Boys are back.
Jack, myself, and Wendell are here to discuss all things
episode 11 or lack thereof.
With the end game in sight, the stakes
have never been higher from a chaotic immunity
challenge and a rare Jeff Probst correction
to shifting alliances and a puzzling jury moment.
This episode had us clutching our buffs,
and we're here to break it all down.
Let's get into this week's Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News.
Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News.
Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News. Survivor News.
Da da da.
Yeah, and we are back covering your Survivor News, 48 Episode 11. The Baby Boyz are back.
The Liar himself, Wendyzy the first merge boot.
What's poppin' Wendyzy?
What's poppin'?
I'm glad to be here.
It's good to be back.
Well, listen.
And the non-liar of the trio of us,
we have the Jack to the Atkins.
You might remember him from season two of The Circle.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Okay, we got Jackery.
What's poppin' with you, Jack?
He's takin' a stand.
He's takin' a stand.
Just had a couple of fl flex on everybody real quick.
What's poppin?
Not this season.
Wait, wait, okay.
Sorry, not this season.
Listen, it's a lot to get into about this season.
But we were just in DC last night.
Shout out to the DC that came out to the Bryce and Wynn
for the eight of DC was great.
But Jack, you know what I always say?
One thing that I love about going to the DC events,
we get to meet some of the posse.
We get to meet the fans.
Shout out to yes, oh Wendell, we're gonna go there.
Shout out to one of the posse members that came from,
was it Israel Wendell?
Yes.
Israel, she had a medical procedure
or a medical consultation that was maybe Tuesday.
She decided to extend for Bryson Wynn.
She didn't want to come by herself.
So she made her sister fly from Colorado
who was not a survivor fan,
but now was a Bryson Wynn fan.
And just shout out to them, shout out to the Posse,
but also Jack.
We got some questions for you, baby boy.
We got some questions for you, Jack.
And I just need for you to answer them real quick.
Jack.
And I saw you guys going on the news too, that was cool.
Yeah, yeah.
Shout out to us, we were on Fox Five
doing Celebrity Dish and the Lion Lunch Hour.
DC Fox Five loves us.
They have anyone on that.
I don't know.
Did you hear him?
No, what'd he say?
They just said they just have anybody on that.
Uh, no, Jack, the younger version of-
I can't press the phone.
Yeah.
I'll start.
I'll get this thing started.
Let's talk about it.
Yeah, this is bad.
I literally don't know what I'm start. I'll get this thing started. Let's talk about it. This is bad. I literally don't know what I'm expecting.
But ask it in a way that it's not that leading.
Go ahead, Winfrey.
Jack, do you know what NASA stands for?
Like, not specifically.
It stands for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Okay.
Jack, is gravity on Earth?
Gravity is like most places.
Yeah, it's on other places too.
Okay.
Do you know what the ISS stands for?
International Space Station.
I like it.
I like it.
We're getting, okay.
Were people pressing me about my astro knowledge?
Is that what this is?
Okay.
Now, let's see. Were people pressing me about my astro knowledge? Is that what this is? Correct. Okay.
Now, let's see.
Do you believe we landed on the moon?
Yeah, but I understand maybe. Yes or no.
Yes or no suffices.
Yes, I believe we landed on the moon.
Thank you.
Are we the only in, do you believe in our universe?
We're the only intelligent life forms.
No, I mean, it's very complicated, but I would say if you want to, yes, you know, I would say no.
Let's get to the hard questions. Jack.
Were you an alternate on Ghost Island?
No.
Well, we're talking about. No. Also, why? Well, what the top? I don't also Jack.
What, what did you want to be when you were growing up, Jack?
I wanted to be like a sports agent. Oh, okay. Well, listen, well,
we met somebody last night. I'm right.
That knew you very well.
Very well.
And has played some IRL games with you.
And they said, you know, Jack has changed a lot.
I knew Jack when Jack wanted to be an astronaut.
An astronaut.
Did you want to be an astronaut, Jack?
No, I never wanted to be an astronaut. Jack, okay.
You were Carson before Carson, Jack.
Jack, somebody last night said...
I like space and I studied some astro in college, but I never would want to be an astronaut.
That sounds terrible.
You met somebody that played an IRL game with you that said the Jack I knew then, he wanted to be an astronaut.
They also said, the Windmill.
He said, now.
No, no, no, no.
What also what was Jack's claim to fame in the IRL?
Jack's claim to fame was.
I want to it sounds like they don't know me that well,
because I don't know.
Something lined up. It sounds like they don't know me that well. Cause I generally don't know Jack. Some things lined up.
It sounds like something like back in my day, I knew I used to ball with LeBron.
I'm saying he said that, he said that you said that you were the alternate for ghost
island and that, and that, you know, it was either you or or or.
It was either Jack
or Michael Yerger. They were and they were laying around about this is generally not true.
Like, I wasn't even old enough to be on Ghost Island.
That's what we said.
That's that's what I said, Jack.
Now, that's that's what I started looking at, mind you.
But he was there with his wife and his wife was confirming this information
and we're like, are they acting with us?
I don't wanna put them on blast,
but can you text me the name?
Cause this is like genuinely things
that I would have never said.
Like the only survivor thing I would have shared
in that vein was that I got a call for Edge of Extinction,
but I definitely was not the ultimate.
I was not willing. Wow, exactly.
Just like your NASA credentials,
this is not publicly shared information,
so we can't share with you the name of the...
I can't have someone saying they knew me
and putting me on blast for things that aren't true.
I mean, come on.
I gotta have a word with somebody.
Right before we met you for South Africa,
because I said, well, this reminds me of the Jack that I knew he was.
He was describing how he so knowing me
and meeting me after in South Africa, Wendell, don't you think I would have been
like, oh, I was an alternate for Ghost Island if that was actually something
shit said? Absolutely.
