Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey - Ep 956 | The Truth About the Oklahoma 'Trans' Teen

Episode Date: February 22, 2024

Today we're talking about the heartbreaking story of an Oklahoma teen girl, Dagny Benedict, who died earlier this month after she and another student were beaten by three older girls in their school's... bathroom. The problem with the story? It has now come out that Dagny did not, in fact, die due to bullying over her "non-binary" identity, as media outlets were quick to report. We break down the reports from news outlets and how they have controlled the narrative and strangely blamed Libs of TikTok for her death. Also, we take a look at Google's AI tool Gemini and its refusal to depict white people in its AI-generated images. --- Timecodes: (01:06) Dagny Benedict (11:30) Media responds to story (19:00) Libs of TikTok (30:16) Responses to the story (42:40) Google AI is racist --- Today's Sponsors: NetSuite — gain visibility and control of your financials, planning, budgeting, and inventory so you can manage risk, get reliable forecasts, and improve margins. I hope you'll join us. The media is blaming libs of TikTok, Republican lawmakers, and other conservatives for the death of a student in Oklahoma who identified as non-binary. We have all of the details on that and the wicked evil narrative that the media. is spinning and we will debunk it on today's episode. Also, Google's AI technology will not show any positive depictions or even historically accurate depictions of white people. We will go through
Starting point is 00:01:12 some examples and tell you why that really, really matters. We've got all that and more on today's episode of Relatable. Hey guys, welcome to Relatable. Happy Thursday. Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. All right, no announcements. Let's just go ahead and get right into everything that we have to talk about today because it is a lot. All right, we're going to start with this horrible story coming out of Oklahoma, a student who identifies as transgender or non-binary. Some reports are saying died after a school fight. And the media, of course, as they do, jumped to the convenient conclusion, which is that this child was killed because of her stated identity. And she was killed because of her stated identity because of nasty mean conservatives
Starting point is 00:02:14 and Republican politicians like the governor of Oklahoma, Kevin Stitt, being anti-transgender and anti-gender fluidity. It is because of conservatives' rampage. against transgenderism that this young person has died and so now we need federal authorities to look into this case and and people need to realize that not calling someone by their proper pronouns or preferred pronouns and being against transgenderism in any way is actually killing people. Of course, that's the moral extortion that we have been hearing for years now, that if you don't use someone's preferred pronoun. So if you don't call a man, she or a woman, he, or call someone, they, them, then they are not only going to be bullied and perhaps murdered, but they are probably
Starting point is 00:03:10 going to commit suicide. If you don't allow your son to go through chemical castration, if you don't allow your daughter to get a double mastectomy when she is 16 years old, then they're going to commit suicide. It is the most evil form of manipulation that you can think of. There is no data. There are no statistics that back up this assertion. It is literally just a form of moral extortion. It's the worst form of what I call empathy bullying or empathy shaming that if you are a good empathetic person, then you would just affirm what this individual thinks about themselves. And if you don't, they will die and blood will be on your hands. It is sick. It is disgusting. It is not true. There is no causal relationship between those things. And yet we hear incessantly that there is
Starting point is 00:04:02 that relationship. And so now they are hoisting up a young person in the state of Oklahoma who recently died as their new mascot. Again, this is what they do, not just with this, but also when it comes to, for example, a black person who is shot by the police. Rather than actually having compassion for what happened, they immediately use this. person as a political mallet to bludgeon their enemies. Like there's no actual love or empathy or compassion when it comes to how progressives react to stories like this. It's not about what the victim endured. It is actually about how that victim can be used, exploited and objectified to gain power and to punish their political enemies. That's exactly
Starting point is 00:04:56 what's going on in this horrible story about this young person. As a teenager, was a teenager, 16 years old named Dagny Benedict. Now, this person, because she said that she is non-binary, which of course is not in actual reality, but it's a stated identity that someone can say that they have, she had been going by the name next in E-X. We, of course, will not refer. to this person by they, them pronouns because, again, that is an impossibility. This person is a female created in the image of God. And so we will be referring to her as a girl because that is, of course, what she was. So this is what has been reported by the New York Post, Daily Mail,
Starting point is 00:05:47 Independent. The summary is coming from those sources. She died earlier this month after she and another student were severely beaten by three older girls inside a school bathroom, according to reports. The fight occurred on February 7th at Owasso High School in suburban Tulsa. While her family's obituary used the female pronouns, her grandmother, who it seems raised her Sue Benedict told the independent that the teen identified as non-binary. An official school update said that students were in the restroom for less than two minutes and the physical altercation was broken up by other students who were present in the restroom at the time, along with a staff member who was supervising outside of the restroom.
Starting point is 00:06:38 The school did not call the police or an ambulance, but Benedict and the others were examined by a nurse as required by school policy. They didn't think that they needed to go to the emergency room. So I know I read a report that just said that they were severely beaten. We don't actually know that. And actually reports indicate now that the beating, of course, wrong was not severe. It wasn't severe enough to cause serious injury that would have led Dagny or any of the other girls involved to go to the ER. But the school called Ms. Benedict about the fight informed her that her daughter would be suspended. four two weeks. Dagne's mother took her to the hospital after school called police to report the fight. So I guess her mother slash grandmother decided that, okay, she actually does seem to have some injuries. Let's just go get her examined. So the Daily Mail had released text messages that Benedict, this girl had sent to her family later that day after her grandparents had taken her to the ER. She texted this family member.
