Hi, everybody. Mike Bloop here back with another Survivor 50 preseason podcast. We continue our journey
through the Kalo tribe. And we're going to be hearing my conversations with, ironically enough,
two co-collaborators, I suppose, through the music of Beauds.
Ben Caspin, but will they be in harmony on Survivor 50?
You'll be hearing my chats with Coach Ben Wade and Di Viadales.
Of course, I'm going to go through the same old song and dance here.
If you've missed my conversations with Charlie and Chrissy,
the first two members of this tribe,
as well as any of the other interviews that I've done with this cast,
do you know what to do.
We know survivor.com for all of our Survivor Podcast,
and Rob has a website.com slash YouTube.
for the video versions of all the stuff we have going on.
Let's talk about a man who has a lot going on.
He has lived many lives,
but we know him predominantly as coach.
This is obviously a seismic figure, I would say,
in the world of Survivor.
Hell, we've got, what, three episodes featuring him
in this Road to 50 rerun series that's happening on CBS.
But also, if you've been listening in on this,
these interviews, there's a lot more possible friends than foes when it comes to coach, a man who
himself got sent out of token sheans with a poem that featured friends and foes. And he wax
poetic to me about everything that has happened in his life since South Pacific. And more specifically,
how he looks back upon his past mistakes and how he hopes to rectify it on his fourth time out.
Here's a little info about where coach is in his life, though he does a much better job describing it in the interview proper.
Benjamin Coachway, but do not call him Benjamin, is currently 53 years old,
originally from Knoxville, but currently lives in Susanville, California.
And his currently listed occupation is, quote, music teacher and coach and super dad.
Again, leave it to coach to be a multi-hyphenate.
He's going to get into all of what that job description means in my interview.
I had a really fun time getting to chat with Coach.
Hope you all enjoy it as well.
Without further ado, here is my sit down with the Dragon Slayer himself, Coach.
How are you doing right now, Coach?
Frigan great.
Yeah.
Zend out, man.
Zend out.
I am so in a great spot in my life.
Let's talk about that great spot because, I mean, it has been over a decade since we last saw you.
So much has happened for those that have been following you.
I mean, if I'm wrong here, you all are now officially coached name only, correct?
Well, I'm still coaching my kids' sports teams.
You know, I'm not going to give up coaching, but I'm coaching all my kids' teams.
Yeah, to talk to me more about, you know, becoming a dad.
What has life been like for you?
You know, it's been a beautiful journey since the last survivor,
and I finally realized that life was not about myself.
You know, because I really thought as much as I can slay life,
as many adventures, as many near-death experiences that I can regale people with, as many soccer
championships, as many symphonies I can start and books I can write, and, you know, little
cameos in movies, like, that's life.
That's going to make me happy.
And, you know, none of that stuff's going to be remembered 50 years from now.
Maybe some people will be watching some old seasons of Survivor, but sure sale ain't going to
be listening to the dragons or watching the movie 180.
But, you know, it really was an aha moment for me to just say.
you know, I'm chasing after the wrong, you know, the wrong, I'm back in the wrong horse,
so to speak.
And it was actually the last survivor that I went on, and I had met this beautiful lady.
And I'd always said, I don't want to get married, I don't want to have kids.
I was adamant about that.
They asked me many times, especially the first time on Survivor, even CBS was like,
do you ever want to have kids?
No.
Do you ever want to be married?
No.
And, you know, I met this beautiful woman.
We did a ballet together.
I wrote an hour-long ballet.
four really long movements.
It was a nice big splash in the art world when it premiered.
She choreographed all the dancers because she owns a dance studio in the town that we live in in Susanville.
And so I met her nine-month-old boy right before coming out.
And I tell you, when I was out there on the beach, I actually told this to Cowboy Rick.
I said, I'm going to go home.
I'm going to be a dad to that boy, and I'm going to be a husband to this woman.
And lucky you now.
And so that was, you know, December I eloped.
And life has been a beautiful transformation since then that I think you're going to see in my gameplay.
But I retired from soccer, from college soccer coaching officially eight years ago.
It was just too hard on the family.
I was commuting six hours a day up to Lake Tahoe.
Wow.
And my wife was like, I don't want to move to Lake Tahoe.
So I was commuting.
Finally, I stepped over one of my daughter's toys in the morning at 4 o'clock to get up there for the president's cabinet meeting.
And I said, I didn't see her play with it yesterday,
nor am I going to see her play with it today.
She was only like a year old.
I said, that's it.
I'm done with coaching it.
So I retired after that season.
And then focused on the family.
We had another, we've got two children.
So we now have a family of five.
And the high school called me up.
They said, hey, do you want to start the music program?
It's gone into the doldrums because all the theater schools have been cut.
And I was like, nope.
never had a good teacher.
I have no desire to be a teacher.
My wife was like, do not take that job.
I was like, I'm praying about it.
I feel like I need to take this job.
She was like, don't do it.
I said, just for one year.
Yeah.
So I applied for the job, got the job,
and then I just restarted everything in the music program.
Started two drum lines, started a recording class.
Anyway, so it's like all of that stuff, which is a lot.
Working with special ed kids at the high school.
It's just so awesome.
I'm on the bottom now.
I wake up in the morning and I'm not that guy that's like, how many dragons can I slay?
No, I'm like, let me slay breakfast first.
And today we're going to have French toast because tomorrow I know we're going to have waffles
and the next day we're going to have cereal, but not cereal every day.
And I wake up and I'm just so full of joy that I'm sacrificing.
And I think if I were younger, it would have been resentment.
It would have been resentment that I felt.
I'm the one cooking the meals.
I'm the one, you know, packing lunch.
for school, my wife works her butt off. But you know what? It's so great to be on the bottom.
And I'm ready to be like that in this game. I don't mind playing from the bottom. I don't have to
lead. I don't have to come out here and say, I'm going to be the alpha. I'm going to lead from
the start. I don't need that anymore. Like that's like I don't need survivor. I've turned
them down a number of times. But thinking about this message of transformation was ticked a box.
And then thinking about I would regret it if I didn't say yes.
Yeah. I was going to say no, the week they called.
I talked to Matt Van Wagon, who I really trust.
Yeah. Exile. Iron-sharpens iron.
Yeah.
Every hero. He was there for the monastic approach.
He was like all those was, he was the segment producer, so like I really trust him.
Yeah.
He just said, I think you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
Chick.
Last one friend of mine said, your kids need, your kids need to go through a little bit of adversity.
You're such a great dad. You're there for them all the time.
And they need to tough it up.
