Rob Sestrino back with our final regular exit interview of the season because next Thursday
we will have interviews with the final five, but today we have our person who got voted out at the
final six and that is Shaheen and we will talk with him here in just a moment
then Jordan Kalish stops by for this week in Survivor history a season finale
for Twitch as well here today it's gonna be a busy Thursday Charlie Davis is
gonna join me on the podcast so make sure you don't miss that recap I am
dying to ask a bunch of things to Charlie
about what's been going on in this season
and how he may have impacted Survivor 48 so much.
We'll talk to Charlie about that.
Plus my Survivor Know-It-Alls with Stephen Fishback
is up for you to listen to as well.
Really good one with Stephen,
but we have Shaheen on the line.
Let's go ahead and patch him in.
Shaheen, good morning.
Rob Sestrenou here, RHAP.
Look at you.
If you're listening to the podcast,
you're missing so much.
You gotta come see the face too.
Yes.
What is this?
Where is this?
Is this your home?
No, no, no.
I have a buddy of mine who let me borrow his podcast studio,
but thought I'd throw all the stuff up
that I took from the island and the bag.
And of course the thing that I used to search Kyle's bag and yes, I mean, my only complaint is you're not
wearing shorts and you're wearing pants today. I decided, you know what? We can pull them
out. Don't worry. Okay. There's still on their way. They belong in a museum. They do belong
in a museum. Christie's called me and they're looking to do an auction. Okay, well I hope you have a robust insurance policy on those and then let's
just get into some business from yesterday. This was such an interesting
episode and I'm really curious to hear about your perspective on things because
we saw so much of this from the other characters perspectives. Can you take us
through the conversation that you had with Kyle on the reward and talk a little bit about what your
objectives were in that conversation? Yeah, so that conversation with Kyle was
obviously a lot longer than we see and we actually went through every single
person that was out there that was remaining. So we went through why we
would vote for Mitch, why we would vote for we went through why we would vote for Mitch,
why we would vote for Camilla, why we would vote for Eva,
why we would vote for Joe, why we would vote for me,
and why we would vote for Kyle as well.
So we went through every single person
and what the reasons would be to vote for them.
And I wanted to do that with him
because I wanted to show him
why his best move would be Mitch.
To convince him by telling him,
we shouldn't vote for Eva because we can beat Eva at the final tribal council.
We shouldn't vote for this person because,
and you hear me say that on television, right?
We shouldn't vote for this person, we shouldn't vote for that person.
It really should just be Mitch.
I even talked to him about, again, like he and I,
like I'm not voting for you, Kyle,
because if I vote for you, I'm going home next.
If you vote for me, you go home next.
Like that's the rhetoric that I was using with him
to try and convince him, let's stay the course
and vote for Mitch.
And to also give him the opportunity to like get it out
Like what are your ideas? I want to hear your ideas get them out so that I can understand where your brain is at, too
He took that and
Did an excellent job taking a mole hill and making it into a mountain
And then adding on top of that extra mountain top, you know
And then adding on top of that extra mountain top, you know, toppings of fake idols and all the other stuff that he's,
you know, coming up with on his own
with some hair, hair brained ideas.
Yeah, because the part of it that made it feel like that,
maybe I don't think that this is actually
what your idea is to vote out Eva,
because we don't see you trying to put that plan in place
at all when you get back from the challenge. And so can you then take us through your perspective
of when Joe comes to you and you mentioned about how it was like somebody defecated in
his pancakes and they don't even have a fancy song for that, like Chicken and Waffles. There's not even a song for that yet.
But from your perspective, obviously,
I know that you're so tapped into the vibes,
you knew something was off.
What did you think was going on?
To be honest, I thought that the loved one letters
made him pretty emotional.
Like we see a moment out there with Joe and I
where I give him a big hug,
and it was a very powerful moment for him to see that message from his kids to the point where he felt like he could close a chapter on a very complicated thing that he had with his sister. very powerful, very raw, very real emotional moment,
closing that chapter and comes back. And then he talks to his alliance member,
someone that he'd been working with every single day,
had never had more than five hours apart from him
the entire time that I was out there.
