Starting point is 00:02:30 Hi, everybody, Mike Bloom here, back with day six of our Survivor 49 preseason interviews. And it looks to be a bright, sunshiny day as fair weather is on the horizon. Shannon, fair weather to be specific. Shannon is 28 years old. She's originally from Wakefield, Massachusetts. currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and she is a wellness specialist. And she also is a business owner as well. She is the co-founder of a business called Her Vibe.
Starting point is 00:03:11 And I will say, her vibe out on the island is when you are definitely going to want to check out. Before we get into that, if you miss any of my interviews with the other five members of the Uli tribe, make sure you don't miss out on it, go to we know Survivor.com for the podcast version of all of these interviews, as well as video versions of the interviews over at either watchrhap.com or through searching Rob has a podcast on YouTube. Now, before we get into my interview, just to give you a heads up about what is happening tomorrow, we're doing things a little bit differently.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Now, we did this last year, and we decided to bring it back once again for the second survivor season coming in 2025. Tomorrow, you're going to hear from Rob and I, as now that we have heard from all six members of the Ouli tribe. We're going to get Rob's thoughts on everybody individually, my own thoughts as well at the time out there on the island. And also how we think that this particular group of six is going to interact with each other. Do we see any pairs forming either of friends or of enemies? First boot potential, winner potential. We'll talk about that all tomorrow before we then move into the next batch of interviews. So just want to let you know ahead of time what the podcast is coming tomorrow. But let's focus on today, shall we? Because there's a lot
Starting point is 00:04:32 to get into when it comes to Shannon Fairweather. She has a number of connections with Survivor, even before she stepped foot in Fiji because her family owns a sports bar in Boston that used to be the workplace of none other than Boston Rob Mariano. So with him and Amber being family friends. Shannon did get into a bit of preseason advice that she got from them as well as some other more unlikely sources. Let's get into it, shall we? Prepare to vibe out in my interview with Shannon. My name is Shannon Fairweather. I am 27 years old and I am an entrepreneur. Okay. What's the business or businesses? Yeah. So I've had a couple different businesses in my life. I really value freedom and working for myself so I can do things like apply for Survivor and then go on it.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I see life as a really big adventure and something I'm really passionate about is being able to take my own ideas, my own problems that I want to solve the things I love to do and turning it into what I do for a living. Yeah. So that's always kind of been a theme in my life and at first started I actually had a reusable straw drop shipping company. That was when I was in college and I was just like I can't go to the nine to five route so I need to do something that was when you were in college yeah I studied abroad in Dublin and that changed my whole life wow yeah because I was actually really anxious before that and like borderline depressed just college college is tough you know college is really hard and the party lifestyle and the drinking and I grew up when social media
Starting point is 00:06:07 was really really booming so comparison culture and all these things I just didn't have any I didn't have any really deep practices or mindsets I kind of built my self-confidence right so it was travel that kind of opened me up to that because I recognized I can do hard things I can survive it I can expand from it and I can grow so that's why I started my first company it was called sustainable sipping if you don't count like the small businesses I actually created like a couple fun little like lemonade stand type things like yeah exactly like little things like that and it goes perfect with the straws like exactly got some lemonade you got a straw
Starting point is 00:06:41 exactly but on my main business right now is a high vibe women's community so I just recognized yeah yeah I just love that like that's a that's a slogan right there that gets you in the door. It just sounds like something the world needs, doesn't it? Hell yeah. Yeah, no, we really do. I think specifically after COVID, I really recognized how deeply I wanted more community. You know, you graduate college or high school and there's no more clubs or sports teams are really ways to make new friends.
Starting point is 00:07:09 And my parents own a four floor sports bar, but I was recognizing that I love to be there. I love to be with my family, but it's not how I love to spend every weekend all of my time. You know, I was recognizing I love to take care of myself. I was recognizing I like an early bedtime. I was recognizing the power of meditation and yoga. And I was really growing so much, kind of solo just with my boyfriend. And I really just craved more like-minded community. And a lot of my closest friends started to get into things like yoga and meditation.