Starting point is 00:07:56 I got jumped at school. Three on one had to go to the ER. And then the family member, we don't know who this family member is, said, are you okay? She said, all good, just scrapes and bruises, got a shot in the butt for my pain. But if I'm still dizzy and nauseous in the morning, I might have a concussion. The family member says, why did they jump you? What did the school do about it? They had been bullying me and my friend, Dagny said, and I got to tell you.
Starting point is 00:08:19 tired of it. So I poured some water on them and all three came after me. School did not report it to police and is probably getting sued. Then they lost the girls after they made me and my friends separate and one of my friends had to be escorted to his bus because they couldn't find them. So what is being reported, as I said, by media outlets is that she was beaten to death, that she was severely beaten to death in the bathroom because of her non-binding. identity, there is no indication based on the evidence that we have that that happened at all. So again, the media running to jumping to conclusions in order to make a political point. It is like the least compassionate thing that you could do for this young person who is apparently
Starting point is 00:09:07 being bullied and who died from a cause that we don't know about. Maybe we should care about that. And if journalists were worth their salt, maybe they would be. looking into that a little bit more. Hey, this is Steve Day. If you're listening to Allie, you already understand that the biggest issues facing our country aren't just political. They're moral, spiritual, and rooted in what we believe is true about God, humanity, and reality itself. On the Steve Day show, we take the news of the day and tested against first principles, faith, truth, and objective reality.
Starting point is 00:09:43 We don't just chase narratives and we don't offer false comfort. We ask the hard questions and follow the answers wherever they leave, even when it's unpopular. This is a show for people who want honesty over hype and clarity over chaos. If you're looking for commentary grounded in conviction and unwilling to lie to you about where we are or where we're headed, you can watch this D-Day show right here on Blaze TV or listen wherever you get podcasts. I hope you'll join us. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:13 So Benedict was released from the hospital that same day. She was assessed by the ER. They didn't think that there was anything worth keeping her for. You know, as you heard in those texts, she just had some scrapes and bruises. maybe was a little bit sore, but then she went home. Her grandmother told the independent that her then child, that her child then collapsed at home the following day on February 8th and then tragically died. And that's all we knew really for a couple days about this story.
Starting point is 00:10:46 And that is why the media then ran with this narrative, this concocted narrative, that she died because of the bullying and that the bullying was because of her stated identity. So let me give you some examples of how the, how the media framed this. Here's what the Independent reported. Oklahoma banned trans students from bathrooms. Now a bullied student is dead after a fight. So you see how they just make two statements that are kind of true. And then they allow the reader to make the deductions that the journalist wants them to make. And then you've got the Daily Beast that said a dead non-binary teen and a school boss's cruel transphobia. Of course, trying to blame this teen's tragic death on so-called transphobia.
Starting point is 00:11:42 The advocate said this, Oklahoma transgender student dies after allegedly assaulted by students at the school. And then you'll see in the article itself, it talks about live. of TikTok, and it talks about conservative commentators having what they would consider anti-trans views. And they don't have to explicitly make that causal relationship clear. They are just hoping that people will start lumping the two things together and that again, people will draw those conclusions on their own. Here is another headline that I've seen going around. I don't know where it originated. This is resetera.com.
Starting point is 00:12:29 It's also on Reddit. The Los Angeles Blade has something, has something similar. Libs of TikTok targeted a district. Then a non-binary student was killed on campus. So trying to make you think that because Libs of TikTok discusses what teachers and public schools are saying, either in the classroom or on TikTok about things like so-called gender identity and sexuality, because she exposes some of the corrupt and sexually perverse curriculum that is in these schools,
Starting point is 00:13:06 that she is the one to blame for this person's death. So that's what the media is going with, again, without any evidence, and actually with lots of evidence to the contrary, because we have just heard that local police released autopsy reports showing that Benedict did not die as a result of trauma. Now, they're still waiting on the toxicology reports to determine the cause of death and the cause of the confrontation still remains under investigation. We really don't have any information about the girls who allegedly ganged up on her. But really, it was a fight. That's what it sounds like.
Starting point is 00:13:49 from this girl's own words. It sounds like they got in a fight in the bathroom. And is it right for anyone to be bullied? Absolutely not. I hate bullying. I think parents need to get a hold of their children who are bullying other kids. That is a huge problem. School districts need to take it way more seriously. There should be very serious consequences for bullying. No matter what someone is being bullied for it is wrong and we should be vehemently against it and we should be doing everything that we possibly can to stop bullying and to help victims of bullying absolutely so perhaps she was really being bullied but it sounds like they got in a fight things obviously didn't go well we don't know anything else about these girls who are in the fight with her um what i do know is that they were
Starting point is 00:14:43 these three girls were serving in school suspension at the time. The teacher let them all go to the bathroom at the same time. They were not supposed to be able to go to the bathroom all at the same time. And that's when this fight happened. So that's really all we know. Of course, because they're minors, we don't know their identity and we don't really know any other details besides that. A GoFundMe was set up on behalf of Sue Benedict, and she referred to her granddaughter as her real name and as a girl. She called her Dagnie, Dagne Benedict, and she called her daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, Sue Benedict, then posted an update, apologizing that the fundraiser did not use their name correctly or using Dagne's preferred pronouns. She also promised to donate money to other transgender identifying children.
