Hey everybody, what's going on? Raph Cisternino back to talk for another exit interview today.
We're going to talk with the latest player voted out of the game. It's gonna be Kevin who's going to join us
and talk about everything from this very exciting,
very fun, very unsuccessful Vula Tribe here
on the exit interview today.
Then we'll play this week in Survivor History
as another patron stops by to take me on
in the Survivor History Challenge with Jordan Kalish.
We've got a big Thursday coming up here in addition to the exit interview. I'll be talking with Tevin from Survivor History Challenge with Jordan Kalish. We've got a big Thursday coming up here
in addition to the exit interview.
I'll be talking with Tevin from Survivor 46.
Be on the lookout for that.
I'll sit down with him.
Plus this weekend we'll have an old school interview
coming up actually Monday night with Sophie Clark,
just one of the many things you'll hear
when you're subscribed to the podcast
for everything we're doing.
We know Survivor.com where you can also catch last night's
survivor know it all's where I broke it all down with Steven
Fishback. He gave out the fishy award and much more.
So check it out there.
I see that we have Kevin here on the line.
Let's go ahead and talk to Kevin.
Hey Kevin what's going on.
Rob says Nino and Kevin very sad to see you go.
I really I thought that you were going to be somebody who is
going to be a big part of everything that was gonna go on in
Survivor 48 so obviously disappointing for me as a viewer how are you doing I
I'm doing better than watching it last night I mean I think last night was hard
to watch just I mean I know what happened I know like the lead-up to it but
I think just the emotion of having boats red on you and you know, like, and my face, like I, I was, I wasn't like
completely shocked, but I was stunned. Yeah. It's like, Oh, I'm out. Like I got voted out. I got to
leave. What part of what you saw last night was a surprise to you? Um, what was the most surprising
was the, like the guys alliance that we formed.
I really thought was stronger than than what was played.
And I think that's also part of like just my whole survivor journey in five days, like a lot of ups and downs.
Mary losing her vote. And I'm like, OK, I don't really have much options anymore because if it's Mary this round and you know,
our challenge performance was so bad that in my mind
I'm like we're going back to tribal again
Like this is gonna be having at four and if say has our idol and those two guys are locked up with the idol
Like it is me is like a guaranteed me vote
So I think what I was surprised the most was those guys just thinking me as such a strategic
Threat and like dangerous like I was like I'm just here. I have a dislocated shoulder.
I'm not like, I don't even think that I was that great,
but just seeing them so threatened by me, I was like-
Kevin, Kevin, come on now.
That were you not coming up with a plan to blindside say
were you not feeling your villain era, Kevin, come on.
Okay, I'm tricking myself and thank you that I'm like,
I can never be- I'm just a nice guy. Yeah, I'm just a myself and thinking that, I'm like, I can never be a-
I'm just a nice guy.
Yeah, I'm just a nice guy.
I'm here to make a move.
But no, yeah, in that moment, I was like,
it's do or die.
I really felt in that moment, it was do or die
because of the fact of our try makeup rep five right now,
Mary loses her vote.
Those guys think the idol is theirs.
So they're just like, we're going to truck
along. So I'm like, wait, hold on. I don't want to have a conversation with you guys
at, you know, once Mary goes home and me have to be like, so what's the plan? Say he has
her idol. She'll just dangle it in front of you guys. You guys are not voting each other
out because you guys have a camaraderie. So like, is it me? Like just tell me. So I don't
want to wait two days to get voted out. I wanted to make a move now to see if I could change it.
Yeah. How big of a factor was it that you went to go play in the fight for supplies challenge and that they formed that Alliance while you were there?
Did you really feel like that? Hey, I'm four out of four here.
Yes. No to all people.
49, 50, 51, every player going on that journey and then going to tribal first is an absolute
nightmare because of the fact is like I came back and I actually thought everyone was going
to vote me out.
Like they're like, Oh, he dislocated his shoulder.
I mean, it wasn't shown on the air, but full dislocation on my shoulder.
I blacked out.
They had to stick a kazoo in me to like get me back to life.
Um, a kazoo.
Yeah.
Like a medic.
Cause I remember I was screaming.
I was just like,
how my arm, my arm, and they were just like, like, just, and actually like, calm me down.
I don't know what it was a medical kazoo. I don't know. It just like helped me. Um, but I did that
challenge. Um, also I didn't volunteer for that challenge. I thought I was going to rest on the
beach and just rest my arm. And they were like, you're, you're going. So I did the challenge.
