My name is Mike Bloom. We are back. Happy Monday everybody.
And if it's not such a happy Monday for you, I've got two Survivor 48 Preseason Interviews to help the medicine go down just a little bit smoother as today, I finish up my interviews with the Loggy Tribe by talking with Star and Thomas.
Now of course if you missed my interviews with the other four members of the Loggy Tribe
which includes Bianca, Eva, Joe and Shaheen, be sure to check that out in the archives
and also to make sure you don't miss a second
of any future interviews or podcasts. Be sure you're subscribed in all forms and mediums.
You can go to weknowsurvivor.com to make sure you're subscribed on the podcast side of things
and RobHeadsAwebsite.com slash YouTube to take a look at all of the video versions of
these interviews. And this first person we're talking about today,
I will say, you may want the visual to go alongside
the audio version because it is an excitable,
it is an energetic one.
A star was born, I guess I should say, 28 years ago
because we're talking about Star Toomey,
who is 28 years old.
Star currently lives in Augusta, Georgia, but she
is actually originally from Monrovia, Liberia, and she is a sales expert. I will let her
explain exactly what that means, as well as why she feels like she has what it takes to
take home the million dollar prize and truly show off her
star quality.
Without further ado, here's my interview with Star.
Why don't you give me your name, your age and your occupation.
I got you.
So my name is Star.
I am 28 and I do sales.
I'm a sales expert.
So I sell you your internet.
I sell you your cell phones and apparel like phone cases.
Maybe if you're feeling phone
casey a headphone maybe whatever I can get out of you I'm definitely gonna try to sell it.
Interesting how long have you been doing that for? I've been doing sales for three years now
September will make it four but it's something that just kind of fell into my lap I was stuck
between what do I really want to do and then I went to school for communication
so I'm like talking sales, it goes hand in hand so I jumped into it and so far so good,
I haven't left yet.
Yeah, what have you sold your coworkers on in terms of this?
Are you like, I'm going on vacation for a month, don't ask any questions.
So really from jump I already was like, hey boss I just want to know, you know I got a
kid right, I'm going to be leaving soon just to take some time off, just to, you know, get, really get into him and
get to know him a little bit more. And she was like, yeah, take all the time you need.
You have to get that bonding. And I'm like, perfect. Newborn act, that's what I use. And
I love it because that's the whole point of corporate, right? You have to know how to
really work the system. I mean, I'm proud of it.
I put my time in, I'm using all my PTO and all my FMLA.
I'm here to have a good time, all right?
So, are you a new mother?
Yes, I am.
So, my wife actually did the pushing.
Thank God for her.
But I am a new mother.
My son will be actually one in two weeks.
So, his birthday is July 8th. Wow, congratulations.
So, we'll see.
Hopefully I'm still here.
But yeah, thank you so much.
He's really good, his name is Civil Morris.
He's top notch, no stop.
He's the best baby I've ever met.
And I've met some pretty good babies.
But so far he's actually topped all the other babies I've met.
There we go, number one baby.
I mean, I as a father myself, I know that like,
yeah becoming a parent just like.
It changes you. It changes the way you view the world, you know? When I became a parent, I as a father myself, I know that like, yeah becoming a parent just like, it changes you.
It changes the way you view the world, you know?
When I became a parent, I decided I wanted to go
and become a millionaire right behind it.
So he's actually a blessing.
I would not be here if it wasn't for him for real.
Like, it was just, it was the middle of the night.
My wife was so tired after all the breastfeeding
and all the late nights.
And so she would sleep.
I said, I would stay up with him.
Put on Survivor. We were gonna binge Survivor for the time that, you know, the breastfeeding and all the late nights. And so she would sleep. I said, I would stay up with him. Yeah.
Put on Survivor.
We were gonna binge Survivor for the time that,
you know, the first weeks that she was on maternity leave.
So I'm watching Survivor, it's 12 a.m. at night.
Silver's rocking him to sleep.
I'm rocking him to sleep.
Next thing I know, Jeff says,
"'Do you think you have what it takes to be on Survivor?'
I looked around, I looked up, I looked down,
and I said, yes, I do.
Yes, I do.
By 3 a.m. I put my recording in,
and I did what needed to be done.
And here I am talking to you,
so I must've did something right.
Absolutely, so then when did you start watching the show?
What's your history with Survivor?
So that's the funny thing,
I honestly did not start binge watching it
until Silver Mars.
Like really, I've always known about the show,
but I never really put much attention to it.
It was probably playing in the background when I was a kid.
Maybe at somebody's house, maybe, but never on my own.
But whenever, I'm a movie person.
I love TV shows.
I love movies.
I love binge watching.
If you want to see what I'm doing, I'm watching TV.
99, 100% of the time, I'm watching TV.
I'm not outside.
If I'm outside, I have my iPad, my tablet. I have something where I'm watching TV. I'm not outside. Yeah, if I'm outside I have my type my iPad my tablet
I have something where I'm watching TV. Yeah, so I have I told my wife
We're gonna watch the library because they were playing like non-stop commercials like what's the Bible right now Paramount Plus and I'm like
You know what? I'll watch the Bible and that's what
That is amazing it's like it's literally like it was written for me to be on here.
Like I said, he was talking to me.
Yeah.
Jeff was talking to me.
So then was it like a little drip
and then you were all in?
Did you watch all the seasons?
I watched all the seasons.
Wow.
Like I said, once I was all in,
I would say by season,
I know by season 12, I had already applied.
Wow.
And after applying, my wife,
she will bet a million dollars on this.
We watched that morning up, morning down.
Wake up, Survivor's on.
If I fell asleep, she's telling me what I missed
and we're running it right back.
It was basically like, it's Feetings and it's Survivor.
It's Feetings and Survivor and it was nonstop.
It's playing and she's like, I'm like, babe,
we're watching Survivor until I get the call,
and even when I get the call, now we're studying Survivor.
So sure enough, Survivor has not shut off the TV yet.
I promise you, they're probably still watching,
and now they're waiting for me so we can watch us too.
So yeah, we're watching.
So then, let's look back upon all your recent binging.
If you could give me a winner and a non-winner
who you identify with the most,
personally and strategically, who's it gonna be?
Oh, see why you hit me with those questions because I'll tell you, from the before, before
I watched season 42, Sandra Diaz Twine.
After watching season 42, Sandra Diaz Twine and Mary Ann.
That's my goal right there and I feel like it's a good balance because I'm a Libra.
I always say all the time, I hate this, the Libras always say I'm a Libra.
But anyway, I'm a Libra, I'm all about the balance scales.
I'm serious, I can be serious.
When I'm trying to get that money,
I'm trying to finesse somebody into buying this phone
or maybe I might be running late to work
and now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna tell my boss.
I'm serious, but I also had to have a good time.
Like Mary Ann, she was goofy, she was funny,
but at the same time, they always underestimated her
because they thought that she wasn't playing the game,
but the whole time she was, and that's what I'm about.
