This lively episode captures the preseason excitement as the panel dives headfirst into the new “open era” with bold picks, wild predictions, and plenty of hilarious moments along the way. The conversation kicks off with reflections on past draft glory and a lighthearted debate about crowns, trophies, and the right accessories for Survivor success. The group then takes the audience through their real-time draft order selection, revealing the agony and anticipation that comes with picking winners (and avoiding grenades) in a season where tribe composition and twists remain a mystery. Emotional ties, vibes checks, and even astrological signs factor into the choices as each drafter champions their favorite players and reveals concerns about potential pre-game targets. – Taran snags Grey’s Anatomy actor Devin Way as his #1 pick based purely on charismatic “sparkle” and strong Dungeons & Dragons energy – Chappell leans into superfan strategy, selecting Danny Kilby for his podcasting chops, sequester experience, and old-school Survivor savvy – Shannon reveals her heart pick with sociology professor Angelica “Jelly,” sharing a personal connection thanks to her cat’s name and her excitement for a professor finally thriving in Survivor – Social game potential, competitive edges, celebrity recognition, and pet peeves, from loud chewers to transition lenses, all play roles as strengths and red flags are debated for nearly every castaway – The all-important “grenade” rule ups the stakes for round three, driving both fun banter and strategic avoidance as the panel tries desperately not to pick the predicted first boot Listeners are left to wonder if sparkling charisma or stealthy social play will be the key to conquering Survivor 51’s open era. Hey everybody, what's going on?
Rob Sisternino, and we are back here for a Survivor 51 draft.
It's a family reunion.
It has been way too long since we've done the draft,
and I'm so excited to be back together with everybody to draft 21 players of Survivor 51.
Let's say hello to the whole draft gang, of course,
taking a little bit of a break
from talking about survivors on Big Brother.
It's Taran Armstrong, Taryn. How are you?
I'm doing great, Rob.
Yes. How are you?
Okay.
Karen has his crown
if you're listening to the audio version,
ready to go,
coming off of a season 50 win in the draft.
We don't need to make a big deal of it.
Well, we need to celebrate to some degree.
Don't be modest, Taryn.
celebrate. We should probably... I did have a question for you, guys.
I just thought, like, could we just make my screen a little bigger just to make sure we...
Sure. Yeah.
We go full screen on Terry.
I just wanted to make sure that should I put Aubrey next to Michelle, do you think?
Or I was just wondering, like, maybe like that?
Because, like, you know, I've got...
I don't know if we recognize the Michelle draft.
That's a long time ago. I don't think anybody on this call was in that.
I wasn't invited.
I mean, it's got.
Stop.
It's embarrassing.
We don't need to be talking about this so much.
Okay?
I don't want to, I don't want to make this a thing.
Duly noted.
Okay.
All right.
Also, here with us tonight, getting ready.
It's a big week and a big month of the traders' season.
It's Pugie Zambiqui.
How are you?
I'm doing good.
I did not make a pit stop to Burger
working to get a crown to be here.
But also excited to be here with you all for draft number,
well, not number 51, but season 51.
Okay.
All right.
We're so excited.
We haven't, I can't even remember the last time I was on a podcast.
It might have been the last draft that I got to speak to.
Coming to us from science, it's Dr.
Leanna Boris.
Leanna, how are you?
I'm doing well.
I'm just waiting for my trophy for drafting Joe, who finished third place,
Both times I drafted him, so I'm hoping to get something for that.
But regardless, very happy to be here, excited for the new, new, new era.
Okay.
Also, that we celebrate tonight, this is like two birthdays in the class.
A Survivor 49 win since last time we drafted.
It's Chappelle.
Chappelle, how are you?
What?
Wow, I too won something.
Oh, my God.
I should have stopped by Burger King.
This is great.
I didn't even know. I'm so surprised.
Man, it's like I did so poorly in Survivor 50, I mean, 50 draft.
I think I drafted the grenade.
But I think due to a conversation we had about 49, I think I'm in control today.
So I just want to hit this.
Talk it out with all y'all.
Okay.
All right.
Stay tuned for that, of course, joining us, a person who actually got to meet one of the Survivor 51 contestants way back when.
Asia, how are you?
Hello.
I am so excited for us all to be back together.
I also didn't get a Burger King crown,
but I do have my Survivor hat.
So hopefully this brings me all the good luck.
And I pick the winner.
I pick the runner up.
Maybe I even pick the zero vote finalist if there's one.
I don't know.
I'm trying to go big this time.
I want to win.
You know, I've been hanging on to my D win for a while,
but it's time to win again.
Hmm. Okay.
I feel like I didn't bring enough accessories to this podcast.
You never do.
Yeah.
My biggest complaint.
Here with us, of course, enjoying her maternity leave during a long survivor offseason.
It's Shannon Gus.
Shannon, how are you?
I'm great.
I didn't bring any headwear.
I'm so sorry.
I didn't realize.
You didn't bring that fake tiara you bought that time?
Am I the one ushering in this?
Because it's really cringe, guys.
You started it.
I don't remember that.
That's a form of life of mine that I don't remember.
I'm going to, can we, we're not, this whole podcast needs to be us just saying Chappelle,
well done on that 49 win, hey?
Savannah.
Savannah, wow.
What a pick.
And how did you, how could you possibly have?
And she played twice, too?
I mean, look, look at me.
Okay.
My skill.
Okay.
My power.
We have a lot to get to.
We have 21 players to draft, okay?
And so we should get right into it.
A quick shout out that we are going to be back on the road.
Got a live show coming up.
Can you believe it or not?
In less than one month, we're headed to Washington, D.C. for R.HAP live.
Tickets are on sale.
We had the patron presale last week.
Tickets are on sale to the public at robesofs website.com slash events.
And we're working on a pretty good lineup.
up here for the DC show.
So you can go ahead and check out tickets.
And then also we will have coming up in later on in season 51.
I'm going to be in Charlotte as well.
Tickets are not on sale yet.
But when they will be, they will be at robinson website.com
slash events.
Okay.
First up, okay, Sam has a bunch of things set up for me.
Chappelle was the winner of season 49.
What? Oh my God, I forgot.
Season 49's draft.
And so, Chappelle, in your honor, we have a message from the winner of season 49.
And then we can explain the lore of why we're behind on season 49.
Okay.
All right.
So I think that we need to change to, we're going to have to all be, get very tiny, I think, to see, to see this video.
first,
here we go.
All right.
Sam,
let's play this message
from Savannah.
Chappelle,
what is up?
This is Savannah,
a winner of Survivor 49,
coming to you,
who is also,
in a weird way,
a winner of Survivor 49
because you won the draft.
Yes,
you picked me,
and I hear it's because
of my strong winner
energy that I just exude.
It has nothing to do
with my season
possibly being spoiled
on a cruise
by someone whose name rhymes with Bam Bam.
Okay, I know that has nothing to do with why you chose me as the winner of Survivor
429.
But seriously, I appreciate all the love.
I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to choose the draft order.
But that's okay because when I come back for my third round of Survivor and I have my
Tony Ark and I win my third season, I know that you are going to choose me as the winner
and you're going to be able to choose the draft order then.
So, anyway, sending you so much love.
Good luck in season 51.
All right.
there's savannah with a very special message to
Chappelle
We got some new lord
I did not know that Bam Bam was on the cruise running his mouth
You know that does not sound like him at all
That's what's so weird
Okay yeah
Yes okay Shepal
I don't think you need a bum bam though to know that
Chappelle had the first pick in the draft
and picked Savannah to win the Survivor 49 draft
Now we did the Survivor 49 draft
and then we did the Survivor 50 draft.
No, we did the 50 draft.
Then we did the 49.
Okay.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm like, like the space time continuum is wild.
I'm on a BB time trip.
Yeah.
And to be fair to Chappelle, too, because we did the Survivor 50 draft before they even played,
it was a little unfair for me just because I'm so good at drafting.
It might have influenced the outcome of the season.
I thought you were going to say that you were going to say that you.
didn't get Bam Bam spoilers.
So we drafted Survivor 50 in June of 2025, right before, I think before the game even
started, or maybe it was within days.
So we did that draft then.
We kept it recorded.
We did it for the patrons.
And then we put it out to everybody at when Survivor 50 was starting.
And so then we released that draft.
and it turns out that the winner of the Survivor 50 draft was Terran.
And so in order to celebrate Terran's win,
we have another special message from the winner of Survivor 50.
Okay, here's Aubrey with a message for Taryn.
Hey, what's up?
I am here to wish, Terran, a very happy Survivor 51 draft.
Best of luck.
Cheers to you.
I believe in you, Taryn.
and you believed in me and I believe in you.
Taryn always has like the best takes on people's motivations,
like their history that drives them for their future,
those like small nuances and inner workings of people.
And I think Taryn believes in people when everyone else has forgotten about them.
So thanks for picking me, Taryn.
And I believe in you that you're going to pick someone for the open era.
One suggestion, maybe pick a Scorpio.
Got to tell you, we've had a good stream.
week lately. It's up to you. Savannah, Kyle,
Aubrey, all Scorpio's three in a row. I'd pick a Scorpio. I think they're
suited to evolve for the open era. Best of luck, Taryn. Have fun. Everyone else. Here's
to Survivor 51. I have no clue what Jeff's got up asleep. Bye.
Okay. There you go. Taryn.
Such a nice message. Yes. Very nice message. Will astrological
signs? I don't think we know their birthdays. Will that
way into your drafting
tonight?
I don't know
their astrological signs,
but I did watch their little
intros at 2X speed,
and I know one of them
doesn't like astrology.
Astrology.
So, I don't know.
I always feel like there's rarely
Aries on these shows for some reason.
You know, everyone can't be an Aries
like me, Chappelle, and Taryn,
but I don't know.
There's something to that.
It's weird.
Are you guys,
are three of you all Aries?
We're born a day apart.
We're all Pice's.
Pisces gang.
Yes.
Wow.
Okay.
Wait, wait, what's Rob?
Libra, balance it out.
Yeah.
That sounds about right.
Right.
Okay.
So now, there may be some controversy here, but what I've been told is that Taryn is going to select the draft order for Survivor 51.
And what do I get?
you got a cameo from Savannah
You got real place for first pick
for a season where we knew the returnees
and one of them was Rousgard
No offense, Rizgard was actually great in the end
Rizgard, hey, hey, hey, he killed that shit.
Okay, look, not too much, not too much.
But okay, because it's Taryn, I'll go quietly,
but if it was one of the rest of these bums, I would fight.
Even me, Chappelle?
Especially you.
You don't be having my back in these drafts.
It's time we talk about it.
It's time we talk about it.
You'll be letting Shannon jump me,
all the time.
You're always between us
and you don't never say nothing.
You see a beat me my ass.
Speak up.
Aries gang.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right.
So here we go.
Taryn, we have three rounds of drafting.
The audience who really made out great
in the Big Brother draft
when they got Yash gets nobody today.
That's their reward.
I think they got somebody.
They must have.
got somebody in the Survivor draft, right?
No, no, do we do, right?
There was seven of us.
Yeah, I don't think we usually have.
Yes, I think they got three people in this, in the Survivor, 50 draft.
Yeah, they did.
Yeah, they did.
They did.
They did. I think they had coach. I think they had coach.
It's been a year.
No, coach was a hot pick.
Coach was a trendy pick.
Yeah.
I think. They had Rizzo.
They'd never seen Rizzo.
Probably Jonathan.
Stephanie.
I don't think they had Jonathan.
Yeah.
No, Jonathan.
Jonathan was picked.
They did have coach.
Really?
Wow.
They did not have results.
That was Mike Bloom's winner pick.
Well, it was a whole thing.
People were like, because the draft released like a year later.
Oh, you know, Mike Bloom talked to the people.
And then there was like, everyone's like, I love coach.
I didn't know.
Yeah.
I was so scared the win, the season was spoiled because everyone was like,
these idiots didn't pick coach.
They didn't pick coach.
Why didn't they pick coach?
Okay.
All right.
So, Taryn.
Is Rob in this?
Yes.
There's, well, that really just to make the math work.
This is probably why they did the open era.
It's probably why.
Just for us.
And that's so nice.
Yes.
Okay.
So, Taryn, do you have a draft order to share with everyone?
I'm very democratic with my draft order.
I mean, first of all, democratic in the sense that I am the,
supreme leader. I go first.
But then
Chappelle, you were actually
so kind earlier. You know how
to play this game. Chappelle, where would you
like to go? I would like to go second,
please. Chappelle can go second.
Puyah,
this is not a Burger King crown. It cost me $10
on Amazon. How dare
you?
I have one also. I have the same one.
Just get all crowns and come back.
Sorry, you didn't get a chance to wear it.
Rob, I believe you are kind to me in the previous draft order that you chose.
What would you like to go?
How about fourth?
Fourth it is.
Shannon, how about you?
I'll go third.
Leanna?
Sixth.
Asia?
All that's left is fifth, right?
Four-seventh.
You could do with Shannon.
You know, I just want to say real quick, I started the Burger King thing,
then three other people said it also.
So everyone was complicit.
You just gave us our lines.
I called it cringe, but I was more of a cell phone.
I mean, look at the three bottom people here on this list.
I don't know.
Maybe they all talked about Burger King.
Like, Karen, I tried to entice you with a cat, and that didn't even work.
I have a cat, too.
I mentioned Joe Hunter, so I understand why I'm here.
All right, so is this official?
I think this is the list.
Okay.
This feels good.
This feels right.
Yeah.
It's a weird preseason.
We are going off of, we have less information than we've ever had before in terms of we have some cast photos.
We have bios.
Mike Bloom asked them a question.
They have about two or a half minutes of video each up on Paramount Bloss.
Yeah, see, I heard that there was like no interviews at all.
And so I was like, oh, sick, this is going to be the easiest prep.
And then right before this podcast, I was like, wait, there are whole bio.
Yes.
Yeah, there weren't like Mike's interviews, but there were bios.
Like, it's the usual amount that you usually have that you usually look at.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So there are, don't worry, there are pet peeves.
Yes.
That is one of the questions they have.
But I have not ranked the pet peeves.
I'm just going to be reacting to them in real time this time around.
What I did do was I watched those little intro videos to get a vibe.
Okay.
So that goes to say that really we're going off of vibes mostly.
So this is maybe a real great exercise to determine who's the best drafter.
because there's so little information.
Those would probably be the worst exercise.
I mean, this is just...
Right.
Well, probably if we knew someone was a returning next piece,
then going through all of the interviews
and analyzing what everybody said.
It's kind of like forcing everyone to use my secret tactic.
Okay.
All right.
Well, Taryn, the pick is yours.
You can kick off the Survivor 51 Open Era
with pick number one.
All right.
My pick number one is,
The vibes pick.
I went through those videos and there was one vibe that stood out amongst the vibes.