Starting point is 00:07:36 My best friend from fifth grade got yoga teacher training certified. And I was like, we're all into this. Like, let's give it a name. Right? Like, let's give it a brand. Let's give it a name. And so it's called her vibe. and it's a virtual community so it's a space where you can come and connect with like-minded women online and we have new moon calls and full moon calls where we hop on zoom we talk about like the vibes and the energy of the new moon that's coming up and the full moon just so we can really intentionally make the most of what's going on with our planet because the planet has a consciousness it has an energy to it that affects us and when we become aware of that we can utilize it for healing personal development like really beautiful things and so I kind of just recognize
Starting point is 00:08:16 I have all these friends who are really powerful, powerful healers and teachers and mindsets. And I was like, we just need to come together and call in more women. So we have the virtual community, but then we also do in-person events. So those are like breathwork or we call them like high vibe GNOs and we'll breathe and stretch and do yoga and have like cacao ceremonies or do like mirror work where like everyone looks in the mirror and there's like meditations and you just really look yourself in the eyes. Wow. And you just send yourself a lot of love. and um people just naturally love it so it's growing really quick yeah it's growing really quick because healing is addicting feeling good is addicting you know and we're all coming together and
Starting point is 00:08:56 like making these really genuine friendships too so it's been life changing it's changing my life and it's the kind of project that I feel like was almost gifted to me from like a higher spirit of like do this like this needs to happen and now I'm just having like all this support kind of manifest and it's really beautiful. It's a real gift. So while you're out here, are you looking at the full moon? You're looking at the new moon of trying to plot how you're feeling and how that might pretend to the game. No, that's a great question because my mom was like, you should look into like what moons are going to be happening when you're out here. And I am also a Virgo.
Starting point is 00:09:28 So I'm very like to-do list, get it all done. And my list of things I wanted to complete before I came out here, like, I'm going to give some of my strategies here. But like, I really wanted to read and like get the main points from how to win friends and influence people. I want to get fresh fish and learn how to cut it up. I wanted to practice making fire, you know? I wanted to program AI to be not only like a spiritual guru because I live my life with a lot of integrity and truth and honesty. And obviously this is a game where sometimes you need to not be that fully.
Starting point is 00:10:00 And so I fully trained in AI. I'm like, be Jesus, Ram Dass, spiritual guru mixed with someone who wins Survivor. Okay, wait, we need to like focus on this a second. Because I don't, I know, that's a lot. I don't think I've ever heard in a prep process, programming an AI to be like, how would you play survivable, also maintaining a sense of integrity? Yeah, I really was, I was really craving some, some insight. And, you know, I knew there was no one that could really give that to me necessarily,
Starting point is 00:10:31 even though Boston Rob's a family friend. I don't think he, it would have necessarily the full. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, we just don't pass this point. I know, there's a lot. There's a lot of juicy stuff, but, and he gave me some great. insights as well and so did Amber. But programming the AI, the AI is a great tool, you know, we shouldn't fear AI. We should potentially fear the people who utilize AI, but not even fear them, just recognize they're going to be very powerful. And I actually got some really great
Starting point is 00:10:58 insights from that AI tool. I really did. Are you going to thank them in your victory speech? Yeah, potentially. You know, and I'll think like, you know, the higher beings, the ascended masters who like helped me just take that insight as well, you know, because my whole life, the reason why I'm on the show. Yeah, let's let's talk about that. Yeah, yeah. The whole reason why I'm on this show, it's a mix of two things. One, who I am as an individual. Yeah. With the incredible family that I have. I grew up with two parents who were entrepreneurial, wanted to turn things that they love to do into a living, even if that meant not making a ton of money, right? But always made us feel rich. Somehow, some way, spending the last paycheck, spending everything they
Starting point is 00:11:35 had, putting credit cards on max, whatever we needed to feel abundant. and have an amazing childhood, my parents gave that to me. And I think that instilled a lot of security in me, like very root chakra, right? Like a lot of security to feel like, okay, I have, like my mom is very divine mother. She's very, I can tell her anything. I trust her with, I tell her my craziest tea, like the craziest shit that's one of my life. My mom knows everything. And so I always felt really safe in that essence.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And then my dad is like strong Boston guy, sports bar owner, like very, very, very cool, like kind of like a rock. star, but very like, I'm safe. Like, no one's gonna fuck with us when my dad's here. Is it okay, if I swear too? Please, yes. Cool. Like, no one's gonna mess with us if my dad's around. So I kind of had that really beautiful balance between my mom and my dad,
Starting point is 00:12:24 which just created this really wonderful security in my life. And, you know, they had their own flaws and imperfections, but we weren't the perfect family, but we were as well, you know? Just, and I recognize that the more I grow and gain perspective as well. Exactly. The more you experience other people who unfortunately did not have it as well. No, incredibly blessed. You know, my family created that foundation for me.
