My name is Matt Scott.
Co-host of the Pride has spoken, host of Pod Friends.
But right now, it is my honor and privilege to introduce the man of the hour
making his way to the stage, hailing from Rally, North Carolina,
by way of Los Angeles, California, by way of Wantan, New York.
You might know him as Rob Scenario.
You might know him as Rob Scenario.
You might know him as the podfather.
You might know him as the bad boy of podcasting.
He is technically an Emmy Award winner for his appearance on Traders Season 4.
A two-time survivor player and the best to never win.
Would have loved to win there.
And he is the author of the New York Times bestselling book, The Tribe,
and I have spoken.
Please welcome the one, the only, the host and founder of this very podcast.
Rob Sester!
Wow, what an introduction!
Thank you, Matt.
We are here in Washington, D.C.
Thank you for joining us, and I'm so excited to talk about everything from tonight's episode of Survivor.
How are you all doing?
How's the open era
tweeting you?
No, treating you.
Well, we have such a fun show for you here tonight
because we have an incredible array of guests,
many of which are going to be competing
in the Rambled Battle Royale tomorrow.
So they are gearing up for competition.
They're fired up and ready to go.
and let's get right into it because we have some stellar stars of Survivor's new era.
Here with us, it's Tiffany Nicole Irvin, Sam Phelan, and Emily Flippin.
Emily, how's everybody doing? Grab a mic.
Yes, okay, let's get everybody's mics on here.
Flip it on.
Yes.
How are you doing, Tiffany?
I'm doing great. I'm here with you. Last night I got to go to Serian Park show in LA.
Oh, how was that? It was awesome. Oh my God, they are so funny.
Yes. It was like I felt like I was watching like an S&L skit all night. But I'm happy. Look at all these beautiful faces.
Emily, how are you doing? I'm doing well. I'm local, so I did not have to fly in for this. It's nice to come back and just watch other people embarrass themselves on TV.
Yeah. Is it nice to go back to not being somebody on the show?
Oh, in my opinion, yes.
It's a lot better to come back and judge other people's actions
versus what you would do in the situation.
I will say there was numerous times in that,
as I was watching tonight's episode where I was thinking,
well, I would have done X, Y, or Z.
And then you're like, well, you know, you're sitting on all the information.
Yeah, but that's so fun to talk about that.
What was something that you saw that you would have done X, Y, or Z?
Oh, Jenna.
Oh, oh my gosh.
Look, if I'm sitting on a tribe with people who had previously actively,
I mean, and might say actively, I don't just mean casually.
I mean, like, actively tried to vote me off.
I would maybe be a little less dismissive when somebody reaches out to me and says,
hey, so-and-so came, you know, Devin came and said all this really negative stuff about you,
maybe take the olive branch, right?
Just grasp it, just a little bit.
Yeah, it's a tough spot for Jenna because that if she did,
even if she did take that olive branch, I'm not sure if that necessarily gets her
out of that situation.
I did kind of think that her being a little weasily,
I thought was gonna kind of help.
I thought that it was gonna turn it around on Alexis,
but ultimately we see that it's Jenna.
What do you think, Tiffany?
Did Dev and Jelly make the right decision
to get rid of Jenna instead of Alexis?
I think right now it's inconsequential
because Devin, Jelly, and Ori,
they are gonna be good no matter what.
Unless there's like some type of
Idol or, and even if with the idol, Jelly has the idol,
I personally would have gotten rid of Alexis because they are bringing Ori closer to them,
but I do understand that it was probably like a show of good faith, like, hey, we're not
trying to just steamroll you.
If that's your ally, we're not going to get rid of her either.
Yeah, this kind of got framed as devil you know versus devil you don't, Sam, that Alexis was
saying Dev and Jelly's name.
She was saying that she was the threat, but ultimately she gets to stay.
Yeah, I think that there's a lot of, like, not wanting to look behind you at a threat that you can't.
I feel like Jenna is in the back of Devin's mind.
Jenna is something that he can't let go of.
And so as much as he might want to work with Jenna, vote out Alexis, I think it's better for Devin to be able to eliminate Jenna.
Worry about Alexis later.
You still have the numbers with Ori.
You still have the numbers with Jelly.
So I just feel like that was just going to be a bug that he wasn't able to shake until he eventually voted her out.
And he needed to get it done with and over with.
Yeah.
I want to ask a question that I really don't have a great answer to, why is Devin so obsessed with Jenna?
It seems like a very one-sided beef.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's kind of like the mouse being obsessed with the cat.
Like, you know, you already have the, like, you're already in the power position.
Yeah.
So I felt like keeping Jenna probably was the safest bet for Devon's game in that moment.
But I just, like Sam said, she's living in his head rent-free.
So he's not going to be able to move to the next thing until he gets rid of her.
He decided she is not a wedding photographer on day one.
And there was no coming back from that.
Do you think that he has like puts wedding photographer is the most revered position in his.
He says his parents work in the church.
Maybe he knows like a lot of weddings.
wedding photographer. It's like, you ma'am are no wedding photographer. He won't get over it.
I don't get it. I don't get it. But then again, this is Survivor and as somebody who's played Survivor.
There's probably so many things that we don't know. And it's a vibe too. Like they could just not be
vibing. And he doesn't get on with her personality for whatever reason and he can't get past that.
And in that sense, he is correct to take her out because you want to play with the game, play the game with a board of people.
that you feel like you can work with and have relationships with and if he feels like the relationship is too far gone you might as well sever it
Don't try to save the leg I feel like he has very because I had this mentality which is very black and white thinking
Which is like I am against Jenna Jenna is against me and he seems so proud of himself when he voted Jenna off and I kind of feel like he left no gray area because it was very clear that Jenna trusted him even after everything
She was willing to work with him and he has no evidence
I will suggest that Alexis would do that I'll say though she has no option like if you're just like
The idea that Jenna wants to work with Devin, it's like she knows, I think correctly, those
three are together.
