what you think about this week's recap.
Babebae, the baby boys are back
and we brought a friend.
This week, Wendell, Jack, and myself
are joined by Survivor Season 48 winner
and Survivor Season 50 contestant,
Mr. Kyle Frazier,
he joins us for a period of time this episode to help us break down this tribe swap.
We went from two to three tribes.
We had a challenge that looked very familiar to the baby boy feel like I might have done that challenge once a long time ago.
But we get into tribal council.
We get into these new tribes.
We get into everyone's position.
This is so much more.
So let's get in to this.
week's Survivor News.
the baby boys are back, but it's more like the baby boys this week.
Super excited to have, you might know him from Netflix,
the floor is lava, or he may have called your phone to say,
what's up?
Do you want to be on the traders?
Jackery Atkins was popping with you Jack back in the West Coast,
not the best coast.
Yeah, for the first time of this season, I'm back in L.A.
I was in New York right around the premiere up in,
until last week.
So it's good to be back on the West Coast.
Great to be back talking about another episode, guys.
We love it.
And of course, the man hailing in from Philadelphia, by the way of the suburbs, who I might
have been on a flight with this morning.
And as we were getting our bags, I said, did you fart?
And Wendell ran away.
Okay.
Yeah, that was him.
Okay.
That's what we're doing.
That's what we're doing today.
Okay.
the winner of Ghost Island
and Destination X
Season 2. He's not
the winner, but it's coming out.
Okay? Welcome back to the podcast.
Mr. Smelly McDellie himself
Wendyzie was popping.
That's crazy that you just totally reverse
the rolls, but I'll take it. Sure.
I'm the one. I'll take it. I'll wear that.
Now, Wendy's, we got
a guest.
And normally we just click recording
and it's good.
Wendy Zee and Jack
acting up for our first guest
of the season.
Wendy Zee, please introduce
Indezy 2.0.
That's more attractive, more
Anthem, had a solid win.
Smarter.
More a bigger smile.
A nicer haircut.
He got more expensive clothes because I'm still trying to figure out
where he got that Pandagonia hoodie from
that he loves to wear.
But introduce our guest, Windezy.
I don't know where Pandagonia even is, but the winner of Survivor 48 and would have been the winner of Survivor 50,
but for a small injury, which he has fully recovered from the man who will be running the NYC marathon in a couple weeks.
Oh.
The man amid the legend, Kyle Frazier, is in the building.
Bellas.
Best intro I've ever gotten.
Glad to be with the baby boys, man.
Thank you. I didn't realize I was the first guest I am on here.
We are on.
Let's tell a story, Bryce.
Well, okay, because I was going to say.
Kyle texted.
He said it.
I thought on a side chat with Bryce.
I said, Bryce, you got to act on this now.
That's our time.
Posse, let's just be clear because y'all be thinking I'm lying or I'm minding my business, laying in my bed.
My phone go off Jack and say, boopoo, boop, boop.
I said, who is this?
I said, oh, it was Kyle.
Kyle said, hey, yo, what the, why haven't I been invited on?
I said, oh, and when DJ said, respond.
I said, hi, Kyle.
He said, where are you recording?
I said, oh, oh, okay.
But listen, it's all about accountability, Kyle.
And that's why with paperclip, okay, you should have just paperclip me.
And then we could have set it up.
Well, hey, I mean, we still got here.
It doesn't matter how we get here.
We still got here, Bryce.
I saw a clip on Instagram.
I saw a clip.
I were talking about something.
I forget.
Maybe you were talking about Brady's mom.
I forget what it was.
And I said, I haven't got the invite yet.
And that just feels a little suspicious to me.
It felt suspicious.
I've since got an explanation.
But, Kyle, in our defense,
and to your honor,
48 you couldn't be on.
49, you might have been filming something.
50 you also couldn't be on.
And now you're the first guest of 51.
So we got you in here,
as possible. We need to get Jack
a legal degree. That is good, it's good
logic. It's good logic. I'll take it.
The other thing is, that shows, like,
that shows what kind of a friend you are to us.
It's like, yo, other people are, like,
going to sit on their hands and wait for an invite.
Kyle's like, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What's the deal?
Like, why? And I love it.
And I appreciate it.
And Kyle also was like,
They show it out for our guests.
And not only, Kyle was like, well, what time y'all normally record?
We was like, well, we reported this time, Kyle said that don't work.
No, come on, right.
I said, okay.
I said, let's do this time.
Kyle said, that don't work either.
No, but we are super excited to have you, Kyle.
But before we, you know, we got to chat because a lot has happened.
But I do want to just dive into something real quick and then we could chat and then we can get
into Survivor.
Last time we seen you on our screens.
Bring Wendell back or not?
Listen,
I didn't,
Posse, this is our first guest
and Wendell and Jack
are acting like
they don't know what they're going to.
Because I was going to say,
this feels like to me
like you and Wendell are brothers
and Kyle's like the cool cousin
that's coming over.
And you and Wendell are like,
I want to hang out, Kyle.
Kyle, don't listen to Bryce.
I'm just saying.
But just quick question
before we dive into Survivor.
before we chitty chat.
You on season 50 went out, you were medical evacuated, correct?
That's right.
It's right.
Okay.
So did Jeff say to you like, your leg is messed up, but your leg wasn't infected.
Like you didn't, you would have stayed or did they, they said,
you had to go.
They most definitely said I had to go.
They said I had to leave right now.
I didn't even get to stay at Ponderosa.
I got there for, I had like 10 hours,
and I was on a flight to L.A., the New York.
I fought with Jeff for a long time,
but yeah, no, he told me I had to go immediately.
So interesting.
And so we've seen, this is episode four,
but on episode three,
we see our good brother Robert from Rhode Island.
Is that a medical evacuation?
Jeff on episode four said, and I'm just taking Jeff's words, he said Rob decided to leave.
So that to me doesn't sound like a medical evacuation.
It sounds like Rob just decided he had to go home.
At least that's what Jeff said, right?
Like I'm not a doctor, but it looked like everything was okay.
He self-diagnosed.
Hey, that happens.
Okay, that's just what I wanted to dive into.
But in DZ, we were in Atlanta.
Are you kicking out?
I'm not.
I really am not.
I really am not.
But last night, Jack and Kyle, we were in Chicago for episode four watching it.
And it was, I might be from Philly, but I think I'm from Philadelphia by way of Chicago.
Chicago is, it's like Philly, but Tom 7.
The energy in Chicago is really.
the weather be a little crazy,
but last night,
the energy in Chicago was super, super dope.
And so it was so much fun to watch Survivor in Chicago.
Wendy's, what did you think of the Shy Town?
Shetown, like we say, is one of our favorite stops.
The people come out in the Shy every time we go.
It's great seeing the fans, which they're like family now in Chicago.
and our special guests did not disappoint.
Where in Chicago was the event at?
Was it Bar Cotsina?
Bar Cossina and Westale.
Who were the special guests, Wendy's?
Well, first and foremost, we had Chef Alia in the building.
Oh.
Gone too soon.
Gone too soon.
She would have been a problem out there.
We had none other than Sharonda in the building.
Oh.
What?
We had jelly was in the building.
We had the one and only
Ori in the building.
And finally, Mr. Peanut Butter himself.
We had Devin in the building.
Wow, bro.
Wow.
It was unbelievable.
It was so special to have this group,
this helicopter alliance in Chicago.
And I hope we gave them their just,
do flowers because Chicago love them,
and I hope they felt very seen and welcomed and loved out there.
Well, let me ask you, bro, because I feel like they get to sort of,
they get to be online this season, which I really appreciate it,
because I feel like I get to see a little bit more personality
than sometimes comes across on the screen.
They seem dope online.
Are they the same way in real life?
Like, they really do seem like they actually, you know, have love for each other,
are cool people real, like, is that the case?
Kyle, ori 6-3, the muscles are real.
You're asking about all five, right.
Oh, okay, sorry.
But I also just-
I should have clarified.
I do want to say, I was a fan of Devin watching them.
I'm not gray, but my anatomy is open.
Okay, I'm here for debtment.
Sharonda.
That's great.
That's wild.
That's wild.
Sharonda is who.
Jelly is who.
Alia.
I mean, this is what I want to say,
and I don't want to harp on it too much.