Most times people don't think I'm paying attention.
Other times they think I'm just goofy,
but no, I know what's going on.
I'm just making you think I don't know what's going on.
What's your favorite moment in Survivor history?
Did it have a Sandra or Mary Ann moment?
No, actually, my favorite moment in Survivor history would Did it Sandra or Maryann moment? No, actually my favorite moment in Survivor history would be whenever Chris
won the fire after coming off of, I think it was Edge of Extinction.
That's right. Yeah. And he won. Like that was crazy. Like, yeah, he won.
He made the fire like that right there. And also to, um, season 46.
Now when, um,
Kenzie was going up against Liz and she made that fire.
That was actually pretty dope as well.
And then the ending for Maryann when she won
and she was like telling everybody at the tribal council
why she should be, that's where I felt that energy.
I felt her cause she's like, I don't know.
I've been playing this game since day one.
So it's just like moments like that.
Not even just from the new era.
All of Survivor has changed.
You don't get the same season,
you don't get the same show,
you don't get the same Jeff.
Jeff pulled out a pillow and got comfortable
in season 46 since when, as he did that before,
he gave out snacks.
You don't even know what to expect.
Survivor is always something new and fresh,
and that's why I love the show,
and I think it is honestly the best show.
And I'm not just saying that because I'm on it now.
I mean it's good brand representation.
I told you I'm a movie TV connoisseur.
Yeah.
I know what I'm talking about.
What's your favorite shows by the way?
Let me touch the connoisseur.
Charmed.
Charmed.
The original.
The original, yeah.
The reboot's cute.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The reboot's cute.
I mean I watched it, you know,
cause I'm a loyal charmer.
But I love my piper.
Yeah, my wife's a huge charm fan as well.
And she knows, she knows.
I've been watching Charm.
I promise you, I've probably binge watched Charm
like a billion times.
That's how deep I love it.
I've been watching Charm since I was a kid.
Wow.
So yeah, I know pretty much all the episodes.
I could watch it and be like,
oh, Prue's about to jump off.
Yeah, mm-hmm, yeah, Phoebe, yeah,
she about to have a premonition right now.
Mm-hmm.
Ha ha ha.
Talk to me about your preparation for this experience,
because it seems like your life has been through so many
different things over the course of the past year.
When you add Survivor onto it, what did you
do to try to prep for this occasion?
Well, of course, I actually learned how to swim.
My brother taught me how to swim.
I've always said that I'm a tall person that
just stands in the water.
I never knew, never needed to swim. Don't always said that I'm a tall person that just stands in the water I never knew never needed to this don't know
I don't go past six feet once I get that six two three and I feel my feet leaving the ground
I go back to where I can stand comfortably right at that six foot six one area mark
Never failed me before but once again survivor is a competition is a challenge's a game show where your water, your land, your air,
you really don't even know.
He could say, we're jumping off the airplane today
and we just gotta jump, I don't know.
So with that being said, I just wanted to be prepared
and I felt like the best way for me to be confident
in swimming because I would hate to be the weak link.
Most times you see somebody carrying
that extra body in the water and it just looks so sad.
And I don't wanna look sad. And I don't want to look sad.
So I had to learn how to swim.
Anything else you did?
Make fire, practice the puzzle?
See, that's so the, my wife got me that, okay,
so I don't know if you, well, I'm sure you know,
is this one in the, where they're doing the maze
and you gotta put the ball in the maze.
So she got me like a smaller, smaller version of that maze
and like, you just gotta put the two balls in
The middle so I've been definitely going crazy on that. I didn't make fire. That was my only downfall
But you love the fireman challenge. I didn't make fire because of two reasons number one
My wife told me I couldn't make fire in our house and I feel her
And then number two would not the only other place I could make fire is my mom's house and that's a valid concern. You know, and then number two, the only other place I could make fire
is my mom's house.
And that's a far drive.
So I just couldn't do it.
But I also said that I'll learn on the island
because I feel it'll make me more intimidating
if I've never made fire at all.
And here I am, and you know,
everybody's making fire here and there.
And I'll be one of those people that's making fire,
so maybe that'll make other people not wanna pick me
for the fire because they see me already doing it.
So it's like, I'm like that.
You don't wanna go up against me.
I make fire for fun.
What are you talking about?
So they don't need to know, I don't know.
And on top of that, we gotta fight for the flint anyway.
So once we win the flint, we can go from there.
If we don't win the flint,
we might be trying to make fire with our bare hands.
We'll see.
What's one life experience you feel
has prepared you most for the game?
Ooh, I think,
hate to get so deep, but I really feel like,
I really feel like, it might sound cliche when I say it,
because a lot of people has lost people in their lives,
important people in their lives. But I really feel like losing my father, the
death of my father, I appreciate that, the death of my father helped me and prepared
me for this moment here because you're alone on Survivor, you're by yourself on
Survivor, yeah these people are nice but it's up to them to be nice to you, if I'm
crying in the corner nobody has to come and pat me on the shoulder, nobody has to
tell me it's okay, that's not their job. This is Survivor, you want them to cry,
you want them to want to leave.
That's the whole point, and you're just good people,
so of course, hey, it's okay, but is it really genuine,
you know, but I feel like I had to heal myself.
I had to pick myself up from my coattails
and tell myself to get up, tell myself to do
what I need to do, not just for me, but for my family.
All my family, not just my wife, my mom, my brother, my sisters.
I had to prepare for all of that
because I took on the strong suit when my father died.
I feel like I am my father, like a girl version of him.
And so I carry everybody under my wing like a mama bear
and I just wanna protect all of them.
But how can you protect everybody
when you're literally falling into pieces?
You have to pick yourself up and get it together.
If not, you're really fucked.
Well, that's the thing, right?
When you're on a plane and the oxygen bags come down,
they say put it on yourself.
You put it on yourself first, exactly.
For somebody else, so.
And I found myself drowning in everybody else's,
trying to save everybody else.
But when I was literally drowning,
looking for somebody to save me,
nobody was there because I put on the face
to where you don't even know I'm really struggling, you don't know I'm sad today
because I'm laughing and smiling.
And those like you said, check on your happy friends too.
So once again, I had to pick myself up
because nobody was really checking up on me.
And then finally, when I picked myself up
and I became a better me, everybody wants to come back
and be all cool and friendly.
And it's like, yeah, because no one wants to deal
with the tears.
Everybody wants to deal with the happy star. And so I had to see,'s like, yeah, because no one wants to deal with the tears. Everybody wants to deal with the happy star
and so I had to see, tell myself, hey,
do you wanna be sad star for the rest of your life
or do you wanna be happy star?
What would you say is your biggest superpower
and your biggest piece of kryptonite
that you think is gonna play into your game?
My biggest superpower, I would definitely say,
is, oh, that's a tough one, I got a lot.
There you go.
