Back to talk about all of the fun from this week of a survivor
Starting point is 00:01:28 and of course uh back with me as always it's chapelle chapelle how are you hey i'm good rob i'm good uh we had a jam-packed episode of survivor we had a lot of challenges we had a lot of stuff going on and i can't wait to talk about it sometimes rob i'm insecure because i'm the last person who gets to talk to you about the episode every week and so i'm wondering you're the closer you already talked about all the cool stuff yeah but you didn't you don't listen to all the podcasts what no why who are you talking to that i gotta listen to steven what does he got i didn't even get to talk to steven this week yeah good no No, I'm joking. I check out the podcast. I like to see what my competition is, who's coming for my job on Club
Starting point is 00:02:08 Condo. Look, we got a contender today. Yeah. All right. Well, I'm so excited. We got a great guest here with us to talk about everything that's going on. And, you know, this guy is long overdue to talk with me because a year ago
Starting point is 00:02:23 we were supposed to talk and then one of the few times in the history of the podcast i got uh deathly ill and chapelle could testify to this because i was gonna go on a podcast with him and i was like uh vomiting and then like stumbling into the room earlier in the day but please welcome from survivor 43ra 43 Sammy Leotti. Sammy, how are you? Hey, Rob. Hey, listen. Last time me and Chappelle, we had a great conversation about
Starting point is 00:02:52 sandwiches towards the end. It was a great time. And so I really hope that we can end today off on an even better time. Hey, they had BLT on the last episode. They did. BLT, bro. I mean, listen, I could not be more excited
Starting point is 00:03:07 to talk about what these guys got going on. I mean, there's so much going on in this season and there's also not a lot going on that I prefer to watch. So I'm excited. I'm excited. Hold on. There was a couple double negatives. Okay. So there's
Starting point is 00:03:24 not a lot going on that you prefer to watch. Yeah. Yeah. There's a little bit of drama. There's a little bit of drama lacking. I'm excited. You think Survivor 47 needs to step it up? I think the players are playing very methodically and very strategically,
Starting point is 00:03:42 but that's not fun to watch, bro. Like we need a little bit of like episode one was, was great. There was some freak outs. There was some, some, some burn downs and everybody's kind of chilled out a little bit, which is good for their game, but. Okay. All right. Sammy bringing the hot takes tonight. I like it. Yeah. We need to, we need some, we need some freak outs. We need some,
Starting point is 00:04:03 some freak outs. Fine. Freak offak outs, fine. Freak off? No, we're not doing that, okay? Listen, I'm always down for a freak off, too, but that's a different story. Yes, Sammy, get the baby on already. Don't make me get up, bro. I'll get up. Sammy's right. We need some Banu, okay?
Starting point is 00:04:20 That's what we're missing. We're missing that chaotic energy from last season where every episode we're like, play your idol, and they're not playing their idol we're like stop voting out your allies and they're not gonna stop voting out their allies we need some more of that you know because i need bonnie i need jelinski i need hannah yeah i need people but i need people bro we need the characters but there's some there's some dogs out there in the islands of fiji right now though there's some dogs out there so don't of Fiji right now, though. There's some dogs out there. So don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Some good players. But it just, let's get a little messy. Okay. All right. Well, we'll talk about it all. Okay. So some big news officially confirmed today. Dare I say some breaking news at this hour to talk about.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Okay. Let me bring this up, okay? Breaking news are happening now. All right, so Dalton Ross had the official word. Survivor 47 finale is going to be a two-parter airing over two weeks. There will be a two-hour episode on december 11th followed by another two-hour episode on december 18th chapelle your reaction i'm trying to understand like what they mean by this because every finale is always like normally it's two parts anyway you get the episode
Starting point is 00:05:42 and then you get like the after show right like the reunion or whatever those are parts but they don't stretch them over the course of two weeks and even if they did wouldn't that just make the penultimate episode the penultimate episode and not the actual finale why are they calling it this what is survivor doing behind our backs because it's something behind the scenes that's making them call it this and i haven't figured out so i don't know exactly how they didn't get into how they're going to break it up, but it's going to only be two hours on the final night instead of three for the first time. And so they are basically trying to give us,
Starting point is 00:06:17 I think it might be the final six and the final five back to back each one hour, you know, one hour each for those two vote offs. And then Sammy, I think they're going to come into the final episode, starting with the final four, then final tribal council and our survivor after show. You know, when I saw this, I got really excited actually, because it made me believe that there's got to be some kind of meat on the bone
Starting point is 00:06:49 that they got to get into between final four and the rest of the game right because like we all know final four what is there is there is a i think there's a day in between there's one singular day in between the final immunity challenge and final tribal council and like is there a day or two I'm not quite sure I saw that the uh so day 25 would be uh when they have the final four challenge followed by fire making at night and then day 26 would be the final tribal council yeah so it's just interesting to me because like let's say we go into let's say we will like we open the episode up I I'm just really at night and then day 26 would be the final tribal council yeah so it's just interesting to me because like let's say we go into let's say we will like we open the episode up i i'm just really curious as to what they're gonna do uh as far as the votes go because i would imagine they start that second segment the two second two hours with final five i don't see why else they would do it differently
Starting point is 00:07:41 you cannot have two hours of final four you just you they're i don't see why else they would do it differently you cannot have two hours of final four you just you there i don't even understand unless something unprecedented is going to happen well i do think you have a lot to get through in that fine because basically in your three hour show like the first hour is pretty much the final five you know you have the final five immunity challenge sometimes they do like a little bit of like look for an advantage and then you have the final five immunity challenge then they come back to camp and then there's some strategy and then you have final tribal council and so uh it takes up about an hour to do the final five yeah i think it's because i think that's where the dynamic is like the most i don't want to say the most interesting but like when we get to four onward, like very seldom.
Starting point is 00:08:26 And again, with the way that the game has been going thus far, very seldom does the final four get really that messy. We usually see a lot of three ones. We've been seeing a lot of blank ones in this whole season. So I don't know if that's going to change anytime soon, especially not at final four. Let me say i like this i'm happy they did this really because i feel like that a lot of times the final five vote is
Starting point is 00:08:51 pretty interesting and we don't really get a chance to talk about it and there's a lot going on uh sammy i know in your season uh that was a pretty interesting final five vote where uh there was a lot of stuff going on where Carla ended up getting voted out. Like that would have been fun to talk about for a week before we got to the actual finale. I actually completely agree with you. I think, I think that very, very often to the player that goes out right at five, you know, it's, it's a, it's a player that, that like was pivotal in the game, pivotal in the game. Like I,
Starting point is 00:09:28 I'm basically, I I'm, I'm really excited to see how much do we, how much more do we really get to see from that day? Like how much better can the buildup really be? Cause I agree with you, Rob, to where it's like,
Starting point is 00:09:40 there's so much that we need to get through in the second hour, as far as final immunity challenge, final four, fire making challenge, blah, blah, blah. And then we have final tribal council on top of all that. Yeah. I'm excited, bro. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And Chappelle, when we come in, sometimes there's like too many scenarios to talk through when you have five people going into the final night. Now, again, they haven't said how they're going to break it up. I think that's just like rampant speculation of that. They'll do six and five in one night. Now also the final six is also, uh, tends to be a really good episode. And so we're sort of giving the final six, a little bit of a short shrift instead of it getting to be its own standalone episode, but I still prefer this and then can really, okay. What are the scenarios of the final four? And then we have actual more of a chance to figure out what's going on. So we're not totally blindsided when Gabler wins.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I know. Hey, listen, I'm going to be honest. I'm at the point right now. I'm going to be blindsided by anybody, but one person winning. Oh,
Starting point is 00:10:38 who is it? Should I reveal it right now? Or should we like get into it? Do your thing. Yeah. Let's do your thing. Talk. What's going on? What you got? or should we get into it? Do your thing. Yeah, do your thing. Talk. What's going on? What you got?
Starting point is 00:10:48 Or should we tease it? Later on in this episode, Sammy will reveal. I'm telling you right now, man. I got my eye on one player right now. Tell us. Listen, I've never seen a comeback as great. I've never seen a spirit deep down as strong. I've never seen a man slay the B-roll like Andy slays the B-roll. And listen, man, episode one, I remember watching Andy and
Starting point is 00:11:21 my insides curled up into a little bit of a ball because I was a little bit confused at what his plan was and then episode I remember uh it was I think it was episode five when he had his first little shot when he had his first little he wrote he wrote the little tombstone thing when they voted Anik out this is my eyes became i i turned into reverse she's all that right now you put the glasses on i put the glasses on and i saw what people should all be seeing right now which is that andy despite being a little bit flaky i can speak to how awesome it is to be flaky it's so fun i'm telling y'all right now being flaky is the best way to play this game despite that um i see a lot of people putting andy a little bit towards the bottom of their power rankings but i want everybody to understand that this turnaround he's making is it's very emily-esque and remember back in emily season 45
Starting point is 00:12:24 we all thought emily had a pretty good chance to win the game yeah so why are we not keeping the same energy with andy that's all i that that that's kind of how i'm feeling about the way that everything is going yeah well you're not gonna get no pushback from us here we love baby andy on this podcast we've been watching him from week one we were we we were kind of uh shook like everybody else where we episode one not great not great but you know like you said he's been just having this like slow rise to stardom like he's he's one of the standout characters if anything from this season for sure and then you know right now he doesn't look like he's in any type of
Starting point is 00:13:00 danger and so uh yeah if we're gonna lose baby, it's probably going to be in one of those last two episodes. I just don't see him going anywhere anytime soon. And if he doesn't, if we don't lose him, he wins the game. So I think it'd be an incredible art for him. And if we got to spend a little bit more time with baby Andy, then I don't think I have an issue with that. But Rob, to me, my issue with this whole two part finale thing is that why are you calling it that? Why don't you just call the finale, the finale? What is the point of saying this is the-part finale thing is that why are you calling it that why don't you just call the
Starting point is 00:13:25 finale the finale what is the point of saying this is the two-part finale if it's not a two-part finale it's just yeah i just feel like that's the thing that's a little weird i think that they're trying to um make it be a two-part finale so you don't feel like oh the finale episode is only two hours when it used to be three i think that they don't want you to feel like that you're losing something. So they're making it actually finales four hours over two nights, not three hours anymore, baby. It's four hours of finale,
Starting point is 00:13:55 but they're pretty good at doing that. They like, they like promoting like the simple, like I prefer this, uh, much more not to mention also, the show's going to be over an hour earlier than it normally is. I mean, Sammy, that's a late night for me.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I got a podcast that'll start at 11.15. My prayers go out to you East Coast folks. I don't got to worry about the times of anything. Football starts at 6.15. Survivor starts at 7. I'm moving by you. I don't got to worry about this 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock. I hate eastern time
Starting point is 00:14:25 eastern time go to hell and daylight savings dude let's put them let's put them you know inside out the lost memories layer like way in the back let's throw them all the way back there bro let's all be on the same time frame that way if i take you rob and i say rob we're doing a podcast today at five we don't gotta worry about the time. We're just getting on at five. Yes. Listen, tell my story, okay? I live in Central Time and I'm always converting and all this other stuff for everybody else. When everybody just needs to be on Central Time with me, it's where it is.