They're openly flirting together.
I know Jelly and Devin are number ones and Ori is right there with them.
Be smart and try to go with those numbers.
So I think that she's sucking up to Devin more than actually wants to play with Devin.
And I'll give him a little bit of grace because I think this episode is the first time
where I actually saw Jenna actually try to establish something with them.
So in Devin and Jelly's mind, it's like, you're literally only doing this because you're in danger
of going home.
What happened to last night when you voted against us and left us on the bottom?
She did seemingly go right to death and tell him as soon as it happened.
Like, she didn't even seem to entertain the idea that there was this moment where Alexis says,
okay, give me your shoes.
That was crazy.
My shoes could be coming off.
You want them.
And she did not.
She would not give her shoes to Alexis.
Because are you out of your mind?
I'm not giving you my shoes.
I'm giving you my shoes.
I'm giving you whatever you want.
Are you kidding me?
You would give the shoes?
Somebody is coming out with an olive branch.
I am giving you whatever is a shoe.
That's not an olive branch.
That's a steamroller.
She's like, give me your shoes right now.
Girl, you don't get out my face.
I never saw that before.
That was a good move.
Was it?
That was terrible.
I don't know.
Emily, now are you the person that invented the I will give you my shot in the dark?
Yeah, I will say though, you know, shoes and shot in the dark
maybe they're different. I would have given Sabaya
the clothes off my back if Sabaya
had asked for it. I was that
pitying in that situation, but I will say
I do feel like that gives context to where
Jenna thought she was on the drive
because I remember in being such a position
where I would have done anything to win
just the smallest bit of favor to show that
I was genuinely trusting
you. And I think Alexis was maybe the wrong person
to, you know, quote, unquote, give your shoes
to in that situation. But Devinz,
man, I am sitting in front of you. I am giving
you my shoes. Like that's kind of
approach I would have taken where I know we started this game off on the wrong foot.
I know you don't think I'm a wedding photographer.
You'll really be on the wrong foot if you give your shoes away.
Take my clothes.
Yeah.
I'm just happy that Rhode Island Robb didn't give his shoes to anybody.
Imagine how beat up he would have gotten if that would have happened.
Can I ask you there was an awkward moment.
Speaking of awkward moments, there was an awkward moment where that they came back from the challenge
and they were going to eat, like, okay, Jeff said,
let's eat the chicken before we go to tribal council.
And Jenna was like, I don't know.
I don't know if we should do that or not.
But I felt like that that was like a little bit of a microcosm of like,
they're not on the same page.
Yeah, somebody who said maybe let's eat less rice, Tiffany can speak to this.
Maybe shut up.
Maybe just shut up.
That rice gate was funny.
I'm not going to hold you.
Emily and Seri going back and forth about that rice
but it's like the little things that matter
but I will say I would have been on team Jenna
because that was I was mortified
watching them eat that chicken the blood on the hands
the feathers like they dragged it
I don't know what that was
you know the tribe
that won the four chickens
the original Savu last week
they won four chickens they didn't eat
any Sam are they going to give them back
the chickens was that the idea
trade them for eggs maybe was that the
That's what we did. We traded them in for eggs. I kind of am with Tiffany that if one person
on your tribe is not comfortable and doesn't want to eat the chickens, you don't eat the chickens.
I wanted to eat the chickens, but I think that you have to conform. And I think, like you said
earlier about the shoes, it is a bit of a microcosm of where people feel like they're at
in the tribe that they can do what they please. They don't necessarily feel like they have to
think about Jenna's feelings or care about what Jenna wants to do because she's going home in a
couple of hours. I want to go back to
Ori, who I thought got the most
out of this tribal council where
he gets to keep his relationship
with Dev and Jelly,
but also gets to keep his person
in Alexis. Something that I liked,
okay, Sam, I want to ask you about this.
He framed the vote
with Anna versus Eric, okay, take
the layup. Today, he
framed voting Jenna out as
basically a half court shot
for Dev and Jelly that they were making.
He was encouraging them. I
like that he branded this as like this is a huge move.
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, you want to
make those, when you feel like you're in the power structure,
which Ori did on his original tribe,
you want everybody else to take the easy vote.
You want them to play within the structure that they know.
But I also think that knowing Devin,
knowing Jelly, and like getting a read on their personalities,
it makes sense for him to kind of play it up of like,
this is the big move.
You want to be big players.
You want to be big dogs.
You want to do this thing with our alliance.
You can knock down this shot right now.
And there is something about that that is appealing to certain people.
So I think Ori is doing a great job of when people need to flip on their tribe,
he incentivizes taking that big shot.
And when he wants people to stay right where they are,
he frames it as a layup and how easy that layup would be.
Was it a big shot?
No.
No.
He's a lot.
Jenna couldn't even play her shot on the dark.
So they're over here basically telling Jenna,
which I don't know why she was surprised.
She was voted off like, you know, you're gone, and there's nothing she can do about it.
Yeah, it's not a big shot at all, but Ori is framing it that way.
And I think he's doing that to make sure that his plan that he wants to happen gets over the finish line with the people that he knows ultimately control the vote in Jelly and Devon.
Yeah, I like that. He like set it up like, oh, this is going to look so good on your resume.
Meanwhile, it's not.
It's going to look good on Ori's resume, though.
20 days from now, we're really going to be talking about the Jenna vote as the thing that put it out.
The Jenna vote.
