The smartest guys around are about to break it down like they won.
The game a million times.
Really win the game at all?
Survivor No It Alls are here with a scab.
No It All here today.
I'm Rob Sesternerino here in person.
I'm so excited with one of the top filling know it alls here.
It's, of course, from Survivor 42.
And the Traders Canada, season three.
Omer's it here.
Omer, how are you?
We can forget Traders Canada.
You know what?
Forget Traders U.S. sometimes also.
Yeah, thank you for having me.
I'm so happy to be here on a season of Survivor that I feel like is so refreshing.
It's like that pineapple, yeah, that pineapple lemonade I just had at Perry Perry Perry, a local delicacy here.
I feel ready to go refreshed.
Is that a paid endorsement?
No, but Perry Perry, if you need one, you got me.
Okay.
Well, if you're listening to the audio version of this,
Omer and I are here together in person.
We're in Washington, D.C.
The site of later on tonight, we're going to get together
with a big audience to watch this episode.
That live show will get posted on Friday,
so be on the lookout for that.
I will also have an exit interview with a person
who is on my draft team, bummed out,
to see the alleged wedding photographer Jenna.
Yeah, what a bummer.
Well, is it wedding photographer question mark still?
Are we beyond the allegations?
I think we're beyond the allegations.
Maybe not for Devin, but certainly for on the show.
It seemed like that it was not even really brought up today.
So I think it's a settled case here.
But a lot to talk about as we have gone to three tribes,
and we'll talk through all three of the tribes.
You're doing good?
Yeah, I'm doing great. I think that this, do you feel like that, you know, I have to say, I thought that Jenna was going to win the show.
Yeah.
Because I saw, and I, in Stephen Fishback's role, I have to call out those edgutters.
You're all over Jenna this whole time. And that made me think, is there something more here? Is it spoiled?
But isn't that good? Isn't that what we want? Yeah. Yes. You know, you want all the edgic people like, it's this person, it's this person, it's this person.
And it's like, genuine shock. In your face. I was blindsided.
Blindsided. Big blindside. So that's always fun. We're also going to. We're also going to.
to have this week for you a big event coming up on Thursday. The Ramble Battle Royale is happening.
Omer is going to be participating. It's a Survivor style event that is going to be taking place
where we are going to have 10 iconic stars of Big Brother taking on 10 iconic stars of Survivor.
Including some mystery guests.
Mystery guests. Omer, you're not talking to any trash before? No, that's going to be, so people are going to sit this on Wednesday night. You're playing this on Thursday.
Day live on Ramble at 4 p.m.
When you listen to this before tomorrow,
just know that much like Abby Maria,
if you F with me, you're dead.
So...
I wouldn't have with you.
Okay, perfect.
Why don't we just cut me the check now?
All right.
$10,000 to the charity of the winner.
Mm-hmm.
Very exciting.
Okay.
All right, let's talk about what happened here
in this tribal council.
First tribal council after the swap.
And we'll go through all three of the tribes,
but let's start out talking about the new
Savu, which ends up
being ori and Alexis with Dev, Jelly, and Jenna.
And really, this was kind of heads up against Jenna versus Alexis from the jump.
It ends up being Jenna, who is the person who gets voted out.
Tough spot for her, honestly.
I don't think there's much, I can't really see anything that she did that was wrong,
to be honest.
Yeah.
Because the thing is, you could say, oh, you're on the outs and you could team up with the other
two on Jelly and Devin, but Ori was never going to go with that.
Yeah.
So the only option she had was to like immediately take the information Alexis gave her.
And she gave a very compelling argument.
I'm surprised they didn't.
I thought Jenna did a really good job.
She did as good of a job as possible.
And I really, I got duped in the edit because I thought that Alexis was going to be the
person who went home.
And I thought that Jenna was going to have weaseled her way out of another one where
she was on the chopping block in the first episode.
And then, again, I thought that, like, oh, I love this, like, weasel game that she's playing,
where she goes back and runs the information and she keeps saving herself.
So I really was getting into that story.
I can't believe it.
She did it again.
And she's just throwing people under the bus left and right.
And it was being framed to me as the devil you know versus the devil you don't.
And Alexis, I think, is also a very capable.
capable player had been saying, hey, Devin and Jelly, those are the threats, those people we need to
watch out for.
And I kind of thought it was going to be like, hey, she's saying our name now.
Forget it.
She's gone.
But I think the person who ultimately ends up being the person who gets this to go in that
direction, I think is Ori.
Oh, for sure.
Ori definitely.
I feel like in many ways, all five of these players kind of played optimally, which is rare
because we've been so used to.
I'll disagree.
You think that Alexis did it?
I think Alexis did not.
Okay, but okay, here's my perspective on that.
Alexis comes in, she trusts Ori.
Ori's saying that's my girl.
You know, they think they're down in the numbers.
Who's the easiest person to flip over?
You know, Alexis doesn't know about the helicopter alliance.
So she can grab onto Jenna, the outsider,
and she has this information that Dev was craft-talking her.
I think that that's not a bad play.
Right.
I guess, so Alexis doesn't have perfect information.
Yes.
I do wonder if Jenna may have,
perfect information.
Yes.
I wonder, and again, I think it's a little bit of like an elephant in the room of like how much
is known about the helicopter alliance by the other players.
I think that we, I don't know if we have a perfect reading of the first tribal council
where dev and jelly are working to save Alia.
And I've gone back and I've really tried to understand that first tribal council.
From my perspective, it seemed like to me that maybe there was an understanding of
from the tribe saying like, hey, we're not going to write her name down.
And it felt like that to me that there was like, and the tribe understood, okay, you're not
going to write her name down, but we all are.
Yeah, well, you know, last week they could have really used Alia.
I'm sure she's sitting at home being like, I could have been number six.
But I think with, I disagree on that because I think that Devin especially put his feet down
and was like, I'm voting for Jenna, not just because I won't vote for Alia, but I want the
vote to go this way.
Yes.
Like it was very clear that's what he wanted.
He was actively trying to push her out rather than just staying loyal to his
alliance member.
But you had people like Mike and Pat who were not on the same side of that vote.
And it was like, hey, we're all good.
And so it seemed like that it was a very quick, like, hey, we weren't on the same side of
that boat, but we were going to get back together.
We understand.
Which is why I thought Jenna would, you know, because Jenna doesn't necessarily have the
information that Ori is part of that group.
And so from her perspective, I could see.
see her also going to Alexis and Ori and trying to flip on the two, but she decided to try to
salvage tribal unity and bring that together. And I think that was the right move for her. She may not
quite know about Ori and Sharonda also being part of it. But she did like know that, okay, I need to
go, I need to stick with the people that are from my tribe. I need to make this a tribe unity
thing. And she did from the jump. And I wondered, was it a good idea for
Jenna to bring that information that Alexa said like, hey, we got to stick together.
Dev's throwing your name on the bus.
She brought that information back to Dev.
And he just does not want to work with her.
What did she do to him?
What did she do?
I feel like I'm missing something in the story where that she was holding back.
She didn't tell people that she was divorced.
And then she told the story.
She's the wedding photographer.
That's it.
And he's like, I smell a rat.
She's lying.
If he's Pee-B and jelly is jelly, what is Jenna to him?
Like a marmot?
Sour milk.
Yeah.
He does not want that.
He's not going to ever be convinced.
And then I do wonder, like, why he can never get back.
Like, she's bringing him information.
Why, like, she's persona non-grata.
I do wonder if maybe, is she close to Kilby?
Where then it's like, hey, she's Kilby's friend.
We're not even worried about, like,
our tribe versus the other tribe.
We're still fighting the battle from the last episode.
Yes.
I think the context, and Stephen,
you're no-it-all, Stephen Fishbeck,
who just fled the country instead of being here with you right now in Australia,
he said last week,
does it make sense for Lewis and that whole group to turn on the majority
right before a potential swap?
And this is exactly why.
If Jenna had voted with the bigger group,
then perhaps there would have been more trust with Devin this week for him to keep her.
But at the same time, you can't count on that stuff.
They weren't even like offering to her like, hey, Jenna, do you want to vote out?
Kobe.
Well, I feel like there was probably a conversation that happened that we didn't see.
I mean, they all, like, to me it seemed like they thought it was going to be a landslide
or something like that.
And they were surprised when it wasn't.
But I think that having the interesting thing part of last week's vote, and I kind of wish
we'd had another week with the original tribes to let things simmer a bit is it does
kind of encourage, like these constant swaps
encourages passive gameplay a little bit
because now they could have gone in more
unified but they were very fractured.
And I think that Devin just couldn't trust
Jenna from the start and then that didn't
help. But at the same time, I really think
the key piece here was ORI because
he got everything. He got his cake
and he ate it too. Yes.
And he got his lasagna. His lasagna,
yes. So I
want to know from the perspective of Devin
and from Jelly, did they make the right decision
to get rid of Jenner?
instead of Alexis?
I think Jelly for sure, yes, because now she can ingratiate herself a little bit better,
whereas it seemed like Alexis was directly coming for Devin.
And so Devin had, I think it's kind of equal.
