Hey, everybody. What's going on?
Rob Sestrino back for our exit interview on a Monday after a busy Thanksgiving holiday.
I hope you and yours, everybody here in the U.S., had a great Thanksgiving holiday.
I was traveling. Hope everybody here in the U.S. had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I was traveling.
Hope everybody had a nice trip also if they were on the road.
But here we are back at work just for a quick day back here for me before I head out to
Houston for our live show this week.
But we are going to have our exit interview with Kyle, who my mom was such a huge fan.
She stopped me at Thanksgiving and said, I loved Kyle.
He was such a classy guy.
He had such a great exit.
Well, we're going to talk with him
and find out everything that Kyle had going on
here in Survivor 47.
If you missed it over the holiday weekend,
had a double dose of Survivors on the postgame show
as Hunter and Tiffany from from survivor 46 join me for
that and then survivor know-it-alls with steven from friday so all those are up plus i'll have
a club condo with bryce isaiah coming up on monday night but i see that we have kyle on the line let's
go ahead and patch him in hey kyle what's going on rob sister nino uh very nice to be uh chatting
with you first uh, how was Thanksgiving?
I wasn't starving on a rock, that's for sure.
Yeah, hopefully you weren't starving at all.
Okay, Kyle, a lot to talk about here from your time on Survivor.
Could you just tell us a little bit,
how did you think Tribal Council
was going to go the other night?
Exactly how it went.
You know, when you're,
when you play this game, like I did, and I've referenced it, you know, before going about 20 or,
or you're giving 120% of yourself for the reasons why you're here. When I came into survivor, I knew that I was going to put my foot on the gas pedal and I wasn't pulling my foot off the floor
until I seen God or a checkered flag. And I knew that that could be my ultimate demise of
the game, or it was going to be my ultimate, like the power for the win of the game. And so,
you know, it's exactly as I say, it's to be expected when you start going hard, like I do,
when you have people that are like folded over in the shelter, complaining of hunger and dehydration
and getting lightheaded and can't stand up and I'm dragging firewood out and I'm catching your crabs
and I'm going to get you water and I'm winning challenges and I'm going on rewards and all of
these things. I'm coming home with this, this immunity. Seemingly every time I go after it,
you know, it's, it gets to a point where it's like, if you don't take me out,
you're making me question your game at this point
because like i'm starting to not understand and that was what one of the things that happened
during the soul vote i'm very happy that saul went home instead of me that night but when gabe took
that immunity that was that was the united tribes time to clip me then that's when that should have
happened when that didn't happen that was like positive, concerning thing for me because I was like, why didn't you do this?
And that made me feel like I had some serious momentum in the game.
Yeah. Okay. Um, well, could you talk a little bit about that? Cause I wanted to ask you how,
how did the Saul vote? Cause it feels like to me that the Saul vote changed the whole season. So
how did that affect your game, the Saul vote?
So Saul and I, I want to start with Saul is awesome, man.
Like as many people have said before me,
Saul is an amazing person. And I had the opportunity to spend late nights,
early mornings, like talking with Saul in such depths
that it's like such personal levels
that I haven't talked to even some of my friends
this deep before.
And so I connected good with Saul.
But here's the thing.
We're on Survivor.
And when I go to a challenge and I'm going against Gabe and I think I can beat Gabe
and then Gabe beats me and gets an immunity around his neck
and I don't have that safety power after I've been a physical threat,
I'm back at camp now.
Now I have to figure out who I could paint the target as, you know,
a bigger threat than me.
And the way that I did that was by painting me as the biggest threat.
And so I went to Genevieve, Gabe.
I went to anybody that I felt like was anybody that I identified themselves
as a threatening player or had been told that they
were a threat and told them, Hey, do you understand that if I go home tonight, you're literally going
to go home next. Like you can see this pecking order. The tribe has been threat hunting nonstop.
And it's been very apparent. It's unanimous every single time. And so it's like, you understand,
Genevieve, if I go home, you're gone. Gabe, if I go home and you don't have that necklace on, you're out.
Like, there's no point in it.
So you might as well keep me around.
And I tried to tell him, like, my social game has been weak, like, haven't been talking much, whatever, which I think is bunk.
I think I had a great social game.
I had wonderful conversations with so many.