And I'm like, ah, man.
So it was like, chick, chick, chick, all within a week.
And so I said yes.
But it's here with a whole new bag of tricks.
You know, you're still going to get the slayer of old with the quotes and, you know, stuff like that.
But, I mean, I'm really like a softer guy.
Yeah.
And I don't need to be the man.
I can let other people be that person.
And I can lift them up because I do that every day with my family and with my job.
So talk to me about that approach because I think, to your point, a lot of people,
are expecting the coach that we saw back in, you know, 2009 on our screen.
So what does this new version of coach look like?
Well, from a, you know, a personal perspective as well as from a strategic perspective.
Yeah, so the personal perspective is, you know, Survivor has been a great, here's me in the mirror.
If you can use it, it will help with that transformation.
What an arrogant ass.
I'm not really like that.
Am I?
Well, if I am, okay, so let's work on that.
You know, you've got to take yourself a lot less seriously.
Second time around.
I really was distraught at people talking about me.
And it's like, so that taught me a great lesson.
It's like, who cares what people are saying about you?
Who cares what people think about you?
And even people around me, they're like, I wish that I had that.
Because I don't give a rip what anybody's saying about me.
And so I can take that and say, I'm going to learn from this.
and then the last time around.
Right.
Pigeonholing myself into promises
that I couldn't keep
and not owning up to those promises
at the final tribal.
Yeah.
Disastrous for the end game, you know?
And I think that
all those things
do the opposite of that.
I'm not going to take myself so seriously.
Maybe might tell some stories,
might do some nicknames,
only by popular demand.
And then it's like,
okay, who cares about people
are saying,
and thinking about me.
And then don't make promises
you can't keep it.
And when you do make promises
that you have to change,
then just be a man and admit it.
You know, like I got a couple of mantras
coming into this game. Some ancient
Chinese philosophy that I'll throw at you.
One of them is
if a snake
cannot shed its own skin,
it must die.
So the old coach must be
shed it of skin. And the other one is,
you know, I want to
make war with a clean heart.
But in the past, I've made war
and I've had a clean heart, but I've never
admitted to making war. We're out here to
to wage war on our competitors.
If you step into a boxing thing, I used to box a long time ago.
And I would never go in there and not throw a punch.
Yet the last three survivors I've walked in with my hands behind my back saying,
if I can't throw any punches because I won't admit to lying to you,
you know what I mean?
I'm not going to lie.
Or I'm going to lie and then lie about it later.
Yeah.
So I think owning up to that, understanding that I will have to manipulate and lie
to a few people along the way,
keeping the core of honor and integrity, working with strategic players that I haven't really wanted to work with in the past,
working with people that are on the out, being fluid so that when one tribal council doesn't go my way,
instead of putting honor and integrity blinders on, I'll just trust JT to the end.
Certainly he's telling me the truth, you know.
That's old school.
That's old coach.
This is a coach 4.0.
I'm not out here to not have incorrect grammar.
two negatives. I'm not out here to not have a beautiful evolution for Coach 4.0.
I'm going to bring it. I'm here to win. And I've actually never stood here on the precipice of the game
and said, I'm here to win. It's always been, I want to be a big character first time around.
Check, I want people to see I'm a real person. I'm hurting. I want them to see I'm sensitive.
Check, I want to show people that I can play this game. Yeah. I never set out to South Pacific to win.
I didn't think I could. Yeah. I didn't think I was a good enough player.
Check. This time around, I'm here to go.
Well, let's run down some of these people that you'll take down in your path.
You're such a good interviewer, man.
Thank you, man.
No wonder they got you set up here on this hill, dude.
Well, I got a game for you.
It's from a poem that you might know.
It's called friend or foe.
Okay.
So how it's going to work is we're going to go through the cast.
And rapid fire, you're going to give me whether that person is a friend,
someone that you're looking to work with, or a foe.
Either someone you're not viving with or someone that you're looking to be a threat.
You can give a couple of work.
as to, you know, what that means necessarily.
Okay.
So let's start at the top here with Jenna Lewis.
Jenna Lewis is a foe.
Okay.
Old school, but I feel like she's making eye connections
with everybody on the beach right now.
So I think maybe she's in bed
with the new school players.
Okay.
How about Colby?
Colby is a friend.
I grabbed his balls.
We were very intimate.
I was going to say, that frog marsh,
we still remember, man.
I love you, Colby.
Colby.
Colby and I are going to be friends.
There's no two ways about it.
You know, why can't, how can I not be,
how could I not be friends with a man
that is also willing to fall on their sword
to let somebody else win the game?
Yeah.
I mean, by golly, that's like the dream made in heaven.
So definitely a friend.
How about Stephanie?
Stephanie, friend.
Same thing, old school, you know,
she's here, I think, to be a loyal soldier in the army.
Give me your thoughts on sorry.
And not necessarily coaches on me.
That's the trick.
Interesting.
Okay.
So I think, Surrey, big, big, big time friend.
She doesn't even know it yet.
This is the player that I would never play with.
Great and challenges?
Not so much.
Strategist, all women's alliance at one time.
Surrey, let me lay at the feet of the master.
Teach me this game.
Show me how to be a good strategist.
You mark my words.
I never said two words to her at heroes and villains.
I don't know any of those people.
Yeah.
Everybody assumes, oh, you played heroes and villains together.
They were all out before I hit honorosa.
I don't know any of them.
Do you mark my words,
I'm going to take Ceri first day and hold her hand and look into her eyes,
and I'm going to profess my undying survivor love her and say,
Ceree, let's run this game together.
Oh, yeah.
All right, well, let's talk about someone that you do know.
You're going to shorten up these answers.
I mean, whatever you want to do, man, listen, it's all gold.
I mean, this one probably won't be very short because we got to talk about Ozzy.
What's your headspace with him right now?
I wish that I could be a little fly on that palm tree back there and listen to hear what Ozzy's saying about me.
You'll find out in a few months from now, just when it's too late.
Oh, what is he thinking about me?
I don't know.
We ended on horrible terms.
I mean, look, what they didn't show on camera is I got a hold of Ozzy, and I said,
Ozzy, I will play this game with you as a Christian man.
But you cannot tell anybody that we talk.
And if you tell anybody that we talk, then the deal's off.
and he went back there
actually the sense of honor
that I felt of having me,
Albert and Sophie go to the final three
which I promised them on like day two
I would override that
because of the honor of bringing back
a noble warrior who is great at this game
like he's the quintessential
survivor player
but don't break your promise to me
he did of course they never showed that
right and all they showed was me saying
as a Christian man which I should have never said
and I never will say that
it's like swearing on your kids' lives
you're literally putting yourself in a lose-lose situation.