And that was Devin.
Okay.
That makes so much sense.
Right?
I thought he had the best interview.
He seemed very, very vibey.
Okay.
Let's see.
Here is Devin Way.
Mm.
Yes.
His pet peeve is people who look down on others or treat people.
people less than.
So luckily he's going to love me.
And I genuinely,
I just thought that he seemed so charismatic.
He seemed very, like, confident.
I think that he was,
you know, granted, these are small videos,
but he seemed so personal that it could make him a target.
But I think that, like,
in a cast full of
what seems to be, like, big personalities,
at least from the little we saw,
I really like how sort of down to earth he felt,
how sort of easy to get along he seemed.
He cares about loyalty and honesty.
He cares about playing the game well.
He plays Dungeons and Dragons.
So he's got that little bit of like, you know,
nerdiness there, which I like, especially on Survivor.
So, yeah, I just stood out.
I liked the vibe.
I recognized him right away from Gray's and Sack.
Oh.
Yeah.
Like he, to me, he's a recognizable actor.
Like, if I were on that island and he walked, I would have been like, what the heck are you doing here?
Yeah, so I knew he appeared on the show.
I didn't know he was a recognizable character.
Yeah, he had a good season run.
And it was like, you know, in grace, they really do hone in on like the drama.
And so he had a couple of storylines for sure.
I definitely knew who he was when I saw him.
Got a car go through a diner or something.
And that's what I just heard on the podcast was.
Mike. That's what Mike said, right?
I mean, I'm not going to hear of gray's, but yeah.
Sorry, I apologize.
He was also in queer as folk also.
Yeah.
That's what I knew him from.
Same.
Yeah.
And he also was on station 19, and I'm one of the 10 people that watch that in his entirety.
I don't know.
I was, he was, look up these guys, IMDB.
It wasn't me.
Oh, my God.
I thought he definitely had the best video.
I totally agree with Taryn.
Like, at first, I was, I felt most conflicted about him because at first, on like,
the bare bones, I didn't feel that great about him.
He feels.
like a newer fan.
He said he was like a cross between I think Devons and Joe.
And all the ways.
Shout out to Hunter,
Leanna.
At the Joe pick.
Yeah.
And well,
but you know,
I mean like Joe was like,
I rewatched it,
but not the camp parts.
And we wondered how that would go.
And while I do love Joe,
it turns out not that well.
I kind of was getting that vibe from Devin.
But then when I saw the video,
I was like,
he is the sparkliest.
Like it did stand out in those videos.
And then you get to those extra details,
like how he's a gamer.
Like he has such a positivity about him.
people will really like it.
Maybe, maybe too much.
Like, he could be, like, a definite merge boot conventionally.
But I totally get on Pure Sparkle alone, the Devon picture.
Yeah, he does run some type of live reality game in person.
I'm not sure if it's a for charity, I don't remember.
But he does a thing where I think that he gets people together to play, like,
Survivor games in person.
Everything you guys are saying makes me feel better and better about him.
On Instagram, he did call himself a dead.
Evans and Joe Hunter love child.
So it's very interesting for that to be, I just don't know.
Because is that like what he felt before going in or after he played?
I think like, well, it's in his bio.
So I think he at least said that before he played.
But you definitely get that energy, that charisma that comes from him.
There were just those few moments when I was reading his bio about like loyalty, loyalty,
loyalty, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe.
Yeah, that hot.
That hot.
But I think in terms of like the charisma and I totally agree with Shannon.
about the sparkliness.
Like he just has that kind of energy
and I think people are hopefully
naturally going to gravitate towards him.
Okay.
Yeah.
The loyalty thing,
that was a concern.
But it's like this guy,
he's more of a gamer than you'd think.
So maybe they'll beat it out of him.
I had him pretty high on my draft board
until Mike revealed to me
in his little video he did with you, Rob,
that this guy is very tall.
And I think the energy that he's trying to exude
is supposed to be somebody like,
you know, there's going to be larger than life,
but also to be larger than everyone else,
you know, I think it's going to make them stand out so much.
What is very tall?
Well, I mean, taller than everybody else on the cast,
it looks like, just by the group photo I saw.
And so just in general, I mean, Mike says he's very tall,
so he's not, you know, he doesn't have to be that tall.
Mike's not a giant.
Oh, who's not that tall?
Yeah, shorter.
So, anyway,
but, you know, that chaotic energy is fun
when you can, like, hide it
and do chaotic things and then lay low.
I don't think he can lay low.
I think he's too sparkly.
I think he's so sparkly.
Everybody's going to be looking at him.
I think he's a,
he knows how to own the camera.
That's why his video was so good.
So I just,
I'm concerned about his target being very big after a while.
There is a sparkle line where it gets too much.
I call it the Caleb line where it's like,
I think he's there.
He's over the Caleb line?
He's over the cable line.
I think he's at the cable line.
That is high praise.
We'll have to see.
If you don't know how they feel about each other
because they didn't get to be interviewed.
But that's a way of the concern.
Asia, how did he do on Station 19?
Did he win?
It's not a...
It's a firefighter show.
Oh.
Did he win?
I knew it wasn't a reality show, but I thought it was...
He'll be really good at making fire then, right?
Yeah.
Taryn, what was the, like, a post-apocalyptic show that was, that...
Station 11, I think that was.
Okay.
Oh.
Oh.
Yeah, no, Station 19 is a Grey's Anatomy spin.
of the local fire station in Seattle.
Oh, wait.
So for all this time, we've been, we've learned
firefighters are good at firemaking
because they know fire.
But are actors who play firefighters,
assuming he was a firefighter,
can they also make that jump
to being good at firemaking
because did they also know fire?
I would trust Noah Wiley as my doctor.
I would too.
You shouldn't.
He didn't do that.
Yeah, he wasn't a firefighter, though.
He wasn't a firefighter.
What did he play?
in the firefighting show.
I believe it was an EMT on there,
if I'm not mistaken.
What was his wrong?
No.
Yeah, I can't remember exactly.
I just remember that face.
Okay.
I got rid of my IMDB page to search his height, so hold on.
Dr. Blake Sims.
Oh, he wasn't a firefighter.
Okay.
Did he get hit by a car and a diner?
Anyway, let's move on.
There's Devin Way.
We'll see if he leads the way to the victory for Taryn once again.
Okay, let's go to Chappelle.
Okay, Chappelle, pick number two is yours.
Yes.
And I think I'm going to go with the man in the Brandon Donlin shirt.
I'm going with Daniel Kilby.
Kilby.
As my pick, yes.
From what I can tell based on what Mike was saying and, you know, basically what the streets are saying,
is this man is a Survivor Superfan.
I believe he has a podcast about Survivor.
And, you know, sometimes when you
podcast about these shows, you go in
and you do pretty well. I mean, we see what's going
on in the Big Brother House. People are still there, so
that's positive. I don't know about
the women. Sometimes you don't.
You know, it varies. It varies.
You know, sometimes you're robbed.
Sometimes you're robbed, and people
should have got disqualified for voting you out.
But that's neither here nor there.
Daniel Kilby. This guy seems
cool. He seems like a fun time.
He looks like he's very energetic. He talks about
you know, that chaotic energy, but I think he's, he can hide a little bit better than somebody like Devin.
I think he's going to understand the strategy with this open error being whatever the hell it is.
Didn't he play sequester?
Isn't that basically just the open era of life?
And so, yeah, as far as I'm concerned, he's got the most practice doing this kind of stuff.
Yeah, I believe Mike said, I think he was on season two of the in-person sequester.
Okay, yeah.
I think he, did he get beat by Kim Kim, Kim Matina of Dondy fame?
Yes.
So, so based on that alone,
and I have to draft this man.
I had to get him before Puya did
because, you know, Puyah gonna show love to Kim Matina
every time. Yeah, he wasn't gonna make it
out of the first round. Let me say, put it that way.
Yeah.
I don't think he was gonna make it the seventh. I'll be honest.
Yeah. All right.
Well, here's Kilby.
Obviously, he knows his stuff
and is going to be somebody
who I think is gonna have a really good social
game and also combine that with a really
strong knowledge of the game.
I think that the fear here could be
that he goes way too hard, too fast,
is way too excited to be there.
But I think he's played enough of these games
that I think he has a good sense of what to do.
And he's from Canada.
They do well in this game often.
You know, ever since they let them in,
they just run the game a lot of times, you know.
So I thought that was a good sign.
Good omen.
And I think the fact that he's 30,
like he reads younger than 30,
and I think that'll actually be a good thing for him
because like I think he could be, you know, have that life experience for a 30-year-old.
Not that 30 is old, but I think he could blend in with the younger, the early 20s.
It's interesting him being involved, like so much in game design and like sort of being so strategic coded.
I'm just, I almost feel like this could go one of two ways in the open era.
Like it's either he's super prepared.
He can handle any twist that's being thrown at him or it's just so stochastic.
that he's like, but wait,
and then you just kind of have this like shut down
because you're like, well, nothing makes sense to me.
So I'm in the prior camp.
I think that I'm more optimistic about him.
I love that he's so strategic coded.
I'm just very curious to see what the open era has in store
and how him specifically as a game designer approaches that.
I think for me this archetype like usually tends to the latter.
Like some do well and many like have a panic attack on day one
because they care so much about this.
and then even go on to do well.
Like, yeah, I was Andy. He did both things.
But I think my concern is, like, we always draft these archetypes super, super high
because most people, like, know them in person.
I pick Brandon first.
Exactly.
And that's exactly my point is, like, from experience,
when you care too much about something,
I appreciate that in someone.
But it's hard next to someone who maybe just learned the show.
I mean, no one in yours about.
But does he know the show so well that he knows that also, Shannon?
But you can't control.
how much you care.
And like you go into it and you're just so in your own head and we see it happen all the time
with people we will go on to podcast with in the future, I'm sure.
You know, we will become friends with or are already friends with or we'll maintain that,
I'm sure.
But I didn't, I knew he wouldn't get to me no matter where I was in the draft order.
But I also didn't really want to touch the hot stove of that much passion for this
because I've just seen it go that other way.
I think Chappelle has been the person to me who introduced this philosophy into the draft,
which is pick the team you want to root for.
And I think he's a great person to have on your team for that reason.
The thing I liked about him is who he would like to be aligned with is someone who likes to have fun.
And I think that that is absolutely the type of person he needs because all that passion can bounce off of someone else who's just as excited to be there.
And it will center him.
I think if he's aligned with someone who's trying to be more low key or quiet or doesn't want to talk as much,
I think that's when someone like this can get wound up and like an energizer bunny just zoom through the game.
really needing someone to attach to.
If he has that person early doors,
I don't think we need to worry about that.
You know, my first victory here on the draft
was Marianne, and, you know,
she is an energizer bunny of Survivor.
And so she found Omer, and they took it,
and she won.
And Shannon didn't draft her.
So, you know, maybe this was an omen.
Well, he...
Mary Ann's not that archetype, though,
but Omer is a good version of that archetype, to be fair.
Hmm.
He has an interesting combination of pet peeves
because I usually am not fond when you say, you know, people who.
I like when people.
And he has when people say an obvious thing, but act like it's brilliant.
So again, that's probably us podcasters.
When people tell you wrestling is fake.
So he knows to say when people, but he then also has two kinds of people.
He very specifically then doesn't like.
Rich people who want to act like they've had a hard life and complainers.
why can't we just make the most of it?
So, I mean, I got to say
we definitely
we cover at least two of these, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I got to get out the doghouse.
I had to draft him, so, you know,
maybe he'll hold me in higher regard
than he holds the rest of y'all because he hate y'all.
We complain about obvious things a lot
and act like it's brilliance.
Oh, yeah, you know.
Sometimes it is.
Anything else on Kilby before we move on to Shannon?
Nope.
Okay.
All right.
Pick number three.
I think most likely to be an RHAP guest.
And what about it?
Very boring.
Yeah.
All right.
Shannon, you have the third pick.
You control the board.
Yeah.
So hard to do my regular preseason research,
given the big change in my life,
lack of preseason interviews.
So I had to look for other things,
signs from the universe.
there's someone on this cast
whose name is Angelica
and goes by Jelly
that's my cat's name
that's my cat's name
and nickname
what are the odds of that
so the second I heard that
I was like she's my winner pick
I hope she's good
and then I think she was pretty good
which didn't matter
because I'd already picked her
but that is my cat's name
Angelica Jelly
I'd message Mike immediately
I was like that's it
okay
yeah
Did you like the person, Jelly?
The one with my cat's name?
Yes.
Yeah.
George, like, she's great.
Like, she's, I mean, she has my cat's name.
And she's a sociology professor.
Yes.
Shannon, I would like to correct that your cat has her name because she is older than your cat.
Ooh.
You don't know how my cat is.
Your cat is only.
Your cat is only.
Okay.
That would be amazing.
And hopefully we get that.
but true i mean i didn't name my cat for her but if she's great i could work it into the name
i don't know but yeah my cat has her name either way um and she she honestly also seems great
like i think just like on stats alone really so much of it is about the name i'm going to try though
um she seems very self-aware to me like she was able to point out her own flaws which
maybe seems like a bad thing but i think someone who can say i'm going to be like chan for better or
worse. This is someone who knows themselves, knows how people might perceive them, and then
could counteract it. Obviously, if you're a professor of sociology, that's great for Survivor.
That's what Survivor is. You must be intelligent. Actually, that's my cat's name. Tick,
chick, chick, that's my going to pick. I love the pick. She was definitely on my short list.
I really liked her energy. I did even like that when she was in her intro video, when she was naming all the
things that she's playing, like that she wants to get out of Survivor, like learning her weaknesses,
learning all these things about herself. I'm like, yes, that like she's going to enjoy not only just
chasing the wind, but enjoying the day to day, which I feel like it's a lot more fulfilling.
Yes, a million dollars is great, but I feel like because it's not going to be like that or bust,
she could end up doing really well. Yeah, I like that she described herself as curious. And I
love that because I think especially when you're getting to know people, like being curious about
people's lives and wanting to learn about them and learn and make those connections, her study
of people, I think that that all bodes well for her. And then just, yeah, just kind of generally
her energy. We love a fellow PhD. So let's go jelly, aka Shannon's Cat. So I love the pick,
and I'm excited for her. I'm dying to hear what she's teaching the class about Survivor.
we'll have to ask
we're waiting
yeah
again like not like
a great history for survivor professors
but
you could change it
my cat's name isn't max
so
yeah
better dog name
she she did say
that she can't stand
overly boastful people
people who brag about themselves
all day every day
so I feel like I'm hitting
a good three for three
I think they're all gonna love me this season
fan favorite tan are strong
Yeah.
She was also the most comedic mascot at mascot camp.
Yeah, we got Weber the Bear on the show.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're glossing over what mascot camp is.