And when he comes to me,
I think I did not handle that emotionality
the same way that I had always handled it, which was, I'm pretty careful with people I think I did not handle that emotionality
the same way that I had always handled it,
which was I'm pretty careful with people
when it comes to their emotionality.
I definitely try to listen,
but I was ready to have the strategic conversation
and he was ready to accuse me of stuff.
And I was confused.
Why are you accusing me of stuff?
We're supposed to be having our strategic conversation
We're really close and you don't really see that in the app and in the edit as much as it was and so that
Confusion of somebody that is so close to me got in my head And so I have this reaction of like what's going on and I attribute it to oh
That's I'm such an idiot.
The sister thing, you just did the sister thing,
not Kyle and Camilla got their hooks into you.
And that's why I didn't push maybe as hard as I should have.
But I was also worried that if I pushed any harder,
I was gonna get the emotional reaction from Joe,
because he is an emotional guy.
I say it when I chose him for reward.
It's one of the beautiful things about Joe.
And so didn't know how to navigate that, add on top of that, that I'm not sleeping super
well, not super well fed, even though we just had reward, that thing runs through you.
It literally ran through me immediately.
And you have me not making it through this perfect storm
that Kyle and Camilla sent the alliance of three into.
And I'm the guy who ends up getting booted,
walking the plank.
We saw in the episode Mitch and Camilla
are talking about your reward picks.
And they're saying that these were bad picks
that you ended up making, of course, they would probably prefer they got picked.
People that didn't get picked for reward.
Yeah. But considering how everything went, do you think back to, you know what?
I should have gone with different people.
I mean, look, you know, if you're, if you're playing the game from my perspective
and you, and you genuinely think in that moment, I I can I can beat Joe at final tribal
I can be Kyle I can be any of these people at final tribal then the move
I think is to choose the people that
You think you need to keep the closest to you and make them feel close to you
Now on top of that you have you to, you know, when you're out there, there is that like
four or five days leading up to either loved ones or love letters or whatever.
There's a conversation that happens around campus to who's going to choose who for what
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
It was very clear to everybody that I was going to choose Joe before that even happened,
especially because he was the only person that was left
that had kids. And you want to see your children's drawings on national television. You want
your kids to see their drawings on national television. And I you know, Monday morning
quarterbacking is is what it is. I think that I made the right decision given where I was in the game at the moment
I don't think it really made Mitch and Camilla mad enough to be like now we're gonna vote him out
I don't think that was the reason I got voted out
I think the reason I got voted out is because I was good at the game and a dangerous player and Kyle Camilla saw that
And they wanted to get rid of me so
And not for nothing I think everybody else would have chosen Joe too
Like I think most the people that were still out there also are choosing Joe
So the narrative that like oh you fed him and that's why you won the challenge
It's like give me a break dude. You're choosing the guy that had the only person here that has kids you're choosing him
Okay
You talked about a couple times that you felt like that you were playing a better game than Joe was your ultimate game plan of I'm going to get to the final three and I'm going
to make my case. You are, you know, you coach debate that you are going to just out debate
Joe at the final travel council. That was the plan or was there something different?
Yeah. I mean, I write award-winning speeches every single year. I've been writing award winning speeches, debates every single year.
I am very blessed that I have an amazing speech and debate team and this is where my brain
is constantly.
On top of that, if you're looking at the jury and who's on the jury, I think I have a pretty
good shot with every single person on the jury.
I might not have a great shot with America's vote because look at Joe. I mean, he's so handsome, amazing pecs, immaculate.
They glisten like you wouldn't believe and he's the firefighter. He's the father. And
so he that he might win America's vote. But I think that I could win the jury's vote over
anybody that was left, not just Joe, Kyle, Camilla, Mitch, Eva, it doesn't matter, because they perceived me as the brain.
Because the way that I tried to run the game was Socratic consensus building, getting people,
even the people on the bottom to feel like they were part of every single vote.