Starting point is 00:14:54 You're blessed. You know, yeah, listen, you try to be and then everybody tells you you're on the wrong time zone. Like, no, y'all are the problem, okay? Why are y'all watching TV at 10 o'clock at night? I'm moving over the border so I can be one hour earlier for everything yeah you should do that yeah i wanted to know something else too like i don't want to like jump too far ahead or anything like that but um you know just to give a little bit of context as to why i truly believe andy will win this game i just i i really
Starting point is 00:15:23 uh one of the one of the moments in the last episode what i really appreciated was uh when he was uh in the morning uh after everybody was like talking about the what had happened after talking about it outright everything like that uh he had a conversation with rachel and it's like the conversation went on forever, yo. And I think that's something that Andy has been doing super well throughout the game is rounding the ducks, checking his P's and Q's every single time. Because Sam, when Sierra gets voted off, obviously Sam goes from boom, and I trust me I've been
Starting point is 00:16:06 there I get how that feels that sucks but the thing about Andy that he does so well is he gets his ducks in a row and he makes sure he goes and talks to the people that were involved after the fact because just because Saul right was voted out 9-1 or whatever it may I think it was yeah 8-1 that doesn't mean that some people it was 9-1 or 8-1. That doesn't mean that some people aren't upset about the fact that that's what happened. I think that's something I've just been catching my eye a little bit.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Catching my survivor eye. The episode opened up with Andy talking with a few of the different people that were from his original tribe, including Rachel. We had a long sequence of Andy and Rachel and Chappelle. I'm wondering, you know, we talked about,
Starting point is 00:16:51 uh, the she's all that of baby Andy, but I'm wondering are Andy and Rachel, the on again, off again, uh, romantic comedy type alliance of potentially that will they or won't they? I do like her.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I feel like we have chemistry and we could definitely have game chemistry out here. They have chemistry. Can they make it work? Yeah, but it's misconnections they keep having, right? Like the first boat out, Andy's on the bottom of that boat. They get rid of John Lovett. It's basically Andy's fault, but we won't go there. But Rachel is the one who's trying to hear him out.
Starting point is 00:17:28 He's talking to her. But she's like, hey, hey, people don't need to know about this. Keep this relationship on the low. You making the block hot, you know? And so then, boom, some weeks go by. We think everything's cool. And then Andy blindsides Rachel. Now, she did think she was about to blindside Andy, but he got one over on her. So now she's like, do I trust him? So they've been doing this back and forth this whole time.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And now it's time. It seems like it's time to get back on the same page. But after this episode, I'm not quite sure how the goddess are going to get on the same page, because if I'm not, I would never be a good survivor player. I can tell you this a billion times over because I would never trust these people. You can people. They've not been able to vote together solidly as a group, ever. That's why it's such a good story. Sammy, you know, Rachel, she met this guy, and then
Starting point is 00:18:14 she hates his guts, and then he worked on Blindside. I'm never going to work with that guy, but now all of a sudden, unlikely partners having to come back together. Man, you got to think about how, like, as the game goes on, the previous baggage that was left starts to matter less and less and less.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Like, it's just always so funny how people believe that, like, what happens in these early stages of the game is going to be cemented for the rest of it, right? Sam and Sierra thought Andy was like, that's low, bro. Like, he got – we got it. Like, don't even worry about – don't even worry about Andy. Like, he'll vote with us no matter what. Well, then Sam and Sierra are tied.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Like, then they're both up and, like, it could be either one of them. And who's one of them and and who's who's one of the catalysts of that andy bro like like it's always funny how the further the game goes the you start to realize there is and and what i hope these these players start to realize is that there are powerful groups that are going nowhere anytime soon like teeny like teeny is in great position caroline fantastic position sue gabe yo bro don't get me started on is it kyle right yeah let me start on kyle that guy's charming okay i mean that guy's got that guy got charm to him like i think him and gabe are underestimating sue a little bit they don't want they want to be careful with that but at the end of the day man like the further the game goes
Starting point is 00:20:00 what the the best players will let go of these things, like what Andy and Rachel are trying to do right now. The best players will let that stuff go because they see the path in front is easier. Man, it's like we're carrying water cases out of Costco parking lot. I could go get two of them by myself. But if my brother could help me, I know we might be in an argument right now and I don't want to talk to but if he could help me it's gonna save us a trip okay but sam you say this
Starting point is 00:20:31 doesn't matter then how are you going to explain genevieve says oh well you know what saul he voted out rome honestly i i completely understand like by the way, Rome, yo, that dude was one of my favorites, yo. Like, literally the most, just one of the most fun and entertaining players because it was himself all the way to his core. I'm going to be honest. all the way to his core. I'm going to be honest. I don't know if, like, I understand Genevieve saying that.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Do I think it really had a lot of weight to it? I don't. I think Genevieve saw Saul as a huge threat in the game because he was such a friendly guy. He was such a friendly guy. He was such a friendly guy. And obviously we all know he pulled a huge move at tribal council. And like Genevieve is one of those players that doesn't have to know what's going on. She just knows what's going on. Like I don't know how she does it, but like there, there, there's,
Starting point is 00:21:44 there's two, there's two levels to this, really. I want Andy to win the game. I think Teenie or Genevieve are probably going to win the game. I think Caroline has a great chance to win the game. Like, Genevieve so far has done no wrong. Yeah, but Sammy, you said, you started the podcast,
Starting point is 00:21:59 you said, look, I'm not feeling this cast. I gotta be honest. And then you've come on and proceeded to compliment every single person that's in the cast. You love this cast. You love them. You hate the cast. No, no, no, no, no, no. You don't think they're boring?
Starting point is 00:22:14 No. You love them. I don't think they're boring. I don't think they're boring. I think we're doing a whole lot of this, though, right now. We're doing a lot of dancing around. Whose dance is that? I think I recognize
Starting point is 00:22:25 that dance. I'm not going to say who I think you're talking about. Just for the purpose of the fact that Nick Bosa do that dance. Yes, Nick. Yes, that's who it was. That's exactly who we were thinking of. So look,
Starting point is 00:22:45 I got hard eyes for this cast. Yes. Are those hearts? I couldn't tell. Are they just rose-colored glasses or they're hearts? Wait, I have those same glasses. I'm going to go get them. I'll be back.
Starting point is 00:22:54 He does. I appreciate how the cast is playing the game. When I opened up this podcast, my meaning behind that is I feel like there's a lot of passive aggressiveness going on behind the scenes within the votes. Yeah. Like, I just, 8-1, 4-4-1. I don't know if everybody's playing, oh, Chappelle Knives. Yeah. I don't know if everybody's playing. Oh, Chappelle Nice. I don't know if everybody's playing. That's like what Zendaya wore in
Starting point is 00:23:29 Challengers. Yeah, sure. The poster. Who? What? It's like the poster. You look like Beyonce, bro. Oh, you see it? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Sammy, I do see what you're saying in terms of, I don't know about passive aggressiveness, but it does seem like if you look at all of these votes that have happened, these votes have been pile-ons, that people have been dogpiling these votes. Whether it's Rome, everybody piles on Rome. Then it wasn't, it was a vote split but that was a dog pile onto sam and sierra and then like tiana tiana right completely uh everybody like hey let's all vote
Starting point is 00:24:16 the same way i don't want to be you know not part of the big uh plan and then with saul once people started saying to saul all right, everybody vote for Saul. Yeah. And like, I mean, I just, I feel like the only reason that part of me is about what's going on sometimes is I just don't know that I don't know what's going on. I don't know that Gabe is going to survive the next episode. Right. Yeah. Like dude is menace menace. When one has won three, right. Three challenges. Yeah. Kyle has won three. Yeah. Kyle's won. Kyle's won three. Gabe has won his first one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Bro. Both those guys men first one. Kyle, bro, both those guys, menaces. I don't really see how they make it very much further. And then it's a matter of, dude, are we going to let Genevieve and Caroline run away with this thing? Are we just going to let them run? Which, if they do, that's fine. However, I feel like Andy has something to say about that. I feel like somebody like Andy's got something to say about that.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Oh, I like this idea. I like this idea. Because right now the numbers are very interesting to me, right? You got the four tukus, right? But then they're outnumbered by one, right? It's four and five. Everybody else versus the four two-coos, right? But then they're outnumbered by one, right? It's four and five. Everybody else versus the four two-coos. But I'm really kind of interested to find out what is going to happen next.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Because although, you know, the two-coos are down in the numbers, the other five don't really work well together. You know, Genevieve blindsides Teenie in this episode. You know, Sam betrays Rachel in this episode. Rachel and Andy have never been on the same page. Andy and Sam aren't on the same page. How is this five, Sammy, going to come together and get out somebody like Kyle or Gabe or Caroline or Sue? You know, because right now that four is tight. Do you think they can pull it together for one vote?
Starting point is 00:26:22 What I really think it comes down to is when do they pull this trigger right because it gets really difficult when you're in a position that somebody like andy or somebody like rachel is in where they're creating relationships on the other side. And it gets easy to start thinking in your head, like, yo, I know I'm probably on the bottom of this whole thing right now, but final seven, oh my, final seven's like, yo, if I go home and tell my family I got 10th, what if I tell them I got seventh though?
Starting point is 00:26:59 If I tell them I got seventh, that's like, that's like- Is that part of it? Is that how people make decisions out there? Listen, man, I, I'll speak for myself. That's how that would. Yup. This guy, this guy right here was thinking always do trust me. I didn't want seven, but dude, seven sounds better than nine, bro. What? Seven sounds better than 10. Oh, I made it day 21. Oh, I made it day 19. I mean, come on.
Starting point is 00:27:25 What are we talking about? There's two different, like, we're talking about three weeks versus under three weeks. Anyways, I just think it's important for this group of five. Like, this is the part of the game where things start to get really tricky. We're about to go from five. We're about to be at either even numbers or 5 to be either even numbers or five, three and five, three does not mean five, three, five, three means four. I mean, it can mean five to three on this side. It can be four to four.
Starting point is 00:27:55 It can mean six, two really. And at the end of the day, I think it's important for this group of five. Like they have to, they have to open up. they have to open their eyes. Cause, cause the other thing about it is advantages, right? Sue has an idol. I mean, Sue has an idol. Like Rachel has an idol. Rachel has an idol. Like they're locked and loaded. And, and, and I, I, I really would hate, what I would hate to see is this power group that doesn't like working with each other to allow – I mean, we're talking – one of these two guys might win every single challenge.
Starting point is 00:28:42 It's true. We cannot let that – we can't let that slide and so that's that's what i'm saying when i when i go back going back to like i feel like i know what like oh i hope i don't know what's gonna happen like dude gabe or kyle bro they gotta be toast soon bro they gotta be toast soon like we gotta we gotta get those guys out soon because watch i'm telling y'all right now like Genevieve bro listen she's playing the game great she's playing real hard though she's playing real hard bro Sammy did you like the move that Genevieve made against Saul this week I did uh personally I I I hated to see saul go but you'd love to watch him i love the move is because
Starting point is 00:29:29 i i put myself in her shoes right and again i i don't really i don't really think i had that much to do with rome i really don't i think think I had more to do with Saul is so great. He was so great. He was so great. He was calm. He was cool. He was collected. And,
Starting point is 00:29:53 and something else to note was that he had a chip on his shoulder, right? Whenever you win those little battles within your tribe and you're the one that prevails him like with him in rome or rome's trying to get him like rome's trying to vote him off you are so you have so much value like you have so much to speak on on hey listen bro i was i remember i remember with with uh with with our tribe right like it was it was really easy for me to go back and say, like, hey, bro, I was in the middle between Ellie and Gabler.
