Because I never had done a dual account before, but we're both clearly on the guillotine at the same exact time.
So, that's pretty cool.
Yeah, you're right.
I can't do it.
Fuck.
I swear to God, if I slip up, just humiliate me, and I'll internalize it as trauma.
There you go.
There I know voices in my head.
Only ghosts of too many dead Frenchmen.
I talk to talk.
But I never learned the language.
Walk the fine line between free speech.
incitement you can kiss my first amendment my rights don't stem from a piece of paper I
exist and that's it to answer the questions everyone's asking our words are on everyone's lips
we may not speak the same language but our words are on everyone's lips to answer the questions
everyone's asking our words are on everyone's lips we may not speak the same language but our
words are on everyone's lips
Welcome to the guillotine.
Greetings and salutations from the capitalist death world known as Earth.
I am Dr. Bones and we have Brett from the infamous Rev Left Radio and both of us are
coming together tonight for a brand new show entitled The Geotene.
What is this show about, you may ask?
Well, folks, me and Brett one day were talking and we decided that there was time for a new
kind of podcast, a new kind of show to reach the hearts and minds of the people.
You've got your pockets full of theory.
You've got plenty of ideas, but we want to insight, inspire, and agitate you.
Think of this as your own personal revolutionary new show that isn't afraid to name the names
and mention some highly, highly illegal activities in lieu of a brokering peace with them.
So, also, on another note, now, this first show will be our beta test, as it were.
Every episode after this is going to be a lot more cleaned up.
It'll be live streamed, which will be a big difference from this one.
But basically, we wanted to give you wonderful folks a taste at what we're going for.
Brett, do you have anything to add to that?
Yeah, absolutely.
One of the tough things we're going to try to do is live calls.
At first, it's going to be a little rocky.
It's pretty difficult to get live calls spliced into me and Bones
who are talking over Skype.
So just bear with us on that front, but we're going to get better.
And this is, you know, like Bones alluded to earlier,
on RevLeft Radio we do theory, we do interviews.
This is us covering global news, current events,
and engaging with the community, engaging with our comrades
because we feel like it's important to give you guys a voice
and give you guys a platform and to build
community through actually talking to you instead of talking at you or just listening into us.
So we very much want this to reflect the sort of communal ideas inherent in most leftist
tendencies and most leftist thought. So I'm super excited about this. We're going to be, you know,
going by the seat of our pants. So we're going to mess up sometimes. It's going to be rocky at
first, but I'm pretty confident that over an episode or two we can really smooth this thing out
and make it into a well-oiled machine. So I'm super excited.
Absolutely. And if you're playing the polished version of this at work, be prepared for a lot of fucks. So, I mean, depending on if you want your, you know, co-workers and or managers nearby, you know, when we're talking about, you know, the wide-scale, you know, totally rhetorical and metaphorical slaughter of the wealthy, you know, hey, that that's up to you.
Exactly.
All right, let's get into the stories. So last week, on,
Saturday, November 11th, there was an enormous fascist rally in Warsaw, Poland. Over 60,000
people marched through the streets of Warsaw on the 99th anniversary of Poland's independence.
The fascist rally, which was organized by a far-right-wing organization called the Radical Camp,
a callback reference to a fascist movement in Poland in the 1930s, attracted fascist,
nationalists, and other similar far-right-wing groups and individuals from all over Europe,
including Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Spain, Germany, the UK, and many more.
Signs from the March read things like Europe will be white and clean blood,
and chance from the crowd included Refugees Out and Pure Poland, White Poland,
and even chance of Sieghale, accompanied by Nazi salutes,
which, incidentally, are technically illegal in Poland.
The AP reported that a group of counter-demonstrating women
holding up a sign that read Stop Fascism,
were descended upon by a group of fascists and were pushed and kicked.
This, of course, echoes a long history of fascist targeting women.
Here in the U.S., the alt-right group, known as the Proud Boys,
have a reputation for following women as they leave left-wing rallies
and attacking them when they are alone.
Fascism, situated on the extreme right as it is,
is a male-dominated, chauvinist ideology
that largely views women as mere vehicles
through which to produce more white babies.
The anxiety over quote-unquote purity,
and quote-unquote clean blood point to this reality.
But I digress.
The rally was commended by the far right-wing political party in Poland
known as the Law and Justice Party.
And far-right-wing goons and media outlets all over the West
applauded the march as a rally of so-called patriots,
emphasizing the fact that it was supposedly an Independence Day celebration
to cynically conceal the major role played by fascists
in the organizing and carrying out of the event.
There were counter-demonstrations, too.
About 2,000 anti-fascists rallied nearby, but were kept away from the march by police.
It's been reported that 45 people were arrested at this rally, but none of the arrests came from the fascist side.
This fact, of course, is no surprise to leftists who follow the news and engage in activity.
The far right and the police are always heavily overlapping Venn diagrams,
and police tend to find far more sympathy with the far right than they ever do with the far left.
This, in my opinion, is reflective of the simple sort of.
of the similar sorts of personality types that are drawn to both policing and fascism,
namely authoritarian right-wing mentalities, obsessed with law and order,
drawn heavily to strongman autocrats,
and who take pleasure in the exercise of violent authority over others,
especially those they deem other.
This event is merely a manifestation of a far more broad increase in fascism
all over Europe and the Americas,
from Francoist flags and salutes in Spain in opposition to the campaign,
in opposition to the Catalan independence movement,
to Nazi and neo-Confederate scumbags marching,
beating, and even murdering people here in Charlottesville,
to the rise of the AFD in Germany,
along with a sharp increase in hate crimes there,
including three neo-Nazis murdering an African immigrant
in the town of Haleigh.
Witnesses said they showed no remorse in the courtroom
upon hearing accusations that they kept kicking
and beating their alleged victim even after he stopped moving.
All over the West, fascism is on the rise,
aided and abetted by a slew of right-wing media outlets, right-wing politicians,
and even more center-right conservatives and liberals who routinely come to the defense of fascists
and their so-called right to organize and recruit.
But it's not all bad.
The dialectic ensures that.
In every country and in every major city where fascists are organizing, so are anti-fascists.
In the streets of Berlin, for example, nearly every lamp post on some blocks have Antifa stickers on them.
In the U.S. for the first time in almost a century, a truly strong anti-fascist movement has been developing for over a year.