Yeah, no, I know.
I literally was like, you know, unless you're hiding something. No, that's something you know, I literally wasn't. I was like, there's no money.
Unless you're high or something.
No, that's something, you know I would share that.
I would share like, I share a lot worse things than that.
I would do that.
Nevertheless, Jack, this person started telling me.
It sounds like this person doesn't know me very well.
I don't know.
I hope it's not someone that I consider to be a friend
because it sounds like they're just spreading.
It wasn't like negative though, Jack.
It was, it was a, we might be spicing it a little bit.
That's kind of why I want to know who it is
because to be honest with you, like,
like it's going to sound kind of maybe hostile
of me to say this, but like,
don't like keep my name out of your mouth.
Oh!
Jack!
Wait, and I know those aren't big deals,
but those are not a big deal. Time out, time out. Wait, and I know those aren't big deals, but those are things not a big deal.
Time out, time out.
Wait, none of that is.
Wait, wait, I'm Jack.
Jack, hold on, wait.
Well, just.
Wait, Jack, we have a lie detector test.
Jack, Wendell, ask the question.
What can I finish by the alternate?
No, you don't, no,
because we have to have the lie detector test.
Wendell, ask the question.
Jack, this is a yes or no question.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
I am uploading the lie detector right now.
So just access to the system.
Okay.
Was Jack an alternate on Ghost Island?
No.
The lie detector.
I wish I could say that I was guys.
That would be way cooler.
I mean, I just feel like everything you said
that they said about me is not anything I would have ever
like genuinely not anything I would have said.
I've said a lot of ridiculous things
when I was like 17, 18, 19, none of those are true.
So I like that.
And I respect the fact that it seems like they're trying
to be like fun and be like, oh, I knew Jack back in the day,
but then don't rattle off three things about me
that aren't true.
Like that's just, you know what I mean?
At first I was believing it,
but then the go silent thing for me, Jack,
I was like, well, he wasn't old enough.
However, I was like, we will absolutely bring this
to the Jackery.
Can you message me on the side who it was
just so I can at least like think it through?
I'm not gonna come for that, but I wanna,
if I don't know, I'm just gonna think the rest of the podcast.
Who was it?
Wait, what are you asking, Jack?
Can you just send me the name of who it was?
Like text it to me?
I don't wanna put him on blast, but.
Oh!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
All right, well after the pod, you're gonna have to tell me
or else I'm going to be
like a last one to fail.
Listen, shout out to DC.
DC was a time.
And the BWP is not winding up, but we are winding down.
We have our Boston stop next week.
And do you think that's all we have is BWP Boston?
No.
No, it is not.
We have, we have Boston,
we have the finale, New York City.
We also have added a real talk that will be the night before
on May 21st.
What is the topic of this year's Real Talk, Wendyzy?
This topic is a look ahead to Survivor 50.
So what we're gonna be doing is,
we're gonna be like taking old school players
and new school players and talking about what we,
I guess the evolution of the game and strategy
and what season 50 might look like.
So it's gonna be great.
We got some great, great people, including Michelle.
She's gonna speak on the panel among others.
We've got Judd, we've got Carla, we've got some heavy hitters.
Also the night before and after that, we will have our legendary karaoke party.
So tickets to all of these remaining events of the tour 48 are available.
Head to BrysonWynn.com.
But listen, let's get into.
This episode.
Where is the? What an episode. This episode could have been an alternate on Ghost Island.
This episode we could have sent it to outer space. I mean, um,
yeah,
we're just, there's some fun, but is another,
I mean, right when I thought things were finally gonna get switched up,
uh, very, very, very.
So, so I mean, I don't know where you want to go, Mary, Mary, Mary.
So I mean, I don't know where you want to go.
But the thing that I will say that I was disappointed because listen, you know, I'm a mother Mary
Stan and although Mary might have been eating a coconut and although Mary may not have been
making the greatest pitch for her to stay.
I also feel like that was an absolute great pitch
for her to stay.
And it shocks me that no one wanted to work with her
because at this stage of the game, if I am Mitch,
if I'm Shaheen, if I'm Camilla,
no matter how she is around cow
Camp if she is making Joe and Eva upset in my opinion
I feel like that's a great reason to keep her that I
Just I don't know. It just seems a little weird to me
It seems like the the strong alliance really is strong
But at what point in my my opinion, with love,
because I do love everyone out here,
are you playing a game to win
or are you playing a game to get in whatever place it is
that you sit in that alliance?
It's like, it seems like people are so scared
to shake this thing up and send everyone scrambling
by getting rid of one of the dominant players that they're complacent with kind of staying
in wherever it is that they're going to land outside of that floor.
And then it's like, now I love Joe, right? And I'm not mad at the position that Joe was in,
but have we ever seen a player
hold this much
autonomy
in the game to the point that like,
no one is, no one even wants to go against him.
It's crazy.
Like I'm not mad at Joe.
I wish I could well some of that. But it's like everyone saying we can't let them get to the end. We're at the end. We're
at the end.
Yeah, we we love Joe. We love all these people. But and if I'm playing, I want to be Joe, we love all these people, but and if I'm playing, I want to be Joe, you know, but
if I'm watching, I want to see something happen. So, you know, hey, he is running things.
He's running a tight ship over there. I just want to see some of my people make a move on Homeboy.
make a move on homeboy something. Yeah, I'm really I mean in terms of as a viewer really wanted a move to be made.
Strategically, obviously this sort of fell into the hands of like Kyle and Shaheed.
And so I'm trying to think about from their perspective.
Like I think there's something in case to make a move,
but I also sort of see why they didn't quite yet.
But I keep defending this saying next week's the time
and it hasn't happened yet.
I think to call, to sort of throw a crazy theory out there.
Okay.