But what I wanted them to do is feel like something that they've been doing is going to have the upper hand on me in the end game. So yes, keep me,
keep me around. Let me be a part of your Alliance. You know,
be known that I will be a part,
I will be a number for you the whole way through and let you feel confident
enough that you can beat me in the end.
And that's when I will open up my book of recipes and show you the reason I'm
going to take that million dollars instead of you.
And so Genevieve, you know, she, she walked, she came to me and, and, um, gave some clarification and, and, uh, you know, recognized that motion that I put in and, and she, you know, came to
me with Gabe and was like, Hey, you know, like, what do you think about taking out Saul? And I'm
like, you see, I don't have this necklace on. Hell so like without without even a thought man I was
like let's do it and they approached me by saying Saul was after me yeah which was like a wonderful
way to approach me because I felt like Saul was like the mafia on the island like he's like good
looking I thought you were in the SSA yeah that's what I thought but yeah sol was intimidating to me yeah he if you can make me
feel that way you can make anybody feel that way and he's a powerful player he was able to
rap immediately he was able to see the future he he had a one he was good okay uh let me uh get to
some other stuff uh because we got so much to get to what made you vote for teeny at this vote
so teeny in the end game,
they don't show it in
before I go to the tribal council,
but what I did is I threw a bait and a hook out.
And by bait and hook,
I mean, you obviously seen earlier in the game,
I referred to Caroline and Sue
as Tweedledee and Tweedledum,
two people alike in the game.
And that was picked up very quickly.
And that word came back to me very quickly.
So I knew where that information leaked, right? So when it was coming to my end game,
I gave somebody a piece of information, teeny. And before long, Caroline came back to me,
Kyle, did you say this? Yes, I did. There's my leak in the boat right there. I told Caroline,
I said, Caroline, I promise you,
I told teeny this information because I was waiting for you to come back to me. She's literally like spreading. Everybody's like, you know, every,
every plan that anybody's had is open on the table because of her.
So I was just, it was my tell Mary at saying, Hey,
she's a liability to everybody's game.
You can't talk strategy without your, your game being blown up.
So just to add, I have my understanding.
So you only said Tweedledee and Tweedledum to Teenie and Teenie was then the person reporting.
No, not what I told the Teenie. That was a different piece of information.
Yeah. That Tweedledee and Tweedledum thing. That was shit that I told Rome because I was trying to
like make people that I wanted to work with or like to keep around seem like they weren't important
to me. Got it. You know, that's just, that's the way that I talk.
I don't expect people to understand it.
It's just what it is.
Now, Kyle, I don't know if you know this, if you're aware, but I think that Sue maybe
didn't love spending time with you on the island.
Did you get that impression when you were out there?
No, not when I was out there. I knew that she
didn't really care for me much. I knew that she didn't want to talk strategy with me. I knew that
I rubbed her the wrong way from the very beginning when I voted against her with TK. And you know,
that is what it is. She, she chose to hyper fixate on that, but she didn't, she didn't,
she was not ugly to me on the Island. I want to make that very clear. If I needed something and Sue was able, she helped me. How did it feel watching some of that back on the season where
she seemed to really not love what you were putting out there on the island?
That was that that's the alarming part, right? Because on the island, like I just said to my
face, she was a happy go lucky girl.
Like there was a one time where she shut me down before a challenge.
I was trying to talk strategy just in case something happened. We could have a pregame.
And she didn't like that. She just wanted good energy. I can respect that.
But, you know, that's like I say, the concerning thing is, is that this person was nice to me, to my face on the island, and seemingly bad to me and her confessionals.
So who knows?
So you were part of the group that voted out Gabe.
You wanted Gabe to go out.
What surprised you when you got back to camp after Gabe got voted out?
You know, honestly, I wasn't really too surprised after gabe got voted out i was just trying to
understand where to get my footing at this point because i've been working on you think
what happened after gabe went home there's gonna be new me or genevieve next i mean the way i was
looking at it was a very black and white i was looking at players individually i was giving them
each a threat level and i was watching high looking at players individually. I was giving them each a threat
level and I was watching high threat levels get knocked out repeatedly, almost as if it was a
domino effect. So I knew that if I didn't go hard and continue to win, it was going to be a problem.