And in Poland, only a few days after the massive march in Warsaw, the city of Poznan was flooded with around 700 anti-fascists,
marching in direct opposition to the presence of a prominent fascist named Robert Winneke,
who came to Poznan to have a meeting with other fascists at a bar in the center of the city.
The police, of course, prevented the large Antifa group from engaging with the much smaller group of fascists.
but the meeting had to be called early and the fascists left with no further incident.
And this is the important thing to keep in mind.
Wherever the fascist right pops up its ugly head, we will be there to smash it in.
Comrades all over this planet are organizing as we speak to stand up to the toxic fascist right
and defend our communities from their infiltration.
In Pazin, the site of hundreds of anti-fascists dressed in all black, taking over entire blocks of the city,
was a truly beautiful thing to behold.
We will not be intimidated, we will not be silenced, we will not be cowards who sit back and let these barbarians take power.
Death to fascism, death to racism, and death to every Nazi worm who slithers in our streets, they shall not pass.
Hell yeah, fuck those pieces of shit.
That's right.
I just want to add on that, folks, you know, this is, this is, you know, not a joke.
You know, it's so often framed in the U.S., especially by the last.
liberal angles here that, you know, the proud boys and the Nazis, they're just fringe
groups. You know, there's this narrative that one day we're going to wake up and America's
going to come to its senses and we're all going to go to the polls and vote Republican and Democrat
again, folks, that time is over. Okay, you look at Poland, we're looking at 60,000. That's an
army, okay? And God help the person that's caught up in the middle of that, those people to
surely amass at that kind of level, to get those kind of numbers. Those people absolutely,
100% have the cops behind it. They have the state behind them. They have all sorts of government
agencies working with them, as Brett mentioned here. This goes to show. This is what happens when
you let these movements organize on their own like the cancer. They are. You have to meet these
people with force. There's no other way. If you let them fester, you're going to be facing
five one day. You're going to be facing 10, 15, 20. It's only going to get more.
more and more larger and it's just going to get increasingly dangerous for you and your family
members. So when you see these fascists organize, it is not just an existential threat. It is a physical
infection and a physical threat against you and all of your loved ones. We start taking this
even more seriously and shut it down as soon as we see it with force. Absolutely. And I do want
to mention that, you know, it was, it was overlapping with the Polish Independence Day.
Not every single, I mean, you see, when you talk about this online, you see pictures be thrown
up by right-wing apologists with pictures of kids and families marching. There were elements
of that, but the overarching organizational structure and the event itself was largely hijacked
and taken over by the fascist right. And I have a friend in Poland who informed me that
usually these Independence Day rallies, they churn out 50 to 75K, and because of the Nazi
presence, they did, it did decrease overall. So the number of average Polish citizens
willing to come out for this event decreased, but the number of fascist all over Europe
flooding into Poland for this event increased. So it was very much a fascist event. Not every
single human being on the ground in that march was a fascist, but it was a coalition of the
right and the fascist element was by far the strongest and most pronounced and most organizational
elements in that entire entire march so i want to be clear about that yeah and it just goes to show
again that uh any kind of nationalism is just so susceptible to this line of thing that's how
they worm you in first they talk about how great your country is how proud and noble it is
how you've got to defend it and then it's just a slippery slope to making a white europe these
things are all connected folks again once you see these things once you start seeing the flags up
once you start seeing the patriotic slogans it is literally two steps away from goose stepping and
crowds of people just beating the shit out of minority which we've already seen that here in
america oh absolutely and it's only going to get worse unless there's a very large and forceful
revolt against it and i'm i'm talking force against force it's only get you can look at europe
with its very liberal policies that has sort of, you know, had the kid gloves on, you know,
liberal democracies, quote, unquote, in Europe have taken a step back, whereas the right-leaning
organizations in Europe have been, you know, fostering this kind of behavior. But all in all,
whether it's left alone or it's being aided, these things are just continuing to faster.
And we can look at the United States where we're seeing our own infection now. And just like any
infection, sometimes you just got to cut that bastard out with a scalpel.
Yeah. And when you look at Neil,
liberal imperialism and how it affects areas, you know, the Syrian civil war or in the future
coming soon climate change, this mass migration of people that is an inevitable result of
certain neoliberal policies, it provokes these sorts of conditions that give rise to fascist
movements. The neoliberal gutting out of communities makes people turn to abstract communities.
So in lieu of an actual real community, people look desperately, subconsciously for
for more abstracted communities, whether that's your football team or whether that's your
color of your skin as a white man or whatever it may be, I think we have to understand that
neoliberalism generally breeds the conditions that ultimately gives rise to fascism.
And so if we want to defeat fascism, we have to realize that fascism is merely a symptom
of a much deeper disease, and we have to address both the symptom and the disease in order to
ever finally solve the problem.
Absolutely. And speaking of neoliberalism, I wanted to address something here.
I'm sure you folks may have seen this.
If you haven't, buckle in, sit down.
Libya, if you all remember, was touted as an unstable and dangerous state.
You know, a threat to world peace, brutally oppressed its own people and had to be dealt with.
And naturally, just as Americans do, we just bombed the ever-living piss out of it, made sure that Gaddafi got killed by militias that we sponsored.
And as we all know, I'm sure, today the sand south of Tripoli.
We stand as a testament to the proudest forms of Athenian democracy, right? Right? Just kidding. It's
actually a Mad Max style fucking wasteland. And it's one so bad that now migrants on their way to
Europe are being sold into literal slavery. Okay, recently a CNN team acquired undercover footage
of a slave auction, okay, taking place right outside the capital of Libya. In the video,
two men are being offered up for sale as part of a group of, quote, big strong boys for
farm work, according to the auctioneer, who remains off camera, and they're bit on like cattle,
people calling out different numbers and everything like that. Now, CNN, you know, being the
so lost liberal news organization, just couldn't understand how such a country that had
been liberated by the wonderful United States could fall so, so far. So they decided,
to go check it out for themselves. Not only was the video true, it was in fact worse than
they even thought possible. According to migrants interviewed by CNN, tons and tons of people
have been sold into slavery. They've been beaten. They've been starved. They've been mutilated.