Yeah, this was a huge moment.
in the game.
What did you think about that we went to three tribes?
Did you miss that we were from two tribes at the start of the season?
They should have left it at two tribes.
I was so aggravated.
I'm like, come on.
We have gotten some of the best and the messiest moments from this two tribe thing.
We have been begging for this for the longest.
And I feel like it was just starting to pick up momentum.
Now, granted, those tribes was getting lopsided.
But I wanted to see where it was going to go.
Yeah, we were eating two tribes.
I think that they did get on, the show got unlucky with that the five-person group went to tribal council.
But that's a tribe split.
Like, it always happens.
How often do we say, oh, somebody got swapped screwed?
It leads to an uninteresting vote.
It leads to all of the other storylines that we knew from our two tribes don't matter anymore because they're not on the same tribe.
So I would have loved to see where the power is at in that yellow tribe.
I don't remember their names.
Like, how do Brady and Mike pivot after Pat goes,
and are they able to swing a Lewis or a Carter back on their side?
Where do you go from here?
Purple just lost Carter.
They just lost Rob.
They no longer have an easy vote.
That's an interesting dynamic.
So all of these storylines we invested in out the window,
and we get the most boring tribal council of the season thus far.
Not a coincidence.
It's three tribes.
Yeah.
All right.
We have so much still to talk about.
I want to offer to one of the three of you the opportunity to stay on with us into the next panel, okay?
But I need somebody who is going to take a risk, okay?
Uh, nose goes.
Tiffany, okay.
All right, make the spirit tunnel for Tiffany.
Okay, Tiffany.
Tiffany, you have the, no, no, no, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
So Tiffany, you have the opportunity to stay with us on to our next
panel, but you have to complete a challenge.
Is it a physical challenge?
It is a physical challenge.
Can I do it in heels?
Yes.
Okay.
I'll try.
Here to perform the physical challenge.
Wait a minute.
Is it sharrays because the answer's no.
It's not charades.
But it is thumb wrestling.
And here to thumb wrestle, Tiffany Nicole Irvin is Killedy.
All right.
That's not fair.
He had practice.
He had practice.
You want to stand up?
All right.
I'm ready.
Okay.
Here we go.
Kilby has joined us.
Kilby, how are you?
Oh, feeling jazz, Rob, ready to redeem myself, baby.
All right.
Here we go.
All right.
Yeah, what are the, do you know the rules yet?
Technically, you're not allowed to move your elbow.
Okay.
Okay.
All right, here we go.
Here.
Sam, help me with the play-by-play here.
And folks, we are off with the thumb war.
Kielby getting aggressive early.
Will his lack of distance?
discipline costume. Tiffany, very poised.
Hand on the hip, and she has got him pinned again.
That's it. That's it. Once again.
All right.
Kelby, thank you so much. Tiffany, stick around.
You'd think he'd be better at this by now.
Yes, okay. Give Tiffany the good microphone.
Okay. Thank you, Sam. Thank you, Emily.
You're good?
Yeah. Hey, he was slippery. He was slippery.
I had to work for that.
He might have been, like, oiling up backstage.
Here with us, we've got some people from our old school panel.
Please welcome to winners here.
We have, of course, first from Survivor Africa, it's Ethan Zahn.
What an ovation.
How are you?
The winner of Survivor Blood versus Water, my great friend from News A.F.
And the pod is spoken.
It's Tyson Apostle.
How are you, man?
man. Did you guys pick
the right show to come to or what?
Yes. Okay.
We gotta get a microphone for Tyson.
All right, but I gave him to say another one.
Okay, all right.
Deep, chair's up here, guys.
Nice chair, right?
Yeah, really nice.
Okay, Ethan, how are you doing?
I'm doing good.
Feels good to be here.
Ethan, you've lived through all of the eras now.
The very old era.
And really, it was the new era when you started.
We started it all.
You started, it was a new era.
It was a new era.
It was the old era and the new era, now the open era.
Things just keep circling around.
Circling around.
Yeah, how you feeling?
Good.
I'm feeling good.
I'm loving this season.
Yes.
I think it's the best season since Africa.
Yeah.
What season was that?
I think it was three.
Three?
I think it was three.
Has anyone seen Survivor Africa here?
Nice.
Thanks.
I couldn't have done it without your help, so thank you.
Thank you.
How are you doing, Tyson?
I'm great.
I met Lewis, the better, cooler version of Tyson.
And I was watching this episode, and I was like, I played over a hundred days and not pooped my pants once.
I do not know what's cool anymore.
Okay, now, we saw in this episode that there was a new tribe, the Dina tribe, where Kilby ended up getting swapped to with Eric.
and there was a bromance that was forming with Eric and Kilby.
You guys had a bromance.
Still do.
We do.
Yeah.
We kept it going.
Did that bring you back at all?
I don't think we were as...
We weren't as touchy-feely, but Ethan did save my life in the middle of the night on edge of extinction.
I was sleeping with my back towards the fire and a log, burning log, rolled up against my back, touched.
touching my back and I didn't wake up.
And Ethan knocked it away from me and I was like,
why are you waking me up?
And he's like,
okay, cool.
Okay, your story's better.
Really cool.
Yeah.
Hold on.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, okay.
My story's canceled.
Tell me if you.
No, no.
So what happened in season 46?
Did somebody save her life?
Somebody definitely saved her life.
I don't remember who it was because I woke up to the screens.
but Venus's pants
called on fire while we were all sleeping.
I don't know if an ember got on her
and it were charred.
Yeah, but lakes can burn for a while.
Mine was on my torso.
Hey, you were in a much more dangerous situation.
Thank you.
That's all I wanted from you, typically.