Hold on.
Oh, I have read A.J. Mass's book.
Yes, it's hiding here.
And it is all about mascots and mascot camp.
And I know he's somewhere just jumping for joy that one of his own got on here.
But, yeah, it's a big deal.
Yeah.
Yeah, we don't know a lot about Weber the Bear.
though.
Probably physically
tie us them
like that
you would have to
believe.
It's good prep
for Survivor.
That's like
different
elements
but that is
like facing the elements.
You think they're
a whole
survivor season of just
mascots?
It's all mascots.
I'm down.
But in costume
would be important.
It's like a
like a furry
adjacent
season of Survivor
because you know
the big brother community
got them
on lock,
Taryn.
I don't know
if you got the
emails.
Maybe Pooia, it's like a mass singer situation where then you get voted out and then you take the mask off.
Take it off.
They're celebrity.
We would get at least three people medevac in the first challenge because they have to get burst into Survivor.
They're not going to make it.
It's Survivor All-Stars, but you're not limited by your reputation because you're in the mask.
We're cooking.
No.
Wait a minute, Jared.
I love that.
All right.
Sexy Weasel, take your mask off.
Yes.
Survivor.
Survivor.
Y'all must not be giving emails from the big brother, folks, but I am.
Okay.
All right.
Anything else on jelly?
Jeez.
I dope.
Yeah.
And I think someone that calls himself multifaceted and then has the bio she had,
she, like Shannon said, knows who she is.
And I really think that's going to be good for her.
She performed very well on Issa Look also.
I will add.
Oh.
It's a little thing is on fire.
I've been seeing the clips, Rob.
Bryce was in rare form.
He was on one.
Yeah.
All right.
I think the survivor gods were like,
you are so bad at drafting.
Let me literally give you your cap.
What's happening.
Okay.
All right.
I am up.
It's pick number four.
And I'm going to go with a woman.
who's an entrepreneur.
Mike Bloom
did a lot of research.
Rob, you're so freaky.
Why are you so freaky, Rob?
Into her business profile.
It sounded like she is going to be somebody to watch.
I'm going to go with, give me Linnea.
Rob, you're so freaky.
Why are you so freaky?
Why do you know so much about this?
You said you don't know these people, but you're completely,
Your best friend, Mike Bloom did 30 minutes on her job and her business.
Your best friend, Mike Bloom.
Yeah, but you think I can join everything Mike does?
You're talking to me, like, it's me.
Mike did this, not me.
Rob drafting her.
You think I don't have what?
Was she the one that, like, sold lingerie?
Is that what's going on?
Oh, that's where it started.
Laundre is the PG version.
Yes.
Yeah, Mike went into the store.
No, I think that this is a great profile.
I've said this a couple times
but watching the Big Brother commercials
My wife said
Is Amanda Kimmel back this season?
No
It's...
Can you enlarge the photo?
Mike said he didn't see it
But I saw on a commercial
It did look like Amanda a little bit
Can you make it bigger?
Yeah
Enhance.
Enhance.
Yeah, so she's 25
She has a business franchise
I think that she's athletic
I think that she's got
a good social game.
I think that she
Did she also
Did she play rugby?
She said she hurt herself playing rugby
Yeah
Well that's not good
That's that good?
I don't know how many years ago
That's not good that she hurt herself
But she's tough
I think she said it was recent
Mm-hmm
I don't think she's coming into the game
With a
With an injury
I don't think so
She's not coming in a cast
And why mention it?
It's just one of those checklist things.
Yeah.
Everyone's done.
What do you mean?
I broke my little thing
playing T-ball in the fifth grade,
but I'm not going to say that
in some sort of two-minute bio.
We don't have time to hear about old injuries.
I thought she was playing injured.
No, she's not playing injured.
Yeah.
Are you concerned?
Are you concerned that she's going to laugh
after she blindsied somebody?
She says she's a laughing problem.
She laughs at funerals.
What's the worst that would happen if you,
like, it'd be worse if you.
you laugh before the blind side?
She said, but I mean, what if she does?
Yeah.
She said uncontrollable laughing
fixes that last for minutes
at a time, Rob.
Yeah.
If she knows she
shouldn't, it makes her laugh.
So, uh, oh gosh.
I think, I have faith. I think she's
going to be able to control herself here on
Survivor.
And, uh, Elaine,
I'm safe, right?
Mm-hmm.
Business owners
do very well on Survivor.
When I talked to Rob's fact checker, that's the best profession.
I don't know if it's specifically this business.
This business has 24 pages of products.
Yeah.
Listen, I feel like I'm going to represent the out-of-the-loop listener here.
What is the business?
Her and her brother own a sex store.
A chain of them.
A chain.
I think there's four of them.
So here's where Linnea, I'm sure, is going.
to be able to work with people.
They might be uncomfortable.
They come to her.
And she's talking them through a situation.
Yes.
And there has to be like a level of bedside manner to be in her line of work.
There has to be a comfort level with her.
And she has to disarm people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Shannon's always talking about the sparkly people.
I think her business is called Afterglow.
Yeah, afterglow.
I don't think I mentioned like that.
I actually think I didn't.
I mean, that's what you mean.
This too is a sparkly person.
I really didn't.
Please don't ruin that.
That's a glowing person.
That's not what the glow will spark.
That's so different to what I mean.
You're ruined something I was quite proud of.
We can know, like, we use that too.
Speaking of Afterglow, Mike Bloom.
Shannon, what are you have to say?
Much of your best friend.
He went to go.
He went to go.
He went
He did research
He asked the employees about their boss
I just want to say like usually they fly Mike to Fiji
And then poor Mike had to
He has to go to go to them now
It's in his town Shannon
It's in his town
Yeah Mike's a freak by the way
Button up why are the buttons hanging loose
Mike?
Oh you know what happens
buttons are unbuttoned
It's not the right photo
I mean why is he so happy
He's so happy.
You know why he is.
He's like, I just found the winner.
Draft this person.
Rana, are y'all going to, are y'all going to do the, what, what price is this game on the B&B?
Yeah.
Yeah.
This idea is some drug liva.
That's good, too.
Yeah.
She does have good pet peeves.
Okay.
This is, she's the one that said when people ask me about my zodiac sign.
So she's not fond of that.
And then an actual also good, when people exclude others in a conversation, like standing in a circle that you don't make everyone feel part of the circle.
She wants to be comfortable.
Yeah.
I like that.
Yeah.
So as mentioned, she hates the astrology stuff.
Like, I really respect her commitment to just like, she would have hated the cameo from Aubrey earlier in this podcast.
I think Kristen talked about astrology in her bio.
I'm excited to see how that conversation goes.
She's not about it.
And I quite respected.
So that was.
To comment on her physical ability, she also does Legree, which is super, super tough.
It's like hardcore Pilates, like similar to solid core.
It's like really into it's awful.
And so she's a real one for doing that.
So I think she's going to be a really strong physical competitor.
Yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
I've heard nothing but bad things.
Okay.
Okay.
there is Linnea.
Okay.
All right.
There's Mike.
I want to drop that foot with Mike.
Okay, let's go to Asia who has the fifth pick in this draft.
Woo.
All right.
I was really nervous that y'all were going to take my pick, but y'all did not.
So I'm very glad about it.
So for my number one pick, I'm going to pick somebody who is my age.
Yes.
I really liked her energy
and her intro video
Sharonda
I knew it Leanna
I knew it
Fine Asia fine
Okay
Let's bring up
Sharonda
All right Asia
Tell us what do you like about Sharonda
So she's in OBGYN
She's married
She said she's always been doing
stuff in her life for other people
She's finally doing something for her
her. This is for her. I do know through social media that she is a WMBA fan as well. So that,
I mean, already so many points in my book. I don't know. I just feel like her energy is very like
approachable and warm. And I just see her really thriving socially. And I don't know. I just,
I felt nothing but good vibes. Yeah, I like it as well. She relates to Serene.
So we love that for her.
I also like the fact that she mentioned her bio
that adaptability is something that she truly values
because I think that again,
thinking about the open era and just a lot of stuff
being thrown at you, being able to be adaptable,
being able to change plans on the fly,
I think is going to be extra important.
So I love the pick, Asia.
Is she was super low-key,
I felt like very, she was another person.
And I agree.
I think that like if this is kind of a boisterous cast,
I think that having that like,
kind of low-key, easy to get along with energy can be really useful.
She does have a very generic peppy, the loud chewers.
Like, come on, we can do better than that.
There's a lot of that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're going to connect over that, I think, because a lot of people had, it was crazy.
Yeah, she's a real doctor, not like a fake actor doctor.
The Tarant you should not be going to with your medical needs.
It's not right.
Must be intelligent.
You're telling me if Noah Wiley showed up as your doctor, you'd be like,
Um, no thanks.
Yeah, no, I wouldn't let him deliver my baby.
I wouldn't.
I'd go with Sharonda.
Mm.
She went, she studied for many, many years, decades, I'm sure.
She, um, yeah, she seems really smart.
No, O'Wiley, he plays a doctor for at least 30 years.
Yeah, and Shannon, I don't think that that is his specialty of what he, like, uh...
That's a different practice.
Stop this, Shannon.
Oh, that's the problem.
Emergency doctor.
Did she say...
Not a fake O-B-G-Y-N.
Is just fake.
Yeah.
Did she say,
If you got shot, you should go to know Wiley.
No, I wouldn't.
Did she say in any bios that she's going to hide her occupation?
I didn't see that.
I really hope she doesn't because I feel like when you do, you, that you kind of cut off that part of your life, especially being a doctor.
Like, she probably spends so many hours being a doctor.
It's been a minute.
Have doctors hidden that they are doctors?
There's that in Survivor Nicaragua, Dr. Jill said she was a nurse.
But I think it's very rare that people hide that they're doctors.
Yeah, they don't hide that too often.
I hope she doesn't.
What would be the reason that you seem way too smart?
Make too much money.
Yeah, I think so.
Yeah.
And then you don't need the money.
Yeah, that she don't need the million.
She was also first chair in an orchestra.
She played violin at Disney, she says.
Yeah, what's that?
I want to hear about that.
Right?
Wait, what part of that is the what's that?
Like the violin?
Did Disney have an orchestra?
Like, for what?
For like the parades?
I played trombone and Disney.
What?
I did.
I have photos.
For what?
Send me right now.
Damn?
Get the photos.
And it's just Mike Bloom at Disney.
I liked her hobby.
She likes fishing
And I'm hoping that she's like a secret provider
You know
When going gets tough
She like goes out there
Get the fish and everybody's like
Oh she's a badass
I gotta want that moment for her
Yeah she talked about how she was
Doing this for other people
And then she ended up saying
No I'm doing it for me
Doing it for Sharonda
Finally
I don't love that
I don't love that
Love that for her
No I mean I get it as a sentiment
But I feel like it's a bit tired
is like a statement.
And she felt so genuine
in her intro video.
Like I felt like, you know,
when you, you know,
we've seen the big brother,
like the big brother people.
They're just,
she's just very calm.
Take me, take me as I am.
I'll add him next time.
She just felt very genuine.
So I feel like I'm going to really look forward to,
like you brought up Puyo with Chappelle.
Like I'm really looking forward to rooting for her.
Taryn, do we know was Drew an alternate for Survivor 51?
I don't think so.
We know for sure.
We have to ask him.
I think he was,
he like almost made it on the Willy Wonka show.
Yes.
I think every single show.
I think he was in the mix.
He'll be on 99 to beat before the end of the year for sure.
And the floor.
By December, he's on 99 to beat for sure.
Okay.
He'll make it on the candy trough someday.
Sure.
All right.
The chat is indicating that it'll,
lot of people play musical instruments at Disney.
It's not that hard, Shannon.
Oh, I don't have Disneyland in my country.
I felt like that was really cool.
So I guess it's not that cool.
Okay.
There's Sharonda pick number five.
Okay.
Leanna, you are up with pick number six.
Yep.
All right.
I am going with someone who,
the reason they stood out to me was because of their profession.
So I am going with Eric.
Also, we love this.
His little intro photo.
Do me?
No.
But another RHA.
Yes.
It's always my favorite in the big brother.
Yes.
Yes.
All right.
Let's go.
Okay.
So I love the fact that he is 34 years old, mental health counselor.
Obviously, I got a few hesitations about him, given the fact that his advice from his
fiance or wife was basically like stop talking.
So I'm hoping that he's able to do that.
But he does seem like a super fan.
he's the only one I've seen post on social media.
So that also helped.
What is he posting?
Like, watch the season?
Yeah, I was just like, hey, I'm excited.
Watch me do this all season long.
But no, I think he's someone who's passionate.
I think he has a lot of empathy.
I think it was something that Mike brought up, like a concern about,
is he going to be able to cut people?
Like, is he too empathetic?
But I'm hoping that sort of the super fan in him helps him overcome that.
and he just, he, like, thinks that Survivor is, I think,
celebrating the ultimate human experience or something like that.
I really love that energy.
So I'm hoping that he comes into the game again, similar to, you know,
not necessarily needing to like, I have to have to have to win this
and hold on to that from a super fan perspective,
but more of a, I'm excited to be here.
I'm excited to go through the journey.
Leanna, I am so jealous of this pick.
I had never seen this picture before, but the moment I saw it,
this is inspired.
I'm sorry, it's the, it's the, it's the,
It's the way.
Yes.
It's so good.
Oh, my God.
That's so good.
That's such a good picture, man.
This is iconic.
I really like Eric a lot.
He's a huge Survivor fan.
He's a theater nerd.
He loves cats.
People tell him to stop talking.
I have a kinship with Eric.
So I really, really enjoy him.
I hope he does well.
I would have also taken him as a high pick.
So I think this is a very good pick.
Yeah, I liked Eric a lot also.
So he said he wants to play like Damabate,
but I think that he also was going to lean on his conflict management skill.
Bryce told a story about how he's resolved some conflicts in person between Bryce and when.
What?
I love it.
Yeah.
Themselves?
When they have conflict around me, I just let them fight.
No, he's resolving it.
No.
Okay, Eric.
No, you lost some points there.
Let them fight.
I think he's on to something with the season 50 fun.
I think he could really take off.
Yeah.
What was he mean about that?
Noshed me down a level.
I didn't like it.
I didn't like it.
I was like,
because I was torn watching him.
I was like,
he seems smart.
I like his occupation.
I feel like he could be really good,
but does he talk too much?
He seems like a big personality.
And I was sort of trying to figure out where along that line,
I thought what I would put him.
And then he said,
Survivor 50 Fun,
and I was like,
oh, no.
Yeah.
Oh,
Survivor 50 Fun.
I don't like it.
I hate when the cast
like their season too much.
Like 47, Asia.
Uh-uh.
It was getting 30-30.
You know what I mean?
30.
You know what I mean?
It's too much.
