Jackery Atkins
Wendell Holland is reporting live
from underneath a bunk bed right now
in
Classic window.
And, you know, like my godson's room, basically.
So, you know, we got a lot going on under here.
But I'm under the bunk bed, chilling at the desk, ready to go.
And as always, we've got your number one baby boy.
Was it the winner of Survivor Kagayan?
Bryce, Isaiah, Bryce, how are we doing?
Hello, Jack.
It's great to be here.
I feel like my head is spinning, but I'm good.
I'm glad to be here.
The britches are soaked.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, I'm excited.
This episode was one that we got to talk about.
100%.
What's, you sound a little different.
for tape, right? So you still a little woozy from the Atlanta watch party?
Oh, the Atlanta watch party and everything you could ever want, you know, your words have power,
kids. You talk issue on a podcast, make sure you write yourself a check. A suplex can cash,
and I just want to say, I cash them checks. Cash them. Right. He's just talking like he needs a
cigarette right now.
I need something.
No, but Atlanta was
so much fun. The
Halloween costume party,
they showed out, Jack.
Like, there were some
costumes that I was like,
wait, what are you? And then
there were some costumes that was like, whoa.
What was the split between
like survivor-related costumes
and just regular
Halloween costume? I'd say
I say 50%
Survivor.
I'd say 70%.
Well, what were some of the standouts?
We had a dark fader.
We had a
pro wrestler. We had a fish.
We had Ursula. We had Richard Hatch.
We had Boston Rob.
No, we had Atlanta Rob.
And it was a Boston Robb outfit
on a young lady with an Atlanta.
hat. She's Atlanta Rob. And we pulled her up during the costume section during the
survivor because there were various survivors, Christian Ubicki, you know, there was, you know,
various survivors. Bryce looks at Atlanta Rob and without giving, because, you know, there'd be crowd
participation like, hey, if you make the most noise, Bryce says, you played too many times, you're out.
and kicked Atlanta Rob out of the contest
without even giving her a shot.
Wow.
Bryce was ruthless.
And he was all the while,
Bryce is standing on top of a ladder
while judging this contest.
But he was just waiting to get suplexed off the ladder.
I was trying to get subtle signs.
Brady, you're in this one.
I was trying to give subtle signs.
We had Richard Hatch, a lady who designs costumes,
designs, as she does, she makes clothing.
She made what looked like a naked body on her,
but of Richard Hatch's naked body.
And it's like a body suit.
And she, like, stuck a tattoo, his tattoo from back season one on her.
We had little Kim in the building, okay?
Head to toe.
pulled up.
We had a pirate.
We had Beyonce.
We had Cisco.
We had Brady's thumb.
We had a painter.
We had someone who came in a t-shirt
that said just the tip.
And they glued a portion of a bleeding thumb to the shirt.
Jack Wendell saying somebody.
He's at that somebody's house right now.
Talk about somebody.
He was sitting underneath his son's bunk bag.
Talk about somebody, I don't know.
They had a cool costume.
It was Jim.
Bryce Isaiah was in the building, too.
What were your guys' costume?
I like Bryce to answer that first.
Well, I am one to be on theme.
So I was an alien.
Mother.
I had an alien
inside of my belly
Oh
I'm still trying to figure out the dad
But after this weekend
I might have narrowed it down
You had a firefighter
We had a fairy
When what was your costume
Bryce didn't have any costume on
He's telling us that he was impregnated by an alien right now
In Atlanta
An alien
Yeah
Yeah, well, tell them what your costume was.
I was our good, good friend of the show, friend of the pod, Quintavius, Verdet.
You didn't even have a cue skirt.
On the traders.
I had my cloak.
I had my cue hat.
And I had a whole lot of attitude.
Sure.
At least I had a costume, Bryce Isaiah.
You were impregated by an alien.
That's so cool.
We had a pro wrestler.
We had a fairy from 51 and, and we had a firefighter.
Okay.
I was trying to light fires all over that venue in Atlanta for the firefighter to put it out.
Okay.
Ori from 51 pulled up.
Okay.
Okay.
Hey.
Hey.
Leave him alone.
Hey.
He didn't have a shirt on Jack.
And so I thought it was one of them shirts that, like, have muscles on them.
So, you know, me, because I'm doing a costume, I'm judging the costumes.
So I had to make sure it was real.
Okay, Lori.
It's not coming off.
It's not coming off.
We had a doctor in the building.
He had a thesoscope.
More or less.
A thesoscope.
Okay.
Oh, so Bryce stole the thethoscope.
Soscope. Tell them what you did, Bryce.
Listen, when you become a doctor, you have to take a, you take a pragmatic oath.
You take an oath to protect and to serve.
And listen.
Oh, that's a ha.
Oh, no, wait.
Sorry, I just had a flashback real quick.
So you do take a oath to protect
and serve Jack
and let me just tell you
let me just tell you
Wendell Jerome Holland
did Dr.
Bryce Isaiah
not revive a patient
we'll talk about that late
but listen I had to make sure
Brady was okay I had to check the thumb
on three of them
and I had to make sure
that
and I had to make sure
or, you know, I had to
firefighters, I just make sure.
I'm reporting.
I report back.
You took an oath, I mean.
The pragmatic oath
to protect and serve.
Jonathan was there.
I was going to say this is a Jonathan
Young event, right?
Yes.
How did that go?
He did great.
He was really well.
And I do have to report to the posse.
You know,
back in the day we had sent him and let him know that.
You know, I was the latter.
And during that time period, you know, Mr. Jonathan, he didn't really understand, okay?
He might have turned the comments off.
He might have blocked us for a little bit, but...
What you mean us?
Us?
He ain't blocked me.
He damn sure they didn't block Jack.
He blocked us for a minute.
He blocked us for a minute.
And I was minding my business.
Like, I was keeping it very cool with Jonathan.
and say, hey, how you doing, Jonathan? Good to see you.
John, they gave me a hug. He said, brother.
I said, okay.
I'm minding my business, Jack,
taking care of my pragmatic old.
All of a sudden, I hear something
scratching across the floor.
So I turn around. What is that?
Is Jonathan standing next to the ladder
talk about, is this the ladder you was talking about?
Bryce, I said, no, Jonathan!
Hey, now.
So Atlanta was super, super fun.
We are in orbit right now with Bryce and Win 51.
We are super Jack.
Too bad you are not at the University of Chicago anymore because next week,
Chicago is going up.
Tickets is almost sold out.
First of all, Chicago don't play about Bryce and Win.
Okay.
Wendell and I, we say we're from Philadelphia,
but for real, for real, we might be from the shy
because Chicago doesn't play.
And we've got some, we got some
four special guests coming. Tickets are almost
sold out. If you want to get in on the Chicago
Fun, click the link
in our bio. From there, we'll be in D.C.
But that's not it.
Okay, we got Sophie and Sam
October 21st.
They will be in the
Nash of theville. Tickets are available.
Mr. Jonathan kicked off his tour
with us in Atlanta, November 4th.
He'll be in Knoxville,
and Knoxville is turning up and turn it out.
So we just let y'all know it's a lot going on.
San Francisco, November 11, Philadelphia, Black Friday Eve, Eve.
We're in Philly, Boston, New York.
It's a lot going on.
So we just want you all to know,
Jonathan will be in Nashville for the finale.
He'll be in Dallas.
So get in all this fun.
But listen, we got a lot to get into.
I mean, Bryce, I'm so excited for all these Nashville events.
