Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, friends. I'm popping back in from this final hiatus because I have very exciting news. I now officially have a bunch of live performances in October, and tickets are going to go on sale today and tomorrow. Now, when last we spoke, I told you all about the tour through the bookstores that's going to be in support of the paperback release of Hero of Two Worlds, which happens on September the 6th. But I am here now to tell you about what happens after that. And what I have after that is seven events in October of my monologue performance, which is now officially titled The Stories of History. And that is going to be completely original content, not related to anything that's going on with the paperback tour. So I will be doing these performances in two sets of dates, so get out a pen and a paper. You got one? Great.
Starting point is 00:00:48 First, Monday, October 3rd, I'm in Austin, Texas at the Paramount Theater. Then Tuesday, October 4th, I am in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine Arts. Then Wednesday, October 5th, I'm in Seattle at Town Hall. So, at the beginning of October, I will be doing Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle. Then there will be a second set of dates at the end of the month. So Tuesday, October 25th, I will be in Chicago at the Vic Theater. Wednesday, October 26th, I will be in Boston at the Wilbur. Thursday, October 27th, I will be in Washington, D.C. at the Lisner Auditorium, though
Starting point is 00:01:25 probably shouldn't be called that anymore. And then finally, Saturday, October 29th in Newark, New Jersey at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. So that again, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Newark. So tickets are going to go on sale, like, now. They officially, officially go on sale to the public tomorrow, but there is a presale happening right now if you use the presale code Rev Pod. That's R-E-V-P-O-D. If you use that code, you can get in there right now to buy a ticket before they hit the general public tomorrow. So the only exception to all this is that the Newark people have not gotten their tickets up for sale yet, but they will soon. They tell me it's coming, and as soon as it's ready, I'll post the link to it. So attached to the show notes for this announcements are
Starting point is 00:02:09 links where you can go to get the tickets to each of these shows. And the way they tell me it's going to work is that you can get tickets to the show now, get that wrapped up, and then there's going to be an additional option down the road where you can order a signed copy of the book, because at each of these joints I'm going to, they'll have me sitting in a room and just signing books until my hand falls off the minute I walk in the door. That will be an option, it's just not there yet. So I'm not going to take up too much more of your time here, but to answer one obvious question, yes, I am 100% doubling up on Seattle, Austin, and Chicago between September and October. I'm going to do both of them twice.
Starting point is 00:02:43 If you come see me in one of those fine cities, the bookstore stuff in September will be totally different from the performance I'll come back and do in October. Now, if you live in another fine city that I'm not coming to yet, either for the bookstore tour or for these events, please know that that's hopefully that I haven't come to them yet. I want live events to be a pretty regular part of my life, and so hopefully I will intersect with your life sometime soon. But if you're in Austin, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C. or Newark, we're about to intersect very soon, so go buy a ticket, and I'll see you there.
