Starting point is 00:01:59 Happy Monday. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. All right, today is the day. We are talking about Jeffrey Epstein, the last. latest developments in that very disturbing story, why we should care about it and what to think about the political response to everything that has gone on. First, before we get into all of that, I've got a personal request to make of my audience. And because y'all are the best and most thoughtful and most caring and most encouraging and generous audience in the world,
Starting point is 00:02:34 I know that when I ask this, I can trust without. to doubt that you guys are going to do it. And what I'm asking for is prayer, not just for me and chief relatable bro and our family, but also our team and all of the people that make relatable happen and that make share the arrows happen. There's so much coming down the pipeline as we have one month until Share the Arrow's. It's crazy so much. Prayer and energy and creativity and effort has gone in to share the arrows. You guys probably know a little bit, or maybe you don't. There are so many layers and so many different moving pieces
Starting point is 00:03:16 when it comes to creating a Christian women's conference that is hosting close to 5,000 women. We are so excited, so thankful to the Lord for each and every one of you and for everything that he has done to help make this happen. But there are a few things we know. One, I mean, logistical complications, just happen. Technological complications happen. Travel complications happen. All of that can go down in the next month, but also we know that Satan hates worship. And Satan hates the gathering of the
Starting point is 00:03:49 saints. Satan hates for people, especially women, to be told what is true about what God's word says. He doesn't want Christians to be equipped. He doesn't want Christians to be refreshed. He doesn't want women to be rejuvenated. He wants them to continue to believe in the self-help, self-empowerment slop that has made so many of us complacent and ineffective in our faith. And so I am just asking you to pray for our protection and to pray that all of Satan's schemes will be thwarted. I'm the kind of person that has to be continually reminded of the existence of that spiritual battle that goes on of a very kind of practical person, which has its strengths. But I have to remember, there is a spiritual realm and a spiritual battle that is waging. So I just ask that you would pray for our protection,
Starting point is 00:04:40 that you would pray for God's favor over our lives and over all that we are planning and mapping out in the hopes that God will be glorified and that women will be equipped. But there are some other things that are coming down the pipeline for me, some really, incredible God-ordained opportunities for me to share the gospel in a very public way. Can't talk about it yet. You will see it. You will know about it. I will tell you about it when the time comes.
Starting point is 00:05:12 But if you could just pray for us and pray for wisdom and pray for effectiveness too, that would just mean so much. And just a reminder, I am so thankful for all of you. Again, I know I've already said it. But best, best audience in the world that I am great. grateful every single day for all of you. All right. Now that I've gotten off that soapbox, let's get into the first story of the day. And that is Jeffrey Epstein. You guys have been asking me to talk about this for a while. I will get into the timing of why I'm talking about this now
Starting point is 00:05:45 and haven't spent several episodes talking about it so far. It's certainly not because I don't care. This is vitally important. And I will explain why at the end of the segment. But first, Let us just talk about what is going on. So on September 2nd, 2025 House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, this is a Republican from Kentucky, released 33,000 pages of DOJ subpoenaed documents about Jeffrey Epstein. He is, of course, as most of you know, a convicted sex offender who died by suicide, allegedly, in 2019, awaiting trial for the sex trafficking of minors. So the House of Representatives passed a resolution on September 3rd with a 212 to 208 votes, so very split, authorizing the committee's ongoing probe into the Epstein case and permitting the release of unclassified records from the DOJ, Treasury, and Epstein's estate. So, as many of you have followed over the years, you probably know that there are a lot of theories, a lot of questions surrounding Epstein's.
Starting point is 00:06:55 death and the different connections that he had, especially when it came to the trafficking of minors. This vote in the House had zero Democratic support. It sparked debate over its effectiveness, this resolution's effectiveness, and providing transparency and justice to the victims. Oversight Committee Democrats pointed out that there was little new information in the files that have been released so far. So this is their state. The 33,000 pages of Epstein documents James Comer has decided to release were already mostly public information. This is from Representative Robert Garcia. After careful review, oversight Democrats have found that 97% of the documents received from the Department of Justice were already public.
Starting point is 00:07:44 There is no mention of any client list or anything that improves transparency or justice for victims. Now, I of course would ask, though, if that is the case, if there's no. new information, then what is the harm in releasing it? I could see how someone could say maybe this is political posturing. This isn't actually advancing the ball down the field. However, if that is the case, is it a negative? Is it a drawback to release it? Representative Thomas Massey, however, Republican from Kentucky also opposed the resolution. He said during a news conference on September 3rd that it, quote, does absolutely nothing. He also said, I appreciate the efforts of my colleague, James Comer, who is leading the
Starting point is 00:08:30 Oversight Committee. They may find some information, but they're allowing the DOJ to curate all of the information that the DOJ is giving them. That is his perspective. He and Democratic Representative Ro Khanna are promoting a separate bill to release all DOJ records. Massey is urging his colleagues to listen to the victims during the news conference. He is saying this, what if this was your sister?