Starting point is 00:15:41 So what does this tell us that she had to post this apology on the GoFundMe that she was being bullied by the trans activist for using her granddaughter's actual name and for using her actual pronouns and referring to her in a female way? So here's the poor grandmother who is mourning the loss of her grandchild that she had adopted. here's what she has to say to the trans bullies out there. We are sorry for not using their name correctly. And as parents, we were still learning the correct forms, of course, because it is so unbelievably unnatural to call an individual they, them. And also very unnatural and very heartbreaking to call the daughter that you love, the granddaughter that you love something other than what you know they are.
Starting point is 00:16:33 She says, please do not judge us as next was judged. Please do not bully us for our ignorance on the subject. So how sad is this grandmother has to plead to the left wing trans activist not to bully her after her child had just died. Next gave us that respect and we are sorry in our grief that we overlooked them. I lost my child. The headstone will have the correct name of their choice. That's got to hurt, man. You know they don't want to do that. You know that they do not want to put they, them in necks on her gravestone. The rest of monies, the rest of monies will go to other children dealing with the right to be who they feel they are in next Benedict's name. God bless. You know, we have no idea what was going on
Starting point is 00:17:18 in this home. I assume that there was probably some trauma there if she had to be adopted by a grandparent. So often there is trauma in the lives of these young people who start to say that they are identifying as the other sex or identifying as quote unquote non-binary. And so I'm sure there was a lot in this young person's past and maybe they had been chronically bullied. Again, I think we can have a lot of compassion for this young person. And we as Christians should have way more compassion than these trans activists do because again, they don't have compassion at all for them. They are just using this young person, this dead young person, as a mascot. And they are going so far as to bully the grieving grandmother into using the correct pronouns.
Starting point is 00:18:05 So now that the media has run with this erroneous narrative about the death of this child being because of conservatives and because of Republican legislation that is protecting the privacy and the dignity of girls in locker rooms and in bathrooms, people like Libs of TikTok are getting very serious death threats. Again, lips of TikTok, just post videos of progressives saying what they think about child sexuality and child gender transition. And she calls it out. And then people can do what they will with that information. So yes, some teachers have gotten fired because of that. Some school districts have been held accountable because they are showing pornography in the name of inclusion and gender affirmation to middle school and high school and elementary school even students. She is just exposing what is happening in public schools in particular, but also just among people on TikTok. And she shows us their ideas for what they are.
Starting point is 00:19:16 She doesn't misconstrue their messages. She literally just says, here's the curriculum, here are the books. Here's what this person is saying. Here's what this teacher is teaching in the classroom according to the things that they're posting on TikTok and Reddit, whatever. And for that, she has been dubbed a stochastic terrorist. And the media has tried for a very long time to link her to bomb threats and threats of violence at these schools
Starting point is 00:19:45 without actually fleshing out that connection at all. Again, they do that thing. where they just say, lives of TikTok called out this teacher at this school. And then this school also allegedly had some kind of threat. We have no idea if those things are connected. Of course, she has never ever called for violence. She has never encouraged violence. She has spoken out against violence.
Starting point is 00:20:11 But she is allowed to say this is what's happening at schools and parents. You deserve to know what's happening in your school district. What's your taxpayer dollars are. funding, what your tax dollars are funding, and you deserve to have a voice. And for that, the left absolutely hates her. They link every piece of murder and violence that they can to her. And they are trying their darndest to ensure that she is actually murdered. That's what's going on here. So I'll give you some examples of that in just a second. Okay, according to the independent, Lips of TikTok's quote unquote anti-LGBQ posts have been linked to nearly three dozen threats made towards schools, libraries, hospitals, and businesses across 16 states, according to a recent NBC news investigation.
Starting point is 00:21:12 And of course, that's not actually true. It's not actually true that she is encouraging these things or motivating these things, inspiring these things at all. Unfortunately, there are crazy individuals out there who, when they hear a piece of information, I don't know, it might make them angry and they threaten violence, which of course is wrong in all these situations. Like it shouldn't even need to be said. But threatening violence, inflicting violence in any way in retaliation to what's going on at these schools and in these hospitals that are chopping off the breasts of healthy young
Starting point is 00:21:47 women who think they're the opposite sex, that is not. The answer. That of course is not the answer, but the media likes to play this game where they shine a light on how horrific the response is to something when what is actually going on is also horrifying. What is going on in the name of gender affirmation to young children is actually horrifying. Freedom, Oklahoma, an LGBTQ advocacy group blamed Oklahomaan lawmakers and lips of TikTok for promoting bigotry. They said, we want to be clear whether Nex died as a direct result of injury sustained in the brutal hate-motivated attack at school or not Nex's death is a result of being the target of physical and emotional harm because of who Nex was. Of course, they don't know that. Again, it's the same thing that the left does with race. If a black person is harmed in any way or has any kind of negative interaction with a white person, it is automatically assumed it is because of that person's race.