Starting point is 00:12:44 And the only thing that I recognized I kind of have found on my own is this spirituality because we didn't grow up with religion or spirituality or really any faith. We grew up with so much love and appreciation for life, like Christmas Eve and traditions and like Cape Cod. I always say that, you know, Tom Brady was God and Fenway Park was church. Like life was kind of like my, that's like a... quote from my dad. Like life was always our religion of sorts. But I do feel like I lacked a certain faith because I wasn't sure what happened when you die. Like there was a time where I was like an
Starting point is 00:13:23 atheist. I'm like, we could die and it's just black. And when you really feel into if that's a belief that you have, how you live your life, because that's really scary. You know, if you're like, life is impermanent and that could be beautiful as well. Right. Because it has you embrace it. Be like, live in the moment because you don't know when it'll come at the same time it can also have you living it's that beautiful balance you know but when I was really anxious and on antidepressants and drinking a lot it wasn't because I didn't believe in a god but not having that faith definitely didn't help you know and so that process of one having this beautiful security with my parents right that grounded support that really nurtured a lot of confidence in me
Starting point is 00:14:03 you know I'm the oldest only daughter I have two brothers and I've always been like a go-getter I was class president in high school. I was dancing and captain. I always tried really hard in school and then everything I did. And I just want to make the most out of life. Like I started a podcast a couple years ago and it was called the Doing the Most podcast. I love to do the most like in my life and make the most of it and juice everything I can out of it. And so I've always had that drive and that support.
Starting point is 00:14:25 And now as I've continued to find deeper meaning in life, like magic's real. Magic is real. Manifestations, real. Synchronicity's real. And you're about to make some survivor magic out here. Entirely. You know, my boyfriend said to me, before I left, he said, you know, I applied once and I got on the show, you know? And I know that's not easy to do. I know a lot of people try to get on. And I don't think it's necessarily because of who I am or if I'm any different because of anyone else, but because of the faith that I have and the belief I have in miracles, in God, which the more I believe, the more they open themselves up to to me as well, I think it instills a lot of confidence within me and, like, safety and security of, like, I can, do this. Yeah. And I can go out there and also be supported and believe in myself as well because I
Starting point is 00:15:11 have that deeper faith too. Yeah. So what's your history with the show? Because I did, was it involved in all with the family friends that obviously have occupied spaces on the Mount Rushmore? Yeah, exactly. So I have been watching Survivor my whole life because my parents own a four floor sports bar. Yes. And in 2001, two or three, one of our bartenders went on the show and they just hired him and my dad was like what the fuck are you doing like where do you think you're going like we just hired you and that bartender ended up being Boston Robb oh yeah my god iconic right so cool and so my family always watched and the first year I feel like I consciously remember watching was when Bob won which I believe I think I was like 11 okay you know
Starting point is 00:15:55 but it was like always on and we've been fellow fellow New Englander Bob Crowley like icon just I remember loving that he won I remember loving it and uh we've pretty much been watching ever since. In college, for me, I really didn't enjoy being at college. I was very, very, very anxious. Like, my mom would come pick me up at school and drive me home because I just couldn't stay overnight. Yeah, I couldn't stay overnight. I just couldn't be there. And I was like, I needed the safety of my mom and my house. And we would make tequila drinks and watch Survivor. And then from there, it evolved where, again, traveling abroad was kind of the beginning of my spiritual awakening of sense, that and meeting my boyfriend, because that's when I won, kind of found my
Starting point is 00:16:33 individual power and recognize what I was capable of and just started to push myself because like I said, I was the same time I decided to go abroad was when I was coming home because I couldn't stay at college for two nights in a row. Yeah. It was kind of like a let's do something crazy because this isn't working. No, it means like exposure therapy, right? It's like you bomb can fly you home. Exactly. No, it's like let's just go do it because something's got to change. Right. And around that same time, my boyfriend introduced me to Bob Proctor, who's really into like the law of attraction and manifesting and utilizing your mindset and so it kind of went for me like travel to then like personal development more with like entrepreneurship and like manifesting into more