And like maybe Wendo and I,
we can dive deeper on our Patreon
because we do have a guest, Kyle.
We want to, you know, we want to get into it.
But this is what I will say, though, Kyle.
Um,
Wendell and I have been doing this for a really long time.
And I don't know if you remember, Kyle.
I think we might have been at a R-HAP event.
And I think like,
I'm being serious,
but just to do sell crazy.
I think you might have been coming out of the bathroom.
And I was like going into the bathroom.
And it was like,
we had a quick moment.
Yep.
I remember.
And after that,
I said,
oh!
And so I just,
I do just want to give this,
Helicopter Alliance, their flowers, where like the way that, and normally Wendell and I,
we like to welcome and shower the incoming community with love.
It's hard for me to put into words the love that these five individuals, everyone that we've
seen, but just collectively these five individuals, the way they poured into Wendell and I
and not like, and why I bring you up, I was like, when people give you compliments sometimes
and you're like, no, great.
I remember in our conversation,
and you were like, no, no, no, no, bro,
I want you to receive this.
The way that they all ensure that, like,
we received the love, which is so weird
because me and Wendell trying to pour into them
and they're like, we see y'all.
It felt very special.
It's so interesting because, like,
it's not lost on us that we're the,
we're two black men in this space
throwing these events, doing this podcast.
There's not much like us in this space.
And then to see this group of five come support us,
they could have been anywhere.
They came to Chicago to show love to us.
And it was just, it just felt special.
And this group of five, like, they're dope, man.
Like every single one of them are down and cool and they get it.
And, you know, you know how, like, we link up and we just, you know, we talk issue on each other.
Like, that's, as soon as we met him, that's what's happening.
You know what I'm saying?
It's just love.
Yeah.
It was great.
And so Chicago was super fun.
And they said, what's up with Jack, too?
So we don't want to exclude Jack, okay?
I wasn't there, you know.
It was okay.
But it looked like a great time.
I mean, I saw all five of them pulled up.
I'm sure there was other special guests there, too.
Chicago was always a blast at those events.
So definitely had some foam out.
We had Beast Games representation.
We had Top Chef representation.
We had Buddy Games representation.
We had Chicago and love representation.
The Summit.
It was a lot.
But listen, when DZ and I are just kicking into our orbit, okay?
It's just our third stop into the open era.
And next week, we will be in Washington, D.C., Sophie B.
and my man, Sam, are going to be in Nashville.
Tickets are still available.
Click the link in the Bryson Wynn, present.
BIO, San Francisco, we come in, Philadelphia, go birds.

And Knoxville looks crazy.
So make sure you get your tickets and come be a part of the open air.
You just never know who won't pull up.
Uh, hold music. Not exactly what you want to hear when a pipe just burst in your basement is flooding.

Over 200 million wins last year alone.
Common side effects of winning with OLG?
Shock.
Disbelief.
No way.
And laughter.

Shock and all.

We got a lot to get into.
This was a very, very, very interesting episode.
So, Jack,
the only real winner of Survivor
or true player on this podcast.
I don't know about that.
Don't disrespect Kyle like that.
I mean, yeah, we get the swap.
I feel like my thoughts
and the overall sentiment were
the season started out so strong,
I think in large parts of the two tribes.
And then we shift back into three.
You know, it's pretty early.
We still at 17 people.
I felt like it took the momentum out of the wind out of the sails a little bit.
I still thought it was a solid episode because sometimes early on you need these
episodes where maybe the vote isn't crazy,
but things are still getting set up,
which I think that they were.
But I do feel like these two tribes were so interesting.
And honestly, both tribes,
it's like if they had gone to another tribal,
who knows what would have happened?
So switching to three here,
I did think kind of slowed things down a little bit.
But what did you guys think about this swap?
Kyle?
I thought, you know what, man, I thought that I would dislike it more than I actually did.
Because I feel as if we still got a ton of moments.
Like, the thing about it is, if we had started in three, then I would have been upset, just like the rest of the community.
But like, day one, right?
Day one, it starts off just everybody's together, which is why we have the helicopter alliance.
We have all these moments that sort of started off the game.
And then we go into two tribes, and I feel like we got a lot of that juice that comes with having two.
10 people on a beach.
Like, I can't, the most I've ever been on a beach with, I think was 11 or 12 right around
our merge.
And that was, it's hectic.
So I can't imagine starting the game off that way, especially when everybody's already
talked to people with 21 at the beginning.
So I feel like what I'm saying is I felt like we let up to making it not as bad when
they were in three because there was still so many dynamics across all the tribes.
Like Devin knew people everywhere.
Carter knew people.
The helicopter alliance was somehow got up together so we get that storyline.
And so I felt like when I was watching, instead of thinking about the three tribes,
I was just sort of locked in on the storylines.
And we got some good moments still.
So do I wish it was still too?
Yeah, I definitely agree, Jack.
But I feel like it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be in because we had so much lead up.
Yeah, I think there was still things being developed and built where the other thing I do enjoy
about a swap to three.
Again, I don't know about, I think it's a little early, but I like when they go into a merge
coming from three tribes because then you've got a lot of like shifting dynamics where it's not
like a one shot versus the other situation.
I don't know.
Like Bryce and Wendd,
what did you guys think about?
I mean,
Ghost Island Wendell swapped very early too.
Is that something you're a fan of or do you prefer for it to be a little bit later?
Yeah.
I'm similar in Kyle's sentiment in this case,
how it started,
how it moved into two and now we're three.
And I'm not mad at that.
In Ghost Island,
we started with two.
I think we swapped to two.
And then we swapped to two.
we swapped a three.
It was like a bunch of swaps.
And when you're on a tribe of a bigger tribe, it's kind of easier to hide a little bit.
So I wasn't mad at it being on the island at that point.
And then I swapped a three and we had a beast of a tribe anyway.
So like I was happy either way.
As far as watching it, I agree with you, Jack, in that like when you have three going to the merge,
you get to see people coming back together and how things.
had shifted from whatever the previous version was,
I think that's really cool.
And I think with these numbers,
do you think we're gonna go to merge like this?
Or do you think we'll go another swap?
We're at what, 18, 17?
17.
16 now after this episode, yeah.
Oh, wow.
I think we'll probably get to the merge with this open era.
You don't know.
Honestly, he teased this sort of one world situation.
But he's a different season.
I know. I'm like, Jeff, if there's a season, it's the open era, you know, do it now.
I think that would have been a lot of fun.
Do it now.
I would say this, though, and Wendell, you said on the bigger tribes you can kind of hide.
And, like, you know, the thing about this season, though, is nobody is trying to hide.
Like, all of them are just going crazy.
Like, not in a bad way.
They're just all, like, nobody's trying to take the gas off.
And I feel like that's partially what's making it such a good season is everybody.
So now when we're down to.
to three tribes.
You got people asking each other for shoes.
Like, I know we can do it,
but it's like nobody is trying to hide at all.
Nobody's lucky.
I think comparing this to this open era
or even casting in the open era
to your new era,
new school, new era,
it's like you guys had a lot of like super gamers.
Yeah.
At this era, I feel like it almost seems like
they got some recruits out there
that really don't know
everything that they need to know
or haven't done all the research.
So now we get some silly and some fun
and some different gameplay.
And the thing is, sorry, right?
Last thing is they said my season,
everybody was like,
my season was the one that didn't have the gamers, right?
Like, my season in the new era is at least the closest thing
to having the recruits,
like with the Davids of the world.
David only seen one season before he applied.
Joe, you know, started watching after.
Like, you know, he always watched,
but he wasn't like a super, super fan.
Like, right?
like a lot, Chrissy had barely knew the game.
Wow.
And so, and then, but people were like, well, 48, like, it's boring, this and that.
And then in reality, like, I feel like they finally got the right mix of people who really, like, who kind of get the game, but also their personalities are just, like, out here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I personally think this was a top tier episode in, like, storytelling.
Hear me out.
There's so much lightly unfinished.
business that now compiles and now it's like they had to open a can of get your ass active
and that can was open like we see what brady coming back and brady being like whoa what the
hell like i'm not in the power what's happening he's freaking out we see kilby who the hell was
this this was not killby this was kilbert this episode kilbert this episode came back and said
what's up?