You didn't know is I actually pushed the log on you
only to wake you up and then it was all part of my strategy.
You had no idea.
It won my allegiance forever.
Now you owe me forever.
One of the things we saw in the episode was that
Eric was serenating the tribe,
Serenating Lewis, making up original songs.
And I know that's something that you two used to do to pass the time.
I do it.
Do you have any, do you remember any of the songs you used to sing?
I think I can do a little bit of it.
It's been a while.
Set up the story, though?
So it was pouring rain on the edge of extinction.
And all the tribe went over to this cliff.
Tiffany looks concerned.
I'm waiting for the song.
That's what I'm concerned about.
They went under the song.
this cliff and the cliff smelled a lot like human urine and a lot of urine.
A lot of urine.
And I hadn't gotten under the cliff yet.
And one of the production people was like, that's where we all pee when we need.
But it was like dripping water every was moist in there.
We spent 20 hours in there.
So I wrote a song called The Piss Cave.
Tyson DJ Piss Cave.
Yeah.
And I kind of, I'll only do a little.
little bit because I don't remember it. I'm not, I'm not practiced. You really spring this on me.
I remember.
London.
To, what to, what to, uh, to Paris, what to, what's a, Fiji, let's a, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Piscay, Dudududududududududud. And it keeps going.
Yeah. Yeah.
Thank you, Tyson.
Now that's how you do it on Survivor, Eric.
Has Lewis done that?
Not gonna lie, I was expecting more of a ballad, a melody.
I don't know.
I wasn't expecting that.
It was something to dance to.
Oh, I've got to do.
This is a good song.
We sing songs all day long.
Yeah, I made a jingle for everybody out there too.
The two worst parts of the 24 hour period are day and night.
That's really what it feels like on Survivor.
You're like, day suck, but the nights also suck.
days are long, the nights are longer.
And you're like, oh, I can't wait for this day to end so it gets dark.
And then as soon it gets dark, you're like, fuck, this sucks, dude.
It's like, now it's to be dark and cold.
So bad.
Immediately and you find the place on the island where the sun touches first and everybody's huddled there waiting for it.
And then as soon as it gets a little too warm, you're like, oh, God, what I wouldn't give for a little darkness.
And hunger is just the constant underneath all this.
Yeah.
That's how it goes.
They gave us food in the old era.
I heard that y'all was so hard.
Yeah, Parv and Saraje were telling us how y'all used to steal food out of security.
Not us. I would have gotten kicked off for that.
Yeah, what do you mean steal food out of security?
I'll let it have been Parvety tell y'all. Maybe I'm telling too much.
All right. I found a water bottle in a car once that was half drank by somebody,
and I grabbed it. And as I went like this, some production guy smacked it out of my hand.
As hard as he could, water every.
And I was like, that is cool.
But it's like water. We get water anyway.
Yeah, I'm an adult, man. That's cool for you to just do that to me.
Yeah.
Let me ask you about some of these other tribes, Ethan.
Okay?
What did you think about the job that Kristen had to do to try to integrate with the new tribe?
Are we talking about this season?
Yes.
This episode.
I did not see tonight's episode.
I was stuck on Amtrak.
That was not a lie.
So I'm sorry.
You know, I realize in the middle of asking the question that I was like, you know, I think Ethan walked in at like 845.
I did.
I did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But Tiffany, for Kristen to try to integrate into the new tribe, how do you think she, how good of a job do you feel like she did?
I think that she could have done a better job because if she wanted to integrate herself for real, she shouldn't have gone to her op from the old tribe.
Because he already has preconceived notions about who she is and how she feels about him.
she has to like explore a new territory he's not working with her but there are cracks and she probably
could have explored them better with brodie he's looking for i mean i mean brady he says brodie so
much i'm sorry brady that's okay yeah we all know who you mean brodie is some people's brady is some
people's brodie you are correct yeah you are correct she did an okay job but i think she needs to let
that carter thing kind of simmer out a little bit who do you think would go home if that tribe went to
the tribal council.
I don't think.
So it's...
I don't think it would be Kristen.
I really don't.
Yeah, it's Kristen, it's Tanan, it's Maggie, it's Carter, it's Brady, and it's Mike.
I think Mike.
Mike, yeah.
Mike, the way he was like going around, immediate, the second you get caught out by everybody,
like, as they all come together, like, this guy is trying so hard, you're done.
And Tanan's over it.
She is over it.
I think he would have been out of it.
What did Mike do to Tanan?
He said that they would have been really good friends at home.
Best friends.
But he didn't bring that up until he needed her.
And she said, Mike is bogus.
Yeah.
I laughed so hard when she said that.
I don't know anybody's been called bogus in like 30 years.
It's like the softest thing.
Like people could have went so much harder at Mike so he got off easy.
It's like bogus, that's not too bad.
I look like a chump or a chud or whatever they say.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They call them chums.
Okay.
All right.
Well, they just had a really tense tribal council in the last episode from last week where it was this six to five vote and everybody was big mad.
And so I figured we got to find out more about what's happening.
So here to spill the tea about everything, here with us from Survivor 51, Lewis is here.
Yeah, Lewis.
Lewis, here he is.
Want to share a chair?
Give me her.
Yeah, come on in.
Let's make a couch.
You can sit on Tyson's lap if you want.
Okay, all right.
Lewis, all right, give it up for Lewis.
Wait, is your stomach still hurting?
He's looking like in rough shape, buddy.
Lewis was in the middle of everything last week,
and I feel like that there was so much that we didn't get a chance to see,
so I figured that this would be a great opportunity to ask,
Lewis about what was going on.