I come back and my thought is like, they're all five of them are like, you guys, he's like, you're going. So I did the challenge. I come back and my thought is like, they're all,
five of them are like, you guys, he's injured.
He's a liability.
Like, let's just all lie to him and tell him like,
you're great, you're amazing.
But like kick him out.
So the moment people were pitching alliances to me,
I was like, great.
I will take any alliance right now because I have zero.
And when I heard like, oh, me, Justin,
I was saying, he told me, me, Justin, said, like, I want to talk to you. I heard like, Oh, me Justin, as they told me me, Justin
said, like, want to talk to you. I was like, Oh, these three aren't like these three formed
each other because they found each other. I got picked up as the golden retriever, like
wandering around coming back from the boat. So I knew I was in the bottom of the floor.
So like it showed in the first episode that I was like, you know, like on the top of it,
but no, I was on the bottom of that floor lines very easily.
Okay. So based off of what you saw from the episode last night,
were you more surprised by Justin or Cedric
in how they both ended up turning against you?
I mean, I'm not surprised by either of them.
Like, I think what you see from them in the episode is kind
of how I also saw them on them like they're kind of like there they're nice
they're cautious they're very methodical like they don't say a lot to throw out
ideas they're very like receptive to hearing stuff so like I think like what
I saw was like okay Se and I are more of the like hey here's a plan we're doing
this like this is how it's gonna work. We're doing this. Like, this is how
it's going to work. So like, I think having two of us was like, okay, who can kind of
get control of these two guys so that maybe we can work together in a line. So I think
like by say being such a powerful person with an idol to me, I was like, those guys are
either going to flip on her so they can have an idol or to turn on me.
So they just end up turning on me, which is part of the game.
Kevin, how much of your thinking was that you wanted to keep Mary as opposed to just
thinking about self-preservation for when Mary was gone?
Yeah.
So like this is kind of interesting because I did see Mary as an Alliance member, although
I was not going to ruin my game for Mary, although maybe it kind of sounded like I did see Mary as an Alliance member, although I was not going to ruin my game for Mary,
although maybe it kind of sounded like I did because now I'm here and Mary's still in the
game.
But I was actually more thinking about how do I preserve myself past the next tribal?
And like, maybe it's a, this is definitely the wrong gameplay I had was thinking too
far in advance.
I actually thought of like the next tribal rather than just, I should have just went
on the beach and just cried for eight hours and then that would have been
fine. I wouldn't have said anything. I wouldn't have made a move and just Mary would have
gone home and I would have, you know, had to regroup and think about my strategy then.
But to me, that challenge where we did so poorly with the water and the buoy, like that
challenge, after that challenge, I was like, there is absolutely no way we are winning the next challenge.
Joe, Eva, like David, Kyle, Camilla, they can put two puzzles and two strong people.
They're strong to score against us four.
So I was like, I'm going out at four.
It's actually like almost a guarantee I go out at four.
Okay. So the challenge was not great last night, but something that a lot of folks are talking about, Kevin, your
dive and who knew these survivor fans cared so much about everybody having a perfect dive.
You know what? I am like, what's it called? All press is good press. I was like, you know
what, if I can have a dive around the world, that's fine for me. Like, at least it's kind
of memorable. But the reason I did that is because like, looking back, I was like, I knew I did that.
I didn't know how bad it looks. So like, yeah, it was definitely like, it looked really bad.
But when I dive, when I dove in first with Cedric, I dove in like with feet first. And
when I dove in the water impact actually like pop my shoulder back out, I popped it back
in and then doing that thing of holding it and falling like a hundred times.
It actually like really strained my shoulder. So when Jeff was like, died back, I was like,
okay, I'm just gonna really hop. But then I was like, no, I'm gonna die. It's cool. And midway,
like right when I jumped, I was like, wait, I have a dislocated shoulder. So that's when I like
changed course and it went to this dolphin like belly flop. I'll live that forever.
I think all my friends will probably put a T-shirt
of that for life and I can just be happy with that.
Iconic, yeah.
All right, Kevin, in the last episode,
it seemed like that you had the opportunity
to potentially vote against Sey with Stephanie and Mary.
Was there any reason why you weren't so excited
to do that at the first vote?