Right.
So, you know, that was bad on me,
and great for production to not show that part of it.
But he cost me a million dollars.
I asked Cochran point blank,
what if I would have come into this tribal council and said,
guys, I lied to you, I duped to you,
I'm not even a soccer coach.
I just made all that up.
I've made up all my stories.
I'm a piece of shit.
Vote for me.
Dick Cochran said, there's no way.
He had poisoned the jury.
They went from saying on the Ponderosa tapes
because my friends were calling me.
Even Boston Rob said,
Coach, congratulations, you won.
People are sitting at Ponderosa saying,
coach is going to win this game
if he gets to the end, hands down.
Jim Rice, Dawn, all those people
that voted against me.
They were all sitting there saying,
coaches won the game.
Ozzy got off, poisoned them all.
I called him a whiny bitch
to every outlet that I talked to.
Headlines.
Ozzy is a whiny bitch.
Poor loser.
But really, who was the poor loser?
It was actually me.
You know?
Like, I get it.
Ozzy's ego.
What is the one thing you have left when you're on the jury?
Your pound of flesh at the end of the day.
I wasn't mad enough to say, shut the fuck up.
I owned you this whole game.
If you don't vote for me, you're an ass clown.
That's what I should have said, right?
I mean, I should have said it.
And if I make it to the end and somebody pulls some kind of shit on me like that,
I'll put them in their place.
I never watched the history of Survivor, ever.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, ten, eleven, twelve.
I watch fans versus V,
favorite. 1516, I watched Cabone because I was going on it. I never watched the history of
Survivor. I finally did. Yeah. Those people I'm going to be able to shut me down at final tribal.
Anyway, so I was the poor loser actually coming out of it. That's all Ozzy has left is they have
that founder flesh. I forgive me. Yeah. All right, now we can tie it up. That was the big one,
so we'll get into Aubrey now. Okay. Let's go. Friend or foe, Aubrey.
Foe. No, just kidding. She's a friend. Former foe, right? Oh, the Dragon's there doesn't want to
work with somebody like that, I'm going to go up to her.
She's another one I'm going to go up to on the first day if I'm on her tribe and say,
let's play together.
I think she's authentic.
I think she's really cool, actually.
I think her vibe is cool.
I think the sweater that she's wearing is on point.
She's an individual.
I like that.
She's different than other people.
So that's definitely somebody that I want to work with.
How about Chrissy?
Chrissy?
She's cool, man.
She's sweet.
You know, I think she's going to come in to be a little bit less sweet.
I think she's going to be a little bit like the wolf and sheep.
clothing. I think she's done quite a bit of pre-gaming, even though she doesn't admit it to it.
I don't know, but I'll tell you what, I'd like to want to.
Angelina.
Angelina is a bifurcated, friendly foe.
Yeah, you go right in the middle.
You know, I don't know about her.
I think she's only got one switch.
I've been watching her.
She's only got one way, and that's to the hilt.
She could be a good friend, but I think she could also be a foe.
And I think she's in bed with, you know, hypothetically speaking,
Christian, I have always put my foot in my mouth of these interviews.
I know she's in bed with Christian and Mike White.
How can she not be?
And they already freaking set Mike White up on a pedestal by asking us,
well, what character would you play in the White Lotus?
I don't see anybody asking who wants to co-host Rob has a podcast.
I don't see anybody asking a question who wants to co-host Epic Bourbon Tastings.
You know, that's a frigging unfair advantage right there to set Mike White up on a pedestal like that.
But those three are going to get another three.
And then freaking watch out.
And that's sick.
So I'd say she's right in the middle.
But I have a feeling she's going to turn into a foe.
Is Christian and Mike then from that perspective foes for you too?
Yeah, but I mean, I'll go up to them.
I want to see that.
I want to see, you know, what vibe I get from them.
That's one thing I haven't done.
I pick you, you, you know, crap.
Christine, no.
Save me, nope.
You know, all these people, I'm just like, I'm not working with them.
But, you know, I'll go.
to them. They'll have a fair chance.
And if they win some votes and I've got
to go with them, I'll go with them.
Yeah. But I definitely, I will say
Mike White is going to be a friend, okay?
Okay. You know, why? Because he's the only person
out here. But besides maybe Rick Devin's,
but Rick Devin's played on the bottom the whole time.
So we don't really know. But he's
joyous. He wants to play this game like a kid.
He wants to have fun. One of the few
people, you know, that's out here simply
because he doesn't need it.
Yeah. He just wants to have fun. He wants to be
a big kid in a big game. And
So I like that.
So I'm going to try to be his friend.
From that perspective, with Rick, similar to candy shop, be a friend.
But he's also a storyteller.
So like the end of the day, who's going to be the storyteller on this season?
You know, in the beginning, I think it'll be really cool to have two storytellers.
But you know what?
I mean, you tell me how many storytellers are out here.
There's not many.
You know, like there's always everybody's role.
Cochran was a storyteller, you know?
Rob Cessernina was a storyteller, the original Bushmaster.
Please tell him I said that.
You know, like, you've literally like, you know, you got Jonathan Pinner.
Yeah.
So who's on this season that's a storyteller?
Me and Rick.
This island might only be big enough for one of us at some point.
Well, let's get into the new era here.
Oh, gosh.
Friend or foe, Jonathan?
Jonathan, friend.
He's a good guy.
You can tell he's an old soul.
He's an old school soul.
He can just tell by looking at him.
And he can tow that boat with me in it,
and I'll pretend like I'm kayaking down the Amazon on a challenge.
How about D?
Yeah, D's cool.
I like her. I got a good vibe from her so far. I'd say she's a friend. I don't care if she's a winner. I played with winners before. They don't scare me. Emily.
foe but I'm going to try to make her a friend yeah well give me what's what's what's behind that reaction
yeah you know she's obviously somebody that you know she was out of the game she was done she was one of
the few seasons I watched her early on to get a taste of her and you know she was definitely just out
of her element and Caleb what a great character he was I'd like to see him back in the show
sometime but you know like he took her under his wing and then she got him in the back you know
like she helped for you know manipulate his downfall so I think that she's somebody that can you
trust, probably not. But should I be able to work with her? I'm going to have to. So that's why I say
that. I mean, definitely a foe. Let's see if I can make her a friend. How about Charlie?
You know, the friend of a friend. Yeah, yeah, Ben and best, you know everything. You know what?