You hear Mitch say at six, he felt like he could still work with me, even though he was on the bottom the
entire time. I managed that relationship to make him feel like he could still work with me.
I don't think that the other people that were out there
had that same ability to work with people that they weren't working with.
And I think that is good gameplay.
I also never said anything about honesty
and integrity out there.
You cannot find a clip of me saying honesty and integrity.
And that is on purpose.
I know that the flip that happens from honesty
and integrity to the other side is a lot of anger,
especially in a player like David
where that is his ethos out there.
And so I think that I had a really good opportunity to win the game.
And at the end of the day, like that was confirmed when I got to Ponderosa.
It's possible they were lying to me.
These are people that play survivor.
But when I got to Ponderosa, I did get the got such an amazing welcome from the people
that were already there.
It made everything so much easier.
And they said, we were going to give you a million dollars.
We were absolutely ready to write a check for you.
So I don't think that I was wrong.
I think that the people that are remaining have all played incredible games.
Like they really played different and they can all articulate different things.
And so, you know, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
But I think that at the time, I was the best player
that was remaining in the game, and you take out that person.
So a Betrallet is rarely fun, okay?
I know.
But when it happens to you...
I'm killing it, Rob.
Yeah.
Are you... Is there one person in your Alliance, your strong for Alliance, is
there one person that it stings more from out of the people who did do that? But rally?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, of course. It hurts. It hurts the most from Joe, for sure. That, you
know, Joe and I were very, very close out there. We spent every day together. We had,
you know, incredibly deep conversations that were meaningful, that were about things that
I haven't talked to, you know, the closest people to in my life about this stuff. My
brother, you know, nothing and still, you know, to get that betrothed on me
is certainly, certainly pretty hard.
Kyle and I, Kyle and I too,
Kyle was, it was pretty tough to take from Kyle,
especially even watching it back,
knowing that Kyle was gunning for me for so, so long.
And I was really just trying to work with him for so, so long.
I knew that he was a threat
and I knew that maybe one day I would have to go at him, but
We had a connection about our older brothers
Kyle has an older brother that I basically also have just an amazing older brother who is such a huge part of our lives
but
Yeah, the Joe the Joe thing stings for sure. Yeah, no doubt
How about Kyle and Camilla when you watch the episodes back?
Did you see things that you were very surprised to see not knowing that you when you were out there?
Yeah, certainly was surprised to see how much effort they put into getting rid of me. I am
Thrilled by that in a way right like that's what you want. You don't want it to be easy to get rid of you but
Did not realize that I had registered for them
as much as I had registered for them as a threat
or whatever reason they wanted to get rid of me.
They thought I was sneaky or whatever the rhetoric is
that they used to get rid of me.
But yeah, I definitely surprised at how much they wanted me
and for how long they wanted me
and how long they were planting seeds to get me.
All of that was surprising to me for sure.
But the way it goes in Survivor, I also knew that people were going to be coming for me.
I knew that this you can't ignore this on a beach, especially when it's the only beard
out there.
It's like the aura is there.
I knew that people would have that suspicion of me.
There's a reason why you don't see me really searching
for idols that much is because I already knew
that the sus would be there,
and I didn't need to increase that sus level.
And so you don't really see any clips of me searching
because I was at camp the vast majority of the time
just trying to play relationships,
just trying to play the game.
And I think you had all these relationships.
I noticed all the times then when the people that were on the bottom and I think you have
the confessional, I think before Sego's home of the people that the the says the the Marys,
the Mitch's, the stars, the people that at different points of the game were sort of
like down and out that you you potentially
Could have done something were you ever tempted to think about making a move with a potential
These pieces that were just
disregarded by the other players
So I think that sometimes
Remember we went out there after watching 46, and a lot of 46 I
thought was making a move just to make a move, just to build a resume.
But if the resume doesn't serve your narrative, then it doesn't make sense.