But you heard clear as day and I said it out of my own mouth. I thought I could beat Gabe in that
individual immunity. It was a teamed effort to appoint that individual at the end of the challenge.
It was a couple piece program.
And Gabe beat me and took the necklace home for himself.
I couldn't risk.
Yeah, I don't know if you can answer this question, Kyle.
How come Andy wrote down Genevieve's name?
I don't know.
I don't think I can answer that.
Okay.
I don't know.
Just to be fair.
Yeah. I wasn't sure if, because he. I don't know. Just to be fair.
Yeah. I wasn't sure if, because he said he was loyal to the soil to you.
That's, that's, he was. And which is strange. I kind of, Andy's a very smart person. And I think he understood where Teenie was at. And I think that her running around and being that liability was a perfect masking for him in the game.
So I think going after Genevieve was the brilliant move to write her name
down. But I talked to Andy, Genevieve, Sam,
Caroline, all before my vote out.
And I tried to get on the same page with all of them and just say, Hey,
like, like y'all been with me for through thick and thin, like, you know, you got me,
I'll do anything for you at this point. You know, even if you sacrifice me tomorrow, like this day,
this transition point is what matters to me right here. And so I think that Andy was on the right
track and I should have went for Genevieve as well, but I was letting the noise get to me.
And I was willing to throw my hell Mary at that noisy player instead of that silent killer in the corner. We saw during the season that to,
you know, you're on Survivor, you're going to eat the food that's out there. Did you go back to
being vegan once you came home from Survivor or did you fall off the wagon? I'm a vegetarian, so I do not eat meat at all.
I do not do that.
And so it was challenging for me on the island,
but you've seen on the island, we deteriorated, man.
I mean, shoot, you've seen how well I ate.
Arguably, Kyle ate the best on season 47 out of anybody.
I still lost 17 pounds in 20 days, Rob. That's crazy. So it's like
when you're out there with such a huge goal in mind and so much, I mean, I'm carrying the weight
of the world on my shoulders is what it feels like. So yes, like when the opportunity comes
for any kind of nourishment, even though it does make you question yourself at times, take it,
dude, take it. How much of a surprise was it for you that you were such natural at the challenges?
That popped my mind. I didn't think that I would be that good, honestly. But I've never hit that
hard in my life, Rob. I've never ran that hard. I've never crawled that fast. I've never done
anything like that, that hard in my life. And it was like something about
being vulnerable. And when my body clicked survival mode and I realized that it was like
me, it was just me on all I had was me. And the only person that's been standing in my way was me.
I pushed my ass out the way it was running like I never ran before.
Yeah. And Kyle, you've talked so much about your family and everybody back home. What's been the response from all those people that you keep it a buck 20 for seeing you out there?
the game is it created a safety net for families across the nation. And if not the world, and when I say, I do not, I do not say it lightly. I mean it very boldly. It's the safety net for families
across the nation right now is incredible. My family doesn't need, I've never asked,
I don't ask for help. If I need something, I'm going to figure
it out or I'm just going to struggle until I fall so far. There's nowhere else to fall other than,
you know, you hit the bottom and stand back up. But what has happened is I'm seeing my community,
I'm seeing other people from other communities, I'm seeing people come from out of state and
gather and take part in watching the show together and, and, um, feeding one another and just
taking care of one another and all with family in mind, none of it's negative. It's all very
positive. And what that's done is it's, it's ignited this light in so many people.
It's put this energy out. That's bonded so many of us together. It's, it's unbelievable. I never
knew that that happened. I never thought I could be a person that could make that happen.
But I'll tell you right now, Rob, that even though I didn't win that million dollars, what we've done out there is far beyond what I can even perceive.
Kyle, that was what a classy exit that that's, I'm going to remember that what he said. So you really, uh, you made a big impression, uh, in, in my family. Uh, my mom was a big Kyle fan.
That's amazing. You know, and that I'm talking about, if we can't win the million dollars,
it's those things that, that, that bit right there, Rob, what you just said is that ripple effect.
We threw the stone and it hit the water.
And now it created a ripple that's going to travel out indefinitely.
It may get smaller over time.
Nature's going to take its course, but we put the ripple in effect.
And it's highlighted so much of that positive.
