Rob sister Dino back for our survivor exit interview for survivor 48 and today We will talk with the latest player brought out of the game at the final seven It's Mary and Mary will tell us all about everything that she was going through
Starting point is 00:00:55 Life on the bottom of the survivor 48 merge tribe trying to get something going and Unfortunately for another week nothing going in terms of a big move to change up the game we'll talk about it all with Mary last night I talked with Stephen Fishback on the know-it-alls I thought it was a very fun know-it-alls I think it was our longest know-it-alls of the season last night as well talking all this through and sort of just the meta of the season and all that great stuff with Stephen. Then later on today I have, it was the final several and I'm going to check in with Jalinski
Starting point is 00:01:35 later on today to talk about life at the final several here as we take a look at what's going on here. I've also got a big interview coming up on Monday Parvati shallow will be my guest to talk about what she's seeing in survivor 48 and of course everything across her reality TV career so that's coming up on Monday. Make sure you subscribe to the podcast You don't want to miss that one go to get our HAP Dot-com to subscribe or watch our HAP for us on YouTube. I see that we have Mary on the line. Let's go ahead and patch her in.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Hey Mary, what's going on? Rob says, you're Nino. First off, Mary, I think I need to pay proper respect. Let me stand. Oh my God, stop, stop please. For you. I'm wearing my Mary inspired shirt today also. I wanted you to see. You're funny. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Wait, Mary inspired shirt today also. I wanted you to see.
Starting point is 00:02:25 You're funny. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Wait, Mary inspired, it's black and white. It's not even green. It is green. Okay, sure. Oh, yes. I see. I see now it's green. Yeah, it's a dark green. It's not perfect. Okay? That's fine. We're not perfect. That was perfect. I didn't have the dupe here to put on for you. That's okay. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:02:45 You're forgiven. Thank you, Mary. Okay, Mary, how's your coconut etiquette better? Oh, I mean, I think I had perfect coconut etiquette out there. Actually, I wish you ate more of the coconuts to be honest. Honestly, if you were going to ask me if I had any regrets, it would be that. That and also doing a little bit less of this at the chicken and waffles dance and more of this. Okay. All right. Well, don't do more of that here today because we want to hear
Starting point is 00:03:11 from you. And so Mary, can you help us understand a little bit more about what's going on in this tribe? Because we sit here at home and we're like, boy, I think they need to do something, but then they don't do something. So I would just love to get from your perspective from where you were in the game What were you seeing with this group of six other people I? Was seeing people who at the end wouldn't make eye contact with me because They were gonna catch cooties for me, and I want to preface this by saying like I love I love my cast mates I'll talk about it. We were the best
Starting point is 00:03:43 Yes, but at the end, I think everyone, I think it's twofold. I think everyone had such strong day one connections that they didn't want to betray, and also, I think people just didn't wanna work with me because rightfully or wrongfully, they viewed me as a threat. I had castmates come up to me afterwards and be like, hey, we're sorry we didn't really
Starting point is 00:04:07 talk to you or try to get to know you because we always knew we were going to vote you out. We didn't want to sit next to your final trouble counsel. If you sat there, you would have gotten the votes. So why befriend someone who we know we're going to vote out? Can you help from the conversations that you had on the island? Could you help us understand what some of the other players' plans are? Could you tell us from Mitch's perspective? I'm sure you had conversations with him.
Starting point is 00:04:31 What is Mitch hoping will happen in the next couple of days to get him the Mitch W? I think Mitch was thinking to get the Mitch W, that he would just really get so close with everyone that they didn't have the heart to vote him out. I think he was really relying on his social game. And I don't know if he had a long-term plan, but I also honestly, I didn't really talk to people about their plans because if I did, I knew that it was a lie. Nobody would be being honest with me. Nobody would even fucking talk to me Rob. It doesn't show that from the edit. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I'm so grateful for this moment. But yeah, I don't know what Mitch was thinking. I really don't. What about Shaheen? Because I feel like that you and he had conversations. It even seemed like that he tried to save you last week with Star. Did you feel like that he was just buttering you up for the jury or did you feel like that he had a move? No, Shaheen was one of the only people who I felt was being genuine with me and not doing things for jury management. I could tell that Shaheen wanted to make a move and I knew that he wanted to turn on Joe and Eva.