And I don't know why I would vote out, work with these people on the bottom to vote out
my allies when my allies are
particularly loyal based, right? And on top of that, I felt that I could beat them at the end. I felt that I could out argue them. I felt that I could out talk them. And I felt that they did not think that about me.
I felt that they thought I was not as big a threat as they were.
I felt that they had at least a little bit of ego or at least a little bit of delusion
that they could beat me and underestimated me.
So in some ways, it's a perfect storm of my allies being people that I can beat, them
thinking they can't beat me, and everybody else thinking that I should beat them.
So why would I make the move against them?
It doesn't make sense from that perspective. If I have Ken and Hannah and I'm sitting there like Adam,
then I'm good to go. I win a million dollars.
Okay. Shaheen, I wish we had more time, but I know you had a run. So thank you for all
the great answers here today. And hopefully we can connect again soon. Okay.
Thank you, Rob. All this man. This is amazing. I'm obviously a massive R half fan. So thank you so much and quick. Can we get one tribal shout out? Yeah. Oh, what?
C. N. O. Maka. He know what? You know, mouse sucker all day, bro. It'll never leave my brain. Okay.
People are going to do that. Okay. All the best outside the show. Take care. Bye, buddy. All right, everybody.
There you have it.
Shaheen.
Great job by Shaheen to take us through his thinking.
It makes sense that he felt like, OK, I can beat Joe and Eva,
and I'm just going to stay the course.
And unfortunately, that's not always the most exciting way
that we want to see it go down.
But from his perspective, he felt
like that he had a pretty good shot to be able to do that.
Ultimately, Kyle and Camilla get in the way,
and that's what happened last night.
We are gonna be talking about what happened
many nights ago when we play a little this week
in Survivor History.
We come back with Jordan Kalish right after this.
This show is sponsored by BetterHelp.
Hey everybody, Rob here.
Over the years, I've seen the conversation
around mental health shift in a big way.
And for the better, there used to be so much stigma
around therapy, like it was something you only turned to
when things were falling apart.
But now, more people are starting to see therapy
for what it really is, a smart, proactive way to take care of yourself. Still,
I get that it can feel tough to take that first step.
A recent survey showed that 26% of Americans avoid seeking mental health
support because they're afraid of being judged.
That hesitation doesn't just impact individuals.
It affects families, workplaces, and entire communities.
This Mental Health Awareness Month,
let's normalize asking for help
and encourage the people around us
to prioritize their wellbeing.
The world works better when people feel better.
Whether you're dealing with stress,
navigating through a tough transition,
or just trying to become the best version of yourself,
therapy can help you build tools
like setting boundaries, improving communication, and learning to manage challenges
in a healthier way.
BetterHelp had over 10 years of experience
connecting people with the right therapists
from a diverse network of over 30,000 plus
licensed professionals.
It's all online, which makes therapy affordable
and convenient, and more than 5 million people worldwide
have used it.

back with us, the man who puts it all together for the final time in survivor 48
Jordan Kalish.
How you doing Rob?
This is a, a bittersweet day because I am excited to be here to go over the survivor
finales and the episode 12s that occurred in survivor history.
But I am sad to be leaving you for the off season podcast.
I will drift off into the universe.
See you in September.
Jordan Kalish.
I know. Well, yeah, I, uh See you in September, Jordan and Kalish. I know.
Well, yeah.
The words I hate to say.
Yeah, I'll be back.
But I will go on my little Yatus, and then I'll make sure
that I study.
Full teacher mode.
A summer completely off from work, from Twitch,
from the verbal rebus.
I know.
I'll just hibernate in the summer,
and then I'm back for the fall, baby. Back for the fall. Okay. All right. If Twitch gets renewed, we'll
have to see. It gets renewed. Okay. Somehow it's gotten renewed to this point. So we're
like, we're like, we're like survivor, right? You know, people, there were people in the
dark ages are like, how does this, how does this keep getting renewed? But it happens.
Okay. All right. We'll have the new, the Twitch new era
in a couple of years.
And that'll be a whole different thing.
Oh my god.
All right.