It's too much.
Um,
this might be.
If you can't get into Survivor 50 puns,
then what about?
Survivor 50 pun.
Oh.
Oh,
that kind of work right there.
Yeah.
Yeah, this might be the World Cup in me and the amount of World Cup I've seen.
He does have a striking resemblance to Lionel Messi and I can't unsee it either.
Is that a dissing?
I mean,
he's considered one of the best to ever do it.
No,
I mean like in your draft opinion, not messy.
I don't think he's going to be clinical like that.
It doesn't feel like that's going to be the case.
This pose is killing me.
It's so good.
I think we should all do it.
Let's all do it.
People are talking about the legs.
No,
not people are talking about the leg right out.
It's the light band and the meat.
Yeah.
It's so good.
It's so good.
The whole thing.
It's amazing.
All the podcasters lined up in a row doing this.
I'm him for Halloween.
Yeah.
I'm him for Halloween.
That shirt has to be easy to find.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Is pet peeve people with low emotional intelligence, uh,
slash maturity?
Yep.
Okay.
which is a little too serious for a pet peeve in my opinion,
which is funny because his next one is people
who take themselves too seriously.
Okay.
So he can't be fun enough to do Survivor 50 fun,
but then the pet peeve is too serious.
He's doing it all, Tarran.
Well, he's got to pick a lane.
I do think he is going to be a very fun character,
and I think he could be surprisingly,
maybe not surprising.
I think he could be very effective,
but I think, you know,
I'm going to be very interested to watch him.
Okay.
All right.
Leanna has made her pick.
And now it's time for Puyah.
It's a pick two in a row.
Yes, Rob.
Thank you for that segue.
And also, Asia, when you said,
my pick is still here.
I at least had the solace of knowing that
I had between fifth and seventh
once it was left to the two of us.
And Rob took my pick.
So I had the thought of knowing that I was going to be picking
a new regardless.
So I've been looking.
I've been kind of, you know,
one a little looksie here.
I have two picks sorted.
My first pick, I'm going to give this person the first pick distinction,
because what do you mean I was about to miss out on an Iranian on the cast?
I was very surprised.
Alexis is on Team Puyana.
Yes, Shannon, tell me why I'm so good at this.
Yeah.
I mean, you didn't, you don't know Alexis.
You're just finding us out today.
That's why I'm sorry.
No one's name.
named after my cat on this cast.
What do you want from me?
I had to go different direction.
Well, if she wasn't named after, like, the issue was that she wasn't named after my cat.
If not for that, she probably would have been my winner pick.
She's great.
She's got, she's, I, she, oh, damn it.
Anyway, I, come back to me.
Something that was, that sticks out to me and will for many years to come now.
If you identify with Kyle Frazier a lot, I will be looking into you and, and kind of
studying the tape there.
The man said, good at, like, not good at many.
things average at all of them.
And honestly, I love that.
So if you think you can have a little bit of Kyle,
mix them with a bit of Rachel,
there's no reason why I shouldn't consider you personally.
Two winners.
Pet peeve.
People who are ruled by their emotions and misogyny.
Yep, knock it off.
We don't like misogyny.
Which is like, is misogyny the other pet peeve?
Or is she saying people who are ruled by their emotions and misogyny together?
Oh, they're ruled by.
Oh, ooh.
Right?
Ruled by misogyny is bad.
Some might argue that that's the definition.
Sometimes.
Misogyny.
I kind of like it.
I kind of like it, especially if it's combined.
We got deep.
We're getting deep on this podcast, y'all.
Alexis, she has, I thought, a really cool story with her sobriety journey.
She also has a young daughter, so I identified with her.
But Puyah didn't care about that when he took her from me.
she is a lawyer
so she's
I'm sure she seems really intelligent
and also
she is going to hide it though
I think she wants to be a secret lawyer
which I don't love
but it's just like you take it off
the bingo card at this point
so yeah
I was very high on Alexis
and was looking at her
on my draft board
Asia something that gave me pause
is could she
get tagged as
Genevieve?
That's exactly who I
thought of when I was watching her intro video.
Yes.
So I thought it was, yes, I do think so.
But I think it's very interesting to see.
I can't really assess how she's going to be socially.
Like we see, you know, we see her vibe.
We see how, you know, she has this self-awareness about herself.
She's gone through things and grown from them.
But I just don't know how she's, because we don't know.
We don't know the tribes, right?
We don't know the tribes.
That has not been revealed.
I just don't know who, like, oh, she'd hit it off with her.
She'll hit it off with him.
But it's also hard to know with, like, the perceptions of people
because they left during Survivor 50,
so that they saw a different side of Genevieve and Survivor 50.
So I don't know if necessarily, it could be a, like,
they could remind her of Genevieve, and it's a positive.
Very, very true.
Very true.
What did Bryce think about the thumbs, Rob?
He was very down on that.
You're a fellow double thumbs, though.
You're a fellow double thumbs.
No, no, no.
And it was against his.
That was barely in the picture.
We caught it.
He, that Bryce was very disappointed.
This was like horizontal thumbs out.
This is even a very bad angle for thumbs.
It's all thumbs.
Yeah, all thumbs, no other fingers.
Yeah.
It's just like coming off that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that,
that hand, the praying hand,
it's just hard to follow that up.
I'm sorry, it is.
All hands and no hands.
You know, to end this pick
before I segue into the next one,
it is very funny to me that Shannon
didn't like that I took her pick,
didn't like the puns,
yet she's the one that's jelly
of my pick.
Oh, burn.
I do like the puns.
Not jam.
Don't trigger me on it.
Pooya, it's the time
for round two.
Okay, round two.
We're here.
No electric boogaloo, all me.
I, the next pick I'm picking,
honestly, at this point,
I'm about to have a team I'm very much rooting for.
Having admittedly not seen the video,
so I don't know how anyone translates over on the pages.
I see Chappelle being very worried.
Chappelle, I really hope I don't make your pick.
I really hope your pick stays on the board.
Me too.
But if your pick is Lewis Kelly,
that is ending right now.
I'm picking Lewis.
I don't think his pick was Lewis.
It wasn't, but I don't hate the pick.
So yeah, do you think.
Okay.
Okay.
Once again, I just feel like the words bounced off the page.
Lewis is going to be a lot of fun.
I'm here for that.
Lewis is excited to be in a game about lying.
I'm here for that.
And Lewis identifies with Venus.
Another Persian.
This might be like my like slumdog millionaire moment wherever any trace of Persian gets me
my third win.
Who knows?
I'm here for it.
only you could say that
I mean
he really
that I did
yeah I will tell you
that Lewis also
was the other
big winner
of Issa luck
yeah
he really
he really
he was obviously
did Mike go to the farm
like what did Mike do
did he
did he travel
no but I think he looked
into Lewis's content
Lewis has millions of
followers or subscribers
I want to say
on like Instagram
and you can't
say enough good things
about Lewis
yeah
him and his wife have a lot of stuff
going on as far as like that.
Lewis has seven million
TikTok phone.
Yeah, it's something like that.
That's insane.
That's crazy.
That's like how many viewers
Survivor has.
Why are they calling him baby Taryn
in the chat?
His name is Farmstrong.
You know, that's different.
Yeah.
Bryce thought that Lewis's
image was that of
a baby Taryn.
Oh.
Yeah.
But that's the thing.
See, the reason why I couldn't drive Lewis
is because he didn't come here to play Survivor.
He came here to serve looks.
He came here to eat.
Look at him.
Look at him.
He came here with the Express.
Like, you know, when you're prepping for Survivor,
he was like, what am I going to wear on the jury?
These are things that I would be thinking.
You know what I'm saying?
And so when he popped out in this, yeah, I don't trust it.
Would you say, Terry?
That was my MO as a baby, serving looks.
Yes.
Yes.
All he could do was serve.
It was such a young age.
But yeah, Lewis, I just feel like he's here for the wrong reason.
he's going to get these looks off.
He's going to get a million more followers,
but I don't know if he has the survivor takes that I was looking for.
He'll win a million hearts.
He's going to win more than a million hearts.
I think he's going to be very fun in the season.
I don't see him as the winner of the season,
but I think he's going to add a lot to the season.
Yeah, I really liked his vibe.
He was one of my top vibe picks,
but he said he wasn't a fan of the show, I think.
So that was like,
well, you know, we've all said things.
Again, yeah.
He came here to.
serve. He did not come here to play
Survivor. He has no pet
beings listed. But his favorite hobby is lying, which
is fun. He confused me too.
Yeah. Like, not just
in the game, but in life. Lying as a hobby is wild.
That's a crazy thing.
Yeah, I mean, he's
definitely like
chaotic, right? Impulsive.
Lying. Wants an alliance partner who's also
really chaotic, which
again, in the open era, could go well for him.
But I think my concern is that too much chaos might be too much of a good thing.
So I would be concerned for him.
But I agree.
I think he's going to be a really, really fun character to watch.
Maybe in the era of permanent uncertainty,
maybe you just need to be super chaotic.
Exactly.
Roll with the punches.
I felt like the chaos part was concerning,
the lack of knowing the show possibly was concerning,
the possibility that he might stand out as someone who could be
like, hey, aren't you that guy on TikTok that I sometimes see?
And then spread that was a little bit concerning.
I didn't love that he said he would be a better, cooler Tyson.
Like, we have a cool, great Tyson at home.
I guess it's something Tyson might say, like, for someone else.
So I guess that kind of fits.
But look, Lewis has millions and millions of followers.
So in the interest of that, I think he's wonderful.
And I think he's going to do really, really well.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
Anything else on Lewis?
Were you about to see something?
I feel like Asia was the same.
I was going to say, like on the Tyson note,
I'd love to hear what he has to say about that.
I don't think he's going to, I don't know if he knows this yet,
but he's not going to like that.
He will not appreciate that.
All right.
Baby Tyson, maybe.
Leanna, you have your second pick coming up.
No more hands.
Yeah, so this is, I'm a little torn here.
I'm going to go with a heart pick,
someone who I'm really hoping will survive
the early days of the season so that I can continue to root for her.
And this would be Kristen.
I knew it.
Queen.
Yes.
We honor got my pick.
Let's go.
Christ.
That was my next pick too.
Look, I'm hoping she's got plenty of experience.
Now, again, I think she could be a high variance pick.
I think this is someone who could potentially struggle, especially, you know, comes in,
wanting to run things or coming up, you know, too strong, too intense of a personality.
But I think that her background is really unique.
Growing up a queer woman in Idaho, having to navigate what that universe looks like,
I think is something especially, I think she's 49.
Yeah, 49.
I think that that's something very admirable, has a lot of experience in life.
So it's definitely a heart pick.
I'm really rooting for.
Yeah, I am pissed about this pick because that was my next pick.
And that always happens with me and Leanna.
Why we can't be next to each other.
But I love this pick.
Same.
I do really hope if she can get through the early days,
I think she has a long run in her site.
I vividly remember meeting her at the San Francisco.
Same.
Same.
Same.
So cool then.
But that was free 50 fun.
So.
Very excited.
Yeah.
So I gambled and lost.
I thought that there was a chance that Kristen was going to come back to me on the second round.
Bad gamble by me.
Kristen, I have spoken to on many occasions, really knows her stuff, really a smart player.
I love the background in crisis management.
I think it's going to be really interesting to watch that play out.
I think also it's not going to be a slouch in the challenges, and I think should be set up to do pretty well.
I think that maybe the one thing you would say could be held against her, I believe,
oldest cast member on the season.
So that's always a hurdle for players to overcome.
But if anybody could do it, I think it could be Krista.
Yeah, she's not giving oldest.
Yeah.
No, but the thing is, because, well, she's 49, which isn't old at all, but it's such
a homogenous age cast.
Like, she's nine years older than the next two people.
And then they're several years older than, like, the clump of age, which is the whole
cast.
So that's the concern.
Obviously, you get, like, Nate as an example.
He had some funny bits about, like, not an example.
understanding the lingo or whatever, but like he worked well with everyone.
But I'm not sure if the oldest woman on a cast has ever won U.S. survivor.
Denise?
Yeah, Lisa was older.
Yeah, I don't, yeah.
So I'm just like thinking from a pure stats point of view, that would give me pause.
But otherwise, she seems really cool.
And it could have happened.
Maria was right there.
Like, it wouldn't, it wouldn't be absurd.
Robbed.
Yeah, they jumped her.
They had to take her out.
She is a phenomenal pet peeve.
I mean, this is top tier stuff.
First of all, she says,
I really dislike the term pet peeve.
Like, what even is that?
Sounds like a poltergeist dog.
Great.
Turn it around on the pet peevers themselves.
You know what my pet peeve is?
The word pet peeve.
Love it.
But she's also, she's covered herself.
She's covered her bases.
In case you need an actual one,
she says, crumbs on the kitchen counter,
really any surface.
Sends me, great pet peeve.
Small little nuisance.
Really annoying, though.
Who likes crumbs on a kitchen counter?
or not her. I love it.
Ants, yeah.
I met her in San Francisco as well,
and I really did feel like she was so inviting
and easy to talk to. And so, yeah, when she popped up on the cast,
I knew who she was immediately. Like, it wasn't even like,
I have seen that lady before. I knew exactly who she was.
And so I think that bodes well, because she made an impression, for real.
Exactly. Imagine that how many people, like,
we have interacted with across multiple live shows
and multiple events and stuff.
and to see someone and be like, wait, I know who that person is, that shows, like, she had made an impression, like you said.
Yeah.
Okay.
Good pick.
All right, there's Kristen.
Okay.
So let's go to Asia who has the 10th pick in the draft.
So I'm over here panicking, sweating.
I don't know what to do.
My whole game plan has just been destroyed.
Want to switch?
Bees more time?
No, it's okay.
So a lot of great picks, a lot of people that I had planned on picking,
but that's the nature of the way this goes, right?
So I'm going to go ahead.
My last pick was 34.
This pick is also going to be 34.
I'm going to go with Anna.
Okay.
She's been a fan since she was nine.
She's a voice actor.
she, where is she from?
Oh, she's from Canada.
Yeah, exactly.
We know what's up with that.
So she's going to do very well, as all Canadians do.
And I just really liked her vibe.
I think she was one of those surprised, like, casting choices of like, wait, she already has some, like, is pretty notable, right?
Between, like, her and Devin and Lewis.
And so she said she's been a fan since she was nine years old.
So she has some legs in this game.
In understanding Survivor, it's not just a random celebrity wanting to come play Survivor.
She's a Survivor fan who happens to be a voice actor.
And to separate her from Devin a little bit more, I feel like with me and Asia, we saw Devin and was like,
oh, we know him from Grazenademy for other various shows.
But with her, she's on TV, but I've watched the boys.
I wouldn't have just immediately pegged her as,
oh, that's the woman from the boys, you know,
and I think you can really go undercover a little bit.