Starting point is 00:05:43 And so he was honestly the person that I was closest to out there. Although our closeness was not even close because yeah, that would be an overstatement. But he was the one person who I could talk to sometimes when he would actually allow himself to be seen with me. Kyle, I also knew wanted to make a movie. It wasn't shown, but I had a conversation with Kyle
Starting point is 00:06:07 where I was like, dude, are you playing the game that you wanted, you came out here wanting to play? Are you making yourself proud right now? I know you wanna fucking play hard, play hard. Now is your chance. What did he say? He was like, I've heard a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I don't want to hurt any more people. God bless Kyle. He's so sweet. And he he's being real when he's when he says that he doesn't want to hurt people. Yeah. But who did he hurt? David?
Starting point is 00:06:39 Thomas? Yeah. He hurt David. He hurt David for sure. That was a hard one for David. OK. Can we go hard one for David. Okay, could we go back to that David vote? Because I feel like that there seemed to be like, we got presented one way on the show,
Starting point is 00:06:52 but I get the sense a little bit from following you on social media that you don't feel like that necessarily all of those events were presented as you saw them. Absolutely, the way that I saw it and also the way that it was seen by everyone was that from the first day of new Loggy, David, Eva and I mutually decided that we would work
Starting point is 00:07:13 together because it was mutually beneficial. There was no clingingness to be had, okay. David and I, we were allies. And people can roast me if they want for wanting to work with him, but honestly, I don't think people understand the desperation that I felt. Desperation is not cute, I know it's not.
Starting point is 00:07:35 But coming from Vula and having made it from Vula, I was just so fucking happy to be in the room. And David and Eva were the first people since day five when Kevin got voted out who wanted to work with me who I felt like I could trust. So if you're selling, I'm buying. Am I thinking the most strategically? Probably not, but I fucking went through the wringer
Starting point is 00:07:57 and I was just doing what I could. Yeah, okay, so you and David have an alliance. He wants to bring you into the six and make the five. No David Eva and I David didn't that that's part of the misconception right is that like David wanted to bring me in I was in from day one Mm-hmm. Okay. So was there Was there concern from you that Shaheen was getting close to Camilla? Absolutely, I from you that Shaheen was getting close to Camilla? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I didn't know exactly what was happening, but I knew that Camilla was tight with Kyle because Kyle refused to vote her out. And I knew that Camilla was tight with Shaheen because he picked her immediately to be his partner for one of the challenges. And so I didn't know exactly what was happening, but I knew that something was brewing.