I'd love to run this game with Charlie in honor of Ben Katzman. I think it's a great, I mean,
like, honestly, like, who knows what's going to happen at the end? I do not think that the old school
players are going to have a lot of a chance because there's so many new school players,
you know, and will they pick us off one by one? I hope not. But I mean, really, I think at the end
of the game, there shouldn't be all old school and there shouldn't be new school. It should be a blend
of old and new. And I'd love it for me and Charlie to be sitting there. How about Q?
Oh, man, Q. You know, Q's running around doing Q things. Already? I mean, I know he is. I'm watching him.
Yeah, he's the one. He is the one. You know, I got nicknames for everybody.
Mm, what's cues? The one?
No, that would be a good.
Yeah, very Matrix.
That's a good one.
I don't know. I mean, I think he's going to be like the emberborn, which they just are like on fire.
Doesn't mind that his name's being thrown around all over the place.
Literally doesn't bother him.
He plays with fire, but you know what those acolytes do?
They explode in a massive fireball.
And I think that he will implode shortly.
How about Tiffany?
I had to think for a second.
Yeah, take a buzz.
Sorry who's Tiffany, but I know.
I know.
Yeah, yes, yes, yes.
I mean, you know, like some of the cast,
I'm like, made up slags like, like, what?
I can't believe.
I'm watching how she looks at Q in Ponderosa.
If I were Tiffany, I'd be so mad at Q for blowing up her game.
They could have gone.
They could have gone.
They had something that was tight,
and Q's just running on, putting grenades under everybody.
I don't get a good vibe from Tiffany at all.
Like, you know, you kind of get vibes and energy from people.
She either hates me or really wants to work with me and just won't make eye contact.
So I don't know what to think about her.
I'd say she's a foe for now.
Genevieve, friend or foe.
I mean, you know, come on, this one is the quintessential new school player.
I do not care about, I will step on you, right?
You do not matter to me at all.
I'm out here to play this game, play it hard, win.
There's no such thing as alliances.
Joe.
Frederick Fow.
Let's go, man.
Yeah?
Well, you know, look, there's this, I believe in fate.
I believe in destiny.
And there is a reason why, from my little mountain,
with my mountainous hermitage of which I do not go to events,
that Ben Catherine called me and said,
I want you to play on this album, to which I flew to Miami.
And I said, I don't want to meet anybody.
I don't go to reality events.
and sitting in his house
were Dian Wendell.
And I fly to Brooklyn
playing in Brooklyn.
And somebody walks up to me
and says, sign this Buffalo Bill's jersey code
you are my frigging he read.
I was like, okay, like the guy, he was super cool,
didn't think anything of it.
Ben's like he was on this season.
It was Kyle.
It's Kyle, wow.
That doesn't happen by accident in the universe.
If you're in the right place for the right reasons
doing the right thing,
in my life with my family and my job.
I'm not here, you know, for the glory of coach,
maybe a little bit.
Go to have it's die hard, but, you know,
I'm here for that.
I'm here for playing on the bottom
and valuing people, right?
I've already established that.
But it's like, that doesn't happen by accident.
Yeah.
And then you have somebody that comes on season 48.
I was literally saying during season 48,
thank you, God,
for putting Joe on this season.
The last watched season before 50,
and Joe is sitting there talking about two
words that everybody's made fun of my whole survivor experience, and that's honor and integrity.
Yeah.
That doesn't happen by accident, but he's not a big enough character to be on this season.
So he won't be on this season because his arc has already, uh, you know, piqued with the episode
with Eva.
Yeah.
So he's not going to be on here.
Oh, he's on here.
What is going on?
I mean, come on.
This is like crazy.
Yeah.
Joe, he's the stone bell.
You ring him?
It's true.
the sound will always come back the same way.
So let's go, Joe.
We'll run this whole game together.
I'm excited to play with Joe.
You mentioned Kyle.
What do you think about him and Camilla?
Well, Camilla, bless her heart.
I'm going to go through the first day and just say,
bless you for bringing up my name in every interview.
The one player you want to see back is me.
Yeah.
And I appreciate that.
You know, it'll be interesting to see how thick those three are,
you know, or if Joe's,
not with those three, you know, because he didn't win.
Yeah.
Did Camilla vote for Kyle?
Yeah.
Okay.
I didn't watch that finale.
I was cramming Genevieve and everybody.
I was like, I don't have time for these.
I said, I was going to say no to this season.
So now I'm saying yes, ah, the Cliff Notes, Emily, Clip notes, Genevieve.
So, you know, I wonder if there's some bad blood there were Joe or if they want to run.
They probably want to run the game together originally.
It's like Tyson and I.
Tyson wanted to play the game with me in heroes and villains,
but I was under no assumption,
even though he said he would take me to the finals,
that as soon as my game jeopardized his,
he was going to get rid of me.
There was no question about that.
So maybe that's the case with Joe, Camilla, and Kyle.
I like Camilla, definitely a friend.
I like Joe, definitely a friend.
And I like Kyle, definitely a friend.
You know, you look at these factions.
And again, nothing happens by accident.
You look at these factions.
And it's like, what are the big factions in the game?
46.
Yeah.
Q.
And Tiffany.
and Charlie.
I got an end with Charlie.
Ben?
Charlie for Ben's sake.
Let's be besties out here, okay?
Yeah.
We haven't been pre-gaming, but I'm just saying
that's what I'm going to say.
So I got an end with those three.
Yeah.
Okay?
Angelina, Mike, and Christian.
I got an in with Angelina,
loosely through Nick Wilson,
who's a friend of mine.
So I feel like I have an in with those three.
The final ones, Kyle, Joe, and Camilla,
I got it in with all three of them.
Mm.
So it's like the big factions that could be,
and then the Heroes Villains faction,
which really isn't a faction,
but everybody's going to think it is,
which is making it dangerous in the beginning,
if I got it in with those.
So let's talk about the two that you're not in and in with.
What are your thoughts about the 49ers at this point?
Yeah, I mean, you know,
I know you have to include one to 49.
I'm disappointed that there's 12 people from 41 to 49.
I don't think that this era warrants 12 players.
You know, maybe from season 1 to 30,
there should be 12 players,
in my humble opinion, Rob being one of them.
but you know I think that they're dangerous
I'm having flashbacks of what it was like to be at heroes and villains
in ponderosa with Russell and we didn't know his game
and when we met Russell I said why are you on the villains tribe
and he was like I was honorable to my alliance when I got voted off
I jumped out of my stool and tried to hit somebody
that's why they put me on the villains that's what he said
great lie great lie so I have a feeling that one of them has won
I don't know who okay I think one of them is one
They're both dangerous.