Like, I don't think it's one is significantly better than the other.
But from Devin's perspective, Alexis is spilling what he told her to Jenna.
And Jenna's trying to extend an olive branch and make that.
I feel like it would probably be better for him to cut Alexis out.
However, I think it's switching seats on the Titanic a little bit for those two.
I don't think it matters.
I guess my read on it, I think this was worse for Devin and for Germany.
Like how much worse?
I guess, who knows?
Because we really can't tell.
I guess based off of the imperfect information that we have,
the way that I look at it is that on the original Savu, there's a big alliance.
And in particular, it seems like that the women are in power at Sabu,
where Carter even came back and said,
I don't remember if he said
if it was Sharonda and Alexis are running everything
or Sharanda and Lanaya are running out of everything.
But we saw on the vote where Anna went home
that it was Sharanda and Alexis and Linnea
were together and Kristen was with them
and that seemed like that that was a really tight core
over there.
Christian voted with them, Eric voted with them.
So now we're leaving the core
of the opposite alliance in there.
And if anything,
Sharonda is going to have to make a choice at some point.
Right. Sharonda is like, you know,
in Survivor, it's all about options, right?
Yes.
So, Sharonda has the helicopter people,
but also like, hey, I still have Alexis and Kristen
and Linnae, like, okay, well, I might,
like, if anything happens to the helicopter alliance,
I might not, like, maybe I'm not, you know,
all the way to the end with the helicopter alliance.
Maybe there's something,
They don't know that.
We do.
And so, Jenna, I don't know if she has as many options in the game.
She wants to work with them.
It's just that that tribe, that old Toka tribe, is just so fractured.
I feel like that they can't see past the fracture of the past.
And I feel like they're still fighting that.
And so Ori gets, you know, both things.
He gets, okay, keep the helicopter line strong.
But I also keep my ties back to old sob.
strong. So I think for him it's a clear win. Now, if it is the women in charge also, and it's like,
hey, Jelly is by extension now going to eventually be part of that. I can see the case where
for Jelly, maybe it doesn't matter as much, but I do think for Dev, I think this was the wrong
move. I think it's, I agree that in the order, it's like, Ori, this is the best for Ori,
then Jelly. Well, obviously, actually, no, Ori, then Alexis, because Alexis survived. And then
Jelly and then Dev, but I think that in the situation that they were in, their tribe,
Toka was fractured in half. You now have the minority, which is Jelly, Devin, and then they seem
to have like, don't care about Brady and Mike anymore, but they are now looking for like a bigger
power group to latch onto. And so I do think they actually have to prioritize giving Ori what he
wants to some extent because they need, now they're in a position where they need the helicopter
Alliance and the helicopter alliance on the old Savu side, which is Ori and Sharanda, they kind of
also, they're, they have a smaller tribe. They kind of need Devon and Jelly as well. So I feel like
if they all work together for something mutually beneficial, then that's priority over. Whereas
Alexis and Jenna, it's like, you know, it doesn't really matter that much. How much you think it factors
in that Devin went to go to the old Savu last week and made some connections there, had one-on-ones
with people. Do you think that he feels like, hey,
like maybe Alexis is a person that I can keep working with?
I mean, not because she ratted him out right away.
Yeah.
It seems like that radical honesty isn't working so well.
Not working so great.
Yeah.
I want to go back to for Alexis and Jenna.
There was a moment where Alexis says to Jenna,
hey, I need to know you're with me on this phone.
Give me your shot in the dark.
She's like, I already played it.
So, okay, then give me your.
shoes and Jenna doesn't do it.
Okay?
What do you do if you're Jenna in that spot?
Do you give Alexis your shoes?
I think if you're really working with her, you do give the shoes.
But if you're not, which she wasn't, you definitely don't.
And you actually, actually, you know what?
Maybe you don't anyways because it's almost like when you make somebody swear on their loved one and they don't want to do it.
Like just draw a line of like, no, you either trust me or you don't.
And at that point, Jenna is not working with Alexis.
Yeah.
And the thing is the decision is being made not by Alexis.
You know, so whatever Alexis does doesn't even matter.
It's by Dev, and it's more important for her to keep trust with Dev and Jelly.
To me, it's so interesting because ultimately it doesn't matter.
Okay, Dev and Ori and Jelly are going to do what they want.
So they have three.
So I was thinking, okay, what if I give my shoes to Alexis and now she's going to,
and now I got her voting for Jelly at this job council, but it still makes it 3-1-1 as opposed to like enough
votes to swing it over, but I just feel like it's such a tell that you won't, that you won't do
that. And I think back to like in Big Brother, this, like, and it was like D, like, Drew said,
Hey, Dee, will you throw the, for, I said, no, I don't think I'll do that. It's like, okay,
well, now I'm going to vote you out because you wouldn't say that. Like, just like,
to some extent, yes, but then also from her perspective, like, that could backfire as well.
If Alexis goes to, because we saw Alexis go to Ori and be like, we should vote out Devon Jelly.
he was like absolutely not.
And so if that's the case and then you take Jenna's shoes,
like you're still,
she still doesn't have the numbers and is not going to work with you.
Like it really came down to the other people where the swing votes.
And what if she gave the shoes and then Alexis goes and say,
see,
she gave me her shoes.
She's voting you out.
I think what if you do do that,
then Jenna has to go to them first and be like,
she made me give me her shoes.
But then also if you do not have athletic shoes for the rest of the game,
that would be a problem?
Would production let you stay in the game with no,
shoes? Yeah, for they do. But I think
because you have two sets of, at
least I had two sets of shoes. One was like a
shitty pair of non-athletic shoes and then the other
one was athletic shoes that were waterproof.
So if I just have to wear my little like loafers,
like that would suck. Poor Pat had to have no pants. But at the same time
maybe the infection risk is up and she's out of here
after too. Yeah. So
for Alexis, it's hard for me because I think she's a really
good player. But she also
kind of just
like, uh, lucks into that, like, this worked, but I'm having a hard time.
Like, but, but it worked because of like, by nothing she actually did.
I don't know.
I think her relationship with Ori.
Sure.
Is what saved her.
Yes.
Because if Ori didn't care about her or trust her, he would let her go.
As soon as Jelly says, we should vote out Alexis, he'd be like, fine.
But I feel like that none of the moves she made in this episode.
Correct.
Ultimately led to this outcome, which is very favorable for her.
Yeah.
Which, uh, she probably walked away from the tribe council.
like, hey, I'm killing it. I'm doing it.
Look at my power.
Look what I did.
But ultimately,
like it was like all really a farce.
But she wanted to flip on Devin and Jelly and didn't get that accomplished.
But I think this is the example of where,
you know, your relationships matter when it comes to a swap.
The thing is a swap is random.
You see some people get screwed.
Some people don't.
But at the end of the day, if you maximize your relationships before that,
then you are in more likely position to survive something like this.
And I think that the work Alexis put in with Ori before this swap is what saved her.
And yes, all the stuff that she did this episode didn't really help.
But that was still an important piece.
So if this was a regular tribal counts or if Jenna had her shot in the dark, I should say,
I can understand why we had all the subterfuge of we can't let her know.
Jenna is the odd person out.
She's getting voted out four to one.
why did we go to such extent of...
Are the players like, hey, I want it to be exciting for the viewers?
Like, why did we go to all the trouble of blindsiding Jenna in this spot?
She has no shot in the dark.
Are we worried she has the idol?
Jelly has the idol.
Yes, but that thing is nobody knows there knows Jelly has the idol.
So if you're Devin or Ori, you still think Jenna might have the idol.
And then if you're Jelly, you want them to think she could still.
still have the idol because it's like if you know, then why do you know, you know? So I think
they have to do it. Because there's something else that Ori did that I thought was really good.
He framed this at the tribal council where he, back on the Anna vote, he said like, hey, take
the layup. Yeah. Take the layup. He framed this is, this is a three pointer. This is a
half court shot. This is a huge move. Vote out Jenna. No. Big move. Make the big move, guys.
Yeah, this was, I'm not, you know, far be it from us to be the basketball guys.
Yes.
I think this was a, not even a two-pointer.
Is there another thing besides a layup and a one-pointer?
Something in between.
Something in between.
Honestly, this was a layout.
Yeah, I mean, it turned out to be a bit of a layout.
But I think it did take some convincing on his part to make sure that it wasn't going to be alexus.
The three-pointer was taken out Devin or something crazy like that.
That would have been the three-poil, yeah, yeah, because I mean, it would have been,
an impossible shot.
That would have been like a carnival game
where the ball won't actually fit in the hoop.
You could try to do that,
but it will not happen.
Yeah, no, for sure.
I think that that was not.
I like the analogy.
Wasn't the right situation.
Can I ask you an edit question on this?
Is Dev a villain?
Yeah.
I think Dev is,
he's as close to a villain
as we're going to get a new survivor,
but I like it.
Like, I think that Devin is so magnetic
as a personality.
on the show.
But he also is a flawed character to some extent as well.
And that's what makes him the most interesting one.
He's really good on the show.
Really good.
At tribal council, he talks and Jeff is just like, wow.
