.
Bench Piro says Jeremy's hard work and brilliant leadership have been indispensable to the growth of
this company from an idea to the largest conservative digital media company in the country.
And then the last line, he says, we can't wait to see what he does next.
It's interesting.
And then Caleb Robinson, he said, we couldn't be more excited for this next phase of Daily Wire's growth.
And for Jeremy, as he pursues the completion of PIN Dragon and then moves
on to work with us on further important creative endeavors.
Okay, so this is kind of a big shakeup for all the reasons that were just listed.
Daily Wire is huge.
I am a huge Daily Wire fan, have been a big Daily Wire fan for a long time.
I was listening to and reading Ben Shapiro far before I even started writing about
conservative politics, talking about it, posting on social media.
I am still a fan of Ben Shapiro and I'm very just so thankful for the work that Daily Wire has contributed to the conservative space and how they have led in so many ways.
And the conservative space, I have known a lot of the people there for a long time.
And what I think is, I think that there are a lot of things probably going on here that I could speculate.
but as I like to do, I just like to look at what is actually being said.
And you guys know I'm interested in PR and PR statements and why words are chosen as they are chosen.
And when you read a lot of press releases and you read a lot of reports about big transitions like this,
you start to pick up on certain patterns and you're able to better interpret them.
I think as he stepped down as CEO and he is taking on what they are calling an advisory role,
I personally think that he will fully transition out of the company altogether.
I think that that is language chosen to try to demonstrate that this is a friendly transition
and that this is not some kind of hostile takeover.
I think that's what they are trying to communicate to the public.
What an advisory role is is up for debate. It's vague terminology that is kind of, again, I think,
intentionally used to communicate a PR message. And the reality is we don't know what really went on
and why we know that they are bringing in a lot of revenue from different revenue sources
and a lot of very successful and wonderful creative endeavors. We don't really know what the
profits were. Revenue and profit, two very different things. What we know is that there were two
very profitable shows that ended over the past year. We've got Candice Owens, very profitable
shell. And we've got Brett Cooper, very profitable show. People who built their brands and
their audiences almost from scratch that I assume we're probably bringing in a lot of people
to the Daily Wire, a lot of money to the Daily Wire. And both of those shows ended in
different ways for different reasons. But I imagine that was a hit on Daily Wire and that they were
kind of looking at the lay of the land, looking at their profits and thinking, okay, we got to change
something, but we got to do something differently here. And yeah, I don't know. Obviously,
I don't know all of the details. And I will read you some of the responses of the people that
used to work there, but just as an outsider looking in, who only has a little bit of insight
into how all of this works, that is my assessment. Read it in between the lines on what's being
reported, the statements that are being made when I see that Ben Shapiro and his statement says,
I look forward to seeing what he does next. That indicates something for me. Because in the Axios report,
and even in what Caleb Robinson said, Jeremy Boring, it seems, was going to stay there.
He's going to stay there and he's going to do these creative projects with the Daily Wire.
And when Ben Shapiro says, well, I look forward to seeing what he does next?
I'm thinking, well, what do you mean?
You just said that he's going to, they just said that he's going to stay with the Daily Wire.
And so, I don't know, maybe I'm reading too far into that.
Maybe Ben simply means that they look forward to seeing what Jeremy does at Daily Wire.
To me, it seems like there is going to be probably a full departure sometime in the near future.
And I have no doubt that whatever those pursuits are outside of the Daily Wire for Jeremy, that he will be very
successful.
He's a creative guy.
He started from nothing, helped build this huge company.
He is really smart and really good at what he does.
And I think whatever he creates next will be really good.
And I also think that Daily Wire is going to continue to be successful.
You've got a lot of commentators out there saying this is the Daily Wire imploding.
No, I think that this is the Daily Wire adjusting and maybe rerouting a little bit so that they remain successful.
And I think they will.
I do.
I mean, they've still got really good talent there.
They lost two really big talents, but they've still got really good talent in people like Michael Knowles and Matt Walsh and many others there too.
So I think they'll be fine.
I think Jeremy Boring will be fine.
my guess is that it wasn't quite as friendly and as easy as it's being reported,
but any company would want to give that impression to the public.
So I don't blame anyone here.
But that's my assessment.
I'll get into what other people think in just a second.
Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.
And that is EveryLife.
I love EveryLife diapers.
We use them in our family and they work really well.
I just appreciate that all of the materials that are used in Every Life diapers are really clean.
they're really good for the skin.
I don't have to worry about them causing rashes and things like that.
It's totally clean and all of that good stuff that moms really care about.
But also, you want your diapers to work.
You don't want them to always be leaking and things like that.
And you don't have to worry about that either.
They're really effective.
And plus, I love the most that this is a pro-life diaper company.