Lewis, can you tell us,
like, in that vote from last week,
what didn't we see
that ended up swinging the vote against Pat?
I'm sorry, there's about to be a big accent
if I don't go.
Hold on, Louis.
He's wearing white pants. You've got to be careful.
I'm still the better, cooler version
of Tyson books.
Batchroom calls.
Prove it by changing your name.
All right, Lewis, I hope you feel better.
We were so close.
He saw parasites.
So close.
He might.
We were about to find out all of the tea.
I hear that's how the Irish are, though.
They generally have weak stomachs.
Is there anything else about this episode that you wanted to mention while you're here?
About you?
But the episode?
Do you want to say anything about Ethan?
About Ethan?
Yeah, I love Ethan.
He is really.
really musely.
Like, he looks wiry here, but every time you hug him, you're like, that's all muscle
under the world.
Like, everywhere.
And I'm so soft, and I'm like, I should exercise.
And then I, every day, I'm like, I'll do it a different day.
I feel you.
Yeah.
Why would I start today when I can start tomorrow?
Totally.
So, it's an open era.
Yeah.
Wait, I want to get you guys' thoughts on this potential showmance.
Oh, yeah.
I'm excited for it.
Is it happening?
Are you shipping it?
I'm so shipping it.
Oh my gosh.
When I saw that they got swapped to the same tribe, I'm like, yes.
Yes.
I want to see it.
It seems like it is happening.
They both seem into it.
They're trying to fight it right now, but they're not doing a good job.
Nah, they're not really trying to fight it.
They're like, we're here not for love, but why not take both?
Tyson, have you ever had a dirty chai?
Yeah, I have.
I haven't.
What is it?
So a dirty chai is a chai tea with a shot of a spree.
or you can do more than one shot of espresso and they're delicious.
Hi, Docs.
So there's no liquor in it?
There's no liquor in it.
Oh, I thought the dirty part, man.
No, the dirty pie part is the espresso.
It's pretty fun.
Right?
Am I right?
Yeah.
Yes.
Okay.
Oh, I'm...
I'm...
I've still...
Boo.
Yeah, I haven't been wrong yet.
Yeah.
Not yet.
The dirty chai is the most sensual thing you can order at Starbucks.
Dude, that's why I don't get it.
Yeah.
I'm 47.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, Tiffany, Tyson, Ethan.
Thank you so much for being here with us.
Thank you for having us.
Yes?
No.
Oh, we can't wait to see you in the Ramble Battle Royale tomorrow.
Yeah.
Exciting.
I heard one of the contestants is actually a lawyer.
Oh.
Okay.
All right.
Keep on that.
All right.
Give it up for Tyson and Tiffany and Ethan.
Thank you.
Thank you.
All right.
Here with us to talk about everything that's going on in the world of Survivor.
Please, well, my, first off, my great colleague who held it down during the commercial breaks, it's Brandon Donlin.
Here he is.
Come on, you can do better for Brandon Donlin.
And here with us, an icon, the Brazilian dragon, it's Abby Maria.
Abby, how are you?
So good to see you too.
Come sit.
Okay.
Brandon, how are you doing?
Oh my God, I'm so good.
I'm so sweaty.
Sweaty.
Brandon, if you're not here with us in person, it entertains the crowd,
did all sorts of games with everybody,
including having Abby Maria come out as well.
Well, Abby, you came across the country for this.
It's so great to see you.
So good to see you.
Is this on?
It's on.
It's on.
Can y'all hear me?
It's so on.
Yes.
Abby, how are you feeling about Survivor 51?
It's the best season since Survivor 25.
Wow.
What do you like so much about it?
Lewis.
Oh.
What is it about Lewis that you like?
I love his Irish accent.
Yes.
Yes. And I love that he's poopie pants number two after Stephen Fishback.
Stephen here?
He's not.
All right, so I can joke about Mr. Poopie Pants.
I called him a Debbie Downer, too.
Yeah, no, he doesn't like that.
Maybe you don't see the same side of Stephen that I get to see.
I love him. He doesn't love me, though, because I called him poopie pants and a Debbie.
down there. Do you think that maybe we'll ever be able to heal the relationship with you and Stephen?
Well, I'm chilling. Is he ready to chill with me? Well, we got to get him back from Australia.
Oh, I think he's doing way better than me. I've been just hanging out in L.A.
Yeah. Okay. Besides Lewis, what else have you liked this season?
All right, let's think. I love that this season is definitely what Jeff said.
unexpected
permanent uncertainty
yes permanent uncertainty
I love that
like every season
I've been able to spot the winner
I cannot tell who's winning this season
so every single season of Survivor
you know at the beginning
as a witch I've known
I have my psychic powers but I cannot read
so for instance like in Survivor's Second Chance
did you know at the start of the season that
Jeremy was going to win
100% pregame parade
between Spencer, him, and Tasha, it was pretty obvious.
Yeah.
But you knew at the start?
Well, no, but I got the tea throughout.
Uncourt gave me a lot of.
What about on season 50?
Did you know that Aubrey was going to win?
I have amnesia.
You should have put some money on that.
Don't know.
Nothing about season 50.
Okay.
Do you?
Season 50?
Wasn't like that one record that they played?
and it was just like, yeah, the best songs weren't there.
Yeah.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I know it was a touchy subject.
I saw that.
Yeah.
Birthday twin.
Yeah.
That's the only reason I'm here because our birthday next week.
Next week, it's my birthday, October 20th and Abby Maria, October 21st.
I thought it was 22nd yours.
No, I'm the 20th.
I'm the 20th.
So you're before me?
You're beating me on this too?
It's not a race.
Always with the Brazilian dragon.
Yes.