Starting point is 00:30:29 And my hope was, I'd be like, and look who's still standing before you. Me right here. And Saul had that. And he was starting to create bonds that ultimately Genevieve like was not able to at the same like like uh it seemed like under the same I don't want to say she wasn't able to create them but it seemed like they weren't under the same like genuine circumstances and so I did like the move. Yeah, I came around on it. When the episode happened,
Starting point is 00:31:09 I was like, I don't really think this was such a hot move for Genevieve. I liked how she was able to pull it off. But ultimately, I didn't think that this was such a great idea. And then on Fridays, we do the patron Q&A and the patrons called in and they had a lot of questions about it
Starting point is 00:31:25 and there was one call towards the end of the show where they really laid out everything about why this was a good move and really if Genevieve is targeting sort of like the medium sneaky threats
Starting point is 00:31:41 she doesn't have the backlash of like oh Genevieve just made the biggest move in the game. She took out, like nobody was thinking about him like that. It's not like, oh, okay, she just took out the number one person who was going to win the game. Now she's the biggest threat. You know, she worked with another group to take out somebody from her own alliance.
Starting point is 00:32:01 This was great that it's not going to swing back. I'll be surprised if genevieve goes home next i think that people are gonna like look at this move and now it's like okay well am i gonna are we gonna take out genevieve or teeny or are we gonna go after you know the bigger alliance and the bigger uh powers that be and i don't think that the tuku tribe is even going to be gunning for genevieve so i think it bought her a lot of wiggle room. All of Genevieve's moves are to take out her allies. That's her claim to fame.
Starting point is 00:32:32 If you look at any move that Genevieve has orchestrated, it's always been a Lavo person. You know, whether it's Rome was pretty much the Genevieve, like letting him go pretty easily. Asia, of course. I mean, you know, like everybody who's gone home on Lavo Tribe, Genevieve has had a hand in it. It's these other votes that Genevieve's kind of like, no, y'all got it. I'll just go with, like everybody who's gone home on the Lavo tribe, Genevieve had a hand in it. It's these other votes that Genevieve's kind of like, no, y'all got it. I'll just go with the numbers.
Starting point is 00:32:52 And so you're right. Why would a push back when Genevieve says, let's take all sauce? You're like, sure. As long as it's not too cool. I don't care who y'all are voting. It's not one of us. Kyle even says, I don't think Genevieve is much of a thinker because every time you look up, she's voted. I want to have my allies so you know he said that that was so rude i mean but look at what they're saying you know like i think that just means kyle and gabe probably don't have their finger on the pulse of the game as much as they think they do gabe says that sue sue probably wouldn't throw out saw's name and she is you know like so those things are flying under the radar bro like like they're not you i'm telling like like it gets to this point where when it's this this is part of why i love the move by genevieve so much you're cutting the the bond of
Starting point is 00:33:36 like oh we gotta work together because like we're wearing the same color t-shirt like you're breaking that bond to a point where i think everybody else views you as you're putting your money where your mouth is like oh she not like she oh she's like gabe gabe and kyle right like you just said it chapelle i really think that whether you know the conversations we have not seen are talking about, bro, are those two ever, like, those two are, like, they're an idol. Like, neither of them are ever going to, like, singularly work with us if we needed one of them for anything. And that's what I think Genevieve is really benefiting from by making these moves. Not only is it not a huge target on her back i think it potentially could be a
Starting point is 00:34:27 little bit of backfire i think potentially she could be an easy vote i don't see it happening but i think potentially she could be an easy vote should everybody start to freak out depending upon who wins immunity um this next go hopefully not kyle bro please bro like like not no offense but like hunter was a dog too love hunter don't gotta see somebody else do it i want to see sue do it bro this is what they went out there for anyways um so like when these these votes come up in these next couple weeks or episodes at least um one thing that i'm concerned about and i have a big question to you for, is like, they're losing their votes so often this season, Sammy. How do you think that this strategy plays out when, yeah, but like four people lost their vote at one point in this last episode,
Starting point is 00:35:14 and they end up getting it back, minus what, Caroline? But at the same time, Sammy, how do you plan for something like, you know, taking out the two coups or taking out Kyle, or even if you wanted to target Genevieve, when you don't even know if you're going to have a vote from episode to episode? It really sucks to see the, like, I really, I love when they throw stuff in there like this, bro. Would you have been okay with losing your vote? Right now? Yeah, at this point in the game.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Listen, bro, to my name i got 2015 toyota 400 and and i love that thing that's like all i got to my name really though like i don't got nothing else to my name i don't really own anything else i don't own the house that i'm sitting in right now i don't even really own this computer my mom bought it for me i guess i do now but like and when you're in the game you don't when you're in the game and your final 10 final nine bro you all you got is your vote you damn sure don't got a 2015 toilet 400 i'll tell you that right now you don't got anything out there all you have is your vote the last thing i'm okay with is losing my vote i'm not i'm not putting up for anything at the auction that i don't know what it is like
Starting point is 00:36:27 i'm not doing any of that stuff late in this game i can tell you confidently i am not okay with losing my vote right now because like we were talking about earlier five four it can dude dude if we're drawing sticks, these add up. These numbers add up over here. And it starts to get really dicey if we make this 4-4. And then somebody over here got a little bit greedy and would make it 3-4. But that's why I love when they throw these twists in the game because people get greedy, bro.
Starting point is 00:37:01 So you like the twist as long as it's not you. Oh, hey. I put my feet up on the desk, bro. So you like the twist as long as it's not you. Oh, hey. I put my feet up on the desk, bro. I'm going to watch everybody else. I watch everybody else like scramble for freaking, I don't know, save you without power. Like, I don't want that, bro. Somebody else can have that move because like Saul,
Starting point is 00:37:24 it was cool to watch him do it. He's not in the game no that, bro. Somebody else can have that move. Because Saul, it was cool to watch him do it. He's not in the game no more, bro. I'm trying to stay in the game with my vote. So it's a new year. You know what that means, setting big goals. Sammy, so you started a new tradition on Survivor 43, participating in this challenge where you went through it in duos every season since you all got it started. I think they've done this challenge where okay get a partner can you talk about so we saw how everybody had all different partners how did who was your partner and how did you pick them my partner was noel and um we we painted rocks different colors with like the tribe colors and we um we grabbed it like just out of a bag and yo that that challenge is so funny because it literally like it just it just widens it adds
Starting point is 00:41:40 so much of a dynamic to the game that i feel like people do not understand, yo, like, like seeing Sue and Genevieve, like on the, was it like the balance beam thing to get like, like, yo, like moments like that, you're in the trenches. Like you're literally in the trenches, like competing alongside somebody for immunity when you don't have any idea like like what is to come next or if there's like a light at the end of the tunnel like a reward at the end of it yo bro well chapelle i always said that this is like the squid game marbles uh that okay well pick your partner but you don't know what it's for
Starting point is 00:42:26 and now at the end you're gonna go head to head with them yeah you know we saw that everybody's point of view in the episode where you know it's like oh i'm gonna work with this person because socially i need to make this bond with them or socially we're good in the game and or i think they're really good at challenges and then you see the other person saying but i think i can beat this person and that's why i want to work with it now sammy it's bold of you to go up against an olympian and this kind of thing uh going up against noel were you confident that y'all were gonna be okay she got stuck in that it was the booty hole remember you know yeah that was nasty i would have been toast yo i would have been toast anyways like like and and and the thing about like it it just really gives you an opportunity to
Starting point is 00:43:07 let hey just listen my bad bro or or or to be like listen it's all good like we saw we saw um i think it was andy and sam like he broke the bag yeah he was like trying to like he like lifted too hard or something and jeff's like hey that's on you yeah yeah yo jeff gets like that bro he don't mess around dude like because because because he knows he knows andy's first instinct might be like hey yo like what's going on this is broke and jeff gets really yo because, they test it through and through, right. To make sure everything's good. So he gets really defensive as he should.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Uh, when, when people try to start like blaming something, I was like, so like, I think that was, that was, that was a funny moment for me to see,
Starting point is 00:43:55 like him being like super quick to like, this bird's like, Hey, no, like don't even try to say like, that's you bro. But, you know,
Starting point is 00:44:02 they do have a dream team and they test all the challenges, but Sam andy they they broke the bag and then i don't know did did anybody test the the challenge um like yeah It looks to me like we're getting some like hamstring curls in. That's polite. I don't really know how much sand is coming out or like if, if that thing is going to budge at all. Oh, well, we also had another moment in episode five i think it was with andy in the
Starting point is 00:44:47 challenge yeah with the knife with the knife where it was just a really he put himself in a precarious position but like at the end of the day if we're asking for a rating i'm gonna have to give it a 10 out of 10 yeah andy i gotta go 10 out of 10 just just for like style points have you guys ever seen somebody rip it like that i mean we're talking about i was talking earlier about them dancing around the votes that's the kind of dancing i'm talking about that's yeah yeah throw that ass in a circle andy you know he was doing what it takes he was doing what it takes to get that bag out of there, okay? H-O-T-T-O G-O
Starting point is 00:45:28 Yeah, tell Angela. I do like this challenge. I do like when they do this, though, because it really does make, it does make for a lot more of a fun, and then, like, you go out and win that thing, like, you and your, like, I remember, like, honestly, Cody and Gabler on my season
Starting point is 00:45:44 got really close because they're the last two to make it to the end of the challenge. And then there was that great scene where Gabler wins the immunity challenge. What was that like in the real time when Gabler was doing all those shout outs? I'm going to be honest. The first four were funny. The last 38 were annoying. Why was it annoying? because it wasn't you winning immunity absolutely bro but because i'm sitting there because i'm sitting there covered in mud
Starting point is 00:46:11 caked i'm caked in mud i'm caked from head to toe and and once he after the veterans it was after the veterans shot out when i was like okay he, he's already shouted out Ellie. He shouted out, uh, the veterans. He shouted out his, um, his buddy back from Idaho. Listen to this. This one's for my dog. My furry face son. Chappelle Gabler was the first one to shout out his dog at the crib. Shout out to my dogs. My furry face sons. Yeah. Cody. I mean, he made code coat like like he prompted jobs from Cody like yeah like like
Starting point is 00:46:49 he prompted a like Cody to tell a story about how he lost a high school wrestling match and yeah seeking vengeance and like in all seriousness truly I do believe that that moment was where Gabler earned Cody's respect and so so it's moments like this where Gabe and Kyle, right? Dude, they leave this challenge. They think, bro, and like they're doing great. I'm not saying they're not doing good. But, bro, they think they're trying to think of a better example than MJ and Scottie Pippen because they're not really
Starting point is 00:47:28 on good terms right now. I would say LeBron and Lee Wade. They're like, yo, bro, we just ran that thing. The survivor knows that this is going to happen, but people don't really look into it that much. It's just like, oh, they just
Starting point is 00:47:44 competing on the challenge together. Nah, nah bro because then you go to the bench you sit there quite possibly i mean this is another dynamic you sit there watching with somebody that you probably haven't even had a chance to talk to all that much yeah i mean then stew and genevieve could really chop it up i mean i'm just saying, bro. Yeah. All right. So Gabe in the challenge, it was then head to head, tip top toes between Gabe and Kyle. And Kyle was or Gabe was in the zone. Jeff tries to talk to him and he says this. You all right? Politely, Jeff.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Don't talk to me. You got it. Politely accepted. Politely. Chappelle, have you ever heard that? Politely, don't talk to me you got it politely accepted politely Chappelle have you ever heard that politely don't talk to me I mean that's something I would say but Jeff what are you doing I thought what happened to spicy Jeff that what does this Jeff with the knife is like don't talk to me yes sir I okay Gabe my bad politely yeah bro okay Gabe just like got Jeff together I mean this is the same Jeff they'd be be like, I'm sorry, brother. Nothing for you.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Like that, that Jeff really got shut down. I think he's getting a little, he's getting a little soft in his old age. You know what I'm saying? You know, like, well, you know, like when your parents are young parents, they are really strict because they don't know what they're doing. So there's like, Hey, the kids can't, they, you know, you gotta, you gotta keep an eye on these kids. But then when they're grandparents, oh, they just let whatever fly. It's like, what?