Part of me wonders if maybe even a few episodes back,
maybe Kyle and Shaqeen came together and said,
let's ride this group out until the final six,
and then at the final six.
And I'm glad I saw one of the comments from last week
just before we started this,
because apparently Eva's safety without power is now expired
So that's something you know, they didn't know about it
But it's actually something that is off the table now
So that changes things because now next week they can go in with Mitch and with
Camilla and split the vote on Joe and Eva
That that do people know that though
Well, I think that no what like that it expires.
Well, they didn't even know she had it so true.
OK, so I'm thinking in their mind.
I think it's possible episodes ago that Kyle and Shaheen kind
of maybe came to this agreement that they're going to rock with
this group and then maybe at six they can split the vote with
whoever's left and I think that's actually, you know, pretty
good idea because you know, you split the vote, you know, even my player idol,
maybe Joe goes, and then you probably get Eva or whoever out of five. If you're Kyle
or Joe, or Kyle or Shaheen, that gives you a really good chance to get to the end. Now,
I don't know if that's really the conversation they had. Obviously, that relies on each other
to actually to go with the move, which given how loyal they've
been so far, I don't know if that is going to happen. Whereas I kind of like at seven,
if you take the shot that you're kind of the one controlling it. But at the same time,
if Kyle were the one to flip at seven, Kyle might be the biggest target now. So that is,
you know, maybe a point of concern. So I think there is a there is a good plan moving forward
to possibly take out Joe.
I don't even know if they would take out Eva after.
The only issue is that Joe's been great in these immunity challenge.
Eva obviously saw us as an idol, but if one of them wins immunity next time, which I think
is a pretty good chance, then it's like, oh, you might not have a shot at Joe.
You might win it again five, and then Joe's, I think is pretty good with fire. Like you don't want to be in a situation
where now you can't even take a shot at Joe
when you could have at seven made a move
and had time to figure it out.
But strategically, just, I think I don't mind it
from Shaheen and Kyle.
It's really, it's boring, but I don't mind it.
I think there's definitely a case to be made,
but it is boring and kind of frustrating to
watch.
I'm going to push back a little bit on half of what you're saying.
I do mind it from a Shaheen's perspective, right?
Because I feel like, and again, this is just me as a viewer.
I don't feel like as a viewer, we have seen enough of Shaheen's agency, right?
We know it exists. However, and Wendell and I were stuck in the car for four hours a day
and we had to watch the episode. So Wendell and I have talked about this, but like from a Kyle's
perspective, now I love me a Kyle, but I feel like this episode, in my opinion, showed me what side Kyle was on, right? Kyle, Camilla is like, listen, you as long as either one or two get to the end,
I'm fine with that. And Kyle agreed.
But I also feel like Kyle agreed to Camilla in this family, in this fashion of being
like, yes, Camilla, I don't mind if one, me being one, you being two, get to the end
as long as the one gets to the end, right?
Like Kyle, in my opinion, has made this decision
that like, I wanna work with you, Camilla,
but I'm putting my game first.
And watching this episode in DC last night,
I don't, I really feel like Kyle is setting himself,
Kyle wants to go to the end with Joe. I really feel like Kyle is setting himself. Kyle wants to go to the end with Joe.
I really feel like knowing what we know.
Listen, let me cook for a second, Jack.
Because like Kyle is a lawyer, right?
Like Kyle's smart as hell, right?
Let's be.
And look at this jewelry, right?
Like, and I think that Kyle has a read on the jewelry
that we as viewers may not have.
And I feel like Kyle is like, you know what?
I'll take my risk with Joe because look at it.
Who's had to fight more? Who's had to like, and again, we're talking of this like honor and integrity.
But yes, and I love Joe, but Joe has been running the empire, right?
And most people, we wanna take down the empire.
The empire lives at the top of the house.
He's got workers and other people.
And so sometimes people rebel against that.
Although they'll follow the order of law,
I really feel like people are going to rebel against that.
And when you look at this jury, you look at Star,
you, I mean, I think that in my opinion,
what was very clear was David last night, right?
Taking that stand.
And at the end, I saw Cedric even whisper something to him,
right, where I feel like the jury might like Joe,
but I also feel like the jury might be like, you've been in
power this whole time. What really other than you holding the power, what does that do?
And then you have someone like the Kyle who can give a closing statement, who can think
about it, let Kyle reveal his relationship to Camilla.
Like that's mind blowing.
I just feel like with Kyle kind of essentially in my mind
telling Camilla this episode, like, listen, sis,
I love you, but if it's me or you,
it's you, not me.
I'm going to the end with these.
Like, I feel like Kyle is gearing up for something.
I didn't quite think that's how he was saying it to Mila,
but I do agree.
I think Joe's stock with the jury
has gone down a little bit.
And I do understand maybe Kyle or even Shaheen's perspective,
even though we haven't seen as much of it,
to be like, maybe if I go to the end with Joe and Eva,
who their whole thing was like loyalty, da da da da da,
this jury doesn't really seem
like they're buying into that.
Maybe I can explain, maybe I can out explain Joe and Eva.
I think it's very valid and again, kind of boring.
Like I don't know if that's exactly the way I'd want to go,
but it does seem like not a bad,
if Kyle has thought in his mind like I can beat Joe and Eva,
then you might as well just keep going with this.
Maybe it's true.
I feel like it's a risk to potentially take.
Yeah, because, yeah, I mean, if you flip on Joe, then it's like.
Then you're pretty exposed the rest of the way.
And the only the only thing is like now if they do want to,
I guess that's the big question is like less about like when should they flip
or how they flip, it's more like, do they even want to flip?
And maybe they just don't.
And that's why the season is just been so such a straight and narrow. The only thing is
now if Kyle, I feel like my thought has been more that Kyle probably doesn't, I don't think he wants
to get the end with Joe necessarily, but he doesn't want to have to pick between Joe and Camilla. So
he's just going to take out everybody else except for them. And then he might not have the agency
to change anything.