They know all about us.
We don't know a thing about them.
So, you know, like that in itself,
I don't know how aggressive I should be with that
because I don't want to be aggressive
in the beginning of the game,
but they're here, and they're here to play hard.
And their head's not even in the right space
because they just got through playing.
And doing back-to-back seasons,
you'll talk to anybody that's played back-to-back seasons.
Stephanie, Russell,
it put you in a weird headspace
where you win at all costs.
So I think that they're both folks.
I'm going to end with a very odd scenario for you, sir.
It's the loved one's visit.
But you can only bring out a fictional character or a celebrity as your loved one.
Who would you pick and why?
Wow, that's a great question.
Thank you.
I will never be asked that question.
Literally, that will be the only time I've asked this question of my life.
I've got to soak this up, man.
Geez, please, please take your time.
Gandalf the Grey.
Hell yeah
Is it Gandalf the gray
or grand off the white?
Well, I thought it was the same thing
I mean, I don't know
I was going to say
Are you talking about a specific version of him
Or just he's coming in here
Smoking that pipe weed
Ready to talk to you
About the sage's wisdom
You're freaking awesome
This has been my favorite interview
It's like hands down
You say that to everyone
No I don't man
It's a fucking great dude
Thank you man
Thank you
You got something out of me
You've got like a lot of the joy
That I was trying to bring out
In the other interviews
But it was more sad
because I was like talking about my kids.
Yeah.
He brought out some great joy at me.
Yeah, Gandalf rolling in here, man.
Give me some wisdom on how to get to the end game,
maybe getting a magic spell over me to heal my back.
You know, that would be the one.
Well, you shall pass into this game, sir.
Now look, do we have to make coach take a polygraph test
like at the token change reunion
to see if he was lying about how he's never gone into a season of survivor
intending to win?
Who knows?
But regardless, he is here.
to win Survivor 50.
And I just thought it was so great to be able to have coach,
like a lot of these old school players that you've been hearing my interviews with,
do a lot of introspection,
go through a lot of life changes since his last time out.
You know,
certainly look at some of the previous relationships that he is coming in with
and looking to face it with open arms like he was on exile.
But, you know, the apple's not fallen too far from the tree.
As he's also ready to give out nicknames and do Coach Chi on.
request. So I'm really intrigued to talk this through with Rob as well because I don't think a lot of us
came to the season thinking that coach would be one of the most favorably received contestants
across all 24 cast members, but stranger things have happened. We're going to take a quick break,
but when we come back, we'll go from the trumpet player to the person trumpeted as one of the
best survivor players in recent memory, De Viadares.

Sounds like Ojo time.

Investing is all about the future.
So what do you think's going to happen?
Bitcoin is sort of inevitable at this point.
I think it would come down to precious metals.
I hope we don't go cashless.
I would say land is a safe investment.

Survivor 50 is going to be a challenge for D Viadara, not the challenge which she had participated in shortly before returning back to the eyelid.
But to say her reputation precedes her.
would be an understatement.
This is someone who was a key cog in an incredibly dominant alliance
that pretty much ruled Survivor 45 from the beginning to the end.
And then even within that individual alliance,
Dee pulled off some incredibly impressive moves
that suited her own individual game
at the cost of sometimes her immediate allies.
She won individual immunity challenges.
She really was one of the best overall all-around players
we have seen on Survivor in the new era.
But despite Dee knowing that reputation,
she is not scared.
She is coming in with the confidence,
perhaps even more confident
in joining that elite group of players
who have won two Survivor seasons,
hoping that she can rely simply on the skills
that got her the win in the first place of,
listen, million dollar check be damned
once I get you in front of me.
I can make you like me.
And that was very much the case with my conversation with D here.
Of course, if you don't know, D.D. is 28 years old, born and raised and currently lives in Miami.
And she is an entrepreneur, but she has made Survivor her business as of late,
even being a host of the On Fire podcast.
So, without further ado, here's my interview with D.
Dude, I can't believe we're meeting.
I know.
That's crazy.
Out here.
Yeah.
Well, let's talk about what brought you back out to the beach here.
Because, I mean, listen, we, some of us are acutely aware that you may or may not have
recently done another certain reality show in the MTV Viacom umbrella.
So what are you bringing to it this time around?
You know, are there similarities or is it apples and Johnny bananas?
Get out of here.
That's so funny.
You're awesome.
There's definitely going to be a lot more fire.
And I think it's because there's a mix of old era players.
And there's something with this new era, which I love the quickness of it.
But then there's also this part that it's a little bit fake when it comes to relationships.
Or if Jeff asks you a question at Tribal, you kind of go around his question and try to make him happy,
but also make sure that you're giving a good enough answer but also vague enough so that the people that you're voting off aren't there.
And I think this time around,
it should be more straightforward.
Like if I don't like you, I don't like you and you don't like me,
but maybe we could work it on this vote together,
or we're just trying to take each other out, and it's okay.
Well, then let's get into what got you back out here.
I mean, after you had won, you know,
did you have it ever in your imagination to be like,
I would want to go out and play this game?
Because we'll certainly obviously get into what the perception of you might be coming in.
What made you decide to come back out for a second time?
Wow. So obviously I got the experience that everyone wanted. And in that season, I jam-packed everything that you could have had from a survivor experience, helicopter ride, a bunch of rewards. There's so much that I did. And I, like, met my people already, which I'm grateful for. So I always said, if I get called back great, but even if I don't, I'm so grateful to have experienced survivor. But I think being out here, I'm a lot more pumped. I'm not scared.
I don't care about cameras.
I don't care about not eating.
I don't care about not showering.
Anything, not brushing our teeth.
All of that is natural to me.
Not because in the real world, but I do brush my teeth.
But I don't know.
There's this freedom being here.
There's so much freedom.
Yeah.
And also, just knowing that it's going to be harder because everyone here is minimum two-time player.
Yeah.
So, yeah, it's just, it's going to be.
interesting to play. Yeah, so then what's your perspective going into? Because
what I'm sort of reading from is this idea of like, I got the win the first time, playing
with house money, everything's gravy. Is that the way you're approaching or are you saying like,
listen, I'm going to join Sandra and Tony in this season? Yeah. No, I am joining Sandra and Tony
because I think everyone thinks, oh, D's a winner. She's going to get cut first or everyone's going
to go for her. Don't get me wrong. People are going to come for me just because of the fact that
I'm a winner. And if they were smart, they'd cut me out first. But that's not going to happen.