They had people going up showing them the different scars and burn marks and everything all
over their body. When pressed, okay, when asked, the Libyan state merely said that it would, quote,
look into the matter. Okay. Now, meanwhile, the international organization for migration has claimed
that what CNN uncovered is just a drop in the fucking bucket, and that the behavior is so common,
slave auctions are done on main streets and in broad daylight. The IOM has confirmed accounts
of make-shift prisons, okay, scattered about the country, where migrants are being held inside
and forced to work without pay, while their captors regularly will call family members at home
and other African countries and demand ransom. And if they don't pay up, if these poor migrants
seeking a better life in Europe because their own countries have been destroyed by the policies
of neoliberalism, they're just killed. Because it's cheaper to kill them than to feed them.
And the ones that do survive that stick around just a little bit longer, simply die a starvation.
They aren't even given food anymore.
I mean, this is a humanitarian crisis, folks.
This is a disgusting and macabre injustice that should make the human soul quiver in hatred.
And yet, and yet, for the powers of the world, it's yesterday's news.
These lives matter very, very little when the destruction of Libya has allowed cheap oil to flow to Western powers and guns to run up to Syria to Saudi-backed ISIS fighters.
Okay. Each year, tens of thousands of people are pouring across Libya's borders. They're refugees. They're fleeing conflicts or economies ruined by neoliberalism or imperialism. They often sell everything they have just to finance this journey to put all their hopes on it. These unknown and silent voices are the face of an exploited continent torn to pieces for profit and power. The United States and Europe know about these horrors, okay? Merkel, Trump, these
These people have been briefed on the reality of these slave camps.
But you know, to them, it's simply business.
They don't give a shit.
So the next time you waver or wonder if you're being too hard on the people in government
or the people that determine the foreign policies around the world, I want you to think about
the imperial vultures that rule our globe and ask yourself how the slaves in Libya that are robbery
away in prisons that merely a couple of years ago could have had a free college education.
What might they do if they could grasp their hands around these people's necks?
Brett?
Yeah, wow.
And, you know, it really is analogous to Iraq and how that was treated.
What U.S. imperialism does is not only does it go in and it extracts resources and it destabilizes
governments that their organization is a threat to U.S. imperial power abroad,
But the media is always there to film it, to take part in the spectacle and to profit off of the spectacle.
In Iraq, with the invasion of 2003, it was basically amped up like a Super Bowl game.
I don't know how many people remember what happened in 2003, but there was a planned time and schedule for when the U.S. was going to go into Iraq and start bombing it.
All the news channels lined up.
They all had live coverage.
All of a sudden the bomb started flying.
Everybody tuned in, made sure they had plenty of time for advertisers to come.
come in and kick their products to us, and then after U.S. imperialism comes and goes, and the country
is destabilized and laying in ruins, whether it's in Libya or Iraq, then the media goes on to
something new. Americans forget about it. We tune into the next big thing. We're sold more new
products. Meanwhile, lives are destroyed. Families are ripped apart. And if it's not good for you and
your family, if you would never accept your children being slaughtered, if you would never
accept the people you care about being sold into slavery, if you would never accept another country
coming in and destroying everything you've ever known, then why in the fuck do we accept it when
it happens to other fucking people? It's heartbreaking. Absolutely. And you know, especially
folks, we're not saying here that you've got to be a fan of Gaddafi, that you've got to
support the Libyan state, because to me, I'm not looking at that. I'm looking at the people on
the ground folks. I'm looking at the human beings being shoved into fucking slavery.
labor camps, okay? It's a critique. It's a view that needs a step beyond merely, you know,
this state versus that state. We need to look at the actual human cost of what is going on.
We need to factor in the lives, the tears, the phone calls of families in Nigeria,
knowing that their son's hands are being cut off in a prison in Libya. And if they want to get
his head in one piece, they better send $10,000. I mean, this is, this is the abject horror.
that is funded and pushed by this capitalist imperial war machine is so often kept away from our radar.
You know, Brett was talking about the Iraq where they never zoom in on the corpses.
You know, it's such a nice image to see the fireworks, you know, going in the city and war seems so clean and so sanitized.
What they don't show you are, you know, the intestines piled up on a street corner.
They don't show you the child whose arm is a mere stub with a bone jutting out.
who's holding what few guts he has, it's terrible.
They hide these things from you so that it is easier to swallow.
It makes your wonderful first world life so much easier to deal with.
But when you look at this, when you know that the United States government, remember, folks, let us recall, I'm sorry, when was Libya attacked?
Oh, that's right, under a Democrat in office.
Oh, I know.
God, the liberals are at it, folks.
Yes. This shows, again, no matter what happens, the two parties are an imperial party. They don't care who they kill. They don't care what kind of horrors and travesties take place, including literal slavery, as long as the United States maintains a global hegemony. Folks, if that doesn't piss you off, I don't know what will.
Absolutely. Now let's let the camera pan back to our own society.
because something is happening in our culture right now,
something important and good and cathartic,
and although it's been long overdue,
it's better late than never.
And that's something is the public calling out
and purging of powerful men in our society
who sexually harass, intimidate, and assault women.
Many Americans naively assume that the days of madmen are long gone,
and that women aren't treated as poorly as they used to be,
but that's a lie.
And now we are finally starting to see the deep and toxic strains of sexism,
misogyny, and the leveraging of male power to fulfill male sexual desires
at the expense of women being rooted out.
For millennia, women have been violently stripped of their emotional well-being,
of their physical safety, of their bodily autonomy,
and of their professional and personal dreams.
That horrific patriarchal nightmare still infects our society at every single level.
And countless women have been,
and continue to be victimized, denigrated, mocked, shouted down, and destroyed.
And although that horrific legacy is nowhere near being fully over,
what's happening in our society right now is surely an important and necessary step
in that general direction.
Let's review some of the biggest names to have been called out recently,
and let's name systematically their disgusting fucking behavior.
But before we do, I do want to issue a gentle warning to anyone who might not want to
confronted with the details of sexual assault and violence against women. If you're not comfortable
with having to listen to these things, please step away for a few minutes. But let's begin.
Harvey Weinstein, the famous film producer and executive and giant human toad, recently saw
his career burned to the ground after three decades of harassment, intimidation, and horrendous
sexual assault, including numerous accusations of rape. He leveraged his power as someone who can make
or break careers to coerce and force women to perform a whole slew of sexual acts for him.
A rich, pampered piece of shit who lives a life of extreme luxury and for decades lived that
life completely free of any sort of consequences for his behavior. In fact, he amassed huge amounts
of money and fame, even as he victimized countless women and even as hundreds of people,
if not thousands in that community, knew about what he was doing.