Here with us to take me on and Twitch.
One of my better Twitch seasons, I think.
Here he is.
Is he the final boss?
It's Cal.
Cal, how are you?
I'm doing great.
How are you doing?
Doing wonderful.
OK.
Cal, tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am some guy from Massachusetts, Rhode Island area.
And we met a couple of weeks ago.
We did in Boston.
Yes.
A live show.
And great time.
Yes. Okay.
And this is all coming back to me.
And you are a bit of a survivor history expert yourself
Sure. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I
Hesitate to to call myself an author
But I did put out a book a couple months ago called the ultimate survivor trivia challenge
With no verbal rebuses
No, no, rebuy.
Now what makes your book so ultimate?
I think maybe the number of questions.
OK, I could just go with survive the trigger challenge.
No, I meticulously check the wording after listening to many episodes.
I'm putting that on my notes for next season.
Meticulously check the wording of the questions.
Now, Cal, is it from season one to season what is your book?
Goes up to 45.
Up to 45, okay.
Yeah, it's all like separated by difficulty, so there's some Twitch level stuff, but if you want the easier stuff, that's in there too.
Are you worried Survivor 50 is going to blow up many of the answers in the book
Some of them have already been blown up. So how many votes has bonu gotten in his career?
I'm praying. I'm praying for a bonu return. Mm-hmm. Okay. All right. Where can people get the book?
You can go to Survivor trivia challenge calm. That is the only place that you can get the book
Okay, if I win do I get it for free?
Yeah, we can make that deal.
Does he get a signed copy while you sign it?
If the margin of your win is big enough, then sure.
Sounds good.
Do you have a particular area of expertise, Cal?
I definitely don't.
Were you inspired by Jordan Kalish at all to write this book? Oh, I definitely don't. Yeah.
No, I inspired by Jordan Kalish at all to write this book.
I think I learned some lessons from Jordan.
Oh, OK. That's pretty good.
He is a teacher. He's an educator.
Yeah, he's doing a job.
All right. Look, I'm inspiring the youth and I'm and I'm inspiring Cal.
Cal, they've said that you are a constellation,
so I'm happy that you are here gracing us
with your presence shining your light on to on to tush.
Okay. Yeah. All right. Jordan, what seasons are we talking about today? All right. We
are talking about we have an interesting quiz today. We have survivor Borneo. We have survivor
Samoa and put your seat belts on for the rest of these. We have old era mystery box one, old era mystery box two,
new era mystery box one, new era mystery box two.
This is the almost almost oops, all mystery box, but we do also have Borneo
and Samoa in here. So Cal, as the guest, where do you want to go first?
You know, I was hoping for a mystery box. I wasn't anticipating four. Hey, hey, if you're moving, I got some extra boxes for you after this.
Let's do a new era mystery box two. Okay, going to two first. So this is the new era. You said new era mystery box too. I did.
In certain new era survivor seasons, a challenge advantage was hidden before the final five immunity challenge. But in only one of those cases, the player with the advantage won the challenge.
Who was this player? Okay. I do believe that that was Erica. Erica from Survivor 41 is correct.
Ricard gets voted out in this round.
Cal, you start with two points.
Very good job.
New Era Mystery Box 2 is off the table.
So let me X that one out.
All right. I'm going to take Borneo.
All right. Going to Borneo.
The Survivor Witch Project is famous for Rudy's repeatedly
saying, I don't know know to his camcorder regarding
the trivia questions about Jeff's story. Obviously, Rudy didn't win this challenge, but who did?
Cal, you're acting like you're going to answer the question. I don't think I know this one. Oh, okay. All right. Um, so I don't
have a distinct memory about this other than Rudy. I remember just like falling off my
couch. Like it was the funniest thing I've ever seen when Rudy's every time he said,
I don't know. But I think that we were just at a point when nobody could lose, uh, or
I'm sorry, that the person that couldn't lose any of these challenges was
Kelly Wigglesworth.
Kelly Wigglesworth did win, I believe it was the last four challenges, last four immunity challenges of Survivor Borneo.