It's not because I'm so good at building connections and making people like me and making
you feel like you're the most important person on this island. And I think people don't know that
about me. I think they see me and they're kind of like intimidated or they think, oh, she's the
most dominant winner. We got to get her out. And I think there are going to be people that might
have some sort of jealousy emotions in there just because like I did something that,
they hadn't done and they want to do.
And they don't want to let me have that second chance.
But I think by the time they realize that it's too late.
Yeah.
So how much do you plan on steering kind of into that dominant narrative curve?
Because I can imagine on the one hand, to your point, easy reason to target somebody.
Yeah.
Also a good reason to have someone as a shield.
I agree.
That's exactly what I think.
I don't know another way of playing Survivor where it's not dominant or at the top.
Yeah.
But I think coming in here, I'm ready for, you know, new, just I'm ready to play from the bottom.
I'm ready to play from the middle.
I'm ready to play from a swing boat.
And I think having me is a perfect shield.
Yeah.
And that's exactly, if everyone wants to take me out, why not take me out later?
Yeah.
You know, that's obvious.
Well, get into your opinions on some of these players, but you also got this very unique perspective where after you won, you got to then sort of become the third chair on fire.
Yes.
How do you feel like, has it changed your relationship with Jeff?
Has it changed the way that you view the game,
getting to essentially become this armchair analyst right after you won?
It definitely has changed the way I view the game.
And it obviously comes from Jeff.
I don't think a lot of people, I feel as if there's a lot of fans
who have something to say about Jeff all the time and, oh, he's controlling or he's too woke
and this and that.
And look, there's times, don't get me wrong.
There's times where he is, right?
but Jeff loves this game so much and I experienced it firsthand when I would hop on to podcast every single week.
This man loves Survivor.
This is his baby.
What's more love than a child?
I don't even know.
I don't have a child, so I haven't experienced that.
But my dog, I love my dog, right?
The Survivor is his baby and you can tell how much passion he has for the game.
And it was really interesting to see the game from a producer standpoint.
Yeah.
Because we're here, out here playing, and we don't know another world.
But Jeff sees Survivor and he views us.
And to us, we're like, we're all his kids.
Yeah.
Honestly.
And the way that he looks at us, even at Tribal, he just sits back and is just observing.
He's an observant.
And he's a student of the game.
And he's okay with learning things.
I remember I would tell him, dude, I think you're wrong.
Or I think you should think of this perspective.
and he's always open to listening and truly trying to understand my perspective,
because at the end of the day, yeah, Jeff could be Jeff, but Jeff has never played Survivor.
Yeah.
Jeff doesn't know what it's like to be a player.
So I think he knows that, and he's always open to learn.
And Survivor is a game that has evolved so much and is going to continue to evolve, you know.
And yeah, it's exciting.
Well, let's talk about all of you playing in this playpen of Jeff's baby right now in Survivor.
We're going to play a game right now.
It's so good.
Thank you.
It's called friend or foe.
Oh shit.
Okay.
So we're going to run down the cast and you're going to tell me either if this person is a friend,
someone that you want to join up with, or a foe, either someone that you are not getting
good vibes from or someone that you could assess as a threat.
Okay.
I'm obviously talk about some.
Do I just say friend foe?
I mean, you could be, I would love explanations, you know if you want to give them.
And we'll get into certainly some preexisting relationships baked there in.
But let's start at the top here.
Let's start with Jenna.
Jenna, friend.
Okay.
I get good vibes from her.
I just like the way she walks.
She walks with such happiness and such curiosity.
And obviously she was on season one.
And to be here for season 50 is huge.
And I'm sure she feels it and knows it.
I'm excited to get to know her.
How about Colby?
Foe.
Oh, okay.
Foe only because he just, he's in his own world.
I don't know he sits in the back all the time.
which is a very awful move, which don't get me wrong.
If you're an alpha, you're an alpha,
but you're about to play Survivor with some people
that will not let you control.
Right, right.
And he took the stairs instead of the escalator.
The airport.
And Emily looked back at me and she laughed and I laughed.
And I was going to say, that's a...
Fuck, I can't laugh too much because people are going to know that I love Emily.
Yeah, yeah, that's a thing.
It's a great callback.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
How about Stephanie?
I want to say friend, but I think foe.
All right.
Tell me about the pause.
What you were thinking about?
The pause was because when she saw me, she was all excited.
And I'm like, I hope she's not a fan of my game.
You know what I mean?
Because sometimes these old school era, you get one or the other.
You get the ones that have not watched Survivor for a long time because, you know,
they're lives or whatever.
Now they have kids.
And Stephanie just gave me the vibe that she's like still a fan and maybe she wants
to come back.
or she wants to prove something
I don't know, it's just the vibe I get.
It might change when I'm on the island, but for now,
fo, sorry, Stephanie.
How about Saranin?
Friend, for sure.
She's so good.
She's so good.
She's seri for a reason
because even though we haven't said a word to each other,
I really love her.
And also, we've been on ice,
which means we can't speak,
but that we do have, you know,
music players that don't have Wi-Fi.
And I heard some R&B coming from her playlist.
Like old throwbacks. I'm like, oh, she's fun. She's cool. She's cool people.
How about Ozzie? Friend. Seems chill. I want him to be a friend because he's so good at challenges.
So I need him in front of me, you know, so I can take him out later.
But maybe a friend to me might be a friend to all, too.
Because he seems like a very likable person.
How about coach?
Friend.
Friend.
And you know what?
I can see a world where he's a folk.
Okay.
I met Coach one time in Ben from 46 in his apartment.
Oh, right, because Ben played with Ben.
Yes, they're friends.
Yeah, Ben played with Ben.
And Coach and I are on Ben's album.
We're both on his album.
They're screaming lines and Coach's playing his trumpet.
But I can see a world where we couldn't become enemies just because he's like...
You can be screaming at each other.
Yeah, yeah.
He might...
He seems even.
easy to make fun of. And I'm out here to have fun, so I hope he doesn't, I hope his feelings
don't get hurt too easily. How about Aubrey? Aubrey, Foe. Okay, tell me why. She doesn't
look anyone in the eyes at all, not just me, anyone. And she kind of just walks like this all the
time, which is cool if that's what you're trying to portray right now. Yeah. But I think we're all
here to play and it's a very take it or leave it season. If you like me, you like me, you like
me if you don't you don't I mean these are the personalities that are on this island
everyone's gonna be themselves fully and I think Aubrey is again this is my perception
I think she's already trying to play a game that once we're on the island that game is
destroyed I mean mm-hmm it doesn't matter when we're on the island so yeah how about
Chrissy Chrissy I want to say friend okay but I'm gonna go with foe because she seems
cut throw
like to cut throw
I think I want to play with people where
I want your mind to be in a battlefield
when you think about voting me out
ooh I like that
and I think Chrissy is not like that
I don't know just the vibe I get
I think because she was so close to winning her season
she's coming back guns blazing
and I love that for her as she should
but now we're aligned
how about Angelina
Angelina friend
okay yeah she seems cool
I feel like we'd be friends outside of the game.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Christian?