Starting point is 00:49:04 You can't be the same people who raised me. But this guy, Jeff, is acting brand new. Listen, bro, I got a little brother. He's four years old. Love him to death. His name's Kyler. Named him after Kyler Murray, Cardinals quarterback. Listen, I remember a time, and I appreciate it because I'm the best man I know at this point in time.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Aside from my grandpa. I remember a time in which if I spoke to my mom a certain way, I'm receiving a mouthful of soap and a pop on the lips. Yeah. Tyler, he lets it pretty loose sometimes. And all he ever gets is a simple little pat on the bottom that's all he that's all he gets no soap no tap on the lips and is the soap coming i hope the soap's coming i'm telling you right now i hope it's coming because again it's not i don't want i don't want him to i don't want him to turn I need him to be like me anyways. Jeff, listen.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yo, I remember feeling the same way as Kyle, though, respectfully. Or Gabe, excuse me. I remember feeling the same way respectfully. Because one of the more surprising things about the challenges is how annoying it is to hear Jeff talking all the time. I mean, love the guy's voice. Love hear him love that he's there but when you're in the zone it's really it's really hard to to to get out of it to like respond i thought this was a funny interaction though because i said i remember us doing a challenge that i thought was a little bit more concentrated where we were doing the uh uh, like the, like we had like dominoes, we had to hold the thing down and we were stacking the dominoes.
Starting point is 00:50:51 I dropped mine a little bit towards the top. And Jeff goes, Sammy getting frustrated. And I said, I said, Jeff, no, I'm not bro. Don't you worry about it. And he goes, I mean, i'm not even kidding for two three minutes straight like just monologues i don't even remember what half it was i remember these though i remember he goes i'm sammy i'm so cool i don't get frustrated I'm just playing the game. Like, just goes on and on.
Starting point is 00:51:29 And then he ends it off. He was like, love you, brother. And then I was like, dude, like, I'd already dropped it, like, twice by then again. And I was like, bro, I don't even. All right, bro. Like, I don't know. Yeah. Was this when you were doing the House of Cards thing? Where y'all stacked up?
Starting point is 00:51:47 That's incredible, because I probably would have told him to shut the hell up, too. Did you try to... Politely, Jeff, I'm going to ask you to be quiet. Politely, Jeff, go to hell. There's a lot of stakes. There's a lot going on. There's a lot going on, so I get it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:04 All right, well, so we get to the end of the challenge and gabe wins immunity and uh after that jeff explains everything gabe uh politely makes a request can i hit a dance for the people back at home please do can i hit a dance for the people back at home? Alright, Chappelle, here we go. Let me give a shout out to Dylan who did a side-by-side
Starting point is 00:52:34 here. Here is Gabe and Ray Lewis. Thank you, bro. Can I hit a dance for the people back at home? Please do. Oh my god! Hey! what do you think chapelle listen i who are me to to shut down somebody's squirrel dance okay uh he said he's gonna do a dance and i knew it was going to be the squirrel I knew this was coming Ray Lewis, this is a dance that he's made famous And Gabe famously is a Baltimore Ravens fan
Starting point is 00:53:11 So I saw this coming a mile away But the problem is Gabe is tired and hungry And he just doesn't have the same enthusiasm That Ray has You know, that's really what it's going to come down to If you look Ray puts his whole body into this dance
Starting point is 00:53:24 Give him some credit, bro I said it's good i'm just saying like i'm taking up for him i'm saying had he been eating got some rest not been on the island maybe not even been barefoot he could have destroyed this dance so do you see the side by side right now or no i don't really see too much of a difference except for the fact that one of them is 260 pounds the other one's's 140. But the one who's 260 pounds gets off the ground. Do you see that lift? You got to get up. Watch it again, Sammy.
Starting point is 00:53:52 It pains me that Sam is probably the only one that knew what was going on here. He broke the necklace, Chappelle. That's how intense it was. No, you got to get into it. But look, I support it, okay? Anytime you can shout out to one of the greatest Ravens of all time, I'm going to let you you but to sammy's point the camera goes from gabe doing his dance directly to sam and he looks like like like he is sick of it he's not he's not entertained
Starting point is 00:54:16 at all it's like okay titans fan i see you over there and sam bro like bro what do you want him to do a celebration of bro will levis is not i don't know I don't even know what it's like ever like he had a pretty good touchdown 98 yards this week he did but like that's Nick Westbrook a key name bro that's not him dog
Starting point is 00:54:38 yeah it wasn't the gritty that's what I wanted to ask you about so yes even in the chats is Sam gritted. I will say that. Yeah, but that's what I wanted to ask you about. So, yes, Stephen in the chat says, Sam gritted so Gabe could do that. You hit the gritty first. You did. Listen, I...
Starting point is 00:54:53 Did you... Are you a game changer, Sammy? Did you bring NFL celebrations into Survivor first? I brought gritty, like, I absolutely... Take credit. Listen, hey, first i brought gritty like i absolutely take listen hey this is you did it check this out guys i don't do this okay all right i'm gonna show you my personal text expose the text okay let's see my brother this is my brother mj okay this is my twin brother i don't know if people
Starting point is 00:55:19 know that i have a twin brother i didn't know that okay here i think we heard about it there was a couple twins on your season, right? It's backwards, but I'll read it for you. Okay, read it. Bro, you know what I just realized? This is February 2022. Okay. I said, I'm going to be the first person to ever gritty on Survivor.
Starting point is 00:55:37 That's what I said. Yeah. And, like, that's what I did. And like, that's what I did. And I wouldn't say I'm a game changer as far as the game of survivor goes. But if we're talking about celebrations, I brought Justin Jefferson out to Fiji with me. Gabe brought Ray Lewis out to Fiji with him. I don't know why Q didn't do a little.
Starting point is 00:56:03 I don't know. I don't know why he didn't just like do a dance just for the heck of it he should have did the Randy Moss the mooning you yeah he got homies anyways I think that this is like maybe reaching a little bit this might be like reaching just a little bit but you gotta be careful
Starting point is 00:56:23 you always gotta be a little careful like like chapelle just noted it like i'm not trying to reach i just i think these are the little social things you want to watch out for you want to be careful not to piss people off like yeah you want to be careful to not like like like bro you think sam super athlete like he loves loves i mean he's around pro athletes every day all day you think he wants to see somebody like Gabe, who he probably thinks he could beat one-on-one in basketball. Sam probably thinks he could beat Gabe one-on-one in basketball. I'm just saying it.
Starting point is 00:56:52 That's how it is. You think he wants to see him do a little dancey dance after he just, in his mind, got his chance ripped out to do that because the puzzle bag broke? You got to be careful, bro. But there's a time and a place. And the time and place for a gritty versus whatever Gabe did, you can always gritty whenever you want. Yeah. Gritty is universal.
Starting point is 00:57:14 This was a celebration dance. It's like he almost like he's like tap dancing on their grave a little bit, you know? But football beef runs deep, Rob. You know, like if somebody like makes the wrong football reference, then, you know, like I'm the Tom Brady of this. I'll be like, okay, I'm going to take you out of this game, Tom Brady. You know, like there's only so many references I'm going to let you make.
Starting point is 00:57:33 I'm not trying to retaliate. Listen, Chappelle, I'm really not trying to reach when I say that. I just think that's something to be said. Yeah. Now, Sammy, when you did the gritty, that was after your tribe won a tribe reward, right? That was not during an individual reward. It was during tribal. It was during tribe. So I kind of think that that's less, right? People are going to remember that your tribe is happy.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Your tribe is like, oh, look at this guy. He's hitting the gritty. What did I do? What did I do when I won an individual? Oh, I didn't. I didn't. I didn't win it. So I don't know what I would have done. I have no idea because I didn't win it. You forgot you didn't win the individual immunity. I thought I won.
Starting point is 00:58:14 No, I haven't forgotten. You were trying to remember what celebration you did. And then you realized, oh, wait, no, I didn't win an immunity challenge. Oh, wait, no, I never won. Sammy, do you think you can beat owen in basketball as someone who beat you in several immunity challenges i'm a hooper bro but like owen might get me is it like first one to score or what i don't know are you y'all playing 21
Starting point is 00:58:39 first one to score is it first one to score owen's going to beat me. If not, bro, Q, bro, done. Q, I'm calling out Q. I'm calling Q out, bro. Call him out. One-on-one, basketball, I know he, like, you could be a pro athlete. Hey, listen, you could play
Starting point is 00:58:58 pickleball with Tyson. That's cool. I'm here to hoop. Let's hoop. Let's play. Let's run one-on-ones. I'm doing to hoop. Let's hoop. Let's play. Let's run one-on-ones. Big mistake. Cap. Hey, listen. That's Cap? I'm here.
Starting point is 00:59:13 I'm here to – guys, I don't know how we got to this point, and I promise I'll let you get it back on track. But I'm going to make a proclamation right now, okay? You guys see what that says? It says BYU cheer, okay? Yeah. You know how long i've been doing cheer four months okay yeah i'm gonna make a proclamation that i samuel laodi am the most
Starting point is 00:59:32 athletic survivor contestant of all time and i'm i'm willing to take up anybody on that now would you take them individual immunity challenges because you know based on that you are not the most athletic you have several people who beat you in these challenges throughout your season what are you gonna say what most athletic. You have several people who beat you in these challenges throughout your season. What are you going to say? What are you going to say to these people that beat you in these immunity challenges that you call it out?
Starting point is 00:59:51 There was not several. There was less than seven people that beat me. Yeah, there was a few. It was a few. But what I would have to say to that is if it's a survivor individual immunity challenge, I'm switching bodies with Cassidy Clark. Like, let me just be cast for a day and I'll, I'll boss up on anything,
Starting point is 01:00:13 anywhere, whatever. It doesn't matter. I'll be anybody at anything. Cass is probably the most athletic woman I've ever met in my life. So, however, again, if we, if you're putting a ball somewhere, if there's a ball that needs to go in a hoop or that needs to go in my hands, guys, I'm telling you guys. What are you doing? What are you going to do?
Starting point is 01:00:32 Hold on. Let me go, man. Oh, you got gloves? Put me in, bro. Again, again, I'm going to tweet this at him. Q. I'm ready, bro. Where the one's at?
Starting point is 01:00:44 Let's go where the one's at. Council of Crips. him. Q. I'm ready, bro. Where the one's at? Let's go round one. Yeah. Okay. I would like to see it. I would like to see it. I personally, Sammy's a D1 athlete. For charity. I'm rooting for Sammy. Hey, for my forerunner. For my forerunner. You're putting your forerunner on the line? 2015?