Starting point is 00:17:12 of spirituality and God and faith from there but to bring it back to my story and my traditions with survivor of sorts from there my brother and I started watching together because you just wanted something kind of to do together I really wanted something to do with him you know he just moved to this apartment in the city. I was like, I want a reason to come over as much as possible. So I'm like, let's watch Survivor and we did the same thing with Big Brother. But then we eventually just started doing Survivor because it's kind of elite in comparison. And I don't watch that much television. So I'm like, if I'm going to watch TV, it's going to be Survivor. So we created a draft. And it was just me and him. We created a survivor draft every
Starting point is 00:17:48 year. And then his girlfriend got involved and my boyfriend got involved and his roommates. And it's really funny because we're still doing the draft like for this season. That's happening right now, 48 and like his two roommates like obviously don't know that I'm out here so it's gonna be this so funny whenever they find out like maybe we'll like pick the teens I'll just say we'll find out like one person per pick like who's gonna fight over you right no my boyfriend was like we all have to pick you we all have to pick you because when I win I don't want to tell my family is that allowed you don't yet right there have been plenty of people yeah Chris Doherty from Saravarian Watu
Starting point is 00:18:21 I remember very clearly told his wife that he got voted out seven I don't want my family. No, I want them to like, this is hard. They don't just get to get that instant gratification. Like, I want them to like, you know, go through the whole process. Just like you did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we've mentioned a lot of names here. Yeah. Yeah. Give me a winner and a non-winner who you identify with the most. Could be personally or strategically. Yeah. So, um, a lot of people would assume like Boston Rob, right, for me, but I don't think that's necessarily the case in terms of my strategy. I see my strategy being almost more like jam jam, honestly. I want to play a really social game. I really want to connect with people and I want to play a game that's also
Starting point is 00:19:01 very unique unique to me because I want to be true to my heart and I'm not really sure what that's going to look like moment to moment. Yeah. You know, and I had my interview yesterday and I just thinking about it because I answered some questions of like, are you going to be able to vote out like your number one if that needs to happen? Like, I don't know. I don't know. And I think that's okay. Like I think that's okay because a huge part of my game is being adaptable and being present and being able to respond to each moment versus just react of what I think needs to happen because of what a past player did or because of what my strategy in my journal is or because of what my AI guru said, right? I want to do what feels fully right in each moment. And that allows
Starting point is 00:19:39 an ease to the game. And I want to play really light. I want to have fun. I want to laugh. I want to dance. And if I go home third or if I win the whole thing, at least I had fun while I was doing it. Because if I have this attachment to winning, then maybe like day three, four or five, five, six, 12, I'm not enjoying myself and I'm acting out of fear because I'm like, well, I need to make it to the end. Right. Right. Versus if I'm like, I'm here to enjoy like the heaven on earth that we are existing in right now and to be a light and to enjoy each moment, even when I'm sitting in a tent, waiting, like whatever it is. And I know that with that mindset, I'm already winning so much because I'm finding what I'm made up and I'm recognizing that I don't need a comfy
Starting point is 00:20:23 couch or like even other people that I love and I love them but I don't want to be attached to them. I don't want to need them to feel peaceful or safe or in a state of love, you know? So it's really already such an incredible experience and I'm really just trusting what happens from here because it's been such a gift. Yeah. What about a non-winner who you identify? Another winner that's coming to mind if I can share that is I love how Tony played in 40. Okay. He just played so passionately. Yeah. I don't want to be as neurotic but I love the enthusiasm he gave to the game and he had fun like he had fun playing as well so I really loved watching Tony too and then non-winnered non-winner feels difficult right now
Starting point is 00:21:03 because I just I feel like I'm identifying so much as a winner that's like even bringing non-winner into my into my paradigm is feeling a little difficult let me think you know I had a lot of love for Andy Andy okay we called him Boston Andy in the draft I really appreciated his his ability to rebound, you know, he had a really difficult moment on what, episode one? Yeah, episode one. First immunity challenge. That's really hard. Those are kind of the moments that you pray like don't happen when you come on, right?