Next, George H.W. Bush, Sr., the ex-head of the criminal CIA and 41st president of the most destructive, despicable empire to have ever existed, has been accused by at least eight women of groping them.
George leveraged his power as president of the United States to touch women's bodies and private parts without their consent, and he and his team have since attempted to dismiss these charges by saying, quote, at age 93, President Bush has,
has been confined to a wheelchair for roughly five years.
So his arm falls on the lower waist of people with whom he takes pictures.
To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke,
a joke about his favorite magician being David Coppafiel.
And on occasion, he has patted women's rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner.
And therein lies the delusion of the male chauvinist mindset.
Non-consensually grabbing a woman's body is conflating.
with merely being, quote-unquote, good-natured.
Fuck you.
Up next, Roy Moore, former Alabama Chief Justice
and current U.S. Senate candidate
is someone with deep ties to white nationalists
and neo-confederate organizations,
was a leading proponent of the Bertha conspiracy,
and is, of course, a self-proclaimed Christian man of God.
The primary allegations against him
are a slew of charges ranging from the creepy
to the outright criminal.
Roy Moore for decades was known to target, harassed, and hit on high school girls, some as young as 14.
He was actually banned from a local mall because he would continuously go there to attempt to pick up teenage girls,
even when he was well into his fucking 30s.
He's been accused of groping women, forcing himself onto them, and even one time called a local high school and asked for a student in order to ask her out on a date.
When Sean Hannity, another truly despicable right-wing talk show host, asked more about the allegation.
more said, and I quote, I don't remember dating any girl without the permission of her mother.
Moore is still in the race for a Senate seat in Alabama, and many prominent right-wing pundits,
activists and politicians have remained loyal to Moore. Some have even used Bible verses
that refer to older men dating children as a way to defend Moore's behavior, the party of family
values. Other famous men recently called out include the comedian Louis C.K., who leveraged his
position as a well-known comic to repeatedly pull out his penis and
masturbate in front of women without their consent.
House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey, who has been accused of groping and sexually assaulting young
men, some as young as 14, the actor Dustin Hoffman, who has been accused of groping and
assaulting a 17-year-old actress on the set of a TV film of Death of a Salesman in
1985.
Others include Bill Clinton, accused for decades of a slew of sexual assaults.
Bill Cosby, a rapist who would drug women and assault them.
And Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America.
who has been accused by well over a dozen, two dozen women of harassing, groping, and
assaulting them, and who, as we all know, admitted on camera to grabbing women's genitalia
without their consent because, and I quote, when you're a star, they let you do anything.
And that about sums it up, doesn't it?
But before I end, before I end, I want to make an appeal to men out there listening right now.
This is our problem.
This is something we all have culpability in and something.
we all have an obligation to address in ourselves, in our friends, in our family members,
in our coworkers, and in our communities. None of us are totally free of blame. And while I desperately
hope no one that listens to this show has ever actively engaged in sexual assault or violence
against women, and if you have, fuck off, you are no comrade of mine. But all of us, at some point in our
lives, have certainly used sexist language, have treated women poorly, have let harmful behavior
by our friends go unchallenged, etc.
It is our responsibility
as liberationists and as human beings
to do better, to root out
and slaughter the male chauvinists
that exist in our minds,
to counter the denigration and objectification
of women in our culture,
to listen to women and to defend them,
to speak out loudly and unapologetically
against rape culture, against all forms
of misogyny, and against violence
against women. It's worth noting
and reflecting on the fact that
every single woman in my life,
from my mother to my sister to my partner to virtually every single one of my exes and female friends have in some form or another been sexually harassed sexually assaulted or have been the victim of domestic violence if it's true for me and all the people that I know I can guarantee it's true for you for all of you as well enough is enough absolutely you know and especially uh for a lot of guys listening out there it's very easy
easy to, you know, shove this under the rug. It's very easy to, you know, say that, oh, well, you know, it's not, folks, this is a real fucking epidemic. It's, it absolutely is. It's not even just an epidemic because it's created by the society we live in. It is rewarded. You know, Harvey Weinstein, all these big men in power, these things happened because they had a position of power that they could abuse. And it was accepted. It was totally understood that this is what a,
person in power does. And you'll see it in your workplaces too. You know, a manager, oh, hey, why don't
you smile? You look better that way. Or even if you're not a woman, you know, just your manager
basically telling you how you should act, how you should behave, and you're going to do it simply
because you want to survive. But again, this is really one of the beauties of the theory of
intersectionality, that we are able to confront these different levels of oppression. Because
you know, your average woman, and a lot of these women, especially with Weinstein, we're seeking
jobs. So we have, on one hand, the worker boss relationship. You're already submitting yourself
into a lower submissive position just to basically seek the things to keep you alive. And then
You have this patriarchal notion that these women owe you something that, you know, as he said, you know, the sheer fact that even an ex-president of the United States could just grab a woman's ass.
And, oh, well, he's just trying to be.
What kind of absolutely fucking insane world are we living in, to where that kind of behavior is okay?
You know, so much of our society is fucked up.
And when you really start to cut it into pieces, when you really start to analyze,
that when you really start to look at your own behavior and say,
holy shit, was I doing that?
Was I helping further these things along?
Again, I don't think anyone listening to this show is a rapist or is sexually assaulted anyone.
If you have, I hope a gigantic cancer forms in your prostate and you die a slow, painful death.
But I digress.
We do need to sort of analyze these different things.
And, you know, I will say again, I am a huge proponent, 100% of arming,
women. Now, granted, obviously, if you're seeking a job from Harvey Weinstein, you're not going to pull a 357 and put it to his head, which, I mean, would be fantastic if you did. But also, there is a very real epidemic in this country of rapes. There is a very real epidemic of women being assaulted, of women being viewed as, you know, easy targets for all sorts of people. And I think that we are coming into a
wonderful and beautiful stage where women are so sure of their power and so centered in themselves.
You know, they don't have, they aren't proving themselves to anybody. They're being themselves.