Jeff is like so enamored when Deb is talking.
So they decided that they were going to kill the chicken.
This was like an awkward moment.
So we're going to have a chicken after the chat.
Like before tribal council, we're going to make dinner.
I think that's a bad idea.
I think, you look, hey, let's, I guess it'll be dark,
but like let's do it tomorrow.
There'll be less people.
Less people.
There's more food.
And so they were like, okay, we're going to kill a chicken.
And I guess the day of four.
And really for dev, it's like, hey, like, we didn't even win these chickens.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we'd kill the chickens.
But that he names the chicken, Jenna.
This is why I said, I think this is a bad sign.
Yeah, not a good sign.
We're going to name the chicken Jenna.
And then it did seem like we were really like lingering on like shots of like bloody hands.
and stuff like this.
This is like feeling like a little bit like, okay.
It's a little Lord of the Flies almost.
I was waiting for them to put the chicken head on a thick.
No.
We didn't have that.
But yeah,
I am intrigued to know where the Devin storyline is going.
Yeah,
I think he's such a fascinating character
because he comes across,
even now they're like,
Devin's such a big player.
It would be such a big thing to vote him out.
He's voted wrong twice now.
You know what I mean?
So it's like,
I think it's just his magnetism and charisma and personality that he seems very fun to be around.
But at the same time, I think that he doesn't, he reminds me a little bit of high.
Okay, Survivor 42, in that he has a lot of excellent skills, super athletic, charming, really good person to be around in terms of like camp life.
But maybe isn't always aware that, you know, other people are doing things behind the scenes.
And so when you are going to spill to a whole.
group of seven that you barely know that Kilby sucks and Jenna is a little snakey snake
and think that that's never going to come back and bite you.
I think that he should take this as a wake-up call, but I think that he is one of the top
three characters of a very stacked season.
I want to look at something else that Deb did in this episode, something else that I thought
was not good.
Okay?
Okay.
Dev has taken it upon himself to be matchmaker.
with Jelly and Ori.
And he says, that is my job.
I'm playing Survivor, but I'm also here to be matchmaker.
Do you think, is it a good idea for Dev to want Jelly and Ori in a showmance?
Well, weren't you a better matchmaker for Rombor?
Yeah, like, I cannot take any credit for them coming together.
I think you're going to say for all of the RHAP couples,
I've been such a great matchmaker.
But I feel like that, hey, like my number one is Jelly.
Do I want my number one to get into Showmance with another person?
He loves love.
He loves love.
But it's like, hey, helicopter alliance is the final four now.
Ori and Jelly earned his showmance.
Like, are you sure about that, Dev?
I mean, he could be third wheeling right out of the game from that.
But, no, I think it's funny, and I think it's funny that he was bad at it.
He was bad at it.
It was very funny in the episode.
She said that he was like giving parents.
Yeah.
But he was a horrible wing person.
I still think he believes he's a good wing person.
He thought so, but it was, yeah, that was not.
But until we see Ori and Jelly have four babies, like Robin Amber, we'll never.
Maybe he is right.
Maybe, I mean, he could, if they get married, he could maybe do the ceremony or at least have his parents do the ceremony.
Jenna can come and take the pictures, maybe.
True.
Well, yeah, we got to see her shot list first.
You got to see her shot in the dark list.
What's the shot list for a blindsided tribal council?
I think the shot list, okay, I think first you got to get,
Jeff, I think this is like a pretty, you know,
I think that it's an easy decision tonight.
Like you got a really, like, you know, like, it's going in one direction.
And then maybe, you do want to, like, in the shot list,
you want to get like a, like, a, but you never know, Jeff.
I mean, this is Survivor.
You do want to like leave the door open to like so the people at home know like, oh, okay.
Yeah, okay.
Well, it sounds like Devin had a pretty good shot list because Jenna was pretty surprised.
But he's a better blindsider, it seems, than Wingman.
But I think the, do you think, do we ship Ori and Jelly?
I think yes.
Ori and Jelly, do we ship them?
Was that a nod over there?
So, yeah, that we're here in the studio.
Yeah.
If I could pull back the curtain.
and that James the Survivor fan is saying,
nodding, yes, she's a big shipping ori and jelly.
Wait, but then if, okay, so if Dev is calling himself peanut butter
and jelly's the jelly, then what is Ori?
If he's the bun, that's kind of, you know,
I guess that's, three's a crowd.
I don't know.
I don't know if he was using it in that.
I'm not going to speculate on that.
I feel like I'll leave that to people.
What do you feel on there?
Margarine?
Marjorin.
Uh, what a, uh, put a peanut butter fluff, like, uh, could we add that?
What the hell is that?
Like, like, marshmallows.
Is that an American thing?
Ugh.
I mean, it's not my go-to.
Okay.
Yeah.
Maybe your kids would know.
It doesn't seem to me, like, um, goat cheese.
Goat cheese?
Goat cheese and peanut butter. Try it.
Yeah.
I don't feel like that this is happening, but I don't know.
Like, uh, in next time on, it seems like that maybe, like, Ori and Jelly are developing
maybe more, maybe they're not a showman's, but maybe they're a better alliance than Jelly
and Dev.
Because it seems like that there are some flaws here.
There's some red flags.
It does seem like Pat was actually closer with Jelly than Jelly was with Dev.
So I think that'll be an interesting thing to watch out because I think much like Kilby said
last week about how Brady's really his number one and Dev just thinks that.
I think that Dev assumes that he is Jelly's number one, but he actually wasn't.
But this was like a happy accident that they got Panceless Pat.
out of the way.
Just thinking about
Dev and Jelly a little bit
in terms of like being
partners in the game,
I think that ideally,
and tell me if you think
in a two-person alliance,
you want one person who's like
a little bit of like
the mad scientist
and the other person who's like
a little bit more of like
looks at the game a little bit more straightforward.
For sure.
And I think that Jelly and Dev both have like
mad scientist energy.
Oh, you think so?
Yeah, I think they both want to have,
they both are thinking
about big ideas.
And I think that Ori is the person
who's a little bit more, hey, like,
straightforward.
Okay, I actually thought that
Jelly was more grounded
and was more...
So I'm going off of just a couple things
that she said in the season so far.
In the first episode,
she was the one who first started talking about
that they were going to vote out Jenna.
And she's like, well,
in the challenge that the men
were kind of underperforming.
And she was like, it seemed like that she was kind of like pitching, like maybe a man should go home first.
Yeah, but Alia took off for her.
And then Alia ended up to, and then she also said that, hey, I would have played my idol for Pat at the last tribal council.
Right.
That's true.
But I think that that's not a bad.
Do you like that call?
I like that call.
Because the thing is, idols are so situational.
11 person tribal council?
Yeah.
I think so.
11 person trial counsel, day what?
Davey did it.
I think of an 11 person tribal council or maybe.
10. But I think that... Post-merge.
Post-merge, yes. But the thing is, you don't know if that's ever going to be useful.
And when you know a situation, you can just do it. I think you do it. You don't know if an idol's ever
going to be useful? Not always, because look at Survivor 46. Everybody went home with one
in their pocket. I guess so. I think I'd rather have the item. Or the extra, they could have
told Devin to use his extra vote. Like, that would have been a good spot to use it in. But
I like, I like the gumption of somebody that's just going to go ham for their ally and
try when you, because again, the next time it's swapped up, you never know. Maybe do you need Pat's
number? And if, are you stuck on a tribe with Kilby? Does he turn on you? Like, I liked it.
I liked it. I like the mad scientist energy there. Yeah. Anything else you want to say about Jenna?
I think that Jenna was a great addition to the show. I thought her confessional about all her
camera stuff was very funny. I think that she provided a good entertainment while she was there.
I'm glad she got to live her dream and play Survivor because she's wanted to do it for so long.
It's kind of a bummer that she got, and this is why I don't like small tribes so early.
It's because there really wasn't anything else I think she could have done or done differently.
Like maybe, like you said, do you give the shoes?
But Alexis wasn't the one making the decision.
So keeping her trust doesn't mean that much.
Yeah.
It's a good point about the small tribes.
I do think that it didn't bother me so much that we went to three tribes here.
You know, typically somebody is going to get swaps screwed.
You got to make sure it's not you somehow.
Something that you can do is win the challenge.
But I did have the thought.
Is it possible?
Did they throw the challenge?
I don't think so.
You don't think so?
I think they were just terrible.
They were just terrible at it?
I mean, you would think that you had pretty like athletic people like on that side.
And then if you, but I'm just saying like, hear me out, if you were going to throw the challenge.
Yeah.
Okay.
How would we make sure we throw the challenge?
Well, let's put Alexis on the puzzle.
let's put Jenna all the way at the end.
And we'll control the throwing of the water.
That would be the best way.
But I would say that if that's what they did,
which I really don't think so,
that's foolish as hell.
And I am one who famously loved when PG and the other girl
through the challenge to try to get out Aaron and James
because that made sense in the situation that they were in.
They're still like, you know,
how many immunity challenges are left before?
If you get rid of your buffer,
then it's just you and your alliance.