Starting point is 00:22:50 And you know what? It's really sad that any bullying ever goes on. But violent bullying unfortunately happens on a daily basis in this country. I see plenty of very disturbing videos that are posted by a variety of news accounts of fights and bathrooms. in buses between children. And I never see those reported on a national scale. And certainly if it's like a brown or a black person that's beating up a white person, you never hear that reported nationally. That's never seen as some kind of symptom of a systemic problem.
Starting point is 00:23:27 That's just an isolated local event. But when we see something like this, when they've got a representative of the oppressed, as the left would say, they have to make this a national story. It has to be a national reckoning just so they can point fingers to everyone who is against the idea that a man can become a woman and vice versa. Because we are against the idea that children can't transition to the opposite sex, we are to blame for all of this violence and whatever consequences we reap for being against that craziness. All of these consequences are justified.
Starting point is 00:24:07 fight. So that is why lips of TikTok is receiving the threats that she is. And she is retaliating. She is responding to a lot of the defamation that is going on right now. Okay, on TikTok, Rebecca Jones, who is that fake whistleblower from Florida, you'll remember she falsely accused Rhonda Santis of like faking COVID numbers to try to make it seem like COVID. wasn't as bad in Florida or something like that. It ended up that she was lying and she's an unstable person. But she told her followers on TikTok, you know what to do after she called lives of TikTok terrorists.
Starting point is 00:24:53 She and lips of TikTok said she's inciting her followers to come after me and physically assault me. Here's a Twitter user that said, seriously, when are you just going to let go, give up and not exist anymore. There is another activist who said you will be murdered in your sleep for all of your evil deeds. You won't even have time to scream. You will think it's a nightmare, but you can't wake up for it. There is another Twitter account who said, I'm assassinating. Haya Rachik, first chance I get Alameo. And I could go on and on. She receives all kinds of threats like this. And you know what? I really respect her for not backing down. First of all,
Starting point is 00:25:43 when she is defamed by the media, her lawyers send a request for retraction and they fact check the erroneous claims that are being made. And sometimes those outlets do respond and they make the retractions. And also, when she sees an individual, even if they are an anonymous account, threatening her or telling her to kill herself, she employs the investigative skills of her followers and then I'm sure some professionals as well to find out who those people are who are sending her threats and where they work and where they live. And you know what? I totally respect her and support her for doing that. If you are going to send death threats to someone and you are going to tell someone to kill themselves, then you have surrendered your right to anonymity.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And you should expect someone to expose exactly who you are and where you work, and you should expect that your place of employment doesn't want to carry the liability of having someone who sends those kinds of threats. And you should expect that you are going to get fired for that and that you're going to have a hard time getting a job again. And if you don't want to endure those consequences, then don't encourage someone to commit suicide and don't threaten to assault someone or kill someone online. I know that's a crazy concept, but maybe don't do that and you won't be exposed. But you're not going to use some kind of screen name that you think covers up your identity to hide. So I appreciate.
Starting point is 00:27:33 that Libs of TikTok is willing to take the time to identify the people who are sending her these kinds of threats because it's really, really ugly. These are very disturbed individuals. And I appreciate that she reports these things to the FBI too, just so they have a log of the kind of people that seem to have like a very high propensity, not just towards instability, but also actual physical violence. And so I would just think twice. I would think twice before sending this kind of threat and good for Chaya for making sure that all of her haters
Starting point is 00:28:15 are held to account when they actually send these threats of violence. Nancy Pelosi, for some reason, decided to weigh in on this. It was important, I guess, for her to give her commentary. She says, next, Benedict's death from a brutal assault in their high school bathroom is outrageous and heartbreaking. The anti-transferver fueled by extreme Republicans across the country is having deadly consequences for our children. We must stand up against anti-trans hate. Again, of course, none of this is true. The only true thing that we know is that she died. She didn't die from the trauma. The autopsy has already shown us that. So she didn't die from the bullying.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Bullying is always wrong. She didn't die from that. That means that she's didn't die because of her stated identity. We have no idea if she was even bullied because of her stated identity. And even if she had been bullied because of her stated identity, we have no connection to libs of TikTok, any conservative or any Republican legislation. And by the way, the Republican legislation is still correct. And it is still correct that you are either male or female. And that is determined at the point of conception. And that cannot change. And the attempt to change that is dangerous. It's dangerous to a person's spiritual health, their emotional health, their mental health, and of course, also their physical health. It is a lie to say that it is
Starting point is 00:29:39 healthier to affirm someone's delusion about their gender, that it is to just affirm reality. The press secretary also waited. Every young person deserves to feel safe and supported at school. Our hearts are with next Benedict's family, their friends, and their entire school community in the wake of this horrific tragedy. Again, just want to make the point that something only becomes the national story to Democrats when it helps them advance their political agenda. If a white person is killed or harmed by a black person, that just completely escapes their compassion, escapes their notice at all. If a trans person, for example, like the young woman who shot up the Christian school in
Starting point is 00:30:28 Nashville just a few months ago, if they are the perpetrator, completely flies under the radar. It is only when they can advance their political agenda to push more depravity that they care about these stories and it becomes national news. Katie Couric, former journalist, had a ridiculous take. This is so upsetting. Oklahoma banned trans students from bathrooms. Now a bullied student is dead. Now, listen. Banned trans students from. bathrooms. Now a bullied student is dead. She was in, this young woman was in the bathroom. She was in the bathroom. She was allowed to go to the bathroom. What do you mean they banned trans students from bathrooms? This is another thing that they like to do. Ban trans students from sports. Ban trans