Starting point is 00:08:42 And I knew that these people would probably try to go against Joe and Eva together. And you were trying to prevent that? Yes, I was because at that moment I was still being loyal to David, Joe and Eva. Yes. Okay. Now last night in the episode, we saw that you said you were going to write Joe's name down and it seemed like that from my perspective, that Joe became incredibly stressed
Starting point is 00:09:07 by the fact that you were gonna write his name down. Were you seeing that from your perspective? No, I did not see that at all. They did a great job hiding it, probably because I was just on a hammock crying. So too many tears in my eyes, I can't see anything. Yeah, I didn't know that that had happened at all. It was a shock to me to see how that actually played out.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Are there a lot of players looking for the hidden immunity idol? It seems like that there is only, it seems odd that there's only one idol in the game at this point and no idol in the post-merge. Yeah, I don't know how that happened. I feel like there was just some collective group think where we were just like, all right, whatever. This isn't, it's not happening. Let's just focus on other things. Because no, I don't, to my knowledge, people weren't looking. How great would it have been, Mary, if you could have gotten the knowledge is power last night? That would have been so fun. That would have really shaken things up. I think that was
Starting point is 00:10:07 what I really needed to give myself some hope again, because I had felt disappointment first, not disappointment, but just hopelessness is a better word. For so long after Stephanie got voted out, Kevin, Justin, David, Star, after each of the tribal councils, I'd felt for a split second like, woo, I didn't get voted out. And then immediately think, fuck, what am I gonna do now? And I'd felt that feeling so many times,
Starting point is 00:10:37 which is why that final challenge, I didn't even make it to the puzzle. My soul gave up. I think my soul was like, girl, you don't have to go through this again. Like, I couldn't imagine a way forward and looking back, like, seeing everyone's connections, I think the only way I would have made it is if, one, I had another shot in the dark, and then two, if I just continued to win immunity after immunity after immunity challenge. Yeah. You know, we saw you in the pre-merge that when you were trying to make your tribe think
Starting point is 00:11:07 that you had the idol and did a really convincing job, did you consider going back to that playbook? No. No, I didn't. I don't know, maybe because like I don't like to repeat myself. I didn't think about doing that. I think at that point my- Because you did that very well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Well, also I knew Say. I knew that she would take it that way. And I think that it was gonna be a lot harder to fool six other people, each of whom are, you know, different from Say and not going to be thinking the same way because they didn't have to play as hard as Say did. Yeah. Okay. I want to go back to the star vote from last week where it seems like that this is planned. The four people on the bottom are talking about it. Did you ever feel like that that was going to happen?
Starting point is 00:12:06 That the star vote was going to happen? I'm sorry, to avoid voting out star to go to the four people on the bottom go to rocks. I'm sorry. Oh, I believed it for maybe like two hours when I initially told people. But then I think the next day we were out the water. I was like, so you guys thought about it? They're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're still thinking about it. I'm like, it's a no-go, it's not happening.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Camilla was super convincing though. She was like, yeah, I'll go to rocks. I was like, that's my girl. But no, I didn't. I knew that it was either gonna be me or Star that night for maybe like the, yeah, I'm getting the days mixed up, but I know. Okay. Last night at the tribal council we saw, David stands up when you got voted out. Nobody has ever done that before. Did you understand what was happening, why he was standing?
Starting point is 00:13:00 Did you get that it was a tribute to you immediately? Rob, I had no idea that happened. I was in a different world. I was out of body, out of mind when I was getting voted out. I did not see David at all. I had heard about it. People were like, he stood up for you. And I was like, like, like a little bit like he stood up and sat down.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Or like he. But looking back at it, like, yeah, I know, I know. David was doing that because he was like, fallen soldier, my girl. Yes, true. What an amazing tribute. I wonder if maybe more people will do that in the future. I hope they do, but I don't think it'll ever be as amazing as that moment because they won't have, no, they won't have Star in the background trying to not laugh. I know Star in her head was thinking, David, such a fucking ass, what are you doing? That was honestly Rob, I like wanted to,
Starting point is 00:13:52 I was prepared to cry at my vote out. I didn't expect I would cry from laughter. Was that tribal council more heated than we saw on TV last night? He did. I don't know if it was heated, but it was definitely emotional. I mean, Camilla was crying the whole time. I was in my feelings. Shaheen was in his feelings. We were in our feelings for sure. And I also knew it was me. I gave a little swan song speech. It wasn't shown. I was like, well, you know, sometimes you do all you can do and that's all you can do. And then Jeff was like, how do you know? And I'm like, baby girl, it's me. It's been me for a long time, okay. Was there something you did in the game that we didn't see that you wish we would have gotten to see?
Starting point is 00:14:30 I wish that people would have seen... Okay. I wish that people would have known that I was not having fun at all being chased by Say. Say, well actually, Say apologized to me after the game and I accepted her apology. We're good. But I want to say that in the game of Survivor, you have to lie.