And I don't like that.
Yeah, I don't feel strongly.
I'm asking the question.
Is it possible they could have thrown the challenge?
I don't think so.
I feel like that if you're Ori and Jelly and Dev, then it's like, okay, well, none of us are going home.
No matter what.
Okay, we're safe no matter what.
We're also keeping our various allies on the other tribe.
We don't know what could have.
Who could go home?
Oh, you know what they could have done, though?
is I feel like they, if they knew they were voting out Jenna,
I think you make Alexis paranoid enough to play her shot in the dark.
Yeah.
Get it out of the way.
I mean, at the point where we're naming the chicken that we're going to kill Jenna,
like, I feel like it's, I feel like it's possible.
Yeah, all they have to do is tell Ori to tell her she's going home.
She plays her shot in the dark, it's out of the way, you get Jenna out,
and then Alexis is free.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
All right.
Let's talk about some of these other drives.
Yes.
Which one first?
All right.
I'll let you pick.
Let's go with the new one, Dina.
Dina.
Dina, named after my great friend, Dina Bennett.
Yes, iconic.
Is she going to make a return?
It's the open era.
It is spelled D-I-N-A.
Maybe that's her alter ego.
I'm going to see her soon.
In the open era, will we ever have a tribe name that has five letters?
No.
No.
It's four forever.
Four forever.
It's always four.
Maybe three, maybe two occasionally.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
All right.
So this.
is the new red tribe. And this was a throwback to the days of like with the old like anchor
tribe of like, okay, you get the, the, like, it didn't seem like it was the disaster beach.
We didn't get any sort of word about that. But you're a new tribe. Start from scratch. And here
you go. It is Christian, Kilby, Eric, Sharonda, Leanna, and Lewis. Lanaya. You know,
okay, actually, before we get into this, you know what I wanted to see? I wanted there to be
three tribes of five and then two left over people
and then they play a reward challenge
and then they get to pick who they get on their tribe
if they win. That's what I wanted to see.
That's good. I like that. Yeah. And then
if you're the first place tribe and you really
don't want either of them, you can pass to the second.
I kind of wanted them both
to go to exile and then
I get immunity for a whole round.
Yeah, I mean I thought that that would have been funny. You have the
half chopped tree. We're going to figure
out, like to figure that up. I like
that in season 50 where we had the two person
and exiles. I didn't like it there just because that those like Ozzie and Rizzo got immunity from
three tribal councils. Well maybe don't not during a blood moon. Yeah. Don't do it. But but I felt like that
when, uh, you know, Q and coach and Ozzy were there. Yes, that was fine. I did, I did like that.
Okay. In, in this group here, really the story was all about Eric and Kilby, uh, where it's,
the lover boys. So you had, um, Kilby and Louie. And, um, um, you had, um, Killby and Lou.
who were the only people that came over from the other tribe here,
and the other four people were from the original Savu people.
And they felt pretty good.
Okay, we're going to keep Savo strong.
And then Kilby is really telling the hard luck story of his game so far.
You know what?
He really sold it well.
And good for him.
Good for him.
Honestly, because also the things he were saying was, like, kind of verifiable.
Devin was the one, like, soiling his name all over the island.
So you could kind of see it.
And I think that especially this was the right audience.
I don't think that would fall on the ears of everybody well,
but Eric just like laugh that up like a little vampire.
When he turned the story.
I thought it was beautiful.
And you know people on the internet are going to hate this alliance.
They're the match made in hell.
But I love them.
I think they're so funny.
I think that for Kilby, like this is a good partner to have.
Because I think that all of the things that people are saying about Killby,
that next to Eric,
like,
Kilby is less of all of those things.
Yeah.
And it's like, wow, like, you know,
you're like,
this is the right wingman for Kilby.
Yeah, he's basically,
now he's the one that's gonna,
is he gonna be the one
that's in the Devon role
of like, let me Kaijiu in this game?
Yeah, let me,
let me teach you a social game.
Also a crazy thing to say.
That's the thing that's so fun about.
That was.
And why didn't, isn't that in the show?
Why didn't we get that moment in the show?
Agreed. But that's another
side highlight of why Devin is such
a good character because he says the craziest shit
and it's
imperfect but so perfect. But these two
I'm rooting for them. I want to see them go so far together.
But at the same time... What an amazing race team they would be.
Yes, no. The lover boys.
You have to build a season
around the first episode, not a limb.
If that's the case.
They might never get to the pit stop.
And his passport... It really broke Sam.
You non-zero chance, Kilby, or no, no, or Eric is losing his passport.
Or Kilby.
I really can be either one of them.
Who's more likely to lose the passport?
Or get arrested in another country.
But I don't know.
I think that they're fantastic.
I need them to be on, I need them to go all the way.
And I think that I really also like that Sharonda is clocking that this is going to be a problem.
Yeah.
I think Sharonda, 10 toes down, is the strongest player of the season.
so far. Yes. No question.
Yeah. I'm loving watching her. No, she's been
really, really good, and she
is at the center of
like this, like, that's, I think, one of the things that is, like,
interesting in terms of the helicopter.
Like, it's, like, I'm sure
that in place, it's polarizing, right?
Yeah. But I think what is interesting,
and this is the same thing with, like,
why the cookout was interesting on Big Brother, is that, okay,
great, we have this idea where, like,
like I see you and me, let's go, let's do this, okay?
But everybody has their own individual relationships that are important to them.
Yeah.
And so you saw that there was friction in this, just in this vote where Ori is like, no, no, no, no, but this is my person.
Like, okay, we're together, but don't, but not her.
Yeah.
It's like, okay, I guess, like, oh, and it worked out because, but imagine.
They didn't like her that much.
But what if this was like, what if Pat made it through?
And now it's like, okay, now Pat's here.
And now, okay, now push comes to shove.
But that's why I think this aligns works so well, though,
is because you have, within this larger group,
you have the original Toco, which has so many members,
and then that puts Sharanda and Ori on the outs.
And then you have now Devin and Jelly
who are on the outs of that bigger group.
It's so mutually beneficial for them to work together
that this is the situation
where I think that their interests do align.
But I don't feel like Sharonda is on the outs.
I feel like Sharonda is very much on the ins.
She's on the end.
She's on the end.
has all these other connections.
Within her Savu tribe, yes.
So now Sironda is in the best position of all of them.
It's just that Savu has less numbers than Toka.
So like she might need to gravitate towards them.
But now that they're all fractured and splintered,
she gets her pick of the litter.
And now she is in the position.
She's the Kim Spradlin.
She can do whatever she wants.
And I'm excited to see where that goes because I think that she has the most options
and she's good with the most options.
But the question is, is she going to be able to,
I kind of do think she needs to split up Eric and Kilby here.
If she's, you know, it seems like it could be growing.
All right.
So it's Christian.
It is Sharonda, Linnea, Lewis.
Eric and Kilby.
Let's talk about Lewis.
Lewis takes a different approach here.
He's literally dying.
This is like the GC thing.
I'm like, hey, if I'm not around.
Like, can you vote me out if I'm not here?
I mean, he's missing the oversized shirt.
Like, I'm taking a sick day today.
Yeah, he's missing the oversized shirt of GC.
And he did show up to the challenge.
He was at the challenge.
But Lewis does feel like a little bit of like a odd person out here.
He has not made these relationships.
And so I think you're sort of like, okay, well, what's like, are we better or worse off to,
all right, Kilby is like gung-ho about working with us, but he's connecting too much with Eric.
Or you have Lewis who really hasn't made any connection.
here, but is he less dangerous?
I think that's, I think that Lewis at his, like, peak is a dangerous player, but he is so sick.
And I think that that's the hard part.
What happened to Lewis?
I don't know.
You don't think that, like, maybe, like, was there some sort of like, Rob's ghost illness?
Well, listen, you're a medical person.
Is it possible that, like, was, like, he was complaining of having, like, enlarged balls
last week?
Is there, was there some sort of, like, infection maybe?
Yeah.
I mean, perhaps.
I think it did spread from Rob's foot.
Like, he made sure that he was not going to go down without a fight.
You know what?
Like, yeah.
You know, I think that that's where Rob went wrong, where he should have, this is what he should have done.
Testicles.
Yeah.
He would, he would have, like, called Dr. Barry, like, I'm having a problem in my groin.
My testicles are, like, unusually enlarged.
And then, and then, like, first of all, like, you know, Dr. Barry is like, okay, now they can't show that.
And then, like, and nobody could say, like, we didn't.
didn't even see anything.
Like, it's like, I have to take his word for it.
Or it's burning while you're peeing.
Like, come on.
Like, there's so many things she could have done.
Did anybody question when Shane Powers was chafing?
Yeah.
Like, you know, Saris saw the evidence.
She saw the evidence.
God bless Surrey.
But I think that's the hardest thing she ever had to go through.
For a future survivor player, if you're ever going to make up an excuse, like, I think that
if you do it about something they can't show on television.
Yeah.
Do you think that the balance beam was worse or looking at that?
For Surrey.
For Surrey.
I think that, I mean, the balance beam was, like, she, like, changed her trajectory in her life.