Right. Like if they get to five and it's like Joe, Eva, Shaheen, Kyle, and Camilla, then
I think then Kyle's in more trouble.
And now he might get to four, make five or get to the end because they'd probably take
out Camilla first.
But it's still like one of those things like you're trying to have his cake and eat it
too.
But eventually, you know, you're not you're going to lose both.
Well, you've been eating your cake in the dark. will it make a big stink that like, like, you know
what I'm saying? Like I just, I'm just, I feel like Kyle and Camilla's, some of my relationships
with these men's is that like the world don't know they sleeping in my bed. And so like
when we break up, I might be upset, but I don't have to go on, they're not making an Instagram post about me.
We don't have to like do all of these things.
And so I feel like he's been a little more public
with a Joe's relationship.
And so I feel like that might tarnish the reputation
a little more as to his relationship with Camilla.
I'll tell you what,
when we saw that conversation between Kyle and Camilla Bryce, we had the
conversation in the car.
It's like, yeah, yeah, I just want to see one of us sit at the end.
Yeah, me too.
I just want to see one of us sit at the end.
And again, I think I think it was Kyle saying I just want to see one of us sit at the end.
And also, it's like, if Camilla is the first to say I just want to see one of us sit at the end. I'm honestly and also it's like if Camilla is the first to say,
I just want to see one of us sit at the end, then that to me, that's
you're my jury vote now, like, and and you are the person that is
is going to politic for me in the jury.
So I'm hoping that that's not the case.
I'm still rooting for everyone.
Guyanese for sure.
I want them both to stay at the end.
When I see them and how they talk to each other and how they look at each other.
That's how I felt with Laurel on my season.
I want to see these two at the end.
I still hold hope that that can happen.
But when it comes to the Kyle looking forward, I think Kyle just wants to get to the end.
I think he's like, you know what? I am a good talker. I can. I
do have a strong game. I've won here and there. I've won
rewards, etc. I've played the game. So if I'm at the end, I
have a punchers, a fighter's chance at this thing. If it's
with Joe, all right, I don't necessarily want to sit with
them, but I'm down for it. That was me and Dom.
I was like, yo, okay, if I got to sit next to Dom at the end, I'm going to do what I
got to do, you know?
And so that's what I got.
It is an interesting point because, I mean, it seems like Kyle's thinking about this like
every day out there where I almost think he's got these two avenues to go.
And I guess in his mind, it's sort of like, if I betrayed Joe, Joe might be the type
that would not give me his vote and kind of poison the jury towards me.
Whereas if he goes to the end with Joe and he can kind of string Camilla along as long as he can maybe to final five
and then say like, oh, I'm going to try to work with you. And then Joe, even Shaheen
vote out Camilla. Now, Kyle still keeps up that, that, that, that, that, that, that,
yeah, that, that, that, yeah, exactly. That he wants to work with her. She gets voted out through no fault of
Kyle's, even though his hands are clean and then she goes to the jury. And like you said,
she's a jury vote for him and she's going to say really positive things about how they
had this secret relationship. Now, if I were Camilla at that point, I don't know if I'd be as, if I had someone who, it's like,
someone's leading me on, you know, for, for like weeks in this game almost and never makes
the move.
I'm gonna be like, okay, you said you were gonna work on me, but clearly you were just
stringing me along.
But Camilla seems less likely to be better than like Joe, even though I think Camilla
would almost have more right to be.
So I guess I do.
I mean, I think Kyle's, I think Kyle's playing the best game right now. I think
he's got a lot of options. And I see why it's such a thing to
weigh because it's like, okay, who has the most stock with the
jury, but also the jury might be bitter, and they might look at
this way. And then if I put out this person here, that might
make me bigger. There's a lot for him to factor. And I think
he's handling it pretty well. And I kind of see why again, I
think it's boring. But again, sometimes the best survivor is boring to watch,
like in terms of gameplay.
I can see why he's getting rid of these sort of
other variables like a Mary to make,
to boil it down by himself time to kind of work out
his decision more and more before he really like
takes a shot or doesn't take a shot.
But whatever the better.
The other thing is this, if Kyle votes out Joe,
who is the big glaring, biggest threat out there?
That would be Eva.
And if Eva is still there.
I don't know.
I'm saying at the, okay, go ahead.
Well, you know, but as with still numbers remaining
in the game and vote outs to heaven,
if you voted out Joe last night,
who's everyone looking at?
Eva.
Kyle. Kyle.
I think Eva. I think Eva becomes the biggest threat.
And I also feel like, but listen, look at this right now, bro.
I think Eva's losing finals at this point.
Well, I'm not. I agree with that.
And I also think that Eva thinks that as well.
But what I'm saying to you is that, like, I feel like if.
Kyle were to get if if Kyle were at the end with Joe,
I feel like Kyle could win it.
However, if Kyle got rid of Joe and Eva sits there,
I think that changes things.
And I think that ups Eva's stock a little bit more.
I think it ups Eva's stock,
but I also think Kyle then rises to be,
okay, he made that, he directed this move.
Now he's the biggest threat.
Obviously, having Jo on the jury advocating for her
and giving her some time in the game
to maneuver by herself a little bit
could be good for her game,
but I don't think as soon as she loses her number one,
she's not now the biggest threat in my opinion.
I think the biggest missed opportunity,
and I'll go on record record and I say this with love
because I love my girl Camilla and I loved my girl Laurel.
I think that we are seeing this loyalty that they have working with a window and working
with a Kyle.
And I feel like if I am Camilla after last week, I brought you a plan, right?
And I think we hear Kyle this episode say,
like Camilla is my mastermind.
I can go with her with my problems
and she can figure it out.
Last week, Camilla gave you an option.
You said, I don't know about it.