Starting point is 00:14:47 And sometimes that includes lying to yourself. I had to lie to myself and say that I was having fun so that I could make it to the next day. Because if I let myself feel all of the hopelessness and antagonization and ostracization that I actually was feeling, I don't think I would have had the strength to get up and like keep playing
Starting point is 00:15:07 and also Changing gears. I was pretty responsible for the Cedric Voda. They didn't show that at all But that we got together and they were like, what do we do? And I'm like Cedric guys. It's okay I know I'm from Vula, but it's okay to vote Cedric. I don't trust him. He's a liability. I want to work with you guys It was my way of cementing trust with everyone else moving forward Was any part of that payback from Vula? Absolute fucking Louie Robb. I mean like I love Cedric now, but yeah, we didn't work together at all He wanted me out all the time And so they were like Mary you got to make said feel safe and I made him feel safe enough to not play a shot
Starting point is 00:15:42 In the dark and I wish they would have shown that revenge is so sweet, but you know, it's okay. I know it in my heart. Yeah. Okay. Well, Mary, thank you for making some time to talk this through. I know that this journey was one that you were really just like scraping and scratching this whole way through. So congratulations to go as far as you did when nobody was really, as you said, letting you in the room. Yeah. Thank you, Rob. I'm really proud of the way that I played. I give myself a lot of grace. And I also give the people that I played the game with a lot of grace. Everybody was playing for the first time. Everybody was making the moves that they thought that
Starting point is 00:16:18 were best for them. And I cannot fault anybody for playing that the way that they did. I'm happy. Thank you, Mary. I liked it when you did this after you hit the way that they did. Okay. I'm just, I'm happy. Thank you. Mary, I liked it when you did this after you hit the shot in the dark. That was great. Yes. Okay. Yes. I'll see you later.
Starting point is 00:16:33 See you later. Bye. Bye. All right, everybody. There you have it. There's Mary and Mary did have a tough road to go in this game. She really, she hit the shot in the dark, but she is a player who really didn't catch too many breaks as this season went on. It seemed like that there was that one point when
Starting point is 00:16:53 she thought she got in with the strong people and as Mary said, she did, she was in with the strong people, but ultimately that didn't work out either and ultimately we lost a fun one last night with Mary. We still have more to do here today as Jordan Kalish is going to join us for a little this week in Survivor History when we come back right after this. Yeah that's right we're back ready to play a little bit of twish with the guy who is delving into the annals of survivor history. That would be the one, the only Jordan and Kayla. Jordan, how are you? I'm doing great, Rob. Oh yeah. I had a great time on the B and B with Aliana and Mike. And I, luckily I am in a world right now, no enemies,
Starting point is 00:17:45 so nobody plotting against me, baby. We're doing this. Yes, very topical reference, talking about last week's Survivor episode. And so very excited to have our great guest here with us to take me on and twish, of course, friend of the podcast, Danielle Mathis. Danielle, how are you?