Starting point is 00:08:55 What if this was your daughter? Here's that one. The Washington establishment is asking the American public to believe something that is not believable. They're asking you to believe that two individuals created hundreds of victims and they acted alone. And that the DOJ has no idea of who else might have been involved. That nobody else did anything that rose to a criminal enterprise. The American people know that's not. true. Now the Speaker of the House just offered a fig leaf to my colleagues. They're going to vote
Starting point is 00:09:29 on a non-binding resolution today that does absolutely nothing. Okay, so those are his thoughts. The survivors announced during this press conference that they know the names of the abusers who were involved in Epstein sex trafficking ring and that they are planning to independently compile their own list. Here they are said to. Several of us, Epstein survivors, have been discussing and creating our own list of names. We're abused by them. Now together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names. We all know we're regularly in the Epstein world.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Okay, I just find this whole thing very strange. I really do. I find, I just find it very strange. I know that there's been a lot of energy on the right and criticizing this administration. We'll get into some of that in just a minute and criticizing the district. DOJ. Look, I still think that the DOJ and Pam Bondi, that they're doing a good job on a lot of different issues. I think that there's a lot of political capital in saying, no, I'm the real person. I'm the real side that's going to champion transparency. But there's also, there's just a lot of politics
Starting point is 00:10:55 within this. And that's unfortunate. I think that personally, I think that Pam Bondi and the DOJ have been unfairly maligned when it comes to this. I think that we don't know all of the different layers of what is going on here. While we also acknowledge that we should want transparency, that we should want truth, that we should want justice 100% yes and amen. But I have questions about all of the different politicians and the spokespeople that are getting themselves involved in this. That's what I'll say for now. Okay, let's talk about who Jeffrey Epstein is because you might know a lot.
Starting point is 00:11:35 You might not know all of the details, though, that make him so relevant and so important. But before we get into that, I got to tell y'all about Share the Arrows, y'all, I just told you that it's a month away. I am so excited, especially if you are local to the Dallas area. I just got an amazing text this morning from one of my friends. She was saying how like half of her family is down with the cold a couple weeks ago, different members of her family, had a stomach bug. And she said that she has avoided sickness both times. She also, when she does get sick, recovers like in half the time of everyone else.
Starting point is 00:13:17 And she said, I credit my supplements from WeHeart Nutrition for that. She's been taking them for two years like I have. And just like I have, she has seen a huge difference in her immune response to illness. Me too. I rarely get sick anymore. If you go back and listen to some episodes from like later fall, 2023, even the very beginning of 2024, I sound like I'm sick all the time. One, I was like, you know, postpartum and all of that.
Starting point is 00:13:45 But my immune system was just shot, even though I was taking vitamins. Switch to WeHeart Nutrition, it has been a game changer for my hair, skin, and nails, my iron levels, my immune system. That's because every ingredient comes in the most bioavailable form. Plus, this is a pro-life Christian family-owned company. I was just texting Kristen this morning. They are awesome. Y'all make the switch.

I listened to this very interesting podcast on the Interesting Times podcast. with Ross Douthit. I have been on that podcast before. I really appreciated the conversation that we had there. But he had a very interesting discussion with Julie K. Brown, who is an investigator who has covered the Epstein case since 2016. And she told Ross in this interview who Jeffrey Epstein was
Starting point is 00:14:49 and why he matters. So he was a wealthy financier. He's a convicted sex offender who mingled with elites like Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, billionaire Les Wexner and others. She also said to Ross, he was very wealthy, but there was no real indicator of how he made his wealth. Brown credits Epstein's wealth to his intelligence, his cleverness, his ability to exploit others' weaknesses, his networking power, his charisma. She says, quote, I think the key to Epstein's real success is the fact that he would find the weak point that anybody had, whatever they needed or wanted, and he would exploit that. And I don't know what he had on Les Wexner, who became one of his primary clients. Les Wexner is a billionaire who owned Victoria's Secret and also the limited
Starting point is 00:15:43 retail stores at the time. And Epstein somehow met him. And Wexner was really his primary client as a result of that, she says Epstein's wealth just balloon. So he owned all of these lavish properties. You've probably heard of Epstein Island. He also had a Palm Beach Mansion. He presented himself, though, as some kind of philanthropist, just like the helper of all of these people donated to universities, funding research, as well as hosting intellectual salons on his island where he would fly in scientists to give talks to different on different topics,
Starting point is 00:16:24 such as transhumanism. And y'all, I just, it's too on the nose. It's too on the nose that all of these elites want to talk about transhumanism. We just had this episode about Peter Thiel. And then I saw this really funny bit that Tim Dillon did on Joe Rogan's show. And he was basically like about Peter Thiel. Look, you can't have your three interests being like autonomous drones for war zones, surveillance technology that we use on our friends.
