Reply All - A Message About the Future of the Show

Some news: Emmanuel and Alex will be stepping away from making the show. And this iteration of Reply All will be ending in late June. This isn’t a decision that was made by any one person. Reply All has always been a super collaborative project which is what we’ve loved so much about making it. Ultimately, staff who have been working on this show for a long time – in some cases five, six, seven years at this point – are ready to pursue other things. Hey, Alex. Hey, man. How's it going? It's going. I mean... I guess I set you up pretty weirdly to get into this topic. But yeah, uh, hi, Emmanuel. We have an announcement.

Oh, dear Lord, save me. Okay. Well, yes, we are here with an announcement, which is, I don't know, it's a sad thing, but it's also, I don't know, it's bittersweet, which is, uh, I don't know how to say this. how many years you worked how long have you worked in the show Alex? Started in November 2014 so 7 and a half

a little more than 7. So after 7 and a half years for you and like a couple years for me we like the staff of reply we're walking away from the show I don't know we've been doing this thing for a long time and now some of us who want to go try out different things so that's what it is

it's time yeah I feel like David Lee Roth leaving Van Halen. Like I feel like I'm always going to be associated with this show.

And honestly, if that's the case, could be worse. Really proud of some of the stuff that I worked on. And honestly, like, the hardest part of this was not, like, I don't get to make reply

all stories anymore. It's just like, I don't get to work with Tim and Fia and Damiano and Lisa, Anna, Sonia and Kim and you, Emmanuel. Like, I don't get to work

with all of these people anymore because I truly love everyone I work with. I have so much fun with them. They're the smartest, most amazing people in the world. The show is impossible to make without them. I can't begin to list everything they do, but they come up with some of the best and weirdest story ideas. They feed me all my good questions.

Like I'm just really going to miss them. I'm really going to miss everybody. I'm going to miss you too, Alex. But okay, what do the people need to know, Alex? need to know when our last episode is, which is June 23rd. That's right. And we hope you listen. See you soon.