This week, Camilla is bringing you another option
and you're like, and again, I'm not mad because it's good for Kyle's game. Kyle
doesn't want to rock the boat, rock the boat, work the middle, change the new position, new position.
So that's like, that's like Kyle. Stroke it for me. I want you to rock, rock the boat, rock the boat. Work the middle, work the middle.
Name, name, name, name the song or artist Jack. Rock the boat. Yep.
This is where y'all get a little hard.
This is where it always gets a little hard. Yes, maybe, but if we haven't sung this song to you for seasons, and I also was talking
to a posse member that said, yeah, we get it.
Jack might not know that, but some of these songs Jack should know.
Shout out to our girl, Sid, and you met Sid in Austin.
She was in DC and Sid said, Jack should know some of these.
Right.
And Sid dressed up as me for Halloween one time long ago.
I'm sorry, Sid.
Um, can I get a hint?
This person died tragically.
Damn.
I mean, all right, P.
I don't know.
Some would say she.
Now, we're not even gonna do that,
not in the midst of a cowboy car tour, so don't even go there, because I know what you. Some would say she. Now we're not even going to do that. Not in the midst of a cowboy car tour.
So don't even go there.
Cause I know what you're about to say.
We're not going to compare this person to Beyonce.
Although we love this person, but like, let's just be clear.
We're not going to do that.
Oh, I know what some would say.
No, I don't know.
Aliyah.
Woo.
Yeah, I wanted to get to that.
That's like a go-to and I don't want to just be clean.
Well, that's why we are making it easier for you.
But here's my thing.
What I was saying was that like, listen, at this point, if I'm Camilla and I'm locked
in and I love you, Kyle, but you've revealed your cards to me enough and that's why that's
what I'm doing is actually so good is because Camilla has like no
else to go like she has to make a move.
Like what's she going to, she can't pull like what's she going to, she, Mary and
Mitch are ready to go, but there's Shaheed, she's not going to get Shaheen.
She's not going to get Joe.
She's not going to get Eva.
So Kyle is just such a.
He has a Mary.
She like, I feel like you're right.
Right.
You're right, Jack.
She doesn't necessarily have anywhere to go.
But at this point, if I'm a Camilla
and I've made it this far, I'm working with a Mary.
I'm gonna say that I'm gonna go back to a Joe.
I'm gonna go back to Eva and say,
hey, I just walked up on Mary.
She's a little more active.
Right, Mary does have an idol.
Like Camilla is smart as hell.
Camilla can come up with some, she's unforgettable.
Okay.
I love you.
Yeah, just for her to get a little more active by herself
and just try to, yeah.
You said she's unforgettable?
Yes.
As opposed to got fun betrayal.
Which this season does not have.
It is not on me.
I'm with Joe, because that's what I saw. Okay, I saw that too, Joe.
I said that's it.
That's how you know you're in the wrong spot
on a puzzle if Bryce agrees with you.
He shoulda known.
He shoulda known.
A big thing I wanna do, you know, we touched on a little bit. We talked, like I mentioned, I think Joe's stock is falling a little bit.
And the biggest takeaway that I had was with this Mary situation about, you know, Mary
is a great at playing from the bottom.
I think she did everything she should have done
this episode and everyone, you know,
people were just so tight knit that it didn't work,
but like, you know, she did her best.
Joe, I thought it was a huge blunder
what he did in reaction, you know,
and it didn't even, it wasn't even that obvious
to me at first, but if Mary is bluffing her idol
and Camilla is safe, has immunity, and
you go to Mitch and Kyle and suggest that you might throw a vote somewhere, Kyle and
Mitch reacted perfectly. They're like, what, on us? Because the only other people he could
vote for were Eva and Shaheen. So Joe clearly didn't, like, I would assume his vote would
be on Mitch, but like Joe clearly didn't think this through at all
Which I think this it's such a blunder that I think it kind of makes me rethink a lot about Joe
He's an excellent social player great at leading this group
But when it comes to like I think any layered strategy it seems like and obviously it's late in the game people tired
But like I don't think really anyone else in this
game is making a blunder like that. It was, it was pretty bad.
Like, and he, it almost seemed like he almost suggested like,
but I throw a vote on you. It's like,
you didn't almost back Jack. He said, Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
word around town is Mary might throw something on me. Wendell and Jack.
Which one of y'all? Which one of y'all's name?
I'm not, listen, we not gonna do it, Jack.
But I'ma just throw Jack a reality.
It was insane, yeah.
It's like, I get him being a little bit nervous,
but that's not like
and I get him also be like if they were in my shoes, they would be worried, too.
Sure. They've been in your shoes.
That you're going to vote for them instead.
Where you're like that to me almost shows like like.
No, it's not like you are in this game.
Like that's what happens when you're in power, right?
Like when you are in power for so long.
But he's drunk with power.
This is why I think maybe the jury's perception of him is not going to be as good as it should be.
It's like for him, it's so like like to be like, oh, is it cool if I like I'm worried,
can I throw a vote for you so that if she plays an idol,
like that you would go home instead of me
is basically what I would do.
It's what?
Yeah, it's like, why would I ever do that?
And if she does have an idol,
then that means I'm going home, Joe.
Why would I be cool with that?
Like if someone asked me that, I would be like,
are you insane?
Like, no.
I'm not even mad because the way Joe did it,
when we in the car, I had to ask Wendell.
I was like, well, why wouldn't they do it?
Right?
Well, why wouldn't they do it?
Wendell's like, no, that don't make sense, Bryce.
I'm like, oh shit.
Like I'm listening to Joe, but listen, for me,
real quick, Wendyzy, for me, this is why I love Joe, right?
I love a contradicting king, right?
Cause I'm a contradicting king myself, right?
All second half of the episode,
we won't, we voting Mary, stay cool.
10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.