I would say my charm, my charm I think works a lot because it's I got a good way with words. I'm a person that really doesn't have to think before they speak because the words just come out so naturally and I think that's a good quality to have. Of course sometimes I do have to think because you know you can't just say everything but most times I really don't because everything that comes out my mouth is genuine. Yeah and I feel like that's really a good quality to have because in a game where everybody doesn't know if you're telling the truth or not
If I can honestly come to you and you can come to me and you look you in your eye
And talk to you as if we've been knowing each other forever. That's gonna go a long way
You'll trust me even if I'm lying to you. Once again, I do sales
Yeah, I think that's a good crip. that's like my superpower and then my kryptonite.
Kryptonite is like your weakness, right?
Swimming.
Nah, I guess that's true, yeah, yeah.
Because I know I'm athletic.
And in a game where once again you have to run,
you have to swim, you have to jump,
that's a whole lot of in one.
And so my athleticism can only get me so far
if I don't have technique, if I don't have strategy,
if I don't really know the base stuff at all,
the foundation.
So I can run on the ground, but if I can't swim,
what good is that gonna make me in a challenge
where we're coming from the water, going to the land,
and I'm still in the water?
That's true, that's true.
Summon Tree, you mentioned, of course, sales experience.
I mean, how much are you gonna be forthcoming with that?
Because we know sometimes some people see salesperson
and are like, okay, what are you trying to,
you're gonna lie to me all the time.
So I'm not telling anyone I do sales,
I'm a stay at home mom.
Okay.
Yup, and even then, I don't even know
if I wanna say that because, you know,
we're so stuck on the storyline.
Everybody thinks that you need a story to come on Survivor
when that's really not the case at all.
You could be the most boring person as long as you have
something, a genesee qua about you, a charisma
that says why you should be here.
You don't need a sad story or a long story or a happy story.
So I feel like a lot of times people put so much energy
on the story of where you came from
versus the story of what's happening on the show and what's gonna happen each day you're processing living through Survivor.
So I'm still trying to debate who do I really want to present myself as.
And that's the tough part for me because once again my name is Star.
I think people are gonna already have something gunning for me because that's a name you can't forget.
So if somebody's at the-
Is that your mom's fault? That's like R.C.
You know what's funny? My grandmother named me Star.
Really?
Yeah, cause my grandma didn't like the name my dad gave me.
It was like, I was a junior to him. All his kids' names starts with an L. Literally.
Wow.
Literally, from my older-
And you're not here to take an L?
Not here to take no Ls, like, at all. From my older sibling all the way down,
everybody starts with him, except for the last.
My mom said, I gotta stop you right there.
So when he told my grandma my name,
my grandma said, no, that's an ugly name.
I'm gonna name her Star.
And I appreciate that, I've been Star for all my life.
I'll tell you that much.
So I know that's a name you really can't forget.
I'm a person you can't forget, you cannot forget me. Even if you know me for, I'll tell you that much. So I know that's a name you really can't forget. I'm a person you can't forget.
You cannot forget me.
Even if you know me for, you'll be like,
hey, that girl, I know something about her.
You just can't forget it.
So I'm just hoping that although my name is Star,
it doesn't stay in anybody's brain too long,
especially on the first week.
Not until they get to know me.
Let's talk about some of these other stars
in a manner of speaking.
Let's talk about your competition,
because I'm sure you've been.
Oh yeah, I've been eyeing.
You've been eyeing, so talk to me about,
let's start with the positive stuff.
Let's say, who are you picking up good vibes from
that like, in a perfect world, day one you hit the beach,
this is my ride or die, describe them to me.
Well, I will tell you, and I am not ashamed to say,
and if I get any black lash, I don't care.
This is the finest looking face card does not decline. Survivor cast in them ever really.
And once again, I'm sorry, but we find we baddies from the men to the women.
Everybody is everybody look good.
Like, and that's the problem.
When people look good, you don't even know.
Like at least before you had to like, oh, she has a smile.
Oh, she has the looks, oh, she has body.
Oh, gotta worry about, no, everybody looks good.
Everybody literally has the smile.
Everybody has the face.
Everybody has probably the charisma
and the personality to follow along with it.
And I feel like that's what's gonna
actually throw everything off.
How can you know if this person is telling the truth
because they smile just like you.
And so I will say I did notice about that.
Everybody looks good.
Captain America, I don't know his name,
but he look like Captain America.
And he's built, he's strong.
That's somebody that I want as a friend
because I need strength.
As you can see, I'm a little skinny.
I got muscle though.
Don't let these bones fool you.
Don't let it fool you, I'm strong.
No, it doesn't matter the size, it's how you use it.
It don't matter the size.
Remember little Charlie from season 46?
That man, that skinny thing, he was strong.
Yeah.
So yeah, but Mr. Captain America, I want him on my team.
It's a couple of people, I've seen somebody,
she looks like a mom, a little older.
I want her on my team as well because I feel like
those are the ones that can go under
and be your silent assassin.
They can hear and come back to you with the details.
Hey, they're talking about you.
Hey, your name is getting brought up.
Whether good or bad, I need somebody to tell me
because I might not be in the popular crew.
I might be with the quiet ones.
Who knows?
I don't know until we get there
because everybody's personality is hard to tell.
Are they like me?
Are they not?
Who's the loud one?
Who's the cool kids, the athletes, the geeks?
What's going on here?
So, and I'm a person, I'm everything.
I'm a Harry Potter lover.
I'm a vampire lover.
I like all the vampire shows, I'm there.
I love every vampire show, I will watch it. I literally been watching, going crazy. So like all the vampire shows. I'm there. I love every every every vampire show. I will watch it
I literally been watching going crazy. So that's the thing. I'm a I'm a good mix of everything
I could hang with the cool kids, but I could also be with the quiet people cuz I'm shy as well
Yeah, it's a group of cool kids
I'm gonna shut up because now I gotta watch and see what y'all gonna do
Especially cuz I used to be bullied in like elementary school
So, you know I'm saying that a little that little childhood me still comes in.
It's like in a shell because it's like, are they going to like me?
Are they? Will they not?
Will they think I talk too much? Will I be too much?
But at the end of the day, you just got to be yourself.
And I feel like being myself, whether it gets me in the game, gets me past
or gets me out on the first day, I'm here for it.
But of course, I'm not trying to go out on the first date.
No, my worst fear is being Francesca. Absolutely.
Two times over.
Two times over.
I want to be Francesca.
Sorry Francesca girl.
Well, let's talk about the other side of things.
Who's repelling you like a vampire and garlic?
Who are people that you're not vibing with?
So it's hard to say who I'm not vibing with is more so who I'm looking sideways at.
It's a couple of people I'm kinda looking like,
mm, I don't know if I wanna talk to you.
Interesting, describe them to me.
Mm, you wanna get me a challenge.
Listen, this could be your best friends.
You're right, this could be my best friend.
So there's this one girl, I don't know,
she has braids and she just looks like she's just
a little high maintenance a little bit.
