Hey, everybody. Rob Sestradino here. And as one of the world's number one Deal or No Deal
Island super fans, I'm here to answer a question I get all the time. Rob, what's the deal with
Deal or No Deal Island? So let me open up this metaphorical and literal briefcase
that holds everything you need to know about Deal or No Deal Island,
or as we refer to it lovingly, Donde.
And I'm breaking it down so easily,
you're even going to be able to explain it to your parents.
Okay, so you know Deal or No Deal,
but imagine instead of a fancy studio,
we're on this crazy, mysterious island
owned by the banker,
the ultimate capitalist with a capital C.
Enter our players,
all vying for huge cases of cash
in the millions of dollars.
The show is hosted by Joe Manganiello,
who's there to enforce the rules,
but he's really the good cop
to the shadowy banker
who lords over the island. Each week, there are challenges where the players are vying to get the
highest value case in the competition. Sometimes the challenges are more physical, but there's
always some element of strategy to how to get the most valuable case. There's also a lot of iced tea.
They don't really ever explain why. Why is there so much iced
tea? The players who secure the highest value cases each week get immunity, which is great
because the challenge winner also gets to be the chooser deciding who walks into the banker's
temple. No, it's not where you go to find inner peace. It's where our eliminations take place. In the temple, you pick out your case
and then you play a high stakes game
of deal or no deal versus the banker.
The banker calls in with an offer.
You accept an offer higher than what's in your case.
You're safe.
You get to send someone else packing.
Accept an offer that's less,
you're packing your bags, hope you brought a good book for the flight home.
All the money from these deals goes into this growing jackpot. It's like my hairline,
but in reverse. The pot isn't just for the show. It's for the prize for the final player.
When we get to the last player, it's all or nothing.
They play deal or no deal for everything, every dollar, every cent from every deal. It's like the
final tribal council, but with numbers instead of votes. Could you be the one to outsmart the banker?
Or will you walk away with just an epic fist bump from Joe Manganiello? Season one had my old buddy
Rob Mariano play, and if you missed it, it was Boston
Rob at the peak of his powers. Season two is going to bring in even more reality royalty with Dr.
Will Kirby, Parvati Shallow, and the golden god from Australian Survivor, David Jeanette. There
you have it. It's Dandy for Dummies. Part strategy, part luck, all entertainment. Tune in for season
two, kicking off January 7th on NBC.
Of course, we'll be covering it all season long
with my banker's assistants,
Jenny, Autumn, and Chappelle.
We'll have episode recaps,
interviews with the cast,
maybe a few surprises along the way.