Starting point is 00:18:05 I'm doing great. I'm happy to be here. Danielle, what's going on? I mean, it's busy work season. I work in the theme park industry and we're opening up a new theme park this month. So that's exciting. Oh, okay. Can you give us any more information? Oh, I mean, Jordan was nodding, but Epic Universe is opening. I work with Universal and yeah, we've been doing what's an epic universe. How to Train Your Dragon, the Ministry of Magic from Harry Potter.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Whoa. Super Nintendo World's Dark Universe to like Frankenstein's Monster and the Wolfman and that's all in one theme park. Yeah. Epic Universe. Epic Universe. Jordan, you're a big Epic Universe guy. I mean, when I was younger, I was definitely a theme park guy. I like to go on on roller coasters. It's been a little it's been a little while, but it's been a while since I've been to like any of the like podcasts is a real rollercoaster.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Yeah. Any like Universal Studios or Disney or any of those. But I do enjoy them. This summer, my brother's baby is going to be like a year this month. So in a couple months, we figure like we'll take them to like Nintendo world or one of these places. So I think it'll be one. He's one. Yeah. Nintendo. I think my'll be. How old is the baby? One? He's one. Yeah. He's playing a lot of Nintendo? I think my brother wants to go. I think that's the real thing. Okay. All right. Okay. He'll get a kick. He'll get a kick out of the, out of the characters that walk around. Danielle, do you get, do you ever get to be a character? That's not my role, but I, not for lack of trying.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Yes. Okay. All right. Well, let's get into our This Week in Survivor History quiz. Okay. Jordan, we'll put together six categories that we will have to choose from of seasons. Jordan, what's on the docket today? All right. So we have Survivor Marquesis, we have Pearl Islands, Blood Vs. Water, San Juan del Sur, Survivor 43, and then we have a New Era Mystery Box. So those are- Oh, Danielle, you're in luck today. A new-
Starting point is 00:20:16 A mystery box is back. The N-E-M-N-B, N-E-M-B. Bring your own box, bring your own mystery box. All right, where are we going first, Danielle? Okay. I'm going to be honest. I need a win this week because Survivor Orlando premiered and it does not reflect me in a good light. Oh, we can watch that? It's on YouTube. Survivor Orlando. Survivor Orlando. Should I look that up? Survivor Orlando. Yeah. Make up for my lack of not watching it, but everybody
Starting point is 00:20:45 else can watch it. Not great SEO for Survivor Orlando. Nowhere to hide. Is this it? Hidden idols? Something like that. It might be very hidden. They should get Mike. Survivor Orlando colon hidden from Google. They should get Mike to do it. So then when you Google it, it's like Survivor Orlando Bloom. And then anyone trying to Google Orlando Bloom would find the season. Oh, that's good marketing. I'll remember that for next year. That's good.
Starting point is 00:21:20 So I get to start, right? You can't pick Survivor Orlando. No, I blacked it out. I don't remember anything. I'm going to go with. So did Google. I'm going to go with Blood vs. Water. All right. Blood vs. Water. The first of two Blood vs. Water's that are on this quiz. After being voted out for the second time of the season,
Starting point is 00:21:40 Laura Morett found herself back on Redemption Island in her first challenge back. She came in first place and then helped which players survive by assisting with their puzzle. The mom says Tina. Yes. There was the, the mom Alliance. Laura and Tina bonded out there on redemption islands. So she did help Tina move on and a Vitas was eliminated. So you start with two points, Danielle. Rob, where are we going? Rob Warren Okay. Well, Danielle, very quick to the answer there. I will- Daniel That's a good sign.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Rob Warren Okay. I'm going to take the other blood versus water. I'll go with season 29. Daniel Great. San Juan del Sur, very underrated season. I rate it as my favorite of the versus water seasons. So Jeff became annoyed with the majority Alliance when they were clearly rigging the coconut chop challenge to achieve a predetermined outcome. He promptly stopped the challenge and awarded the overnight barbecue reward reward to which player who would have inevitably won anyway. So I believe this was. She's not a girl, she's a mom.
Starting point is 00:22:57 I'm going to say it's Missy. So Missy, Rob, your two points are just showing up in your in your scoreboard 2 to 2. Missy, the correct answer. Yes, Spicy Jeff really came out there. He did not like that these people were rigging one of his Survivor Classic challenges. But Missy. In the backseat and let me drive. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Haven't heard enough of that. Do you remember who Missy took the beer? Shut your mouth, homie G. Oh, Baylor, come on. Let Jordan cook. Come on, Baylor. Yeah, she took Bay Jordan cook. Come on, Bailor. Yeah, she took Bailor and Jacqueline with her on that reward.
Starting point is 00:23:29 No, she took Natalie. Natalie, Jordan. Oh, Natalie? Oh, okay. Controversially left Jacqueline behind. Oh, that's right. Yes, yes, yes, you're right. So it is two to two.