Most diaper companies are actually taking your dollars,
donating them to abortion causes and pro-life.
abortion politicians, even plan parenthood, you don't want to be a part of that.
You want to support a company that is only supporting pro-life causes, are excited for the
adoptions, the pregnancies of their own employees, making sure that their employees who are
moms and dads are supported.
And that is every life.
Right now, they've got this amazing campaign going on where they are asking people to be
prayer partners with them and praying for more babies in 2025.
Timothy and I are a part of this.
Lots of other Christian couples are too.
Sadie Robertson, Huff, and her husband, Christian, Charlie, and Erica Kirk.
And many more, we are all praying for those of you who are trying to adopt,
trying to have children of your own.
Like, we want more Christian moms and dads having babies, and that's what we're praying for.
So join us.

We do know, as reported by Axios in December, that Daily Wire has said that they are open to buyers.
Axios asked the Daily Wire about a deal with Fox.
Boring said that the company isn't actively looking for a buyer, but we're not closed off to an offer.
It's easy to imagine a strategic partnership with Fox or someone like Fox.
He said that could be mutually beneficial.
So we don't know if something like that's going to happen.
That's kind of been in the talks for a really long time.
And I think that that's a smart statement by Jeremy Boring because you're always open to lucrative opportunities.
Of course, everyone's always open to lucrative opportunities, whether it's just an individual employee looking for better employment somewhere else, or whether it's the owner of a company who, you know, wants to make money and do things that make sense.
And so I don't know.
We don't know if that's going to happen or not, especially now that Jeremy is gone.
We just don't know everything about the plans.
Okay, Brett Cooper, you know, she left there just a few months ago.
She built this huge channel, the comment section that, I mean, had just incredible engagement.
She's got over a million followers on Instagram.
She is, I think, like the conservative voice for Gen Z.
She does such a good job.
And she was seen as just kind of like this breath of fresh air at Daily Wire because she was different than a lot of the guys there.
I mean, I love the commentary of the guys at Daily Wire.
Just like I'd been following Ben Shapiro, I've been following Matt Walsh, since before I was doing anything in conservative media.
I love all of them.
But she's different.
Like, she's a girl.
She's spunky.
She's probably not going to sit in like some dark den and smoke a cigar and talk about, I don't know, Kierkegaard.
And, I mean, maybe she will.
Sorry, Brett, if that's something that you like to do.
But she is just like, she's energetic.
She's got a fresh voice.
She talks about pop culture.
but she also talks about like deeper and more serious stuff.
And she's very likable.
She's very likable.
And that's how she's built like such a faithful audience.
And it just seemed like such a huge asset to the Daily Wire and a unique audience for
the Daily Wire.
Candice Owens too.
And I know they had like a whole different conflict, which we talked about at the time.
You should go back and listen to my like Christus King, Candice Owens episode that we did a year ago.
When she when she left, you can hear my assistant.
assessment of everything that went down then, but both of them. Unique audiences, more female
audiences. And Brett didn't really leave on good terms. Again, like you could go back. If you want to
try to understand what's really happening right now, I think a good idea would be to go back
and to watch her and Jeremy's response after she left the Daily Wire just a couple months ago.
And now to see this response, and we can put it up, she put this jiff of Jimmy Fallon.
She quote tweeted the Axios report that says that Daily Wire co-CEO, Jeremy Boring, to step down.
She posts this like, I don't know what you would call it, smirk, soft smile, kind of like, I'm happy about this jiff from Jimmy Fallon.
That was her response.
So that tells us right there that her leaving Daily Wire was not as friendly and as smooth as we were told it was at the time, which means that there's a lot more going on behind the scenes.
Brett also said right under that, genuinely excited to see where Ben and Caleb take the company next.
And I have not talked to Brett about this.
I have not talked to Jeremy about that.
I haven't talked to anyone about this.
but I am just looking at this response and saying, okay, obviously she's got beef specifically
with Jeremy.
That's what's going on.
And it seems to me like she is saying that the shakeup that occurred when she left, the contention
or the just the whatever happened, the discord between her and Jeremy possibly played
a role in this.
And so it seems to me like that is the.
message that she is communicating.
And Canis Owens retweeted this.
Canis Owens has been talking even recently more about The Daily Wire.
You'll remember that Candice and Ben have very, very, very diverging views on Israel.
And her friendship with Kanye West, who made some really disturbing comments about
Jewish people also caused a divide at the Daily Wire.
a video was leaked of Ben Shapiro talking badly about Candace Owens.
And it was just this whole, it was just this whole fight at the time.
And so now she's gone off on her own.
She's been insanely successful in doing that.
Already Brett Cooper has been insanely successful.
And so I think this gives the impression to people that, okay, these independent creators
that are mad at Jeremy Boring that are mad at some ways at DailyWire.