Starting point is 00:16:54 neighbors and the Antichrist. Like you can't have all three of those at the same time. Like you got to pick tennis as your third one or like fishing. But he, Peter Thiel, also very interested in transhumanism. It's just strange in all of these people. Maybe not Peter Thiel, but certainly in the Bill Gates world, very concerned about overpopulation. It's just a little bit too on the nose, too cartoon villainish.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Julie Brown said he was interested in all kinds of things involving babies in how they form intelligence and eugenics and gene research and things like that. Very troubling. So back in the 1990s, Epstein's accomplice, Galane Maxwell, they also briefly dated, began allegedly recruiting young girls for him. Epstein had helped Maxwell's family financially after her father had raided their family company. including the employee's pension fund. And then he died in very mysterious, a very mysterious way, left the family in financial ruins. There were a lot of rumors, Julie Brown says,
Starting point is 00:18:04 at the time that maybe they would get married. But she realized as she got older that she was not going to satisfy him because he wanted younger and younger girls. So apparently she made herself useful in finding him these younger girls and made herself basically irreplaceable. It sounds like from what Julie said that she was really in love with him, really attached to him. And so she kind of put herself in this position that he would need her. The journalist says a lot of women have come forward and I speak with the attorneys that represent these women quite often.
Starting point is 00:18:36 I was speaking with one who said that he had a client. She was of age, but she was on the younger side. And she was trafficked to a very powerful man by Epstein in Palm Beach. Now, a lot of people think for whatever reason that this is all some right wing Q&N. non-conspiracy. I just want to remind you that this is being reported by the New York Times. Not that they are a bastion of credibility. I'm just saying this is not some conservative conspiracy theory going on. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor in Florida serving 13 months and lenient conditions. Brown said they manipulated and downplayed the scope of his crime.
Starting point is 00:19:13 She said it was clear that he had done this, this trafficking to many, many girls, but was only charged for soliciting one underage girl. And Brown adds that an older girl was chosen so that the crime didn't look as bad. She talks about a lot of the collusion that was going on there between his team and the other actors at play there, the other people involved in this case to make sure that he wasn't charged with everything that he could be charged for. In 2019, however, Epstein was re-arrested for sex trafficking, but he then reportedly died by suicide in prison. Galane Maxwell was convicted in 2021. She was sentenced to 20 years. There's also some interesting conversation that people are having about his apparent
Starting point is 00:20:06 connection to Israeli intelligence. Now, there is no, you've probably heard this, some people saying that this is a definitive connection. However, there's not really definitive evidence confirming or refuting Epstein's ties to intelligence. agencies or Israeli Mossade. Julie Brown said this about that. I don't know and I don't think anybody really knows except the people in the government that have these files. A secondhand quote attributed to Alex Acosta claiming he was told to back off Epstein because he was, he quote, belonged to intelligence has not been publicly corroborated by Acosta himself, leaving this significant unresolved question. There were also, there's also some
Starting point is 00:20:49 speculation about Robert Maxwell, Galane Maxwell's father and his connections to Israeli intelligence, but we just don't know. So if anyone tells you that we know absolutely for sure, that there's concrete evidence of this, maybe it is somewhere out there, but we don't know it quite yet. All right. Now we have to talk about the elephant in the room here, which is Donald Trump, because you see some people on the left now saying, yes, release the Epstein files, when a year ago they were saying that it's a conspiracy theory. And the reason they're saying that is because they think Donald Trump could be involved somehow, that he could be indicted because of his involvement.
Starting point is 00:21:32 And of course, they've been looking for any way to put him in jail for a very long time. So we'll get into what Donald Trump's attitude has been about this and some of the informal allegations going on there in just a second. Let me go ahead and pause. Tell you about our next sponsor. It's Good Ranch. You all know, we love Good Ranchers. We eat Good Ranchers almost every single night. We love their chicken nuggets. We just emailed them. We're like, please send us some more chicken nuggets. We love them so much because they're seed oil free. We know that seed oils can be inflammatory and even the most, the healthiest chicken nugget brand that you can find in the grocery stores, got canola oil and all kinds of inflammatory stuff in it. You don't have to worry about that when it comes to Good Ranchers. Plus, you know that it's actually from an American farm or ranch. And that's true of all of their meat. We love their fillets so good. We love their ground beef just because it's so versatile. Our kids love the just baked chicken. So we just take their
Starting point is 00:22:30 non-premarinated baked or chicken breasts and we put them in the oven really simple, really easy, really great way to get protein. And again, we love supporting American farms and ranches. Plus, this is a Christian family owns company that felt a call by God to provide this service to people like you and me, and I'm so thankful. It makes our lives so much easier, so much more convenient. And again, we get to support American industry. Go to GoodRanchers.com. Use code Alley. You'll get a free add-on of meat when you subscribe. Plus, you'll get $40 off when you use my code alley. That's good ranchers.com slash alley code alley. So according to Julie Brown to the New York Times, she says there was no evidence right now that
Starting point is 00:23:17 Trump was involved in Jeffrey Epstein's businesses or his sex trafficking or his crime. Now, you may have seen some pictures going around where it looks like they're at the same party or they're hanging out or they're posing for a picture together. And while, of course, that's not a good look, no one wants to be in a picture with him or Harvey Weinstein or anyone that is obviously sketchy. However, Jeffrey Epstein hung out with a lot of really important people, a lot of really rich people. I mean, he was in those circles. That does not mean that they were all his clients or that they all went to his private island or that they all went to his private island or that, they had any kind of like serious ties. So it's not evidence enough to say, you know, they were at the same party or even that they were friends for a period of time. Jeffrey Epstein was friends with like
Starting point is 00:24:05 every rich and powerful person at the time and probably had all different levels of friendships and relationships with them. In June 2024, Fox News is Rachel Campos Duffy asked Trump if he would declassify the Epstein files along. with the JFK and MLK assassination files during an interview, he said that he would. In September 2024, Trump reiterated his willingness to do this in a podcast with Lex Freeman. However, a couple months ago, July 2025, he kind of reversed course after the DOJ and the FBI released a memo stating that a thorough review of Jeffrey Epstein's files found no evidence of incriminating client lists or blackmail involving prominent individuals. And Trump said this is pretty boring.