They're claiming power. They're saying enough is enough. They're calling out the names. They're
unafraid. Things are shaking up in our society. That is absolutely happening. We are seeing the
forefront of something new. And I know Brett will absolutely agree with me. I think this is something
fantastic. I hope it continues to happen. And I think that every piece of
shit in power that is every ever abused his position should be brought into the fucking life and
well you know i mean we named this show the guillotine for a reason but i can exactly say that
you know on the air but i think you get the ideas absolutely and and you know i want to point out too
that that you can tell by the the the different sorts of people that i mentioned this is not a left
or right thing this is not a liberal versus conservative thing this is a deep cultural problem beyond that
it's a civilizational problem it's it's something much deeper than right or left and so uh i
really would hate, and this hasn't happened to any degree that I've been familiar with, but don't
ever pick sides on partisan issues. When Bill Clinton had his allegations in the 90s, there were
certain segments of the white feminist population that came to his defense. And the logical reasoning
was he's our guy, he's doing more good than harm, we have to defend him against the right-wing
attacks. Once you start putting women's health and safety on the backburner for your own
partisan gain, you're a piece of shit. You're already contributing to the problem. Second,
when a man runs for the President of the United States,
he can get on camera and admit to sexually assaulting women during the campaign
so people have time to digest to that fact and not vote for him,
but the fact that so many people did vote for him,
including lots of men and women,
is a sign of the symptomatic disease that is in all of our minds.
and the dialectic of
you know thesis antithesis synthesis synthesis
you give us a sexual predator for a president
and women came out and had the biggest march
in the history of the United States
and then shortly after
these pieces of shit start being dragged down to the light
and exposed for what they are
so I don't it's certainly not 100% a reaction to Trump
but there is a sort of
dialectical move between that piece of
shit becoming the president and women saying enough is enough. But I really want to put the
onus again onto the shoulders of men. It's our job. It's our job to call it out. It's our job
to stand up against that shit. It's our job to root it out of ourselves. You know, I say this all
the time, but if you're on the left, you should hold yourself and people should hold us to higher
standards. The way you talk, the way you behave, the way you treat people, we have to hold
ourselves to a higher standard. We're in a sense a moral vanguard.
trying to express our values through the way we live our lives.
And so I think that's extremely important to remember.
And last thing I'll say before I hand it back over to Bones is insofar as we organize,
we organize on the ground, we have anti-fascist organizations, we have solidarity networks,
we have a whole slew of activism on the ground.
I very much would like to see a militant community defense program dedicated to,
and I know it's tricky because of the legal situation and the shittiness of cops,
but dedicated to
defending women in our community,
women that are victims of domestic violence,
women that are victims of sexual assault,
men should start organizing
to try to put pressure on the people that perpetuate this.
You know, it's on our shoulders, too.
We can't leave it all to women.
Now, I do want to add this,
and, you know, naturally through the course of the show,
Brett and I will differ on a few things,
you know, he dropped the morality word, folks,
but I wanted to draw attention to something here.
The absolutely distinct nature of what ideology is.
You know, these men that are doing these things,
they aren't necessarily doing it just be out of some, you know,
crazed biological wiring that they can't control.
They've been given an idea, okay?
They've been given a holy sacred idea of what it means to be a man and what that,
and they are entitled, God damn it, to every woman they see.
And if they've reached these levels of power, well, fuck, they absolutely deserve to do this to a woman, do that to a woman.
Again, I don't know necessarily about any dialectic.
I'm a sort of unread, barely literate Florida conjurer out here.
But I will say this.
You know, I mean, these men are operating.
They've taken a bit of propaganda, a bit of forced, conjured learning.
They've taken it inside themselves, and they've mistaken this training, this idea.
that this is what a man does and it's okay to do this and this is good natured blah blah blah
blah they've taken that and they've mistaken it for themselves i don't necessarily think that
it's a question of morality i think it's a question of number one women you know absolutely
asserting their power and saying no this isn't going to fucking work i it's not going to happen
anymore and also these these men you know they think that they're entitled to this whether
they're you know it's so funny that these these people laughed off the whole george bush thing
He's just trying to. And meanwhile, if an elderly woman just started grabbing dicks at every photo opportunity, oh man, it'd be all over the fucking news. It would just be some kind of crazy thing. But this guy, because he just happens to identify as a male, he gets a fucking pass. And he knows that. He's not questioned it. He's just sort of eaten up the shit soup with a spoon and ingested it and taken as himself. I am a man. Therefore, I will do this because that makes me a good man and shows that I am a good person.
Again, we have these weird conjured images up that are not the actual individual that the individual is taking for themselves.
They're mistaking the reflection for the actual water.
It's an absolutely horrendous problem that luckily we are confronting.
And the more we shed all this unnecessary and toxic bullshit that we have been fed by our society, by our institutions and everything like that, the better and better we will be.
But speaking of abuse, moving on to a new field of abuse, I'm sure you all have been paying close attention to the J20 case.
And I wanted to bring some things to your attention, especially folks in the revolutionary scene.
You really need to be aware of this because what could happen, okay, is the J20 case is setting new legal precedence, bones, legal precedence.
What are we talking about here?
What I'm saying is let's say you get arrested in bum fuck Lakeland, Florida, okay?
And you happen to be wearing all black clothing, right?
Let's not even say you've been arrested for anything political.
But it just so happens that somehow maybe the cops get your phone, maybe they've somehow got access to your online presence,
they see that you are associated with a leftist organization or Antifa.
folks, you can be hit with a conspiracy charge.
And what happens with a conspiracy charge is you all of a sudden have to defend yourself against everything anyone else has said in the conspiracy.
What am I talking about?
Well, basically, what's going on with the J20 case is that the prosecution right now is trying to prove the case that all these different people were involved in a conspiracy.
see, they've got some very weird things coming up. Number one, appearing on podcast. If you're
on a podcast talking about a protest, even if you aren't at the protest, what some of these judges
are saying is, well, the podcast required planning. Therefore, you must have been in some form
of planning with the protest. And if that protest turns into a riot or results in any damage,
you could be held accountable. Again, the example I mentioned before, wearing all black clothes,
People are being charged with conspiracy in the J20 case because they happen to be wearing all black clothing, not because they did anything, but simply because the way they were dressed, black block is being deemed by the state as an immediate threat.
Also, and this is a very interesting one, and I know one very dear to Brett's heart, going to union meetings and specifically discussing forming a union in the workplace.
That's right, folks, we are back in the other fucking 30s because IWW membership is being viewed as conspiracy to commit violent acts.
Now, again, we're still in the early discussion phases.
Nothing is set yet.