I'm in Nashville right now.
You stay a couple of days, Jack.
Yeah, I might hang out for a while until November 4th.
Mr. Jonathan would love to see you.
Now, again, I just putting these up there so y'all can see.
But needless to say, I thought we weren't supposed to post AI, Bryce.
This ain't AI.
Let me tell you.
Okay.
The AI man is going to get in your comments and get you.
I'm just saying.
This is not AI.
I met Brody.
I was trying to be nice and polite.
Brody woke up to me and said,
where do you want to be a suplex?
I said, oh, my God.
Sir, what's going on?
Okay.
Brady said, put your leg on my thigh.
I said, you don't got to tell me twice.
Now, I don't know what happened.
A lot went on.
But, I mean, let me just tell you all this, Pasi.
Brady is, you know, y'all think Jonathan is big.
Brady is a monster.
He picked me, he picked my petite body up.
Okay, Brady said, oh, I didn't know you was so curvy.
I said, oh, it is.
Okay.
I don't know if y'all can see in that second photo.
see that hourglass, okay?
Where's your costume, Bryce?
This is how we got to the alien.
That was before you got the costume.
Yes, that was before.
Is that Noah?
Say hi to Bryce.
Hi, Bryce.
Hi, Noah.
So, yeah,
had time with Brady. Also, Alexis was there.
Super love Alexis.
She watches and listens to the show.
Alexis was cracking me up.
Alexis was like, hey, like,
who's the white guy on your show?
I said, that's Jack.
She was like, but where do I know her from?
I said, girl, surviving news.
She was like, but how do you know him?
And I don't know why, Jack,
when people ask me, how do I know you?
You know what story I'll go into.
So that's that I'm good.
I said, well, girl, listen,
Mia Winder was on a flight.
Our stomachs was rumbling.
We ran into the back.
from we came out. Jack was right there and he ain't
never left. Yeah. We were all on the flight together
for reference. It wasn't a random Vita.
What's up, Alexis? I mean, she was funny last night.
She needs a little more airtime, I think, but when she came in and just body
body checked someone in the challenge. Yes. Oh, listen.
We back to getting physical, but we can get to episode and also
just, okay, and Ori was there? We know.
I'm just saying.
You already told us, Bryce.
I just, there is
an illustrious list of
Survivor players that I have
an interesting type of relationship
with that like the only language
we speak is shit talking.
And some of the people that are in are Joe Mena,
the Wardog,
Jeremy Collins,
Q,
Charlie,
where it's like the only way we communicate is me
talk shit. And let me just tell you, I have
inducted
in
ori
into
that shit talking
alliance
because
the way I was talking
shit to
or you would think
I'm a professional
football player
even though I'm
a professional
wrestler
but listen
all right
that's enough
wait you mentioned
the war dog
I have a funny
little war dog
anecdote from this week
I was on the way
to go watch
the episode in New York
with
a bunch
with a good amount of survivors,
namely Brandon Donnellin, my guy.
Also, random, the bar was a survivor bar
and a Jacksonville Jaguars bar,
which are like my two favorite things.
So shout to St. Pat's in Midtown.
But I'm on my phone,
and I get a DM from the Wardaw,
which I look back the first time he's messaged me in six years.
And I had posted a story the night before
about this movie called The Prestige
that I just really like.
it. And Ward Dog hit me. He was like, where can I watch the movie you liked? I was like,
Netflix. And then he just gave it a thumbs up. I was like, that's what he, you hit me up about that.
Did he say Captain Jack? No. You just said like, where did you watch that movie? I'm like,
you could Google that. I mean, sounds about right. Always good to hear from the War Dog, though.
Well, for our watches and listening, it's 1643. Jack, where you want to start?
because we got a lot to get in.
Well, I feel like this episode sort of mandates jumping around a little bit because so much went down.
All I have to say is first and foremost, last week, I guess I might have had my worst, my worst take of all time.
Because last week I said Pat has given winner aura, like, I think Pat's going to make a deep run.
If she doesn't, I'm going to be shocked.
You look.
Lo of behold, I was, couldn't have been farther off.
Now, in Pat's defense, and I guess to some extent mine,
but this is really just a shout to Pat,
this is, you know, that's, I think she got extremely unlucky.
I mean, that's survivor, especially in the open era with the uncertainty.
But you think about, you know, it's a tribe of 11 now because Carter came over.
had Carter not
like had Carter not been the one
to get randomly selected to come over to
Toka and then
had he not
literally missed the boat to go back
then I think Pat was in a great spot
because you're in a what was a tribe
of 10 with a really solid
five person alliance
I don't think in that scenario that Lewis
or whoever else is really going to like
go to war to take her out
so all things consider
I just think really unlucky for Pat
but I think
think that's what I'm liking about the open era is the unpredictability.
It kind of reminds me way back when these bigger tribes allow for a lot more maneuvering.
And these early votes are sort of reminiscent of like merge votes where there's a lot of
different options.
And a tribe of six, I don't think you see a pack go out very often because she's going to
lock down her crew.
But this allows a little bit more flexibility where some good players can get taken out.
Every third boot is unlucky.
Okay.
tragic things happen, but also, one,
formally welcoming Pat into the third boot
celebration club. We love her.
But in my opinion, Pat caught a stray.
And it's a stray with we haven't seen this early
in Survivor in a long time because we haven't had such large numbers.
Pat is a casualty of a cocky, strong alliance, right?
where Pat attached herself to very strong people,
Devin, Jelly, Brady.
And when you have this alliance of five on an 11-person tribe, right,
we see that a lot of people are like they don't want to take shots at the big,
big dogs because they're like, we don't want holy hell to break out.
But when you are in the big alliance and you're not necessarily the big alliance,
then it's like, well, how can we weaken the alliance?
And so, like, I feel like she definitely is a casualty of that.
Nothing against her gameplay was like, you know, connection to the connection kind of got patted out.
And so sad to see her go, but, like, absolutely love the fact that this move was even possible
and not even seen by the major alliance.
I mean, the fact, episode three, we're getting a six to five.
blind side was like great great television but it was crazy because we see I mean
Devin was stumbling a lot this episode and it's like we the target somehow isn't on
Devin it's on Pat who from what we've seen hasn't really made any any missteps but
I guess that's also a thing about these these two tribes there's the bigger the bigger
groups you know that these and a lot of this cast has had a little bit more of like an
old school way of thinking in some senses and
So maybe they're like, we need a Devin and a Brady for challenges.
So that also changes like the criteria.
But yeah, Pat definitely caught astray, which was unfortunate.
But like that's sometimes how it goes down in the game.
And I mentioned this a bunch of times like on this podcast over the last however many seasons.
But even thinking about Coast Island when Dom and I got blindsided and Morgan went out, this was early.
This was like within the first couple episodes, they could have.
picked off any of us in our alliance, but they picked off Morgan.
And that was that shock to our system that woke me and Dom up.
And I think this is one of these shocks to this alliance, which has been feeling itself
and looking good, like, hey, welcome to Survivor.
Y'all aren't impenetrable.
Like, things can happen.
Hear me out.
Because, my, I love this and I love the alliance.
But this isn't their first shock.
Oh.
And this, for me, it's like when we lost, when we lost.
when we lost
Alia, right?
Like, this was another one
with like,
and my,
I'm so nervous
for my brother,
Dev.
Like, he is,
you're too perfect,
sir.
Like,
you are absolutely too perfect.