Just a little bit more like she won't really work on the island.
It just looks like you'll have to pull her weight is what it's giving.
Just from the certain things that I'm seeing her do right now.
Like she's not getting up to throw her stuff away.
That's a tell.
Why aren't you getting up to throw your stuff away?
You're two feet from the trash can.
That doesn't make sense to me.
I'm 10 feet from the trash can.
I'm still getting up.
It's just little things like that.
I mean, it's a hot day.
Maybe that's a factor, but also too, we're all hot.
What makes you so special?
So that's just a little,
but once again, I could be saying this now
and then we'll get on the island
and we could be the best of friends and I'll tell a girl I was talking about you, like a doll, uh, but once again, I could be saying this now and then we'll get on the island and we could be the best of friends
and I'll tell a girl I was talking about you,
like a doll, but,
till then, it's just something about that.
And then, I mean, it's a couple of people
I think are looking at me funny,
but also too, I'm not sure if it's in my head
or if they're really looking at me funny.
That's the thing, it's tough to be like,
to say these things and also be like,
there's a very good chance people are saying
the same thing about me.
And so that also, to your point about the attractiveness,
it all kind of puts you on an equal playing field too.
Yeah, for sure.
Because that whole new chapter gets written
once you all hit the beach.
Exactly, and on top of that, nobody can be like,
oh, I'm gonna use my looks, we all got looks.
Exactly.
So what you gonna use for real?
You can't just use your smile, we all got smiles.
Well, you ask about what are you gonna use.
I mean, let's talk about IELTS, advantages, journeys, how much you can incorporate that into your
game. So my thing from day one and the advice I'll tell you right now my older
sister and her husband love Survivor. Uh-huh. Since I told them like dedicated
fans dedicated fans like faithfully watching every single time every single season and
they literally gave me a rule a rule list of what to do don't say too much to
Jeff look for the idols but don't make it obvious don't say a name let the name
come to you and I'm like okay don't say your name don't give to Jeff too much
information but that's the hard part I I'm here for the information. I'm here to tell you the tea. So that right there I feel will be
my downfall because you know I'm not gonna hold anything back. Whatever
happens on that camp I'm gonna tell it up in tribal council. They're gonna have
to tell me not to tell because I will tell because that's what we're here for.
What's the tea? When the cameras can only be at certain places I'm gonna be there
to tell you what you're missing.
I love that.
So it feels like the past two seasons in particular,
45, 46, took such a step in a different direction
than the rest of the new era.
So different.
I mean, as you're prepping for this experience,
did you have any takeaways from those two seasons
in particular that you wanna incorporate into your own game?
I did, especially for 46,
because I don't know what was going on with them. Like nobody played an idol for the life of me.
I was screaming on the TV, player fucking idol, please.
Nobody played it.
So that's the thing for me.
I feel like will I be idol happy?
And just I don't know.
Jeff, Jeff.
And now it's drawing attention to me because now they're like,
now we've got to get started out of here.
She she finds idols out the hands and I'm like, no, we gotta get Star out of here. She finds idols off the ass.
And I'm like, okay, so I gotta do it different.
I'm just trying to see time and place.
But I know that I told myself before even coming here,
go with my gut.
My gut never failed me before.
And anytime I don't listen to my gut,
I always end up in a sticky situation.
So I'm just gonna go with my gut.
And if I'm sitting at tribal and I got that idol in my sock,
which is gonna be my hiding place, I will use it. Yeah every time or I will use it for somebody
I do want to hit it. I do want to hit a poverty
Oh, yeah, it was it for somebody else and sit down looking like yeah, so
Yeah, I'm like that
I'm trying I'm trying to see here like I don't want to put too much emphasis on it because then I'm gonna get in
My head like I saw myself already
Looking at the merge and one of the producers was like just take on it because then I'm gonna get in my head, like I saw myself already looking at the merge
and one of the producers was like,
just take it day one.
And I'm like, you right, you right.
It's just you watch the show.
Yeah.
And the show just plays and now you're here
and you're like, what do I do?
Right.
What am I gonna do?
No, you have, you know, 700 episodes of Survivor
running through your head.
Like, these are all the things I have to plan.
All I hear is, Boston Rob, you have to make fire in order to win Survivor.
And then I remember Charlie, who literally did not make fire
and he could have won just by going up
against Kenzie and making fire.
Like, it's just you, timing, timing, timing, timing.
And then also too is like, do I want to be annoying?
Because it seems like the people,
the annoying people don't get kicked off,
but this season they might.
Yeah, that's the thing.
So it's really, you really don't know,
you just gotta see what everybody is really working with.
If you could bring, now I'm gonna,
you know, bask into your TV knowledge here.
Let's go.
If you could bring a celebrity
or a fictional character out as a loved one
for a loved one's visit, who you pickin'?
Mm, mm.
Oh, oh wow, that's good right there.
Try to pull upon your knowledge.
A celebrity, like a random celebrity, right?
It can be a celebrity or a fiction.
Only real is it can't be your family member, yeah.
Excuse me, okay.
I would, are you familiar with the originals in Vampire Diaries?
Yes, my wife watches both.
She's like you, she's an avid vampire watcher.
You have a great wife. She's like you. She's an avid vampire watcher. You have a great wife.
Thank you.
Klaus Michelson or Hope Michelson. I love Hope. I've always loved Hope. I've always wanted to meet Hope.
But now the show isn't on anymore. So it's like, I'll never meet Hope.
But Klaus or Hope Michelson, because they're bad. Like, for real, man, I got them.
I'm winning.
Hey, they going to use their vampire muscles, superpowers,
and I'm getting all bad.
You could glamor people if they wanted to.
We're going by true blood rules.
First of all, I would have.
They would have glamored, and I would have already won.
We would have went to Jeff.
We're already on day 25, day 26.
Are you ready now?
Yeah.
This is the jury, and Starz got it.
This is the jury, and Starz already won. OK, now we're going home. We're doing the reunion show right now. This is the jury and Star's got it. This is the jury and Star's already won.
OK, now we're going home.
We're doing the reunion show right now.
It's already time.
And that's it.
So if I could, I would definitely bring them back.
Or Piper from Charm, because she can freeze people.
So if she freezes people, then I'm really winning.
Freeze everybody.
Let me go find all the idols.
That's true.
Let me find all the aware advantages. Let me get everything. Well, you jump in the water and freeze everybody. Let me go find all the idols. That's true. Let me find all the aware advantages.
Let me get everything.
Well, you jump in the water and freeze everybody.
Yeah, freeze everybody.
Stars first, back to the short.
And I'm already first.
And I'm already first.
So that's like, oh man, if people had superpowers,
if I had a superpower, dang, I think I'd do
either read the minds or mind control like a magneto.
Mm-hmm.
Last thing I wanna ask, we know that Survivor 50 is around the corner.
Is around the corner.
And it's going to be a return ease.
He just crashed.
I wanted to offer.