It kind of, you know, keep your threat level low,
but also not have people going,
oh, well, you don't need the money
because you're a celebrity, blah, blah, blah.
So I think that might work in her favor for sure.
I mean, unless other people just recognize there
and I'm just, you know, just went over my head.
Mike seemed to represent that she had like a pretty decently sized arc
on the show.
I have not seen it.
It's tight.
You know, it happens.
You know, it's not like, she's not there every season, every episode.
You know what I'm saying?
But she does have a little run.
So I think honestly, similar to Devin.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like her a lot.
I like her more than I back her, though.
Like, in terms of my favorites, she seemed really personal.
I really liked her video.
I think she could be one of my favorites.
But then she herself is like, I'm not athletic.
And I like that.
But I don't back it.
That's my concern.
I think any person who puts themselves through,
League of Legends can handle anything.
So I absolutely think she's gone through the ringer.
And I think she's going to be fine dealing with a lot of perseverance if she has that coming
her way.
She was one of my vibe picks.
She was a high one for me, but I was kind of in a spot where I'm going back to back.
So I wasn't going to back her in a back to back.
But if I was in any spot there, I'm picking her.
She was the other pick I was deciding between Asia because of course.
I think I like, I like that she describes herself as good.
goofy. I just think that that's like, that's going to be hopefully fun out on the island. And I do agree
with what Puyah mentioned in terms of having a thick skin, not just because of League of Legends,
but also because of being a voice actor and dealing with rejection and having to deal with criticism
and hopefully that perseverance to be able to bounce back if something doesn't go your way is a trait
that she has. And I think that that will be advantageous on the island. She had either a TikTok or a reel
of her on a boat. And it was like, when you're, when you thought you were going to the Love Island,
Love Island Island, but she actually ended up going to the Survivor Island.
She does seem goofy.
Like her social media presence has been very funny to me.
Yes.
Yeah, I saw a post that was like, hey, let me have my moment.
This is my moment.
And you know what?
Absolutely.
Have it.
Yeah, she doesn't like transition lenses.
It's her pet peeve.
It doesn't like how they look.
Oh, okay.
She says they're weird to me aesthetically.
What are those?
Can someone explain that to me?
It's just like when they become sunglasses.
Yeah.
Yeah, like they're glasses, then you go outside.
They transition to sunglasses and then back.
That's it.
But see, Taryn, I feel like that's our vibe.
You know what I'm saying?
I feel like that's what I mean.
That's an amazing innovation.
Yeah.
A terrible pet peeve.
It's not a really a pet pee.
Yeah.
I'm pretty sure it's been a thing like since we've been alive.
Forever.
Wow.
It happened very quickly after they've never heard of that.
The worst is when they don't transition fast enough to have your.
Yes.
When is the problem?
Like, you know those mugs that when you should put hot liquid in them?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You go outside.
I've never seen a single person in my life with those.
How have I not?
You just didn't know.
My dad has those.
Yeah, maybe you don't realize it.
In the 90s.
Yes.
Well, Pooia, if you see them outside, they have on sunglasses.
If you see them inside, they don't have them.
So you wouldn't know.
You have to be walking outside with them.
You have to get the transition alongside.
And now for another transition.
Let's move on to the 11th pick.
We are now going to be after this halfway through the Survivor 51 draft.
And this is tough.
This is where really we don't know a lot.
I've gone back and forth a few different times,
and I'm going to go with the person.
Asia's got me really looking at everybody's ages.
I'm going to go with the person who I think is,
the better survivor age.
And I'm going to go with Jenna.
I was on a season that Jenna won.
Maybe it's time for Jenna to win Survivor again.
She is a photographer.
She has a survivor clause in the contracts for all of the weddings that she does.
She's also an entrepreneur.
She's a hardworking lady.
And she seems like she really wants this.
And I think that they're going to have to kill her to get her off the island.
It's her lifelong dream.
It's her lifelong dream.
And she seems like that she's going to come in.
She says she's going to be empathetic, determined, and energetic.
What more do you need?
Rob, she couldn't even think of a pet peeve.
She's too positive.
That was bad.
She's too positive.
She's going to be like Kenzie and Charlie.
That was all that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, the Kansas versus Charlie debate, be both.
I want to know how many, I want to know how many brides, like, saw that in the claws and just have been laughing for years.
And then summer, 26 came.
Unless you were the bride that you got the wedding canceled.
Should we check her reviews?
Because there might be some pretty bad ones.
Like, she left us on.
She was going to survive.
We were getting married.
We have no photos.
She better win.
Yeah.
Well, she wants it so much.
Obviously, like, everyone are U.S. survivor, other than Lewis, like, loves it.
But, man, she, like, really loves it.
Like, and I really like her.
Like, I hope for her sake she does well.
Yeah.
But I feel like that, that panic attack energy could be with her as well, is my concern.
Yeah, it could be.
She's 30.
I like that also, you know, not to tip my hand too much, but I was, I think I was looking
at some younger contestants.
And so I think that I ultimately landed with Jenna as somebody who,
I think is just going to be very excited, very eager.
I think that in the open era, I think especially,
I think it's going to be a lot of like twist of the week.
And it's like, hey, don't be lazy.
Don't be the person.
Like I think a lot of these rounds are going to be kind of like musical chairs.
Like the music's going to stop.
Somebody's going out.
She's not going to let it be her.
You know what's interesting about her?
So she said she's been watching Survivor since she was seven.
But then she said she wrote a poem before she ever.
heard of Survivor where she said, I can't wait for you to look back at all these times you believed
in it.
Well, one of her hobbies is lying.
Okay.
I think what she was trying to say was before she heard back from Survivor is my some
type of.
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Maybe.
I'm thinking a little five-year-old Jenna.
She said the poem was inspired by her dream to play.
Okay, okay.
I stand corrected.
But then she gave that, she said, I gave away a hundred.
of those
that one poem
and that she will be
the sole survivor
because she has an army of people
those 154 people
I assume
that took the poem
and I'm just imagining her
like handing this out
on the street
to just like hey
here's a poem
now you're rooting for me
on Survivor
and that would be annoying
to me because then I would have
a question
hate bribes
is this 154 different poems
or this is the same
okay
it's the same
it's the same
I think yeah
Are they all Survivor themed?
Maybe these are questions for off the post.
The poem is,
I can't wait for you to look back
at all these times you believed in it,
believe it was visible.
What?
Yes.
Aaron, my God.
At all these times.
Isn't it a poetry writing contest?
What happened?
Maybe it would help if it was like in stanzas,
but because it's paragraph format,
we can't get the vibe of the poem.
Yeah.
And also Taryn read it weirdly.
Listen, would you like to read it, Shannon?
Where is it?
I'll try it.
I need to find it.
Do it justice.
I think you have to adore her.
It's in the name.
Ah, ha.
Yeah, I think, Rob, this is a great pick
because I think Jenna adore will do better
than Dwight Moore.
There you go.
What?
What?
What the fuck was dead?
What?
That's the angelic sound effects.
That's good.
I was like,
do my,
yeah, open a tab?
That's the beginning of the poem.
You got to play that.
This is the whole poem.
I can't wait for you to look back at all these times you believed in it.
Oh, yeah.
No, Shannon.
No, Shannon.
You brought your ass out here to read.
Now, read.
You're messing it up, Shannon.
Yeah, Shannon.
Is it a poem?
No, Shannon, you popped out there.
Shannon.
It was a poem when everybody else read it.
Your turn.
Do it right now.
Do it right now.
You do it.
It might be puncture.
There needs to be a comma.
We're missing a comma.
Yeah.
I can't wait for you to look back at all these times you believed in it.
Believe it was visible.
That's what the draft is.
Believe it was visible.
It was actually crazy.
Possible?
You think it was auto correct?
Right.
This might have been one of those like transcription errors.
I'm not sure.
Now we're editing her poem.
It's like a really meaningful thing.
This wasn't a chat GPT poem.
Was it?
No, M-Dash.
We need to give it to other people.
No, M-Dash.
Yeah, let's fix it and then give it to those 157 people
so they'll have the updated version.
Okay.
All right, we are now on the back half of the draft, okay?
And now let's go to our own Shannon Gus for another pick.
There's a few good people left, I think.
A few people who are high on my draft board.
And I'm between three people in particular.
I'm going to draft the mic we don't have a photo of outside of sex shop.
Okay.
Very specific, Mike.
Yeah, there are two mics.
I'm going with that one.
All right.
Mike seems great.
He had a survivor proposal again.
I get that.
He seems like, I don't know baseball, but he seems like he's important to baseball.
He's an executive of baseball.
He's an
Captain of baseball
Intelligent I'm sure
He obviously a huge fan
And I think his whole thing was like
I'm not going to be
You know
The smartest or the most of the
I'm just going to be just good enough
And that is kind of what Survivor is
If you can manage it
So I like his attitude
And I like Mike
So that's my pick
Is it just me
Or does Mike look like someone
Like I don't know why he's such a familiar
face
He really really does
Who is he?
Let me get to it.
Let me enhance, enhance, enhance.
He has to look like somebody.
Can we reverse image search?
Someone from survival?
Right.
No, you're right.
You're on to something, Terry.
I can't, I don't know.
Chat, help us out.
He looks like someone.
All right, chat, we want,
who does Mike Pinsky look like?
Mm-hmm.
Wrong answers only.
In the meantime, he has, his pet peeves are misused words,
overused words.
words and under seasoned foods.
So he really likes over, under, and using things.
He's not going to like eating out there.
Is the food under seasoned Asia?
Well, the little bit of fish that was floating around on the Lavo beach had no seasoning.
Caleb Reynolds almost died for salt and pepper.
Yeah.
May say more about him.
Okay.
Do you think that if Jenna goes and reads him her pose?
Jeff Daniels.
Oh,
he was kind of Jeff Daniels.
Yes, that is it.
That is that,
that is,
that's what I'm talking about,
Terry.
You know,
that was the chat.
That was,
Jayley.
Okay.
Yeah, he,
yeah.
Okay,
it's right there.
It's right there.
Yeah.
It looks like he could be his son.
Yeah.
Does anyone have a take on my pick
other than who does he look like?
And.
I liked him.
I thought he had good, good vibes here.
I mean, dangerously good vibes in the sense that, like, it could go really well.
It could go poorly in that sense.
Like, I was like, I feel like there's a world here where his executive experience means that he's going to, like, you know, be that Nate, you know, that's like, oh, you know, I'm coming in.
I'm like a successful dude, but I'm also really cool.
Or it could go the other way.
but he's such a big fan of the show that I felt like,
I felt like he's going to be able to fit.
I felt,
I felt good about Mike.
Maybe this is emerging as one of my pet peeves.
I don't know.
But if you're a huge fan of the show and you were asked,
which player do you identify with the most?
You can't name four people.
You just can't do it.
I don't think you should be able to.
Is three the limit?
Three is,
we're pushing it at three.
I feel like two, maybe.
Like maybe two.
Because at that point,
I don't know which one I would.
you know, because if you give me one or two, I'm like, I could see that.
Four, it just feels a little too convenient.
Like, now it could just fit you anywhere, which, like, that shouldn't be the move.
To be fair, it was two questions.
Which do you identify with most?
Which do you think you'll play most like?
Which kind of invites multiple answers.
I mean, in baseball, you used to talk about nine players, Puyah.
So you're really cutting on the list.
Here's the line-up today.
There's like eight pitchers.
Leadoff, Boston Rob.
Batting second. Tony.
Yeah.
The people who say there's no one I'm like
and I'm going to play a totally new way are way more
annoying than the people who have multiple people, to be fair.
Like, I agree, but there's it.
Let's agree with both annoying.
No, one's way more annoying.
I just, Jeff has said that someone from 50 Fun,
I think, who could be
a new host.
Well, he's wearing a blue button up shirt.
He is dressed in the, like, yes.
A Jeff Gron.
So I've narrative found, I think that it could be Mike, which means he must probably do pretty much.
Did his clothes not make it out of baggage claim and they gave him Jeff Maccos?
Exactly.
We didn't think he was just Jeff Daniels and then Jeff Daniels could also.
Oh, there we go.
They got the bag name swap.
Yeah.
My concern with Mike is he's obviously a very smart guy.
He's going to try to act as though he is not that, not as smart and try to not show that off.
And I'm just worried that people are going to look at him and say,
This guy seems like that he's like a pretty smart corporate guy.
Yeah, I could see that.
He also, I think he, I think it was in his bio when he talked about, you know,
it's all about like baseball is all about numbers or maybe I'm just thinking of money ball.
I don't really remember.
But anyway, so it's like if you, almost if you have this over reliance on data,
you're not necessarily reading people.
And like Survivor is about feelings and like getting out and really like feeling the players,
not necessarily just like looking at their stats.
So I'm like hoping that he can kind of divorce those two
and really get to know people.
But we'll see how that goes for him.
Okay.
Anything else on Mike?
All right.
Let's go back to Chappelle for the 13th pick in the draft.
Sheesh.
Yeah.
I don't know what I'm going to do.
There's fun.
I believe in you guys.
I believe in you.
a lot of fun picks, but they're like some red flags that I'm really trying to avoid.
You like red flags.
I do, but I do.
You know me so well.
I do.
They call my name.
So I, I kind of want to go with the bigger red flag because if Terran takes this red flag,
then I'm like, I'm going to be sad because I should have just did it anyway, you know.
But then I can't trust it.
He's going to let this come.
Okay.
All right.
I'm going to go with Ori.
Okay.
I feel like he's a walking red flag for survival.
driver players. He says he loves food
and there's not a lot of that out there.
But also
he's a big guy. I feel like he's going to draw attention
himself, but there were so
many parts of his bio that I just like,
there's so much me in there.
You know, like I love my shoes.
You know, I love my shoes, y'all. And I just couldn't
even, I couldn't let y'all get him.
What if he wears some nice shoes out there? And I got
room for this man, you know? So,
you know, or like I said, I have
some issues, but for the most part, I think
I think I'll be having fun rooting for him.
Some issues and some shoes.
He obviously reminds me of my dear friend TK.
Yeah.
And so I start to think about like, okay, is he going to be really competitive?
How is he going to vibe if he, if, you know, his tribe is the one, like, not winning if they go to tribal multiple times.
Because as a former athlete, he, like, winning is the name of the game, right?
So I think it's going to, I wonder how he's going to navigate.
that. But he does seem pretty likable to be like a fitness coach. You work with people
one-on-one. You know how to have those conversations and have someone feel comfortable and
vulnerable enough to you to share their fitness goals and work out with you. So he could do
really well socially. I just wonder how he's going to handle the competitive aspect.
Yeah. He reminded me a lot of TK as well, but in like a concerning way because I almost got
grenade on TK and would have lost that one draft I won that one time.