Mary eating the coconuts, you saw Joe go,
10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.
You're going, Mary, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. You're going to marry.
Your breath stink.
10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.
You're going to marry.
F you.
10, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, one.
Mary said, hey, everybody.
Hey, I know I'm going home.
But before I go home, Joe, I'm putting a vote on you. Joe said, say, hey, hey, hey, we need a meeting now.
Eva, Kyle, Shaheen, Mitch, come here.
Like, I love that.
I just loved the paranoia of a Joe episode.
The edit has been trying to like have him control the paranoia.
But I do have thoughts,
but Wendell, what were you gonna say?
Have we seen,
cause I remember in Ghost Island,
Dom and I got blindsided like episode three,
and they voted out Morgan.
And that was all the survivor school we needed at the time
to learn and to snap into it.
Has Joe had one of these moments in this game or has he been riding a high, literally, the
whole game?
He and Eva have been on top the whole time.
This is tremendous power.
You have yet to, I guess, falter or fail or for anything to not go your way.
So yeah, we could say he's almost like,
it's like if everything you do turns to gold,
if everything you touch turns to gold,
then yeah, you could be like, you know what?
I'm just gonna say certain things to whatever people
and when something finally doesn't go your way
or when Mary wants to call you out, now you're really shaking up.
I will say for as strong of a game as Joe's been playing, we have seen him slip up socially.
Like didn't he slip up socially with Mary like last episode or something when you know,
basically why people were like blaming her for David
and things like that.
Like three jury management type of stuff, you know.
So we know that this man isn't like the perfect player.
But yeah, I think the falters in his game are
when he sees something coming for him
and now he's trying to socially maneuver and some like,
so I think that those things are his Achilles heel.
It's what makes Joe so interesting casting wise too
is like we see Joe values like honesty and integrity
and he is obviously a man of those principles
but he's also playing to win.
Like we can tell he's playing to win
and I just think in this day and age, you're never gonna be able to win. We can tell he's playing to win.
And I just think in this day and age, you're never going to be able to win the game of
Survivor playing fully honest and fully with full integrity.
But it seems like Joe is still coming to terms with that.
And so he's trying his best to, but he also subconsciously knows he has to lie a little
bit or whatever, but he's not really accepting that part of it.
I mean, it reminds me of his reaction to what David said, like he went against his word. Like, obviously,
that was maybe a little bit exaggerated, but obviously, Joe, I think couldn't even comprehend
why David would even say that because in Joe's mind, he's playing with so much integrity. Now,
let me be clear, like, you like Joe shouldn't be playing like Joe is starting to go against that a
tiny bit. And I don't think Joe's really understanding that. Like Joe is starting to go against that a tiny bit.
And I don't think Joe's really understanding that,
but then he gets himself in these situations
where it's like, okay, well I did,
it's almost like I do have to lie to you,
but he like doesn't really want to,
but then he's like, that's why he's like,
he chirps up on his words a little bit,
which is I think obviously as a viewer, as a fan,
that like, I'm like, go for it, Joe, like go do it.
But he's, it's almost like he doesn't even know
that that's what he's starting to find,
the position he's finding himself in, but like.
I feel like he is finding himself in that position.
And I feel like he's kind of running camp,
like what a Boston Rob would do in old school
when we make a decision and he doesn't want you to talk.
Because if you don't talk,
then people can't like twist your words.
And we kind of saw that with Mary, when Mary was like, no one's talking to me. And if anyone don't talk, then people can't like, twist your words, and we kind of saw that with Mary,
when Mary was like, no one's talking to me,
and if anyone talks to me, then it's like,
it ruffles the feather, and so it's like, again,
kudos to Joe, right, like, because although as a viewer,
I hate it, however, if I'm in Joe's shoes,
and I can lock it down, I ain't mad.
Again, I really do feel like like respectfully, some of the blunder
is on that people that are left in the game that aren't able to pick up on this. That's
for me is what the what frustrates me. I understand like you want to fall in line, but sometimes
you got a buck back sometimes like you we need a revolution. Okay. The revolution will be televised and we're watching TV.
Now, what I will say is that Joe's blunder this episode of him getting
a hype like, Oh, what are we going to do?
I feel like that was a lot of the edit because at the end of the day, if Joe
felt like he was in trouble, baby, best believe Ms.
E va will have come through with the idol so quick
and the fact that there is no footage
of them even discussing that,
makes me maybe even believe,
now here's a wild thought,
could Joe have been acting?
Is there, now hear me out,
is there a world where Joe hears this information and then kind of like acts
a little overreacted like he did to kind of almost signal
to the other people that like maybe he's not in power.
Like, you know, it kind of lowers his like threat level of
like he's-
To be more nervous about it.
Right, to be a little more nervous about it because then
now it's like you've got people like Shaheen and Mitch
comforting you like, don't worry about that.
They didn't write my name down seven times.
I don't know if it was quite comforting.
I do think it was Shaheen and then Mitch the wrong way
a little bit, but I know where you're coming from.
Right, like humanize you a little bit.
I mean, you didn't go about it a great way.
Like I still maintain that,
like with him saying like to Mitch,
Mitch basically being like to Mitch,
kinda like right, you know.
That's the thing with Joe wanting to keep integrity,
I think in his mind, he's like,
what's like the most honest thing I could do
is to go ask Mitch if I could like write his name down,
which is way worse to do.
And honestly, it seems way more deceitful than to just be like, okay, let me talk to
Eva and maybe one of us throws a vote on Mitch.
That's okay.
That's the thing.
He's getting himself in these pickles trying to be honest, but then he's trying to be so
honest that it's like, no, that's way more messed up.
Why would you, you know what I mean?
So yeah, you just write it down and you say your apologies after.