Brandon, what'd you think about tonight's episode?
I would like to talk about something that I don't think has been brought up.
What is it?
When the tribes come together to switch up,
Jeff is like, we could do a one world.
Yeah.
We're not going to fucking do that.
He said, it would be so cool if you guys came together,
and it's the open era,
and this is the kind of thing we're going to love to do in the open era,
but not you guys.
Yeah.
Why not?
Who's that for?
Is he, is the people at,
at home or trying getting excited and then he pulls the rug out.
Did you like that?
No.
The mics catch that, right?
The mics, we got that?
Yeah, they didn't like that.
You don't like to be teased, right?
I don't like that.
You know I've had a big reaction in the room tonight?
In the challenge, when the ball came out
and didn't land in the box, every single person in this room
reacted like, oh!
To everybody here, it made sense, that's it.
Go back to the start.
Start from one.
Jeff said, no, actually, it doesn't matter if the ball doesn't go into the box.
It's fine.
You got it out.
You still win.
They really didn't like that.
No, they didn't like it.
They did not like it.
But, you know, well, we'll transition into, we have some unpopular opinions
that the cast members of Survivors Pass have given us that,
that I can read aloud.
A couple of them may be Jeff or Jason.
First off, Abby, we have Devin in this season
that is talking about radical honesty.
Anarchist?
Yeah.
Anarchy.
Let's fucking go.
Can I curse?
There's a child over here.
Sorry.
I've told his dad that we wouldn't curse that much tonight.
LFG.
LFG.
LFG.
LFG.
Right?
And did you invent radical honesty
on something?
Survivor?
I feel like I've always been radically
honest, so absolutely.
Yes.
Okay? We're doing it. We're doing better.
All right. So, Brandon, you asked
some of our survivor colleagues
if they might be
radically honest.
Sure. And I've got a couple of them here. I don't know what order
they're in, and we don't have to go through all of them, but I'll grab
a couple here. Okay. There's one that was really
interesting. Here's this. Okay. So we asked for radically
honest opinions about
survivor and the open era.
This is from some, and they're all anonymous.
We're keeping anonymity.
Boo.
My Vemmo is Brandon Donnell, and I saw everybody right now.
This person says, they don't cast men who can win.
Men are characters and the women are contenders.
What do you think about that, Abby, Maria?
I would say, bring back the black widow, bring.
We should go, then, let's aft in go.
So you're saying yes, yes, and.
Absolutely, let's go, witches.
Yes, and so what about it?
F the patriarchy!
That's what I've been saying.
Okay, thank you for saying F the patriarchy
for our young viewer over here.
And my follow patriarchs right here.
Although I have to say that in fairness,
that there's a group back there,
they are calling themselves the Patriarchs,
but they are all of the Pat fans.
Oh,
let's go Rams.
Maybe rebrand the Pat fans
with the Patriarchy shirts.
Let's go Rams.
Let's go Rams.
Yes, I just flew from L.A.
That's why we're all here tonight.
It's for the L.A. Rams.
Let's go Dodgers.
Sorry.
And Dodgers.
Hey, we're trying to get the 3P to L.A.
Okay, what about the Lakers?
I don't know if I'm like into them anymore.
They just got so, to the patriarchy.
Yeah, the Lakers did start to be like the patriarchy.
The young kid clapped for that.
He's up to date on the Lakers stuff.
Yes.
How about Brady is much smarter than he looks?
What do you think, Abby?
Is that from Brady?
You know what?
All right, let's talk about Brady.
I'm never into that art.
But I'm digging Brady.
He's like the dumbest blonde I've ever seen on my TV,
but I love his blonde dumbness.
Okay.
Yeah, I think he is smarter than,
because I think people think that he's a total dummy,
and he's not a total dummy.
Can I ask you, what's the worst injury you saw
happen to somebody else on your time on Survivor?
I would say Penner.
Panor's injury, like, was, like, that nail
on his knee?
Was it on Heroes versus Villains?
No, but not when you played with him.
Yeah, when you were there, who did you see that had the grossest thing?
When I was on Survivor, mine?
Yeah.
I tore my ACL day one on Philippines.
And you stayed?
I stayed to like final five.
Mm-hmm.
All right, let's get one more radically.
I was not.
What was his name again?
Roberto?
Roberto.
Roberto, I was not Roberto.
Abby Maria was not Roberto.
I stay to the end.
I'm not a quitter.
Right.
How about nerds are ruining Survivor?
No, nerds are ruining Survivor.
I love my nerd.
Nerds rule.
Who wrote that?
I can't say.
I saw him right.
All right.
One more.
One more.
Okay, let me, I'm going to my pile.
Let's do.
Rob did not actually quit.
That's not.
India.
Just like it to be asked that he's Brazilian.
He is not Brazilian.
That flag is fake.
He's a gringo.
We do not claim him.
Yeah, I did notice that.
Rhode Island Rob has a Brazil tattoo.
That was so bizarre.
Do not claim him.
He says he's Brazilian?
He's Brazilian?
I don't know, but the internet's been asking me,
and I tell them he's a Brazilian.
That means like he's a fake Brazilian.
He's not.
Like, Brazilians are not quitter.
Are you kidding me?
No. And he has like, oh, sorry, I'm not even going to get into it. Does the internet ask you if all people are Brazilian, or just the ones on this show?
Well, the one with the Brazilian flag on his arm, they're like, why is he wearing a Brazilian flag on his arm? But he looks so white.
That's why I have my jacket on. I'm covering. I didn't want you to see mine.
Are you Brazilian? I'm not.
Brandon, you're not. I don't know if I'm what you just said Rob was.
Yeah? Like what?