Christian friend.
Okay.
Yeah.
Sweet.
I think he might...
I don't know.
That's a little tricky because he's so intelligent and good at everything I'm not.
And I think I'm good at everything he's not.
So I think that might be like an unexpected duo.
Nice symbiotic relationship.
Yep.
But who knows?
I think he might be a little too strategic in the sense that he might be trying to play too hard too soon.
I don't like that, but I like him as a person.
So, friend.
Mike White?
Friend, for sure.
Mike, the other Mike.
He's here for the vibes.
Obviously, he doesn't need the money.
I want, hopefully we're on the same tribe because I want to play this game with people that are having fun.
Yeah.
And, you know, if Mike White gets voted off first, you think he's going to care?
No, he's going to go back and live his life and be grateful that he had a role on 50.
Right.
And that's kind of like the way that I want to take it to.
All right.
What about Rick Devin?
phone. Oh, okay.
Yeah. I don't know. He's just smirking too much.
Smirking too much?
Yeah, he just kind of, he's looking at everyone in the eyes way too much.
Interesting. Okay.
And I don't know. I've never spoken a word to Rick.
And he was the first on-fire podcast co-host.
I was the second. This guy did not reach out to me once to say, well, maybe he said like congrats.
But he wasn't like, hey, you're going to have a blast or if you need any advice, hit me up.
So there we go.
Holding that grudge.
I'm just kidding.
Well, let's get into your beloved new era.
Yes.
Let's start with Jonathan.
Yes.
Friend.
Okay.
Yeah.
He's definitely someone I need because he is the strongest man in here.
And everyone knows that.
So I think people are going to want to take him out come merge.
And I need those muscular men in front of me.
And we already also saw what just happened with 48, where it's the strong six, strong men.
I need the strong men in this game.
shield me and that way we can just go at them at the merge.
But he's a friend because he also plays a loyal game.
And I know the fans, oh, loyal game.
But when you're out here, you have to be vulnerable and you have to trust people.
And I think he's someone that I can trust.
Let's get in Tambly because I know 45 is a lovingly freakyly close class.
Yes, yeah.
But also, the last time you were out here, you know, you helped put the wheels of motion to
center out with one vote.
So what's your relationship going into this?
Well, I love Emily.
We're friends in the real world.
We just saw each other in January.
She came to Miami.
And we went to Epcot together with the cast.
But with her, it's tricky because, well, first of all, yes, I took her out on 45, but we were friends back then, right?
We're friends now, which for me, it's going to make it harder to cut her.
Just because when I love someone, I'm blinded.
There's no world in my head where they collide.
to me because I wouldn't do it to them.
In the real world, you know?
But we're not in the real world. We're playing Survivor.
And also, we're very similar in the sense that we won't hold grudges.
Yeah.
You know, when I voted her off, even though we weren't friends, she looked at me, she goes,
Dia was coming for you.
And I said, thank you for understanding.
Yeah.
And even, but then on the other hand, she voted for me to win.
She could have very much been the vote that tied me and Austin.
Yeah.
And it wasn't.
And she voted for me to win and she did it so proudly.
And I love that.
And I feel like a part of me owes her.
So I think if we're on the same starting tribe,
I'm going to take care of her as much as I could.
I don't see a world where we are though.
So hopefully once the merge comes,
we can align and just give each other information.
But I'm still playing for myself and I'm still playing for my family.
So it's me above anyone on this island.
So I just, oh my God.
I just already know that it's a battle when it comes to Emily because it's going to be hard with her.
It is.
Hopefully someone else takes her out before me.
Do my dirty work.
Yeah, please do my dirty work because she will be an ally in the jury.
And then again, she knows that I'll be an ally for her in the jury.
So it's, yeah, it's tricky.
Let's get into 46.
Let's talk about the on-fire co-host that's exceeded you in Charlie.
What are your thoughts about Charlie?
I like Charlie, so friend.
but I think Charlie only knows how to play middle.
He's very easy to talk to, but that's the problem.
He's so easy to talk to that you'd think that he's playing with you,
but really he's playing all sides and just kind of before you know it,
Charlie's at the end.
And some will say that a hot take is that Charlie should have won.
So I think Charlie being so close to the end,
I think there's a fire inside him that can very well get him to the end
because people are not going to view him as a threat.
He's so easygoing.
People are not going to view him as a threat.
Even for myself, I'm okay with
city next to chart.
Oh, really? Okay.
Yeah, I'm okay with city next to him.
Oh, the flies already.
Yeah, welcome back.
Welcome back.
Yeah, friend, though, for now.
How about Q?
I'm going to say friend, surprisingly.
Only because when I watch this season,
I watch him and I thought to myself,
damn, I'd hate to play with this man.
because he's so chaotic.
But I need chaotic players ahead of me.
I need a cue in front of me because I have a feeling everyone's going to want him out
because you never know where Q's going to be.
You never know where Q's going to be.
And yeah, I'll say friend.
Tiffany?
I want to say friend.
Okay.
But there's a pause there because I don't know where her heads at.
I've only met her one time briefly.
And I think because her season came after mine, I'm a little afraid that she might have better connections with the 47, 48 than I do.
Because after I played, I would go to events and stuff, but then I kind of just like left just because I have my family.
I have my friends, you know, kind of wanted to get out of the world.
Not because I was thinking I would come back.
No.
You know, just have some space.
Just to live your life.
Yeah, to live my life.
But I'm afraid that she might have better friendships in the new era.
myself.
Well, you mentioned 47.
Let's get into Genevieve.
What are your thoughts on her?
I want to say friend, but I'm going to go with Fault only because on her season,
and again, I'm coming in this saying on their season, which kind of sucks because I don't
want to come in having a perception of how they play.
But that's all we have, of course.
But she had a hard time letting people in.
And those are players that I don't want to play with because.
they're too game body for me.
Oh, okay.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
I want to play with people who are not afraid to show their emotions
and who are not afraid to let me in.
Mm-hmm.
And vice versa.