I don't know about Brett if she's mad.
at Daily Wire in general. They're doing really well. Things are changing at Daily Wire. They
must be in the loser position here. That's not necessarily my assessment. I think Owens and Cooper
are doing amazingly well and they will continue to do amazingly well. I also think the Daily Wire
will be fine. But Candice said she's celebrating the fact the boring stepped down saying the boring
stepping down was tremendous news. She also pointed to the statements Ben Shapiro and Kaelin Robinson
gave to the Daily Wire, adding that if they were excited about this decision, then she could be as well.
So again, this is implying that Candace Owens' beef was specifically with Jeremy Boring.
Now, she also did have public beef with Bench Piro.
So it's not just Jeremy, but it seems like she's got a specific issue with Jeremy, too.
She points out that there was no new title announced for Jeremy Boring.
So that indicates to her, she says, that he also might be leaving.
So that was about all of the kind of like insight and commentary that she gave.
She did a whole video on this and she did a video I think on the Daily Wire last week too.
You can go watch those and see her, see her assessment if you're interested in that.
This also comes on the heels of yet another Crisis King controversy.
You'll remember when she left Daily Wire, that was a whole big debate because after she left, after she was fired,
she posted Christ's King.
People thought that this was like a, they interpreted this, some as a direct attack on Ben Shapiro, who is Jewish, who obviously doesn't believe Christ's King.
And there was this whole debate about whether it's anti-Semitic to say Crisis King and whether people are using anti-Semitism as a way to silence Christians from using this refrain.
I have talked about this.
I talked about this on Glenn's show last week.
Then Jordan Peterson, he led this report that was recently published that said Christ is king is being, has been co-opted by these anti-Jewish voices in order to attack Jews and they're using his name in vain.
Now, this is kind of like an aside from everything I've been talking about, but this is all happening at once.
And like, I do think all the context of this matters.
I mean, my quick take on this is that, yes, there are people who use Christ's King in vain.
Like you can see the posts on Acts where people are like, Christ is King, you dirty Jew.
Like, I think it's pretty safe to say that that person is not a Christian and that they are using it in a way to attack someone who is not Christian, to attack a Jewish person that is using the Lord's name in vain.
That is a sin.
Do I think that everyone who uses Christ's king or even moving?
people who use that refrain, Christ is King, that they are directly attacking Jewish people,
that they are being anti-Semitic? No, I don't think that. I think that is a true phrase.
And it is a refrain that Christians have used, that Christians can use. I don't think people should
stop themselves, hinder themselves from saying Christ is King when just because they're afraid of
someone calling them anti-Semitic. I think that you should continue to say it, but of course,
you should never say it in a way that is not simply a humble, sincere declaration of Jesus's
lordship and Jesus's royalty. It is not a mantra simply to virtue signal or to try to attack
someone else. Of course, that's true of any Bible verse or any Christian refrain. And so that was a
debate then. This was another debate now. Candace recently talked about this before she even knew
that Jeremy Boring was going to step down.
Of course, people are trying to put the puzzle pieces together and say that this is all
kind of like affecting one another.
People are also pointing out that Jeremy Boring has been kind of like in confrontations
with different commentators, including people like Jason Whitlock on X and maybe that wasn't
making the company look good.
I don't know about that.
I feel like Jeremy has always kind of just been like very forthright with the things that
he says and believes and hasn't been afraid to disagree with people.
who are even on his political side.
So I don't really think that that's a part of this decision.
Again, just my subjective assessment there.
All in all, I think that everyone's going to be fine.
I think we'll find out more information about everything that went down over the next few months.
But I think everyone's going to be fine.
I have no doubt that Ben Shapiro at all will be successful.
Daily Wire will be fine.
I think Jeremy Boring will be fine.
I think that Candice and Brett will continue to do well.
And I want all of these people to be successful.
I want that.
I think that it's good for the conservative movement,
for Daily Wire to continue to be successful and for people to have a variety of voices to listen to.
But yeah, media shakeups, it's interesting.
I mean, conservative media now, we dominate.
Like, we dominate informal, like, non-cable news.
and we should want good sound voices to continue to thrive.
So we'll see what goes down with all this.
Okay, let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.
That's Mossa Chips.
You guys know how much I love Mossa chips.
They are free of seed oils.
They only have organic corn, grass-fed and finished beef tallow and Redmond C-Salt.
My favorite thing about them, in addition to the taste,
and they have lots of different kinds of flavors to choose from,
is that they're really sturdy.
you can put some heavy chunky guacamole on that and it's not going to break that's not true of other seed oil free chips you know what i'm saying
the kinds that you see in the grocery store i mean those things break so easily you get a little like
watery salsa on that it's going to break that's just not sustainable so you need to get your chips
from masa chips this is another america loving small business with really good ingredients that are
actually good for you good for your gut good for your skin all that
good stuff. If you go to masahchips.com and use code AllieB, you'll get a discount on your order.