And this was one of them.
So Kelly is the right answer.
Rob, you get two points and you have tied up the score.
So we have for you, Cal, we have Samoa and then a bunch of mystery boxes.
Yeah, I'm going to stick with the new era.
All right. So you are a mystery box.
Give me my new era mystery box, Cal.
All right. By the way, are any any of these book worthy so far?
First one's definitely book worthy.
OK, I like it.
So new era mystery box one,
which two players have won the some motion immunity challenge in the new era.
Okay. Two players, one some motion.
Yep. And you need them both for the correct answer.
Yes, I do. Okay. I know one of them.
Oh man.
OK, so we did it in.
I want to say 42 for sure.
I'm going to lock in Romeo.
The other one.
I'm pretty sure that would be 44.
I'm going to say Heidi won that.
So Romeo and Heidi is your answer. I could say that Romeo did win it in 42 and
Heidi won it in 44. So Cal, you get two points.
I think when I start doing the thing where like, I'm like, Oh,
you got part of it. Obviously you got it right.
Because Rob would be able to steal a point.
So I couldn't give that much information. So you are, you are correct though.
Cal, you have a 4-2 lead. Rob the new era mystery boxes are
off the table.
That was messed up. Heidi won some ocean and then she said, you know what? I'm putting
myself into the fire. As you made the fastest fire ever and the jury's like, eh.
Yeah. I mean, look, it's a, it's out without play out last. It's not an out fire duel somebody.
Yeah. But how many times is it, well, you did, it was a, it was a very impressive, Heidi
had a very impressive, uh, at least challenge performance wise had a very impressive, uh,
finale. Uh, so it is a Rob, are you, which are you going to an old era mystery box? Are
you going to Samoa? Oh boy. Um, it's so scary. 40 seasons of Survivor in one mystery box, but I'll do it and I'll say I'll go with
old era mystery box two.
Okay, old era mystery box two.
Survivor Fiji was forced to cancel the Loved Ones challenge due to a coup d'etat in the
country.
Until this occurred, every prior season included
an in-person loved one's visit for at least one player except for one season. Which season
did not have a loved one visit any of the players? So these are pre-Fiji seasons. There
was only one season where there was not a player's loved one on location?
I'm going to say.
It was.
In.
Africa survivor, Africa.
Had a loved ones challenge, but it was a video based loved ones challenge where Lex wins. He had to match the answers with his
loved one. There was nobody on location. So Rob, that is correct. You get two points. So that is a very good job there. I thought
this was, that was going to be one where you would have to think about it for a little bit, but that
is correct. So we're four, four Cal. Are we going to the final mystery box? Are we going to Samoa?
We're absolutely not going to Samoa. Let's do the mystery box. Old era mystery box one.
Only four players in Survivor
history have won the game by exactly
two jury votes over the second place player.
Two of these winners, D and Kenzie, played in the new era.
The other two played preseason 41 and like D and Kenzie,
one back to back seasons.
Who are these two players?
One, these are two back to back seasons.
Samoa's not looking too bad, right?
Yeah.
This is a tough one.
This is a tough question.
You have to think about it.
But there are two players or only two other players besides Dee and Kenzie
who won the game by exactly two jury votes and they played and won back to back
seasons.
won the game by exactly two jury votes and they played and won back to back seasons.
You mean chronologically, these are two back to back seasons.
Chronologically aired back to back. Yes. Oh man.
Difference of two votes.
And I can tell you right now, it's definitely book worthy.
This one won't change. That's the good thing about the, about, about the new era. It now, it's definitely book worthy. This one won't change.
That's a good thing about the new era.
It's locked in.
Oof.
All right.
I'm trying to think of how these juries work.
You could always go to the multiple choice if you need it really can then potentially opening up Rob for the win here
What it hmm I
Don't even know where to go with this one I
Might need to go to the multiple choice. All right, is that your final answer? We're going to the multiple choice
Yeah, okay. We have a Todd Herzog and Parvati Shalo. B. Natalie White and Sandra Diaz Twine.