Starting point is 00:24:52 boring stuff. Here's what he had to say. Sot 3. Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years. You're asking, we have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things. And are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable. It just seems like a desecration. All right. So obviously people had a reaction to what Trump said. So let me give you my take on all of this. The truth is we could spend weeks of episodes talking about Epstein, talking about all of his connections, all of the theories, some very legitimate, some probably less legitimate surrounding him, the true circumstances surrounding his death, the layers of cover up and sexual exploitation, an institutional corruption that this story involves. And I'm sure
Starting point is 00:25:46 we will be talking more about this in coming years. We should. The reason, that I had not gone in depth on this yet is because I was waiting for the pieces to come together. A few years ago, I felt the same way about the whole Russian collusion hoax story. There were so many pieces, so many layers. I wanted to have as much as possible before doing my own deep dive into what was true and what wasn't. But the frustrating thing with this story, with this Epstein story, is that it looks like we're never going to get to the bottom of it. Now, I'm not being pessimistic here. That's just how it feels
Starting point is 00:26:27 right now. It feels to many Republican voters like Kabuki Theater, like political posturing. So many people voted for Donald Trump because they saw him as the enemy of political corruption, the outsider who had his own bone to pick, rightfully so, with the Washington establishment. I mean, they tried to impeach him multiple times. They tried to imprison him. They indirectly, I would say, stoked the anger that led to his assassination attempt, they did everything they possibly could to sabotage him. So I think a lot of people saw, okay, he is going to represent our own frustrations with their corruption and trying to subvert the will of the people. And while the corruption in D.C. and in the intelligence agencies is not limited to this Epstein case. Many people see Epstein as
Starting point is 00:27:17 representative of the corruption because of how incredibly well connected he was to people in power in politics, in tech, in every sphere of influence around the globe. So the thinking goes, if we get Epstein, we get his client list, we get all of the details of the people that he had blackmail on and then maybe the chips will start falling. But not only that, people genuinely want to see people help. accountable for sex trafficking and pedophilia, especially the powerful people who are doing so, it seems like, in plain sight. And we feel this way, not because we're conspiracy theorists, but because we care about justice. Like, we care about innocent victims and we don't want people
Starting point is 00:28:05 to be able to get away with abuse just because they're rich. These victims were and are image bearers of God, even if we don't know their names, even if we never hear their voices or see their faces, they matter. Justice for them matters. So that is why people were disappointed in Trump's apparent dismissiveness of this. Now, that said, I believe Trump and Bondi are the right people for their jobs. I mean, I think, God, every day that these are the people in charge, especially instead of Kamala Harris and her ilk.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Like, I want truth and transparency in this area, and I also want it in every area. So I think that we can advocate to our elected officials that we want justice. We want truth. We don't want political posturing. We don't want these victims to be treated like chess pieces. While we also recognize the incredible improvement of Donald Trump as president versus Joe Biden, when it comes to foreign policy, immigration, religious liberty, the recognition of biological reality, the affirmation of the affirmation of
Starting point is 00:29:16 the power of prayer, all of that stuff. They're not minor things. They really matter. I believe that some of the changes that Donald Trump, that the DOJ, that the people that he's put in charge are making are so good for the country. I don't even want to think the direction that this country would have been going in had it been for Kamala Harris. So I think we can hold these thoughts in our mind at the same time because of course there's never going to be a leader that is perfect. But what I hope, and I don't see Trump doing this to his credit, but what I hope is that when it comes to the Epstein files, that this isn't just a way for any politician, for anyone, any activist,
Starting point is 00:30:01 to get clicks or to go viral or to create some, you know, I don't know, some burst of enthusiasm that is not what. this is about. This is extremely serious. We should we should treat this with the gravity that it deserves. And look, I don't have all of the answers. Like I said, we could spend hours and days going into all the different layers of this, but we can pray for those victims. We can pray for justice. We can pray for truth. We can pray for the wisdom and the courage of the people in power for honesty and truth to prevail. This matters. All crime matters, of course. All victims matter. But because of just the prominence of this and how many different spheres it affects,
Starting point is 00:30:48 it really matters that this has gotten right. All right. We're going to get into another intense subject in just a second. This is a paid endorsement. Okay, if you follow me on Instagram or on X, you know that I am very worked up about this story coming out of Charlotte. This homeless man with several priors who randomly stabbed a young woman on a train to death.