And right around Thanksgiving even.
How cool to highlight.
I didn't know it was going to work out like that.
I didn't even know I was going to say that.
I didn't even realize I was saying those things until I watched it back. And I was like, holy shit, Kyle, you just put a rock in your throat, buddy. Good job.
All right. Kyle, I know you got to run. Thanks for making some time. All the best to you and the family outside the show. OK.
Thanks, Rob. I appreciate you and your time.
All right. Thanks a lot, Kyle. Take care. Bye.
time. All right. Thanks a lot, Kyle. Take care. Bye. All right, everybody. There you have it. There is Kyle. And yeah, it was a, I think also maybe my son Anthony's also favorite from
this season. Talks about him a lot. All right. So there you have it. There's Kyle and Kyle trying
to, you know, make everybody out into a threat. But then ultimately they came back around and
said, oh, wait, actually you're the threat So ultimately it didn't work out, but seems like a super nice guy.
Speaking of nice guys, Jordan Kalish is waiting to play this week in Survivor History with us
and talk about everything that went on in episode 11 in Survivor History when we come back right
after this. So it's a new year. You know what that means, setting big goals. Maybe you promised yourself
you're going to hit the gym every day, or maybe you said you're going to learn to make fire with
a flint for once, or the classic save more money. But let's be honest, New Year's resolutions tend
to fizzle out by February. Wouldn't it be great if at least one of those goals could be automatic?

We've got our This Week in Survivor history after our belated exit interview.
Back here with us, the king of Survivor, Jordan Kalish.
Yo, how you doing, Rob?
How was the Thanksgiving?
Good.
Good.
How's the Cyber Monday for you, Jordan?
You get any deals?
So many deals.
So many great things are going to be shipped to my house.
I'm so excited.
The worst part of shopping online is that then there's a lot of deal FOMO.
You buy something and it's like, oh, now it's on sale?
You got to be happy with the deals you get.
You can't,
you can't keep looking.
You can't keep looking.
Once you have it,
you stop looking and that's how you avoid it.
You do with like,
like,
like plane tickets.
Also you can,
once you buy it,
just don't search.
Okay.
All right.
Well,
I've been taking on the patrons all season long on this week in survivor
history and here with us,
somebody who I speak to quite frequently on
the Survivor Patron Q&A. Erica is here. Erica, how are you?
Hi, I'm doing well, Rob. Rusted up.
Yes.
Thanksgiving weekend.
Okay. All right. You've recuperated?
Yes.
Okay. All right. Are you ready to talk some Survivor trivia?
I am. I'm hoping that we can win one for the patrons.
Win one for the patrons. Oh, I didn't think of it that you're playing for all the patrons, that they're all rooting for you.
I am. And yes, they can get behind this.
You're doing it for the patrons.
This is a win for the patrons. Yes.
Okay. All right. Well, the patrons, they have not gotten a lot of wins this season.
I know.
I'm sad.
It's been a pretty dominant run here for myself.
Yeah.
What are you going to do?
I don't know, but I'm going to try to beat you today.
Okay.
We'll see.
Let's see how you're doing in terms of episode 11.
Jordan, is it going to throw you off at all
that we're going to have a two-part finale?
That means we get a bonus week of Twish.
We do.
We get the bonus Twish.
I don't think it's going to throw me off.
I am in the Brian Cohen school here
where a two-part finale is just an episode before the finale
and then a two-hour finale.
Yeah, but you could do episode 13s and then incorporate all the finales so we don't normally get to do
finale twish to be fair i i think the last couple seasons i've been skipping to the finales anyway
so i i don't really think it's better for your twish business i mean i per i prefer it we get
to do uh an extra game we get to meet an extra patron that we wouldn't have met so the the week
13 patron is going to be like the bonus
patron. All right. Erica,
you know how this all works?
I do. I do have one quick question
for Jordan.
So if I
don't get the question right, Rob can
steal one or two points. I forget.
He could only steal one. Whether you get the
multiple choice or not, he could steal one
point. That's the max. And, you know, we've been we've been eating turkey all week.
It's time to talk turkey because we're going to the seasons.
We have Exile Island, Micronesia, Redemption Island, Karamoan, 42 and 44.
Erica, where are you taking us first?