Yes. So if so, Mary and Mary Stephanie, you know, had this plan of voting out
saying I was like, Hey, she has an idol. I actually mentioned multiple times, even
in confessionals, like, Hey, that idol is out there. And I kind of want to get
that out loud. Like, that's too dangerous. It was when Justin and it showed me
Justin being close, but but you know we weren't
that close of a duo. I mean it showed us in the episode being really really close but when I asked
him I said hey what do you think about Se's idol and voting on Se? He was not willing to flip the
vote so that's actually when I realized like when he was not willing that it would be a 3-3 tie and
the first vote I'm not putting myself out there to risk it and change
everything. I could have told Stephanie to vote and she could have easily told
Sam, but like Kevin's gunning for you and look what happens when someone guns for
somebody, they go home.
So it was right when Justin said he wasn't going to do it,
where I realized that we weren't going to have majority and just had to do what I
had to do first round.
In the fight for supplies,
there was that great moment where ultimately
Kyle breaks his jug and then he helps you fill it up.
How did you feel about Kyle during all of that?
Yeah, first I was like, Kyle, don't break my jug
because I win.
So like that was actually like my first,
like when he was like, hey man, I was like, whoa,
like you stand back, like thanks for trying to help
but I got this, I win like, let me do this myself.
I'll take probably two hours doing this.
And they are just so much in pain.
But then, you know, like she's a possible Alliance member at the merge.
Like he's a person that I felt like I, I could develop that connection with.
So to me, it was a wholesome moment.
I really appreciated him in that moment.
He came, you know, it's survivor.
So he's playing a game. I'm playing a game. You can have both like a sentimental moment
and also a game play. So to me, I'm like, Hey, he remembers me as a, as a game player
too. Like I, you know, we have this moment so it could help us. So yeah, I was very happy
that he helped. I was just like, don't break my dark. Like, like, how does that work if
both our cars break? So yeah, he's a great guy.
Kevin, on television, it seems like that say is just everywhere all over the Vula Beach. What was
it like living with say? Well, I will say all of us were everywhere. Like we all of us were crazy.
Like we were, Vula is people call this Yone 2.0, Lulu 2.0, like our tribe, first of all, we're physically like,
you know, I don't have a David or a Joe on my tribe.
In fact, I was the Goliath, which is like very strange
because in all the pre-season press, I was like,
I'm gonna have, you know, David, Joe, Kyle, one of them.
So I'm gonna be eyeing all three of them.
And then when we went to the beach,
I was like, oh, it's David and Goliath part two.
So I think like that concept of,
wow, we're gonna be outgunned on the,
on the Bula tribe itself.
Everyone's mind was like, we're gonna tribal,
we're gonna tribal.
I think that just gets people to be so stir crazy.
I went stir crazy with my arm and not sleeping,
throwing up all the ibuprofen that they gave me for my arm.
Like I just threw it up so much
because I had no food in me.
Like this made me like in three days,
I'm like slowly kind of like being a shell of a man here.
So like that was really, really hard.
So I think just all that with all the tension on tribal
and everyone kind of going at it,
I was like, this is a lot for five days.
Okay, so you were on the balance beam with Cedric
as there was a lot of issues.
It seemed like from the edit that was like all, with all due respect with Cedric as there was a lot of issues, it seemed like from the
edit that was like all with all due respect to Cedric, it was all Cedric was the issue.
Cedric's still in the game and I'm not, so all Cedric.
Well I was wondering that was your shoulder a factor also while you were trying to do
that?
No, like that for sure I understood like this is like it's kind of like I've been Spartan
raised like you know cross like to me it was like, you just got to put pressure, like literally lean into
me.
We both put pressure on and we just walk.
I had Cedric fell back a hundred times.
I don't know.
Like it was, it was so much where I was like, actually, Jeff, can I just like get the two
poles myself and I'll just put on the buoy and I'll just walk by myself.
Maybe that's easier.
So it was a tough challenge.
I, and I just heard swishing and cheering.
I was like, just kill me.
Vote me out already.
What was the issue for Cedric?
Was it the pressure?
Was it the balance?
I honestly to this day, maybe the balance, maybe the pressure, maybe just everything.
Like just Vula is just chaotic in the worst way in every single way.
Which actually was kind of, I was like,
how am I on this tribe?
I was like, I'm so normal and I don't do anything crazy.
And then you just said like, I'm like, you know,
I was concocting all these plans.
So maybe I was like, I'm gonna be just.
The same guy who had the plan of,
I'm gonna go drink all the water.
So I have to pee all the time and I'll go look for the idol.