Starting point is 00:33:06 And it's not just that that is the story, but it's also unfortunately the media silence about this story. the partiality that we see not only in the media because we expect that, right? Like we expect that from the secular world, but that we see from the Christian world when it comes to stories like this. So let me just tell you the details. Then we'll get to the response. A homeless man to Carlos Brown Jr. With over 14 prior arrests, y'all, stabbed and killed a Rina Zarutka, a 23-year-old Ukrainian
Starting point is 00:33:39 refugee on a Charlotte Light Rail train on August 22, 2025. The reason why people are talking about this even more right now is because we just saw the surveillance footage, which is very, very disturbing. It was released on Friday, September 5th, and it shows Brown pulling out a pocket knife attacking Zerushka, who is unaware. She was just kind of looking at her phone. So she gets on the train. He's already sitting down. She sits right in front of him. She's this, like, very slight young woman.
Starting point is 00:34:10 She takes out her phone. She's scrolling on her phone. and he just kind of looks at her, takes a knife out of his pocket, stands up and starts violently, aggressively, brutally stabbing her. After the attack, Brown, we see this in the video. Brown left a trail of blood on the train, removed his bloody hoodie, and calmly exited the next station. And everyone that you see in this surveillance footage is just standing there, trying so hard not to do anything. Now, I have so many thoughts about that on the one hand, like I understand. You're unarmed.
Starting point is 00:34:42 he's obviously an insane person with a knife. I say insane, but could just be evil. And you don't, you want to go home to see your family. I totally understand that at the same time seeing all of these men lined up there, standing there in silence when I'm just not sure if that would have happened 25 years ago. I think that they would have tried something. I think that they would have or someone would have been armed 25 years ago and could have you know, clocked him in the head. Like, you know, that's what should have happened. So he's got convictions
Starting point is 00:35:17 dating back to 2014, including a 2014 armed robbery. He, of course, was free when he allegedly committed this murder. We have to say allegedly, even though we have it on tape, because he hasn't been convicted yet. Charlotte's Democratic mayor, Vi Liles, thanked the media for not sharing the attack video. Prompting criticism from Republican leaders like Representative Brad not, who condemned her for not addressing the preventable violence. He says the mayor's refusal to condemn senseless, horrific, and preventable violence is as telling as it is despicable. Violent criminals, regardless of who they are or what they look like, need to be in jail.
Starting point is 00:35:59 In her statement, Mayor Liles did not mention the victim by name or discuss any specific measures that the Charlotte Area Transit System or police are taking to address safety in public transit. She focused on the suspect and urged others not to demonize homeless people. She said the suspect appeared to have struggled with mental health and suffered a crisis. She said Charlotte and his transit system are, quote, by and large, safe, but the incident highlights the need for stronger support systems. We will never arrest our way out of issues such as homelessness or mental health. Mental health disease is just that, a disease like any other that needs to be treated with the same compassion, diligence, and commitment as cancer or heart disease. So basically, this person shouldn't be held responsible for his cold-blooded murder because he apparently was mentally unwell.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Well, as you guys know, I wrote a book called toxic empathy and how Christians are well-lawed. meaning, compassion is used against us, is exploited to convince us that progressive and specifically soft on crime policies are the more loving option. And so I posted this on X. In response to this story and in response to what the mayor said, how can empathy be toxic Allie? Well, you see, this guy was arrested and released a dozen times in the name of social justice and racial equity. Social justice and racial equity policies are born out of empathy for the marginalized. Bad actors convince well-meaning compassionate Christians that these empathetic, restorative justice measures are the right way to love our neighbors. In this way,
Starting point is 00:37:46 the criminal becomes the victim and society becomes chaotic and disordered. We have to be led by truth, order, love, goodness, and virtue, not by empathy. The last chapter of my book, it was a very difficult one to write because there was so much that I could have included in this. but the last chapter of toxic empathy is about justice and crime and how when we are led by empathy for the criminal, we end up making policies that really hurt innocent people. The mainstream media outlets have faced accusations of minimal coverage. Even Elon Musk has said something about it. Charlotte City Council candidate Edwin Peacock and others called for action to address safety and crime on the city's public transit system. The murder occurred amid President Trump's renewed push for a crime crackdown.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Another thing I'm very thankful for when it comes to President Trump, he did exactly the right thing in Washington, D.C. I don't know how anyone could be against cracking down on crime the way that he is. A Trump advisor said that this Charlotte murder quote is exactly what he's talking about and it's going to be an issue Trump is going to highlight. Good, as he should. Like, as he should, right? We should all want this. We should all want fewer murders. Pierce Morgan commented on this.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Why is this disgusting, senseless, unprovoked murder of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee by a man named DeCarlose Brown Jr. On a train in Charlotte, North Carolina, not getting more media attention. Charlie Kirk also says, Dear CNN, WAPO, NYT, ABC, NBC, etc. If you want to know why your ratings are in the tank