I want to come back so bad.
So talk to me about that.
How are you going to make your mark right now on 48th?
Man.
We're going to be talking a year from now.
I'm going to make sure I'm the people's choice.
What?
The people going to love me.
People already love me, but once I'm on there, once I'm in there, I'm not wasting time. Like I already know just don't, don't hold nothing back.
Like this is a game, this is a game that a lot of people wish they could be on and you're on there.
I don't even know how many applications were denied just so I can get on here. Sorry for the
denies but thank god it was me and I'm ready to come back. I haven't even started I'm ready to come back.
I'm gonna come back.
Don't worry about it.
You'll be talking to me again soon.
Oh well, no matter what, I'm glad we're talking today.
Cause this was so much fun.
I appreciate how you say that to everybody.
I don't like sincerely, like I get such a great energy.
No, I appreciate that.
I'm sure I'm far from the first or the last person
to tell you that.
That is facts.
And I think, you know, as long as it all works out, it's gonna be a great journey. I think so, I think so. Like I said, that's the thing or the last person to tell you that. That is facts, that is facts. And I think, you know, as long as it all works out,
it's gonna be a great journey.
That's true, I think so.
I think so, like I said, that's the thing about the game.
People lose, people win.
I played basketball for a majority of my life.
I've took a lot of losses,
and probably more losses than wins.
Not saying I'm a loser, though.
I've taken some wins, but I'm just saying in general,
if you have to know how to take the losses,
come back and do better.
So once again, of course,
everybody wants to make it to the end.
Of course, I want to make it to the end.
But if not, I'll just be happy for the experience and be happy that I did it and gave it my all.
I'm hungry to win.
And there you have it.
My interview with Star to me.
A really fun time talking, vibing with Star.
I am so intrigued to see if this energy is gonna be brought
to the game and if it will ever hit a wall or if she's just gonna keep this Jeanne Sequa
bottled for the entirety of 26 days.
I will say if there is one person who might be able to be this consistently energetic
despite all the deprivation elements around her. It might be Star, but we are not done with the Loggy Tribe.
Just yet, I have one more interview
coming up right after the break.
This is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cub sound experiment.
We're looking to find the perfect way to hear Reese's
so you'll buy more of them.
Here we go.
Reese's, Reese's, Reese's, Reese's, Reese's, Reese's, So you'll buy more of them. Here we go. Reeses. Reeses. Reeses. Reeses. Reeses.
Hey, get out of here, you little stinker.
Reeses.
Reeses.
Reeses.
Peanut butter cups.
That breathy one sounded very creepy, am I right?
That breathy one sounded very creepy, am I right? Alright we finish off our interviews with the Loggie Tribe with Thomas Krodinger.
We've talked about the beard, let's talk about the stash.
Thomas is 34 years old, originally from the Woodlands, Texas and currently resides in
Los Angeles and he is a music executive.
He currently works in A&R.
He will explain all of that,
including his day-to-day minutia in our interview,
and very excited to see what song he has to sing
over the course of these next 26 days on the island.
Let's close out the song of Loggy
with its final verse,
my interview with Thomas.
Hey, my name's Thomas Krottinger, I'm 34,
and I am an A&R.
So talk to me about this, because yeah,
it's a big deal, obviously.
Playing Survivor?
Well, I mean, we're working at A&R as well.
Oh, yeah, I mean, yes, yeah, yeah.
So I work at a publishing company.
So not a record label.
So we're kind of like the secret underground part
of the music business.
Interesting.
Yeah.
I could bore you with the difference between a recording
and the underlying composition.
I know.
It's a whole thing.
When you hear the song Hello, By Adele,
you think of the recording of Hello by Adele
that Columbia Records owns.
But inherent in that recording is an underlying composition,
which is the song itself that was written
by Adele and Greg Kirsten.
And so I am on the composition side of things.
So my job is to find people that make music
and help them make music however that goes. You're underselling it. That was not boring at
all. I think that's such an interesting element of like getting to
support. It's not to compare it too much to Survivor but like I'm sure you've
come out here and seen all the things that happen behind the scenes to get the
product that's in front of us. It's not too dissimilar from the work you're doing
either. Yeah. Yeah. I'm definitely like a behind the scenes,
like in the DNA of songs, as opposed to like the marketing,
the music video creative direction,
that part of the business.
How long you been working there?
Is the music industry something you always
want to be involved in?
I originally wanted to be an actor.
Okay.
And that's why I came to LA.
That's why I moved out west and quickly realized when I was
talking about sales figures and charts positions in rehearsal that no one cared and I needed to
find somewhere to water that garden. Oh, interesting. So I took a music law class
in college and fell in love with the music business. And then I just interned all around town
and got some really amazing mentors and then got my first gig at an agency and then kind of tricked my way into A&R because I had no
experience and ever since then I just kind of like conned my way up if you so
you say like whatever. So let's talk about what line you sold to get here
you know what made you decide to trade in bars of music for bars on a bamboo perch?
Oh my god. Well, I started watching the show during the pandemic. So I started watching it
in 2022 and I mainlined 42 seasons in nine months or something. I was like, I would watch
while I would cook. Do you know what I mean like it was just like on and so I fell
in love with the game and there was a part of me that was like you should you
should apply you should go do this like I tell all my writers my artists like be
vulnerable chase your dreams like I encouraged my husband to like do his
thing my friends to like go after what inspires. And so I was like, what if I went after something I loved?
What if I did it?
And then I got the call that it was happening and I was like, oh my god, I'm doing it.
It was like instant terror.
But honestly, that's the reason I'm here is because I feel like my job and my role and
the way I function is kind of cheering other people on
and now this is kind of a moment for me to do something that I love and take time for myself
which is Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
Yeah, you're that composer that like goes through it for everybody
and now gets pushed into the spotlight and you get to perform solo.
Like I can't believe like we're talking.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
This is weird.
Well, let's look back upon your recent blitz through Survivor history.
Give me one winner and one non-winner who you identify with the most personally, This is weird. Well, let's look back upon your recent blitz through survivor history.
Give me one winner and one non-winner
who you identify with the most,
personally, strategically, et cetera.
I would say winner is Sophie Clark, hands down.
I'm obsessed with her.
She is a queen.
I feel like she needs to be in the all-time greats.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Parvati's.
I bow at their altar, but Sophie,
I think I just see more of myself in Sophie than Parvati's, like I bow at their altar, but like Sophie, I think I just see more of myself in Sophie than Parvati.
And then a non-winner who I think is great
would be Mike White.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love him.
And he's the kind of-
Are you just saying that to get onto the White Lotus?
No, no, please no.
Please no.
I'm saying it because I think he's the kind of the reason
that gave me permission to do it, right? Cause he like has such an amazing career and is taken seriously but still like loves the game and he said something about like
You have to be open to like making a fool of yourself
Or being vulnerable or something to play this game. And so he did it and I was like interesting I
Could like I could do that and I'm not saying that I am Mike White, like the man of School of Rock and the White Lotus,
like he is on another level,
but I think just someone like working in entertainment
and not being afraid to put themselves out there,
it was like, it kind of was like opening the gate
and saying like, you can do this, like here's the blueprint.