So yeah, Kevin, come on, you were in the right tribe. Right, right, right. I will say that like one thing
that wasn't shown is that the tribe members, like Cedric Justin, they kept telling me like,
Hey, Kevin, your shoulder, like, how's it going? Like, I really had to play it up that my shoulder
was fine because I was so scared of getting met it back. I was like, it was a reverse. Yeah. And I
just like, there were some times when I literally talked to my tribe and like, I'm just going to go, um, like wash my, and
I would go to the beach and just weep because I was like, this is like not like, I'm not
okay, but I have to be okay. Or my tribesman be like, he sucks. He's the ability to vote
him out. So it was like two games of survivor. It was like the actual game of survivor and
then survivor Kevin versus his arm.
That was another game. Is your arm okay now?
Um, so I, I did five and a half months of PT. I was going to have surgery on my arm because my
rotator cuff is partially torn as well. Like it would, and like I had no way of recovering on the
island. I had no medical, I had no sleep. So no food, no sleep. It took me a long, long time.
I actually feel like I went through a mental, emotional toll
because I couldn't tell anybody about this.
If I told my family or my friends,
they would all have known that, oh, he
doesn't do well on the show because he
has a dislocated shoulder.
So I actually was in just isolation
for a very, very long time.
The physical therapist, I need to give her like a thousand dollars or a million
dollars because she really helped me emotionally.
She was like, yeah, like, well, maybe not a million dollars because, you know,
yeah, I don't know, but, um, like she just helped me a lot and yeah, it was,
it was really hard.
I think looking back when people are like, man, like day five, like, oh, I'm
like, I just feel such a disappointment, but I feel like I had a rollercoaster like every day was 24 hours of just intense.
This.
Yeah.
All right, Kevin, real quick.
Anything else that we need to know about your story that we didn't get to see?
So one, like I said it at the match chat that I really, really saw you'll Kwan as like a
huge inspiration apply. I really, really saw Yul Kwan as like a huge inspiration to apply.
I really wanted this badly. And I think Jeff, when he interviewed me, he's like, I can just
tell like, I just wanted to show myself that I could do it. I want to show my parents that
I could do it. And I think that's one thing that I felt like, honestly, I felt like a big loser
coming back and just being like, what part of this journey did I have to feel proud of? Like I lost every challenge. I got voted out second. I didn't do anything like
spectacular, but I think it just made me realize like when I watched the match, I was like,
yeah, like you'll call on like, what's my inspiration to apply Asian American like,
really, really strategic. And so I feel like it's been a long journey to even feel proud
of myself for even doing this. I tried playing as hard as I could. I did not want to just be a person who just sits
on their hands and just, you know, like, love Stephanie, but like, you know, like, yeah,
like that's not doing anything. I wanted to play as hard as I could and I did. And ultimately,
that's what got me here.
Yeah. Look, Kevin, only one person gets to win and the rest of us have to find some other
meaning in this crazy journey that we're on.
Yeah, yeah, it makes me sad. Like I don't want to feel like emotional because it's like,
yeah, it's like a, it's a good thing, you know, that I made it on the show, like it's so lucky.
But I think like, I feel so disappointed in like, just like how I did. And it's hard to
like overcome that. But just have to remember like it's just a game
and I tried my hardest.
Yeah.
Well, look, Kevin, I understand
and you're part of this crazy family now, so welcome.
I would love to, if you could send me a picture
of that motivational quote behind you,
I'd love to read it.
Yeah, that's the joke.
It says, if you're not, I hope that you're,
I hope that you live a life you're
proud of, and if not, I hope you have the courage to start over again. So that's what I did to apply.
I looked at that quote and I was like, you gotta apply. One chance here. Awesome. Kevin, all right,
you keep in touch and I'll let you run. Take care, buddy. Bye. All right, everybody. That was really
beautiful there with Kevin. And you know, I feel so much for the contestants that they go through so much to get
to the point where they get to go to Fiji and sometimes it just it doesn't work out and I
totally like can relate where my experience in Survivor All-Stars is just like what what I do and
and there is like such a feeling of you know failure and I let everybody down. And so I always empathize with the contestants
when they verbalize going through all that.
And so I hope Kevin is doing great.
I look forward to getting to hear more
from Kevin in the future.
And I hope we can find some ways to keep him involved
in this crazy Survivor world.
We have Jordan Kalish coming up right after this
as we look back to Survivor history
in another week of Twitch
when we come back right after this.
All right, we're back for this week in Survivor history.
Back with the man who thinks that the casuals
shouldn't get a vote for Survivor 50.
It's Jordan Kalish.
Yes. And not just me, Rob.
You were speaking to the great Zach
Wurttemberger last week, and he totally agreed, totally unprompted.