We had Carter being like,
I missed a boat on purpose, right?
Like we have all these little fractions that don't mean much.
But now when we're shifted,
now it's like, oh, well, we work together at one point in a time.
How are we feeling?
And it also gives way for people like we don't really see a lot to non.
Yes.
We get to, we, she's a powerhouse and like she's with it.
The one thing that I will say is, hello, CBS.
My name's Bryce Isaiah.
My best friend, Wendy's Holland, One Ghost Island.
I'm a fan of the show.
Justice for Christian.
I don't, I'm not seeing enough of Christian on my screen.
And if I'm going to ask somebody else, my girl Lanaya.
I'm not seeing enough of them.
Sharonda, too.
Sharonda, too.
I feel like we saw a little bit of Sharonda this episode,
but she's got it together.
She's got it.
We need to see it.
And that's what I love about Sharonda,
where I feel like from what we at least have seen of Sharonda,
she locked in.
And so it's like,
Sharonda, like, I'm good in every hood.
Okay, Sharonda pop up.
They say, what's up?
I don't know about Linnea and Christian.
And so, like, it makes me a little nervous
and I would have felt like this was the perfect opportunity
for us to get to know more,
but we didn't really get to see them.
But I thought this tribe swap was very great.
It illuminated some great players.
It activated some killers by the name of Kilby.
And it also woke up some other players to say,
hey, the Survivor, start shaking some ass.
I'm glad to hear you liked it.
And I do think is, I hear you, it's also one of those things, sometimes early in the season, like, not every episode is going to be a home run.
Sometimes you're setting up the dominoes and then when they fall, it hits a little bit harder.
And I did like the opening episode one, when they're all on the same beach for a little bit, I like how that's now coming into play a little bit at the swap where it's not so cut and dry of, you know, where the to tooka has the majority here.
We're just going to stick to that.
I mean, the relationship, the helicopter lines coming into play in a major way this episode where Ori is immediately good with Jelly and Devin and they're kind of steering the ship on that tribe of five.
I agree.
I also feel like Kyle's season was more prevalent than it actually mentioned because, right, I know we were watching Survivor, but I kind of felt like I was watching like Love is Blind or Love Island or like 90-day fiancee where I feel like I know for effect, everyone on this season that prepared.
they watched your season, Kyle,
and I felt like this episode really was,
hi, my name's Camilla, and I'd like to find my Kyle.
Or hi, my name's Kyle, and I like to find my Camilla.
I feel like there was a lot of people feeling unsafe or insecure
and looking for their security blanket and trying to lock in.
And I thought it was really interesting where it seemed like a lot of this episode
was everyone trying to find their number one.
Yeah.
I didn't think about that.
That's really because, like, I thought about it
because the Carter-Tanan thing,
obviously that is going to be on everybody's mind.
I think that is so cool for a lot of reasons.
It's good game.
It's good game maneuvering.
It's good television.
It's like representative of survivor in a lot of ways.
But then you have, I really like this,
because I didn't think about it, like,
Kilby and Eric.
Eric's kind of feeling it.
Or Kilby's kind of feeling it.
Eric's definitely feeling it.
And, like, that might happen.
then you also have
oh my goodness
Alexis and Jenna
Alexis
Alexis is trying
like hey can we do this together
and Jenna's kind of like
I see you girl but this isn't for me
and then even and then you kind of got the Mike
Chronicles too right
you got Mike Pency
he shot a lot of shots
Mike is in them DMs like
hey beautiful hey beautiful
Hey, gorgeous.
Mike's shooting to everybody.
I don't usually do this, but...
Can't knock the hustle.
Can't knock the hustle.
I was going to say, like, in Mike's defense,
I feel like that is a lot of how Survivor shakes out
is just going and having those conversations,
especially on a swap and be like,
hey, I'm open.
I'd love to connect.
You know, maybe he went about it slightly corporate.
You know, he is an executive.
But I think that is, like, often
times how it goes down.
So I just thought it was really impressive when Tenon, like, clocked it.
Like that, that's exactly what he was doing.
Because I think that is, like, how people often play the game.
It's sort of accepted.
But she's able to, like, put this stink on Mike of like, oh, he just, he's working
with anybody and everybody.
Like, what is that?
It's like, well, that is Survivor, but you're putting a lens on it that, like, makes
him look bad.
And then she locks in with Maggie and with Carter.
I mean, it really was a great episode for her.
Yeah.
My only thing to Mike is, you've been on this beach with Tanan.
True.
How many days?
And on day eight or nine, you're going to tell me I'm somebody you would hang out with outside of Survivor?
He damn near was like, I'm so glad you're finally on my tribe.
You know what?
I think, too.
I think it was like kind of a lesson in or it's sometimes you get lucky in Survivor because people communicate the way you do.
Like with Camilla, I like even we, I knew that she could communicate like me.
It's just quick, boom, easy.
And I think what's interesting here, you have people trying to do that.
Like again, like Eric and Kilby, he's like, well, we're both nerds like this snap.
But it doesn't like really crystallize with Alexis and Jenna.
You know, hey, like we seem similar.
It doesn't crystallize.
then you have Carter and Tannan who actually seem very different, very different, but they communicate what, like, Tannan is a straight shooter.
She's a killer.
She's stringer bell in the wire.
She's not playing around.
Like, she's putting bullets in the back of people's head.
And Carter, I think, is a little bit of that, but just in a goofier way, straight shooter.
But I don't know.
So it's interesting how they're the ones who actually landed the plane.
Yeah.
I think it's a great point.
That's what I like a lot about this duo, and I think people are enjoying is,
They don't, unlike Mike, they don't necessarily seem like people in real life who would even necessarily cross paths.
And yet they've created this like really immediate relationship.
And I like what you said, Kyle.
I think Tenon's a straight shooter and like a really sharp game player.
And I think Carter has that in him.
But like he even said, he like sort of needs like some guidance with that.
So attaching himself to a Tenon, he's ready to like go and be able to move forward.
And I think also just in the game having someone you could be on.
percent straightforward and honest with.
Yes.
So,
so helpful.
So once you're able to establish that trust,
it, like,
really, I think,
elevates your,
your gameplay.
I will say when I was watching
Mike Penske walk around talking,
before they showed the other side
of how they were receiving it,
I thought that some of those shots
were going to work.
Like, I was like,
oh, he's getting it in.
He's doing what he got to do.
And then they were walking like,
yo, nah.
Like, he's selling the same thing to everybody.
I'm like, man.
So, yeah, it was fun to watch, and it'll be fun to see how these pairings materialize.
Yeah.
I also think, again, for me, my MVP, thus, I won't even say in the episode, but thus far in our
conversation is Carter.
Because I liked Carter from the get-go, but last episode, I was like, I don't know about
Carter.
When he was looking for the oar and the boat missed them, I was like, I don't know.
But outside of Carter and Tanan becoming my Kyle and Camilla, it was Carter's conversation with Kristen.
And again, this is where I feel like sometimes in Survivor, if you are lucky enough to have your world shaken and you could clock back in.
We've talked about it with you, Wendizzi and Ghost Island when they took that shot at you and Dom and you and Dom locked in.
I feel like Carter, his world was rocked last episode.
And now Carter is not for the BS because mind you, the way Kristen was laying it on,
okay, my dumb ass, I'm sitting here believing it.
I'm like, oh, like, they're going to get back to, like, it's going to work.
Carter said, nah, I might have missed the boat at night, but I wasn't born at night.
Carter said I'm good.
And I was like, oh, and then seeing him clock in with Tanan, like, I'm like, okay, Carter.
And you mentioned Kristen.
She was reminding me of someone this episode.
Kristen was reminding me like Barack Obama, the way straight up.
Like, I'm like, she's so hard.
It could be the hair a little bit.
But she's like so poised and like just talking to people.
and I'm excited to watch her game going forward too
because she's tough.
Yeah.
And I must, like I said, on Kristen's behalf,
or on my behalf about Kristen, last episode,
I made a joke of like, oh, is everyone self-diagnosed
in their injuries because she said she had a broken foot?
Yes.
A lot of people in the comments let me know
there was a secret scene where the doctor did say she broke her foot.
Oh, wow.
So I got a, you know, I got to, you know,
I got to, I mean, Kristen, we knew the whole sign was badass.