C. Sophie Clark and Kim Spradlin. D. Sarah Lucina and Ben Driebergen.
Sorry, what was A one more time? Todd Herzog and Parvati Sh Ben. Sarah and Ben is incorrect. So Rob has the ability to steal a point here.
Oh, that's what I would have said also.
Okay.
Yeah.
Boy.
So it was, what were the options again?
It was,
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. also. Okay. Yeah. Um, boy. Um,
so it was, what were the options again? It was,
A is Todd and Parvati B is Natalie and Sandra C is Sophie and Kim.
And they're the two players in the old era who won the game by two votes.
Okay. Um, I, I don't believe it's, uh,
Parvati and Natalie. It's Todd and Parvati, Natalie and Sandra and then Sophie and Kim.
And I think Kim wins by so much.
So I think it's going to be Todd and Parvati.
Todd won by a score of four to two to one over Courtney and Amanda.
So that's two votes. Parvati won the game five to three. So that is two boats.
Rob, you steal the point. So Rob, you have a five to four lead.
This game is not over though, because if you were to get this wrong,
Cal could steal a point. So mathematically, uh, Cal,
you are still in the game. Rob, I would say has the advantage here.
He's going to Samoa.
You have no choice but to go to Samoa.
At the Survivor auction, who won a clue to an idol
that had already been found?
Okay.
I will go with the multiple choice here
because that does not screw me up in any way.
All I need to do is just get the right answer. If you get the right answer, you clench the
the win here. So at the auction, who won a clue to an idol that had already been found? Is it B Russell Hans D Shambaugh.
It's say, say one more time.
Sure. Was it a Dave ball?
B John Fincher C Russell Hans D Shambaugh.
I, in my mind, I think it's, it's between two of these people. I'm going to say John Fincher. So John Fincher was voted out of the game because he figured
out that Russell must have the idol because of this clue. He went to the wall where it
should have been. He had the clue. The idol was not there. He confronts Russell. Russell's
like crap. He tells, he tells John Fincher, I have it. And he's like, wait, we have to vote
out John Fincher now. So I made a mistake. Sometimes you get voted out because Russell
makes a mistake. That is exactly what he said. So Rob, you win by a score of six to four. Cal,
great job on the quiz. These were some tough questions. I think the toughest one is probably
the win by two votes. That was definitely a tough one there.
Yeah. And especially when you go to the multiple choice,
which is tough not to on that question and you get it
wrong, then it opens it up for the steal because the other
person has three choices. But great job. Rob, you end on a
high note here on a very good season for you. I don't know
what your exact record is. This is week 12.
I feel like you've maybe nine and three potentially.
Maybe.
Well, pretty good.
Who's keeping score?
Rob's fact checker probably has the stats on this.
But Cal, we're all winners here on Twitch.
Because for the final time of the season,
we are going to go to the verbal rebus, which
is going to be in your second trivia book when you do seasons
46 on. I know there's going to be in your second trivia book when you, when you do a seasons 46 on,
I know there's going to be a whole chapter about how the verbal fired your
life. Yes. Okay.
Kathy and Eliza didn't seem to know that a contestant with this name actually
existed on their Micronesia cast. Plus,
this player was blindsided at the Vanuatu final seven
minus a rebus classic Sarge's actual first name
Plus the last name of the player who lost the Cook Islands final for fire making tiebreaker
Very famous by fire making time. It's about fire maker the fire making challenge the last name
The last name of the player who lost the Cook Islands final for fire making challenge
So if you're keeping score Sandra's last name
Which I could help you with you tell me a million dollars
I would be here for a week Sandra Oakley is her Oakley is her last name
Minus. Oh good another last name minus Helen from 44 is last name. Minus, oh good, another last name. Minus Helen from 44 is last name,
so a little bit more recent.
OK.
OK.
Plus survivors first merge boot.
And here we're going to, you're going to love these next two
clues.
Minus the first two letters of survivors first jurors name.