But the sheer fact that the prosecution, which again is hand-selected by the state, is playing to judges that have interest in the state, are pushing this narrative, are trying to establish a precedent.
That will say if the most baseline, weirdest, faraway things involved with the left or any kind of revolutionary activity could wind up netting you some charges.
I mean, this is what we need to know about.
In fact, the bar is so fucking low.
Two journalists are still facing charges for merely filming the J-20 protests.
Okay?
If the state is able to establish the fact of the conspiracy, again, if it set a precedent as I'd decide,
discussed, it would allow any prosecutor anywhere in the United States to file similar charges
against radicals or revolutionaries in their own area. You would be stuck having to defend yourself
against every Twitter account, against every, you know, Facebook posts that anybody that's even
remotely associated with the cause that you, quote, unquote, were involved in. And that's a
fight you simply can't win. Okay. Folks, we are entering a new era of repression.
Okay, wherever you are, I want you to really think about this, that this isn't a game anymore.
Okay, it's not 1995, Friends isn't on the TV, the economy isn't great, college is not a fantastic thing that we're all going to get jobs from.
This is we're living in a different time, okay?
And now the state is beginning to take radicals of all stripes as legitimate threats.
You see, before, back in the day, it was very easy to laugh at us.
It was very easy to laugh at the, you know, WTO riots, everything like that.
Ha ha, look at these kids.
They're just all crazy.
Now, the Trump administration, the United States government is starting to really take you seriously.
And you really need to start acting like it.
Okay.
We, in the revolutionary community, whether you are a hardcore Maoist who wishes I was dead or an illegalist, you know, an illegalist egoist currently robbing a bank, whatever, you really need to start analyzing.
your public presence, okay? First off, get your ass behind a VPN. Absolutely. If you haven't done it now,
go fucking do it. Don't use fucking Google. Don't do it anymore. Encrypt your email. But beyond that,
we really need to start thinking about how we're going to start organizing and how we're going to start
doing things in this new era of oppression. And folks, luckily, okay, we have precedence of our own
texts like How to Master Secret Work by the Communist Party of South Africa.
was written under the most brutal of regimes.
Okay, and I mean, these people have figured out some of the most crazy shit,
creating fake mailboxes and hollowed out trees,
how to dodge cars that are following you,
how to isolate comrades that may or may not have been infiltrated by the police
without them knowing these are skills, these are techniques,
this is knowledge that you need to know.
Also, we have the communicates by the conspiracy of cells of fire,
which act as firsthand guides on how to pull off the kind of stunts most of us can only dream about.
They do it anonymously, and most of them do it without getting caught.
So again, we really need to up our infoset game.
We need to understand what's going on.
We need to really grasp what's changed about the world and start acting like it.
This is not the end, folks.
This is not the end.
If anything, the J20 case proves we are moving to the next revolutionary phase of development.
If we can weather this storm, if we can build secret lines of communication,
and once again give the president
fucking nightmares
we stand a good chance
of bringing back the guillotine
Absolutely
And I know we're going to go into our live call
segment here in a second
I want to make a couple quick points
It's simultaneous
It's a sign of our power
It's a sign that we're a threat
That they're making these moves
And another thing is
When you see something retweeted
That says hey a J, donate to this
J20
you know person's fund
or here's some legal action
that we could take or, you know, call your local representative to put pressure on this person
who's trying to jail this leftist. I know it's easy to maybe retweet it or just like it and move
on. I'm guilty of that as well, but these are our comrades. These are people who are facing
decades in prison. Imagine if you were in that situation. You would want so deeply for all the people
you talk to online, all the people you listen to on podcasts to have your fucking back. God knows
the state won't have our back. God knows the right won't have our back. And God knows the fucking
liberal center right bullshit libertarians they won't have our back all we have is each other
please please internalize that we have to help each other out we have to have each other's backs
or else we are fucked in this new era of neoliberal repression imperialism abroad and militarized
police crackdowns at home we are the only people we have so have each other's backs do as much
as you can for one another keep your heads up and you know one thing i notice is
When a Nazi stabs two men to death and it severely injures another in a Portland train,
or when a Nazi drives his fucking car through a left-wing protest, you know, killing Heather Heyer, rest in peace.
And when Dylan Roof goes into a fucking black church and mows down old ladies and just innocent human beings,
you don't see them trying to do conspiracy charges for all the bullshit they talked on right-wing websites,
all the fucking violent threats they made for months and months before that on their right-wing shit forums,
But when the left does anything, anything, we are held to standards that are absurd.
And this is a long history from the Black Panthers to union movements in the 30s to abolitionists before that.
The state hates the left.
They can deal with the right, but they cannot deal with the left.
And then that says it all.
Absolutely, folks, remember this.
If you want to boil it down to one phrase, repeat after me.
You are in enemy territory.
You are behind enemy lines.
You are surrounded by the forces that want nothing more than for you to be dead.
Before it was a joke, now it's serious.
People are going to prison.
People are being killed.
Let's focus.
Let's really draw our attention to this.
And let's start getting serious.
Hey, Comrade Bones.
Yo.
Let's go to live calls.
Let's do it.
Now, but the question is, how do you get there?
Do you get there my confrontation, violence?
No, is that the question you were answered?
See, that's, I mean, that's another thing.
If you talk about evolution, most people think liar.
Without realizing that the real content of any kind of revolutionary thrust
lies in the principles of the goal that you're striving for,
not in the way you reach them.
I mean, that's why when someone asked me about violence, I just find it incredible.
Because what it means is that the person was asking that question has absolutely no idea what black people have gone through,
what black people have experienced in this country, since the time the first black person was kidnapped from the shores of Iraq.
all right while we're waiting for a live call it's going down asked is there a stream not yet so this first
episode we have no fucking clue what we're doing and we're kind of stumbling around so we decided
not to go live this time because it would not have been an enjoyable experience for anyone
and we're still kind of figuring out our flow figuring out the structure of the show but in the
future hopefully by next episode we're going to have the entire show streamed a lot of
so that people can listen to the beginning segment of the show
and understand what we're talking about
so that they can, you know, tailor their questions
and commentary to the topics we touched on earlier in the show.
So that's coming and just not going to be this first episode.
Yeah, it's a little touch and go at the moment, folks,
pretty much, you know, Brett and the other folks
had to stop me from just incoherently screaming
and, you know, waving my gun around at my own, you know,
audio set up here.