Starting point is 00:23:37 And Danielle, where are we going next? That would have been a hard question. That was a great teamwork, Danielle, that the two of us have to correct the guy who's writing the questions. Well, that was not the question. Well, he didn't podcast about it all last fall. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:52 He sent notes, so. I will take Pearl Islands. All right, Pearl Islands. We're going back to the single digits. Last week was pretty new school in terms of Twitch. I think the furthest we went back was Exile Island. On this quiz, we have two single digit seasons. Here is Survivor Pearl Islands. In an episode more widely known for the dead grandma lie at the Loved Ones Reward Challenge,
Starting point is 00:24:14 the Word Search Immunity Challenge also had a somewhat memorable conclusion. Which player was originally declared the winner, yet was stripped of the immunity necklace for misspelling the word liaison, leading to a second round of the challenge to decide the actual winner. It was, um, it was Burton. Burton Roberts, that is correct. You have a four to two lead. We are perfect so far on the quiz. I think I would have hesitated more and said, was it Dara who had the spelling error and Burton one? Cause I feel like it's more likely Dara had the spelling
Starting point is 00:24:45 error. But it turns out that a diss on Mississippi. No, it was Burton. Burton was the one who was and it was weird. It was weird because if you spelled anything wrong, you got like kicked out of the challenge and this it was a weird challenge. So Burton does have the immunity strip from him. He doesn't even get to compete in the tiebreaker. So that is a four to two lead for Danielle. Rob, where are we going next?
Starting point is 00:25:09 Boy, I'll go with the new era mystery box. New era mystery box. So the mystery boxes can be hard. They could be easy. Let's open it up and find out. Deshaun Radin and Lindsay Deloshewis from seasons 41 and 42, respectively, each famously selected the Safebox in order to survive the do or die twist. Which two players from 41 and 42 were voted out after do or die.
Starting point is 00:25:46 OK. I could I could be off about this, but OK. I actually I think I do know this, OK. All right. I'm going to'm gonna say that those people were Liana and Dreya. Liana and Dreya. So these were both done at the final seven of Survivors 41 and 42, which is part of the reason I didn't like the twist
Starting point is 00:26:20 because this final seven should be more of a clean vote. And I guess it ended up being that because the do or die did not hit. But Leanna and Dreya were both the seventh placers and therefore the correct answers. Rob, you get two points. We are tied four to four. So we go to the final round of the quiz.
Starting point is 00:26:33 A lot went on at that, this is our 42 final seven. If you did a do or die and then it was, then we did, Dreya did knowledge is power, right? Yeah, and she used her extra vote. And I think also in 41, and she used her extra vote. And I think also in 41, Zander used his extra vote. So both had too much. A lot going on.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Pretty crazy stuff. And then she got voted out. Yeah. Yeah, poor Dreya, poor Leanna going out at the do or die twist. I'm happy that we don't do that anymore on Survivor. So we have Marquesis or we have 43. Danielle, this is very important here, which category you choose.
Starting point is 00:27:12 It's tough. I want to impress Owen, but I'm going to go with Marquesis. All right, back to the Marquesa. In what some may consider one of the cringiest moments in Survivor history, Nalia offered an already sucked mint to her tribe after getting back from the reward. She was taken on this reward by Pascal despite it being which other contestant's birthday? She went on the reward with Pascal, but it was the Sepia's birthday.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Yes, Sepia's birthday. Very Sean Rector saying a very nice rendition of happy birthday to her. And Sean was really the one who was like, how do you not take Vasepia when it is her birthday? So Danielle- It's my brother's birthday. Oh, happy birthday. Whose birthday?