So what would you say is one life experience
that has prepared you the most for this
as much as you can be prepared? Oh, I, okay, so I don't know if it's is one life experience that has prepared you the most for this as much as you can be prepared?
Oh, I okay, so I don't know if it's like one life experience, but I would say it's just like my career in general
So I have a very good friend. Uh, she works at a record label and early in my time as a anr person
I realized that someone else on my own team was kind of snaking me
and I was like, sir? And I remember texting her and being like, I work in a Viper pit and
her response, we all work in a Viper pit and I was like, you're right, this is the
music business. Like, like keep your friends close, your enemies closer, that
whole thing is true because even though like I'm on a team we all row together like we have healthy competition internally and we like push
each other to be better but I have to always like be on guard because I still
want I want to be the person that signs the big artists not my teammate but if
they do that is great and I love that for us but like you know you want to you
both want to be like pushing the the company forward and like bringing value to the table.
Yeah, I love that, that it really is Survivor in a nutshell, which is this collaborative aspect,
like no one can be on their own, but there's so much individualism.
Correct.
Because one person's gonna win.
Correct. Only one person has the number one.
Yeah.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
And like, you want to have the number one.
The good thing about the music business and the team that I'm on is that we can take turns
doing that and it's all gravy.
The difference is here, one person gets number one
for the season and it's done.
And then it's also relying on the other team members
you've fired to then say, okay, who's the best employee
out of the last three of us?
Correct, or could you imagine working in a label
and the artist you drop have to declare you the winner
or something?
Or like the deals you passed on have to decide
that you're the best?
Yeah, I love it.
So in terms of preparation, once you found out
you were coming out here, when you got that call
and you were you know, flummoxed, what was the prep?
I literally went silent.
When I got the call, I literally was like,
they were like, how do you feel about being on Survivor 48?
And I was like, I need you to explain that.
I was like, I need you to give me the words,
you are in the cast.
I need you to go there and then I can react.
So once you find it out, once you are able
to finally get that thought in your head,
what was the prep like to get here?
Okay, so the second, it's weird.
I have one of my best friends at work
Literally like the day I was like I'm applying for Survivor
She literally rolled her eyes and she was she literally was like this is so annoying
Like you're gonna get it and then I'm gonna have to cover your entire roster for weeks while you're gone. I was like
Okay, it's like whatever so
I don't know in that moment. it kind of made me think like I should
have a plan yeah of some kind. I was like because like what if this does happen.
Your coworker has a plan you probably should as well. I know and I was like she's never seen an
episode of the show so she wasn't gonna be help me plan. Yeah. But my basically I
stopped drinking which like in the music business is harder than it sounds but
then I can't like came to love it and like, oh, why is everyone drunk at this mixer?
And I was like, oh, that's normal.
I gave up caffeine, which is like, I'm gay.
So we live for cold brews.
Do you know what I mean?
It's part of our natural diet to stay alive and stay
powerful in our gayness.
to stay alive and stay powerful in our gayness. Um.
Literally like I go to sleep thinking about the cold brew
I'm gonna have the next morning.
I love it.
When you get that coffee reward like
you drop everything to have it.
I'm not gonna do it.
Are you kidding?
It'll all mentally be broken afterwards.
I guess that's true.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've built yourself up to this point.
Correct.
Why stop now?
Correct.
Literally like I look at a Diet Coke and I'm like no.
Even though I love Diet Coke. And then I'm like, no, even though I love Diet Coke.
And then I'm like, spike too many calories.
Get away from me.
But I gave up caffeine, which was,
I would have like two cups of coffee in the morning
that I brewed and then like a cold brew or two at the,
like it was nuts.
Like giving up caffeine, I had,
my withdrawals were like textbook.
I had, not only was like lethargic,
I was like wanting to fall asleep in like meetings,
but I was like, I had anxiety and mood swings. I was like, this is good that I'm giving it up.
I'm going to bring it right back. Just for the record. Okay, so alcohol, caffeine, um, and then
I just, I like called up my trainer from our wedding. Then I was like, hi, can you like work me out like hard,
but like not crazy hard.
Like I just want to be really like tight and like strong.
She's like, what?
I was like, stop asking questions.
One question is too many.
Yeah. I was like, I was like, I leave in like,
however many weeks.
I was like, we need core, we need back, we need legs,
and we need grip strength.
And she's like, okay.
So then I started working with her.
Her name's Shannon, she's the best.
And then I started going to physical therapy,
just to like, you know, tune up.
I'm 34.
I like, I don't know.
I like literally look at all these kids
and I'm like, how am I the old one?
Like I used to be the young, like the young pup,
like with like a bushy tail
and like could conquer the world.
And now I'm like, you look like you're 22 years old.
So I was like, I'm gonna go to physical therapy.
So that's kind of what I did.
What would you say is your biggest superpower?
Oh.
And your biggest piece of kryptonite.
Oh.
That are may incorporate into your game.
Okay.
My biggest superpower, which is also my kryptonite. Okay, my biggest superpower,
which is also my Crypto Knight.
Okay, double-edged sword.
Yes, is that I really love people
and I have a tendency to make people feel like
we are closer than we actually are.
So it's great because I think it's gonna serve me
in the game where we can all get along.
Yeah.
But that will probably cost me because I think I'll probably look like the biggest backstabber
and liar if that makes sense.
Yeah.
So like jury management will be hard.
My other kryptonite is that I'm very emotional and quick to react.
Yeah, I know you wrote in your bio that you have no patience for fools.
No, I wrote that.
That's hysterical.
I mean, I would say that, you know, not to say that Survivor is a fool's game, but ideally
they cast to bring in maybe people that are, have foolish behaviors.
Oh, totally.
I'm down with like some fun, but I'm like not down for like stupidity.
But let's do this.
Do you know what I mean?
Especially if we're aligned.
Yeah, that's true.
Like, head in the game.
How do you think you're going to be perceived?
Because you talk about being that people person.
Do you think that you're gonna be seen as like
the social butterfly, life of the party, et cetera?
I have no idea.
Maybe, I think that like,
yeah, I think that,
my goal is to have a lot of fun while playing this game.
Very good goalie.
Right?
And I want the people I'm playing with to have fun too. But I also don't want, I don't want to be the social butterfly. Cause
I think like look at recent winners. Jam Jam, Kenzie, like those people had social game.
And I'm on the purple tribe. So I'm like, stop it. Do you know what I mean? I was like,
number one, I need Flynn to number, can't be Mr. Personality.
So like, in the back of my mind, I'm like,
okay, I'll get along with everybody,
and then I'll pick one person to have conflict with,
so then it looks like, do you know what I mean?
I think I need to have a little friction.