So it's a process. It's a process.
Bones, did you want to answer that Luigi's question?
uh where can i listen to the podcast uh it's gonna be the first episode right here will be hosted at uh rev left radio's uh wonderful uh audio site but after that we'll have our own again this is sort of the first like uh trial run after that everything is stream so uh
here we go we got a call oh fuck
hello hey guys what's going on what's up comrade how you doing
Hey no much
My name's Jay
Yeah you guys know me
D6 off Twitter
I talked to you guys a couple times
Hell yeah
Yeah
From Louisiana
Out to Nebraska
And central Florida
That's right
Yeah thank you
I've been
I've known that
You know you've had our backs
And been supporting us for a really long time
On Rev Left and now on the guillotine
So I'm very happy
I've been pronouncing the guillotine
Gillotine and I've been getting
Eviscerated by bones
And my sound guy and my friend
apparently I'm just mispronouncing the word
but
he also says
casidia as
all our products that we buy
on French and English so
you can get butcher down here
we're just going to go ahead and ignore that
so what's up man
how are you doing down there
doing good
glad you guys are doing a calling show too
that's pretty cool that you guys
can have everybody calling with your questions
and stuff
so I saw you guys are talking about
J20
kind of my thing right now. I'm kind of concerned about like all those people going against
the state right now and what they're pushing against them. It looks like they're coming off
of it, but it's a lot different circumstance that I think we've been against before where they've
never like put us against like charges like that. Like not like during, during a Seattle back in
1999 when they took people it was only for like a couple of days they kind of did the same thing and just kind of let charges go and now it's like 70 years everybody's looking against and that's like that's just kind of out of hand I don't know I feel like when you talk to a normal person about that they kind of just like six windows window happened after everybody got locked up I believe that's right uh otherwise there's six windows
for like so many years and you got over 100 people
that's a lot of rocks I got thrown through one window
you know what I mean yeah exactly
absolutely I think that if we can get like the word out there
and try to just get a little bit more media coverage that might help out
I saw they made a goal trying to raise money for the lawyers
and it's a big concern for me right now
it's it's they're throwing they're willing to throw people's lives away
I think it's a gigantic intimidation technique.
And I did a article a while back where Trump was doing an interview with Playboy back in the 80s.
And he was talking about how he loved Tiananmen Square.
And he thought it was a great thing that the Chinese state basically went in and they showed these protesters who was boss.
And I think what we're seeing now with J20 is that he is basically trying to set a precedent.
And he's trying to basically tell the American populace that, look, I'm in charge and you're going to do whatever the hell I say.
Yeah, it's a strongman tactic.
Totally.
And it's all about sessions in there, and they're going to strongman it,
so no one's going to want to go out there in a black mask and, like, make their voice
or, period.
That's absolutely what's happening right there.
And they're coming down on the charges.
Like, it looks like they're moving on it, but, like, I don't trust them.
They're still, like, 190 people still have charges against them.
Yeah.
And press.
Some of the press people aren't out of it yet, which is crazy.
Right, exactly.
And you were exactly right when you say it's fundamentally an attempt to scare us.
They want to keep us off the streets.
They want to make an example out of us.
They don't like us out there.
It's not about broken windows.
It's about the threat that an organized militant left poses to the state.
And it's been that way since abolitionist movement,
It's been that way since the radical union movements.
It's been that way with Move and the Black Panther Party.
They do not want us doing anything, but talking online, sharing memes, and staying in our homes.
When the far right goes out in marches, you see police fucking defend them.
They're always, they always have their backs to the fascist and their faces towards us.
And that's just something that to be a leftist in this country, it's just taken for granted.
That's how they view us.
That's how they treat us.
and that's how we're going to continue to be treated.
But that's exactly why we need to have each other's back
because God knows nobody else has ours.
Absolutely.
If you look in your history books and you look up John Brown,
they make him sound like he's some sort of crazy Christian person
that talk to Jesus and went insane.
And then you got Trump talking about Frederick Douglass.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Frederick Douglass was like a hip new thing.
I'm like, come on, man.
No one reads Howard Zinn.
in anymore. You got to, like, come at them at least the Howard Zinn level, and they don't even
have that. And that's, like, what you're dealing with. And it's kind of sad right now. So that's it.
Like, I appreciate you guys. Central Florida, I'm originally from Sarasota, Florida.
So, hey, oh, too, over there in Orlando. In Nebraska, corn country's good.
That's right.
Load out there. Yeah, I got family up in Indiana, so, like, I feel you. I feel you, Brett.
Right on.
Thank you much, comrades.
Solidarity.
Hello.
Oh, Brett.
Welcome to the guillotine.
What's up?
Hey, it's Rock.
I called earlier.
Yeah, sorry, we were in the hectic transition period
between our first segment and live call-ins.
But what's up?
How you doing?
I'm doing quite all right, actually.
I think it stopped raining,
so I don't really need to
standing underneath my porch
just to get a better signal.
What's up?
Any questions, commentary?
Oh.
I was going to say, what about you?
How are you doing?
We're doing all right.
You know, we're trying to figure this whole thing out.
But, you know, me and Bones are good friends.
You know, Bones and my sound guy and my friend in here,
they're making fun of me because I kept pronouncing
guillotine as guillotine.
So that's something I'm working through.
I'm trying to internalize and move on.
but to be fair apparently he also pronounces the word
casidia as casidilla and i swear to you he literally said the word
barbecui as barbecue soft
i don't know if that's like a midwest thing i don't know what that is
fake news how he talks fake news fake news
i think um
damn i think i knew one guy that moved here on long island
that called
Casadillas
I think it was
Casadillas until I corrected him
Oh God
Let him be, let him be
Yeah, definitely
My original question was
The
Like is the podcast
Going to interview
Any musicians, radical musicians
in the future
but um i think i have like a personal like a somewhat personal question for dr bones if he's like
present somewhere oh yes i'm always present i'm i'm very interested shoot for it
all right so um i've been listening to like uh johnny tannock and i just caught his um
interview with the radical underground and i don't really know if he contacted you personally
but he seems like a really big fan of your work.
So what do you have to say about the Pensacola rapper Johnny Panic?
Well, now, that's the guy that did the Holy album, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, but I like it, and he's doing a Southeast tour right now.
I mentioned it that I was hoping, like hell to get to the Orlando show.
I remember when his album released, me and my wife were listening to it.