Starting point is 01:01:01 I'm so confident, bro. Nah, don't do that. 2015 forerunner? Sammy, come't do that. 2015 4Runner? That's chump change to Q. That's all we got. Chill out, bro. Sammy. We're good, bro. What do you get if you win? Christmas is not canceled.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Then Christmas, you have to win to keep Christmas. Q will cancel Christmas. We're putting the stakes. I'm talking about I don't play for little stakes. I'm from Vegas, guys. I'm going to root for Q. Cancel Christmas? Where do I sign up?
Starting point is 01:01:36 Rob's a Scrooge. Sammy, I'm with you. I don't have to buy anybody presents. Hey, listen. All I know is if Christmas is canceled, Andy, who eventually is going to win the season, is going to save
Starting point is 01:01:52 himself a lot of money after he puts in that million dollars in his bank account. Right after, and you don't have to get gifts. How do we get you and Q in the same place? By the way, Q is going to be on the podcast this Wednesday night. Survivor. I'll be, I'll be here too.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Get the clip ready. Just give me a couple. Just give me a couple minutes. Yeah. You know what? Like real quick, like, let's just, I think this is a great way to wrap it up. Like, I just wanted to say real quick, like I love joking around. I love having fun.
Starting point is 01:02:29 When it comes to my athletic reputation, after I broke my ankle, my junior year of high school and never got to play football again, I've been seeking out vengeance. Yeah. And, listen, Q, these hands, they're ready to catch a little something other than a fade. I thought you were playing basketball against him, though. What are you doing? Chappelle, he played football.
Starting point is 01:02:50 I want to play football. I want to play basketball, too. You want to play football against him? Don't get me wrong. We'll play basketball, too. I'll just show, like, real quick, if you want to get a clip, like, go ahead, let's get a clip. Q, I challenge you.
Starting point is 01:03:01 One-on-one basketball. First to 11 wins. Make it, take it all day. Q, I challenge you. One-on-one football. First to 11 wins. Make it take it all day. Q, I challenge you. One-on-one football. We're running three routes each. Best of three wins. A, no slants.
Starting point is 01:03:12 We're not rolling. So who's the quarterback? How's this working, one-on-one football? I will choose a quarterback. He can choose a quarterback. I will have my quarterback. He will have his quarterback. Let me be your quarterback.
Starting point is 01:03:22 I got you. And how does this work? This is like a wide receiver skills competition? Yeah. It's like training camp. He played wide receiver at Ole Miss in college, and I play NCAA 25 on the PS5. So I'm ready to take him on.
Starting point is 01:03:40 And guess what? I will make another declaration. Okay. I will go wherever he wants. Yeah. You'll make another declaration. Okay. I will go wherever he wants. Yeah. You'll go. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:49 I have to be in Utah. I will go wherever he wants. Texas. You name it. Alabama. You name it. Hey, South Carolina,
Starting point is 01:03:55 North Carolina, Texas. It doesn't matter. I'll go wherever you want. Cute. Wow. I'll be a quarterback. I got you,
Starting point is 01:04:03 baby. I got you. I got you. You said that Save Christmas Yes You were going to save Christmas You were going to stop Q
Starting point is 01:04:09 From canceling Christmas And if he wins He's going to get your forerunner He will get my 2015 Blue Toyota 4Runner Your only possession In the world As you said earlier
Starting point is 01:04:18 In the podcast I really I really pushed back Against this But if you let me be Your quarterback I think we can take this I think we can take this.
Starting point is 01:04:25 I think we got it. We're going straight to Ole Miss' stadium. We're going to beat them at his own home. I have to keep it real. If Q's going to cancel Christmas, I'm rooting for Q. Rob, stop. What are you doing?
Starting point is 01:04:39 You ain't got no loyalty to me. Fine. Hanukkah can stay. Kwanzaa, you're good. So, Sam, you're just going to Sam just go give it out for him. Just no Christmas for a year? For a year? I feel like it was just Christmas. Your son just had his birthday, right, Rob?
Starting point is 01:04:54 They all just had the birthdays. They all ate, okay? They all had birthdays. They get Christmas again? Listen. It was literally just Christmas. I apologize. But when, when I'm not, I'm not
Starting point is 01:05:09 even going to get the cleats because Rob, if I go get the cleats that I'm going to wear, if I go get the cleats, I'm worried you're going to Dillard's tonight to buy gifts. No way. No way. No way. Q's got this. Q's got this. I can't wait to go tell. Hey, everybody gather around. I have some news. Q
Starting point is 01:05:25 beat Sammy Laotie in basketball and there's no Christmas this year. He's not beating him in basketball. He's not beating him in basketball. He's not beating him in basketball. Q, I didn't want to have to do it to him. It's getting real hot in here. It's getting loud and it's getting
Starting point is 01:05:43 hot. Q, You feel that? You see that? Look at them guns, baby. Come on. Hey, we're ready to go. I'm lining up. This man is thick. All right.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Let me stop right there. I'm not trying to give away too much. Right, right. This is YouTube. You don't have to put that behind the paywall. I'm so invested in this now. I don't know how we got to this pointwall. I'm so invested in this now. I don't know how we got to this point,
Starting point is 01:06:07 but I'm all for it. What's going on? Are you cupping? Yeah. So I actually want to speak on this for a second. Okay. People ask me pretty often if it works. Here's what I wanted to say about cupping.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Definitely a placebo effect. 100%. I don't think it really works that well yeah placebo effect is huge i mean seriously i i've gone in with very sore shoulders and walked out with very sore shoulders but then when if i really put my head to like okay this actually is doing really good as you see here the marks are really potent shoulders still hurts guys doesn't doesn't get rid of doesn't get rid of all of it sammy you have to explain to the chat what cupping is because they don't know and they think it's something sexual okay so okay so this is not somebody's mouth i don't really know who could
Starting point is 01:07:00 make these perfect marks actually i know I know a few. Okay. Well, like Adidas, Sammy's my Instagram. So anyways, cupping is, uh, you put like suction cups, like,
Starting point is 01:07:14 like, like pressure, like basically they put a lot of pressure on these suction cups to, uh, help release the blood flow in a certain part of your body. And, um, I'm going to be totally honest because
Starting point is 01:07:26 that's all i know how to be gotta be apart um it just looks really cool so when i'm at the gym and i and i have my cut off like this guys this is where this is where q falls short this is where q doesn't probably because he looks a little older than i do people come up to me they're like dude do you play for that you, do you play for the, you play football, you play for the football team. And unfortunately I have to then tell them, no, I'm a cheerleader actually, which is kind of like a, you know, it kind of hurts to say that sometimes. But basically it's like a really cool look,
Starting point is 01:07:58 but I sleep on my side when I sleep. And so my shoulders get really like the blood goes all up in there. But I mean, look, we've talked about it for five minutes now. It's a great talking point. Yeah, yeah, great. And, you know, we didn't even talk about your cheerleading on this podcast. I know. Listen, man.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Craziest ride ever of like I was studying for finals back in April. And I was just walking around outside. And I see this group of people stunts, like, throwing the girls up in the air. I'm like, dang, bro. Like, that looks kind of fun. So I go to the coach. I'm like, yo, like, what is this?
Starting point is 01:08:35 Like, I would like, I'm kind of interested. Like, what is this? She says, oh, you will love it. It's cheerleading. You throw these girls in the air. We give you a scholarship. We give you gear.
Starting point is 01:08:44 We give you a meal plan. My girl was like, Tony, shout out Tony Vlachos. My girl was like, bing. I was like, wow, bro. Like, that's huge. So, threw the girl in the air. Dropped her like four times. Thought I was never going to be good at it.
Starting point is 01:09:00 And then some of the guys just kept hounding me about doing it. And tried it again. Got her feet her feet caught her feet right here i don't do drugs guys i'm never going to no so people can just never people could just never ask me about that but that's about the closest thing i've ever felt to a drug is holding that ghost in the air and just hitting that stunt it's like what the easiest thing that you could do but i loved it and um yeah i just been that's been my journey i've been now i've been it's a lot of commitment i won't say that much definitely didn't expect to wait you can drag me out of bed before 11 a.m before now i have to be up by seven so it's a little bit but it's been fun it's been a lot of fun i want to see uh i want to see q cheerlead a little bit see if he can do that so okay well yeah um my algorithm i
Starting point is 01:09:55 was looking at uh your cheerleading videos one day and now all i get is cheerleading videos um yeah but sammy sammy you're doing the damn thing it's only been four months it's only been four months stay tuned on the tiktok everybody bro i'm gonna keep posting these like these little like tips man like i'm just trying to get i'm just trying to get everybody i want everybody to have this party trick just in the back of their like everybody can do it girls the girls the girls on my team like the all like the like the all girl groups, bro, undefeated. They're incredible. How much of the cheerleading comes down to having like, uh, how many guy anchors do you need?
Starting point is 01:10:36 We've got 10 on my team, which is like quite a bit, but also like decent. Like that's like the, for a, for a big team, that's like mostly what you would have. But the guy and the girl, you only have, if you're a guy, you only have one partner, right? In the girl groups, in the all girl groups, there's three girls and one flyer. That's what we call it. It's a flyer. So the flyer with the guy, one and one, the flyer with the all girls, three to one. And it's called co-ed and then all girl. And co-ed, you know, obviously I think co-ed's better.
Starting point is 01:11:14 I know what that means. Yep. That means drama, sticky situations. Yeah. Let me just tell you guys right now, okay? Let me just spit some game. I'm going to put my love glasses on. I'm going to put mine on too.
Starting point is 01:11:30 I'm a very secretive man, okay? I don't really get – I'm not a kisser and teller. Don't date cheerleaders, yo. Don't do it. Don't date cheerleaders if you're a cheerleader. I'm going to be honest. If you're not a cheerleader, don't date cheerleaders if you're a cheerleader. I'm going to be honest. If you're not a cheerleader, don't date cheerleaders. Is that true?
Starting point is 01:11:49 Don't date survivors if you're a survivor? Yes. I mean, absolutely. Don't do it. I mean, let's just do not date cheerleaders. Do not date survivors. There you go. If you're a cheerleader.
Starting point is 01:12:09 Date a survivor. Don't do it. Bad idea. Bad dynamic. You're really only bonding over one thing. If you're bonding over the cheerleading thing, it's even weirder than the survivor thing. Because like, I'm not speaking from experience at all by the way okay sammy can you tell us about free idea friday is that a thing you're gonna be doing all the time
Starting point is 01:12:32 you know what when people ask me who's the greatest of all time i tell them you i can't believe you just stop it stop playing stop your idea friday please um That's something that I started nine weeks ago now. And basically what it is, is I found out what entrepreneurship was about a year ago. And I've never been so infatuated with something in my life. I really love entrepreneurship. I love the fact that you can start something on your own and build it up to become your literal like living. That's what you like. That's how you make a living. I love that because I feel like I've got so many great ideas that just are waiting to be created. And if I'm scanning groceries, I'm wasting those ideas. So Free Idea Friday is funny because I'm giving my slogan is I give you billion dollar ideas.
Starting point is 01:13:26 All you have to do is not be lazy and do it yourself. But I'm going to tell you guys a secret. I'm going to do every single one of those things that I put on for your idea Friday. I am going to make all of those. They're not for the public. I know the public's never. They're on my Instagram right now. They're proving your point by not doing them.