Like,
figure out a flaw
and fake it because.
He's not too perfect
in this game.
Well,
I think he,
he is perfect in the game
and that's what makes him
imperfect because we're not.
But this is the second time
Devin has been kind of like
Rush rushed out with the
Alea vote, right?
They didn't want her to go.
And he was somewhat, he had the majority.
And now here we are again.
He's somewhat in the majority.
And it's like, it looked like he was very close to Pat.
And so it's like, I hope he recognizes these two warning shots and like really diversify the catalog.
You've escaped two warning shots.
Now, like, you're so blessed.
tighten it up now, brother.
Like, we, Devin, we want you to win.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, tight it up.
Yeah, he did say during the episode, he was like,
if I'm in the wrong side of the vote again,
I might have to think about, like,
changing my gameplay up.
So, we're either getting set up
for like a Devin turnaround arc
or, you know,
if he continues on the path he's on,
it could get dicey.
Radical honesty.
But he is connected.
I think his connections will help him out.
But eventually, he will shine bright like a diamond.
And to us, he already is.
Now, we jumping around.
Let's jump on down to the emergency medvac we had with Rob.
Because we need to talk about Rob here because I don't know what
the hell is going on with Rob
and
this man, okay, he
got the tribal council
infection, which it happens.
You know, sometimes you go to tribal council
that infection starts to
injection and he got back.
He was sick
and he wanted to go.
I need to know what y'all think about this and
even more what y'all think about
what do y'all think about
my man and his
exit interviews, doubling the hell down.
He said, y'all, y'all wish y'all could play.
Don't come over here with me.
Y'all want me to apologize?
Apologize for what?
Okay?
He even said, y'all think he quit to go home.
He knows that when you are eliminated, you go to Ponderosa.
The fact that he knew that and didn't know that he could write his own name down
does give me a slight pause,
but I need to know y'all take on Rah.
Windezy, go ahead.
Where do I start?
I want to say that
and I've been on the receiving end of some dog piles, okay?
I have never seen such a united front of a dog pile
on someone on this show.
Like, everybody is,
United on this one from that guy, Russell, whatever, that guy.
But also, like, I see Matt Fischoff saying things.
I see everybody is saying stuff about Rob.
And so I don't want to dog pile on him and contribute to it.
But, yo, you tried to get off the island by voting yourself out.
It didn't work.
Then you talk about, oh.
then you self-diagnose with an infection all the way up your leg that is not corroborated by any doctor or props.
And you self-boot.
Like, it's an interesting thing.
I hope his leg is doing all right.
I hope they didn't have to amputate his leg.
And I'm wishing him the best.
I will not contribute to the dog filed out.
You know it's bad.
You know it's bad
When you got
Jerome
I would have won
Cooney
Cooney talking about
Take Survivor
out your buyer
He really said that in his comments
Rome wrote that in Rob's comment
And Rome meant it.
Okay.
Now, Rome
Rome ain't been
out of fire for two minutes,
okay?
You know it's bad.
I'm with Rome.
Three foot seven in all
is looking up
and say it.
Can you imagine
Jack?
He said, take Survivor
out your bio.
That's crazy.
Not to mention the cornball emoji too.
And I text Rome.
I said, what is going on?
Rome said I was I was
pissed watching that episode.
Yeah, rum doesn't play.
Rome doesn't play.
You know, you know, it's bad.
Like, you pulled up that screenshot
when you got like 150 likes, like 400 comments.
Also,
So, you know, ultimately this quit was obviously pathetic, but like I thought Rob was really hilarious.
So I could like appreciate the Rob experience from what it was.
But also like, why are you shooting your video about it like in the, the TSA tunnel?
Like he didn't win.
He got to work.
He's at work.
Clearly.
PTO time is over.
Let me just say this.
Jeff said he's never bringing back villains.
Right.
I feel like Rob was the closest thing we got to.
a villain and he unfortunately is not in the illustrious Bryce Isaiah third boot club.
I mean, he kind of is.
Well, I mean, he went out before Pat.
And when I say boot, I mean, we've had this debate about so potentially.
But what I will say is there, I, I myself am a delusional king.
Okay.
I'm impregnated with an alien, okay?
I'm a Dr. Bryce.
I love the delusion.
And I really like the fact that he's kind of standing 10 toes down.
Now, I mean, it's a little crazy.
I don't know.
Him with that video in the rain talking about they want me to apologize and I'm not.
There's something refreshing.
I don't know.
Like, again, with exit interviews, we kind of always get the same thing.
I've been enjoying it.
I mean, I'm looking at them a little crazy, but listen, rock on, brother.
Rock on.
I mean, the funniest bit was like the doctor being like, yeah, there's nothing wrong.
He's like, but you're telling me this, like, could get infected.
They're like, I mean, like, that could always happen.
He's like, there you go, guys.
I actually didn't tell you that, but you're telling the doctor that.
Oh, yeah.
Doctor's orders.
I'm saying, get my family.
Pack this shit up.
Get me out of here.
I can get hurt.
I mean, I didn't know that.
I got to go.
Jeff is shady.
When Jeff came back to that camp,
it was like, hey, you got something to tell them?
And then Jeff was like, I just want to be clear.
We absolutely do remove people from the game.
But there are instances where
people can remove themselves from the game
in fear of threat
of being sick or hurt.
Jeff was like, yo, it's him, it's not me.
The funny thing for me is, though, I went back
and watched episode two to watch them walk into Tribal.
He was walking fine.
And Jeff said, wait, did you say anything at Tribal?
No.
Does you say anything when you got cut?
No.
So you're bringing it up down.
But yeah.
One of the thing on this.
I will say when you get that punch in the face early on the show and like he tried something, the episode prior made a fool of himself, right?
So like, you know, you're feeling silly or whatever.
You can, it's good for you to then lock in, figure it out and find a way to get through and persevere and.
this game. Like, it's a better storyline if you figure it out. It's not a good storyline. If you're
looking like a fool, you're on the bottom, and then you kick yourself out of the game. It's,
it's, we want to see the Andy stories. You know what I'm saying? We want to see when Nick Wilson
even, like, when it's, it's not so good for you, but you, you, you persevere and you figure it out.
And in this case, it wasn't so good for him.
And I guess he just figured his way out.
And it didn't happen when he tried to vote himself out.
So he's like, no, I got a situation with my leg.
The only thing that kind of does, like, I feel bad for Anna, right?
Because it's like, if you were going to quit, like, it's like you could have preserved
Anna another, like to give her another opportunity.
Well, he tried to vote for himself.
he could have just
he tried to do it the honorable way
they didn't let him
crazy yeah
where
you want to go to this advantage
actually when Deasy where do you want to go
let's go to him
slide in the idol
well I mean
fine that's where do you want
go ahead
I just I have thoughts on it
that was just me in my mind
so he slid the idol the Carter right
Can I ask just one question?
I don't got my glasses, but go ahead.
Do y'all believe
he slid Carter, the idol,
or do you think maybe production gave it to him?
I only say that because we didn't see a lot of rob,
and we got a lot of him on a stretcher,
being medevac, them putting IV in them,
them giving him oxygen,
them reviving him.
We got a lot of all of that.
But like, I mean, I think I would have loved to maybe see that happen.
Well, then I think they lose the suspense of like, is he going to quit?
Like, what's going to happen?
You know what I mean?
Although it would have been funny because I think that he gave it to him.