Starting point is 00:27:55 My brother. Oh, happy birthday. Yes. Yeah. Big day in the Sestorino household. And Danielle, six points to Rob's four points. Six perfect score for Danielle. I know. And Rob, you don't want to lose on your brother's birthday of all days. So here we are going to Survivor 43. Rob, did you like the crin's bracket that we did on the BNB? Yes, I did very much. Very fun crin's bracket. Great idea by, I believe it was Mike Bloom's idea.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Yeah. Right? And executed to perfection, baby. All right. 43. Who found the choose your champion advantage, allowing this player to bet on who would win immunity, also becoming immune in the process, if correct? Okay. Well, Jordan. Yeah. I hope you're ready because I believe the answer is Cody. Cody. Great player on season 43 and the correct answer. So you get two points, Rob. We are tied six to six. I don't know. I know Kalish math could get a little controversial, but in my book, that is a tie. So does Kalish have a tiebreaker ready? The answer is yes, I do. I've had this tiebreaker ready actually for the last couple of weeks and we haven't gone to a tiebreaker. So we are going to do a twist list here. These are going to be the new era successful idol plays, which means that
Starting point is 00:29:20 the idol, the person played an idol that negated the highest or tied highest vote total. The person who played it at tribal is not, what am I writing here? The person who played it at tribal, not necessarily the person it was played for. So it's the person who stood up and played it. And we are gonna say the new era, we are recording this on Tuesday, by the way.
Starting point is 00:29:44 So we don't know what happens in episode 11 of season 48. So this is through episode 10 of season 48. Usually 48 is not, the current season is not eligible on Twitch. On this Twitch list it is. So these are people that successfully played idols in the new era. We are going to start with Danielle though if you are wrong and Rob gets it right it is it is over also vice versa if you were to get it right Rob gets it wrong it is over. I'm not gonna tell you how many
Starting point is 00:30:13 there are but okay so Danielle where who are you going with first and you can't repeat an answer obviously. Okay are you to accept some pushback if it happens? If it happens on 48, uh, episode 11, it does not count because we don't know. I'll address it if it gets there. Cause my, my mind is blank. Um, I'm going to go with, um, Julie from 45. Julie from 45 is the correct answer. So Julie is off the board. Danielle, you have a seven to six lead. Rob, you need to match. Okay. I'm going to go with Rachel. Rachel is correct. So we are tied. We go to the next one. Danielle, who are you going with?
Starting point is 00:30:55 I can feel everyone flinching. I'm just wondering, this is where I was wondering pushback because they're the only ones I could think of. Where it was played before a vote with Dre account. of where it was played before a vote with Dreya count? Dreya's did not, no it wouldn't because it didn't negate votes. So yeah, so unfortunately Dreya is incorrect. I said in the rules, they idle negated the highest
Starting point is 00:31:18 or tied highest vote total. No, that's fine to repeat the rules, sorry about that. Yep, so Rob, if you get this right, you win the game and if not, we continue. Okay. And hopefully, yeah. I'm gonna go with Kyle. Kyle from Survivor 48. This is a Twitch history here because of the first,
Starting point is 00:31:34 technically the first season 48 question ever asked on Twitch. And with that, Rob, you were the winner by a score of eight to seven. Congratulations, but Danielle, you were fantastic. I'm glad you said Julie, because that was not one that I recall. I said, say. Yeah. We have, there are three more that you guys didn't say. Three more. Let me just try to think. I'm trying to think from Survivor 41. It's just something, 41, I cannot think of any in Survivor 41. Is that correct?
Starting point is 00:32:11 The earliest one is actually, and let me just go back to my notes here, but the earliest one is Survivor 44. Survivor 44. Okay. Brandon Cottam? Yes, that is one of the correct answers. Okay. And then did another one happen in Survivor 44? I am... Oh, did Danny play? Danny played on Franny. Actually, so Say would not have been correct
Starting point is 00:32:37 because that vote would have been three to one had she not played it. So it would have been incorrect. That would have not been correct. Danny played the idol on Franny? Yeah, so Danny, based on the rules it would have been incorrect. That would have not been correct. Danny played the idol on Franny. Yeah, so Danny, based on the rules, would have been the correct answer. There is one more.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Also from 44. There were three in 44. Also from server 44. And think about the rules. It doesn't have to be the highest. It could also be the tied highest. That is technically a correct idol play as well. It was a two to two vote against Sarah Wade.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Who went home. Yeah, it was not. I apologize to Sarah. I thought she was a patron to two vote against Sarah Wade. Who went home. Of course. I apologize to Sarah. I thought she was a patron on a baseball game. That's how much I disrespected her accidentally. Like she's amazing, but I totally- No, it was Josh. She went home.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Josh was the correct answer. I would not have gotten that one if you gave me six hours. That was probably the toughest. That was the toughest one on there, but that is, there's really only one, two, three, four, five, six, maybe seven. If you're listening to this, you know, if there's seven or several. Okay. We have the verbal rebus. Danielle, what's your opinion of the verbal rebus?