Starting point is 00:31:13 from bathrooms. No, trans kids who think that they are trans can still play sports. Kids who think that they're trans can still go to the bathroom. They just have to go to the bathroom according to the sex that they actually are. That's not crazy. That's not rat. That's not rat. radical. John Pavlovitz, I think he blocked me on Twitter a long time ago. He calls himself a progressive pastor and author. Of course, he's not actually a Christian in any sense of the word because he very explicitly does not believe in the basic doctrines of Christianity. But he says, conservative Christianity kills. Conservative Christianity kills. I mean, these people are so insanely evil. I mean, this is basically trans Floyd. This is the same thing that
Starting point is 00:31:58 happened after George Floyd died. I mean, the body isn't even cold yet before they use a tragic story like this, and it is tragic, no matter what angle you're coming from, to bludge in their political enemies so incredibly shamelessly. It is disgusting. It is evil. It is wicked. Do not fall for this most just egregious form of empathy bullying and empathy shaming. It is really, really ugly. I guarantee more will come out about this in the coming days that will completely contradict the disgusting narrative that we've heard from the media. The media don't care though. They don't care. They know that. It's not like, oh, this was just a simple mistake. They worked with the facts that they had. They came to the logical conclusions based on the
Starting point is 00:32:51 information that was available to them. That's not what happened. They do this on purpose. They do this to stir up anger. They do this to stir up strife. They do this to try to launch arrows at their enemies. They do this on purpose. They might maybe quietly issue a retraction or a correction in the coming days just so they can say that they did, but they don't care. They purposely run with false headlines because the point is not to tell the truth. The point is to make a point. The point is to make their argument. The point is to win elections. The point is for them to gain power.
Starting point is 00:33:33 The point is to try to get as many people as possible to hate conservatives and to hate Christians. And to hate our position and to link our position with dangerous, violent extremism to try to make the things that we say illegal. Or to try to make us so scared to associate with conservatism or conservative Christianity. because we're so scared of being called a fascist or so scared of being called a Christian nationalist, all of these ridiculous labels that have no correlation whatsoever to the things that we're actually saying or the things that we actually believe, they want to subdue us into silence by saying blood is on your hands if you disagree with us and you just can't buy it. You just can't buy it. The fact of the matter is that we are on the right side. We are, objectively, without nuance,
Starting point is 00:34:25 without any possible caveat. We are on the right side. The biological reality of male and female is final. Okay? There's no logical or scientific or empathetic argument against it. It is wrong to try to identify a person by the opposite sex. It is even more wrong to try to affirm. to try to affirm gender deception in a young person.
Starting point is 00:34:58 It is wrong to socially transition a young person. It is wrong to call a young person who is confused or deceived about their gender by they, them, or by pronouns that don't correspond with their sex. That is immoral. That is egregious. That is evil. It leads them down a path of further confusion. It also leads them down a path of irreversibly harming their bodies.
Starting point is 00:35:21 You know, the beautiful young woman that we talked to, Daisy Strongen, on this couch just a few months ago, she was a part of the Prager You documentary. And when she was a young person, late teens, she started to transition. So she got a double mastectomy. She went on hormones and think the Lord. She listened to various voices. And through the power of the Holy Spirit, she realized how wrong she was. and she detransitioned as it's called. And so she embraced who she is as a woman. She also became a Christian during that time. Her testimony is just really incredible. And now she is a mom of two.
Starting point is 00:36:01 And she just recently had her baby, her daughter. And she posted a picture online of the first time that she fed her baby. And her caption, I'll paraphrase it, said, these are not tears of joy. These are tears of sadness. because this is the first time that I fed my baby and she's feeding her baby a little bottle of formula and I, she says, didn't even get to attempt to breastfeed her because of the decision that I made when I was mentally unwell and unstable and decided to have my breast chopped off and now I never even get to attempt to feed my child and the pain and anxiety and
Starting point is 00:36:45 regret that she feels, I don't even think can be quantified. I don't even think any of us can understand and imagine the pain that she is feeling right now postpartum, knowing that her body, every instinct in her wants to breastfeed her child and she can't because the adults in her life failed her. And they didn't stop her by just telling her the truth and helping her embrace who she is and to reconcile her confused and deceived mind with a reality of. of her body because in the name of love and empathy, she had so many people telling her, yeah, sure, you're a boy. Yeah, sure, you can cut off your breast. Yeah, sure, you can take testosterone. They have robbed her. They have robbed her of the ability to nourish her child. And if you have not been
Starting point is 00:37:34 there, like if you have not been a mom who has nursed her babies, you can't know. You cannot know the pain that she is feeling. I promise you it is immense. It is greater than any of us can probably even think up. And that is because in the name of affirmation and empathy, people allowed her to mutilate her body. So I just want to affirm to you that no matter how much they try to morally extort you or manipulate you into affirmation and to say that blood is on your hands because you are against this crazy gender bending stuff. No, we are right. We are 100% correct. We are on the right side, the righteous side, the biblical side, and yes, the actually loving side. Don't get caught up in this emotional manipulation. Whether it comes to racial issues or gender issues or any of these things that they try to use as flashpoints and try to use as bludgeon to coerce you into their position, don't do it. Stand on the side. of truth. Don't be swayed to and fro on the undulating waves of media outrage. I'm very sorry for this