Well, can you repeat?
I'm sorry. He says it very fast, Erica.
I thought that was slow. That was good.
Exile Island, Micronesia.
I think even if you're listening on 1.5 screen,
you need like a stenography
machine to keep up.
I need a metronome to just keep me
in rhythm. Exile
Islands, Micronesia. You're not making music. I need a metronome to just keep me in rhythm. Exile Islands.
Micronesia.
You're not making music.
Yeah, but I could
do it based on... I used to play
music. I know how to count
the beats of a metronome, Rob.
One of my many talents.
So Micronesia.
Redemption Island.
Okay.
Caramoan. So you got a little heademption Island. Okay. Caramoan.
So you got a little head bob now.
Okay.
42.
Got the head bob again.
Yeah.
And 44.
44.
So those are your six seasons.
Erica, where are we going first?
I just made my husband watch this because he didn't want,
he's never seen it.
Exile Island.
Funniest season ever. I agree. What did he think of it? just made my husband watch this because he didn't want he's never seen it exile island funniest
season ever i agree what did he think of it it's hilarious he thought it was funny okay it is a
very funny season i've often called it the the funniest season in survivor history i i would i
would stand by that up there up there with kagian and i think uh guatemala pretty funny too uh who Guatemala. Pretty funny, too. Who got to go on a spa reward by winning the touchy subjects chop challenge?
OK, just I'm I'm pretty sure it was three because I think it was where Courtney got all the, you know, negative things.
So. Spot and she took somebody, is that what happened?
spa and she took somebody. Is that what happened?
I don't want to say it because then Rob's like, you know. So who got to go on the spa reward by winning the touchy subjects challenge?
So it's just the person who won the challenge is what you're looking for.
I'm going to go with Suri. It was the only challenge she's ever won.
I think too.
You're going for it with your gut. And I was actually going to throw that Suri. It was the only challenge she's ever won, I think, too. You're going with your gut.
And I was actually going to throw that fact out.
It is the only individual challenge that Suri has won in her Survivor career.
I love Suri.
Makes sense that it's based on the social game.
Yes.
She's one of the best social players and strategic players in Survivor history.
Erica, you have two points.
Rob, you get the next question.
Okay, I'm going to go with Survivor 44.
All right, 44.
Who won the last GASP immunity challenge in Survivor 44?
Classic Survivor challenge.
Yeah, I know we talk about it more so in Survivor 43.
Yes, that would have been too easy.
Yeah.
Okay.
No, I got it.
I think I conflated the two of them.
Jam Jam is the winner of Last Gasp.
So Jam Jam's name was being thrown out
in this episode by Danny.
He did win immunity,
so that's why there ended up being some votes on Carson.
Instead, Rob, you get two
points. We are tied going into the
third question. And Erica,
you get to choose the next season. Let's go
Micronesia. Alright,
going to Micronesia. Who was sent
to Exile Island during the Survivor
auction, allowing them to
find the re-hidden idol?
Okay, let's think about this.
Who was
Micronesia?
It was during the auction.
Oh, yeah.
Who took all the money?
Yeah.
Natalie was like, duh, but you're going to be able to look for the idol again, right?
Yes.
Okay, so that had to be, he's a gymnastics instructor.
His name is Jason Siska?
It is Jason Siska, but you don't have to get the last name.
That is correct, Erica.
Is he a gymnastics instructor?
I didn't remember that, but I believe Erica.
I think Erica knows her stuff.
Yeah, you don't need to say what his job is.
I'm sorry.
That's how I remembered his name.
Sorry.
Of course, in the same episode, he would get voted out with the idol,
so it didn't last long.
Rob, you get to choose the next question.
I'm going to go with...
How about 42? I'm going to go with, um,
how about 42?
All right.
42. Our other new era season,
who was the knowledge is power advantage unsuccessfully played on in this
episode's tribal council.
So not the person who used it,
who did they essentially mafia investigate so i believe it was
i believe dre asks mike uh if he has an idol so dre Drea asks Mike, that is correct. Rob, you get two points. Yes. Uh,
Mike did have the idol, but little tricky boy, Omer was able to, was able to tip him off and he,
he, he got to hold onto the idol until the next episode. So that is correct. Uh, this is also the
same tribal council, uh, where, where Lindsay could have gone out on the do or die, but she
survived the Monty Hall problem.