Well, maybe also she.
Maybe.
You never know.
Okay.
But for Lewis, we wish a speedy recovery.
The speedy recovery, but I think that he is in a tough spot because he's missing those early days.
And it's just so easy then for everybody to stick together and vote him out.
The only question will be if Kilby becomes more threatening.
And I think that that's going to be a charondah play.
I don't think Christian or Lanaya have shown us that they're going to be the one that did that.
Do you have to blindside Eric there?
For sure.
I mean, now, Chironda did not love Eric from the stars.
She was one of the people that was, like, the most annoyed with Eric when he was doing the improv.
And then it's like, he'll be like, oh, I do improv.
Like, oh, this is bad news, Eric.
But Sharonda did say, but he's bringing me information.
Sure, he's annoying, but I'll keep him around.
For sure.
For sure.
But now at this point where if Eric is no longer becoming a useful party, but I guess if,
if you're in this minority of the old Savu, they had seven, right?
Right.
And the other tribe, they're outnumbered, but they're fractured.
Is there any point in, like, and I think that now they're starting to get close to pretty
perfect information of what happened on the other tribe.
If you're the Savu seven and you have cohesion but less numbers, right?
Do you want to keep Kilby around maybe?
I don't, like, is Lewis more of a nothing to the overall big picture?
I think that you, if you are
Sharonda and Linnea and Christian,
and I think you do vote out Lewis.
Yeah.
Because Lewis can ingratiate himself back to the other group more.
You have now empirical evidence in front of your face
that Devin can't stand Kilby and Kilby can't stand Devin.
They're never going to come back together.
And if you're Sharonda and you have the helicopter alliance
has a parachute behind you,
then you know you have Devin.
It's just, it's really hard because you got to like think so many,
so many steps down the road.
But, okay, if I'm Sharonda, I'm like, okay, well, long term, okay, Devon's with me.
Kilby isn't with me.
Devin, who's my guy, hates Kilby.
I might have a shot on goal here to take out Kilby.
Don't do it for him.
Who's also trying to, and maybe one day, I know Kilby, he talks about how he just had
six people vote against Devon Jelly at the last tribal council.
He could pull Eric over and all of a sudden is Kilby's six with Lewis?
and now if they pulled Eric over,
all of a sudden,
they could have seven.
And so I think that maybe,
if I'm sure,
more so than just the Eric thing,
it's like that,
hey, like that my friend hates this guy.
And also he could be trying to steal,
like, one of my numbers at the bottom.
Yeah, I see what you're saying,
but I feel like in Sharonda's position specifically,
when you have everybody,
you need to try to make the surgical excision
with the least amount of,
When you play from the top.
Yeah.
Yes.
And so I would liken it to like taking out a tumor.
You don't want to like be, you want to take it out as delicately as you can and not damage
any other structures in the surrounding area.
And I think that if you are going to piss off Eric, is that worth it?
Whereas, and do you want to take Devin's shot for him?
You know, Devin's already going to go for killing.
So you think take out Lewis is the moment.
I think for sure take out Lewis because then you preserve your relationship with Eric.
you keep a lightning rod and Kilby
Devon's always going to side with you
over him and it's just
an easier game for you long term
with the minimum most least amount of damage
What's Christian doing?
You know and we saw him a little bit
right when they swapped the tribes like uh oh
visibility spike uh oh yeah no I kind of thought it was his episode
he had like two or three professionals in a row
right when they went to the new tribe
I was like oh I think I know where this is going
They really are trying to balance out
all of the Christian content from last season.
Yes.
They need in that neutral.
Well, if you average season 50
and season 51.
Yeah.
It's a normal player.
The Christians had like the 13th
most confessionals.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Across two seasons.
He's paying for the sins of Dr.
Hibicki.
Right.
Poor thing.
Right.
So that'll be interesting to watch.
Two tribes are going to tribal council
next time.
Do you think they're going together?
I don't think so.
Do you think so?
I would love to see it.
I think at the end of the day, it's a 21-person season.
And that was one of the things I know people were, like,
were so mad about Rhode Island Rock.
But that it's one less wacky episode where Blood Moon or whatever.
Powerbroker, duos, like, you have, there's one last time we have to do that.
Can I give my take on the quit situation?
Please.
I think, I agree with the people out there saying,
if you're going to quit, make it a part of the story and be entertaining.
And then if that happens, whatever.
You know, I'm not one of those people that's like they, you know, should have their soul
rip from them because they quit Survivor.
Like, you know, at the end of the day, I also don't subscribe necessarily to the they took
somebody else's spot because I feel like you have your spot.
It's yours to do what you want with it.
And it's not like it's such a waste to quit.
It's your consequences on him.
I will say that if you are a 40-something New England.
bald man who was in the casting mix
and you didn't get it on the show
you can be as pissed as you
wants. That's going to be Sam in a couple of years.
But if you're, if you are not
his exact archetype,
if you are not like, if you see yourself, oh, okay,
he did take my spot. Did you see his lip syncing
video? I've seen he is a content creator. He's not
he doesn't sync well with the lips.
Yes.
He cannot lip sync for his life.
You know what?
He probably should quit that.
You should that put the mic down?
Yes.
Put the phone down, Rob.
Yes.
But you know who, you know, like you said, who had a quit that was not helping the storyline?
Colton.
Yes.
This gave us so much content.
I am obsessed with it.
And I wish that he had, I wish, I'm glad he did it for us.
He did it for us.
Were you missing Rhode Island Rob tonight?
No, but I mean, he would have delivered if he was on the show.
I mean, I don't know if you know, Rob, but actually, like, all of the other people on this season are super lucky he quit.
Because he would.
He's the main character.
Yeah, he would have been all over this episode.
He did come up in some way where Jeff did mention, okay, that he left the game and there were some reactions to that.
But it set up something that we've never really seen before on Survivor, where Jeff did the tribe.
swap, okay, drop your buffs, and then we had 18 buffs in the bag.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then we let fate determine which tribe only had five.
Did you like that?
I did like that.
I still would have preferred if they were the reward.
Yes, salad.
That was good.
That's inspired.
Yeah, thank you.
But I still like that, and I think it was fun.
And I think it was fun because Alexis was also the last one to draw.
And so she only had two purple buffs at the end of the day.
And Tyson, if Tyson was there, he would have, maybe he would have quit.
because he likes to pick the last one always,
and that wasn't an option.
Yeah.
So Jeff did, like, a pretty long fake-out.
Yeah.
Here.
Was that necessary?
I was like, where is he going with this?
Do you think they could actually tell us a sick story
of 17 people voting at one tribal council?
Well, like, oh, so you're saying it's a merge?
Yeah.
Like, yeah, exactly.
It's like, this foreign concept you've never heard of a merge at 17.
Also, in the future, he said maybe it could, don't do that.
Too many people for one vote, I think.
I think a lot of people do want to see a one world of start the season with everybody on the same beach.
Do you like that?
I think that I personally think that, okay, so I think there are actually three different thoughts on that.
The first is I like that they did that this season before they divided the buffs.
I wish they had gone like a full three days.
But I think that we're also seeing the consequences of how short the game is and how much that actually mattered,
where the helicopter lines is actually a thing.
Did anybody else make a relationship besides the helicopter lines?
Like, what was everybody else doing?
It's in the yada yada, like it didn't matter.
Rhode Island Rob and Eric talked about, hey, we're both from Rhode Island.
The Canadians were Canadian.
Yeah, you just found people you have something in common with.
And it's like, okay, you're my person.
Yeah, but I think the shortened game makes those actually kind of relevant,
whereas if you take this all the way back to almost the single digies.
Yeah.
When we saw it in Fiji, they spent so long in their premurch tribe that those relations,
they made in the first few days didn't even really matter that much.
But I think that the, I think that a one world situation doesn't work that well with newbies.
Yeah.
I think it may be now that we've gone to know them for a few weeks, you could maybe do that.
But I think that if they ever did a returning player season, that is the time to do a one world situation.
You know, just to go back to Jenna for a moment, I think that Jenna is like especially in a bad spot here because she was on the tribe with five.
I think that in the tribes of six, and that's why, you know, these, like, to start at a bigger number and then swap to three tribes of six, it is more interesting because what is not interesting about the new era version of the game is that it's a race to four.
Get your four.
And now, as we'll talk about in, yeah, it's a race to three in a five-person tribe.
But here in these six-person tribes, especially here, the race to four, I think is a little complicated.
It is very complicated because they all have competing interests now that they've been with their groups for a while.
So I agree.
The jump from five to six is tremendously different.
And so that's why I also think, I think 50 suffered a little bit from that because of the Kyle Medevac.
Because they probably were going to have their blood moon in six, three groups of six as well.
But Kyle leaving.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
Made it fives.
And then you have people like Camilla that have no real and Genevieve that have no options and Colby, all three.
Three of them really didn't have any options.
So I think the jump from five to six is huge.
And I do like that if they weren't going to make it a reward, they did it the way they should have.
But yeah, Jenna definitely just didn't have options.
Yeah, I do think that that is, I never thought about that, but it does re-contextualize
that a little bit for me because I do think that, because you're not going to want to do three-three.