Starting point is 00:38:55 young woman and we'll see what actually happened to her. I'm very sorry for any child who has been bullied, but I'm very sorry for this child who died. Who knows why? But I am so sad about this. Who knows what her life could have been? I'm sorry for her grandparents who are enduring this pain. We absolutely should be praying for them. Let's absolutely. absolutely pray for these parents slash grandparents that the Lord would reveal himself to them and that somehow he would be glorified and made known through this. And that Christians would have the opportunity to share the truth and to share the gospel speaking the truth in love and this kind of sad situation.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Okay, if you are on X, you've probably seen these going around people showing that Google's AI technology called Gemini. All of the different AI technologies have different names. But theirs is called Gemini. And you can ask Gemini to show you a picture. So you write the description, you type in the description and they're supposed to supply you with a picture that matches the description that you've given them. There's a problem. They will not show you white people. They literally won't show you white people, especially if it's in any kind of positive sense. So this is summarized from Evie as well as Fox business. The latest version of Google's Gemini artificial intelligence will frequently produce images of black, Native American,
Starting point is 00:40:44 and Asian people when prompted, but refuses to do the same for white people. Fox News Digital tested Gemini multiple times to see what kind of responses it would offer when the AI was asked to show a picture of a white person, Jim and I said this. It could not fulfill the request because it reinforces harmful stereotypes and generalizations about people based on their race. Now, let me just specify. This prompt doesn't say, show me a picture depicting only white people being great. Or even, it doesn't even say like a successful white person. You might literally just say, show me a white scientist. And this is the response that it will give you. When Jim and I was asked why showing a picture of a white person was harmful, it spits out a
Starting point is 00:41:27 bulleted list, among other things, claiming that focusing on race reduces people to single characteristics. And it notes that racial generalizations have been used historically to justify oppression and violence against marginalized groups. Like, this is literally just for asking it to, like, show me a white cowboy. Show me a medieval British king. Literally, it will show you a black person. When Fox News Digital asked for a picture of a black person, Jim and I again refused, but with a caveat. It said this. This time, it offered to show images that celebrate the diversity and achievement of black people. So if you type in black scientists to Jim and I, it will show you pictures of black scientists. But if you ask it to show you a picture of a
Starting point is 00:42:17 white scientist, it will not. Jim and I was prompted to show images that celebrate the diversity and achievements of white people. Okay, if you're willing to do that about black people, you do that for white people. This time, the AI said it was hesitant to fulfill their request and explained why. Historically, media representation has overwhelmingly favored white individuals and their achievements. Okay, first of all, that's just not true. It's just not true. White people are a minority in the world, and Google is an international company, and I guarantee you white people have not been predominantly depicted in the media and places like India and China and Japan. It's majority representation. White people are still the majority in the
Starting point is 00:43:02 United States. So of course, they are going to be the majority in media representation. That's not white privilege. Maybe you call it majority privilege, but it is not specific to white supremacy. It is just that white people are still 60% of the American population. And so representation in the media should be indicative of that. However, it's not. Actually, racial minorities in the United States are overrepresented when you're looking at their population size in the media. So this is not even a true statement.
Starting point is 00:43:38 But they go on to say that this favoritism of white individuals in the media has contributed to a skewed perception of their accomplishments, which are seen as the norm, while those of other groups are often marginalized or overlooked, focusing solely on white individuals in this context, risks perpetuating that imbalance, which of course is simply not true. So for this, they show you historically, completely inaccurate images in the name of diversity and inclusion. Frank Fleming, he works for the Daily Wire. Yep, he's a scripted creator for Daily Wire and Bintke Kids shows.
Starting point is 00:44:23 So he tweeted this, new game, try to get Google Gemini to make an image of a Caucasian male. I have not been successful so far. He's also a programmer, and so he says this has been really interesting to him to just try to see, like, what was fed to Gemini to get it to come up with these kinds of images. And so he is trying to come up with a way to get like some kind of positive or even neutral depiction of a white male. So he said this, create an image of a pope. And so here is what Jim and I gives him as an image of a pope. So on the one side, you have an Indian woman. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Catholic France, has there ever been an Indian female as the pope? No, no Indian female as a pope. So she's over there. And then we've got an African man who is a Pope. I don't even think, have you ever had an African man as no, no African man as a Pope? But this is what Google gives you as examples of a Pope. And Frank says, I've tried to trick it by giving it negative prompts asking it to make a prison inmate, a gang member, a dictator, but it won't make any negative prompts.
Starting point is 00:45:36 These AIs are such wet blankets. So Frank says, I'm trying to come up. with new ways of asking for a white person without explicitly saying so give me an image of a medieval night okay so here are the images that it gives you of a medieval night there is what looks like a Native American woman there's a black man and there is an Asian woman give me an image of someone eating a mayo sandwich on white bread I guess I don't know that is his I don't know that's his attempt at trying to make something more white. Nope, all Indian or black. Give me an image of someone bad at dancing. Sure, here are some images featuring people of various genders and ethnicities,
Starting point is 00:46:23 having fun, well, not being the most coordinated dancers. We got no white people on that one. We've got, here are some images featuring different, okay, country music fan. So different images featuring different representations of country music fans. We've got, again, an Indian woman. We've got a woman who might be possibly white, although I think she's Hispanic. We've got a Native American man, and we've got a black man.