I meant that lightheartedly, but I got to apologize to Kristen and also give her her props that she is, in fact, playing on a broken foot.
We need to promote these secret scenes, man.
I had no idea.
I was like, what happened to Kristen?
I was like, nobody's talking about Kristen's foot.
Is it broken or not?
I had no idea.
No idea.
They released the whole thing on it, the whole scenes on Instagram.
On the TV.
If they want to, yeah.
But there is, again, just, and speaking about Kristen, right?
like you said, I do agree with the Barack Obama comparison, right?
There is something, no, I do.
No, I get it, but I never thought out in this episode it would be YouTube, be like,
Christian really is getting Barack Obama.
But it, and again, I'm not trying to jerk Kyle's chicken because he's our first guest here.
But when Kyle talked on his season, right, like, you know, it's your cadence.
It's how you would like, how you was able to get in with the honor and integrity, like, how you were like, there's just something about just how you even talk, Kyle, that I feel like people connected with Kristen, how she talks, how she describes things.
It's very, I don't, I want to say soothing, where it's like, it could be chaos, but she's just like, if I'm on fire, Kristen's like, stop.
drop and roll.
And I'm like, okay.
It's her job.
Yeah. And I think she listens too.
I think that's such a big thing.
It's like, it's not just how you talk, but like, you should watch the players when somebody's
talking to them on the show and like how they're receiving it.
And I feel as if she listens and kind of gets how each and every person wants to play
the game.
Because Kristen, when I first saw her promotional materials and when I saw the first episode with
the Kilby. I was like, that's a great scene, but I was like, you can tell that she's someone who's
used to being in control. And is, is she going to be able to put that in the back? Right? Because
that's such an archetype is like the corporate person who is, who's always in control and then
it comes to a head at some point in the season. But to her credit, she's somebody who clearly is
always in positions of power, but she's okay not being that. And like it shows in certain respects,
but it's even better. She twisted into better ways, right? Like, I have information. Let me help you
guys out, but I'm not going to be overbearing about it.
Here's how we can get some fruit, right?
I'm happy to be a part of the team, stuff like that.
You know, and I really respect it because it takes a special type of person to get out
on an island and suppress parts of their personality.
It's, I really do.
I like it.
I like how she's playing the game.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think, A, exactly to your point, she's got like a steady presence.
She doesn't strike you as someone who, her personality, and maybe this translates to how
people might perceive her gameplay.
She's not going to rock the boat too much.
And then she comes in and she's like,
oh, you cut yourself?
Like, you put this fruit on your leg and you'll feel.
But it's like, yeah, I'm going to keep that around.
Like, why would I ever target her early in the game?
I wish she was there when Rob, I guess Rodgis was there
when Rob messed up his foot.
So Rob could have had all the medicine he needed and still left the game.
But, you know, Kristen's definitely just like a great present.
And also, I think.
She's in a unique position, right, where she's coming to this new tribe as the sole member of her tribe with a bunch of Toka members.
I mean, that's kind of like swap screw 101.
And I feel like she's handling it well where she goes in.
She's sort of evaluating like, what are the dynamics of this tribe?
Let me identify some cracks before I try to, you know, rock the boat and get too chaotic here.
Yeah, she's going in there smooth.
She's going in there real smooth, showing that she can.
help out, showing her utility, and not trying anything too much too early.
And I'm curious because, you know, both of you guys have gone through your fair share swaps.
In a situation like this, and I don't know the frequency with which you've like been in the
minority on these swaps, but you come in, you're in the minority.
And it's three tribes.
So it's like, okay, maybe only one of us are going to go to tribal, you know, this episode.
What's the balance of like trying to create wedges and create opportunities and cracks in case you go to a tribal versus like let me just integrate first before I try to shake things up?
Like how long do you spend integrating before you try to change things around a little bit?
Yeah, I think you have to read the room because integrating has to happen.
You have to make friends.
And I think that like on my tribe swap, right, Camilla, we go down, what, three, two.
It's Shaheen, Joe, and Thomas.
And you immediately can tell Joe has a presence in that group.
But like, you could tell they're tight.
But you can also tell that like competition was their team, right?
Like, let's, we have to win these challenges.
We don't want to be in that position, this and that.
So I knew from the jump, if I went and talked to Joe about game in the beginning, he's going to be upset about.
like why are we even thinking about that?
Why are we not thinking about winning this challenge?
And so that's kind of that.
So to me,
in that situation,
I'm like,
we have to integrate.
We have to make friendships.
We have to make relationships.
Because it's not even about just making it past that next tribal.
It's like,
I need to make it past this next tribal and still have a relationship with these people.
Otherwise,
my game is tank.
So I'm always going to be,
though,
on the side of like integrate,
make friends,
like,
and then and then try to try to make some moves.
Because then people will be like,
why, where was this before?
Like, where was our relationship?
How can I trust?
Totally.
What do you think, when?
Well, I mean, our games are very similar.
You and I are very similar, okay?
And our games are very similar.
Now, in the new era, you probably have less time than back when I played to do whatever
you want to do, whether it's drive a wedge or integrate.
But my game is about, my game primarily first is always about making these relationships
with people.
So I'm trying to integrate.
great or establish these connections before I want to drive a wedge.
And I think fortunately on a lot of my swaps,
I was either in a majority of the people that came over or,
yeah, or we're just a strong, a very strong tribe and probably going to do well.
So I haven't, I don't think I've been really swapped screwed in my two seasons.
But I think I would always first try to just try to,
make connections and
and get in where I fit in
so that I can kind of peep
where this wedge might be
or where I need to,
if I need to make something happen.
Jack, to me, it's like a party, Jack.
Like honestly, like, it's like,
yo, you're linking with one of your friends
and they're like, hey, I wanted my boys
store house party. Like, or like, we have something,
like, come on, you don't know anybody.
It's like, you can't come into that situation
just trying to be the main attraction in the room.
Like you want to find a circle of people who like,
you got to get comfortable and like find the person who you can connect with
and then like see how the night sort of unfolds from there.
And I feel as if you see so many people come in and just try to wear the cracks at.
Where's the, what's the next thing?
Where's the, like it's like you got to slow it down a little bit.
Yeah.
No, I think that's a great analogy.
And yeah, like a party situation where maybe you,
you're with one friend and you're trying to meet everybody else.
You don't want to come in and try to be the main character.
But I've also heard in those situations sometimes,
I feel like I saw some about this recently.
It's sort of like,
the way that you present like the first five or ten minutes is kind of going to be your five of the night.
Where if you're coming in and you immediately go shake everybody's hand
and introduce yourself and you have good energy,
you're going to be,
you know,
charismatic that whole night.
Whereas if the first five minutes you're kind of just like with your friend
hanging back,
it's hard to then like an hour and be like,
like, oh, by the way, like I'm Jack. Sorry, I was like a little nervous earlier.
So I don't know how that would translate to a tribe swap, but I think maybe that
a similar sentiment coming in, just bringing good energy off rip. Do you guys feel like in that
situation, say you integrate well, do you start then trying to create those wedges
before you go to a tribal council to sort of show like, hey, I'm ready to play ball?
or do you wait until you go to tribal
so that you're not like
preemptively rocking the boat?
I think it depends on how tight you get with someone.
I think like if you find someone
that's like, man, this is my person,
then you might be willing to share a little bit more.
But that could be a dangerous
and a slippery slope if you're in there.
You just got in with some people
and now you're trying to, you know,
make something shake.
Yeah.
I think you,
I think it's like to make a move
or to make,
to make cracks, it doesn't always have to be targeting somebody.
It can just be upping your stock with that person to Windows Point that you're connecting
with, even more, right?
Like, I feel as if Kilby had that confessional about, like, you know, being negative
with other people will, you know, build bonds.
And sometimes that's correct.
You can complain about the situation that you're in.
But I think when you take it too far and you complain about a specific person,
it might bite you in the butt.
And so my on the on the far other end of that, I think it's like being positive with somebody
being like, hey, like, I don't really know what the hell's going on right now, but I rock
with you.
And like, and like, listen, man, like, I'm not even trying to talk about the game right now.
I'm just trying to talk about you and me.
Like, let's lock in together and figure that out.
And like, I get you might have something else going on, but just like, see me and know that
I'm with you.