Starting point is 00:21:35 And for him to have that and then rebound as hard as he did, I really appreciated how real that was, like how that was a real moment that happened. He didn't really just give in to, okay, well, I just had a panic attack because that's what He basically had a panic attack, and that's very vulnerable. That's very vulnerable to happen on national television. So for him to have that moment and not just completely quit the game, but continue to push forward, he then got like a little too cocky at the end where he didn't need to say that to Rachel at all, like save that for your final three.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Right. But I really appreciated that rebound for him. And it just made him real. And that's why I love the show too, because it's real people going through a very difficult experience. You know? I was feeling about, I was thinking about this yesterday. You think about one hard yoga class where you put your phone to the side and you're sweating and you're moving your body and just like the difficult aspects but also the clarity that you get. Yeah. We're out here. We don't have our phones. We have no connection to the people that make us feel safe and loved and seen and who know us. We don't have a real bed. We're sleeping outside in a tent for now. Yeah. The tent is technically a luxury. right now. Exactly. But it's hot. It's super hot because it's very hot here and then the tent kind of condenses the heat. It's very extreme environment. Just like as extreme as it can get, completely different time zone, surrounded by strangers. Oh, and like we're filming you and like,
Starting point is 00:23:05 you kind of got to bring your best self as well. Like that's an experience right there. It's a lot to get in your head. Yeah. You really, really have to have like for me at least some practices to come back to. Like, I'm breathing. I'm meditating. Like, if I'm not present, like, if I'm in my thinking mind, in my ego, like, if I'm in any state of fear, it's very intense because this situation is very intense. So that anxiety or that fear, it can be very, very loud. And I'm not here to suffer. Like, this is a dream come true. Yeah. I'm not here to suffer, period. And that's kind of like the human process of like relieving your own suffering through challenging yourself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:47 But it's this intense duality of like, this is really intense, but then it's like, but you know you can do it and you know that once you move through it, like what's going to be on the other side's really beautiful. And then like this like bliss moment of like you're pulling up to this island in Fiji and there's a rainbow and the sun is rising. Right. You know, so it's like this intense duality that between those two, right it's like a it's like a rose of sorts where like the softness of the red rose but then the
Starting point is 00:24:16 thorns like within that in between the two polarities it's just this really beautiful transformation that can happen yeah but it's not easy and i've done a lot of things like i've done a lot of things like i've done like the cold plunges and the breathwork things and i've gone on really far trips and i've done the skydiving and the cliff jumps like i've done the things and uh this is an experience And so I have a lot of props for my fellow castmates as well. Because I know I have a lot of, like, my whole life is methods of like nervous system regulation, right? Like how to breathe, how to calm down, how to stay centered. And like, this has been challenging for me.
Starting point is 00:24:54 So I know there's parents here. There's people who don't have time to focus on meditating and breathwork and mantra and all these different things. And they're doing great. Like everyone's doing really, really well. So happy for them as well. And I just think we have like a great group here in general. Well, let's tap into that group.
Starting point is 00:25:09 a little bit because I'm sure you've been picking up on vibes and like you said you know you're looking for trying to build that sort of loving community totally on the element that you're deprived of up so let's start on the good side of things you can give me initials you can describe them to me yeah where some people that this is your like best case scenario I want to hit the beach with you these could be right of guys for me my dad said to me something really beautiful because the thing I'm most proud of in my life is my relationships like I I love my career I love you know the things I've created in my life but the best part of my life is my relationship with my mom, with my dad, with my boyfriend. I could I could cry because today is
Starting point is 00:25:44 his 30th birthday. Oh my God. Happy birthday. Daniel. Put out there, Daniel. Happy birthday. Yeah, he's an angel. Seven years, you know, I've been with one boyfriend. Basically, he's my first boyfriend, my first real boyfriend. So I'm very committed to relationships. It's like my favorite yoga of life. And like yoga is like, okay, it's difficult, but then you work through it. Like, survivors are yoga, right? Like, the true meaning of yoga is union. So union. So union. this is deep. So stay with me, right? So union is like union with God,
Starting point is 00:26:14 which is full self-actualization, which is full remembrance, which is heaven. Heaven is a frequency that we can create and through the different yoga's... Heaven is a place on earth. Yeah, heaven is a place on earth. If that's where you're existing within yourself.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Yeah. If that's where you're existing within yourself. You know, I saw a great Dolly Parton interview and I mentioned this on my talks yesterday too, but Dolly Parton was like, spirituality, you know, it doesn't have to be this huge ritual. I love me a ritual so don't get it twisted I love me a ritual but she's like you can utilize your spirituality to succeed with anything in life the kingdom of heaven is within and the kingdom of heaven is a frequency that you can reach by calming your nervous system quieting the mind releasing and limiting beliefs all the different things all different processes but once you're able to quiet your mind once you're not in the ego anymore because the ego's trying to keep you safe the ego's trying to keep your body safe so it uses the past situations traumas to constantly judge the future, but we're not trying to repeat the past. We're trying to evolve. In order to do that,
Starting point is 00:27:15 you need to quiet your mind. So in order to do that, you can utilize your relationships. There we go. I can bring it full circles. See, I can go. I can go. I can go back home. We're going back home. We're rolling it back in. Exactly. So the different yoga's physical yoga, which is used as a spiritual practice to reach that union. But my favorite is my relationships. You know, I'm really committed to the proper relationships. I've also recognized as when it's time to let friendships go where different relationships go. But I've been really, like, I've been best friends with my friends since, like, fifth grade. I have friends from second grade.