So that was a concern for me and not to throw a stone at that glass house, but he was verbose.
Like in the three words to describe you, he was expanding on all the words.
He wrote a paragraph in response to three words to describe himself.
Two of the words, by the way, consistent and the other anomaly, which...
I love that, to be fair.
A little bit contradictory, but...
Also, one of the words...
He's so consistent that it's a consistent that it's a...
an anomaly that he can be so consistent.
You can do both. I think you can do both.
And his pet peeve is that he hates idiocy.
He says, I hate idiocy.
I have no patience for people who lack
common sense. My second pet peeve is
somebody that absolutely needs attention.
I know it's ironic to say that on a TV show, but
that look at me, people bother me.
Just chill.
Meanwhile, he's like,
I'll give him that.
I worry for him because he's on a cast
of people who applied to be on a television.
show. Yeah. Yeah.
Literal actors are on this cast,
but okay.
Would we count food as a hobby?
Is that a, would you say food hobby?
Yeah. I didn't mean to react like that.
Yeah.
He said some people call themselves foodies. I love to.
He has a lot of all caps. That's why I'm yelling.
I love to eat.
Yeah.
Among us doesn't like this.
I mean, look, he's really athletic.
Right? Like that, to me, that's like the first thing
that I noticed, it was in his bio.
So at least in the early days, I'm hoping that, you know, if,
assuming that this cast is still prioritizing strength, although we've seen that not necessarily
be the case.
But I'd love to ask Shannon, her thought on this, because I feel like that we opened up doing
this draft in Survivor 41 in the new era, and it was three tribes of six.
And there was a lot of thinking at that time of like, okay, well, the really strong guy
is the most valuable person in the cast because there's tribes of six.
for challenge strength.
Now, it didn't always work out that way.
Do you have any thoughts on now
if we are in two tribes of 10,
at least to start?
Well, firstly, I kept losing draft,
so I had to change my attack.
That did happen with Rachel.
You said, we're not going to do well in the new era.
You said that you said that...
Well, I thought that...
I thought physical strength would be a big thing
in small tribes.
And then in 44, they did start voting.
They were voting out all the women really early.
early. Rachel is the one who won through. I thought the shorter new era format would give
better challenge competitors the chance to win out if they needed to. And then Rachel did do that,
to be fair. So maybe it's more on physical archetypes that aren't necessarily like the big guy.
In two tribes of 10, I do feel like you would be even, even though TK went, you would be even more
likely to say, we don't necessarily need strength if we're not viving with you, if we have an alliance
without you. So I don't think it necessarily tends towards physical strength. And maybe some of the
people who aren't as physical can make it further when they've been a little doomed
on disaster tribes until now.
So hopefully that opens it up.
And yeah, I mean, two tribes will be amazing.
Hopefully they stick with it for a while.
And if he's anything like TK, it's like if he can make it through those early boots,
I think they can grow to love him.
I think like with TK.
The shoes that she felt likes not the boots.
Yeah.
I do appreciate a boot though.
Right.
Because like with TK, you like once you get to know him, you're like, oh my gosh, he's like this, just the sweetest, greatest guy.
I can't say enough good things about TK.
And so like because I see similarities with Ori, I could see him being someone that is very likable, but they got to get past those initial days.
Okay.
I think he, I mean, he's really tall, Chappelle.
You were talking about high.
Like, I think he's probably the truth.
He's going to stand out.
He describes his, he describes his energy.
a little bit more subdued than, you know,
what we were talking about earlier.
That's what my point was.
It wasn't so much that he was big.
It was going to be big and chaotic where he says consistent a few times.
And so I'm really hoping that he could be kind of like a calming force on the tribe,
kind of like that.
Like you mentioned Nate earlier,
but you know how Nate was at the center of that alliance with Savannah and Rizzo and all of them.
He was kind of just like riding the wave.
I kind of would like that for Ori, so we'll see.
Okay.
Let's go back to Taryn for the first of two in a row.
row. Yes. For my first pick, I'm going to, actually, I recently watched Australian Survivor,
and there was a guy on there that I came to really enjoy, and he was, he was a, he was a wrestler.
And so I'm going to pick Brady, the pro wrestler here.
AKA Brody.
Yes, sure.
wrestling name.
His pet peeves, overly judgmental, lying, bad hygiene, bad manners, they're bad pet peeves.
Bad pet peeves, already regretting it a little bit.
But I did like his vibe.
I thought that he, he says he's enthusiastic, intense, and fun, and I did get that vibe
from him, so that's good self-awareness.
He seemed like he was a fan of the show, from my memory at least.
and I feel like he's
like the big guy that seems like he
is very jovial that he will get along with people well
which I like
yeah
listen I need to talk about this real quick
because the fit is killing
first of all Pooia
if you showed that picture to a million people
they would never say this was Survivor
oh no they wouldn't
I like the pants I like the pants
I love, the pants I love.
They do not match the shirt and then I'm not living for the new balance sneakers to match the pants.
They are not the same energy.
They're very different.
To me, the pants and the shirt would work, but it's the, it's the head covering.
It's not bringing me nothing.
The pose, I'll give them that.
I'll even turn away from the new balances.
But this up here, not a fan, not a fan.
Yeah, I didn't really have that much trouble with the outfit.
my issue was, did he say that he shot a deer
at the age of seven and then covered
himself in the deer's blood? I didn't like
that. I didn't like that. What they like when you cover
yourself in blood and survivor? Remember, hi?
Yes.
Did someone else do that?
Earlier on. Yeah.
I didn't like that. So I wasn't going to...
Oh, that was Mike Scooping earlier on.
Yeah. Yeah. If I remember correctly.
Yeah. I was redacting in real time.
But I didn't love it. So that was
that was going to fall as a pick for me.
He also, or Jonathan posted a picture with him.
Yeah, that doesn't shock me.
Yeah.
Jonathan wants to be a wrestler.
Full clowning kitchen.
Jonathan wants to be a wrestler.
So, you know, this is kind of, I guess he's networking.
Or maybe he put in the good word for Brady.
I mean, I did pick Jonathan for 50.
So.
And hey, not a bad pick either.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, Brady relates to Jonathan also, right?
So I think that there's a lot of consistent or parallels there.
I think that he also, he's familiar with being outside, which I think is just super helpful.
And I think one of the, he loves outside.
And I think that one of the things he mentioned is he's comfortable with being uncomfortable.
And I think that that is also something to be noted because you can have the best skill set.
But if you get crank, I get so hangary.
I would be so cranky and so miserable out there.
So he's used to, hey.
So if he's, if he's used to that, I think that that's definitely a bonus for him.
Am I misremembering?
Does he have three degrees also?
Yeah, he does.
And pre-law, he does have that.
Yeah.
So he seems like that people are going to underestimate his intelligence, you would think.
He seems like he is a smart guy.
I don't know if he knows the show particularly well.
He seems like that he is more of a recent convert.
He just his family grew up watching it.
But doesn't say that he really is watching it.
He don't know a show.
I don't remember what he said in the show.
the trailer we saw or in the preview we've seen, but he seemed like a jolly giant in that one
confession we had of him, if I remember correctly.
So, I mean, listen, we are at that point in the draft.
I do not think Brady's going first.
Let's be honest.
I don't think this man's leaving the game early.
And I think, while having watched Australian Survivor recently, Taryn, this pick 1,000%
makes sense, just off of that.
Yeah, I think that there's a decent track record.
for wrestling types.
Look at the mayor of Slamtown,
who probably was going to go much further
if he didn't have like wild circumstances
that led to him getting taken out of the game.
So I, the wrestlers do well on our shows.
They do well on our shows.
Austin, you know, he did fine on Big Brother.
Has a wrestler ever won one of our shows, do you?
Well, victims, aren't they all?
Not that I can think so.
I can't think of one.
I'm not being shady.
I'm just literally asking.
No, I also can't think of one.
Not yet.
Not yet.
Okay.
I think the thing that stood out to me is he said he was intense.
What?
He said single diggies.
That's the guy.
He said single diggies.
He did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What are we doing?
What's going on?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He said he was intense.
And I think that that's something to watch.
Just pointed out.
I think someone who baves an animal blood is intense.
I just think.
Also, I just think
He was a child when that happened, Shannon.
Oh, yeah.
Taryn hasn't mentioned this yet.
He doesn't seem shamed of it. Like, he has bad hygiene as a pet peeve.
This is the wrong show to be on if you don't like that.
If you don't like the hygiene,
look, everyone just smells like smoke and campfire.
Oh, that's not bad.
Yeah.
Animal blood.
That's not what Sandra said.
She said Russell need to get an ocean and wipe his ass.
I think that everybody has a very, like a bad.
bad baseline of smell, but then there are a few outliers that are like particularly like,
ooh, what happened here?
Where have you been?
What happened?
That's so sad.
Yeah.
What is that?
Corrupted heavens.
All right, Taryn, you have two picks in a row.
Now we need to know who he's talking about.
Name names.
We can guess.
We know.
We'll find out after the show.
Are we able to, like, reset after Taryn's two picks or before?
To say who's left?
Yeah.
Okay.
This is Terrence one pick.
Sure.
Here.
I think Sam has a chart that's microscopic.
But let me see if I can bring it up full screen.
I need some of those transitional lenses.
So these are the people that are picked, Asia.
I don't know if this will help you in terms of who has not been picked.
But not them.
Yes.
That is not as helpful.
I can name them for you.
Okay.
Alea Carter, Christian.
Maggie, Pat, Rob, and Tinnon have not.
and picked.
Yep.
Yeah.
What you're going to do, Ross, man?
This is the hardest one for me so far.
I've been back and forth on a couple of different people.
And I think ultimately, because usually I like to sort of spread out a little bit, but then I also like themes.
And so I feel like I'm going to go with a bit of a, I'm going to take a note from Shannon.
I'm going to go with a bit of a bro theme this season.
Kind of a divergence from my normal tactic.
But listen, I'm feeling bro-y right now.
I'm going to go with Carter.
Okay.
Carter rules.
I was going to go to God.
Okay.
Carter, could he be the open era J.T?
I hope so.
Which of the many versions of J.T.
So that's very different, too.
are terrible because it's one and it's if you chew with your mouth open,
just might as well pack your bags and head home.
Life's too short for that.
What are we doing here?
But I did like the vibe, you know?
It was like, you know, Southern good old boy kind of, he's a farmer.
And I feel like he's not going to be the grenade.
I feel like he's going to be like underestimated.
perhaps.
And I think that he can,
he can really surprise people in terms of like,
I think that he's in,
he's well positioned to like come in
as somebody that feels a little bit different
from the other people because of his background.
And,
and I think that'll play well, actually.
Yeah.
He says he wants to play like you, Rob.
Yeah, I'm sure that it's, who he was talking about.
Yeah, it's a job.
He meant.
It's open to the imagination.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He said Rob.
He might have been talking about the general people.
Yeah.
He may have been all the robs.
Yeah.
Also, as far as I know this isn't, it's a look, but like as far as hand poses go,
I will take this over this any day of the week.
He got ate up.
He didn't even know he got eight up like that.
They really set him up for failure.
Yeah.
In the middle of it.
Right.
It is mid.
Yeah, it is mid-hand formation.
Kind of awkward.
Leanna, it's like on top model.
Oh, I guess I should ask, as Chan.
It's like on top model where they take all.
the photos and then they like pick the worst
one and they're like this is your best photo
now you're going home it's like wait what
there has to be something better than that in the crowd
yeah
yeah
oh that's a two plaid for him to be the next
Jeff
he said Rob
yeah
Lone in the chat said that he
reminds him of Kyle
from 47
which I could see him having a very
being in that
that similar archetype
just like out here,
good experience, small town guy
on the big island
in Fiji.
He opened a snow cone truck.
He also has a moving truck with his friend, right?
He had one truck and it's been
multiple things. It seems pretty clear
that the truck is he purposes it.
He's adaptable.
So he says
they made this moving company
from scratch. They spent most of their time in the
name department and they landed on
move, move, move.
How much time did you spend in the name department?
Listen.
It's pretty descriptive, no?
Mm-hmm.
What do they do?
A double meaning.
Hustle and moving at the same time.
Yes.
Okay, anything else on Carter?
A really weird whistling noise with the back of his throat.
Oh.
Mike and Andy.
Andy's got a woodworking.
I think it's a good pick.
I don't think he's going to be the grenade.
I think of, I mean,
there may be, because there are three farmers,
maybe they don't want to keep one farmer around,
but...
Nah, farming alliance.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Way too many farmers.
So, Asia, you bring up a good point about the grenade.
If you're just joining us here for the first time
to see the Survivor draft,
we did not set up a very important rule of this draft
of that you may have the winning player on your team,
but the other stipulation is that you didn't have the first boot on your team.
And so round three, you may think, okay, well, all the good picks are gone.
But there's a lot of intrigues still to unfold here as it is very important to not have the first boot on your team.
Because if you do, the only way you can win is to have not one but two of your other team members in the final three.
An impossible feat.
Question.
Open era.
Things could change.
We already know that we might not be getting three.
tribes, right?
Mm-hmm.
What if it's the final two?
What happens then to our grenade?
You have to get full of grief with you, Shannon.
Oh, so you, but then you, okay, yeah, shoot the moon.
Yeah.
It may seem impossible, but Chappelle has done it so that has shown it is possible.
It is possible.
Chappelle did it in our second season with that rule, by the way.
Wild.
Mm-hmm.
Another thing is roundheads just the thing people call people that I've never heard also, like the
Transition lenses?
I assume it's like a local thing.
Okay.
I assume.
Okay.
I've run out of questions.
All right.
I've got to get you some.
Chappelle.
Can you avoid a grenade in round number three?
Typically no.
It's not really my strong suit.
If anybody's going to carry the grenade torch is definitely me.
And so I want to be careful because I don't want to curse this person either, right?
Whoever I choose,
might be the grenade just because that's how things go for me.
And so I don't want to like wield this into existence for them either.
But I got to pick somebody, right?
And hang, a part of me wants to pick a fun pick.
You know, like at this point, so far, yeah, we're so far into the picks right now.
I was like, uh, okay.
I'm going to pick somebody who calls himself fun, chaotic, and loud.
We're going to go with Christian and his bow tie.
Okay.
Yeah. The biggest selling point for me was that he's from Utah and they be playing Survivor.
They get down.
Like the Canadians.
Yeah, they like the, they're the first Canadians, the Utahans.
But yeah, it seems like he's going to play a fun game.
And I really like what he said about if I lose, I'm going to do whatever it takes to make everybody else lose.
And so I thought that was very funny.
because at least it sounds like aggressive gameplay.
And I really like to see somebody go really hard in the game.
I liked Christian.
Christian was one of the people I was looking at as well.
I also got a good vibe.
I feel like he just seems very friendly.