Starting point is 00:39:28 and no one likes you, look no further than this brutal murder, shame on you genuinely, Stephen Miller, who worked for the Trump administration, the Democrat Party at every level, judges, politicians, academics, nonprofits is organized around the defense and protection of the criminal, toxic empathy, the monstrous and the depraved, the more vile the threat, the more vociferously the Democrat Party wants to protect and enable it, and that is so true and so unbelievably disordered. So, the question is. How do we fix this? Well, I've got a few thoughts on that. First, a really simple option. Stop voting for people who hate you. Stop voting for people who advocate for quote unquote restorative justice or social justice or racial equity. These are all code words for I will make sure criminals don't get arrested and if they do that they'll get out of jail quickly. Stop voting for representatives, mayors, governors and where it applies, judges,
Starting point is 00:40:31 and district attorneys who do not believe that crime should be punished harshly, who demonize the police, who wholesale condemn the United States justice system, who believe that we need to even out the racial quotas in our prison system. Those people will always be bad news. They will always make your city less safe. And therefore, more people, when you vote for people like that, more people will be raped, assaulted, stolen from, and murdered. That is not restorative.
Starting point is 00:41:01 It is not just. It is not equitable. When you understand that all progressive vocabulary is actually just a euphemism for something really awful, like reproductive health care is a euphemism for murdering babies, restorative justice is a euphemism for allowing violent criminals on the street to murder you and your elderly mom or your young daughter, you realize that what sounds good when it comes to progressive politicians usually points to evil. Judge policies, not by their stated intentions, but by their outcome.
Starting point is 00:41:40 If you do that, you will never vote for a progressive again in your life. What do we always say? What have we been saying since at least 2019? Politics matters because policy matters because people matter. Politics affects policy. Policy affects people. And people matter. People matter to God.
Starting point is 00:41:57 And therefore, they matter to us. Number two, once you check that one off, stop voting for stupid evil people. Once we check that one off, support policies that keep dangerous people away from society. Now, one part of this would be a really big undertaking. But for people who are truly mentally unwell, they need institutions that can help them and keep them away from society for as long as it takes. If my tax dollars are going to go toward anything, I'd be happy to have them go toward that. Now, yes, there are civil liberties parameters we need in place there, but surely there is a way we can accomplish this.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Also, longer, harsher prison sentences for violent crime, and a consistently speedily applied death penalty for murder and other heinous crimes like child rape. Genesis 9.6 commands the death penalty for murderers. And this role of the government is not just an Old Testament dictate. First of all, it's the Noahic covenant, which is before the establishment of the civilization of Israel, still applies today because its reasoning is rooted in something that is still true today that we are made in God's image, but it's also reiterated in the New Testament, reemphasized in Romans 13. Again, we can debate what is the threshold that must be reached for the death penalty to be enacted?
Starting point is 00:43:21 DNA evidence. Two to three eyewitnesses. I'm open to that, but it should be used much more often than it is and much more quickly. Give a fair trial, unbiased jury, convicted, guilty, a pastor that shares the gospel with him. He has the opportunity to respond to that gospel and then execution. That is justice for these kinds of crimes. That is actually mercy. That is offering the murderer or child rapist far more than he offered his victim.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Ecclesiastes 811 says this. Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil. Think about that. Number three. I know this is controversial, but it's true. Number three, stop being afraid to talk about crimes just because of the color of the person that committed them. The facts are the facts. And the fact is this.
Starting point is 00:44:24 A white person is statistically far more likely to be killed by a black person than the reverse, despite the fact that white people make up about 60% of the population and black men make up about 7% of the population. Now, we should never condemn any one race and glorify another race. People are individuals. That is absolutely true. We should never judge people or people groups collectively. but the facts do matter, which is why the opposite collective judgment is also wrong. This is exactly what the media does, glorifies one race, and condemns another, assumes that one race
Starting point is 00:45:05 is guilty and that the other is completely abdicated of any responsibility. This is what progressives do. This is what, unfortunately, many evangelicals do and did during 2020. You see, when George Floyd died, all of them. your favorite apolitical pastures not only expressed outrage about that publicly, but they connected his death to the complicity of all white people. The racism of all police and the racial injustice embedded in all of America. But never ever did or do we see the same people talk about a crime like this.