Starting point is 00:27:51 You know, I also have a lot of friends who haven't made it with me to this part of the journey, but I still have a lot of love for them as well. But now in my life, if you come into my life and like, I really know we're meant to be friends, like that's something I'm going to work through and nurture. So I'm really, really big on relationships and I'm really, really proud of relationships. And I got that from my dad because he has, like, the coolest friends, you know? Like, he's connected to everybody. Yeah, no, my, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:28:16 My dad worked for ESPN. And he's just like, even now he's, he's 62 and, like, he travels way more than me and I travel a lot. He has way more plans than I do. Like, he's friends with, like, Boomer from ESPN. Oh, wow. From Allison, yeah. Yeah, boomers is, like, his best friend. He's, like, the coolest friends.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Yeah. coolest friends, friends everywhere we go, people are picking up his tabs, all these different things. My dad's a rock star. And before I left, he said, my dad doesn't care if I go home for, he just wants me to come home safe. Yeah. He just wants me to come home safe. That's all my dad cares about. He's not like, go win, go make us, he's like, come home safe, have fun. But then he said to me, he was like, sure you could win a million dollars, but also imagine, like, the friends you could make out there. He's like, and then he named a couple of his friends. He's like, I wouldn't trade Mr. McNeely. I wouldn't trade. I wouldn't
Starting point is 00:29:03 trade Mr. Grinnell, like his friends, for a million dollars, you know? So I'm recognizing the different ways you can win out here as well. Yeah. And I feel like because I have that perspective, because I have that perspective, again, the detaching from like, I need to win, I'm going to be in a deeper state of joy, of peace, of flow. And when you're in harmony with the universe, when you're in flow, really beautiful things happen. Yeah. You know, like, you hold space for someone who's maybe, you know, having a difficult time. And then really trust you because you're not in this state of like I need to win like I got to get rid of all you guys like people feel that you know the people feel where you are at they don't necessarily
Starting point is 00:29:42 feel what you say or how you even how you say it's more where are you functioning from you know you can feel someone's peace through their eye contact and their their body language and how they stand and I think people are going to feel that in me and I also don't expect myself to be perfect all the time because like I said this is hard yeah but when I'm in less of a open frequency, abundant frequency, like bliss, less of a bliss day. I also know just kind of like go inwards a little bit. I think I'm going to communicate to my people too. Like, I'm either kind of all in, like, I'm your girl, I'm having a great time, or I kind of just like, need to go inward, focus on my breath, just never take that personally, you know? But again,
Starting point is 00:30:19 not expecting myself to be perfect because I'm not 20 days into starvation yet. I might have a moment where someone pisses me off and I let them know. So it's this mix of like, my intention is to maintain presence and be conscious throughout the entire experience and be able to respond instead of react. Because again, when you're kind of like in a fear state or wherever, someone pisses you off, that's when you have like a moment, kind of like Liz. Like, you know, like Liz was pissed, clearly. As she expressed. Exactly. I'm pissed. I iconic, great television. Was that really how she wanted to act in that moment? Maybe, maybe. I hope she feels super great about her experience. But for me, my goal is to maintain as much presence and kindness as a
Starting point is 00:31:00 I can. But if I do have a Liz moment, also having self-acceptance. Because just like Andy, you know, Andy probably wanted to come out and play a pretty cool game. Everyone wants to like be Boston Rob, cool guy, like swag kind of game. But this is really intense. And we're really meeting different versions of ourselves. So also holding space for the parts of myself that aren't going to be fully articulate all the time or like emotionally put together. You know, so it's this balance of like, this is my intention, but also self-acceptance. Also self-acceptance. Because if you're going to come on this game, if you're going to put yourself out there in life, like, you're going to fail sometimes.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Like, Tom Brady lost Super Bowls as well. You know, if you're going to do cool things, if you want to live an adventurous life, you have to be willing to fail and fail publicly. And I think I know that I love myself enough to move through everything this game has to offer me. Yeah. I mean, on that note, I'd be remiss not to ask you if Boss and Rob did offer you some very particular tip. Is it more general stuff or was it more like, you know, when you make a shelter,