I don't think I. I don't think I. I don't think I. I don't know that's my word.
I can say everybody who can't.
Yeah, I guess right.
Guillermo's not Brazilian, right?
No, no, he's not.
So all losers are Braz?
I don't know what you're saying?
Go Rams.
This is all for the L.A. Rams, baby.
Go Dodgers.
All right.
I'm in the East Coast I can't tell.
Dodger Blue.
Whatever, dude.
Your team, the match, let's not even get started.
Okay.
Let's not get started.
If you're trying to get there with me,
like I can.
We're not trying to get there.
Go, Matt.
Abby, are you ready for?
the
ramble
battle royale tomorrow.
You haven't played
Survivor in some time.
Almost 20 years.
Well, in a way.
I exaggerate.
I'm Brazilian.
Rob's not.
Unless he is, in which case.
He definitely exaggerated, though.
Do you all think that was a
freaking injury?
Come on.
Come on.
Yeah.
No.
No.
He may never be able to play soccer again.
But I...
No, I am so ready.
Are you kidding me?
Rachel Riley, Brendan,
Josh Martinez, Maury?
It's all happening.
Oh my God.
Ream?
Okay.
Brandon, anything else that you want to say about this episode?
I think I might be hanging,
but we have somebody here who's going to be joining us.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
That we have with us.
Let's get up for Pat.
Pat, I'm sorry that I made a joke about that you have fans here
that we're calling themselves the patriarchy.
Am I supposed to forgive you?
It would be nice. It would be nice.
But Pat, Brandon has set up a game for you to play here with us tonight.
Brandon, tell Pat about what you have set up for her.
Well, Pat, you know.
What happened you in the first 15 minutes of the first episode?
Pantless Patty.
I lost my pants.
You lost your pants.
So what we've done here tonight is we have,
three men that are going to come out on stage under a large blanket.
Yeah. What? It's the Zupa instructor. One of them is not wearing pants.
Here, come over here. Let's let's make room for them. Here. It is. Here, come
on this side of the stage with me and we're gonna play a game, a guessing game for
you, okay? Here are our three guys, Brandon. Could you bring the mic to them?
Yes, I'll be the... Okay, all right, and there are three men here,
one of them has no pants
behind that sheet
and your job today
is you get to ask them one question each
and then you're going to guess
which one of these men
is pantsless. Do they have to be honest?
Yes.
Okay, so introduce yourself
and then Pat, one question each.
I'm Chris. I am local to D.C.
I'm Bart. I'm also local to D.C.
I see you.
Okay.
I'm Mikey from Toronto.
Okay.
All right.
Pants or Pantsless guy number one.
Okay?
What's your question, Pat?
What are your legs feel like right now?
Healthy.
Okay.
All right.
Pants or pantsless guy number two.
Guys, I'm going to be really good and not ask, are you wearing pants?
Now that's all I want to ask.
Okay, so do you feel uncomfortable?
It's maybe not the best.
All right.
And pants are pantsless contestant number three.
Do you wish you had pants on right now?
What's that?
Do you wish you had pants on right now?
Okay. All right, Pat.
Okay, either weird or you're wearing pants.
Do you feel like you have enough information to tell us which one of our contestants is not wearing pants?
No.
But I think that...
Do you want to play your shot in the dark?
Yeah, I'm going to play my shot in the dark.
I'm going to go...
I'm going to go first, guy.
Number one.
Number one.
Okay.
You bet you are right
You have got it
Yes
I can recognize a fellow
No Pantswear
Just when I see him
Yes Pat you still got it
Thank you
Yes
Give it up for Pat
Okay
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you to our tour
Oh yeah
Now it's a party
Abby
Did you
Did you expect that tonight
Pantless Patty
and Pentless Joe, no.
Okay, all right.
Abby, Brandon,
thank you so much, okay?
We can't wait to see you tomorrow back in action.
Okay, great to see you.
Okay, all right.
So, today.
I just recorded a podcast earlier today
with this guy, first from Smart 242.
It's Omer Zahir.
It's here with us, of course,
you know her and love her from the edge of extinction.
It's Ream Daily.
Great to see you too.
It's the early birthday.
Thank you.
Okay.
Ream, how's it going?
It's going really well.
These are super bright.
Bright lights up here.
But we're doing good, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Thank you for having me.
Thanks for, I don't know what the hell is going on tomorrow.
I'm, like, if it's who can stand here the longest, I'm down.
I don't, I mean, I'm up against, like,
freaking Ethan, what's he going to juggle
Saucle Bar for eight hours? Like, I can't do that.
Yeah.
Maybe.
But yeah, I'm just hoping
they'll be easy on the elders.
Okay. Omer, you were here
in this room with everybody. Were you
shocked by the audience's reaction
to anything in the episode
tonight? No, I feel like we're watching
a season that's actually just like a comedy.
It's one of the funniest seasons I've
ever seen, and I love that everybody
loved it so much, because even if
this was the worst episode of the season. It was still pretty good.
You know, and...
I will say, I think that
the first three were so amazing.
It was, the bar was very high.
Yeah. No, this was incredible. And you know what?
I think I found, if you've ever wondered
in your mind what it would be like for Marianne O'Ketch and I
to conceive a child, like, picture that it's Eric.
You know what I mean? Like, that's...
That is Eric.
There's a reason we'll never have a child.
Sorry, Connor.
Now, in the episode, Carter compared how Kristen was treating to him
to the way that he would treat a pig.
That was crazy.
You can't tan a pig.
That's a craziest thing I've ever heard.
Yeah.
He talked about this, like this was a completely normal metaphor.
that everybody was going to understand about how,
you know, it's just like when you have a pig
and then you take it to the pageant
and then you gotta dress it up and then you tan it.
