Rev Left Radio - UPDATE on "Help if You Can..."

Thank you to everyone who donated, we met and exceeded our goal in a *breathtakingly* short amount of time. You all are amazing and materially changed someone's life radically for the better!!

Hello, everybody, and welcome back to Revolutionary Left Radio. So this is going to be very quick, but it's just going to be an update on the amazing support we got yesterday after we posted the Help If You Can episode. That episode has now been taken down simply because we reached and exceeded our goal so quickly that I just wanted to take it down. You know, people can now put their money in other places. We've met the goal. We've taken care of my dad. And I just can't tell you how blown away me and my family are. at the response from people that donated so quickly. The money flooded in. It was breathtaking.

We were just sitting there refreshing and seeing it all come up. And then after that, you know, we showed it, we showed my dad and he was flabbergasted. My dad called me today crying. And my dad does not cry. I have not heard that man break down like that probably since I was a child. It was absolutely surreal. He says, you know, this is somebody who doesn't even have his cable and internet got turned off he's just trying to keep the lights on in his house and um he he says you know this is absolutely life changing to me he says you know please tell everybody um he isn't really he knows i do a show he has no clue about the reach or that this was even possible he told me over and over again please tell those people thank you so much this changes my

life. I can go to the hospital without being stressed out that I'm going to go bankrupt because of it. I can get my heart condition actually cared for, et cetera. He wanted me to tell you that he loves you guys. And, you know, this is, my dad is, he's a great guy. He's carried over his sort of center-right economic politics and Republican, you know, politics for his whole life from his family onward never on the fascist or like social conservative side just on this basic sort of regonomic um ideals that that he still has even as you know those ideals crash and burn all around him so i did make it a point to say you know this stuff this help came from socialist and communists you know the sort of people that on fox news you know people are

taught to fear and hate it's big-hearted generous kind human beings um that are that are helping you out dad and just you know just remember that and you know he's in tears and his his gratitude is infinite and you really did anybody who donated the people who donated a couple bucks god bless you people that donated several hundred dollars i see you we were blown away by that level of generosity and everything in between every single one of you contributed to changing his life and him calling me up today crying is i mean it's beyond words especially if you know my dad I'm sure many of you have dads where them crying is a pretty unique or alien feature. So that just really drives home how radically, radically grateful and blown away he is.

And this solves so many of his problems, takes a huge weight off his chest. So from the bottom of my heart and from the bottom of my dad's heart and my entire family's heart, thank you so much for your generosity, your compassion, your kindness, and your willingness to help. It means the world to us, and you change a man's life today. So I just wanted to let you all know that. We'll get back very soon with more Rev Left episodes. I'll keep this episode up instead of the other one, because as I said, we've reached and exceeded our goal. Everybody that donated on PayPal, as well as the GoFundMe, it's all included.

If anybody still has that generous heart and they want to donate, are they just getting this, and they didn't get to donate to the to the go fund me for my father um you know put that money somewhere else pay it forward you know help somebody in your community out find a um go fund me that's being raised on social media from somebody that really needs help and help them out just keep paying it forward keep helping each other that's the only way forward love and solidarity i'll be back soon with more rev left episodes thank you