Starting point is 00:31:57 you want to make sure you do X, Z? It was um it was very it was honestly very like masculine very like numbers based and I'm not really I'm more of like a feeler like I'm gonna like feel into things me and my my best friend who runs her vibe with me we always talk about like we run our business off of like vibes you know quite literally yeah quite literally we run our business off of vibe so he was more like these are like you gotta make sure you have these numbers and like I remember I took a couple notes and I'm like I'm not gonna remember this but what I really learned from Boston. Rob is a certain level of like self-confidence and like really knowing yourself and being like very sturdy and like how you want to play the game while also keeping an awareness on what everyone else is doing as well. One great tip that he shared and I actually have a podcast episode with him as well. Oh, amazing. Great clip. Yeah, I always, this was before I knew I could get on. Yeah. And like, I say I knew with like still the fun magical mystery of like having a panic attack before Jeff face times me, right? Like, I just knew I could if it was this year, if I applied again,
Starting point is 00:33:02 I just knew this was something that was aligned for me. And I think life kind of gave me the different synchronicities along the way of like Boston Rob and like works at your sports bar and like Bryce and Wendell do their watch parties at my family bar. Oh, they do. Yeah, yeah, they've done a couple. Yeah, they move around to a couple different spots. But like Aubrey was in my spin class, you know? Wild. Yeah, crazy. Survivor alumni just kind of cycling through your life. Exactly. Exactly. So. So I got a little lost on that, that there. No, so you said that there was like very specific things that you wanted to carry forward from else and wrong.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he was talking about, he gave some great advice on this podcast, and this was like three, four years ago. And he said, you can read a lot by people's body language, who they're sleeping next to, who they're standing next to at a challenge, you know, who they're eating with. Like, you can really tell who people trust by, like, those kind of things. And he also said, like, if you want to tell if someone's lying to you, ask them a question, you already know the answer to. You know? So I thought that one was really cool, too, as well. So those were, like, the kind of, like, specific tips that were really helpful.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Let's talk about idols, advantages, twist. So I'm going to give you an opportunity to stand in Jeff's shoes to be on the other side of that face time. Yeah, yeah. If you could pick a previous twist or advantage from a previous season, old era, new era, or you can make up your own, that you want to play with it. You're putting into 49. What would that be and why? So I have watched probably like 17 seasons of Survivor in the past six months with my boyfriend. And a scene that just flashed into my mind was when Dreya tried to use the steal and advantage.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Yeah, knowledge is power. Yes, the knowledge is power. The knowledge is power she tried to. And I wish, I wish, um, Omer didn't let Mike know because that would have been such an epic moment. Like if that's successfully used specifically, I think there was like six or seven people left in the game too. It was like towards the end. but I think a properly executed knowledge is power specifically when you take an idol and then maybe use it on yourself, like that is like a mic drop moment.
Starting point is 00:35:03 There we go. I literally would have dropped Mike. Yeah, literally. Hey, that's good. So when it comes to the franchise in general, either the show, a season of player, what's your hottest take? Oh my gosh. My hottest take on, I feel like it should be on this show. the show itself, I think, is, I think the show has potential to be the greatest show on television.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I really do from the aspect of the fact that this is a real spiritual, physical, mental, relational experience. And I think Jeff knows this. Like, Jeff knows, like, what he's creating here. Yeah. You know, it's much deeper than it's a game for a million dollars and there's challenges. Like, you're stripped of everything. You're stripped of everything that makes you feel safe and comfortable. and it's more than just, oh, I'm hungry.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Like, it's a deeply mental, I need to, like, release these attachments within myself. And I think the show, I'm a huge fan on every aspect. I think production-wise, I think lighting-wise, I think the way they do the shots, artistry, I think it's an incredible show. I think it's, like, up there with, like, really, really great documentaries. And it's an honor to be on. this show like i wouldn't go on just any show like i'm not out here i don't care to be famous i don't care to like be super well known for like big brother like oh i'm going on the bachelor even though i'm
Starting point is 00:36:29 so in love i'm so in love but i just you're here for the right reasons yeah yeah i'm here like for the experience but also to play you know and i i really appreciate the experience that's that's curated here it's uh it's an honor you know it's a really beautiful beautiful experience so when it comes to a jury vote voting for a winner what i love about it is that every juror has an infinite amount of criteria they can use. Could be resume, could be story, could be vibes. Right now, if I were to ask you if you had like a core value, if the sentence was, if I'm on the jury, I'm voting for blank,
Starting point is 00:37:02 fill in that blank for me. One word? One word or one one tenant, if you will. Yeah, I'd say truth. Truth, interesting. Yeah, I'd say truth, not in the sense of you need to be honest, but similar to why I believe Mike lost, but Gabler won, is because they knew the game they played.