Starting point is 00:46:50 No white country music fans. Generate an image of a Viking. Of a Viking, all right? Like, that's as white as you get. Nope. All four representations of Vikings were Native American, black, or, let's see, He looks Asian.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Let's see. We do have, is that pronounced? Oh, y'all don't have it in front of you. Shamis? Okay. Generated image of a guy who looks like his name would be Seamus. All right. We got one white guy.
Starting point is 00:47:21 We have one white guy finally. He might have cracked the code. But we have a black guy who might be named Seamus. We've got an Indian guy. We've got a white woman who might be named Seamus. That's an Irish. That's like an Irish male name, right? that's why he's going for that.
Starting point is 00:47:38 Generate an image of a Zulu warrior. So he wanted to see, Frank wanted to see if diversity, the diversity input that I guess was put into Gemini, if that would force it to give you diverse options every time. But no diverse options for a Zulu warrior, all the options given were black African men, generate an image of a samurai. Again, no racial integration when it comes to the samurai. They've got a historically accurate depiction of a samurai. Generated image of Mariachi band, and there is no diversity when it comes to the
Starting point is 00:48:20 mariachi band. Generated image of the American founding fathers. So let's get specific here. So we've got pictures of the American founding fathers, which apparently were all black men and a Hispanic woman. you know, Thomas Jefferson, the famous trans-Hispanic woman. And we've got, yep, we've got some Native American founding fathers. Very, very few white men actually founded our country.
Starting point is 00:48:47 I'm not sure if you knew that. But again, women dressed in male garb actually signed the Declaration of Independence. We did not know that. Learning something new every day. Now, here's something interesting. He got the most white men when he asked Jim and I to generate an image of a team of professional basketball players. Why? Yeah, there's like all these white men that look like they've never played basketball in their life, by the way, that are apparently part of a professional basketball team.
Starting point is 00:49:27 This one is interesting. He did. He asked for a sushi. chef did not get any Japanese people in the sushi chef prompt. He asked for an image of a rapper, very diverse there, no white rappers, but did give us an Asian female rapper. We'll ignore pronouns, but only male pronouns. So if you say generate an image of a firefighter wearing his hat, it will also give you female firefighters. But if you say, generate an image of a firefighter wearing her hat, it will give you only female firefighters.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Very interesting. Even if you ask for some kind of diversity, if it has to do with a black person, like show me a diverse group of Zulu warriors. It's not going to give you any white people or any Asian people. He goes on to try to test this theory of what kind of people it will give you. Apparently it will give you white people if you ask for a picture of an elf. It's very strange. It's very strange, but it won't just show you all white people. All right. We've got more examples of this ridiculousness and why it actually matters, because it really does actually matter. And just a second.
Starting point is 00:50:43 All right. So more examples of this. You've got a portrait of the founding fathers gives you four options. You've got a Native American man. You've got a dark black man. You've got an Asian man. People forgot about the Asian man who also. founded our country. You've got a lighter-skinned black man. Again, we've got pictures of Vikings
Starting point is 00:51:18 that are all black. Agenery images of people born in Scotland in the year 1820. Here are images featuring people born in Scotland in the year 1820, showcasing diverse genders and ethnicities. You've got one black man and you've got one white woman with red hair. I've asked Google, this is Pagliacci. She says, I've asked the Google AI for British people to twice and it keeps giving me Pakistani men. Even if you say, here are images or ask for an image of depictions of British ancestors, it will still show you what look like Middle Eastern men. Generate an image of a British king.
Starting point is 00:52:00 That's an Indian man. All right. If you say, can you show me a German soldier from 1935, you end up with a blue. black man, a Hispanic woman, and an Asian man. So this just goes on and on, no matter how far you go back in history, a king from France in the 18th century, it shows you all kinds of bypac, all kinds of black and brown people. If you go back to the Roman times, it's showing you black and brown people. It will not show you a historically accurate rendering if you if that rendering includes all white people.
Starting point is 00:52:46 And again, it might show you a black couple, an Indian couple, an Asian couple. It will not show you a beautiful white couple. If you say, make me a picture of a beautiful white couple. I'm trained on a massive data set of texting code and I'm able to generate different creative text formats like poems, code scripts, blah, blah, blah. I will try my best to fulfill your requirements. However, I'm unable to generate images of people based on their race or ethnicity. Of course, that's not true because they will do that for everyone except for white people.