That's MasaChips.com code Allie B.
Okay, Bree, I think that we, I think we did something bad. I think we contributed to Dylan Mulvaney's
book getting on the New York Times bestseller list. I regret all of it. I regret all of it.
Would he have been able to do it without relatable? We talked last
week about it. So you should go watch that episode. But guys with like 2.5 stars on Amazon and like 19
reviews, or like 30 reviews maybe. And never breaking the top 100 on Amazon, he somehow made the New York
Times bestseller list. He somehow did it. Hmm. Strange. Yeah. People might not know. The New York Times
bestseller list is not an objective list.
based on sales. It is a curated list that is it's editorialized by the people who work in the New York
Times, which is why it always is amazing when a conservative book is on there. That's why we were shocked
that my book went on there. But there are some books that even if the editors at the New York Times
do not like it and they completely agree with the message, they might put it on there for a variety
of reasons. Either like the sales are just so high that you just can't deny it and it would be
ridiculous not to put it on there. Or it is starting important conversations, cultural conversations
that maybe the New York Times doesn't agree with, but they could see how it's causing buzz.
And I'm very thankful that my book did sell well and it still is causing a lot of conversations.
Some people who have actually read it and are giving proper assessments and some people who have
not read it and are virtue signaling by giving their knee-jerk reactions. But yeah, it does show you
when a book that doesn't seem by the objective metrics that we can see to be selling well and
still makes the list, you see the bias of a place like the New York Times and like the things
that they that they include there. Just very, very disturbing stuff. And I just encourage you to go
back and to listen to or watch that episode. Also, if you, oh, were you going to say something?
Oh, I was just going to add that now he is going to have a podcast also. So, we're going to tell them
that, Brie. Oh, sorry.
I was going to keep that part of secret.
Yeah, I guess that's more free promo.
Yeah.
Do you think he wants to come on?
You know what?
I don't think he does.
You don't?
Based on him blocking all of us on Instagram, I don't think he does.
But maybe one day.
Yes, after Jesus Christ saves and redeems him.
Yep.
Yep.
He still does have a good singing voice.
Yeah, beautiful voice.
Yeah.
Okay.
Can we end on something happier than that?
anything, a breed that we can end on. You had fun and we both had fun in California and you had a
really good breakfast burrito on the beach. Breakfast burrito on the beach is is the ultimate experience.
It really is. I didn't have a breakfast burrito the whole time I was there and I'm kind of regretting it.
And I didn't go to the beach. Oh my gosh. I know. Yeah, that's rough. Yeah. No, but it was beautiful.
I had never been there before. It was beautiful. Yeah, it was. And I had some protesters.
Yeah. Talk about that.
Love that.
I said, well, maybe we'll put up a picture of the protesters.
I had these two grandmas that had little signs that said,
empathy is good.
Ladies, I want you to read my book.
And then they were called the Pink Pony Protesters.
Yeah, they had a name.
They had a name.
Yeah.
So big chaparone fans?
I guess.
And like one of the guys was like, I'm a Satanist and I have more empathy than you.
Oh, probably not.
No, you actually just literally don't.
You don't, but you also confuse you feeling bad for your pet victims with actual love when really you're a hateful person.
And you need Jesus.
Yeah, I've had protesters since 2018 at a lot of my events.
It doesn't always happen.
But almost every time I'm in California, it happens.
But I love California.
Shout out to Christians and conservatives in California.
Y'all are especially awesome and strong.
Do you go out and talk to them?
No. Okay. I was just wondering how you knew all of that. What do you mean? Of the people that were out there.
Oh, I didn't go out and talk to them, but there were security out there. Oh, yeah. And so I got pictures and they, yeah, they told me that they have a name. They were very organized protesters. They even filled out a form beforehand telling the Granada Theater, we will be there protesting. We thought that they were protesting Israel. This is how sad these people are. There was like a can.
kids like Jewish dance recital.
There's like a Jewish dance company that had like a sweet little recital there a couple
weeks ago.
These freaking protesters protested that with like Palestinian flags.
This is the same people.
Yes.
Like, oh, okay, so you just blatantly are anti-Jewish.
Like these Jewish little kids doing ballet.
You're just blatantly anti-Kids.
And you think that you are anti-Nazi.
Yeah.
Hitler would love you.
Like be in love with you.
It's crazy.
It's crazy.
But you know, God has blessed me with very stupid enemies.
And for that, I'm thankful.
All right.
That's all we've got time for today.
We'll be back here on Monday.