Will they be aware of that?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!
And I'm like looking at everybody,
I'm like, I kinda like you all,
but like, I have to pick one of you to have an issue with.
Maybe it'll come naturally, with my short temper. There might be a fool. There might be a fool
Yeah, yes, so then on that note listen. I'll maybe set it up for you here because I'm sure you've been eyeballing people
I'm sure you've been trying to pick up vibes
Yeah, well let's start on the positive side because you talked about liking so many people
But is there anyone you're picking up particularly good vibes from is describe to me some people that you're like
Best-case scenario you you're hitting the beach beach day one this is a ride or die for you.
I love this blonde woman with curly hair like I'm obsessed with her she has fun nails I
love her hair I love her glasses like she was like reading a Michael Crichton book I
was like what's going on I like that. She's wearing a shirt that said San Antonio and
I was like are you from Texas or you just like Texas?
Cause I'm from Texas.
I don't know, I really like her.
I really, really like her.
That would be like best case is like we get on the boat
and it's like us in purple.
So then what about the other side of things?
Anyone you're not picking up good vibes from
or like you have trouble reading?
Here's the thing.
I like, I know,
because like I know that they have no idea
that I have a personality right now, you know?
I know that I'm like judging a book by its cover.
But that's the fun of it.
That's the fun of it.
This could be your future best friend
you're about to talk about.
That's what freaks me out, is like,
is like what if I'm like I don't like you
and then it's literally like I'm like
marrying you in 10 years.
Cause that's why I officiate weddings,
I've done three. Oh really?
Yeah, fun.
You have competition with Jeff then.
Oh does he officiate weddings?
He does officiate weddings.
Stop it.
Okay let's go.
He officiated, do you know Jenna Fisher,
Pam from The Office?
Yeah.
He officiated her wedding.
Stop.
Yeah she's a huge survivor fan.
Unreal.
That's also freaky to me, Mike.
Like these people are survivor fans. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Like, these people are Survivor fans.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, Sarah Michelle Geller is a Survivor fan.
Buffy is the greatest show ever made, other than Survivor.
But do you know what I mean?
Like, the fact that there is a world in which
she and Freddie Prinze sit down and they're like,
ah, season 48, let's start.
And then it's like, my dumb face?
It's like, that's nuts.
Like, I keep forgetting that people are gonna get to watch this yeah it's a wild thing
to think about because I'm sure you're gonna have so many things running through
your head in the game but like you're not really thinking about oh yeah in
about nine months afterwards I have to deal with this in a good way hopefully
because we'll be watching you win yeah is there anyone you can think of that
that you're picking up at least weird vibes from or doing things at Ponderosa
that are red flags?
Not really.
I can't get a read.
How to describe them.
There is a young gentleman with long hair and I cannot get a read on him.
His books are covered.
I like can't quite crack the code.
Interesting.
Yeah, so I'm just intrigued.
I'm like, who are you, JP?
So let's talk about advantages.
Obviously, the DNA of the new era
is filled with idols, journeys, et cetera.
How much are you gonna incorporate that?
Because you said you're such a social person.
Is that gonna come at the cost of trying to,
you know, go out of your way to look for stuff?
Listen, I feel personally, like,
advantages are incredible
if you can keep them to yourself.
I feel like new era, like, chaos comes from
thinking you can tell one person about it. Like, I'm old school. I'm like, I don't, in my underwear thinking and telling one person about it.
Like I'm old school. I'm like, Idle, in my underwear, we're never speaking about it.
Do you know what I mean? Also like not leaving it in my bag.
My plan is just kind of hopefully try and figure out where they are and weaponize that information.
Or maybe if I come across one, lead someone to it so I know they have it.
And then I can use that against them down the road,
if you know what I mean.
I don't want a beware advantage.
I don't want it, I wanna know who has it,
and I want to tell everyone else that they have it,
if that makes sense.
Watch me find one tomorrow.
That's the fun of this too,
is that we all make these claims,
but when push comes to shove, sometimes it changes, sometimes it doesn't.
But we have seen people in the past
lead others to find beware advantages,
and I think especially when you watch people
go home with idols in their pockets
four times in a row maybe,
then you're a little more skittish to not find them.
Oh yeah, literally my husband was like,
you get an idol, you fucking play it.
I was like, I don't know, babe.
He was like, you play the idol.
You were already getting in the herd, I was like, yeah, but it depends on the situation. Totally, he was like, I don't know babe. He was like, you play the idol. You were already getting in the hair,
I was like, yeah, but it depends on the situation.
Totally, he was like, play the idol.
I was like, okay, fine.
So when it comes to, I would say alliances,
like number ones, I mean, you spoke about someone
that you would really want to confide in.
Watch me hate her.
You never know.
That'd be so sad.
She has such a good vibe.
Is there a particular quality, is it a vibe? Is there something you're looking for in particular in an alliance, no matter how many people are in it?
Okay, so there are two different types of alliance partners in my brain. There's number one, my real number one. The person that I feel like I can trust, who trusts me, we share information, I feel like we are actually tight.
And it's like a Dee-Julie situation.
Do you know what I mean?
Not a Dee Austin situation.
That makes sense.
Yes.
That is like, that is the holy grail.
The other part of Alliance that I'm looking at is I'm looking to align myself with big
threats.
Mmm.
Because I want to know if the tables start turning and shots are coming our way, I'm
not the first target
Yeah, like I want it to be my man with the muscles or like my puzzle guy like I don't want it to be me
I want the warning shot to be blood on the battlefield
Someone else's if that makes sense. Yeah, definitely does so then when it comes to
The past couple of seasons you mentioned, you know your husband's advice about idols
You mentioned D Julie Austin. about idols. You mentioned Dee, Julie, Austin.
It definitely feels like 45 and 46
took the new era in a definitive step.
What have been some of your takeaways,
especially once you found out
you were gonna be on the show?
I'm sure you were watching with one eye
being like, all right, here are some takeaways
I can incorporate into my own game.
Yeah, I was like, she's wearing shoes in the water,
he's not, she's changed for this challenge,
he hasn't, stuff like that. But that's not for this challenge, he hasn't. Like stuff like that.
But that's not the real question.
Yeah, so what do you plan on incorporating into your game?
I guess even though, you know, proper footwear
is an important part of the game.
It is.
In the recent seasons,
people really care about their resumes.
I think that has become such a storyline.
And they really care about taking out their number one.
Being the first person to take the shot
Yeah, not my vibe
Interesting. Yeah, I I feel like if people are caring about their resumes
I think that that's something to use
Against other people to get me to the end and pit people against each other
And then I am NOT a take out my number one ally just like for to put it on a resume
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, like if I if I'm looking at final three and I think my number one person my my number one will beat me
Yes, I will slit their throat in the middle of the night and I hope they forgive me and we can be friends
They do that to me. I will be devastated
but good game
But I also I will be devastated, but good game.