It was like, you know what they should do?
They should gatekeep the vote.
They should make the super fan vote count more.
So it's not just me, Rob.
It's also at least one survivor contestant.
Survivor 50, the hands of certain fans.
The hands of certain and Zach Hortonberger might be one of the Survivor 50 contestants.
You never know. You never know. OK.
All right. One of the contestants here on Twitch today, of course,
I am taking on the patrons of Rob as a podcast.
Survivor is better when you're part of a tribe.
And this is one of the folks you'll meet.
It's Rainer, Rainer, how are you?
Rob, I am, I've seen better days.
Yes, you're a little under the weather playing hurt.
This could be like your Michael Jordan flu game.
This, I was literally thinking the exact same thing today.
My friends have said it about my activities today.
This is my moment. I'm ready, I'm kicking your ass.
We're getting you.
Like Boston Rob in Heroes vs. Villains
when he came down with the Samoan flu,
fought through it, took the villains to victory.
Josh and I just talked about it
on our Heroes vs. Villains rewatch on the Patreon feed.
Scam's getting the bed of me.
Just getting a little crybabyitis.
Yeah, okay. All right. Rainer, what's the cure for crybabyitis. Yeah. Okay.
All right.
Rainer, what's the cure for crybabyitis?
I think you just gotta toughen up a little bit, you know.
I think he had it a couple of weeks with Russell.
I think that takes away.
It's only a couple of days.
Like day four.
That's true.
Yeah.
All right.
So of course that we're gonna answer some trivia questions already
You want to tell the listeners a little bit about yourself?
Yeah, absolutely. So I'm 25. I'm in medical school
I just wrapped up my third year and when people tell you that medical school is hard
They're telling you because the third year that these are the days where you're in there for like 12 hours 10 hours
You're doing things that you really don't give a crap about
But you kind of have to do it right you have to do it 12 hours, 10 hours, you're doing things that you really don't give a crap about.
But you kind of have to do it, right?
You have to do it.
It's like everybody goes through it.
Is medical school four years?
Yes, yes.
The fourth year is the glory, the glory days.
Oh, that's easy.
You get like senioritis.
It's like you get the coast.
Oh my gosh.
Yes, absolutely.
Okay, third year is tough.
Yeah, third year.
I would not recommend that.
I'm my worst enemies.
Okay.
Wow. All right. Well, Rainer, thank you for taking some time away from doing important
things to come here and talk about old Survivor seasons with us. And so Jordan, Kayla, she's
going to have six categories for us. Jordan, what seasons are we talking about today?
All right. So I am taking you to Survivor Borneo all the way back to 2001, 25 years
ago. We have the great return of Survivor Guatemala is all the way back to 2001, 25 years ago.
We have the great return of Survivor Guatemala
is back on the quiz.
Oh boy, we back.
We back, baby.
We have Survivor Token Jeans.
We have David versus Goliath.
We have 43 and 47.
Okay.
All right, Rainer, you are the guest
and you get to pick which category you're going to first.
Yeah, absolutely. So a little insight into me, I came in here with a plan, a strategy. I'm well
aware of my weaknesses. I was gonna study. I ended up not doing that because I felt like crap. So
we're coming in with the confidence that only a young man in America can provide.
Okay. Is there all questions about episode twos in Survivor History? So we're coming in with the confidence that only a young man in America can provide.
Is there a question about episode twos in Survivor history? Episode twos in Survivor history.
I'm going to go 47.
47. So we're going... Did I write 47? You know what I meant? It's actually 45.
That's a great start.
Yes. It's 43. I have a 47 question that I asked.
I didn't like the question.
So I will give you the chance to pick a different one
if you don't want to go to 45.
Oh, 45.
Actually, that's fine with me.
I'll do 45.
Oh, wait, you know what?
It's actually 46.
Oh my god.
Jordan. Jordan. Clip this on social media. Wait, you know what? It's actually 46
Tweet this
So, okay, so you want 40 46 47 or 45 47 or 45, it's up to you. I'll give you one of 8,000. I should double check. The NAMI tribe, that's 46, right?
Yes.
Yes.
That's 40.
Is that the question?
Yeah, this question is going to be concerning the NAMI tribe. Who was the first player from
the NAMI tribe to find a beware advantage?
I will not give you the multiple choice unless you want it.
For two points, you have to answer
without the multiple choice.
If you ask for multiple choice, I will give it to you,
but it'll only be worth one point.
So the problem I'm running into is I see his face,
but I do not remember his name.