So he got voted out right after the first two letters of Pascal's last name, Judge Pascal.
Wait. OK, this is a very convoluted verbal read.
But minus what from Pascal?
The first two letters of his last name.
I had to get there somehow.
It's correct.
It's all correct, I checked.
This is meticulously fixed.
Tell.
Take it out.
I'm going to take it out.
I'm going to take it out.
I'm going to take it out. I'm going to take it out. I'm going to take it out.. I had to get there somehow.
It's correct.
It's all correct.
I checked.
This is meticulously.
Take it away.
Okay, I think we subtracted, added, and then subtracted
the same syllable in the middle.
I believe so, too.
But go ahead.
No, it works.
You'll see it works.
Okay, Kathy and Eliza didn't seem to know that this contestant
existed.
I also don't know this. Is it Melinda Tider? Okay. Okay. Kathy, Kathy and Eliza didn't, didn't seem to know that this contestant existed.
I also don't know this. Is it Melinda tider? No, it's a, it's from Clinton. Tito. That's a good callback. It's Mary, Mary, Mary, who Mary is the right answer. Uh, plus this player was
flying sided in Vanuatu at the final seven. I got nothing. Leanne Le Lee Anne, minus Sarge's first name. This one, we all know it. So, so
minus Lee. So minus Lee. So we have multiple times we're going to minus Lee. We, we minus Lee a lot
on this more, more times ever than any other verbal rebus, by the way. Plus the last name of
the player who lost. I gave you Oakley for the, it's name is Oakley. Minus Helen from 44's last name, which is very similar to you.
Right, again.
So right now we're at Mary Ann Oak.
OK, now.
I think you know where we're going here.
Plus Survivor's First Merge Boot.
OK, so now we have Gretchen.
Gretchen, the minus, the first two letters
of Survivor's First Juror's first name.
Greg, OK.
Greg, so the GR. So we're getting rid of the,
so now we're at Etchen.
Marianne Okechyn.
Okechyn, minus, minus the first two letters
of Pascal's last name, which is.
Eng, okay.
En, so it's right.
It's right, it's kind of eluded, but it's correct.
Who do we have?
We've got Marianne Okech.
Yes, Twitch legend. Two-time Twitch player, Marianne Okech. Okay. Congratulations Maryann Oakett. Yes, Twitch legend, two time Twitch player, Maryann Oakett.
Congratulations, Cal. We got there. We got there on the verbal rebus.
We really got there. I don't know how you could have possibly come.
You still a big advocate for the verbal rebus, Cal?
I am, because it's an improvement on last week's Alexis minus Lex minus is,
which was so impressive. this you really you really
outdid yourself this week. Okay it's the last one I had to go out with a bang baby.
All right. Out with a bang we did. All right Cal of course where can people
check out the book? You can find them on Instagram at Survivor Trivia Challenge,
blue sky at Survivor Trivia and then if you want to pick up a copy of the book
and go to Survivor Trivia Challenge dotcom and you can use promo code TWISH at checkout for $2 off.
And Rob, you don't have to use that promo code.
Oh, yes.
But he went by enough.
He only went by two points.
So is it going to be signed?
Hey, it was good enough for Todd and poverty.
That's very fair.
Yes.
That's actually, that was good foreshadowing for the quiz.
We like to build in foreshadowing here on Twitch.
Yeah, follow me at Jordan Kalish.
You know, I'll be at the Survivor, you know what?
Actually, I won't be at my own Survivor viewing party.
If you're at Bryce and Wen, I'll see you next week.
And, but my, it will still be open at St. Pat's
if you want to go.
And you know what?
I'm off for the summer.
So you could catch me at the beach.
You can catch me at some baseball games.
I mean, if you run into me in person, say hi, but I probably won't hear from you until September. So
it's been real. Okay. All right. It's been real. Thank you so much, Jordan, for another great season
of TWISH. And I will be live with the patrons on Friday afternoon, 3 p.m. Eastern for our patron Q&A so be there for that Rob is a website comm slash patron