I'd be more offended if I was Mitch that Joe asked me, like thinking that I would
be OK with that than if he just did it like another blunder or a blindside
that I I'm shocked that Kyle not taking this avenue, because I feel like Eva, at this point, we see Eva,
she goes on another reward, Eva picks the purple rock,
Eva does the challenge, Eva doesn't go for knowledge
without power because why does she need knowledge
without power?
Because Eva has the power, so it doesn't matter.
But I love-
Knowledge without power.
Right, that's what Eva got, not knowledge, what is it, knowledge with power? Knowledge without power. Right. That's what Eva got.
Not knowledge.
What is it?
Knowledge with power?
Safety?
Safety with power.
Safety without power.
Safety without power, right?
But Eva turned it down because she's like,
I've got the safety with the power.
So I don't need this.
But Eva coming back and essentially like her rationale
was like, I'm one for the team,
one for all, all for one, right? I'm for the team. essentially like her rationale was like, I'm one for the team,
one for all, all for one, right?
I'm for the team.
Was that her rationale?
Well, her rationale was like, well, I got everything.
So it's like, I don't need that.
What do I do?
I was like, y'all wanted this so you could take, take my shit, but I don't need it.
Like, cause I got everything.
Eva, Eva got back to the camp.
It was like, I know y'all will want this, but not today.
And at Tribal, when Eva said, like, I'm for the team,
like, I'm doing what I can for the team.
I want to know, is there a point in Kyle's mind where he's like,
I wonder if there's a way that I could utilize
Camilla to orchestrate a Joe getting out.
And if I orchestrate that, who's the next person that Eva is closest to?
It's me. And now it's like, I want all of that armory that you've got and utilize it to protect
me. Like, I don't know. I feel like that's a, that could be, that's a winning move for a Kyle.
That's a winning move for a Kyle.
I like that idea. The problem is, well, A, Kyle, like we said last week,
would have to be kind of a part of it, I feel like.
And B, I feel like Eva, of course,
if she catches wind of something like that
or knows that Kyle was involved,
I feel like Eva, you know,
Eva seems like the type that if someone stabs in the back,
she's like never gonna forgive you.
And like, partly because, you know, we know that she doesn't have the best ability Eva seems like the type that if someone stabs in the back, she's like never gonna forgive you.
And like, partly because, you know, we know that she doesn't have the best ability to
pick up on, you know, people are lying or telling her the truth.
So it just feels like, and that's like a vulnerability of hers.
So if you do lie to her, I think like that's it with Eva, like you're not winning her back
over.
She's not trying to get lied to multiple times.
Right.
Which is what Survivor is all about.
She's had it pretty good
in that sense, but I do think if Eva got lied to by her alliance, she would be like,
she'd freak out. Which would be interesting to see her play from the bottom, but I don't know,
it doesn't seem like we're gonna have to do that. I also feel like the only person that's really,
really honest in the Honest Integrity Tribe alliance is Eva. And I almost feel like the way that Eva reveals her truth,
right? Like I it's like, it's like her power and her superpower, right? Like where it's like,
she just like tells everybody everything. And it's great because it disarms her. It really does.
Like, I don't think anyone really is looking at Eva as a threat at this point,
only in the sense of because it's like, well, girl, you've been at the top
and we know everything.
And so it's like there's no need to portray, betray you
because it's like we know everything.
And so I look at it like, well, I want to make sure I'm good with even I want to like I
is that this is why I say I do think he was playing probably the closest thing
to an honest game that we've seen in a long time. But that's why I don't feel
like an honest game can really win in the new era because I think especially
with a lot of the criteria that jury members typically factor in especially
more so on other seasons. I mean, this season, maybe there's a little bit more integrity.
I mean, to count with this jury, I say.
But it's like if I'm there, it's like, OK, even like you're straightforward
and honest about everything.
That's cool. I really like you.
But that's not a game I'm going to vote for.
So right. And that's fine.
But you're killing it, right?
But I think you sort of were saying like that made her maybe more or maybe I misinterpreted the way.
So but I felt like you were saying that's like something that people might value to vote for.
I'm like, no, no, no, I'm not vote for.
Yeah. Okay. Cool. Yeah.
Because I think it's great.
She's the best ally you could have.
Absolutely.
That's why I think no one's targeted her because it's like, well, if I can get and go with Eva
and I don't think people are gonna work with her,
then I definitely wanna keep her around.
Here, it's not much in this episode,
so we don't need to talk more,
but I would love to know your two perspectives on this.
Who actually is playing the more honest game,
Kyle or Joe?
I mean, I would say.
I guess I'd say Joe.
I guess Joe, but I think there's a case to be made for Kyle.
But the only thing is that the way Kyle's playing the game is
he's got a lot of honesty right now, but at some point,
inevitably, he's going to have to break it.
And so he's he's he's really honesty right now, but at some point inevitably he's gonna have to break it. And so
he's really honest right now, but inevitably he's gonna really betray one of his number ones.
Whereas Joe isn't gonna have to do that. But, okay, right. Okay, I'm with that. But also,
say that again. Kyle is not being honest about his relationship with Camilla.
Right. But what if, what if Camilla and Eva go to fire?
And Eva went fire, right?
Like even like,
um,
is that what he did?
Like Joggin or Joga before, right?
So Kyle would have to, well,
he did have to like make a move or really just like passively
not make a move, which I think really hurts.
But is there a way that Camilla could go and that Kyle's hands are clean?
Well, sort of, but that would require you to take out like a Shaheen or Joe at five.
And so, and it's at that point, it's like we've talked about Kyle helping set up those
moves and like not pulling the trigger.
But if he also, if he knowingly does that,
then that's not honest.
That's like, that's like-
But if Shaheen goes,
isn't Shaheen in the loyal and honest alliance
with Kyle and Joe?
Yeah, so if Kyle were part of getting out Shaheen,
then he's no longer being honest
because he just betrayed that alliance.