And I feel like you just kind of want to work with him.
And I think that's very good.
Also, he has great pet peeves being mean to animals, logical inconsistencies.
People getting upset.
or mad at someone crying or showing emotion,
which has been a pet peeve of mine during this Big Brother season.
But I just thought it was a bit concerning that Asia didn't take him
because wasn't he was a 47 alternate and she really wanted Sage.
So I was like, here you go.
Wow, Asia.
Because I was like, I'll leave him for.
Wow.
That's a good memory.
Remember when I told you Asia didn't respect me?
This is what I'm talking about.
She didn't even give me the heads up.
You know this, man?
Why are we bringing up the pads?
You know this man?
So spend a little bit of time with Christian and Fiji in 2024.
I thought that was public knowledge.
Hell.
He probably can do the research.
Exactly.
And the main thing I knew about Christian at the time, affectionately known as C.C., he had
on a mask with like a mustache on the mask.
And I thought that was very interesting and intriguing.
I just wanted to get to know so much more about him.
until, you know, he wasn't past.
You know, I get a little bit nervous about Christian.
Because of the mustache?
Because of the mustache?
No, not because of the mustache.
Oh, okay.
That's, I mean, it's concerning.
He just gives me very, I mean, we've talked about it with other people that we've picked so far.
He gives me very excited, wants to be here so bad that I just, I really hope he's not like
an accidental grenade.
I think he could do fine if he makes it through the early stages of the game.
But what concerns me are these initial days, how's that going to work?
I mean, you know, it's hard to say.
I couldn't bet on that, but I am excited to root for him.
Yeah.
And Taryn's right.
He is very friendly, very, like, huge, a lot of energy, really sweet guy.
I just don't know how those early days are going to go.
Are you worried that he is going to put too much pressure on himself?
Are you worried that the other players are going to not see him as an asset?
Both.
I think both could happen.
I do think that he could either be targeted very early because look at him.
He looks smart, you know?
And we learned in his bio, he graduated high school at 15.
And so if he tries to like lie about that trajectory in his life,
You know, he could be having to like leave out a lot of his life.
So therefore people could feel like they're not really bonding with him in the early days.
But then I also just wonder, yeah, how the tribe's going to see him as an asset.
They very, I mean, he could do, maybe he does really well in the puzzles.
Maybe he is really athletic.
And, you know, that's just something that comes across immediately.
So I think it's just a huge question mark for me.
Well, he identified the most with Todd.
I know, sorry, Pui.
He did list four people.
So you can talk about that.
in a second, but he identifies the most with Ty, which I thought was kind of interesting.
So I don't know if there's like an element of him that may come across as disarming.
And because, you know, it's like, oh, Ty, Ty's so cute.
So I'm wondering if that is the initial impression that he gives off.
But I trust Asia's judgment.
So sorry, Chappelle, you doomed him.
Yeah, Ty did really good at survivor twice, but Asia has met this man.
And so, yeah, I feel a little betrayed, but it's okay.
We didn't have personal conversations.
We were all on our best behavior, not talking.
Sure, Asia.
Everyone's presenting their best version of themselves in that point.
Like all the other seasons of Survivor.
I feel like if you're trying to potentially hide intellect or physical attributes,
physical attributes you can potentially hide in some ways.
You're not hiding the intellect with the bowtie on.
Like everything else is going to.
They made him wear it.
You think this was not a fashion choice that Christian made for Christian?
Yeah.
Was he wearing the bow tie?
He owned the bow tie.
Good question.
What was the question?
Was he wearing the bowtie in Ponderosa?
No.
See?
Just the mask.
I didn't even know what he looked like.
Well, yeah.
And the, the bow tie has musical notes on it.
So now they're going to know your musical also.
That's not.
No.
Maybe he's played a Disney.
Is that a problem?
That's designing.
I feel like maybe that's the new, the new threatening thing.
Oh, you're, you play music.
The new threatening thing is like, do you play music?
You're really good at music.
all and music. Get out of here.
His name is Christian and he's here to say.
You're going to win every
rap battle with Jeff.
Oh, chicken up pride.
I hope the open era
is closed on the rapping.
Please. Hey, Jelly said
that she'd be rapping to herself, so I want to
see her battle. I like that to the carpet.
And look, he's the head of HR.
I mean,
at 25, that's wild.
Like, I am HR
adjacent and all heads of HRs are
in their 40s and up.
They're all super messy.
They're all super messy.
And that's why I'm going to love watching them play.
Because there's nobody going to tell your business.
It's the people in HR.
He's also 25 and married with a son.
So it's like, overachiever.
Yeah.
Like that's not a combination.
You see this.
That's why for me it's such a question mark.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Asia literally said his weakness is how amazing he is.
And that's why I didn't pick him.
He's so good.
That's so Asia.
She was so harsh on him, but it was like the kindest thing you've ever heard.
Like, you got to have to be bad about about that.
But she didn't draft him.
And technically he is 47 strong.
And she knows him.
Right.
She was fighting to have Genevieve.
And Genevieve just, you know, that was the ops.
And you were trying to get on your team.
And you disbanded did no do nothing to you.
I'm so.
What is happening?
She's not the ops.
Just so we're clear, not the ops, okay?
Yeah.
Okay.
Shannon, there are five players left on the board.
Can you avoid the grenade?
Well, that was like taunting me.
I still have someone that was in my top group.
So I feel good about that.
So I'm going to take this person, Ternon.
Okay.
That's how I want it.
she is really good
like I think the thing is
why she's fallen so far to me
is because she won't come across as threatening
but she like kind of is
you know she's very athletic
she's a med student she seems intelligent
like I think she seemed really personable
she had she took so many boxes
she's like you know really cares about grammar
I care about that
I just think that she seems great
but will be overlooked, as we have done, proving the point,
and could probably make it pretty far.
So she's my pick.
Yeah.
I think that's a really good pick.
I was looking very closely at Tanan.
Might have been my pick coming up next.
The one thing that was giving me pause was I think that there is some grenade potential.
I think that there is winner potential,
but I think that there is also some grenade potential as being maybe the smallest person on the cast.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, and that is the issue.
Less of an issue with 10 people in a tribe, but still not nothing.
I've definitely been grenaded in the past for having someone who, like, is really great and fun,
maybe throws up in someone's face, which is unfortunate.
And like, on the small tribes, just has nowhere to hide.
I think on a 10-person tribe.
And the thing is, she's good, she'll be good at the challenges.
Like, she's very athletic.
She was a Boy Scout.
Boy Scout?
Does she a runner?
Yeah, she is.
I think she's, like, a long-distance runner.
Marathoner, I think.
Yeah, she's got the skills.
So I don't, I think that it would be like a completely judging a book by its cover pick,
which can happen obviously in these early boots.
But I think she'll be helpful to the tribe.
I think that she'll find friends.
There is some potential, but it is shallow potential that could be, that could be true.
But I'm hoping that all her many actual attributes will be able to, you know, get her through that.
Yeah, with her, I wasn't even avoiding the grenade.
I was in between her and Anna for my second pick.
Like I was going back and forth, back and forth.
So I think it's an amazing pick.
She seems like she's going to be a very well-rounded player.
I don't think her size will come into play because we'll probably have what,
Ori and Brady on two different tribes.
And it's 10 people.
So I don't know.
I think it'll be harder to stand out in like that aspect.
If you're pulling your weight and different,
Like she's clearly athletic and she seems like she's smart.
She's a Texan.
So got to support.
Got to.
Well, and a lot of the times it's body weight also that really matter.
Like your strength to body weight ratio.
And I feel like she's somebody, you know, she could help like lift her up or because she's so small.
You can like lift her up.
She can grab the key.
She could potentially help with puzzles.
She can help, you know, pull her way through things.
So I don't think that it's necessarily as big of a concern.
She's, you know, younger than kind of the.
age that I would necessarily be looking at, um, at 25, but still, I think that, you know,
there's a, there's a lot of upside to her. And this cost, again, is like kind of old in that age group.
So I feel like she's, she's not standing out in that way.
She's a young doctor. She's going to be a secret doctor like everybody else.
Uh, she, her pet is anything that seems unfair. And I like the seems inclusion there,
because I, I agree. If it seems unfair, it's annoying, even if it is fair.
And also people who don't separate your versus your, which I enjoyed saying out loud.
Yeah.
Taryn, if you have a medical emergency, you can go to her.
She pointed out your and your, but not there and there.
Hmm.
Maybe that one was fun.
Yeah, how do you separate?
And then there's there too.
There, there, there, there.
They're there.
Yeah.
They're there.
Move, move, move.
Move.
I also really liked her
What Are You Most Proud of?
She mentions that during COVID
She made a new friend who after a year wrote
You taught me what being happy truly means
And that was very nice
I quite like that
Yeah
That's incredible friend
That poem they were passing out
Is it 154 poems though?
All right
I just want to know what happy means
You'll find out
When you wins the season
Yeah.
All right.
There is Shannon's pick with Tannan.
It's back to me.
And I, I'm sorry?
I think that was pretty good third round.
Yeah.
So far so good.
I think she was the biggest steal.
Oh, yeah.
I think she will probably be the steal of the round.
We'll see.
Rob, you have to do the thing now, right?
Rob, you think?
You got to do the thing.
No, you do the thing.
No, no, I can't do the thing.
It only works if you do the thing, Rob.
No, only Rob can do the thing.
Okay.
Yeah.
Wait.
What's your, I think he's confused.
What's my what?
I think there's a name.
So who you want you to go in a name direction, I think, that only you.
I think so.
Yeah, but I'm not going to.
I'm not going to.
Wow.
I mean, there's two women that I'm in between, but I'm going to go with the person that I like her.
Who are you going to play
Like much more?
And I'm going to go with Pat.
First of all,
A look.
She ate that picture up.
She ate that picture.
No notes.
Nice job here by Pat.
Who is?
She is a federal prosecutor.
She's a jag.
Yeah.
She,
yeah.
This lady,
This is a powerful lady.
You can tell.
You can tell.
She got a lot going on.
Yes.
Yeah, she's walking to court real means business.
Like a young Porsche.
What's that lady name?
Ellen's, uh, uh, Porsche, Dorasi.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Give me that Porsche Dorasi energy, Pat.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
She is a tough customer, obviously.
She's a prosecutor.
She likes to go do boxing.
So I think she is going to come into the game and play.
really hard. I think she does not have a ton of knowledge about the show. I think that
Mike had brought this up that she's only seen a season or two before she applied. She does
want to play like Amanda Kimmel and Rachel Lamont, Asia. Love that shout out. Mm-hmm.
Okay, now you're loyal to 47. Yeah, the people that made it onto 47.
Okay. All right. Everybody lowered the voice.
Yeah. So,
There's Pat, I don't, this isn't the grenade.
And she has winner upside.
Yeah, for sure.
I don't disagree with either of those statements.
She says herself she has winner up side.
Well, there you go.
We're not allowed to use that term anymore, but there you go.
I mean, I guess the lack of fandom is maybe the like one comes on anything.
We've seen recruits win the game, though.
Yeah.
We don't even know what this game is.
This is the open era.
Yeah.
I don't know what's going to happen.
And she did not have been a recruit.
She could have watched once and applied.
That's kind of what happened to MC.
Yeah.
Her first episode of Survivor was episode three, season 47.
And then she said, I want to play.
I'm not joking.
That's for real her first episode.
And then she watched.
I will avenge Asia.
Yeah.
So I'm not as concerned with her fandom.
I just, I'm looking at the other people.
Like, do you all see the blend?
Who is she going to buy?
with, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, she mentions Goofy.
I don't, didn't necessarily get that.
He's not giving it.
Listen.
Yeah.
I feel like we had this this summer when someone on Big Brother called themselves
bubbly and we didn't see it in fog.
So maybe we'll see it this time.
Maybe it's different.
You think she's a Haley, booyal?
No.
I do not.
I disagree completely.
Rob, I'll be honest.
You've sniped two of my picks this draft.
I should have been in the fourth pick.
Yeah.
If her and Kristen,
link up. They're going to feed families.
Okay, that's going to be in a line instead of just like,
you know, that joint
sleigh, you can't even handle it, okay?
So, yeah, they got to watch out for Pat.
I think she's got, like, all of these,
like, interesting things in her background.
She was homeschooled. She was part of a military family
and, like, in the military herself.
She, I think, like, was in the Navy
or a Navy lawyer? Anyway,
something to do with the Navy. I think that it's like,
is that in this cast? You know what I mean?
But I think this cast does have
a lot of people with, like, a blue collar work
ethic. And not to say that what she does
is a blue-collar job, but I do
think that a work ethic is
very strong, I think, with
Pat. I think that one of the things that they've done
this season, especially with three
farmers in the cast, I think that they
really want to get back to
Survivor being about like providers
and people, like, I don't
think they liked it when they loved Rizzo,
but I don't think they liked it when Rizzo was like saying to
Colby, hey, we don't even, why are you even
building a shelter? We just sleep on the dirt
because it's like in the Survivor
Finale, Jeff couldn't wait
to Zing Rizzo of like, oh, you thought you
were so great, but did you learn how to make
a fire? And it's like, oh, that hasn't happened
yet. But Jeff just wanted
to say the burn so bad.
She said her dad,
in his own words,
succeeded in his 26-year
Air Force career as an officer
primarily based on his good looks.
Which I didn't realize
was something you could succeed on
as an Air Force officer, but
I'm impressed.
He must be.
really good looking.
Well, she cites good looks
is why she's gonna win survivor.
She says, my sparkling personality,
my undeniable wit,
and of course my good looks.
That's a selling point.
Yeah.
How about these pet peeves?
She doesn't look at her
sunglasses though.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was very specific.
God forbid the transition lenses.
Yeah.
Taryn, I really don't like the blue
sunglasses in the Big Brother house.
As in the lenses or the frames?
No, like the frames.
They look like they're for children
There's a lot of weird ones in the big brother house
I think that's what she means by the white ones
Like the white ones are usually just like
The Gimmie
Yeah
What am I at? Sweet 16
Okay
There's Pat
All right
Count a day win survival
We're about to find out
Okay
There are three picks left
Asia Leanna and Puyah
There are three players
left.
There are.
I don't get to pick.
I just get it bestowed upon.
You just get a person.
Yeah.
I'm going to go.
So my first
pick, okay, well,
first of all, I really want it to non.
So we'll move past that.
I'm happy
for you, Shannon.
My first pick was 34.
My second pick was 34.
My third
pick is 24.
I'm going to go with Alia.
Okay.
Aaliyah is a chef from Rhode Island.
Ah, that's what I should have said.
I should have said I'm picking someone from Rhode Island.
Keep you on your toes.
But yeah, she's a chef from Rhode Island.
She definitely was, she's like, she wasn't in my top half of people I was considering.