Starting point is 01:13:42 Exactly. I'm trying to teach young entrepreneurs that this is only this. Yeah. That's all that this is. We need to put words into action. And I promise y'all, I'm going to be doing that. What's the best idea that nobody's doing that you're going to do? That I've come out with so far? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:03 Or, it's a great question you know what i hate to use this as a cop-out answer but given the season that we're in and everything that's going on right now yeah one of my cheer teammates actually just dropped i mean this is the beauty of free idea fr. People are giving me their ideas now. I mean, this, like, come on. What are we talking about? The one that's going to drop this Friday is going to change some lives. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:14:33 You're already ahead. You already know what you're doing for this week. It's only Monday. Oh, we know what we're doing for the next five weeks. Wow. It's in my notes. We're good. Like, we're locked in.
Starting point is 01:14:47 Black Friday? Will that throw off free idea Friday? What's that? Black Friday. Will that throw off the rollout? Absolutely not. No black Friday. Two ideas for free black Friday. Ooh. Yeah. I would definitely consider that. Um, we don't, we don't want to get willy nilly with it and go completely off track, right? But at the end of the day, Black Friday is really just a facade anyway.
Starting point is 01:15:12 I mean, it's really not a real thing. It's not what it used to be. Do you like Black Friday, Rob? You don't like Christmas. No, I do like Black Friday. Okay. I like Black Friday more than christmas my goal ultimately is when you get those things in the mail that say black friday i want to replace that with free idea friday like i want
Starting point is 01:15:35 to give out newsletters like like i'm i'm what i'm starting here is not it's not just to be the talk of the town it's to be yo this guy literally just I spent 20 years trying to come up with something and this guy just gave me one every week for 50 50 whatever weeks in a row so Chappelle I really appreciate you asking about free idea Friday as a matter of fact
Starting point is 01:16:00 I'm going to shout you out pretty soon wow yeah look I keep up with the content. Sammy, you not to steer this back to Survivor, but you talked about putting words to action. I really want to ask you about the scene where Rachel tells Sam that, you know, like, hey, I think it's going to be Saul. You know, she doesn't tell him. She lets him figure it out. And then she says, but do not blow up my spot. And then he immediately goes and tells Saul what's going on. Did that ever happen to you? How would you handle this situation? You got some insight, I'm sure. Yeah. Gabler did that to me with Ellie. Um, basically, basically I told Gabler, yo, listen, bro, we're voting Ellie. Don't even worry about it. Like, just, just do it.
Starting point is 01:16:47 Okay. Okay. Ellie, I go, I go to do a confessional. I come back. Ellie goes, you still like, yup. Need to talk to you, mister. She's like, I'm ready to talk to you, mister. And I was like, oh, snap.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Okay. So Gabler probably didn't keep a secret. Didn't keep a secret. Told her straight to her face everything I told her. She was like, I'm Sammy. Nothing bothers me. I'm Sam. I'm voting for Ellie.
Starting point is 01:17:14 Like, all that stuff. And I was so mad, dude. But what I think the best way to go about this is, like, with how Rachel had, like, with Sam. Just laugh it off. Laugh it off, bro. Yeah. Laugh it off. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 01:17:42 You're crazy. Because you know what? All that that did was tell me everything I needed to know. And and if you're in Rachel's shoes. We at least I don't want to say we know, but we at least have a very high hope that Saul is going home. We understand that's probably what's going to happen. So what does Sam going and telling him all about it really do? Aside from scare us that he's going to blow the whole thing up.
Starting point is 01:18:12 To me, all it does is be like, oh, Sam, dude, you're such a dummy. Like, sorry, bro. But like, you're toast. And he can't even be mad about it. It's like getting caught in the act it's like there's nothing he can like he can't not vote for rachel under the premise of you didn't tell me what was going on he cannot vote for her under the prep like to win i mean he cannot vote for under the premise of well you got me good yeah and the problem for sam is that he doesn't know that genevieve is the one who came
Starting point is 01:18:45 up with this idea so in his mind he's like okay well there's only five uh nine votes tonight so all right so i take uh me andy rachel we vote with lavo checkmate we got this yeah and like again beautiful behind the scenes work by genevieve beautiful behind-the-scenes work by Genevieve. Beautiful behind-the-scenes work. When something is happening and it cannot be traced back to you, it is beautiful. It is of beautiful essence. Because if the problem, if it got back to,
Starting point is 01:19:21 if the root of it got back to Genevieve, if it got back to, if the root of it got back to Genevieve, I don't know that Rachel is not completely set on, oh my gosh, okay, you like, fine. Like you, you screw this whole thing up. Like, what do you want to do? Like, what do you like, Rachel's not really a passive player like that, but like, like just when,
Starting point is 01:19:43 when things get back to like what the original plan was, like who like the originator of it was, stuff starts to get real messy. I want to go back to Saul and Gabe. They went on the reward together and they got to eat. First off, Sammy,
Starting point is 01:19:59 are these players getting to eat more than you all got to back in Survivor 43? Have they sort of like loosened up on the no food in these recent seasons? You know, I don't, you guys are going to have to help me out here. I don't remember earlier, like one through, right, days one through nine, there being too many rewards. No, not too many. But then they started, they gave them, they got a hot dog.
Starting point is 01:20:27 They got to win a hot dog. They got to go on a few different rewards. I mean, we're talking about episode, even episode five they had the Survivor Social Hour. What is that even? What even is that? I don't even know what that is.
Starting point is 01:20:44 But like, obviously I know what it is, but like why what even is that? I don't, I don't even know what that is, but like, like, like, like, like, obviously I know what it is, but like, why are we doing that? Like, like it's so different than when you play to me, like there's, there's so many different, I mean, you, you didn't play that long ago, but this game, there's so many different things that just wasn't going on in your season, you know, losing the vote as many times the social hour. We had the auction is it like the auction
Starting point is 01:21:06 when you come back for 50 are you going to be able to pick up the pieces and catch up to everybody else like because you're a little behind now i'm a chameleon dude i'll adapt to whatever is in front of me i mean like like the if the if if there's a purple rock and i gotta turn purple all i gotta do is touch the rock and i'll turn purple. But like, ultimately I like, like, like when it comes to like, like cupping, exactly. Just adapt. Um, what Rob like said, like, like, I don't know. I don't know if they're getting like, like overall if they're getting fed more or if there are just more
Starting point is 01:21:43 opportunities for them to be fed. Does that make sense? Like I would hate to say they're getting fed more or if there are just more opportunities for them to be fed does that make sense like i would hate to say they're getting fed more because that's like controversial and like conspiracy theorists kind of ish but like more opportunities being fed more i don't think that's a conspiracy i mean they absolutely could be but i do still see the same lack of uh i mean we just saw it on on gabe right like the we do still see the same lack of, I mean, we just saw it on Gabe, right? We do still see the same lack of energy. Same lack of constant motivation. Well, Gabe was the one person that had not really gotten to eat anything. He was the one person that didn't go to any of these other rewards that were out there.
Starting point is 01:22:22 Which is the worst, by the way. That is the worst. rewards uh that were out there which is the worst by the way that is the worst so i i i love i do love i mean i just just because at its core one of my favorite things was always like when i was watching survivor growing up and stuff like always is my favorite thing like to watch the food part of it yeah love. Love that every time. Cause it's just like, dude, it's watching somebody unwrap a gift without ripping the wrapping paper. It's just beautiful.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Wow. Like what you're going to be doing on Christmas, by the way, Rob, they don't, you think that you think everybody carefully opens the gift and appreciates each thing. It's a freaking orgy.
Starting point is 01:23:04 Where's the next one? Where's the next one where's the next one your kids are gonna be so excited that i have manian devils they're gonna be so excited that i saved christmas i'm gonna put a dartboard with your face on it and give it to them for christmas or what hey there's another thing i've got a dartboard downstairs q what's good bro i'm out what's good what's good i'm ready anyways um it's it's so it you don't think food matters till it does yeah like it doesn't matter rob i mean like you you had you had longer stretches that you had to go. Like, it doesn't matter until it does. Like, once, I mean, we saw it with Liz, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Like, the big freak out over it. And, like, it becomes very emotional. Very, like, Gabe is a chilled guy. He's a pretty cool guy. But you just, I'm telling you, bro, a couple of those times, he's sitting back guy but you just i'm telling you bro a couple of those times he's sitting back pressed okay well gabe and saul they got to both have some blts and they were getting into a pretty impressive burp off sammy have you ever gotten into a burping contest and could you beat Q? I have not gotten into a burping contest before.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Burping is not one of my strong suits. Now, if there was audio, video, and smell within this podcast, you would have already known by now that a farting contest is my jam. I can win that anytime I want. With that being said... Anytime you can control it? Absolutely. Yes. Yes, I can. I don't
Starting point is 01:24:58 want to see. I don't want to know. I take your word for it. Don't demonstrate. Chappelle was with me. Chappelle, have you witnessed? If you ever smell something so like vile during Owen's wedding – Oh, I do want to make it known real quick though. Bryce Isaiah farted in the middle of when they opened the doors. They opened the doors to let Owen and his wife in the venue,
Starting point is 01:25:21 and Bryce Isaiah let out a huge fart. It was absolutely absurd and the more absurd part about it is he tried to blame it on me. I can't believe you. He came to me and said No, I believe him. This is a big cover story.
Starting point is 01:25:37 Now Chappelle's trying to cover for you. Wait, wait. No, no, no, no. I didn't know it was Bryce until just now. Bryce told me it was you. Chappelle, thank you. This is the first time I'm hearing that it was Bryce. He came to me and was like, did you hear this? I'm here to hear my name. Listen, I don't – not a lot of untrue things are said about me
Starting point is 01:26:01 that I know of, okay? There could be a lot of untrue things behind my about me that I know of. Okay. There could be a lot of untrue things behind my back. I don't know about them. Bryce has been torturing. Like he tortured the entire New Orleans. Bryce is very demure. I don't believe this story at all. Nice try, Sammy.
Starting point is 01:26:21 I watch Sammy play Survivor. He can lie with the best of them. I don't know who to trust. You made it much further in the game than the Purple Pants badass himself. What are we doing here? You're calling him? You're calling Brightsy?
Starting point is 01:26:36 He's not going to pick up. He knows you got him. He don't want the smoke. He told me it was you. I thought it was you. I promise. I thought it was you this whole time. He knows. No, listen, Rob, to answer your question, I'm not a burper, okay? I'm a self-admitted farter, but, like, I'm a self-admitted farter, but none.
Starting point is 01:27:00 I'm not nearly as bad as Bryce Isaiah. I'm letting the world know right now. Bryce Isaiah is the worst farter ever. He literally farted in the middle of a couple's beautiful moment and almost ruined it for them. Are you recording a video? What are you doing? You got it, Bryce.
Starting point is 01:27:14 He's always airing them out. Yeah. Literally. I just sent Bryce. Okay. Anyways. The burp off. Gabe and Saul.
Starting point is 01:27:24 That should have been a bonding moment. I don't know how that wasn't a bonding moment for them. I think that Gabe was very insecure about that Saul's burps were mighty. Saul is a man, okay? That is a grown-ass man. He just got grown-ass man energy.