Was it Shoulder, the guy who hurt his shoulder?
The medical student goes right to the injury.
Ryan Shoulders was season seven.
Not 45, 46, 47.
My steel trap is failing me.
Now I'm gonna go, I'm gonna play it safe here.
We're early.
Let's go with the multiple choice.
When I see the multiple choice.
Was it A, Hunter, B, Randin, C, Soda, D, Venus?
Randin. It was, Venus. Randon.
It was random.
Randon, unfortunately was medivac with the beware advantage.
So he never, never even got to go to tribal and lose his vote.
He never got to actually find the idol.
So random injury, he like lost the,
like he slept wrong on the bamboo.
Yeah. I think it was like some concerns
about nerve entrapment or something.
Oh my God.
It's just, you know, I'm gonna stump right here.
Shannon Guss has been a big proponent of,
put the players back in for this exact reason.
The guy went home and he didn't really have anything wrong.
Yeah, but I think it took a while
for him to get the sensation back,
from what I understand. That's true.
Yeah. That's true.
Okay.
Didn't YamYam or somebody else had it in that,
in the Christian Hubki challenge. Mm-hmm
They also had never tried man. I remember yeah, okay. I'll take your word for it. All right
so
Here we go
Jordan yes, it's my turn. It is I'm gonna go to give me
Hmm I go to Borneo Borneo.
Let me just make sure the question is actually from
survivor Borneo.
Yeah, it is.
Yeah, Jervis played in Borneo.
I know he played in blood versus water.
OK, good.
Jervis has lost two gross food eating challenges
in his survivor career due to his lack of grub eating
ability. The second time came in the final round of a blood versus water immunity challenge
when he lost to Monica Culpepper.
The first time famously came in a Borneo immunity challenge in which he was
defeated in the tiebreaker by which taggy player.
I believe it was the infamous Stacey Stillman.
Stacey Stillman is correct.
So Rob, you take the two to one lead because you didn't need the multiple
choice. That is correct.
I'm a little mean in the question to Jervis. Jervis is able to eat the grubs.
He just doesn't eat them as fast as certain other players like Monica and Stacey.
But Rob, you're off to a fast start here.
Raynor, it is your question.
Let's go to David versus Goliath.
David versus Goliath. OK.
Jessica Pete became the second player out of the game,
but the first voted out of the season.
And you need to give me the total vote tally.
So I need the tough question.
I need the amount of votes she received and the number of votes.
The one other voted for player received at that tribal
So I am telling you it is a tribal council in which only two people receive votes. You have to give me the total vote tally
So basically it's two numbers. How many did she receive? How many did the second highest voted person receive?
Boy, I'm really stepping on all the landmines right now
Okay, so I think it was her and
B is that I don't know if I said her name right but the girl who hurt her knee. I think they voted together
So it's two votes
Elsewhere I got to figure out who they voted for
And that means there were nine people in the tribe at that time. So she received seven. So I know that she got seven
Jessica Pete. And then you don't have,
you do not have to give me the name of the other person if you can, if you want
to, but you don't, you don't have to give me the two players to were voted for.
It's just the number of votes that Jessica received and then whoever the second
person is received.
Well, I would flaunt my style here, but I'll just, I'll,
I'll just play it straight up. So seven to two
Seven to two Rainer is incorrect. So oh you do get to steal here
You do not get the multiple choice options though because Rainer didn't get them. Hmm
Okay
So
I'm just trying to think of who the other David is that I am forgetting here.
And so, okay.
I think there's another, and then, okay.
So I believe, I'm going to say that it was vote of five to four.
And do I need to say the person that got the votes
that got the four?
You can, but you don't need to for the answer.
Okay, I believe it was Lear-sa.
Five to four against Lear-sa.
So five to four against Lear-sa.
That is actually totally correct.
So Rob, you do steal one point there.
You have a three to one lead.
This was an episode that we were all in the room for.
Yes, that's why I remember, because I remember
it was a tight vote.
I remember being there.
I believe we were at the SVA theater,
and it was very tense in the room
as they were reading the votes.
So I do remember it being a five to four vote in terms
of like that last vote.
So this, and this was very very interesting where Mason Dixon,
Christian and Nick were the swing votes.
Very rare of us to do a live show for episode two.
Yeah, it was very, very early on early in the season.
Yeah.
And it was the first, it was the first person voted out.
So we didn't really have much to go on strategically going, going into that episode.
So it was fun being in the room together for that. Uh,
what is not fun for Rainer is that you were in a little bit of a hole now.