And like, I think that's the way to do it because you never know.
You thought a name.
Somebody, they might just go.
tell immediately. Jenna loved Alexis.
But the moment she brought up the Devin stuff, she went back.
She was like, I got information. It's too good not to use.
And so that's my, that's my take on it.
That's a great point because partly too, I think the whole overarching vibe of like going
and integrating more so than trying to create cracks fits in sort of the way that I
viewed the pre-merge strategically of, to me, there's sort of a, it's kind of a weird
balance because I think there's moments in Survivor where you might make a move that could
theoretically help you short term but really tank your stock long term. And obviously a lot of
it is about surviving day to day where you sometimes you need to make those sacrifices to survive
in the short term. But sometimes holding those short term moves back a little bit to help your long term
might hurt your short term trajectory but really help your long term like equity. And I think
that if you come in and you try to play super chaotic or create
wedges, like, sure, there's a world where it might help you in a swap situation to survive
a little bit longer. But then, again, I think my whole MO pre-merge is you want to maximize
your overall relationships to come into the merge with as many positive connections as possible.
So if you're coming in and immediately creating chaos, like that's going to be, even if it works
and gets you a little farther, that's going to be your image going forward. And you're probably
going to have more enemies than allies, which I think long term kind of hurts.
Yeah, I agree. I think.
too, it's like, it's just, do you want to win or do you want to make another day? And sometimes
those judgment calls are really tough because of course you need to keep on making it through these
votes to get there. But like, I do think there's a, there's a chance too with your image,
how people view you. Like, even if you get to the end, you might not have a chance to win
because of the way that you were playing early on in the game. And so I think that like,
it's a fine balance, but you have to be thinking about that win the entire time. I was telling
this story last week. Like, after I played my idol on that tribe swap,
I was cursing up a storm.
I mean, my confessionals were basically unusable at night afterwards because I was
pissed because I was like, I just blew my chance at winning this thing.
Because who is going to want to continue to play with me after this idol play?
But to my credit, to Camilla's credit, our relationship that we built with Joe and Shaheen
before that allowed us to mend it after the fact, right?
And so I think it's exactly to your question is like, you have to build those relationships
first because at the end of the day, you can weather those storms.
with people, like, if you do it the right way.
Especially given you were in a spot where, like, yeah, you double-crossed, I guess,
a Thomas, but it's like, that was the position you and Camillo, like, were forced into, you
know, it wasn't, you went out of your way to, like, really screw someone over.
Like, it's one of those things you have a good relationship with Shaheen and Joe.
It's like, of course you're going to play the idol, you know, like, you're able to amend that.
But I think it was a great point of, like, sometimes, I think a lot of players associate
if I'm making another day, that is me helping my stock of winning.
But sometimes if you're making moves just to make it a day,
that I think that could hurt your odds of winning if you go about it a certain way.
Yeah, you think short term.
Yeah, you're thinking short term instead of long term for short.

Who do you think has the best
chance of winning right now?
Like, genuinely.
It's a good question.
And it doesn't have to be based off the edit.
Or it could be, like, you know, you could give it
edit answer you could give a like I think this person's on the track right now I try not to read
overly into the edit I mean obviously the factors of like you you kind of are going to see
someone if they got a good shot to win but I'm not into like the whole edjic of like they're
specifically positive you know off the top of my head I'd say like a charonda honestly like
I think the helicopter alliance is a good setup and one of those things from that first episode
of the relationships built on that because
before the tribes get broken up.
This is the one that we have seen to be beneficial to people.
And I think she's just got like a lot of poise and she's intelligent and social.
And not like I think or he has a lot of the same qualities,
but he's six three in a former NFL player,
which I think puts a target on your back.
That makes it a little more difficult.
So I'd say like a charonda comes to mind.
I think even like a Tiana-on,
like I've really liked what we were seeing from her recently.
And even edit-wise,
we've seen in recent seasons,
like people that do have,
I think long-term winter equity,
not always now getting like immediate,
like I think of a Genevieve like in 47.
Like obviously she didn't go on a win,
but she was really under-edited
in the first few episodes and then like really had an emergence
as a great player.
So,
and maybe even like a Carter.
I got it.
It's kind of crazy,
but I like where his,
he's a little all over,
but like I like where his head's at
and he seems to be on the right track.
in Lewis, I guess, sort of in proxy to that.
I don't have any winner picks right now.
My preseason one, I think when we were on the pot,
I think it was Mike Penske.
I think it was Pat.
It was Pat?
Not mine.
One of us, oh yeah, maybe I picked Jelly and then someone picked Pat,
and then I think maybe you were last and you picked Mike.
Yeah, I think I picked Mike.
But I like your Sharonda thing because she's not with the helicopter lines right now,
but she's tight with them.
And that's going to allow her to keep working things over here
so that if she makes it to the merge,
if some of the helicopters make it to the merge,
now she has many more connections.
And I could see that,
I could see that,
I could see that doing something.
Yeah.
And that kind of, like,
when you look at the swaps,
it's like,
I'm sure she wishes she had those people with her.
But it's like,
if she makes it to emerge,
assuming she,
you know,
survives this,
tribe. She's got new relationships on this tribe. And then you got a group of people from another
tribe that are not going to target you either. It's like kind of a good, you're able to spread your
wings a little bit wider. It's a good setup. What were you going to say, Kyle? Yeah, I agree.
I'm lagging a little bit, so hopefully y'all can hear me. But I think that Sharonda is is at the top
of my list because of the reasons that y'all said. And then I would go Lewis because I think that
Lewis is also kind of in like a interesting position where he has agency,
but people don't really look at him as like a threat or a target.
And he seems very likable.
And even him being sick,
a lot of people,
a lot of people get that like sick episode and like he's lying down in the boat
and like you get a lot of shit talk about it.
Like I don't care if you're sick or not.
Like you need to be up and doing stuff.
He didn't get that.
People actually genuinely felt bad for him.
And that's a really good sign to me because they seem to like him.
And then my third would be jelly.
I think that jelly, I think that to be a winner, you have to be able to build relationships
and you have to have a couple of skate patches.
Like somehow you need to be able to get yourself out of a bind with a little bit of luck
and a little bit of skill every now.
And then I think that jelly clearly is a physical threat.
And I also think she has like the sort of initiative to go find idols and do things.
Like she's already proven that.
And so like she seems to me like somebody who will be able to get out of situation.
and build relationships at the same time.
I think that's really big.
Fellas, I actually got a jump.
I am so sorry, man.
I love talking.
I'm going to come back on.
Oh, you're good.
You got our number anytime, man.
Anytime you text, I'll make sure we get you on the pod.
Thank you for coming out, brother.
Thank you so much.
It was great to have.
Great having you, Kyle.
That was great.
Peace.
We'll catch you soon, brother.
Yes, sir.
See, Kyle.
So, sorry, for the listeners, Bryce, I think, had to take a quick call, but he will be back.
But it's just me and Wendell right now.
Should we talk about the challenge a little bit?
I mean, that was kind of a fun one in it.
I think they ran that in the beginning of Kageon, something like that, with them throwing the water buckets.
Yeah, Bryce said he competed in that challenge.
Yeah.
I don't know if that's true or not because of how.
I think it is.
Yeah?
Okay.
Yeah, that's a fun one.
You got to figure out how to throw the water.
and how to receive it.
And yeah, it was cool to watch.
There was a learning curve.
And I think I remember seeing Carter say,
give a demonstration of how to throw the water.
Yeah.
Like, this is how you do it.
Throw it straight.
Yeah, he was on his post at the bottom,
like giving a lesson in the middle of the challenge.
And I like the learning curve.
I like, I think there is a really good element of like teamwork,
but it also is it exposed.
If someone really is,
getting it, it kind of exposes that person specifically, which, I mean, if you're a participant
is a little tough, but I think as a viewer, it's like, oh, this could add some heat to them
just not be able to figure it out, which is so random too, because it's like, all right,
you're throwing buckets of water. Like, that doesn't have to be your strong suit to be
an asset to your tribe. And then I thought the maze at the end was kind of interesting too,
where at first, you know, those typically are fairly simple because you're kind of just working
from the inside to the outside.
But I like that.
It's like, okay, you get to the outside pretty quick.