Starting point is 00:45:38 One, because this kind of crime happens too often. If you spend any time on X, you'll actually see that. Also, if you just look at the data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics or FBI crime data, you'll see that, but also because this is not the right type of crime to have a public opinion on. There's a name for that, by the way, it's not justice. It's partiality. Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Proverbs, James all reiterate God's hatred for partiality, showing undue favoritism or condemnation toward one person over the other at the expense of truth and fairness.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Now, I'm not arguing that this crime was motivated by race because I don't know. I'm not suggesting that we take to the streets like BLM did and post. to white square and convince all companies to pay white people money. I'm just saying that white lives taken by black people matter just as much. They deserve our condemnation just as much. The murder, by the way, is always the oppressor, no matter what race they are. You're not going to convince me that this guy just because he was black or just because he was homeless is also maybe on the side of the oppressed. No, I promise you, God doesn't see it that way. Because God doesn't see it that way, I don't see it that way. Now, of course, last part. At the end of the day, this is a spiritual
Starting point is 00:46:59 heart problem. It is for all of us that ultimately Jesus is the answer for. Now, there are political solutions. There are cultural issues at play. But lawlessness and aggression and bitterness and anger are all celebrated on a spiritual moral level today. That's a problem that we live in an age of moral relativism where nothing can be considered objectively bad or sinful or evil. It's all mental health. It's all a trauma response. No, some things are just wrong. Like some things are just evil and they have to be punished. And it is actually righteous and compassionate and loving and good to restrain evil. That is why a huge reason why the government exists. To restrain evil so that the innocent, can flourish so that they can ride bikes in their neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:47:49 They can go on a jog in the early hours of the morning or take public transportation at night. And if you find yourself with more pity for the people committing the heinous crimes thinking about what they've gone through in their lives more, more than you're thinking of the lives and the people left behind by the victims, then I'm afraid your moral compass is out of whack. Things are disordered. This is what I mean by toxic empathy. It doesn't mean that all empathy is bad, but misdirected or disproportionate or blinding empathy that leads you in three directions to affirm sin, to validate lies or support destructive policy. Yes, that is toxic. And that is why Christians are called not to be led by empathy, which is a very strong feeling that can lead
Starting point is 00:48:39 you in a good or a bad direction. But to be led by the truth in love, 1st Corinthians 136 says that love never rejoices in wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Is there a place for mercy? Is there a place for leniency? Is there a place for understanding people's backgrounds and their struggles to ensure that we are seeing them as image bearers of God with souls that live forever, whether they are the criminal or whether they are the victim? Absolutely. But that does not negate our societal or governmental responsibility to restrain evil for the sake of the weak and the vulnerable. That is a part of seeking justice and loving mercy. It's interesting that that verse in Micah is the one that is repeated over and over again by left-leaning Christians. Look,
Starting point is 00:49:27 I see seeking justice and loving mercy is making sure that those who are doing evil are unable to do evil. All right. That's my take on that. very sad story. Please pray for this young woman's family. Pray for her loved ones and pray that we have politicians who are courageous enough to do the right thing. All right. We've got one more segment, less intense, still important, but less intense than the previous two subjects that we just tackled. But let me tell you about our next sponsor. And that is pre-born. Y'all, if you want to be a part of the life movement, if you want to save babies' lives, put your your money where your heart is. Don't just say your pro-life actually help the moms and the babies
Starting point is 00:50:14 who need it. Pre-born supplies and network of clinics with the resources and the tools they need to serve pregnant moms in need. One of the amazing things that they do, they give sonogram equipment to these pregnancy centers so that these pregnancy centers then can offer free sonograms to these women who are pregnant and contemplating abortion. We know that when a woman sees, sees and hears her baby on that ultrasound that she is several times more likely to choose life because she realizes that she's been told a bunch of lies by Planned Parenthood, that this isn't a person, that it's just a clump of cells, that it's basically nothing, it's just tissue.
Starting point is 00:50:54 She sees that this is a little person, a part of her with a beating heart, and she chooses life. And preborn make sure that these pregnancy centers have all the tools that they need to help this woman, not only choose life, but to take care of her baby even after birth. So when you donate just $28 a month, you are covering the cost of a free ultrasound for a pregnant woman in need. Go to preborn.com slash alley. Donate whatever you can. That's preborn.com slash alley.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Okay. Snoop doggie dog, y'all. We're talking about Snoop Dog. Now, I have said before, I've talked about Snoop Dog before because I think he's just such a strange, like cultural zeitgeist. Almost like he's everywhere. Like he hosted the Olympics. And I'm like, okay, but he did a music video a few years ago where he was pretending to assassinate Donald Trump a sitting president. We've just completely just ignored that and be like, ah, it's just snoop dog.
Starting point is 00:51:55 He's friends with Martha Stewart and smokes weed. How harmful could he be? Well, I don't know. He sobered up for a second and he said something that was true and I guess instantly regretted it. He faced backlash after a clip from an August podcast where he criticized children's movies for featuring LG. BTQ characters went viral.