Starting point is 01:27:40 He's a cartoon burp. You start seeing Saul over there. It kind of feels like he's like marking His territory like man spreading you know He's like burping loud and showing like Who's boss you know it's like Alright alright You know what I'm starting to think
Starting point is 01:27:53 Yeah what's up I'm starting to think that these food things Don't mean as much as Hold on Oh no It's the world's greatest barter of all time Bryce Isaiah Bryce you farted at that wedding
Starting point is 01:28:10 you blame Sammy you told me it was Sammy who farted at that wedding he's on speaker I can't hear him can y'all hear me you told me Sammy farted at the wedding oh yes Sammy absolutely did fart at the wedding. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Sammy absolutely did fart at the wedding. Sammy. Yo, all I'm going to say is this. I'm not a weirdo. But the smell of his chair after he got up, bro, different. In the middle. In the moment of holy matrimony between a couple that has been waiting to get married for decades now, almost two decades. Well, that's actually a lie. They've been waiting to get married for about five years, and she forced.
Starting point is 01:28:56 Sammy is lying. They said, Owen, do you take Sammy? And Sammy said, hey. Everyone turned around. Everyone laughed. Everyone turned around. Everyone laughed. It was crazy. I don't know. This is some compelling evidence
Starting point is 01:29:11 from Bryce. Listen, the game, hey, for anybody that, for anybody that's out there watching that doesn't understand, the game is always going. This guy's playing the game right now. It's cool.
Starting point is 01:29:22 Hey, all right. Hey, Rob, Chappelle, I'll talk to you guys later. Hey, bro, you can tell everybody now. It's just me and you. You can say whatever you want. The way it smelled in that room was diabolical. Man, hey, hey. Okay, Bryce is sticking to the story.
Starting point is 01:29:38 You said what? Bryce is sticking to the story. He had me convinced it was you. I mean, literally told me that that was you that whole time I never knew that it was Bryce until I was today years old that's crazy man the service is breaking up hey Bryce the service is breaking up bro this is weird
Starting point is 01:29:54 alright bye Bryce bye Brycey wow oh man that was ridiculous what a lie that's crazy he came directly up to me and told me i didn't even ask everybody rob he was like did you hear sammy fart i was like what he said it's owen's parents yeah just owen's parents give me a break it was sammy i don't know everybody thought it was sammy wow i a break. Everybody thought it was Sammy.
Starting point is 01:30:25 Wow. I don't know. Wrongfully accused. Okay. All right. Let's check out some things from social media. And Saul tweeted out a moment from the episode when he was trying to get through the challenge and was having some trouble. He said, my ass is too big.
Starting point is 01:30:47 I saw this. Him and Andy got something else in common. Was it? I kind of enjoyed the my being capital. I don't know what it was, but the ownership. My
Starting point is 01:31:01 ass is too big. My ass is too big my ass is too big and i you thought you thought andy had that the cake but my ass is the one that's too big here i'll let you know it's definitive yeah um personally don't know well this guy probably inappropriate but i don't really care. I mean, Samuel, we know you kicked up, bro. You don't got to stand up. Yeah. Yeah, the man got it. He got them thangs on him. He got them yams.
Starting point is 01:31:30 Let's just, like, as a fellow badonker, I'll call us. Yeah. Didn't run into that problem ever. It never impeded your challengeability. Didn't have to squeeze through any tight places well i i guess i had to squeeze under like the little grate in the ocean yeah like oh it could have yeah but you're very buoyant though so last gas probably wasn't great for you wasn't great for me uh wouldn't have been great for me if i had a 16 foot straw where i could
Starting point is 01:32:00 breathe yeah and i think didn't you go home on that challenge after that challenge too isn't that the last challenge you did? Yeah. You got to lose that ass before you go on Survivor 50. That's too much junk in the trunk. Listen, I've put I've started when I go to Cane's, I start swapping
Starting point is 01:32:18 the coleslaw for an extra toast. That's the move. That's been the move. And I also swap the fries for another bread. That's too much. That's been the move. And I also swapped the fries for another bread. That's too much. That's why you got all that ass. You got to use some fries, baby. You can't do three pieces of toast at Cane's. It's crazy.
Starting point is 01:32:33 Less carbs, man. Less carbs. I'm telling you guys. I don't know, man. That's a lot. Less carbs than fries? I think so. That's a good question. I don't know. I need a scientist. Should I just go eat BLTs? Should I just go eat
Starting point is 01:32:46 a smash of BLTs? Sammy, the problem is you're getting the Caniac and you need to go back down to the box. If you go back down to the box and you can eat more bread, but you're getting the Caniac.
Starting point is 01:32:55 I know you. Absolutely. I need the large drink. Yeah. You get the sweet tea or the lemonade? What do they do there? Diet Coke. Diet Coke? You don't get the lemonade? What? Come on, man. You get the sweet tea or the lemonade? What do they do there? Diet Coke.
Starting point is 01:33:05 Diet Coke? You don't get the lemonade? What? Come on, man. No, the lemonade's got too much. It adds too much to the face. I need to see this jawline, bro. You right.
Starting point is 01:33:14 You right. Look, I don't see mine, so I'll get you. I feel you. I can see you. All right. Sammy, on Instagram, Survivor's been doing these interesting motivational posters after each episode. Here's one from this week's episode. And here it is at Tribal Council.
Starting point is 01:33:30 The best Survivor player can tell signal from noise. And I'm seeing a lot of noise right now. That was a Rachel quote, wasn't it? Yeah, looks like it. She ate that. She said, game recognized game. My face was recognized game the screen the whole time
Starting point is 01:33:47 this happened anyone else i love how they're engaging more yeah yeah it's like it's like they hired the interns jelinski said look how calm rachel lamont always looks yeah she does man i mean she's in a very interesting spot right in the middle you know like she got like all the crazy stuff is happening behind her and and that was another thing zami jeff is talking to them asking them questions while the whispering is going on is that something you experienced too where you're like jeff shut up i'm trying to hear what's going on behind me i've been loving the tribals um I've been feeling like, although it's hard to say now, like hindsight is 20-20, but although I feel like we knew probably what was going to happen within the vote,
Starting point is 01:34:32 I love how at tribal it's just been something different. I love when Rome got to do tribal. That was so awesome. So awesome. And then when Saul played the advantage like everybody bro like and Saul himself too like who did that? Sammy let me ask you a question. Okay.
Starting point is 01:34:54 Hold on. This is an important question. Sammy if you got to sit in Jeff's chair like Rome during tribal council, when Jeff got back in that seat, would it be a little warm? Oh, so. Funny enough, as you were asking me that question, I stood up for a half a second. And unfortunately, the reason I stood up is because I thought I had my seat heater on until I realized I'm not in my car.
Starting point is 01:35:37 I'm in an office chair. Yeah. That seat would be on fire with Jeff Probst. it would be on fire with jeff probst yeah i i don't know how i could sit in jeff's chair and not say dude i farted on jeff probst's you kind of have to do it it's like why wouldn't you say you kind of have to have that that feather now if you're asking what's the first question I would ask, as Jeff probes himself, I guess it would just have to depend on the situation.
Starting point is 01:36:11 But let's just say a constant one, just like put it in writing, would easily have to be who's going home tonight. I would just ask who's going home tonight. Yeah. And say you have to tell me because now I'm Jeff. I'm Jeff. You have to tell me who you're voting for. Go.
Starting point is 01:36:31 That would be awesome. It would definitely be warm though. Yes. It would be on fire. Would you say that you would be one of the better survivor players who can tell signal from noise and you're seeing a lot of noise right there or smelling a lot of noise right there or smelling a
Starting point is 01:36:45 lot of noise i actually unironically do think that one of my best traits is reading people's body language i think i'm i think i think i'm good at seeing a lot of the noise that they're speaking to here um i can tell my mom is mad at me i can tell when a girl is mad at me i can tell when how can you tell what do you say it's not a girl she's your mom okay so this is different as he can tell when his mom is mad at him and when a girl is mad at me if when i call her her initial was hello hey sammy as opposed to sammy which is usually what it is which is respectfully what most people should answer my phone calls as because like is that what bryce answered absolutely sammy it's like different tonages but people have to understand i don't have all day to
Starting point is 01:37:47 talk on the phone so you like appreciate this get to the point girls mad at me when the text back after the 37 minute mark they're upset i'll give you 37 minutes of leeway to not look at my text. But after 37 minutes has passed, I don't know a girl on the planet Earth that can go 37 minutes without looking at their phone. Okay, so you know she's read the text, but if you don't hear back in 37 minutes,
Starting point is 01:38:18 you know she's mad. She's upset. She's upset. I'm telling you guys. Why 37? How's 37 the magic number? 37. She's upset. I'm telling you guys. Why 37? How's 37 the magic number? Love the asset. Love the asset.
Starting point is 01:38:30 20 minutes is unreasonable. I've gone more than 20 minutes without looking at my phone right now. 30 minutes is quite possibly like a challenge that somebody's doing like oh i'm not gonna look at my phone for 30 minutes yeah and you just typed it like right in the middle of the i'm not gonna look at my phone for 30 minutes challenge right and you can't fault them for that yeah that's not fair and then they had challenged three people at the end of it they call out who who they're picking to do the i'm not gonna look at my phone for 30 minutes challenge yeah yes yes and like you're not gonna i'm not like if i get that text I'm not going to look at my phone for 30 minutes challenge. Yes.
Starting point is 01:39:08 If I get that text, I'm not turning down that challenge. I'm not going to be the one friend to mess up the chain. 35 minutes? Ooh. Okay. The 30 minute challenge is over. You've got five minutes to look on it again. The reason 37 is the magic number
Starting point is 01:39:24 is because once it hits 37, that's when self-control is just not there for 99% of people. Yeah. Especially for, you know, people my age. Right. People my age. We're not going 37 minutes. I think I'm at like 32 minutes right now. See, I'm actually going to look at my phone real quick.
Starting point is 01:39:53 I mean, you just talked to Bryce two seconds ago. So you've just looked at your phone. Yep. So anyways, with that being said, I think I'm great at seeing the noise. I think that's something I'm pretty good at. Somebody else, somebody I want to mention
Starting point is 01:40:10 really quickly that I think is great at letting you know. Somebody else that's great at that is Carolyn. Carolyn's great at that. Carolyn Weiger from season 44. She's fantastic. She's great at what. Carolyn Weiger from season 44. She's fantastic. She's great at what?
Starting point is 01:40:26 Seeing the noise. Seeing the noise. Got it. I thought you meant responding within 37 minutes to your text. She takes way longer. She takes six to seven hours. But hers isn't because she's mad at me. Well, no, actually it is because she's mad at me.
Starting point is 01:40:41 As a matter of fact, literally the last text that she sent me was um girl call whenever and i have not called since then so that's my that's my fault but yeah yeah she's there whenever you got time all right let me share another clip from social media uh this one really made the rounds a lot of people uh saw the clip of President Joe Biden this week in my old stomping grounds. Stop by the Amazon rainforest. And a lot of people are wondering if maybe Joe Biden has his next job lined up as the host of Survivor. What do you think, Sammy? Got the shirt?
Starting point is 01:41:24 Can we roll it or no? Yeah, roll the clip. Here we go. There you go. I love it because that's from all that I need to see. Yeah. Give him a baby blue Columbia shirt
Starting point is 01:41:50 and a tiger tooth, whatever that thing is. Yeah. Okay. What vote? What vote is he reading though? Right now? I think he's going to go tally the votes. I think
Starting point is 01:42:05 he's just leaving. Oh, with his hand in his pocket. That's kind of player. Now, when you leave the Amazon, you're supposed to get on a jet ski. What are you doing Biden? Yeah, I don't I don't get this. How does Jeff Roach leave Fiji? I've never seen him leave. He doesn't.