Then you got to work back in, back out.
And then at the end, there's this one spot where, like, this maze wasn't so much of, like,
a puzzle per se, but it's, at that point, it took, like, some finesse and some teamwork.
And then at the end, it was interesting.
The second place tribe, like, missed the bucket.
And Proves was like, and it falls down.
But y'all are good because it's like, it's.
At the watch party, everyone was like, oh!
And they was like, but don't worry, y'all are good because you got it through the maze.
That was interesting.
I feel like I think Bryce had some hot takes about that.
I don't know.
I don't know how I felt about that.
What do you think?
I mean, I think the bucket was obviously just sort of for like dramatic effect.
But it's like if you know, like it is a, there is, I didn't think they were expecting them to miss the bucket, obviously.
Right.
But if you know that there's a possibility.
that they do,
it's sort of like maybe just
like either just like make the bucket
a lot bigger just to make sure
that you don't have that like awkward moment.
And you know,
if I was on the last place tribe,
it doesn't seem like anyone made a fuss.
I don't think in that actual situation
you would want to be the one to make a fuss.
But I definitely probably to my tribe mates,
I'd be like, they didn't even land in the bucket.
Like Jeff said you had to land in the bucket.
So I thought it was just a little
ridiculous that it happened
but I obviously don't think
that Jeff should be like
you guys gotta start again
like I feel like that would be a little bit crazier
so yeah I agree
think the right right judgment call
I thought um I thought
the tribe that lost was gonna perform a lot better
and I thought the tribe that got first
you know no shade to them I thought they were
I mean I think one of them even were like
I think one of them was like we
we're a little worried about our
I think it was Eric was like where I'm worried about our tribe's
strength, right? They kind of got like
a nerdier group.
Like it worked out.
It worked out.
And yeah,
I thought that was
yeah. And speaking of that
group, I mean, this Eric
Kilby connection comes out
hard.
You see the other original
what's the, Sabu, is it?
Savu? Sabu.
The Purple tribe.
You see like Lanaya
and Christian and Sharonda
are sort of like, are we still good?
And Eric's like, absolutely.
And it seems like they do take him at face value for that
because, I mean, he was a pretty loyal asset to them early on.
And I guess to Kyle's point, and I mentioned Lewis,
I think he's got what it takes as a player to win,
but this is a tough swap for him, I think,
where Kilby immediately is integrated.
And he's not one.
Also, being from Toka, the majority,
it's, I think, tougher than coming from South
Sabu, where you've got fewer numbers, where Toka's got, at this point, 10 people still.
Sabu, this is the one tribe that have a majority.
It's sort of like, we do need to take a shot at Toka.
Kilby's kind of worked his way in.
Lewis could be a target kind of against his own, like through no fault of his own.
But Bryce, you're back.
I am.
We did just talk a little bit about the challenge, which I know you ran something similar
in Kagaana.
I love to hear your thoughts about it.
I mean, not too much.
But as I was watching this, I said, this challenge looked real familiar.
And I had to go back and shout out to my girl Jatia because she was in Chicago with us last week.
And Jatia says, this is the first, this is the only challenge we won.
And it got me to think it.
And I said, well, yeah, this is the only challenge I lost.
So yeah, your baby boy was right out there catching them.
Buckets.
And K, see Uncle Cliff and Woo, but yeah, I loved that challenge.
Look at you.
See Uncle Cliff and Bryce over there.
Crazy.
R-I-P to Uncle Cliff.
But I heard you talking about Kilby and Lewis.
Random thing for me, I know Lewis was like not feeling well and like kind of like
dipped out a little bit.
Now I'm crazy.
You know I'm crazy.
in my mind, I was like
Lewis's best comeback
is when he's going for a while
and then reenters the tribe.
And so I was thinking like,
obviously I know he's not faking it,
but I mean, you never know.
But like him kind of exiting a little bit
and letting things go on,
I think it's, what do they call it,
tried and true?
Yeah.
It's a tried and true strategy.
It's a tried and true strategy.
It's a tried and true strategy to Lewis.
I don't know, Christ.
I mean, Lewis came back with a vengeance.
So, but also, when we're talking about Kilby, was it just me?
Or when Kilby came back from that tribal, he seemed different.
Like that, I said it before when Kyle was here, he seemed different.
Like, when he, like, he kind of was calling shit out a little bit more.
Yes.
Like he would like when he said to Jeff, bro, I said, what the hell is going on?
Uh, Kilby?
He said him, him, him, him, her and him tried to vote me out.
Yeah.
I said, oh my God.
He's time.
I guess he says it's time to put his foot on a guess.
And I'm not mad.
He's kind of an agent of chaos.
For sure.
Yeah.
he's yeah i'm i'm enjoying watching him but like this man is devious he's got it in him
yeah he's interesting too because i don't and killby for those who don't know you are you
are you guys yeah yeah killby played like a lot like the one of those live seasons of sequester
a long time ago so i was familiar with his work from that and he definitely is an agent of chaos
And it's interesting with some of these conversations where he's talking about like,
they're kind of bullies.
They're kind of like making me feel less than.
I don't, like, I think that comes from a place of authenticity that he is feeling that way.
But we also kind of know Kilby's weaponizing that a little bit for his own game,
which creates a very like interesting line to me, like, I guess about around like morals and
survivor and sort of like what's fair play and what's not and I guess to me it's all sort of
fair play but it is setting him up maybe a little bit of like on this swap tribe it's really
easy to be like when they're not there like oh they were all bullying me all that and it's
again fair play good strategy to win people over it will be interesting to see later on
if it comes to a head of like kilby's with these people again and words getting out
Kilby saying everyone, like, that could be, because it's like, they weren't necessarily the most nice to him.
I don't know from what we've seen if they were like bullying him.
And at the same time, Kilby's the one, and again, I like it because it's like really complex.
Kilby's the one being like hanging out with Brady's like giving your cousin a controller that's not plugged in.
I'm kind of a mean thing to say.
So Kilby is like dishing it out.
And Brady is hurt.
Yeah, but Kilby's like, I think Kilby knows what he's doing.
all gameplay.
And to him, he doesn't, it's game.
Like, he doesn't draw that line and I respect that.
But it is complicated.
Like, it's a little bit villainous and a little bit evil, but it's fun to me.
And I love that.
And you can see where it goes.
And that's what I'm saying.
Like, when Kilby got back from that tribal, he seemed different.
And I don't know if it was just me, but when him and Eric linked up and I was watching
Kilby's face. And mind you, I can't watch
Kilby's face and listen to what he says
because like some of his, he's like me. His facial
expressions are a lot, but
what he's saying is different. When he first started
linking up with Eric, I was like, oh,
Kilby isn't buying this.
But I didn't, I didn't think that Kilby
would lock in so much. It wasn't until
Kilby started curling
his hair. And you know,
I was like, oh, they're
really locked in. But I do
also wonder where Kilby has had
And why I like Eric and Kilby, because Eric's kind of had his back against the wall a little bit.
I don't feel like as much as Kilby.
But Eric is, Eric is me and Kilby is Ori ory ory ory is David.
Eric is all over them.
Okay.
I've never, also, Wendell and Jack, right hand up.
What do we do?
Right hand up.
I, Wendell Jack.
I, Jack.
Hey, Wendell.
Watch Survivor Season 51.
Watch Survivor Season 51.
And we will take the Eric Oath.
What's the Eric Oath?
I can't swear.
We will take the Eric Oath.
We will take the Eric Oath.
And engaging in brohugs.
Okay.
And engaging in brohugs.
Okay.
I said, I like this brohug.
Ori, where are you in?
You can't weaponize the brohugs trying to get more out of it.
Cheerfully delightful.
I got some pepto.
You want some pepto.
Pepto?
Oh, oh, because he's feeling, okay, okay.
I thought you would read that was like an Irish dish.
I got some pepto bit more for you.
Guaranteed to make your stomach go, ooh.
It's like a lucky charm.
You'll get rich of him quickly.
But I was like, I just, I love Eric.
And I love like the bro hug.
But I am wondering where Kilby is activated now.
And we see how much Eric is loving on Kilby that he got people like Sharad to be like, come here.
Come here.
Don't forget about Gina.
Okay.
Come here, no boy.
come here.
Is we good?