But I'm sure Bob was like, Carter, brother, they're going to take me out of the game.
I want you to have this.
And then Jeff's like,
you're all good.
And if Rob was like,
I guess I'm good,
Carter,
could I get that back?
I'll stay.
I'll stay.
But if he were to give it to Carter,
like,
why you ain't give it to Eric?
You said who's going to give it to Eric last time?
So that's the only thing that has me
and then seeing how the episode played out,
it worked.
So that was just my only thought,
but that's just,
you know,
picking your brains.
Shall we go to the journeys?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we get,
Devin and Carter have the opportunity to take a visit over to the other tribe.
And first and foremost, it was kind of interesting that over at Toka,
everyone did, nobody wanted to go.
And Devin was like, all right, I'll do it.
And then at whatever, the purple tribe, they all wanted to go.
So they had to draw rocks.
What did you guys think was like, like, why do you guys think there was such
differing opinions between the two tribes of one,
like one tribe everyone wants to get and the other one, like no one really wants to go.
I think on the, what tribe is the toga?
Is that the Devon tribe?
Yellow, yeah.
I think on the Toka tribe, I think that no one wanted to go because there is such a
visible fraction, right, where we have the people in power and the other people not
in power and we're like the other people that aren't in power,
I feel like they don't really want to miss anything because something can happen.
But I was shocked that it was a good move for Devin.
But again, for me, it's like another thing kind of like adding to the like, ooh, and then when he goes, we see people have opinions about it.
Like my girl, now I don't want to mispronounce her name, Titan.
Tanan.
Tanan.
We see a lot of her and her personality this episode.
And she's like, she's clocking Devin.
And we see Kilby clock in death.
We see this other fraction kind of really seeing.
And so that was interesting to me.
And I feel like the other tribe, it's a lot going on.
And we don't necessarily see the strong.
The alliances are a little more fluid.
And so like everyone wants to want to want my opinion.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think with the purple group too.
What you're going to say, Wendy's easy?
I agree.
No, I was going to co-sign you and this Devon thing.
Devon is flying close to the sun.
Like, doing a lot and so visible.
I'm just, again, I don't know when or what,
and I hope nothing happens to him,
but I'm getting so much Caleb from him and he's just so,
he's doing a lot.
He's so personable.
He's so likable.
And in a game like this, I don't know.
I don't know.
But also he's insulated.
He's insulated.
He has good alliances.
I do like that he is close with Brady.
And then he also has the helicopter alliance.
So like his connections are pretty good.
Yeah.
I was going to say, I think with the Purple Tribe, too,
it's kind of become like Carter was sort of a clear-cut target.
And, you know, once he wants to go,
it's kind of like everyone else sort of also has to want to go
so that he doesn't get the opportunity to go.
whereas like you said,
Bryce,
the yellow group's a little bit more
like the dynamics are a little more fluid
and so I don't think people don't want to leave
because you don't want to miss out on like
the tide's changing.
Yeah,
and then they get to the other beaches.
They get an advantage
and they also have an opportunity
to potentially mutiny and switch tribes.
I think that,
I think the Carter situation was hilarious.
I think
I think from him getting there, putting his bag down, them seeing the bag like,
should we see what's going on?
Him leaving the advantage on the top of his bag, then proceeding to run and Brady
annihilating the whores, but I think he could have, I think he could have just taken
the string off of the ore.
but Brady and a hammer or an axe or anything,
he's going to annihilate whatever's in his way.
Or a Bryce.
So two things, right?
Didn't realize how bad of a position Carter was in until we get back
and he kind of starts explaining to us like,
hey, you guys didn't tell me what happening.
They're like, no, we ain't want to, it's good.
that Carter is realizing like, oh shit.
And then with Rob potentially going and he's like, if you,
Carter is trying to convey to Rob like, brother,
don't leave me out here.
I'm stuck.
And so we don't really see much of Carter, right?
And I think there's something admirable or endearing.
Carter is like a very simple man, right?
And like it just, he knows what's in front of him.
And when he's reading the letter,
he's just like, and if you're smart enough,
if you're witty enough,
the Carter's like, hey,
I'm gonna tell you all now.
I'm not that witty,
but I'll see what I can do.
But there is something like honest.
And like there's something from I get from as a viewer
where it's like, I don't want to say like he's a simple man,
but you can tell us, like very,
and he sees his outcome is a little bleak.
And like immediately he gets there with Mike.
and Mike is trying to lock in with him.
What I thought the most interesting was,
and I don't want to be on Brady too much,
but Brady is a thinker.
I mean, he crazy as hell.
And sometimes that craziness overpowers his thinking.
But when he pressed the issue with Carter about the advantages,
him knowing all of that,
and Carter lying to him,
but like him taking the lying ass.
That's exactly what I would do in that position.
And I kind of know he's somewhat solid in sticking to the plan.
I was like, oh, that's a way to read it.
Because my ass would have been like, oh, I can't trust them.
Get them out of here.
And I was like, oh, like, you're actually using that to his advantage.
And I was like, okay, okay, W's in the chat for Brady.
for that.
Yeah, that you could have
you could have
taken Carter's actions
numerous ways, but I guess
Brady knew what he wanted. He wanted
to make some kind of alliance with
or find a way to work with him
and put himself in issues.
Duh, I'm on Survivor.
Of course he would. Of course he would
and anyone should
not willfully share this
upon first meeting someone.
Cool, got it. But
I could.
still see us working together and
I'm going to hold the knowledge of that in my head.
Good move, Brady.
What did you guys think about Brady
giving Maggie the advantage
when she asks?
I thought another good move by Brady.
I
thought it was, well,
first of all, he stole it.
He said, give me this here.
Thought it was good, but also
like I also am thinking like
I'm like that's
so Raven seeing into the future right and seeing
how Brady thinks and like he says
to her but she'll vote the way
I want you to vote and
in that moment who won't say no
right but it's making me see that like
Brady
Brady might be a dictator
and right now it's working
because he's with end in power
and we see where anybody tries to cross him
it's like you got to go and so it makes me a little
nervous, just hearing that because I'm like, maybe as things get down the line and Brady
starts moving and getting more in control, like how people will feel about that.
So I mean, at that point, I would have kept it.
I would, I would have hit her with the, if you want to use it, let me know.
Yeah, it's a weird spot because if you say no, it's like you're kind of creating an enemy.
And I don't know, I don't think an extra of all is worth having bad blood.
Plus, I think it's fair, like, Maggie sort of was already there, and Brady was like, can I, can I just chop it open for you?
And then he took it and it's like, well, you kind of told it you would give it to her.
Like, yeah.
Can we talk about Kilby?
Yeah.
So it's interesting, because we're talking about this other fraction.
Kilby, Sanan, Maggie, and we have Louisa, Jenna, and we have Louis, Jenna, and we have Louis.
and Carter.
And I like Killby's approach to the game
where he really is
sowing seeds of mistrust to Devin.
And it's getting back to Devin
and it's not necessarily like working out
how he wants it to work out.
But regardless of Devin clocking it,
I still think
the seeds have been planted
and especially like with
Sanan,
that's like I just I feel like there is something there that like it could potentially come back and seeing how this episode ended with this fraction leaving off and power I'm like
Kilby flew a little close to the sun he was he was almost out of year but I'm being as though he was able to survive that I am interested to see the Kilby art yeah I mean especially now that devon went over and talked
talked-ish about them.
Everywhere.
Yeah.