Starting point is 01:42:21 Yeah, he doesn't. He just lives there. Yeah, just bring in the next group of survivors. We should call him next. He doesn't. Yeah. He doesn't. He just lives there now. Yeah. Just bring in the next group of survivors. What if we should call him next? Should we call him? No, okay. You call Jeff Probst. Get him on the phone. Go ahead. We'll be here. We'll be here. Okay. I'll just wait. I'll just wait.
Starting point is 01:42:37 And then I got another good one for you. Alright. And then this weekend was the big fight. Jake Paul and Mike Tyson and a certain survivor legend weighed in. The real coach Benjamin, Coach Wade
Starting point is 01:42:53 said, you like picking fights with 50 year olds? I challenge you to try to slay this dragon. I bet you couldn't beat me in the ring at Jake Paul. Are you ready for coach the Jake Paul? No, I've seen enough from coach.
Starting point is 01:43:12 I want to see coach versus John Jones. Who's the greatest UFC fighter all the time. I think coaches route goes as follows. Fight Jake Paul, knock him out in the fourth round. Okay. After that, I don't see anything stopping him from fighting Conor McGregor or John Jones in the UFC. I'm taking Coach Wade over everybody else.
Starting point is 01:43:38 Wow. I will pay. Can we put it on? Can we stream it on YouTube or something? Can we not we not do netflix sure yeah we can't do netflix they can't handle it we tried yeah it wasn't great we gave him a shot it was it was like so you take on q in the undercard yeah no that's the main event hold on hold on on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I got you. I said earlier. I said earlier, these hands catch more than just fades. I said that part. After we settle this on the basketball court, after I go to your hometown football field and settle out there,
Starting point is 01:44:24 After I go to your hometown football field and settle out there, I will train Q for months upon end. He's going to say to himself, why is this guy so obsessed with me? Q, I'm not obsessed with you. I want to break you. Break him, baby. I want to break you. We will do a charity boxing match with Jake Paul as the undercard. Okay. So wait, you said you're going to train Q. We will do a charity boxing match with Jake Paul as the undercard.
Starting point is 01:44:47 Okay. So wait, you said you're going to train Q. Q is going to fight Jake Paul? I'm fighting Q. I will train to beat Q. Oh, you train to beat? I thought you said you were going to train Q. No, no, no. Sammy's going to take Q to the mat. Once I defeat him,
Starting point is 01:45:05 now, I'm not talking about a street fight. I'm talking about a sanctioned boxing match, okay? In the ring? I'll be honest. You'll take me in a street fight, okay? I'll just be honest. But once I defeat Q in this boxing match, then we'll begin our road to defeating
Starting point is 01:45:25 Jake Paul. Q is going to be the one to do it, because I'm hiking it up after that. So you're going to box Q, and then you're going to train Q, and then Q is going to fight Jake Paul. Yes. It's going to be Rocky. It's going to be Creed 4.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Well, could you and Q take on Jake Paul and Logan Paul? Oh, like a tag team match. Do we want to do QV2 in the same ring, or do we want to do one and then one? Because it depends on... I mean, tag team boxing, Chappelle, have they ever tried that? That sounds
Starting point is 01:45:57 exciting. It sounds cool. There you go, Sammy. Look, Sammy's from Vegas, so you could take this and probably make some money off of it. Listen, listen. If we can make the ring a little bit bigger. Yeah. And I'm allowed to wear purple shorts, boxing shorts. Got to. Got to.
Starting point is 01:46:18 Purple pants. Come on. Dude, me and Q, it's going to be the craziest turnaround from this guy. Sammy dominated him at every sport. And now they're teammates in this crazy boxing match. Yeah. And their chemistry is off the charts. But that's like Andy and Rachel maybe coming together now to make a run for the end of the show. Yeah. If Andy and Rachel can hold a candle to what me and Q are going to do in this
Starting point is 01:46:45 world, then good on them. I'm grateful for that. If they can do that. I support it. I support it. Beautiful. Yeah. I'm great. Sammy, do you ever hang out with Jelinski? I know y'all from the same hood. Absolutely. Matter of fact, was having some was having some uh some girl troubles if you will yeah and jelinski the first person i got went on ahead and gave a ring to yeah and how was his advice his advice was great he uh really helped me to open up and understand the, the lack of fault that was behind myself.
Starting point is 01:47:28 Yeah. And I really appreciated that because he said, Sammy, you're a dog. And I was like, you know what, bro? Like anyways,
Starting point is 01:47:39 look, this is, this is Jelinski. This is love. Let's see. Last week. This is Jelinski and my little brother, actually. That's Kyler and Jelinski.
Starting point is 01:47:49 Little Kyler. Hold on. Let me see. There you go. Kyler and Jelinski, man. Right at lunch together. And guess who paid for all this? Jelinski. Wow. Yeah. Make Jelinski do it. Hey. Great guy.
Starting point is 01:48:04 He's been busy at work, though. He's's been busy at work though. Real busy at work. He came on the podcast last week. He, uh, you know, he's highly of you. So we was happy to get y'all. I gave him a little listen. I get genuinely like, like no, no funny business. The best thing about survivors, the people that you meet after the fact, like you two are a great example of that. Like you, the best thing about it is the people that you get to create connections with after it's all said and done because the game the game comes and goes and like
Starting point is 01:48:28 season 43 and season 45 and six and seven like nobody's gonna be talking about that from years from now but you know i'm gonna be talking about bryce farting years from now i'm to be talking about Bryce farting years from now. I'm going to be talking about Rob, how expensive his Christmases get when his kids get older. Just from now. These are the things that matter. I'm hoping Q gets Christmas canceled every year. I mean, I just tell my family,
Starting point is 01:48:57 I don't win or lose. I'm going to tell them Q1. I think. Yeah. You think they're going to fact check? You think they're going to go watch? We'll do this every year. Every year. Yeah, it's like
Starting point is 01:49:09 Groundhog Day. I'll pay you to throw it. Oh, man. He can't do that. He's from Vegas. He can't take a dive. Now, we're talking. No, Sammy, please. I do have a broken ring line over there that says
Starting point is 01:49:25 I might need that. But I will personally call Jesse Lopez and have him make sure that your kids understand Christmas is indeed not cancer. Okay. All right. So, Chappelle, anything else you want to say before we wrap it up for tonight?
Starting point is 01:49:43 No, this was fun. Great time. I'm really enjoying it. Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Of course, I enjoyed talking to Sammy here, but enjoyed the episode. I'm liking the characters, but I'm right. I'm with Sammy. Just turn up the drama a little bit.
Starting point is 01:49:57 They're playing nice. I want to see them. I think they will, too. No, they're doing fine. They're doing fine. Turn it up. They're doing great. It's been entertaining.
Starting point is 01:50:05 It's been fantastic. It's been fun to watch um i think my sleeper pick to win uh obviously i want andy to win very badly yeah my sleeper pick is caroline right now yeah i can see it just like doesn't really seem to have too much heat i think genevieve it could stand to be seen if she catches heat or not from the saw move. I think Caroline though has the best of both worlds. I think she's playing without a whole lot of strings attached and it's a great position to be in. Just saying. Okay. All right. Well, great job, Sammy. Where can people check out a free idea Friday and much more?
Starting point is 01:50:43 Yeah. Guys, Instagram, Layati, L-A-Y-A-D-I dot S-A-M-I dot Sammy. Um, literally just farted as I was saying that. Wow. Um,
Starting point is 01:50:54 take talk, take talk is Sammy, S-A-M-I Layati, L-A-Y-A-D-I underscore. Go ahead and just go check it out. If you don't want to follow us, you literally may as well, because you're going to be following in the next couple of years anyways.
Starting point is 01:51:09 That's the way I look at social media. You don't have to follow. Algo is going to get you. It's going to get you eventually. And whether you know it or not, you're going to follow Sammy, guys. Just how it is. That's just how it is.
Starting point is 01:51:22 Your mom's probably already knew. Yeah. Look, your TikTok doesn't have an underscore at the end of it. Okay. Sammy Leotti. No underscore. Me and my mom, we follow it.
Starting point is 01:51:34 I'm just saying. Chappelle is my manager, so I appreciate that. Wow. Listen. Cheers. Cheers. That's what he does. Wow. Same to you. Listen. Cheers. Yeah. Cheers.
Starting point is 01:51:46 Cheers. That's what he does. One more thing, guys. What is it? Go Cougars. Go Cougars. BYU just lost their first game of the season.
Starting point is 01:51:54 Listen, man. Never been so proud to be a Cougar. Go Cougars always. Go cheer. Go America. I love a Cougar. So yeah, this is perfect.
Starting point is 01:52:04 Go Cougars perfect go cougars all right uh chapelle and i on nothing but netflix yesterday talked about a brand new movie number one movie on netflix hot frosty chapelle there was a push at my house for the whole family wanted to watch hot frosty they didn't know how horny it was they didn't know they didn't know i think it might be over their head the whole i mean the man is the man is shirtless in the snow for most of the movie you know i think it's gonna like it starts to ring true but it was a fun time we talked about it it was the number one movie on netflix and it's kicking off our holiday season here on rjp because uh i'm pretty sure there's gonna be a lot more holiday content despite sammy saving
Starting point is 01:52:43 christmas uh i'm pretty sure we'll be talking about the holiday movies well into December. Even if Q cancels Christmas. Yo, there's a show. It's called Finding Mr. Christmas or something like that. Finding Mr. Christmas? Okay. Or Finding... It's called Finding Something. It's a reality show
Starting point is 01:53:06 yeah about casting like a hallmark the next hallmark person how would you do on that show I'm gonna give a full body stare Mr. Christmas
Starting point is 01:53:22 let me do that let me do that. Let me do that. I'm winning the show and I am, I am going to be one of the most iconic Hallmark character lead actors. I'll be the, I'll be the boyfriend that I'll be the, the, will they won't they boyfriend that they don't ever get together. I'll be the will-they-won't-they boyfriend that they don't ever get together. I'll be the main boyfriend. I'll be the side character boyfriend
Starting point is 01:53:48 that makes things complicated in the hometown. I'll be whoever I need to be. Yeah. I don't care. How did Jenny miss this, finding Mr. Christmas on the Hallmark Channel? I don't know, but I think they're up to episode five at this point.
Starting point is 01:54:02 So, you know, they're looking for the next person. And I think Sammy would be a good idea. When it's casting, I'm ready. And also for our friends in casting, that MILF Manor season three. We got your guy right here. Listen, you got your guy. I'll host it. I don't know what MILF Manor is, if I'm being honest.
Starting point is 01:54:22 But it sounds like, I mean, I'll just be blunt and frank. I don't think my mom will make it to the end of this podcast. So bring the MILFs to my manner and we can honestly, we can, I can figure out how to make it entertaining from that point on. As its manager, I will gather the MILFs. No worries. We'll talk about it. I love it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:44 Okay. Chappelle, what else is coming up for you uh catch me on recap kickback it's my podcast where i'm talking about whatever i want to talk about mari and matt scott and i talked about beauty in black on netflix it's a little nsfw but we talked about it on and it's on our youtube page on recap kickback so check that out and then this week we're gonna have some holiday content coming your way as well.