So now how do you get to four and you may not have like an easy path to four in these tribes
when you get thrown together right away?
Yeah, for sure.
And so maybe the producers can be extramatic.
But that's also, I think also why, and Dr. Hubicki, who is so heartlessly responsible for this Christian being purpled, he did make a good point that the more relationships you have, the more possible, you know, exponentially increases the dynamics of the tribe.
And I think we really saw that on Toka in the sense that you have really capable and deadly and charismatic and magnetic people like Jelly and Devon and Brady.
And they are, and Pat as well, sound like she was a big threat.
And they, there's just, there's so little time in the 26 day season when they're going
to tribal right away.
And there's so many people to like make feel comfortable that it really gives the people
at the, I think in a six person tribe with Kilby and some of those people, he would have
been dead.
But because there were so many people, they couldn't actually extend their relationships
to all of them.
And that resulted in the cool kids being on the outs, whereas they probably would have
had a stranglehold in a smaller group.
Let's talk about this other tribe that we haven't talked about, Toka, new Toka, and this is with, we see Kristen, who is like on surface, is in trouble here with Maggie, Tannan, Mike, Brady, and Carter.
And this is the group that, again, on paper, five people from the old tribe, this is very bad, but it was five people that went to a very divided tribal council the night before.
And one that mutiny to this tribe.
Ironically, though, after getting blindsided by Kristen.
Yes, which is very fun.
And I, okay, is it, it's not too early to say.
I think we can officially make the declaration that this Carter is the best Carter that's ever been on Survivor.
So far, yes.
Yes.
I think it's without question.
Isn't there only one?
There's only one.
He didn't make it far into the show.
Was he there, though?
Was he there?
Is a good question.
But he was, he did, like, from a longevity perspective.
Yeah, but this Carter's funny as hell.
This Carter is colorful, very much so.
And he's a real farmer.
He's dressing.
Wait, I don't think that you dress up pigs.
That's like the craziest thing I've ever heard.
Yeah, he did talk about with Kristen, you know.
He's tanning a pig?
Are you serious?
So I don't know necessarily about his, you know, pig farmer.
Pig farmer.
It sounds like that he's almost like a pageant dad of like,
that it's not necessarily that he is.
taking pigs like, okay, we're slaughtering pigs.
It sounds like he's like trying to win like best in show.
I honestly would do really well in a pig beauty contest.
Yes, you would shine the pig up.
I'd dress it up.
If I was competing with them.
There's a pig beauty project and you have entered it.
Yeah, and I'm just like disguised.
But I think I could do really, I could excel at that.
But you cannot tan a pig, let's be clear.
Yeah.
That was fucked up.
I never tried.
Yeah, you can't.
But regardless, I think that Carter's, I think, I like what Carter's doing here because he is,
Oh, yeah, it's actually a good point.
That's, wait, I'm now picturing it.
Do you think they have lipstick?
Well, they say you can't put lipstick on a pig.
Well, it's 2026.
I think we can.
Yeah.
But I think, and like nail polish on the hooves.
I mean, I'm so like
Muppet
coated that like I see it like
Miss Piggy, it was very glamorous
Like she's kind of a hot pig
And the interesting thing about Miss Piggy
Is that her hairstyle like changes with the times
Right
It's like in the 70s she has like 70s hair
But she always has like the current haircut
Which I think is really cool
I still think 10 toes down
They should put somebody
Ten Hoops down
Yeah
But they should put Miss
Piggy and or Kermit on the traders have somebody fully be that person in character.
They can win.
They can do it all.
Are they, is it like somebody, I'm in a Kermit costume at the roundtable or is there like a
puppeteer?
No, no, no, you're in the comic.
You are in.
I don't know about that evidence.
I'm not buying that.
Kermit, no.
No, you need to fully dress up.
Like you are in cosplay the whole time and you are a contestant.
you can actually win, but you are playing Miss Piggy.
You have to be in character.
Is it a celebrity in the costume also?
No, they just have to be good at their job.
It's more important that they're good at their job.
Okay.
All right, well, let's workshop that.
Yeah, yeah.
But I think that I like what Carter's doing here
in that he is keeping the relationship open with Kristen.
The thing I don't like about what he's doing is that,
I think especially in the open era of Survivor and the new era,
you really do need to have flexibility
in who you can work with.
What happened when Anna's vote
happened with Anna's vote,
there could be new opportunity moving forward.
Yes, yes.
So I think that this is interesting.
And I think this is something
that we talked about in season 50
of the people who came back to Survivor
were still dealing with like the wounds
from their previous game.
It's funny that in this
like, you know, Tannan gets on Mike
about how, oh, Mike doesn't care who he's with.
He would work with anybody.
Tanan is like
That she is
The
The roast master
Of Mike
She's come alive
Ender of Mike
Like multiple times
Yes
We knew nothing about Tanan
Until the last week
Do we know that
She really
Does not F with Mike
She thinks she's like a
What's he's for the Yankees
Yeah
She's a Mets fan maybe
She's a Mets fan
Oh Tannan
Yeah
She told on herself
So
Tannan really
Mike said to her like, hey, you seem like somebody I would really be one of my best friends back home.
And she's like, yeah, well, you seem like somebody that I would hate their guts back home.
You know what that compilation was giving a little bit of?
What? Was Edge of Extinction.
Yes, Aubrey?
Yes, yes, a little bit.
And it was like, poor Mike is just living his life and they're really clouding on him.
So let me say from the Mike perspective, like, you know, I think that the thing that,
maybe Devin and maybe Carter
both could be like, hey, like, this is, the game
has changed. The tribes have swapped.
Like, okay, yes, Kristen blindsided me
at the first vote I was at.
That's not happening right now.
Right.
Like, maybe there is an opportunity
to work with Kristen moving forward.
Like, no, but she lied to me once,
so she's dead to me.
Right.
And I don't think that the game is going to change.
Is Carter, Abby Marie?
I think that maybe do they have some things in common?
I'm trying to think
Well, he was also supposed to be on Survivor token
Cheats, but he tuned too much about the environment
And Carter was on Survivor Philippines.
Right. Oh, sorry, yeah, Philadelphia. Yeah, yeah, there you go.
All right, perfect.
So, that for Carter, I feel he's really not giving Kristen a chance.
No, I think that's a, I do think that's a mistake.
I like that he's making her think that she has a chance.
Yeah.
I just wish that he actually would give her a chance.
And I'm not saying he should definitely align with her,
but keep the option open.
You know what I mean?
Like, what is Mike doing for your game?
That, or even Brady, like.
Yeah, because I mean that Carter just came out of this tribal council where he ended up blindsiding the group that had Mike and Brody.
And now, again, maybe Carter has doubled back and made up with Brady.
Maybe he's back to being a Brody.
But isn't that like the shoe on the other foot?
Like, are you saying, by him saying,
I can never trust Kristen.
Is he also saying that Mike and Brady should never trust him?
Yeah, because he had, so we saw Carter and Tanan saying like, hey, we should be number
ones.
That's a very interesting relationship.
And that to me, this does feel like a opposites attract type alliance where they could
work well together.
Also, Tanan also talked about Maggie was her number one.
Since when?
Yes.
When did I miss an episode?
When did that happen?
But, okay, so tonight she has Maggie, she has Carter,
but doesn't it seem like if it's a race to four,
isn't Kristen the obvious person to get the four against,
against the Mike Brady Alliance?
For sure, but I think that Carter probably still feels to salvage the relationship.
You like Mike Brady?
Yeah.
Mike Brady?
Yeah.
Are you too young for the Brady bunch?
Yeah.
Or is it only an American thing?
No, no, it's definitely a Canadian thing.
I know.
I can picture all the squares.
Yeah.
He was the dad.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, I don't know.
Has anything come out about him or anything like that?
He had an interesting life.
Okay.
Yeah.
Can you share?
Listen.
Should I Google it after on safe brows or regular brows?
I think so.
It was like, I think every cast member of the Brady Budge had an interesting life.
What's your skeleton in your closet?
Rob Sister Nino?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's explore that here.
It is almost Halloween.
I saw the back of your car.
Yeah.
There was some, there was some rappers there.
Yes
Trying to shade my kids
In my kids being slobs in my car
All right
Mike Brady
Yeah
Did we like Brody
And his reaction to the blind side
No
It was bad right
But I mean that's what he does
I did like that he was like
I thought I was playing a nine
And I'm a three or four
That was very funny
He also said he was, like, why he was so mad.
He said that Kilby, he said that I'm like the little brother playing without the Nintendo
Switch controller plugged in.
And it's like, I hate to break it to you, Brady.
But the Nintendo Switch, you actually can't play with the controller not plugged in.
That's actually one of the features.
Do you think he even knows what an NES is?
Well, I don't know if he knows what an NES is.
He might be too young for that.
Right, right.
But I think that, that's actually, I related that to,
so much because when we were kids, we would play the NES, which was famously plugged in.
You did have to plug in the control.
You had to plug it in, and sometimes you have to blow on the games to make them to work.
But we had too many...