But I also, I'm like a very loyal person. If like you're a real one, you're a real one.
And I would love to go to the end with my number one.
And I feel like that's not the norm right now
and people aren't into it.
And so part of me kind of wants to buck the trend
and be like, old school has returned.
It's like Parvati and Amanda, we're sitting there.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
That's my vibe.
Absolutely.
So I want to ask your hottest take on Survivor.
What's your most controversial opinion
about a player, a season, et cetera?
My most controversial opinion about Survivor?
That the advantage Palooza isn't a bad thing. Interesting!
I feel like people are really hung up on like old school, new school, new era, and all the
differences.
And like, I think the literal point of Survivor is to
be adaptable and figure it out. And if there are 10 advantages in the game, I think that's
part of it. I mean, do I think it's a little crazy when it's like you see someone's name
and it's like, all the things? Yes. But I do feel like you have to try things out in
this game to see what works and what doesn't. And I think that if you have captivating, interesting people playing the game,
that's really all that matters.
No matter what gets into the nooks and crannies of the game.
So I'm a person who's kind of like, I don't think the advantages are bad.
Let's just see what happens.
Watch.
I like literally go, I'm like, I'm sorry.
And game changers and I'm the only person without one and go home.
I'll be like, I have a new opinion.
Yeah, exactly.
Well, let's talk about, speaking of survivor history,
what's your favorite moment?
Oh, my favorite moment of survivor history?
Ugh.
I mean, when the Blackwood Obra-Grade
takes the necklace from Eric.
I know you were mentioning Carverting and Amanda,
so I didn't know if it was the,
the kid you mentioned, Suri as well, obviously. I love Suri. I know you were mentioning Carverting and Amanda so I didn't know if it was the kid you mentioned. Suri as well obviously. I love Suri.
I love, I love, literally here's my thing. I love that women are winning in the new
era. I love that it's 4-2 right now. Yeah. Okay. We're gonna even that up this
season but it's gonna be another gay man so it's like kind of the same. Do you
know what I mean? Yeah I really really I think what's really cool about
that moment
On a couple different levels is that it had it was obviously women coming together
Which everyone's so scared of and you look at like how many female alliances have actually worked. Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, like it's this like boogie man that make boogie woman that makes no sense
But like I love that they came together and there was a newbie involved.
I love that Natalie was a part of it.
I don't know, I love that moment.
I think that's probably my favorite season.
I don't know, there are so many things.
The show is the best.
It's a big one, it's a good one.
And like you said, it's a crowning moment
for Mount Rushmore Alliance.
I also love when Sophie Clark won her season. Yeah.
I thought she really deserved it.
She's probably like the player that I think
I'm most similar to out of everybody.
So I loved her win.
Literally I was like watching that.
I don't remember if I was like cooking bolognese
or something.
And I remember just like being like,
this bitch doesn't take the W, I'm gonna lose my mind.
Like she played so hard and so well.
But yeah, probably Parv and Sophie.
If you could bring-
Parv, as if she's my Parv.
I mean, listen.
Hey Parv.
You talk about Sarah Michelle Geller watching.
SMG.
Yeah, Parvity could be someone who's watching along,
commenting as well.
And now she's part of the tribe, the community.
Yes.
Welcome.
Absolutely.
She welcomes you into the survivor tribe
and you reverse it.
Yes.
I love that.
We should have a dinner.
Exactly.
Parvati, if you're listening,
an invitation is extended right now.
If you could bring, speaking of SMG,
a celebrity or a fictional character out
for a loved one's visit.
Who are you bringing in?
Why?
Oh, holy night.
Ha ha ha.
It's like, it can be anyone. It can be anybody anybody as long as it's not in your family basically, right? Okay a
Celebrity living or dead it could be either or okay or a fictional character. Oh my god, that's terrible
That's you just said Sarah. So I'm just like huh Sarah. No, I love but I love you
It would just be too like on the nose right now.
Let's get a little creative.
Um, okay, I know who I'd bring.
I would bring Dorinda Medley
from the Real Housewives of New York.
And recently the Traders.
Yes, and recently the Traders. I think people are gonna be underestimating Dorinda onley from the Real Housewives of New York. And recently the Traders. Yes, and recently the Traders.
I think people are going to be underestimating
Dorinda on the Traders.
I'm not a housewife person,
but I have been sent some Dorinda clips
and they are unbelievable.
I made it nice.
How you doing?
Not well, bitch.
Yeah, she's pretty iconic.
Yeah, that would be pretty amazing.
And plus it's also a little bit like
she played with the Survivor players.
Now she gets to see the inside of things.
Also the thought of like seeing
Dorinda medley on an island and like me being disgusting I
Would be like I hope I'd win and she had to do like you stay at the camp for a night
Then I'd be like I made it nice like it would just be fun. We'd have a great time last thing
I want to ask is obviously 50 is on the horizon
How are you gonna make your mark on 48
so that we're gonna be having a conversation
this time next year?
Okay, here's the thing.
I feel like if I go down this road,
I'm playing in a bad way.
Do you know what I mean?
Like I'm gonna make my mark by playing
the best possible game that I can right now
without thinking about 50.
Like also that's cuckoo for Coco Puffs.
Do you know what I mean? Like my, I am just really really focused on experiencing every moment of
this opportunity. Playing my heart out, taking risks, not being afraid, and like knowing that
if I don't win I gave everything I had. But also maybe like, you want some fun
Real Housewives references, like to come back,
you want fun like, I don't know, pop culture moments.
I don't know, I'm planning on just be like really gay
and having a great time.
I mean, we are, we're on the precipice of the end of Pride.
So it ends up working out.
Yes, I'm doing this for my people for Pride.
And there you have it, folks.
All six members of the Loggi Tribe, as interviewed by me, out in Fiji.
One third of the cast done already.
And we are going to take a brief pause to talk about them.
Of course, after listening to these interviews,
I'm sure you have some opinions as to how they're going to vibe as a tribe
So do myself and Rob says, you know, so we've talked about this before but just as a reminder tomorrow
There will not be an interview podcast instead Rob and I are going to stop down
Talk about these six people in particular not only our thoughts on each one of them
But how they might work together or against each other within this particular
configuration. And give some of our thoughts on this group before we then
move into the next set of interviews. So again, make sure you don't miss a second
of all the preseason coverage we have going on. WeKnowSurvivor.com for the
podcast versions and Robhasthewebsite.com slash YouTube for the podcast versions and Rob has a website comm slash YouTube for the video versions
Thank you all so much for the support so far
I had such a great time out there in Fiji getting to talk with these people not only in the moment but getting to
Re-engage with them as players and people now that we have been releasing all of these interviews
I'm really looking forward to what Rob has to say about them and what you all have to say about them as well and
seeing if there might be some possible winner candidates that reside within
Loggy. Rob and I will be back tomorrow
breaking down these six people and giving our thoughts on what's to come from them over the next three months. Until then everybody, take care, buh-bye.