So we are tied four to four.
The stakes are high.
There's two more questions left.
Both of you in good position here to get the win.
Erica, are we going to Redemption Island or Karamoan?
I'm trying to decide.
Let's.
Two legendary seasons.
Could be headed to the tiebreaker also.
We could.
That's going to be scary.
Let's go Karamoan.
All right.
Survivor Karamoan.
There has been a lot of talk about three-way tied votes this season based on Survivor 47's revelation that a voted-for player can vote in a
re-vote if the other player lost their vote.
One of these three-way ties occurred when Malcolm was voted out of
Caramoan.
Which two players did he tie with on the initial three to three to three
votes?
So there were three players who received three votes.
One of them, you know, is Malcolm.
You need to get the other two.
Okay.
Malcolm.
And it had to be one of the other guys in that alliance.
It was either Eddie or the used car salesman.
He's not a used car salesman.
I'm sorry I keep mentioning professions.
What was his –
Might be a gymnastics instructor.
No, no, no, no, no.
They were calling him a used car salesman.
So it's Eddie or Reynolds, and then it's got to be somebody from the favorites, the...
And...
It's a pretty hard question, I have to say.
Not an easy question.
This may be the hardest on the quiz.
One more time.
I'm sorry.
I just want to know what exactly I'm answering.
Sorry.
So there was a three-way tie. Malcolm was the one voted out of the game.
Which two players did he tie with on the initial three to three to three votes?
So you're looking for two players who received three votes on the initial vote.
Okay. I think I have the favorites person and I'm going to guess on if it's Eddie or Reynolds. I'm going to go Reynolds and Andrea.
Reynolds and Andrea Belkey.
If you're right, you really prove that you know their stuff.
And you do, Erica.
Erica, two points.
Wow.
Congratulations.
You have a perfect score for that of six.
Yeah, I agree.
That's always like Sherry as the other person.
So Sherry was not if we had gone to the multiple choice,
Sherry was not even one of the fake answers.
Eddie and Brenda were the two people that were involved
in the multiple choice.
That would have been incorrect.
Yeah, it could have been Sherry.
So the multiple choice would have been you gave four names
and then...
That's what I always do.
It was Eddie and Andrea, Eddie and Brenda.
But you have to pick two of them?
You have to pick two. So Eddie and Andrea, no, no, no. It would have was Eddie and Andrea, Eddie and Brenda. But you have to pick two of them? You have to pick two.
So Eddie and Andrea.
No, no, no.
It would have been Eddie and Andrea, Eddie and Brenda,
Reynolds and Andrea, Reynolds and Brenda.
Okay.
So each correct answer would have had two names.
Okay.
You've been around the block before.
You know how this is done.
Well, I was surprised.
I thought that you were just going to give four names
and then two of them were right.
No, that would be insane.
Insanity.
All right, Rob, you need to get this question right.
We are going to Redemption Island.
Philip Shepard claimed to have a premonition
from his great-great-grandfather, Jessam Herring,
which allowed him to find his pink shorts,
which had been hidden in the previous episode
by which player?
Who hid his pink shorts?
I believe that was Julie.
Julie Wolfe, if you're right. We are going to the tiebreaker. who hid his pink shorts. I believe that was Julie. Julie Wolf.
If you're right,
we are going to the tiebreaker.
If you're wrong,
Erica is going to take it home
for the patrons.
And for the time being,
we have a tie
because that is correct.
We are tied six to six.
So what we have done in the past
with the tiebreaker,
I believe when it was episode eight,
we did the eighth place players.
It wouldn't make sense to go backwards to the 11th place players because none of them
would have been voted out uh this week in survivor history so this uh this is kind of a week where
we've been at different points in different seasons you had this prepared you had this
prepped already yes i mean i have to give it up for the self-proclaimed king of survivor because
i do have to i have to pull up the randomizer.
But I do I did have the the idea in place just in case we were we were tied.
We are going to go with the first jurors because there are plenty of seasons of this week's Survivor history where this would this episode starts the jury.
So more of the newer seasons were already into the jury at this point.
But we're going to go with the first juror. I feel like that's something that is
possible to remember without being too easy or too hard.