That's a good tribal council analogy.
Jeff, right now, this is kind of like the old NES.
Like, you're trying to play the game and it's not working, so you try anything.
And sometimes you have to take out the cartridge and just...
You should do that into the mic.
Shock the listeners.
at home.
But yeah, so we would always,
there was too many cousins
for the number of controllers,
so we often did have to
give one that was not
plugged in.
To my younger cousin
who's actually picking me up on Friday.
He's the local to D.C.
But what happened to me actually?
I don't want to pile on Alexis
and I feel like that was Alexis this week.
Alexis was like playing the game
and it's like, I'm getting Jenna voted over.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm getting, I'm getting,
I'm getting Devere Jelly voted out.
It's like, okay.
All right, now we're gonna like,
and I made it through the tribal council.
That's so based.
That's actually so true.
But I feel like, I don't know,
I think Brady's like such a fun character for the show.
I love what he's bringing to the table.
I think we're starting to see his personality
and being pushy,
like really affect Maggie.
Okay.
And Maggie's been a star, no?
Maggie has been very fun.
She got the advantage last year.
And how does she get that advantage?
She said, asked for it.
Yes.
And then she's like, I swear I'll vote with you.
Immediately doesn't vote with him.
Doesn't vote with him.
So you played with Jonathan on December 42.
Jonathan and Brady are friends.
How were Jonathan and Brady similar and different?
I think that Brady is a lot more.
I think that Jonathan was much more relaxed in his approach.
You know, he was not going to be trying to lead because he wanted to fall.
He knew he was a big target for who he was.
So he tried to fade into the background while still having his own schemes, which is, you know, he helped get me out.
But that, but Brady is going to go more from the front.
You know, he's going to knock you out.
They're interesting.
They're actually like kind of, like they have similarities, but they're actually pretty different.
They're very different.
Like Brady, I think very much wants to be like, hey, I'm calling the shots.
Brody, like, we're doing things my way.
And I think that Jonathan kind of wants to be like, oh,
I'm not doing it.
Whatever you say, Mr. Romer,
like, that's what you want to do.
I think he's, like, content to, like, try to, like,
he tries to, like, make himself small in a lot of ways.
And I think that Brady tries to make himself as big as possible.
And then he's, like, tries to, like, intimidate people of, like,
listen, Brody, you don't want to make me mad.
And so I think that they're different guys like that.
Very much.
And he and his approach, and to be fair to Brady, like, you know,
you even had Kilby literally saying last.
week like, no, Maggie, you don't know what you're fucking talking about.
He's, I'm his number one.
Damn just thinks that.
So he's playing pretty well, but, you know, obviously he's turning off some people like
Maggie.
I'm curious to see where he is in the Tanan situation because it seems like he's like
she has no pull to do anything, but now she seems to be running it.
Which person do you think?
Brady said that about Tanan last week.
Yeah.
Yeah, Tanan, what do you have the ability to flip this?
but she seems like she's now in the best position possible.
And I'm curious to see where she's going to go.
Yeah.
So, you know, she's set up pretty good here with this group,
but just like in the big picture,
if we, like, pull back from everything.
And we're going to lose two people next week.
If she has Maggie, she has Carter.
She does need to get Kristen.
I think she needs, she needs Kristen.
But also who else?
Lewis is on the other tribe.
Lewis is on the other tribe.
I'm just saying, like, when we get to a merge.
Like longer term.
Like who are her people?
Like it feels like that she's a little bit like outgunned going into a merge.
Right.
But I think, so what do you think her best option is?
Because she seems to be leaning towards Mike.
Mike's part of that dev group, but is it best to, I think she should pull in Kristen.
The thing is about Mike is that where is Mike going?
Like is Mike teaming up with like Linnea and Sharonda?
I think he's going back to jelly.
I guess so.
But are so then Jelly and Dev are going to pull Mike in to go with like being their super, like,
12-person alliance.
Like, like, so Mike, it's like, yeah, he is, like, he has loyalty to no one, but also,
you don't have that many numbers.
Like, like, he might be a person who could work with you in the future.
Well, famously, she is exactly like his friends back home.
But I think that she needs to pull in Kristen and use Kristen's connection.
That's step one.
To Savu.
You know, if you get Kristen, do you get Linnea?
Do you get Eric?
Do you get Christian?
Do you get Saranda?
And Kristen hasn't really been selling that.
Like, hey, I have a lot of friends.
I think she's trying to, like, make herself small.
Like, in that Jonathan, like, hey, I'm just here.
I'm just here to help this team.
I'm like, uh, is in time.
Like, hey, that's them.
She's getting her degree in homeopathic medicine as well.
Yeah.
And I think that maybe, I think the play would be to get rid of, if you could get it out, Brady.
I think that that would be the best possible move.
I agree.
I agree with that.
Because Brady is the person who's not going to work with them at any point.
And Mike, and Mike might.
Let's talk about Kristen because I thought that her.
her and Kilby, I thought it was interesting to go,
the thumb wrestling duo,
that they're in the same position, basically,
where they're sort of like the odd person out,
and they both go on, like, different approaches.
And I thought that Kristen played this particularly well,
really made herself a valuable asset to this new tribe.
I think she's a very disarming person.
But I think the thing is,
I don't think all that stuff that they made us believe
on the show actually matters that much, you know?
Because now that they know all the stuff,
they could just vote her out.
And I still use all of that knowledge.
But I think that she is very disarming.
She's very warm.
And she makes it feel very safe.
And in a group that's fractured, they can pull her in.
Her biggest op is going to be Mr. Pigman.
Mr. Carter.
Carter.
He might want to fry that baby back up.
But I don't know.
Like, I think that if she could get past him, she'll be like.
Yeah.
Did you know all that stuff about the plan?
in Fiji?
No.
Yeah.
But also,
Kristen, I love you.
I don't think
those plants on your foot
made it better.
Yeah, do you think
that they're looking at her
and she did not hold them back
in this challenge?
She actually was good on the puzzle.
But do you think
that any part of them
is saying like,
hey, she's a liability
in the challenge?
I don't think so.
It's too late at this point.
Yeah, numbers are more important.
But I do want to talk about
the end of that challenge.
And so I believe that this is a challenge.
I think we've had it a few times.
Yes, in Survivor Cockney-on.
Yes, yes.
But I like that we are going back further into the Survivor archives for some of these challenges,
where I do think that a lot of the new era challenges were very samey-same.
We have like this.
What's a challenge you really want to see them bring back?
Sumo at C.
The kites.
The kites.
Yeah, perfect.
No, I feel like the smoothie.
The smoothie is always a good one.
Yeah, that'd be fun.
Yeah.
And at the end of the challenge, okay, that they're doing the maze, the new Toka tribe, right?
This is Christian's team, right?
And so they're doing the challenge.
And then at the end, the ball does not fall into the box.
Okay.
Of water.
Like, what's the point?
I'm like, uh-oh, I got to go back.
And Jeff's like, okay, the ball, it did fall out.
But you got it.
But you came out of the nays, so you're good.
Am I a stickler?
Am I a stickler to think, hey, back to one.
Start again.
I agree.
I agree.
That's better TV, and that's what they should ask themselves.
Like, at the very end, whip the ball out.
Like, you've got to let it fall gently into the box.
I totally agree.
But also, it was kind of anticlimatic.
I feel like it should have fallen on like a tile or something and broke it.
Falling on a tile.
Or on a leash day.
Is that one of these situations where it's like a booth review where it's like,
Okay, well, Jeff, you didn't say, at the end of the show, you didn't say,
and then the ball has to fall out into the thing.
And then in the future that they say, and now the ball has to fall into the thing.
I think that's probably more it because they probably never envisioned a scenario where somebody would fucking up like that.
And I feel like they looked at it and we're like, okay, no, no, no, no.
We just said you have to get the ball out.
We didn't say I have to get into the thing.
But I think they should have to go back.
I agree.
100%.
Say it and make them go back.
Yes.
I mean, that would have been some intrigue of their life.
Very much.
Especially because it would come behind.
You're still in this.
Yeah.
You still got a chance.
Yeah, you're really locked into the challenges.
You're a challenge guy now.
I'm a challenge guy now because it's not same-e-same.
Yeah, agreed.
Agreed, totally.
Locked in.
Okay.
What do you think would be the best at the kite challenge?
How would you do with the kite challenge?
I don't remind, so Survivor Marquesis.
Kathy Vavrick O'Brien wins.
I believe it was reward.
For stickers.
And a scuba trip.
Yeah, what was it?
So they had a challenge where they had,
to build a kite.
Yes, but do you know why that happened?
Why?
It's because they were supposed to film in Jordan.
So all the stuff was there.
They had to come up with a janky challenge.
Yeah.
So, and then, so the, so the,
it's the open air,
we could bring back anything. The, the kite
challenge is, is it just a time challenge?
Can you keep your kite in the air?
They had to make the kite. And then they had to get to a certain
distance on the spool.
Okay. So they had to, it had to go all the way up.
Yes. I don't, I've never flown a kite.
It's distance, not time.