Starting point is 00:52:14 An apology post appearing to be posted on Snoop social media surface, which his team later stated it is fake. Okay, so later stated it is fake. I guess he didn't apologize for, there's a lot of confusion here, but he did actually say this about the new light year movie that he saw
Starting point is 00:52:30 with his six-year-old grandson, sought for. I took my grandson to see what was the movie with a Buzz Light. Toy Story? Not that one, but the same. Oh, the new the new buzz, the light year. I think it's called Light Year. Yeah, with Kiki Palmer is in that movie. Okay, okay. She plays like the daughter.
Starting point is 00:52:47 So we're watching it, and the lady, which is Kiki's mama, they move on into the space years. They move down the line. They're like, and she had a baby with a woman. My grandson in the middle of the movie, like, Papa Snoop, how does she have a baby with a woman? She's a woman. Oh, I didn't come in for this. I just came and watched a guy. movie. Okay. So I think, you know, minus the, you know, the vulgar language there, he actually
Starting point is 00:53:20 represents what a lot of people think. Now, obviously, Christians like you and me, we have a lot, we have much deeper thoughts about that and our problems with it. I don't think that he is probably personally against that. He just doesn't want to have that kind of conversation with a six-year-old grandson when he's just trying to be entertained. And I think that is actually how a lot of parents, left, right, and center feel. And kids are smart, by the way. Like, it's not possible for two women or two men to be able to make a child. So there are a lot of different layers and questions to be asked about that. Kids and their intuition of something's not right, it's really good. And it's actually really sad when adults try to purposely take that away from
Starting point is 00:54:01 them or gaslight them. Like, you're crazy for thinking that that's weird or thinking that's different. You have to think that that's good and beautiful. It's really sad. Like, kids deserve of clarity and it's our responsibility to give it to them. So, okay, I guess people were mad about this. Lauren Gunderson responded to this. She's a writer for Lightyear. Responded to Snoop's comments saying he sucks. She defended the inclusion of a same-sex couple with a child in the movie saying as we wrote early versions of what became Light Year, a key character needed a partner and it was so natural to write she instead of heat. As small as that detail is in the film, I knew the representative effect it could have. None. No positive one. Small line, big deal. I was elated that they kept it.
Starting point is 00:54:48 I'm proud of it. To infinity. That would have been a great time to say and beyond. But you miss that too. Okay. So then people kind of like, you know, latched on to that and got all mad at Snoop Dog. Hollywood unlocked Instagram shared clips of the TMZ interview. Snoop apparently left a comment to apologize and say that he's not perfect and needed to learn. But then his representative said, no, this is not true. But here is the screenshot that was going around just so you know what was part of the conversation. It looked like he said. I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons. All my gay friends know what's up. They've been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a six-year-old, teach me how to learn. I'm not perfect. So who knows if that was really
Starting point is 00:55:35 him or not. And I hope that it's not. Because you don't. need to apologize for saying something that's true. You just don't, especially for someone with as much like power and prominence and money as, as he has, like, what's the point? And here's my hard pill to swallow for the day. Never apologize to the mob. Don't do it. It'll never be enough. Okay, so say you say something that is true, especially you Christian, say you do something that is true. And all these people come out and condemn you. They call you a bigot. They say that you're going to ruin your business and you think this is what a lot of people think I saw this in 2020 well maybe if I just apologize for my tone maybe if I just apologize for how I said it or where I said it or maybe if I just
Starting point is 00:56:21 clarify that I really love people that I don't hate anyone then that'll be enough it's not the mob smells blood and they're going to come after you even harder they're never going to be satiated with your apology in fact they're just waiting for you to recant altogether that is the only action that they are looking for that they will be satisfied with is you recanting and completely repenting according to their definitions and celebrating what you know God calls sin. So don't do it. Don't apologize. Do not answer them. Instead of backing down, you double down. You say, yeah, actually, okay, in response to everyone who is hating me about this, I just want to reiterate that what I said is true. I just want to reiterate that I believe in God's word and I'm not going to apologize for it.
Starting point is 00:57:08 When you start apologizing for what God's word objectively says is true, you are casting yourself as nicer and more merciful than God. And that is self- idolatry. Now, if you really did something wrong and it was wrong in accordance with God's word, then of course, an apology or a statement could be necessary. But even then, say it to the right people. You don't have an obligation to say sorry to the people that are looking to sabotage you and are looking for a gotcha. You make sure that you are right before God.
Starting point is 00:57:43 And that is what matters at the end of the day. Now, Snoop Dog, we should pray for. We should pray that if he's not, that he gets right with God because he already has a little inkling that something is wrong about that. So maybe this can be like a launching pad for his exploration into truth. All right. We got one more sponsor for the day before we close out. That is Patriot Mobile. Y'all Patriot Mobile is America's Christian conservative. wireless provider and they are awesome. They make switching so easy.