I don't, like, yeah, it's interesting.
I mean, Kilby is a smart guy and clearly strategic, but I think thrives in chaos.
And I don't know.
I think the, the approach of like, like he, you know, for example, talking shit about
Brady to Pat, like, that was a bad call, you know what I mean?
So what I will say about Kilby, very, very separate.
I'm sort of regurgitating.
They mentioned this on the know-it-alls, but we talked about Kilby was the one sent to negotiate for the supplies day one.
And we see, like, part of the reason Devin doesn't mutinies because of how bad the other tribes' shelter is, whereas Toka, where Kilby took, you know, like the shelter building supplies and things like that, they've got a great setup.
And so, like, Rob says he hasn't slept more than an hour or night, whereas Toka seems to be living pretty good.
you got to give props to kill me again for that.
So I did think that was worth a mention on his behalf.
Yeah, no.
I'd like to go somewhere else too real quick.
I think we need to talk about the Player of the Day.
On that Player of the Day started off cheerfully delightful Mr. Lewis.
And my, my, has Lewis turned into,
nobody will get hurt.
put your hands up and put the money in the mother imbag now friend okay i don't know about you guys
but there was a very different louis this episode you could see it in his eyes
you're giving smigel right now bro um lewis clocked in and he is no longer cheerfully
delicious i mean well he's still cheerfully delicious but he's still cheerfully delicious but
he got the gun, he at the bank,
and he just slid the notice.
Baby, I didn't know Lewis had it in him.
Lewis is peeping game.
And I, dare I say,
Lewis being forgotten about on the first two episodes
and being gone for 72 hours and Survivor was like,
oh shit, come back.
I think that could have been the best thing for Lewis
because Lewis is now hyper-assimulating
into the tribe.
And him hyper assimilating
is him peeping and seeing
where everybody's at
and knowing his position.
And like he's like,
okay, this ain't going to work for me.
I need to do something else.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They made a great move.
They look at the Irish.
I like,
I like move making Lewis.
It makes me scared for,
I mean,
did they know that he was kind of driving it?
Not necessarily.
I don't think.
Yeah, but yeah.
I like watching a move making Lewis making a move on this.
And also, guys, like, this five, this is a five-person alliance on a tribe of 10, right?
11 now.
Six person now.
But before the, before the meeting up.
So y'all were really bold in.
showing who's with you and who's not with you
to where these people are like,
yo, we got to crack that.
And they got an opportunity and they shot that shot
and they hit their mark.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm mixed on this move.
I mean, I love,
I don't think anything about this move is an inherently bad gameplay.
And like I love seeing Lewis take the reins,
create this connection with Carter,
I think was a really smart angle.
and his pulse of the tribe was really spot on.
Because I think a lot of times if that minority four of Kilby and Tenon and Jenna and Maggie were not ready to shake, you know, you could be calling this out and then put yourself in a really bad spot.
But clearly he's able to spearhead things and pull the group together and make this vote work.
And I honestly think Pat, you know, as much as we hate to lose.
her. We hate to lose her because she was a great player.
Right. And so I think that was a smart target.
The one thing I'll say, and you guys kind of mentioned it is we sort of see and again,
I listened to the note all this week. So this was sort of a point that they brought up.
So I don't want to want to be stealing it. But I fully agree with something Stephen
Fishback said of, you know, Christian kind of Christian ubiquity sort of mentions this in
season 50 of like, and I've sort of always looked at things this way where early on, um,
There's a lot of game left.
And there's sort of inevitably going to be like a swap or whatever.
And so you opt for this six, five vote.
You're now burning, you're coming back to camp having burned four people.
And so if you get to a swap, now there's four people that don't really trust you.
That could really be like a make or break number for you if you swap, right?
Because whereas if Kilby seemed to be the easier vote, if Lewis goes along with that and then brings Carter
on that. I don't really think like a Jenna or a Maggie is really going to push back on a
killby vote. Now you've got more sort of tribal unity where you go to a swap and your tribe is
still up 10 to 7 that that unity you could find yourself on a tribe swap. They know they might
swap to tribes of six or whatever. We see it's coming next episode. Obviously they don't know that
out there but the open era of 21 people you kind of assume there's going to be a swap. I would
I'd much rather go into a swap, you know, whatever it might be, that next episode or a couple
episodes later in their mind with a harmonious majority group than a fractured group, because
now you're going to be having a Devon or a Jelly or a Brady or a Mike that are wanting
some revenge and are willing to flip. So I think in this moment, in this tribe for their longevity
on the tribe, great move. And if you look at this tribe as if it were like the actual Final 11,
it was a fantastic move because you have to break up this group.
But for a Lewis who's not really on anyone's radar,
it feels like, again,
I don't think anything inherently wrong about this play,
but I just looked looking to the future
where he wasn't a target now, right?
So he didn't necessarily have to like uproot the whole operation to save himself.
Right.
He could put himself in a tricky position moving forward.
But don't get me wrong,
I love that he took agency.
and of all, especially like as far as a viewer goes,
love that he like took the reins and made a move.
Because him just going along and voting Kilby
would have been more boring.
So I am a Lewis fan and appreciator of the fact that he like went for it.
This episode alone should show you that even if you're not the intended target,
it doesn't mean that ish can't change.
And so like I do like the fact that Lewis wasn't taking happen chance and just going
with the votes because anything could have happened.
And we see the reason that they.
targeted Pat was like because of her association. So it's like, I actually am not mad at that
because it's like you never know what can happen. Another to your and Steven's point, like yeah,
it does shake up the game a lot this season. However, I think that is coming from a new era standpoint.
This is the open era and I think time and time again, we're on episode three. And they have shown us
that the open era is a little more fluid. There was even a point in the episode where ORI review,
and I think I even asked Shaw about this way.
Orie and Sharonda,
they didn't vote together last tribal.
And Ori Reveals like,
I didn't vote the way that Sharonda voted,
but I did let her know because, like,
we're still in communication.
But they're not voting together.
We see in episode one with Brady and Devin.
They're not necessarily voting together.
And we talked about it.
This in the open era,
I find that it's not the doctorate of Survivor fans playing, right?
These are,
casual survivor fan so it leaves room that I believe in the open era that's
sure things they might not be as cut and dry like absolutely this move is going to shake
some things up but I don't feel like it is going to hold him back it's not going to like
I don't think it's going to like inherently mess up his game now but that's the problem is I
can see a world where he gets to swap with like you know two people
people he just burned in a couple of other members of the Purple tribe and that he's in trouble.
You know what I mean?
Like that very well might not happen.
But I don't know.
I'm always just a subscriber to the fact that like early on until the merge,
you want to just assemble as many, like as strong connections across the board as possible.
And then the time to burn those connections would be after the merge.
But yeah.
but I mean I would say he got as many
connections as the other side of the
fraction
then then so I don't know
I feel like he's in an okay position
like he's the one that also said
should we look into
Carter's bag right
like I'm just like there's just so much
that we are getting to see
from
Lewis that
I didn't know he had in him
And so I just, it's very interesting.
I would not have taken him to be.
Rob tapped out and I think Lewis tapped in and said,
oh, you're looking for a villain?
And to be fair, like to the counter-argue of my own point,
I think making a move like this, sure, it could create some enemies,
but it also solidifies you much more with the people that you have now made a move with,
where, like, if he gets swapped with a Kilby or a Tenon or a Maggie or,
or Carter than he knows.
It's like, that's my people.