Yes. I've never flown a kite.
a kite, though. You think you would be good at it? No, I've never
flown a kite in my life. That's like, that's a very
white thing to do.
It arrives.
It is, like, you can't be like Carson 3D printing
all the puzzles if we, if we go back
to like the like 50 seasons
worth of stuff. Remember when Linda
had to drink the blood? Yes.
Got all over her face.
You would like them to bring that back also? Yeah.
That was a cow's blood. Not a pig's blood.
Yes, exactly. I could drink it.
Should we bring a cow to the life?
like she had lipstick.
Yeah.
You would like to bring, I don't know.
Or a cow or a pig, and we could have a beauty context.
Maybe a parrot.
I think that would be like the extent of like the animals that we could bring.
Sam, can you find a parrot to rent for the evening?
Thank you.
So looking ahead to next week, can we talk a little bit about we had a, next time on Survivor.
Yes.
We're going to have two people are going to, or we're going to, two tribes are going
to travel council, presumably two people are going home.
there was a mention of a blood ring right is that what they called it i think that must be some
weird vampire thing that eric has right that's um is that an advantage is that something that somebody
is trying to fake as an advantage of like hey i hear this advantage it's called the blood ring what would
the blood ring be i feel like it would be there they have a tv and then one of the people they
voted out with long hair comes out of the tv when you okay so it's so it's like
Similar to the ring.
The ring.
It comes out of the well.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
The water bottle.
Exactly.
Yes.
Maybe it's the ghost of Rome because he fell into the well.
Yeah.
So if I'm wearing the blood ring and I get voted out, I get to pick the person who goes home.
Ooh, drag, like the drag.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm safe and I will pick the person who goes home if I'm wearing the blood ring.
But it seems very overpowered and does not seem like a real thing.
I think it's a fake thing.
Yeah.
That's my question.
Do you think this is a real survivor advantage or do you think that this is something that's...
Like, if I had to put my money on one thing, I think it's going to be like Eric pulling out a ring and being like, Kilby, let's cut ourselves.
We're blood brothers.
Right.
Nobody's ever done that.
Well, is that what Brady was trying to do?
Yes.
He was trying to make the bond.
And poor Brady, the ring won't fit over his left now.
Or no, maybe it'll fit better.
Maybe.
Okay.
So let's just go through three tribes.
Okay.
If they go to a tribal council, who's out?
Alexis is out for sure.
Not looking good.
Shot in the dark.
She got the shot in the dark.
She does have a shot in the dark.
But not looking great for Alexis there.
Okay.
The Red Tribe, okay, we talked about possibly, possibly Kilby, but we think Lewis is in trouble.
Okay.
And then on the, probably the most interesting of the three tribes to go to tribal council,
the new Toka.
we said that we think
Tanan and Maggie and Carter
need to pull in Kristen
but Carter doesn't want to do that.
I think Kristen is in trouble
but I totally agree with you
that it should be. I was thinking from the
perspective of Kristen or Mike
but you're right
Brady's right there. That should be what they do
but I don't know if they will.
Okay. All right.
Do you want to give out an award?
There's a hero award.
Steve Fishback is not
is, I think that he,
do we think that Stephen will post on, like, while he's in Australia?
Stephen is on tour in Australia talking about escape for the Australian people.
I'm surprised he went there when there's like a thousand ways to die in Australia.
He's an adventurous person.
Okay.
Did you read Escape?
He loves Adventure.
I have started Escape, actually.
It's the first book I am reading in probably over 15 years.
Wow.
Yeah.
Okay.
So that's an endorsement because I don't read.
Well, my wife is, like, crushing these, like, lady, I guess for men, too, dragon romance novels.
Wait, are the dragons like?
I don't know if the dragons hook up, but it seems like, she seems to be, so she's talking a lot about people in their chambers and.
And also, by that, it would be more like.
Yes.
Cloaca.
Interesting.
Yeah.
And so she asked me, she's like, oh, well,
What books do you read?
I'm like, have you ever heard of a little thing called Escape by Stephen Fishback?
Listen, listen, people are in their chambers, okay?
Is his also a romance book?
There's romance.
There's romance. He doesn't like to talk about.
There's romance in this game.
Yeah, I mean, I literally am like Leah, Michelle, I don't know how to read.
So this is going to be my first book of a long time.
You're in for a treat.
Yeah.
But let's go.
There's a hero.
Yeah, so actually Sam suggested that I give a fish carcass out, but I think we're not going to do that.
but I'm going to give it to actually Ori
because it was a close between Jelly and Ori
but I think that Ori got everything that he wanted
he is coming out on top this week
he deserves the fishy if I was
I mean no not the fishy the hero
is a hero I co-sign
and I would say that as a whole
the MVP of the season strategically right now
is Sharonda yeah Sharonda is in the
best position in the power rankings
who's number two
in the power rankings I would say that
I don't think it's
I want to say
it would be Tanan if not for the fact that she just doesn't have
larger numbers
but I think that even though she hasn't been
on the right side of the votes
I like Jelly's position in the game
Yeah Jelly
Jelly is in a pretty good spot
I'm trying to think of other people I would put in consideration
for the...
I liked Lewis until his
current drive setup is not
good.
Yeah.
I mean, there's only, I will say that there's something in this season that there feels to
me like there are many people that as I'm watching the episode could be going home, right?
I feel like that in the new era, I think you're watching the episode.
And maybe there's two, possibly three people that you feel like, okay, it's either
going to be that person or that person or that person.
I feel like I'm watching the episode.
And it's deep into the episode where the challenge I feel like, oh, like, there's like maybe like seven people.
Like I could squint and see maybe going home in this episode.
Yeah, for sure.
And I really think that that is a product of the large tribe size.
Yeah.
Okay.
So we'll see where we go from here.
We've got so much coming up here.
On Thursday, I will have a exit interview with Jenna.
You seem alarmed.
Oh, no.
I was thinking, I thought you were going to bring up Ramble.
And I was like, let's go.
Let's go.
Yes, on Thursday, we'll have the Ramble Battle Royale,
where we will have 20 Reamble.
reality stars, 10 icons of Big Brother, 10 icons of Survivor.
Who's going to get the advantages if they're all icons?
Yeah, that's such a good question.
And you can watch it live 4 p.m. Eastern on the Ramble app.
Go to survivor.com.
Of course, that that's where everybody was being so hilarious during the episode.
I'm sure the alumni will be posting as well during the Ramble Battle Royale.
I will be your humble host.
Do you think at some point I should be like
talk about like some elaborate twists?
Do you think you should wear a hat?
I'm not going to wear a hat.
You should gaslight us.
But like really like like walk you down
tell like this long story of like
all right so like there's going to be eight tribes.
Then there's going to be four people from each tribe
in a future season.
The money's not really going to charity.
No, the money is going to charity.
charity, $10,000 to charity of the
winner's choice in a Survivor's style
game that's going to be on Ramble.
Then, Sam, what else is coming
up?
And then our live show
in Washington, D.C., where we
will have so many
legends on the panel. Yeah, I know.
I can't wait. And I hope Rheams
there. Well, we'll see.
We're crossing our fingers on that.
That's TBD. She'll be at
the Ramble Battle Royale. That
podcast will be posted on
Friday.
So be on the lookout for that.
Sam probably Francesca, her.
That will listen, you can take any advice you want from Sam.
That's Sam Moore, not Sam Phelan, by the way.
Okay.
Then on Friday, also, I will be doing the patron Q&A.
I think we said we're going to make that 4 p.m.
4 p.m. on Friday.
I got to drive home from Washington, D.C., plus that can I, Drew Bus.
Drew Bisseel will also be on the podcast.
Oh, very good guess.
Yeah.
We're a jeopardy because he's really good.
He has a new book that is coming out about trivia,
so that's another book you could read.
Not as much romance, I believe, in the new Drew Bacill book.
I don't think so.
Did I ever tell, I shouldn't say this on the podcast, whatever.
You know what?
I'm going to take your word for it because the last time you said that,
I should have listened.
Okay, all right, Omer, what else is coming up for you?
Rambul.
And then after that, I'm going to go watch the World Cup of Speed skating in Montreal.
Really?
Are you very into speed skating?
I'm locked in on short track.
speed skating. Yes. It's a new season, a new time, a new city. Is this a new season of your life
that you are into short track in every four years at the Olympics? But now. But why? Why that? I just
think it's so fun. It's like Mario Card on ice. Yeah. And I actually don't know how to skate.
So maybe this might inspire me to learn. But yeah, I'm going to watch that in Montreal.
Okay. Also, by the way, Traders New Blood, episode six, check out my recap after the episode coming up on Thursday
us live.
Ramble live at 4 p.m. Eastern.
No, no, no, no,
ramble on Traders Newblood as well.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yes.
Go ahead to the Ramble app
to talk about the Traders New Blood
and find out what Omer and many of the Traders
alumni have to say there.
All right.
This was super fun.
Can't wait to hear what you all have to say about this.
Thanks.
Thank you, James, for having us here in the studio.
An honest goodness Survivor fan.
All right.
Thanks so much.
Take everybody to a good one.
Bye.