Starting point is 00:33:36 Okay. I actually was thinking about this after last week. So I used to be neutral on the verbal rebus. And then- You're pretty new. Nope. We don't love that word though. But lately, it's really been annoying Rav, which has made me like it more, because I think that's funny. I agree.
Starting point is 00:33:53 I think that's one of the best parts. I don't think it's hurting anybody except Rav. And that is not, in this situation, bad. So I think I'm now pro of the nooch. I think the good thing about introducing the word nooch into the Twitch lexicon is that the verbal rebus is by far less cringy in comparison. So we have the verbal rebus. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:34:12 This guy sat in a large chair one time. Okay. Plus Penner was medevaced due to an infection on his blank. Okay. Plus Boston Rob, Charlie Davis and Justin Piappi are from a state often abbreviated using these four letters, the first four letters of the state that they are that they are from or live in. Plus the player who was idled out by Amanda at the Micronesia Final Six.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Minus Africa's third placer minus once the votes are- Wait, can you slow down? I'm still on- Oh yeah, sure. What do we have? What do you need me to go back to? I think Amanda.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Amanda idled out this- Plus the player who was idled out by Amanda at the Micronesia final six. Okay. Minus Africa's third placer. Okay. Minus Africa's third placer. Okay. Minus once the votes are read, the decision blank final. Person voted out, be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Okay. Who sat in the large chair? Dan Limbo. Yeah, Dan. So we just have Dan. Where was Penner's infection? Knee. Plus knee.
Starting point is 00:35:24 The state that Charlie, Justin, and Bust and Rob are from? MA? M-A-S-S, the four letters, mass. Oh, mass. Plus this player was idled out by Amanda. Alexis? It was Alexis.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Minus the Africa third-placer. Oh, I understand the verbal part of this. Yeah, there we go. OK. Okay. So the third placer in Africa? Lex. Lex and the minus once the votes are read the decision blank final. Is. All right who do we got? Is it Danny but De Niro I don't know Matt what's his last name? Danny De Niro, I don't know, Matt? What's his last name?
Starting point is 00:36:06 Danny De Niro, yeah, Danny Massa. Why on earth to get the letter A, will you go to Alexis minus Lex minus, there was no easier way in survivor history, 48 seasons to get the letter A? Let me take us back in the time machine from last week when I used Y's and you were like, wait a second, this is spelling, not a verbal rebus,
Starting point is 00:36:32 when I only needed the sound E. Technically, I needed the- You did it for the sound, uh? You, Rob, this is the opposite take that you had last week. You're like Cedric with the whole extra, with like the losing your vote thing. You have a totally opposite opinion here. Apparently I need to have the syllable. Okay. Anybody that's like, Hey, Rob, let Jordan cook. This made perfect sense to get for Danny Massa to go to Alexis minus
Starting point is 00:36:58 Lex minus is this is your, this is your logic. It's not Danny Massa. Right? Apparently I I need the uh. I would have just done A if you didn't go through your whole diatribe last week when I had Jam Jam and Yule in there with the Ys and you were like, you just needed to put E. But apparently, I think it should be the sound or the spelling. I think you could figure it out no matter what. So I think it's fine. This is your logic. And I knew that you were going to say that. do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:35 I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it. I'm going to be able to do it.