We're good.
Whereas if you just go along with the Kilby
and it's a unanimous vote,
it's like the lines still haven't really been drawn.
So there's maybe people are more willing to then go against him down the line.
So, yeah, but I think it was, again,
I don't think there was anything inherently wrong with the move.
I think it opens it up.
I think it opens this game up to some positive avenues,
but also some dangerous avenues.
But I think it's just more exciting.
gameplay. So I would encourage everyone, like, as a viewer, you want people to move like a Lewis,
you know. Yeah. It makes it fun to watch for sure. And it opens the door. Like it, like, it
open, like, because now somebody on that other side of that fraction with Pat on, they might be like,
whoa, maybe we're not as strong as we like. It just, for me, it opens the door. Put the target, but
Sometimes, listen, you got to, in order to win, you got to play and you got to play to win, that's a bar.
What y'all think about this challenge?
Do you like to challenge, Jack?
Pull up the picture again.
I kind of remind me exactly what it was.
So it was very much the new school and new open era where it's like you have to crawl.
And they were like boxing each other out.
Right.
And we had to go through waves.
So three people at a time had to go through.
You had to get something.
Then the next three people could go.
Then you had to release these chains.
You had to get everybody up a wall.
The thing that I loved the absolute most about this challenge was,
hey, bay, let's get physical.
Yeah.
We have not seen a physical challenge.
like this in a while.
And I don't know if in the directions,
Jeff said you could get physical,
but he did say in open air,
we bring him a lot of stuff back.
And when my girl Alexis,
they said, go,
my girl,
Alexis said,
excuse me.
Boom,
boom.
I say,
oh!
Yeah.
Yeah, that was the highlight to me too.
Yeah, it took me a second to kind of remember,
but I love that.
Whether it was in like the,
the hay and people,
or like grabbing each other or even Alexis coming up
and just blighting and be like, boom, get out the way.
I thought that was a lot of fun.
Like, and now I-
Move, get out the way, get out of the way.
Get out of the way.
Oh, no.
The fights out.
I'm about to punch show.
Lights out.
Get the fact.
God, you grill.
Get, no, eh, move.
Get out.
Get out the way. Get out the way. Move.
Get out the way.
Jack, put your hands up. I hear your cleaves. I hear the keys clicking.
I just put my volume back up. So I hear you guys. I mean, that's an Alexis original.
Okay. Is that, is that a, is that DMX?
Should we give him another song, Bryce?
Okay.
Please don't.
I want to.
Oh, brodie, from your head to your toes.
I want to mown to the head down to the down to the phone.
I want to, I want to, you make so good.
I don't want to leave.
But I got to let the know what your fantasy.
As head down and up.
That's the.
I want to get you on the Georgia door.
I want to fit the yard line.
What the dundits kick for three.
And if you like,
I'm going to do the video through on the back of the VIP.
Jerry's strawberry, no stop.
How about in a library on top of books?
We all got to be me.
Duper out.
Big for it.
Give me TLC because you know what you do, bro.
All right, Jack.
Jack.
Take it like a multiple choice.
Do you need another one?
I mean, I know I've heard these songs before.
I just don't know.
Road and bowls.
30-inch ride.
High.
I.
That really,
Alps, man.
Cadillac meals,
Cadillac, grills,
check out the oil my Cadillacs,
meals, matter of fact,
candy peg,
candy pack,
Cill,
check out the,
my Cadillac kills,
20 inch wide,
20 inch high,
oh, don't you like my 20 inch,
broad,
20 inch thighs,
make 20 inch eyes,
hoping for American 20 inch
pies.
Jack?
I mean,
I'm going to need,
I need some multiple toys.
Lovers and friends.
Oh, show you're right.
That Ursa John and Luda had to do it again.
Tell your lover and friends that Urshah and Luda had to do it again.
So I got those three options right there.
Okay.
Is it a little, it's not, no, it's not a little, no, it's not a little, no.
Whoever the first person you said, that's my guess.
Urcia?
Urcia, yeah.
Urcia?
Yeah.
U.S.S.H.A?
It is ludicrous.
That was ludicrous?
Yes, that's a luda.
Luda?
Oh, you were just going as old.
Oh, shit.
What is his real?
He doesn't really.
You know, baby Justin Bieber.
He's got a verse on there.
I'm screaming.
Also, don't forget to,
Lewis clocked in during this challenge, too.
You saw him after he got through the hay, pulling.
He was pulling old girl.
But listen, I do want to say something real quick.
Uh-oh.
And I said what you say.
You know, all of these men's out here, we got a lot of physically fit men.
But I know one thing.
I know a wall hate to see Ori coming.
Okay.
Ori said, I don't need your help.
Let me go out here, show the tribe.
What's up?
Ory backed up.
He got in the running place.
He said, boop, boop, bo, bo, bo.
He said, oh, oh, all, all, all, all.
Y'all want to get on my back?
Here, climb up my back.
I thought he was going to make it, though.
I was like, oh, look at Ori.
The problem is, even if he made it,
how's everyone else going to get up?
You know.
There's that rope.
I know, but the rope was only like a couple of feet long.
I guess he could drop it, come back down, and then do it again.
Do it again.
That wall said not to die.
Yeah.
I mean, that was a great win for the Purple Tribe.
Oh, absolutely.
And at the right time.
Yeah.
I mean, you just, it's one of those things you lose.
Anna, then you lose Rob, then you lose Carter.
Crazy.
Now, the other tribe is 11 people.
You could tell they were coming scrappy.
Like, they were talking a little bit of shit.
They were obviously getting physical early on.
Like, they wanted this one badly, which I respect.
Like I, and you see when you lose three people in a row, it's like, you're like,
damn, this is like, it's on.
Let's make it happen.
Interesting.
Kielby was telling
Dev like, hey,
I'm good at puzzles here
and you kind of like
sat me out.
And very interesting
because I thought that conversation
was interesting and I would love to know
your thoughts, right?
When you are, say you are on this team
and say you are a Kilby and say there is a
Devon and we all know
we all love
Devin, okay, me included.
if you are a Kilby in that position and Jeff goes,
all right, give you some time to pick your teams and then we'll get this challenge started.
And Dev goes in and says, all right, who are we going to pick?
If you're Kilby, do you just sit down?
Or do you think it's worth you saying, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Well, it sounds like he did say, like, I want to do this one and Devin wasn't budging.
which honestly maybe the biggest
Devin's had a lot of missteps
but this could be like one of the more underrated ones
of you're getting ready for a challenge
someone says hey I'm really good at this
and you're like nah you're sitting now
like that's not the type of person
people are going to want to work with
especially Kilby's got a track record of like he's done well
on the puzzle so if you're Kilby
in that instance do you push back hard
or even concede it
and I'm trying to figure out what I would do
because you're putting yourself in the hero role
and you're now fighting
or doubling down on putting yourself
in the hero role.
I feel like I would have done what Kilby did,
which it sounds like he was like,
hey, I want to do this.
And Devin was like, no, no, nah,
and Kelby's there.
And Devin's like, no, you're sitting this one out.
I'll be like, all right, I guess.
I don't know.
And now the blood's on Devin's hands, I guess.
But not really, because it's like,
again, well, and maybe it is
because we see who we're at home.
home, but also it was interesting because
Devin was cracking me up, where
it's not like this was a reward
challenge, and then there was an
individual immunity. It was a reward
and immunity, so, Dave, my try, I like
to see, this is why I like Deve, because
he's like, he's like, well, because listen,
Jeff said,
four people got to sit down this challenge, and I'm
thinking to myself,
we really going to need kill me, that.