Eric's like,
why wouldn't we be good?
Charada like,
I see what you know.
We're good.
Yes.
Yeah.
It's funny because like this genuinely may have happened.
I could see Eric and Kilby like hanging out at a Bryce and went and becoming best friends.
You know what I mean?
Like it felt like that energy.
Because I know they were both in the reality like fandom beforehand, you know,
with Kilby doing like sequester and things like that.
Eric was a, Bryson Wynne presents family members.
So therapist.
Jack, we met you in a band for myself, Africa.
Like, anything is possible.
But to my question is, I think that with people like Sharonda,
and we know Sharonda is a heavy hitter, right?
We know she is connected.
She's like, there could be a point where, like,
Eric could be potentially somebody there like,
oh, he's, and I could see
Kilby getting on board.
With taking out an era.
Where he's like in self-preservation.
It is funny you clocked it too where
it read to me like
Kilby and Eric became fast friends
and then, or it's like, you know,
maybe you meet someone out at a bar and you like really hit it off.
But then the next day they're texting you like every five minutes.
And you're like,
uh, you know,
Let's slow it down a little bit.
Right.
Time out.
Time out.
Because that's how me and Wendo became friends.
Well, sometimes it's mutual.
And that's what you know it's really real.
But, you know, you're out of the bar.
You meet the next morning.
It's like five, five.
What are you up to?
How I knew Wendo and I were going to be friends when we started texting,
the text chain never really ended.
Like, we kept texting and we kept texting.
kept texting and how I knew I locked window in and how I knew window was old.
We were, I believe I was in like.
It was old.
Yes.
I mentioned nine years ago.
I was in Iceland and I think the cast of Window dropped and I like, I remember my text.
I was like, you're famous now.
And Wendell was like, oh, ha, ha, ha.
And we started texting.
And how I knew I locked window in, he going to text me.
Be right back.
got to get something from the car.
I was like,
I didn't text you,
you absolutely did.
You were like,
be right back.
Gotta get something from the car.
I'm like,
who writes that in a text
that?
Like,
I don't know what you're doing.
Yeah,
you can just text me in two minutes.
Like,
you get this up from the car.
And Jack,
I'm not lying.
He wrote back.
I said,
no,
I didn't write back
and I didn't write back.
And I didn't write back.
Like, also one was like, all right, I got to grab someone from the car.
Better leave my phone here for a second.
Can't take that with me.
One of it was probably on one of the, like the, what is it, the rotary phones.
Can't unplug this.
It's not going to work.
That is not a lie.
I remember being like, who says that?
And then he wrote back back.
And I was like, I guess the,
okay.
How does it feel for your cast to be live?
It's great.
I love it.
Well, Bryce was never like, what did you get from the car?
Are we done the Wendell segment now?
Can we continue on Survivor News, please?
Be right back.
Hold music.
Not exactly what you want to hear when a pipe just burst in your basement is flooding.
And your vinyl collection.
is getting soaked.
And your cat just floated by on a sofa cushion?

Millions of people win with OLG.
Over 200 million wins last year alone.
Common side effects of winning with OLG?
Shock, disbelief, no way.
And laughter.
It's what happened to Tristan from Hamilton when he won the $1 million lotto 649 gold ball draw.
Shock and all, all on his lunch break.
Play at olg.com and the next person sitting stunned in the break room could be you.
With OLG winning happens here.
Winner, Gagnon.
This is an interesting, interesting group.
And we were saying, Bryce, I think Eric himself was like, I'm a little worried about.
us in challenges, but they
crushed that challenge. They did.
They killed it. I was
surprised. I was thinking
that the Purple Tribe, I thought that they
would kill it.
But I was like, oh,
this will be interesting
with Jenna,
Alexis, Devin,
Ori, and Jelly
now having to go to
tribal and seeing what that's going to look
like.
what were your thoughts on
everybody's play?
Now, I have some strong thoughts.
I've got two strong thoughts.
I don't know if I want to, okay.
Two of my thoughts are.
Ory,
Lord knows I love him.
But I,
he didn't do anything wrong.
But I think at one point in time,
I'm not sure.
if it was Jenna that came to him or for it was,
I think it was Alexis and essentially like,
what are we going to do?
And then in Ori's confessional,
or he was like,
well,
I'm with the helicopters.
And if you got a problem with Devon and you got a problem with jelly,
you got a problem with me.
And now I love that.
Love, love, love, love that.
Because it's like he's loyal.
But it,
in my mind,
I was like,
oh,
does that football world, just that locker room,
just where they be naked in the showers,
dapping each other up.
I'd like to see what that looks like.
But this is that like,
one for all, all for one.
Let it hang.
What?
That has nothing to do with anything.
It does.
It does.
I mean, the football team analogy I get,
but there's the other aspects of it.
I don't think are relevant here.
It's a bonding.
Okay.
Anyway, but this is where I was like, oh,
because, and don't get me wrong, like,
Ori is solid.
Like, he's solid as a rock,
and I ain't a sociology professor.
But I almost am like,
is he too loyal?
Oh, really?
That's where I started to,
because I was just like,
Oh, yeah, if they got a, because somebody got a problem with Jack and when DZ.
Bryce don't care.
I'm going to say what fun.
Bryce is still in their likes and their comments and their DMs.
Bryce don't care.
Here he go.
But no, I just, I only say that because in his confessional, he said it so strong.
And I'm like, oh, he's solid.
But we see even with Jelly and Devin,
like Jelly shared she had an idol with Pat.
We see Devin got in roles with Bro.
Like it just made me feel like,
oh, will Ori be so locked in that when it's time,
because if you want to go to the end and win,
you're going to have to, you're going to have to clock.
And so I just was like, ugh.
I, interesting.
I thought Ori had a great episode.
I get your point, though, of like,
you don't want to be the part of this bigger alliance
where you're the loyal one allowing the others to have options.
But for me, I felt like, A, we did see him say that about Jenna.
And I do understand your point of like maybe he could do a little bit more feeling out on his own of that situation.
But in this tribe structure for Ori,
Jedda is the clear target.
So whether it's like,
to frame it like it's like a Devin Jelly problem,
I don't mind because it's like,
even if it wasn't,
if I'm Ori,
that's who I want out.
And I also,
we see him vouching.
Alexis,
I thought this whole episode was sort of working against herself,
right?
Because Ori with Devin and Jelly have control.
Ori is vouching for Alexis.
and Jenna is a clear target to Devin and Jelly.
And obviously, Ori and Jenna or Alexis want a Jenna out.
And so Jenna to me is a clear target here.
Alexis is doing all these kind of some shenanigans, like asking for collateral.
Now, again, I don't mind her.
Like, she has to fight a little bit.
But I think the route for her to go is to, like, rather than work Jenna against the others,
obviously she might not know about this helicopter alliance,
but like or he seems pretty steady.
Like or he's not going to flip on jelly and Devin.
So to me,
Alexis is like you got dealt a little bit of a bad hand here,
but just get in where you fit in,
get on board with taking you out of Jenna
rather than going to Jenna and spewing a bunch of chaotic,
um,
like rhetoric and asking for things like shoes and things like that.
But I think Alexis really works against herself and we see ori ultimately get his way
of like Alexis is my girl.
Like she's good people.
or he's like hey I'm with you jelly and Devin like and I believe that ori if they go to travel again
I think he will stick with them but I like that he's like all right let me keep my person around
one more time and he got his way you know so he went with like they easily could have taken out
in Alexis against or he's will but ultimately this was ori's call and it was him protecting one of his
other people um true so I like that the perception is that he's going with that flow but we see here
he's not afraid to be like, let's keep Alexis, and he gets his way.
So two things, right?
You're right.
He absolutely.
And even the way he presented it that we saw to Alexis, he's like, well, this is what
they want.
I'm with you.
And so, right.
Or he did the correct thing.
My thing was just in the confessional where I feel like we're getting his honest
thoughts.
And I'm like, oh, I don't know.
So that's my only thing.
Like, that's just my like, that's so Reagan's.
sense.
Alexis in this sense, I feel like,
I have to disagree with you.
I feel like Ms. Mama's
did what needed to be done.
I think she got on that tribe and said,
oh shit, all three of them were on the same tribe.
I'm sure they could flip a ori,
and I'm done.