Rob has a three to one lead and, uh, it is Rob's question. So Rob,
what is the next season that we're going to?
Okay. So, um, I'm going to go to the survivor 43.
All right. 43 getting rid of the last new era season.
The second episode of season 43 was entitled
Lovable Kermudgeon, referring to which contestant?
That was the great Owen Knight.
Owen Knight, who has competed on Twitch,
is the correct answer.
Rob, you have five points.
Oh, and he will be on the Q and A this week.
Yes. So listen for Owen.
Yes, okay, I'm gonna be headed to South by Southwest this weekend, and so Owen Knight will be on the Q&A this week. So listen for Owen. Yes. Okay. I'm going to be headed to South
by Southwest this weekend. And so Owen Knight will be filling in for me on the patron Q&A on
Friday afternoon. So patrons be on the lookout for that. Is that Austin? Yes. Is that Austin,
Texas? Austin, Texas. No, Austin Cardi. Austin Cardi. You're going to Austin Cardi's house,
Fred. Okay. I can, no joke. I will give you some good recommendations for Austin, some good taco places,
some good breweries. You'll have a good time, Rob.
I promise you. OK.
What do you Mr. Austin?
I've been to Austin for five days of my life, actually six days.
And in those six days, I think I ate at every single taco place.
So I can give you my rankings.
I love Austin's great city. Call me Austin Robb.
Austin Robb. Yeah. Came up on a white Lotus as well.
Rainer, you get the next question. You have some work to do.
You were down by four. Mathematically, I don't know how this is looking for you,
but you have either Guatemala or token jeans to go.
I don't think you could win, but let's see what happens.
Yeah, I think I have fish in the water. You know, it's hilarious because you scream at
your podcast when you're listening to it. You're like, no, idiot. You're answering the wrong thing.
And that's what I'm doing that to myself right now.
You have gotten, I think, the harder questions here on.
I definitely stepped on the landmines. I definitely stepped on the. I'll do season 18.
OK, we're going to token jeans.
Who were the first two players from token jeans to go to exile island?
Ooh.
Each.
Well, it doesn't matter anymore, so let's do multiple choice.
Okay, so the multiple choice we have was it's Brendan and Stephen, Brendan and Taj, Sierra
and Stephen, Sierra and Taj.
I think it was Brendan and Taj.
So Brendan and Taj were both members of the Exile Alliance and they were the first two
to go to Exile Island.
Brendan was sent by the Jalapal tribe.
I would get that wrong.
I would say Sierra.
Oh yeah.
It was, uh, she, she did get to go.
Uh, famously she, uh, she came, she, uh, came back and didn't, didn't, uh, confirm notes
with the other people in the Exile Alliance, but, uh, unfortunately that never, never came
to be on a, on season 18.
Um, Rob, final category, Guatemala.
We're going there again.
My favorite place to go.
Yeah. Lydia Morales was almost the second boot due to the perception that she was
weak in challenges. Who came to her defense and was able to lobby the vote off
of her and instead onto the magician assistant, Morgan McDevitt?
Who led the charge and probably got the fishy. Was it Brian Corden? Brian Corden, a dominant strategic force in the pre-merge
of Survivor Guatemala is correct. Rob, you get two more points and you win the quiz. Love Brian Corden.
Love Brian Corden, great guy.
Seven to three, Rob, you win the quiz.
Congratulations, Raynor, you did get two questions correct.
Unfortunately, Rob did get the steals.
Because I win, then there's no verbal rebus.
There is.
That is the rule, right?
Because you won, there are two verbal rebus.
There's one, there's one verbal rebus. We won, there are two verbal rebus.
There's one verbal rebus.
We get to go to the verbal rebus.
Rob, I would get torn apart by the fan base
if there's no verbal rebus.
And we're going to be stern.
It should only be if I lose with verbal rebus.
Everyone loves it, though, Rob.
You want to punish the fan base?
If I win, Twitch should get to end sooner.
This Twitch will never end.
This is the Evergreen podcast. Hey, when there's no more Survivor,
Rob, that in like after season 92 or whatever, what's the only thing they're going to stop
at 92? They're not even going to get the 100. I feel like at that point, they're probably
going to a hundred. They might say like, you know, we don't know who needs a hundred. It's
just, it's just Survivor 90. We don't have to go to 100. We don't have to end it at a round number. Yeah.
What's the only podcast on RHAP when there's no Survivor? What's the only one that we could do?