Like, it's like, bitch, what?
Like, no.
I thought the same thing.
It's a beauty.
It's like, that's the same thing as this.
That's the price answer right there.
And yeah, Kilby wasn't buying it.
I disagree.
I feel the thing that I have learned in my day in Survivor is that there was an opportunity
for me to sit out on my challenge episode that I had went home on.
Or no, I didn't go home on episode.
But because, you know, I got all these episodes.
But there was, like, one of the challenges I wanted to swim.
Like, I wanted to do the challenge.
But, like, no one really wanted to back.
Like, no one wanted to not sit out.
So I was just like, okay.
But I am a firm believer.
If you are confident and you feel like you can do good,
I absolutely think you should buck back a little bit.
Like I say, I really want to do this.
Now, again, it does put you in that position.
where it's like, if I don't make it, then it's a lot on me.
But I just, I feel like I think people should fight to do what they think.
And if you do, though, you have to be ready to deliver.
But like, this is a situation.
I think kill be what.
And also, yeah, I do think it's an underrated thing of like going to these team challenges,
being able to be honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses in both directions, too, of like,
I think sometimes people aren't forward enough of like,
I am confident that I am good at XYZ.
And so some people are very like, you know, whatever, I'll do whatever.
It's like, no, if you're a good swimmer, I want to hear you're a good swimmer, right?
Right.
But if you're not, don't be afraid to be like, that's not my strong suit.
I'll set this one out.
But if you fight for it and you take that L, you got to wear that on your suite.
100%.
Yeah.
Also for it, Kilby, this may have worked out where it's like you actually sat out,
you actually can use this to potentially sway other people
and you can take a shot at the fraction
and it really could work out in your favor.
Yeah.
I mean, how much of that ultimately do you think was a factor in this vote of,
like, do you think the others were like,
man, Devin made Kilby sit out?
Like, that's an extra reason to take a shot?
No, right?
No, but Kilby sat out.
so not so they lost we don't know if he would have would have actually been the magician they had a solid lead though right yeah yeah but but who knows how killby is at
you know what so like regardless he sat out they lost even if it's not extra ammo all right now you have the
opportunity to make this big move and you do it yeah yeah it is interesting yeah devon's just been
rubbing people the wrong way and he's like still hasn't been targeted and then a pat is
targeted. But what I also thought was so interesting was like Maggie this episode when Kilby
Tanan and Maggie were talking where Maggie's like absolutely they are for sure in control
but she had her three non-negotiables which were Devin jelly and Pat and so there is something
to be said where it's like Devin is shining bright but the relationship
that he is making thus far
are holding the pressure
my other question is this
yeah you're shining bright
you're extraordinarily charismatic
yeah like
you are a shining star
what if you get to the end with someone that played
a better game than you
like
what isn't that how y'all like to play
Survivor
huh
What I'm saying is, like, I'm just kind of thinking like, all right, we keep thinking about like the whole Caleb, like, you're so friendly and likable and personable and this and that.
But it's like, you know, people played strong games on Caleb season of Survivor.
You know, like, is there a world where other people are bigger threats in front of this person?
So like.
Potentially.
Yeah.
But I do think Devon is very similar to Caleb,
but also very different than Caleb, right?
Caleb was kind of, from what I remember,
like he, he had Emily and he wasn't as much,
like his reach, I don't think was as strong as a Devon's,
where like we see on the other side,
Devin goes over there, he's got Ori, he's got Sharonda,
not only he seals the deal,
with them, him and Sharonda find the idol.
We know Sharonda don't play.
He then tells, or not the idol, the extra vote.
Then he even tells Ori.
And like, we see them being very much locked in.
And so, like, if it is and when they do merge,
Sharonda has her people, or he has hit, like,
Devin really, he's in a great position.
He needs to now, I feel like,
change gears and fall back a little bit
and let other people start doing things
because he's laid a solid foundation.
Yeah, very true.
Very true.
I think it's a great strategy for him to take his foot off of the control gas
and maybe focus on like the latent things,
like the lower key things.
Instead of having to be the leader in everything or dictate everything,
I think now is a very good time for him to say,
I've done a lot of that.
Oftentimes it ain't even going his way.
hey, let me now pull back a little bit and work these things.
Yeah, the charm and the charisma should be is best used in that relationship building,
which he's done, but he's also been trying to leverage his charisma to kind of take control.
I think even if that is successful to do that so early on is like a no-no, right?
You want to just create as many positive relationships as you can.
and then down the line when the time is right,
you can take the reins,
but you don't have to be in the driver's seat
for every single vote for 26 days.
Wendell, while you were going for a second,
I was telling Jack,
this open air is so interesting
because we saw earlier in episodes
Brady and Devin
go butt heads,
vote differently,
but still work together.
This episode, we kind of got the answers
that we wanted with Ori and Sharonda,
where Ori revealed to us, he was like,
I didn't vote with Sharonda,
but I let her know I wasn't voting that way.
What's your thoughts on us seeing the evolution of this open air
where we have allies being like,
we're not, we don't have to vote in the same voting block,
but I'm going to keep it funky with you
so you know I'm still messing with you.
I think it's such a great idea,
especially when it comes to the black survivors
that like, you know,
there might be survivors on that island
that have an inkling of something going on
in like a black alliance.
or this helicopter alliance or whatever.
And if Ori and Sharonda are on the same tribe
but not voting with each other,
it's like that can kind of allow in some degree
them to separate themselves from one another.
I think it's a really good idea.
I think it's a really good idea.
I like it.
We're not even, I'm not voting with her.
Like, what do you mean?
I'm with her.
And, yeah, because on, like, it's,
it's it's easy to like make certain assumptions about like black players you know like oh they might
have something so in this case they're like yo not like nah i think specifically in ori's case right
because i don't think ory is a super fan right i think he's a casual fan and i think we've talked
about this on our podcast where like sometimes in the new era we got a little over people wanting
use their voting records.
Like, you know, I voted with the vote.
I voted right with the vote.
And again, there's something refreshing with these, like,
the casual fans where, like, Orii,
or he thinking about jumping a wall.
He's not thinking about being on the right side of the votes.
And it's almost like, in my opinion,
he's kind of sort of protecting his integrity in the sense,
if he were to sit at the end,
he could potentially use this something like,
well, I was working with Sharonda,
but I didn't vote this.
Like, he could use.
this to build a case for his resume that I'm like,
I love this. You don't have to use.
I voted to do the right time.
I didn't vote eight. Like, uh, I like. Yeah.
I think he's made great points. I think it's an excellent point.
One do all of like, you know, when that happened to episode one with Devin and Brady,
it was sort of like, uh, it's an early vote.
We're going to go for what we feel is right, but that doesn't mean we're not going to work
together. Whereas this time with, with the Ori Sharonda, I think that there's an
extra layer that you brought up that I hadn't really thought about of like for whatever reason you
could kind of if you know where the votes are going you can kind of like then mask your own connections
maybe you create inroads within those individual factions um to then kind of you know we're in separate
alliances but now we're going to know all of the conversations um and i also think like bryce you make
a good point where there was such an emphasis on for like new era and before like i got to be on the right side
of the vote. And that's like a big pitch to the jury. But I think that's typically you want to be
on the right side of the vote. But I also think there's some respect to be had of like, maybe you're
on the wrong side of the vote, but you were trying to make something happen. And like, it's not always
going to work out 100% of the time. But I'd rather, I kind of, it's, I think it's more commendable
of like, okay, Bryce, you're going to go try to make something shake and take a swing. Maybe it didn't
hit this time, but you're playing an active game rather than being like, I have to be in the numbers.