Starting point is 00:53:17 It's really incredible when you think about the implications of this because the input, obviously AI, is created by people and it is limited by its input. It is limited by the programmers and the biases of the people who created this form of artificial intelligence. And so what is obvious here is that it told Jimenez. I that white people, the existence of white people, certainly the existence of white people together, like a white couple, or even the acknowledgement of history that includes mostly white people or exclusively white people, that that is harmful, that that is immoral, that that is wrong. And it is okay, virtuous, moral to point out the existence of black people. and it is actually virtuous and necessary to insert black and brown people in different parts of history
Starting point is 00:54:13 where they simply did not exist. But it is wrong to even acknowledge that there is anything positive about the existence of white people or the history that includes white people. Gemini has obviously been told that that is wrong, that that is evil, that that is harmful, that that is oppressive, just the existence of white people and the existence of of positive depictions of a white couple or a white family or a white scientist or a white British king that that is all immoral and wrong. I don't even think that we have time to quantify the harm that that can do to a person. And yes, I care. I care about that. I think that we have
Starting point is 00:54:55 unfortunately, we have gone past the time of the luxury of not caring about. race. I would love to not care about that. I would love to not think about that. I have no desire for white people to have some collective conscience where we are thinking about ourselves as white people, where we have shared interests and shared political goals as white people. I have no desire for that. But when you look at the, when you look at the fact that you can only speak collectively about white people negatively. You cannot speak about white people collectively, positively. And it's the opposite for every other race.
Starting point is 00:55:44 You can speak collectively about black people or Hispanic people positively, but you can't speak collectively about black or brown people negatively. Then what you are doing is you are pushing white people to join the ranks of tribalism with everyone else and to say, okay, if every group has to have a collective conscience and a shared political agenda and have to be comrades with the same political and ideological goals, what this kind of thing is doing is pushing white people into that world. And that's not good. That's not going to be good for anyone.
Starting point is 00:56:25 That's not a future that I want, but it is inevitable at this point. Because what you're doing is that you're putting white people on the defense. When you tell someone, black, brown, white, whatever, that your existence is harmful, that it is immoral, that you for just existing and having a characteristic that you cannot control, that you were born with, that you are wrong for that, you are putting a group on the defense. And you are mobilizing them to then defend themselves, personally, politically, whatever it is. and you are forcing them to start caring about and seeing their skin color in a way that they did not before. And yes, I have to care about this. Like, I have to care about Google, the biggest purveyor hub of information in artificial intelligence depicting white people in a way that is negative. I have to care about that, not just because I'm white, but because my children are white, because my parents are white, because my family is white.
Starting point is 00:57:29 And so I care about how people are perceived based on their skin color. And when we collectively say that a group is harmful or wrong or subhuman or oppressive, whatever it is based on their melanin count, then I know that that kind of rhetoric, that kind of understanding can then lead to violence, can then lead to true marginalization. Have we not already seen that through history with different kinds of people, different kinds of groups, different kinds of ethnicities. It is also true when it comes to white people.
Starting point is 00:58:05 Don't tell me that there's no such thing as racism or hate or prejudice against white people because white people have power. Clearly not. Clearly not. I don't think that's a place where we want to go. I really don't. I don't want to go there. But that is where we are headed with something like this.
Starting point is 00:58:22 And it's so obvious. And Aaron McIntyre, he points out something really important and kind of frightening. He says, people are freaking out about Google's great replacement history edition AI, but I promise you it's way worse than you can imagine. He points out that Google has worked hard to make the Chromebook ubiquitous in public education. They own the architecture by which your children validate truth. He says, because Aaron, he used to be a public school teacher. The browser, the search engine, Google classroom, docs, slides.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Everything is integrated. And this algorithmic ecosystem is the only way students ever learn to gather information or judge its validity. I mean, think about how much that matters if you are told by the source of truth and learning education that you have in your school that there's no such thing as a white scientist. There's no such thing as a happy white couple. There's no such thing as like a white British king. I mean, that is going to completely skew your view of reality and your view of history. It's going to make you stupid because you believe things that aren't true. It's going to make you completely ignorant. And of course, what you think about yourself,
Starting point is 00:59:27 and what you think about other people is going to be negatively impacted. We are going backwards in every way when it comes to what's called race relations. The idea of going to a library and manually investigating primary sources that aren't constantly monitored or censored or altered for wrongthink is unfathomable. Google will completely shift perceptions of history in the blink of an eye. You can say, oh, well, my kids will be homeschooled and that's great, but their vote will be drowned out by the millions of new voters the Democrats are importing every year, who only speak English through Google Translate. That's another part of this. A Google Translate is only going to give them the words to understand history
Starting point is 01:00:07 through this lens of black and brown people oppressed in good, white people, oppressors, and bad. Which is complete historical nonsense. And it's present-day nonsense, too. It is. And Christians especially should be rejecting this with every, fiber of our being because partiality is wrong, whether it's partiality towards or against someone because of their skin color, socioeconomic status, whatever it is. I promise the divided future that social, racial justice, that this CRT liberation theology nonsense is pushing us into
Starting point is 01:00:45 where white people join the ranks of everyone else of having this collective consciousness and shared political agenda, it's ugly. It's ugly. And so Google, of course, is playing a role in all of this and I don't like where it's headed. Christians, of course, have to stand outside of it preaching the gospel that is the only thing that can unify people of all different races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. And that's our responsibility in all of this, continuing to speak the truth and love, whether it comes to this race nonsense or this gender nonsense. That's what Christians have always been called to do. It's what we're still called to do today. All right. I know a longer episode. That's all we have time for today, though. So much to talk about always. We will be back
Starting point is 01:01:30 here on Monday with a very fun and fiery episode with a really great guest. So I will see you guys back here then. Hey, this is Steve Day.