We can look past that fast at the old seasons and do some twish, some verbal rebuses. The verbal
rebus might be its own podcast at that point.
Yeah. How funny would that be in Survivor 92? Let's see, Jordan Kalish will be probably what?
So that's a, so in his 60s at that point, right?
Yeah.
Hanging out with Dominic.
You think he'll have taken over at that point? Yeah, with a spry, you know, Dominic will be my age now.
How will you be?
Dead.
Oh my God.
You'll make it, you'll make it.
You don't know that.
You'll be like your eighties.
How old are you?
How old are you?
How old are you now?
Rather than having to do twish.
Lifetime sentence of twish?
Oh my god.
That's your purgatory.
The verbal rebus will be on your grave.
My last words will be sweet relief.
The Rob says to you, you know, verbal rebus.
It won't even say your name.
Alright, let's get to it.
Alright. Okay, we're all alive now.
The verbal rapist, the first and last initials of the first player
to return to the game from Redemption Island.
So the first and last initials of that player who returned from Redemption
Island the first time, plus the season three player who constantly talked
about Mother Africa, plus the season three player who constantly talked about mother Africa, plus Co-Rong player
whose greatest ally was Mark the Chicken, plus the last name of the first ever inhabitant of Ghost
Island, minus Probst has called Rob Sesternino the smartest player to never blank.
Rob Sesternino, the smartest player to never blank. All right. So who was the first player to return to the game from Redemption Island? Rayner. That's hilarious because Rob, I was going to let you.
Okay. Yeah. Matt Elrod. So we have M.E. Who was always yelling about Mother Africa?
Who was always yelling about Mother Africa? T-Bird said this when asked about who voted for Lex in her confessionals.
She says it was blank.
I've thought about doing it.
I feel like I've used that multiple times on the Verve over here.
I definitely have.
We could never use it again then.
I've used the Lee Sarge Masters thing so many times.
What is Sarge's real first name?
I've used that like six times. Okay. Okay. So the Mother Africa in Survivor Africa.
T-Bird was great on the podcast. Even if you already watched the next episode,
you could still listen to T-Bird talk about the first episode.
Listen to T-Bird. I'm in the middle of that podcast right now.
She's great. By the time you're listening to this,
I'm probably done with it. Yeah.
Okay. So who's Mother Africa? Who talked about Mother Africa?
Linda. Linda. It was Linda. Linda Spencer. Yeah, but Linda, you don't need the lady that had the blood in her teeth.
Yep. Yep. Uh, plus the Co-Rong she was from a long Island, right?
Not that I know of. Yeah. Oh, maybe not.
I might be thinking of somebody else. Kim Johnson's from Long Island.
Maybe that's what I'm thinking of the Co-Rong player whose greatest ally was Mark the Chicken.
Hi.
Okay.
Yeah?
It was, yeah, kind of messed up here.
I was supposed to be hi.
Okay.
Okay, I messed up my spelling.
Plus the last name of the first ever inhabitant of Ghost Island.
Derwin.
Derwin.
Minus, Probst is called Rob's sister Nino, the smartest player to never what?
Do a lot of things. Win. He that's yes, okay, so yeah, of course Melinda tighter
Tidor I don't know. I forgot to get either get rid of the tea or
I should have used high probably is the clue is that would have been better. What I mean, what is her name?
Ryder?
No, it's Hyder is H.Y.D.E.R.
H.Y.D.E.R.
OK, it's H.Y.D.E.R.
I forgot I either forgot to get rid of the T. I did this a few days ago.
I forgot to get rid of the T.
Or I should have used high instead of tie.
I don't know what Melinda Hyder, not the Hyder, the Hyder.
Yes.
But the other the tighter. Nobody would know.
But, the Linda titer, nobody remembers her.
We could have played her to play it off, but that's actually her last name.
People would know.
Yeah.
The Shannon Gustas of the world would have called us out on that.
Okay.
All right.
Jordan Kalish, everybody.
Rainer, thank you for playing TWISH against me.
Anything you want people to know or check out?
Man, I got nothing specific, but this has been fun.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one stepping on some landmines.
All right, well, looking forward to talking to you again soon
on the Patreon Q&A when you have some time,
maybe not in your busy third year,
but always appreciate hearing from you.
Rainer, Jordan Kalish, but always appreciate hearing from you, Rayner.
Jordan Kalish, what's coming up for you?
Coming up for me, we got Twitch next week.
We got a at Jordan Kalish on most of these platforms,

I get to make up during the Virgo Reavis.