I have to be in the numbers.
Like, you're just scrambling to be in the majority
without making anything happen.
Like, that's worse gameplay, in my opinion.
And Ori knew who was going home.
It wasn't like Ori didn't know what was happening.
And I think that that's even more something that you could build on.
So it just, it makes me very interesting to see.
It's a balance, of course.
Sorry, sorry.
No, go.
Yeah.
The only balance being, obviously, like, in Ori's position,
it's like, well, the person you voted for is still here.
And you don't want that.
to keep happening where there's some strategy to maybe doing this.
But if time and time again, the person you then vote for doesn't go home, that's dicey too.
Yeah.
But I even say to like Ori, right, like him and Carter voted together, right?
And so like, at least Carter knows that.
And so like if there is a world where we get back together and now Carter might be in the power,
it leaves an open road for anything to happen.
So it's like very interesting to see that.
So it's like he still has that relationship with Carter.
But again, I do just want to also just shout out my girl, Kristen.
We ain't see a lot of her this episode.
But when Rob was getting voted out and Kristen revealed, she was like,
bitch, I got a broken leg, a broken ankle.
What is you talking about?
There is this underlying.
We see a lot of the big people that we, you know, we see the Brady's.
We know the Devons.
We've seen the jellies.
We got the Charondas.
We got the Ori's.
But there is this other fraction that we haven't seen a lot of that, you know how I am.
Sometimes when they give us all these big people and then by the merge, they're out.
And so I just also want y'all to keep in mind my good, good, good, good friend Christian.
We haven't seen a lot of him.
Did I see he just got engaged?
I think so.
So congratulations Christian
But I always look during the episode
When people are talking at it
Like it seems like we see people coming to Christian
It don't seem like he's just out there not doing nothing
My girl Kristen
My girl Tenan
We saw her personality
I said oh
Y'all better watch out for her
We see Kilby
We see Maggie
We see Maggie and her confessional being so pissed
Like I should have did this
And then she's like well I got it back
We haven't seen much agenda
There is a lot of people
that in my perspective have huge personalities that we just the tip we are seen yeah it kind of reminds me
I was thinking about during the episode in a very positive way it kind of reminds me with these
big tribes of these two large tribes kind of reminds me like an Australian survivor where
there's a lot of different dynamics going on not a big strong there's a lot of people that you
don't necessarily see right away but there's things cooking in the background things that
keep it fresh and funky where each episode it's like, I didn't know 10 on was cooking this up.
Like that is now a big component of this next episode.
Whereas in a tribe of six, it's like, okay, these four together, these two aren't.
Like that's the dynamic.
Now there's different factions and things going on behind the scenes that may take a step
forward down the line and like really change the arc here.
There's these wild card factors that we don't really know where they're at yet.
And we're going to have time to discover that.
and it's going to kind of shape things down the line.
Go ahead, Wendell.
No, I like that about big tribes.
I like that.
Now, I was going to co-sign him.
I kept my mouth shouting you forced me to go sign it.
Now he's laughing at you.
I like big tribe.
So astute.
I will say that I think it's safe to say we're three for three so far.
season on good episodes, good, great episodes.
So I'm hoping to keep roll.
And what I like, I think this episode really encapsulated it was, I think a lot of
the concern about the open air was like, is every episode going to have some crazy twists
where like we see another Christian having a vote for himself and all this?
I like that the things they've brought in so far and I hope they keep it going are
interesting twists and options like a mutiny that are not going to dominate the episode
and like force that whole episode's narrative
to be around the twist.
But it's something small that creates opportunity
that the players can take the reins on
and then it leads to interesting dynamics moving forward.
But ultimately the vote, you know,
no one's losing their votes.
This and that.
Like the vote feels really like fresh and alive,
I think, in each of these episodes.
Yes. And even Mike Hensky,
we haven't seen a lot of him.
What's my girl with the novelty shop, Leanna?
Lanaya.
Like, again, there are...
Alexis.
Alexis, I said that, in my journal, we know Alexis, move, get out to, like, and Alexis is vocal.
So it's, we got something happening.
Yeah.
So I'm excited to see what happens.
With a swap next week, too.
I mean, we'll see.
And it's at 17, so it'll be interesting to see.
how they divide those up.
I think it's going to be a three-per,
I think it could potentially be a three-person tribe.
Three-person tribe?
Three tribes or three-per-oh, yeah.
I think it'll be three tribes.
I would imagine they were planning to do it at 18
and then, you know, Robb skirted death and went home.
We got somebody walking around with half a thumb.
Yeah.
And, oh, and for the.
record, y'all, like I said,
the thumb, the nail will grow back and the skin
around it would healed. I inspected all three of Brady's thumbs and
the heads on them are completely fine.
I also, completely separate, but when you mentioned
Kristen telling Rob, like, I got a broke, I was like,
who diagnosed that on Kristen?
I know she injured her foot, but
but
Kristen said
Tuka play that game
but
Taranda is a doctor
sure
not that I
I mean I think
Kristen's injury
was legitimate
and obviously
more severe than Rob's
but it was funny
Rob doing all this
self-diagnosing
and on the way out
Chris was like
my foot's broken
it's like
I mean we don't know that
like
I got a torn ACL
I
listen
I'm
pregnant with an alien.
So we self-diagnosis.
We self-diagnosis.
Bryce, we are going to Chicago on Wednesday, and there's a tribe swap in Chicago, bro.
This is about to be, I think this is about to be one of those special evenings in Chicago, Bryce.
I as well, if you are listening or watching, better see if you don't be like Carter.
You better get you a ticket.
Don't miss the boat.
I just, I love the boy.
I love how simple Carter is.
I like, there is just like he's a hard worker.
He wants to, and I'm so, like, he's, he wants to be in.
And I feel like a missed opportunity to not swoop him up.
Because again, Mike Penske, he sees the Carter.
You know, they, they was very hype to get him on board.
So I'm just interested to see the future.
It's funny to think about it from Mike,
from Pinsky's perspective,
where he's off talking to Carter,
and that's when all of the stuff with like the bag and the old,
and Mike might have been coming back being like,
this Carter kid is a good guy.
And they're like, we just went through all this stuff.
And Mike's like, all right, I guess there goes that.
I mean, yeah.
And Carter is definitely a, like,
Carter kind of is reminiscent of the late great Keith Nail a little bit.
with his witty one-liners and his southern charm.
So any semblance of Keith Nail to grace the screen is always a privilege.
He's more Keith Nail than J.T.
I think so.
And I was looking at him like, oh, he's more J.T.
Like a handsome, southern, nice man.
But like his one-liners and like his more simplicity, I'm like, yeah, he's more.
And he's a little goofy, like, in a lovable way.
Like, J.T is like just a ball of, you know, J.T.
would have been in the numbers every vote.
Carter's script, J.T.
would have been row in the boat himself.
You know what I mean?
So, um,
I would have Keith though.
Okay.
I'd rather a Keith type, you know.
I think it's,
I think it's fun.
Fun too.
So it is interesting.
Well, I guess we'll have to see what the tribe swap brings.