Wouldn't Joe have to be a part
of getting out Shaheen as well?
Not necessarily.
What if Kyle goes against Camilla in fire?
Beats her in fire, that bolsters him, he wins the game.
Yeah, I mean, Kyle, I think is the front runner right now,
to be honest with you, yeah.
Again, I don't know, I think Joe might be the front runner,
but I just, I'm just-
I think what we're seeing of Joe lately though,
is really, it is partly the editing but that's
you know a factor I think it's hurting his stock like he last week he had a slip up with
Mary this week he has a slip up with like I was talking to Mitch and I think with this
jury that there I feel like if I'm on the jury I'm gonna be pretty sick of Joe not because
he's not anything wrong but like if like we talked about even earlier in the in the post
marriage with David if they're all talking about this integrity and strength and loyalty,
and I'm not a part of that and I was never going to be a part of that,
then I'm not really thrilled about casting my vote for Joe.
I feel like that's how a lot of the jury members are going to feel.
I feel like David's not going to vote for Joe.
I feel like Mary is not going to want to vote for Joe.
I don't think he's going to want to vote for Joe.
I don't know if Cedric is going to want to vote for Joe.
I don't know if Star isric's gonna wanna vote for Joe.
I don't know if Star is gonna wanna vote for Joe.
He's so loyal to his people,
but he also had a relationship with them
and then they feel betrayed.
So I think that's the thing.
And that's what my question to you is,
then is Joe really playing a loyal game?
Like who's actually playing the more loyal game,
Joe or Kyle?
And I feel like with Kyle being a lawyer,
I feel like Kyle might get to the end
and give a closing statement
that kind of can reflect something like that
that I think might be like, oh, I don't know.
Agreed.
That's, I think that's a,
if I was a betting man, I'd be,
I'm betting on Kyle to win for sure.
And it's not, it hasn't been flashy,
but it's been really strong quality, like solid survivor.
At this point, it could be one of the best games
of the new era, just in like how he just played it
by the book and he's done it really well.
Doesn't have to be flashy.
Yeah. And again, I'm also still holding out that again,
they brought knowledge without power back to season.
The last time we've seen it was when-
What?
Power without knowledge, knowledge without power.
Knowledge is power.
Knowledge is power, knowledge is power.
They brought knowledge as power this season.
The last time we've seen it was season 43, right?
And who won that season?
Gabler.
I'm still holding out that again, my job,
I wouldn't be mad if Jo won, I wouldn't be mad for Kyle one, I'm still
holding out.
A shine.
Camilla, Camilla, I'm still I'm still holding out. My baby boy
Mitch my goal and immunity. I'm just saying I I'm still holding
out.
Who has the best shot say somehow Joe and Kyle, neither of
them are there.
Like if say it's like an Eva,
right then the other contenders would be like
Eva, Shaheen, Camilla.
I don't really know if Mitch is a contender at this point.
I hate to say that, but like it's,
there's not enough time for him to turn things around.
Like who wins of like a Shaheen, a Camilla and an Eva?
Doesn't necessarily have to be that final three specifically.
Like Mitch could be in that mix and get a vote or two.
And I love Camilla,
but I think I might have to go with Shaheen
only because Camilla and Kyle's relationship
has been so undercover
that people just might not see it.
Yeah, that's the thing.
Shaheen has been out here.
Shaheen's been, like, you know, so that's my only thing.
But...
Agreed.
Like, for us as the viewer,
Kyle and Camilla's secret relationship has been amazing.
But if it's that secret that nobody knows about,
you never do anything with it, like, after the merge.
It's like, okay, like, me and Wendell could say
we have a secret alliance.
But if we ever, like, work together,
then it doesn't really matter.
Yeah. Well, I mean, again, it's safe to say
that this episode wasn't the greatest,
like action packed wise.
However, if you're playing a game like a Joe,
you're playing a game like a Kyle,
then you're playing a game like a Shaheen.
Like, I mean, it's slow and steady wins the race.
Can I ask a quick question to cap it off?
I know you have to run Bryce, but just say it could be like a quick answer.
We've been talking about it every episode.
Do we think final six is something going to happen or is it just going to be like Mitch or Camilla that goes up?
Nothing. Nothing's happening.
I think it's at this point from what I've seen, I honestly think that it's like, they're
going to pick everybody off because like, what else you got to make a move?
Like I'd like to see it.
It's your Camilla.
Yeah, Kyle and Shea both have to be down to like split the vote, right?
Like Kyle's not going to go to rocks at this point.
Oh, no. Yeah.
Yeah, you can only you can only show me, but so many times I'm going to believe who you are.
You know, so damn, I had to.
Oh, the other thing I wanted to say quickly quickly was Jack.
You mentioned a couple of times we've seen Joe's edit kind of like sliding a little bit. We've seen Kyle's edit kind of rising a little bit.
And I will also remind you guys that sometimes they, um, and again, I see either one of them
winning it. Like those are my, when I see either one of them winning it. Um, but sometimes they,
uh, they bolster the second place's edit a little bit towards the end
or whatever to make it interesting, to make it look like, oh my goodness, you know, or
even the third place person.
They bolster it towards the end to make it look like, wow, like, we're going to see something
and then we still might get a serious imbalance with the books.
Yeah.
My final thought is, although we are viewers
and maybe we're not happy with the outcome
because it's not an exciting game,
at this point in the season, last season,
we got Operation Italy, Andy flipped the game on his head.
Right?
I do just want to remind the viewers and the people that
are watching that although it might not be interesting to us, baby Shaheen, Mitch, Camilla, Eva, Kyle, and Joe,
they still out there fighting, right?
Like it may not be that exciting to us,
but it's still in that moment in time,
it's a war going on.
And so I just wanted to remind the people of that,
Zachary, what's the emoji if you