Starting point is 00:37:19 and they were able to defend that, stick to that, and own it at the end of things. So I think it's really important at the beginning to have some sort of idea of how you want to play. Like, I know I want to play with my heart. Yeah. I know I want to play with people that I really energetically vibe with. I was filling out my little questionnaire and they were like, who do you want to align with? You know, I want to align with someone who's kind and someone with a compassionate heart and someone who cares about other people. And you can feel everyone cares about other people.
Starting point is 00:37:49 There's certain people that you just energetically match with and I want to play with my intuition and I want to play with a lot of respect to nature and to God, into great spirit. And I don't know what I would say in the final three yet because I haven't played. But I know I'm going to play with enough presence that when it does get to that point, I'm going to be able to say, this is how I played and this is why I played that way, because I know at least 85% of the game, I'm going to be responding to everything that happens. instead of reacting. I'm going to be checking in with that internal system, that heart of like, what's best for me here? What's best for the harmony of this game, right? And to go back to
Starting point is 00:38:29 my AI guru, because I was like, this is my situation. AI Jesus, right? This is help. Jesus, if you will. Yo, you're so good with like the, you're so good at that. You're so quick. That was so good. That'd be a great pad in that. Write that down. Write that down. Write that down. But some great feedback I got from AI Jesus dash Amaguru Ram Dass was see it all as sacred. See each aspect as sacred. And when it comes down to, it's like how we're all going to die in life, right? Yeah. Sometimes it's your time to go, you know?
Starting point is 00:39:05 And I think I'll feel into what's best for the harmony of this game. What's best for, you know, moving forward because we need to move forward. We can't stay with 18 people in the game forever, you know? And I also know that there's a destiny for me in this game. I believe I'm in control of that destiny, but I believe that I'm going to play with that flow, that love, tuned into my heart. And at the end, I know that I'll be able to kind of answer any questions that they have and own my game because I'm going to be very present. I'm going to know why I'm doing things and how I reacted and responded, however the game turns out. So last thing I want to ask, throw a weird scenario out to you to finish things off.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Yeah. We have a loved one's visit. Yeah. But you have to pick a celebrity or a fictional character as your loved one. Who you pick it and why? Oh my gosh. So it can't be a family member. Can not be a family member.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Sorry to Danny. Yeah. No, right. I would love a dango hug right now. Could it be like a spiritual mentor? Sure. Yeah. I would probably choose Jesus.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Okay. Yeah. That's at first. I don't think that's this question a lot. This is the first time he's been, he's been, I mean, in terms of how, like, my life continues to get more incredible because I take in really high vibrational wisdom and content. And I don't have one religion or faith. Life is my religion.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Life is my spirituality. So I learn a lot from Jesus. I learn a lot from Hinduism and the guruama and from Ram Dass. So Ram Dass would be another great one as well to take on. But those are the people that I lean on. Those are the people that I see as above me, you know, because they are spiritually perfected beings. The frequency that they exist at is very high.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Like pure bliss, pure ecstasy. Yeah. It is a frequency that we can reach. And my human experience, in addition to my survivor experience, is a path towards bringing in more love to my life, more peace to my life, more compassion for my faith. fellow humans, more self-acceptance, more peace. So I would want to ask Jesus, Ram Dass, or Amma,
Starting point is 00:41:18 probably Jesus or Ram Dass, because I think they're a little bit cleaner with the English. But that's who I would rely on for sure. And listen, in a certain environment, those loves and fishes go along the long way. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