I thought she seemed fine.
Yeah.
Like I will enjoy rooting for her and just, I think her pants are really cute.
Now that this is the draft slash, um, it's a look.
It's a look.
Part two.
But yeah, her interview or her, not interview, her bio was the shortest.
Like, they didn't even ask her all the questions.
There's no pet peeve here.
There's nothing to say.
There's no pet peeve.
There's like nothing there.
Tarr said she doesn't exist to me.
I'm sorry.
Yeah. Short order cook.
That's concerning.
I don't know.
She just.
Opt it out?
Maybe she's the alternate.
It's giving alternate to me.
Hmm.
Which is okay.
Alternate to be violent.
Yeah, we've seen two alternates from 47 go on to play.
So.
And a lot of alternates from the new era.
Yeah, there's a new one just isn't interrupted.
But okay.
Yeah.
What's y'all's hesitation on Alia?
I just felt like I didn't get enough from, yeah, from her.
Yeah, I couldn't decide one way or the other.
Yeah.
Yeah, she should find people at last.
Like, I think that's.
She feels like a.
wild card pick amongst this group because
we do not know a lot about her and we
already don't know a lot about any of them really.
So it is kind of like taking a flyer this late
in the draft but I'm not mad at this pick from you, Asia.
I genuinely think you probably did the best pick of what
was left. Thanks.
You know why they didn't do any press?
No.
They hate off.
Okay.
Yeah.
I bet on it.
Well, no, I mean, again, in her very short bio,
you're really kind of just like, pick.
I feel like I'm a bit picking through the scraps.
But in terms of the players that,
that, you know, she associates with,
we see Surrey in there. We love that.
Bam, bam. So who knows,
running her mouth perhaps a little bit.
But, you know, I mean, I think that those are two really great people
if she's able to play like them.
I mean, that's absolutely wonderful.
There's just not a ton to go off of.
But I think at this stage in the game,
I think it's a wonderful pick.
A fun fact is that she's the first known contestant
to be raised by same-sex parents.
So we love that.
Hell yeah.
Mm-hmm.
We don't have a lot of Leah.
We're not to learn about it.
We're not.
We'll learn more.
Okay.
But she's on Asia's team.
Okay.
All right.
So it comes down to
Leanna and Puyah.
Once again,
it's a special episode
of the pal tonight
as Leanna decides
who will get Maggie
and who will get Rob.
Leanna, there are no correct answers here.
Whatever you pick, I fully support.
Are you sure about that?
I promise.
Are you sure about that?
I promise you.
Absolutely.
Okay, great.
Then I'm picking Maggie.
I tried.
It's fine.
Yeah, as much as I wanted to do the thing.
Yeah.
I guess I was trying to get Rob to pick Rob.
It was a little bit of a giveaway.
You know what's funny, Taryn?
That's the point.
in the draft, I realized, oh, I don't get to pick. It's just going to be someone giving it to me.
So I was like, Rob, please. Your name, Rob. Anyway, let's hold on Maggie first.
The theme of the season, got to pick a farmer. Love that she's rep in overalls. Very, very fun going
full farmer here. She is, I think, 40. So I like that for her, you know, again, maybe sway's
older in terms of the cast, given their sort of like conglomeration around the like late 20s, early 30s.
but I'm really hoping that her
sort of outdoor experience
is going to allow her to be super comfortable
out there and she just seems very warm
and bubbly, very joyful, I think, is one of the words
she used to describe herself.
She herself said she's a lot.
Now again, I respect it.
But that means her...
She also wrote an all caps in her bio.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's more how she...
Also, it doesn't seem to have a pet pee.
She's so positive.
Big Survivor fan watching for a long time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Her three words to describe yourself are joyful, intentional, and redneck.
Is it a coincidence that these pet peeveless people go to the end of the draft?
I don't know.
I don't know.
We're still in your style, Taryn.
We got to get a, we got to get.
like you, we got to win.
She is one of the farmers.
She is one of the farmers.
You're finally listening.
They could definitely be like a farmer
alliance that takes it.
Yes.
Me and Maggie got the same inspiration,
Jesus, because ha ha, you know I go up for my boy.
So yeah, I appreciate that.
Appreciate that, Maggie.
She has a lot of hobbies.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Farming, gardening, fishing, hunting, exploring,
running, lifting, pole vaulting, reading, teaching, singing, cooking, playing guitar.
She really snuck pole vaulting in there, huh?
Yeah.
Asia, she reminds me of like a Texan.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Do you know what I mean about that?
Yeah.
Like, you're on your way from Houston to Austin.
She lives in one of those in between cities.
Uh-huh.
She's got three kids.
She's running the PTA, like the Navy, you know.
Everybody knows her when she walks in the Walmart, you know.
Hey, Miss Maggie.
Hey, Maggie.
Yeah, exactly.
Everyone knew she was gone for Survivor because the town so small.
Yeah.
She didn't tell anybody, but they all knew.
Yeah, I know this lady.
Okay.
There's Maggie.
All right.
Pooia has the 21st pick in the draft.
Yep.
In the great year of 2026, I am once again rooting for a Rob on reality TV.
Rob A is here.
All right.
So let me, let me open up by saying Rob A said, Boston Rob is who he identifies with the most.
And he said he carries himself with a swagger of not caring what others think about him, which is exactly how I am.
Good, Rob, because you have put my entire draft on Jeopardy because you decided to get off the couch.
I am so nervous about this man.
He wants to prove to his children that he can do this and he is not an outdoors type.
Do you know how nerve-wrecking this is going to be for me, Premier Night?
I'm going to be, just late enough on the podcast, shitting myself watching this.
There's a chance I've been grenaded.
I don't know.
And I'm petrified because I've been grenaded once season 41.
We're in a new era.
I find myself in the draft.
I'm a little bit nervous.
Now, we can talk about the other stuff, right?
One of us loves these shows, loves housewives, loves creators, Love Island, the Challenge.
He watches it all so I can respect.
that one of us in that regard.
I don't know.
In hobbies, he said videoing podcast is one of his hobbies.
Does that mean he does podcast or he tapes them?
Why is he taping them?
He does do podcasts and he does a lot of social media content also.
So maybe that's what he means.
Videoing podcasts.
Yeah.
Also, what accomplishment, right?
What is the accomplishment you're most proud of helping to create my three children?
The phrasing is interesting.
I spotted that one too, for you.
He really enjoyed the helping of the creation.
Yeah.
I think he went on to take all the credit.
You got to enjoy the process.
Yeah.
Trust the process.
Enjoy the process.
When, you know, I think my wife gets annoyed if somebody says that a man says, like, I had a baby or we had a baby.
We are pregnant.
Yeah.
So he's at least being pretty honest about it.
Yeah, I think he's trying to be diplomatic.
I respect that.
In his helping of the creation, yeah.
He doesn't like.
the pouring of soda.
Why? It's a great sound.
That bothers me. That's universally
beloved sound. I love that sound.
He has no idea why.
You know what? I respect it.
No, Taryn. I can't.
It's specific. It's weird.
And he doesn't know why. That's a good pet beef.
I do, we'll say, saying that he is an airport
of someone that works at the airport,
and that's going to help him.
in Survivor.
I think two things, right?
I feel like you get one or the other extreme in an airport.
You either get the person that's not talking to anyone.
We're just there to get on the flat and leave.
Or you're getting like the wildest person who to have ever existed at the airport who's chewing your ear off.
There's no middle.
And I'm concerned because I'm like, Survivor's mostly middle folks.
You're not going to get someone who's keeping to themselves like that.
You might get a couple people who are going to be a little bit more like you would never want to be in the queue in front of behind them at the airport for sure.
But again, I think I'm being harsher on Rob than I need to be, but also I didn't get to pick him and this draft leans on grenades.
So Rob, when you do not leave.
I'm not enjoying this experience so far of hearing my name and people aren't talking to me.
It's very confusing.
Yes.
Well, you could have done the thing and then you picked them and then we wouldn't be talking about him.
And then it would have been talking about him.
Yeah.
This man said, I'm just putting myself out of my comfort zone to make my kids proud.
And who went off on him for five, four minutes?
I think he's fine.
We just want to make his kids proud.
And I hope he does.
Listen, I'm one of the children now because I'm hoping I can be I'm proud of dad by end of
of premiere night.
Because after that, it's all bonus.
So we'll see.
I hope he helped create a kinder to him and believe in him more than you do.
Oh, they will.
They already believe.
him plenty. Yeah, they don't need him to go
on the show. We love you no matter what, Dad, like that's what they're
saying. Oh, no, no kids not like that.
Oh, kids like that, Rob? I love you
no matter what. You don't need to do something cool.
It depends on the day, I think.
Yeah.
He seems like a good
time, you know.
He's going to be good TV.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's going to enjoy
himself. Yeah. Yeah.
Had a great time.
I like that.
That's fun. Yeah.
Mike
of him in the final preview we did
that he sees the vision of,
what do you think of Boston Tony?
It's too much.
No.
You know what my pet peeve is?
Whenever anyone says they're going to play like Tony.
You're not.
No one.
I mean, everyone on Australian Survivor,
like once per season,
someone actually kind of is.
Yeah.
But mostly...
I must say,
because we saw Tony's
on Australian Survivor on life.
I don't want to put words on this back.
He won the traders.
Oh, he did say he would play like Tony play.
He did, yeah.
He said a mix of Tony and Joe.
Tony and Joe is crazy.
Joe Mato.
Joe, no.
What is Joe?
I'm a mix of Tony and Joe is just Tony.
Yeah.
All right.
We did it.
The piece of Tony and Joe is trying to rationalize
what Tony is doing in a way that would
make the world explode, I think.
Okay.
All right.
Let's take a look at our fully completed Survivor 51 draft.
The winner has been selected.
The grenade has been selected.
Taryn has his bros.
It's Devin, Brady, and Carter.

It's just Rob.
You don't have to...
The difference.
You can be a lot of E again.
he's now wrong
okay
all right
what else
anything else to go over tonight
this was fun
yeah
it's been way too long
the chats
like they had fun
Mike Bloom thinks we did a good job
he loved it
you guys are really gonna have to take this one
because I literally ran
I bought a whole set and I've now run out
of trophies so I'll have to
buy more if I win this one
That'll be a problem for me.
Okay.
We're setting off some pet peeves of some of these plays.
All right.
Well, so much fun.
We are, but eight days away from the Survivor 51 premiere.
A lot of fun stuff lined up there, including we are going to have a kickoff to Survivor every week.
Mike Bloom and Frail Mary are bringing the RhabCon hit Interactive Game Night.
to your warm-up for Survivor over on Patreon for the patrons of Robbins' Podcasts.
We'll have a special pre-survivor game night for people to play along every single week over on Patreon.
So excited for that also to kick off this season.
Puyah, this week we'll have the Traders New Blood.
Yep, Rob and I reuniting to talk all things Traders, New Blood, the civilian season,
for those of you that didn't know about the naming there.
And Rob, it doesn't end there for me
because I'm also going to have Traders Canada premiering.
That's going to happen.
And October 1st, Celebrity Traders UK Season 2 premiering.
We are truly blessed as Traders fans right now.
And it begins with you and I, Rob.
Okay.
Can't wait.
All right.
Yeah, big week of reality TV kicking off with Traders, New Blood.
It's Traders Season 5.
Okay.
Is it?
That's what they're, I believe that's what it is officially.
Yeah.
Canonically, it's season 5.
And then we'll see where it goes from there.
If it gets picked up, if we're just going to kind of all as part of the reason.
Five of American traders.
Okay.
All right.
Great job tonight.
Pooia.
Leanna.
What else?
Where else can we find you?
Yeah.
Well, for Survivor content, Mike Bloom and I are going to be back doing the B&B.
So we're going to be releasing a preview podcast.
And then, of course, weekly content covering all of the goofiness of this season seems like a goofy cast.
I think we're in for a really fun ride.
Plus the open era, who knows.
And then Puy and I do The Paui and Leanna Lounge.
It's a show we put out.
Just as chatting.
We also cover topics about reality TV and otherwise.
So definitely check that out as well.
Okay.
Great to have you back.
Once again, Leanna.
Asia, what's coming up for you?
Yeah.
So next week, I'll be an...
Austin for the Survivor 51 premiere. So you can go check out more details about that on
Trashy Annie from Season 49 on her Instagram Trashy Annie music. And then season 20 of Marrieda
First Site has concluded, but you can find that if you missed it over on the We No dating shows

which is a podcast I do with my girlfriend.
So that's Life B-I-S.
Okay, great job on the draft, Asia.
Shannon, so nice to hear from you again tonight.
Thank you.
Yeah, I mean, coming back after four months of podcasting is a lot.
I think that was my longest podcasting hiatus
by probably three months and three weeks.
But it was like riding a bike.
Is it?
Is it?
It's, yeah, we're basically.
back. I'm going to be doing hopefully some 51, 50 fun coverage, hopefully every couple of weeks
on Survivor Global. So I'm doing that and that's where you'll find me. Thank you all. It was fun to
catch up at the very least. Yeah. This was like Thanksgiving. This was great that everybody back.
Okay. Chappelle, what's coming up for you? Well, we're still in the midst of Big Brother season
and so there's more of the slop coming your way for the patrons.
So patreon.com slash RJP will get you that sloppy content.
Then you can also catch me talking about Big Brother Unlocked this Friday with my special guest, Miss Felicia.
So that'll be a good time.
Check that out.
And then David Bloomberg and I have been talking about why these players are losing every week on David's YX lost.
And so check that out as well here on RJP.
And then you can get my content, Recapkickback.com.
where I'm talking with Mario about the snowfall spinoff.
We also have with a different world coming soon.
G and I are still doing stuff.
We're talking about why did I get married.
Chantel and I are still talking about flavor of love,
cinematic universe.
We're up to Rock of Love, the finale.
And so, yeah, we got a lot going on over there on Recap Kickback.
Make sure you subscribe to the podcast,
recapkickback.com slash subscribe.
Okay, and great draft by you, Chappelle and Taryn.
Yeah.
You never compliment my draft.
You always say I have the worst team.
Well, he just did.
I'm major.
Okay.
Watch you.
Taryn, we will get back to our regular Big Brother coverage as we're heading towards double eviction, baby.
Yes, follow the rest of the Big Brother season.
Devons and D. are playing.
And, hey, who knows?
They might have a shot at winning this thing.
So check that out.
You can also find me on my own Patreon where I'm doing streams and watching all kinds of other shows.
And I will also be streaming live during Survivor episodes across the season.
That is essentially my version of a Survivor podcast.
It just happens live while the episode's happening.
It's a good time to check it out.
All right.
Taryn, congratulations on season 50s win again.
Thank you all so much for joining us here.
tonight for the draft
and looking forward to getting
into Survivor 51 with everybody
very soon.