The mayor of Ponderosa.
Mayor of Ponderosa. So I am going to the number randomizer. We're going seasons one to 45
and we're starting with Erica.
No 46.
No. Oh yeah. One to 46. You're right. I don't know why I said. Oh, yeah. One to 46.
You're right.
I don't know why I said 45.
But okay.
One to 46.
Erica, we get to start with the very first season.
Survivor Borneo.
Who was the mayor of Ponderosa, the first juror?
First juror in Survivor history.
Okay.
I have to talk this through, honestly.
Yeah, you're on.
It's a long time.
We know...
And do I get a steal on these in the tiebreaker?
No.
If Erica is wrong...
You asked a rules question. I can ask
a rules question.
If Erica's wrong, you'll get your own
season.
I know who the first
survivor of the Amazon is.
It's Borneo.
You said she gets it wrong.
I'm going to get my own season.
Okay, very good.
Very good.
We're also on all stars.
This is a guess.
God darn it.
Why the first one?
I'm sorry.
I do apologize
For the language
That wasn't so bad
It's not what I really wanted to say
I don't think I'm right
But I'm going to go with Greg
Greg Buess
Rob, is she right?
She's right
She's right, Erica
You get the point
You were at seven
If Rob gets the next one wrong
He is going to be...
That was a stab in the dark.
A shot in the dark.
All right, Rob,
you are going to go with season 21.
We're going to Survivor Nicaragua.
Hard one.
Really, the middle is really my weakness.
Yes, I feel like that's a lot of people's weakness
okay the first juror well i can talk it through as well um was it that dirt squirrel alina or
was there somebody that came after did alina vote at the final tribal council um
I'm gonna say
that the mayor of Ponderosa
was
somebody who I believe was mentioned early
in this podcast I'm gonna say Brenda
was the mayor of Ponderosa.
No, I'm wrong.
Brenda Lowe was a juror on that season.
She was the third juror.
You should have gone with your gut, Rob.
It was the Dirt Squirrel, Lena Wilson.
Nobody remembers freaking Alina.
Other than her being called the Dirt Squirrel.
You said her name.
The most forgettable survivor contestant of all time.
She was my winner pick. You said her name. The most forgettable survivor contestant of all time. She was my winner pick.
You said her name,
so clearly you remember
that she was a person.
But Erica wins the game
seven to six.
It's not always the case
where the first,
the first,
that the merge boot
is also the first juror.
But she was.
Alina was.
So, Erica, congratulations.
The streak is over.
Rob is eight and three
on the season,
and you are going to take home
a brand new crown.
Well done, Erica.
You deserve the win for getting that
Survivor Caramo in question right.
That was a tough one. Thank you.
I would not have gotten that one either.
Oh, I think you would have. No, I would
have said Sherry.
Really? I don't know. I guess if I had the multiple
choices, maybe I would have got to it, but I don't know.
I think Sherry did get
some votes at the next Tribal Council. Give me another
season. Give me another season in the randomizer. Let think Sherry did get some votes at the next tribal council. Give me another season.
Give me another season in the randomizer.
Let's see who you get here.
We're going to go to season 25, Philippines.
Philippines, first member of the jury
was an eight-person jury.
I know.
Okay.
I know Jeff Kent is on the jury.
Is he the mayor of Ponderosa? I think is he the mayor of Ponderosa
or is R I think RC
is the mayor of Ponderosa
it was RC like Kalina also
my winner pick and I guess I don't do so well
with my winner picks
one more mayor of Ponderosa
let's see how you do on this one that's why the
randomizer is so important we're going to 10 Palau
Kobe
it is Kobe.
I don't even have to Wikipedia that one.
I always do just to double check.
But yeah, Kobe was the first person voted out after the whatever you call the merge on Palau.
Okay.
Tribe Dissolve.
Erica, what's your level of love for a verbal rebus puzzle?
I do like them a lot, but I feel like
Jordan may read them too quickly
so I can't keep up my thought.
Would a metronome help, do you
think? I don't know.
Like, I have a little piece that
I've been scratching things down as
we're playing, and I just want to scratch it
down and word it out because I never get the chance.
Okay. Alright. So we're going with a
slow verbal rebus today.
Okay.
We're going to really, really make it last.