I want to let you in so that when it comes time to cut me,
you know that you're cutting not just myself,
you're cutting everything you know about me,
and you know that it's going to hurt me.
And I feel like with Genevieve, that might be a battle.
Okay.
Yeah.
Let's get to the 48ers.
Give me your thoughts on Joe.
Friend, for sure.
Mm-hmm.
it's interesting because he played a very loyal game.
He had Ava, he had Kyle, he was unwilling to vote them out, which I can understand because that's the same thing that happened in my season.
But friend, because I don't think that he's a super strategic player.
But here's the thing, though, he just watched himself back.
Yeah.
What, like two to three weeks ago?
Yeah.
So in watching yourself back and having such little time to decompress, I think he might.
might come back in here with something to prove to himself and to the world.
Like, yeah, I didn't do well.
I didn't win my season.
And maybe I wasn't as strategic as everyone was saying.
So let me do something to prove to the world that I could be that strategic fair.
Or I could cut my number one allies.
Right.
But hopefully not.
Let's see, because I'm hoping to align with him.
What are your thoughts on Camilla?
Love her.
Love her.
there's this softness about her
without saying a word
so I can see why her and Kyle are so close
and I'll be honest
I didn't watch the finale
for you should have
I watched bits and pieces
because I did a finale watch party in my
episode you should have watched Dee
I know without
they could come in here completely being like
oh my God it just happened
and then you're like yep uh-huh I believe it
yeah yeah I mean why would they lie
I mean I'm not going to tell anybody
I didn't watch it
But I loved when she was in the jury and she told Kyle, I watched bits and pieces.
Okay, there you got you.
Wow.
You guys don't understand how emotional and gut-wrenching it is to be in the final three.
Because you truly, yeah, you made these relationships with some people on the jury,
but you truly have no idea where their votes are going to go.
And for her to tell Kyle, I got you, oh, man, what a girl.
I love her.
And I didn't even know her.
So let's talk about Kyle.
Yeah.
Because this is obviously, as far as you know, the only other winner out here, does that make him an automatic friend?
Or is it someone you could easily throw under the bus of D.B.?
Yeah.
Automatic friend, for sure.
Okay.
Because no one understands a win until you do it and until you go through it.
We got the outcome that everyone wanted.
There's no feeling of jealousy between Kyle and I.
It's just like, dude, I'm pumped.
I'm glad you won.
Because there's been some discreet.
Because there's been some discourse as of late of like,
who's the best new era winner?
Is it Kyle or is a D?
Yeah, I truly, I don't care.
It could be Kyle.
Good for you.
There's never anything in me where,
I mean, I think it's me, but there's never anything in me where if people are saying
Kyle's the best new winner, good.
That means he played a phenomenal game and he came out here and he played hard.
But I'm excited to align with him because, well, not just because I like him and
automatically we vibe, but because.
there's another winner ahead of me.
So in time to cut winners, we can cut Kyle.
Not me, please.
Any thoughts about the 49ers?
I don't like them.
Oh, interesting.
I don't like them.
Well, one, I don't like them because I don't know them,
so I'm free to say whatever I want.
I didn't watch their season.
So I think they have an advantage where they can come out here and play
either the same game or a better game.
and also they have barely disconnected from the world.
I mean, from this game world,
they just left Fiji maybe two to three weeks ago
and now they're coming back to play 50.
I don't know, that's a little scary
because first of all, they're still in that game mode.
They haven't come back and understood what it feels like
for their castmates to be heartbroken.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
They haven't gone through those emotions
because, and also, it's just,
just myself and Kyle, that's two winners.
If there's three tribes, there has to be a third winner.
And I don't know who it is, but there has to be a third winner if win three tribes.
So, well, I'm interested to see if they lie or not.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that'll be fun.
But I also think they're easy to throw under the bus, which is an advantage, but also
that might be an advantage for them.
If everyone wants to throw them under the bus, hey, throw me under the bus later.
You know what I mean?
So I could see a world also where they become swing boats easily.
What is, who's one cast member that you wish was out here from any previous season?
I got to go with Julie.
Oh, that's my girl.
Before leaving, my God, I thought to myself, okay, I'm obviously so excited to play 50,
but there's some like sort of grief in coming back to the island and not playing with your people.
Yeah.
And with the same cast.
There's a little bit of like the stages of grief.
And I went through it and I thought to myself.
damn, I'm never going to get 45 again twice with the same people.
Yeah.
And that's because I know them for who they are now, not just as, you know, this is Julie from Survivor.
This is Kendra from Survivor.
Yeah.
You know, I know them as people.
I know what they do for a living.
I know they're family members.
So I wish Julie was here just because I love her so much.
Well, let me invite some love in with my last question.
We talked about this last time, celebrity or fictional loved one out on the island.
You said Dwayne Johnson last time.
I do, I remember.
Do you want to double down on the rock or do you want to say somebody else?
No, let's go with someone else.
Let me think, though.
Yeah, take your time.
Okay, I got my answer.
Let's do it.
I said Dwayne Johnson last time.
This time, I want Bad Bunny.
I want Bad Bunny because he's a fellow Latino and he's just, I don't know how much he's worth,
but he's just a good time.
You could tell in his interviews, kind of,
gives the same vibes as Mike White.
That he's just, he doesn't need the money,
but he's here for the vibes. And I want to play with fun people.
Yeah. This was awesome. As always,
the conversation is as timeless as candy corn.
Oh my God. You're so good.
And there you have it.
My interview with the third and final winner being featured on the cast of Survivor 50.
I am so interested to see how each of them are going to do.
Obviously, the three played incredibly different games.
think are being perceived differently are coming in with people that are either closely associated
with them. But despite how disparate coach and D are, I think it's safe to say on this podcast,
we went toe for toe. I mean, two for two. Well, this little piggy is going to be back tomorrow
to give you two more interviews with the Kalo tribe. As you'll be hearing my conversations with
Jonathan Young and Camilla Cartiguesu. Make sure you do not miss out on
any of what we've got going on here in the preseason.
Once again, we know survivor.com for our podcast feed and rob his website.com
slash YouTube for our video feed.
But I want to hear your thoughts after listening to these two incredibly different interviews
from these two incredibly different contestants.
How do you think they are going to fare on this season?
I think for both of them, they're kind of dealing with their respective perceptions based
on their previous games.
one being highlighted as one of the larger characters in the series history,
the other being seen as one of the best players in the past few years.
Thank you all, as always, so much for listening.
I'll be back tomorrow with my interviews with Jonathan and Camilla.
Until then, everybody, take care.
Bye-bye.