I think Alexis sold seeds of doubt
every which way she could.
Because at one minute, she's telling Jenna,
They ain't with you,
they ain't with you.
The next minute, she like,
well, what can we do?
She going to jelly and death.
Like, I feel like,
I feel like Alexis was like,
oh shit,
I'm going home.
And I felt like Alexis was like,
let me play every,
first of all,
plug my controller in.
Okay.
They plugged her controller in,
and I felt like she was playing
every aspect.
Now, the best move, no.
But think about it
from this perspective, Jack.
If you get on this tribe
and you know for sure you going home.
Would you still, like, would you not, like, let me press whatever button I can press
and see if I can make something shape?
Yes, but to me, I think with the layout of the shot,
and obviously Alexis might not be privy to all the inner workings.
I think Alexis could have sat on that beach and said five words and not done anything,
and she'd still be all right.
you know so like because i think ori was going to ride for her regardless i think jellie and
devon were gonna like jelly and devon had we're thinking about not doing that because of
alexis's antics whereas to me if i'm alexis again once you sort of get the read that ory's
with a jelly and a devon i feel like most of what she the moving and shaking she did was with a
jena who is not in a position to do anything the move to me is like
Okay, ori has a good relationship with Jelly with Devin.
Devin and Jelly don't really like Jenna.
This helicopter crew is going to control this vote one way or another.
So rather than have it be a, like, right now it seems like it would be a Jenna.
So let me not give them reasons to make it me.
Let me just get in good with them and be like, this is the four.
We'll take out Jenna.
We'll be cool.
And look, if they go to travel again, Alexis is cooked.
But that's going to happen regardless.
So you might as well try to set yourself up
where if there's a swap
or if you guys don't,
if they don't lose again and they make it to emerge,
now you're like,
have some semblance of an alliance with Jellie and with Devin
and with Ory.
Whereas right now I feel like if that happens,
Jelly and Devin are going to be like,
Alexis is just an Ori number.
She's chaotic.
She's disposable.
But see, I got to disagree
because I feel like just from my perspective
of watching us on the plane,
Alexis has spent more time with
ori. So I think Alexis feels like
it's her and Ori and I feel like she's
out here doing the bidding and so
like she's presenting it like
listen, hey Jenna
you want to swing my way
Devin and like so again that's why I'm saying
where I feel like she feels like it definitely could be
her but I definitely feel like she's locked
in with Ori and so she's pitching
those two votes in which way.
Well that is so fair is that
in Alexis's mind
it's her and Ori and
And if she could swing just Jenna.
But, but, and like, she doesn't know about this secret alliance.
Right.
But the fact of the matter is it exists.
And so her read ultimately is incorrect where Jenna is not the one.
Now, I think I could be in her shoes too and not knowing about this preexisting alliance.
You would do the same.
Yeah.
You would do basically the same.
Although, again, in that situation, swinging Jenna great being like, yo, give me your shoes if you're with me.
Not the move.
Not the move.
I know.
Jack,
that's a harder way.
I want the comments to say,
well,
you didn't left for 10 minutes
and you can't.
Listen,
I was like,
Caud and I missed the boat.
I liked that.
I liked it that.
Because I...
That's what you can't.
So in my mind,
so when I saw that,
I was like,
oh,
Alexis has a better read
than I think the edit is
revealing because I felt like
Alexis is like,
I feel like they already knew
that Jenna was going
go home and I felt like Alexis was playing
with her. And because
really? Listen, yes, because
Eric was willing to give Rob his
shot in the dark. Like, and if Jenna,
you really feel this unsure, girl,
take my shoes.
Take them. Well,
to me, it's like either
either this is
Alexis not being sure
and she's trying to swing over in Jenna.
And if you're the one pursuing,
like if you came to me and you were
thought you were on the bottom and I'm
the swing vote and you're like, yo, Jack, if you want to work with me, you've got to give me your shoes.
I'd be like, you can fuck off.
That's why I like Alexis.
She was coming.
But if Alexis, like you said, maybe at this point thought Jenna was going home, shot in the dark I kind of get.
But like the shoes, are they even, you know, are they the same side?
Maybe like it's, is this a Natalie jacket situation?
But like to vote someone out and then you pull up to the challenge, I get what it's like in their shirt or their jacket, but you pull up in their kicks.
It's crazy.
Drop them draws, bro.
Drop them draws.
Yeah, Bryce would be like,
ori, if you want to work with me,
you gotta give me your underwear.
I'll turn around.
Bryce would have a new buff.
There's a fourth swap job.
It's just Bryce wearing everyone's underwear.
It's the open era.
Right.
They dropped the bus.
They dropped the buffs.
They dropped the bus and Rice is sniffing around on the beach.
Jack, we could trust or he.
He's going to vote with us.
You can trust him.
He's going hard for us.
You can trust him.
Orie is never
going to come to another event
tomorrow's ever again.
We already locked in it,
and all bad.
Yeah.
Devin too.
Devin, you want my vote?
Devin!
Bryce is that tribal
underwear on the head.
He's like, well, I don't know where
or he's voting.
Orie blindsides him.
and Bryce is like, come on, man.
Jack, we got the majority.
Wendyzie, Devin and Orias solid.
Jack got to go.
We got the votes.
We got the vote.
We don't need to do nothing else.
Bryce is going to, every time he votes someone out.
He, like, adds a trophy to his collection,
but it's just a pair there underwear.
and you're at Final Travel Counsel,
second chances too,
wearing like 12 pairs of underwear.
I ain't doing your resume's right.
What's them draws count?
Talk about your survivor resume.
You're like, well, I got a lot of boxers,
but I need some briefs.
This is ori.
Okay, put your draws away.
Get your draws out of here.
This is unhinged.
Crazy.
I'm crying.
Where were you?
Drop them drawers.
But,
I had to see.
Sorry, I'm just.
I'm just imagining Jeff out of SWAT.
Be like, everybody, drop your draws.
Can I trust you, Jeff?
Leave Jeff out of it.
Leave Jeff at his draws out of it.
Rob is like Carter before I go.
I want you to have something.
My underwear.
Might be infected.
Y'all are fools.
All right, boiling onions.
What's going on?
Okay.
How with Jenna going home,
do we feel like,
how do we feel like Alexis feels safe?
Do we feel like,
What do we?
I mean, she should not.
But this is a strong tribe.
Like, again, I think in the preview they said two tribes going to tribal, which is dangerous.
But like, this tribe should be able to do better than they did in that challenge.
Yeah.
But I feel like if you're on this tribe, even if you don't know about the helicopter alliance, you see like if your guy is Ori.
but now you see Ory
like
Flirty
Jelly dynamic
and you know
Jelly and
Devon are close
like
if you're Alexis
you gotta just
you gotta just be like
what's
what's really good
over there
yeah
like Ory's not gonna go
to rocks for you
you know what I mean
unless he gives you
his underwear
unless he gives you his draws
yeah
we already was at rocks
so it's interesting
to see what will happen now, right?
Because now we have a tribe before.
And so now at every challenge, these tribes are going to have to sit people out.
And so it does make the question like, will they go back to two tribes?
Will we see the one world thing?
I am super excited to see what happens.
I know.
Can I say real, because, Bryce, you're wearing it on your head, the chicken.
They slaughtered a chicken this episode.
Oh, my God.
Well, A, the naming of the chicken was crazy from that.
But also, I was sort of like, one of y'all is about to go home, like, have the chicken after.
Because.
Right.
Because someone doesn't, someone's going to eat right after this anyways.
Don't waste the chicken.
My thing was, I know a chicken thigh, I hate to see Ori coming.
The way he was munching and killing that, that was super crazy.
crazy. But again, I just still feel like the open air is off to such a great start. And I'm invested.
I can't wait to see what happens moving forward. And so we appreciate you. I know it's been a chaotic
episode of a lot going on, but listen to Survivor News. And we appreciate you for watching listening.
We'll be back next week covering episode five. Appreciate you. Washington, D.C., Nashville, the baby
Sofi and Sam are coming.
Tickets are available. We'll be there
next week. All right, Jackery.
All right, Wendy, see. All right, Kyle.
All right. Okay.
See you, Bryce.
Thank y'all.

Not exactly what you want to hear
When a pipe just burst
And your basement is flooding
