Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello. So, as you know, Revolutions is wrapping up, but I'm not going anywhere. In fact, in a couple of months, I'm going to be going everywhere. After several years of being denied the opportunity to do live events, either for the show or for the book, we finally got ourselves a live tour. I will be on the road for most of September and October of 2022. This tour is going to be divided into two sections, the first one in September, will be a bunch of bookstore appearances promoting the paperback of Hero of Two Worlds, which I should mention comes out September the 6th, 2022. It's now available for pre-order. And if you come see me in September, you'll be able to buy it in a bookstore. So I'm attaching some information to the show notes of this little announcement, but I'm going to run through the details right now so you can hear it at least once before you start emailing me and asking me for details. So kicking things off will be the official paperback launch of Hero of Two Worlds at Mystery to Me in Madison, Wisconsin on September 6th, 2022.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Then it is on to Seminary Co-op in Chicago on September 7th. Then I'll get on an airplane and go to Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon on September 8th, Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle, Washington on September 9th, and then I get a few days off before doing the Boulder Bookstore in Boulder, Colorado on September 12th, and tattered cover in Denver on September 13th. Then I will bounce down to Texas, where I have not been yet, even though I live there for three and a half years. So I'll be doing Interabang Books in Dallas on September 14th, book people in Austin on September 15th, and Brasso's Bookstore in Houston on September 16th. Then I do a little sweep up and around, Garden District books in New Orleans on September 19th, then the Carter Library with
Starting point is 00:01:49 Acapella Books in Atlanta, Georgia on September 20th, Fly Leaf books in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on September 21st, and Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 22nd. So that is 13 cities in 16 days. It's going to be quite a whirlwind. Come out and see me, bring your books, bring anything, I'll sign whatever. We'll talk about Lafayette. We'll talk about anything. It'll be great. I'm really, really, really, really looking forward to it. Now, I also get to tease that right now we've got seven dates lining up in October for the ticketed shows, for the performance that I debuted in Milwaukee. That went so well that I, I got a bunch of venues throughout the United States asking me to come out.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Now, what I do for these performances is going to be different than what goes on in the bookstores. This is going to be my hour and 15, hour and 30 minute meta reflection on the meaning and uses of history and storytelling and memory and just how we exist in the world as humans. Now, those dates have not been 100% finalized, but they will be in October 2022. So once the bookstore tour wraps up, I'll just be heading right back on the road and doing a round of completely different live events with all new material that none of you have ever heard. And hopefully anyone who was at the Milwaukee event can vouch for the fact that
Starting point is 00:02:59 it was a good, fun, and interesting night. Now, I'm going to pop back up with little bits over the next two months on my break in between the end of the Russian Revolution in the beginning of the final epilogue. But look, mark your calendars now. I'm going to be out there in September and October. It'd be nice to call it like a farewell tour, but it's not a farewell tour, because even though we've come to the last chapter of the Revolution's podcast, that just means it's time to move on, to the next chapter.