Okay.
So Guatemala Cindy could have given these to everyone, but chose to keep one for herself.
Okay.
Minus the last, Wait, this...
Why is it minus?
It shouldn't be minus.
It should be plus.
So it should be plus
the last three letters
of the last name
of the first player
who was ever rocked out
in Survivor history.
They went to rocks
and this person was the first person
who got voted out.
It's the last three letters
of his last name.
This was a stretch.
It is funny.
Okay, we're going to go to the next one.
Plus, so we're all pluses so far.
Okay.
The survivor professor who got onto Survivor.
Okay.
Minus the social media site
where we all used to live tweet Survivor,
but now we're all on Blue Sky.
That's also a stretch.
I think it was an easier way to get there.
Yeah, probably.
It could have been like Xander's first name or something.
Just gave it away, but that's fine.
Plus, Blank's tweaked back turned out to be all right after getting medevaced from David versus Goliath.
Okay.
Oh.
Plus, the first letter of guatemala's pancake dancer
first name of the first letter of the first name all right so all right erica
okay i don't know it all right so cindy could have given these i wasn't sure if it was a truck
or a car uh but i didn't think anybody's name starts with truck uh except for joel yeah uh then uh jordan really stretches to get us to the last
three letters of pascal english yeah i could have got with the last three letters of my last name
too and then the survivor one world professor is uh max minus the x from x.com so we have karishma karishma
edna ma is right there though i know i've used edna ma too many times on this verbal
and then uh pat if you have a one syllable last name yes past week backs all right thank you and
then also very random we go to lydia to Lydia for the L of...
Is that surprising that I went to the Guatemala contestant for the L?
Are you doing the pancake?
Last week, I danced to celebrate my victory.
Now, I don't get to dance.
You get to dance this week.
Yeah, that should be a requirement.
When you win twists, you have to dance.
Yes.
So who do we have, Rob?
Yes, Karishma Patel.
Karishma Patel, congratulations to Karishma on the birth of her daughter.
Two weeks ago at this point.
Erica, as a Ravens fan, did you want to do the Ray Lewis dance to celebrate?
No, I'll leave that up to Gabe.
Okay. All right.
But I will tell you, Jordan, you threw me off because I knew what kind of car Cindy got.
So, you know.
What kind of car?
It was a Torrent.
Yeah, Torrent. But that's a car was a torrent. Yeah, a torrent.
But that's a car. That's not a truck, right?
No, it was a torrent.
I remember.
I remember this for some reason.
I remember stupid things. Sorry.
It was a big part of her story on that season.
So, Cindy and Mindy
could have been a thing on a future
Blood vs. water season.
We would love to see it at some point.
All right.
So Erica, do you have anything you want to promote?
Tell people to check out?
You know, I do a lot of volunteer work outside of my work.
The Hartford County Humane Society, it's local to where I live here in Maryland.
So check it out.
There's a lot of adoptable animals there.
We do a lot of fundraising.
That's my extracurricular.
So shop or no, adopt, don't shop.
Yeah, definitely adopt.
As someone who's had many great rescue dogs, I can co-sign that, Erica.
You can find me a blue sky at Jordan
Kalish, X at Jordan Kalish. That's now part of the verbal rebus for some reason. Instagram,
you could go to my viewing parties is all, I'm all over the place, Rob.
Okay. All right. And speaking of all over the place, I'm about to hit the road again
to go to the hometown of the verbal rebus subject,
Karishma Patel.
That is Houston, Texas.
I'll be back on the road to meet with a bunch of our patrons
and everybody else in attendance on Wednesday night.
So if you're coming out to Houston,
I will see you there.
For everybody else,
make sure you follow everything else we have going on
in our Survivor podcast feed.
Club Condo coming
up tonight. We know
Survivor.com. Take care, everybody. Have a good one.
Bye. To the test Can you cover every show
Post game, no, and I'm the clock, I know
Only one man can really know
So we say
Go, go, process to me, no
You are the best that we know
Just grab your mic and we go wild
We live by a simple creed of No, just grab your mic and we go wild.
We live by a simple creed of If Rob has a podcast, we have a hero.
Rob says to Nino, time to fly.
Whoa.
Or thanks, maybe.
This is your time.