And normally, especially where I'm at, like, kind of an outsider to the whole anarchist scene.
So I think it's really positive that we have a lot of anarchist musicians, radical musicians,
because if you'll notice, like, one of the things that's interesting about Rojava was that they weren't just calling for technicians or people who knew how to farm,
but they were also calling for artists because it wasn't just enough to make a revolution.
had to make this life behind it you it's one thing to fight a battle kill the enemy you know uh defend
territory whatever but that's not really what living is is it there's no point in fighting if
after the fighting is done you don't have anything and so i think what we have you know musicians
like this that are really all about a revolutionary message and not just about a revolutionary
message and like spitting like bullshit propaganda that's you know might as well be played over a
loudspeaker but honestly getting into it honestly enjoying themselves and like really breathing
life into the movement, a real life that people can enjoy and something you can listen to while
you're driving or, you know, fantasizing about robbing a bank, what have you. I think that's an
extremely positive thing. So like I said, I hope to hope, hope, barring, you know, catastrophes,
which have been known to happen. I'm dealing with one right now, thanks to a really bad
graveyard trip. But I hope to see him in Orlando and hopefully to make one hell of an article.
yeah i um i actually knew like a little bit about um the in the rojava they were calling for like um artists and um musicians um
to just like help build their um culture a little bit and i think that was when i was first
getting into anarchism and i learned about rojava um through um a post on
the r slash anarchism subreddit um and i just like thought to myself like wow that is that is a big deal
like i would love to be in that um position of just like writing music and being around a different
type of culture and just absorbing it in and putting it into lyrics um so yeah um music and
art and literature
and all that stuff
is just as much as a
big part of reflecting
and telling the revolution
as much as the fighters that are
defending it.
Absolutely. Amen to that.
Thanks for the question. Thank you for calling in.
So we have a question from Twitter.
It's going down, asked.
Beyond what was written in the
Gods and Radicals article, how has
Florida been post-hurcane?
Life's pretty much returned
to normal, you know, as I understand it, some neighborhoods in Miami. Of course, black neighborhoods,
you know, they were stranded without power for an even longer amount of time than normal.
You know, Florida, one of the positives, if you can call it that of being attached to the
continental United States is that, you know, the United States gives a shit. And compare that to Puerto
Rico, which is a, you know, literal spitball away where I think what the death toll is 900, 900,
people. And, you know, meanwhile, we can fly whatever amount of fucking military hardware we
want around the fucking globe. We can put human beings on a cosmic body, but we cannot find
the wherewithal. We cannot find the equipment. We cannot find the manpower. We cannot find
the amount of giving a shit to rescue and care about a colonial prize that we won from
the Spanish in the time of Teddy Roosevelt. It blows my mind. Florida's Florida. It's
Same old, meth-fueled, shady ass, horrible, armed to the teeth, you know, kids looking
at you weird, possibly, you know, something very, very wrong with, you know, the water.
Everything like that's pretty normal.
But, you know, the other areas that have just been influenced by the hurricane, specifically
Puerto Rico, it's a true travesty that America will have to make amends for, hopefully
with guillotines.
We have a question from Twitter from Andrew at Nice Try, FBI.
What are your thoughts on Antifa Affinity Groups communicating with three percenters if they find some common ground?
My initial intuitive reaction is alarm bells going off all over the place.
I don't trust the three percenters.
I don't trust any of their members.
I do not trust them to practice operational security or,
to respect our privacy or to allow them into our inner circles.
So that's a big fucking thumbs down for me.
I understand the impulse to want to team up around common goals with otherwise people
that aren't necessarily in our circle of thought.
But in this case, when you see him defending Nazis, when you see him being so armed and
marching next to white supremacist and white nationalists, no matter how much they pretend
that they're just an objective third party
trying to keep the peace
they're helping cops arrest Antifa members
fuck them I don't trust them as far as I can throw them
and you can't throw most of them very far
so what are your thoughts bones
uh well no I absolutely
you know there's this this weird
you know
uh to use a Nietzschean term here
heard like behavior that just because we're joining
with groups it makes us feel like we're
accomplishing something folks these people
are not your friends like I don't
these people want
you dead i don't know what better terms to put that in that when push comes to shove these are the
same people that are literally going to be putting a gun to your fucking head and if the cops don't
kill you they will these these people don't stand for anything they don't stand for anything
you believe in they are 100% literally waiting to stab you in the back you know at that point
if you're signing up with uh three percenters shit why not have info wars come down maybe we could have
Alex Jones just cover the next fucking Antifa protests and see what his opinions are.
It's too much.
I understand the need to build a movement.
You know, I understand that.
But I just think we've got enough comrades out there.
I'd rather see radical revolutionary institutions being built up.
Our own sort of organizations, our own sort of news organizations, just like this show, community spaces, everything like that.
The three percenters, you're absolutely right, Brett.
They are literally the foxes in the hen house.
If they're sniffing around your radical areas, get them the fuck out of there.
Brett, you want to say anything before I wrap her up?
No, I really enjoyed this.
I agree with what you said right there.
We couldn't take every call.
Hopefully next time we're going to be a little better about this.
We're still learning.
Thanks to everybody who tweeted at us.
Thanks to everybody who called in.
We seriously deeply appreciate it.
Sorry for keeping you so late, bones.
No problem.
Yes, folks, I will be shuffling off to a.
frozen-ass cooler and work in a good 12 hours or whatever but again just to sort of wrap it up folks
let's let's focus in on what's important here right now we're all living in a revolutionary time
things are different it's not the same as it was when you were a kid the world is rapidly
rapidly changing around us we need each other we need to care about our comrades but also we need
to identify those things that literally want to destroy us and there are millions of those things out
there, folks. So if you take one thing
away from this, don't
forget that while we can love
one another, we are also
neck deep in enemy territory.
Stay safe out there, folks, and
this is the guillotine.
The guillotine
is a beautiful machine.
Sharp and blade, search before the blood
of kings. The fuck a wall
I want heads to roll.
We'll make a mountain
out of fashion.
Draw a line at the sand right now, clear and bold
Analysis as sharp as the plate of the guillotine
Cut through the lies and tell you on the teeny screen
Shine the light of the revolution for all to see
history will show us where the process leads
necks of the rich and powerful
left before the key of tea
Hello, I just drank a shot of Svedka
You mean a Sveta?