It's like, you could take your dog
and pretend it was a pig.
I guess so.
Did you know this about the pigs?
I mean, full disclosure, I came like.
Okay, we'll remiss that part.
But take my word, but Homer saw the episode twice.
But I mean, if you want to...
Yeah, tell me about what were you feeling
from the first couple episodes?
Here, make sure we get you in the microphone.
Okay, honestly, why are we not doing a deep dive on the Exile Island situation?
Yeah, let's talk about it.
That was crazy.
I mean, he threw up.
He was working.
So his poor hands, like, bring him down here.
Bring him down here.
I think he's not feeling well.
He's, oh, yes, he had to get up.
He left already.
Anyway, that was super impressive.
I love that they busted out on day one.
and Bravo for stepping up, man.
I think that says a lot about him.
And, I mean, I'm pretty loud.
I doubt they want me to do this.
Yeah.
But.
Is that your favorite from the season, Lewis?
I really like him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I do.
But, I mean, there's a lot of great folks on this season.
I mean, I'm still laughing about you can't see it, but it really hurt.
About Rob.
You know, you interviewed him, and he's been on like 800 different.
interviews.
Yeah.
And what's going on?
There's something on the side.
Stay with us,
Dream.
Okay.
But why, I mean, yeah, you do have to go back to Ponderosa.
Why did you leave, man?
Like, what, do you know more than...
Well, I saw from, from, I did a podcast with Joe Hunter, and you asked, and you asked
a question about you were, you were very annoyed by Rob quitting the game last week.
Yeah.
What was it about?
it that bothered you.
I don't want to say bad words, but it's like, you know what, you bust, people are dying
to be on Survivor.
Right.
Time after time they apply.
Like, I was on the edge of extinction just dying to get back into the game, man.
And when some dudes got an idol, hello, and like the world at his fingertips.
Right.
And it's been hurting for a few days.
But, like, that's, I'm sorry, man.
Like, hello, ACL.
Aubrey had like a staff infection in one of her seasons like it's I'm sorry I don't I just think it's
BS and I think it's a bad I get that I get that and I hear I hear what you're saying
this is a fair podcast we like to give people the opportunity to defend themselves so
here here with us here with us to talk about this it's wrote right rob is here
Yes, Rob.
Give it up for Rob who's here.
Rob, hold on.
Okay.
Rob is on, is on crutches.
Yeah.
Rob, can we, can you have a seat?
Yeah.
Please welcome to the stage.
Rob.
That's hilarious.
I, uh, stub my toe.
Reopened some wounds.
Okay, Rob.
You don't know, these injuries.
Yes, yes. You need to be more careful. Can we see it?
You don't want to see.
Okay. I'm not on Wiki feet yet. I'm still not going to go there.
Okay. Rob, you've been everywhere. Everybody has been talking about you over the last week. What's it been like with all the attention?
All I'm saying is there was more noise when I got voted out. People were talking.
That's true.
I think you would have won the season.
if you didn't quit, though.
Here's what I'm thinking.
Alexis tonight had some ideas.
If I had Jenna's shoes, wouldn't have happened.
Yeah.
That's next level.
It really is.
All I'm saying is those first three episodes, they were hitting.
Now, I may not be on Survivor proper anymore,
but I hear there's a ramble game happening tomorrow.
Oh, you want it?
Maybe I could get in on that.
A rambble?
Battle Royale?
It's in the rain.
It might be too much for you.
It's...
Look, I know you were on the edge of extinction for a couple of days, but...
Trust me.
If you had an infection like I did...
It was up to my neck.
Did they help you at Ponderosa when you waited around for a few weeks?
Did they help you out?
Let me tell you, you have three kids getting a break at Ponderosa.
Not too bad.
You had a doctor on your...
tribe, why didn't she get the OBGYN to check it out?
Ah.
She did check it out, actually.
I've got her on speed dial.
Now, Rob, Ream had some harsh words about your effort in the season.
Did you want to respond to that?
All I'm saying is my tribe didn't vote me out for washing their clothes.
Did, okay, first of all, first of all.
Day one, nobody knows anybody, nobody truly cares.
Like, nobody cares.
This is not your name.
But you know what I didn't do was write my own name down.
Like, hello.
Didn't see that coming?
Turns out.
They didn't have that in the rule book.
They actually did.
There was actually like three rules and that was one of them.
Look, you look a lot.
like my roadie brother.
So I'm going to let that one slide.
Did you have any thoughts about tonight's episode?
How would you've done in the tribe swap?
So I told Eric before I left, said,
you are losing your bro.
So go make another bro.
Wasn't expecting it to be Kilby.
Not going to lie.
I thought Carter, maybe.
Bob, what's next for you?
So this is no on the ramble,
at Oriole.
I think.
Well, if somebody drops out, hold her out first.
Yes.
We'll give her what she wants.
Maybe the standby has an alternate.
I'll take that.
I don't have a whole lot of other calls coming in.
This was it.
Yeah.
What about the traders?
I would do the traitors.
Who wants that?
Who wants that?
Me on the traders?
Rob on the traitors?
You might get an infection from the food, though.
It's not great.
Was it great for you?
No?
The food?
Yeah.
I mean, it was fine.
Dude, it looked legit.
Like, every time you guys were hitting it hard on the breakfast, every morning.
Oh, we hit it hard.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's fine.
The breakfast, you know.
And then did you have to leave and go to the luxury budget in?
Like, you didn't stay at the castle, right?
We're not really supposed to talk about that.
I got to tell you offline all about it, Ream.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, Rob, do you have any plugs of anything you want to tell people to check out?
I hear the RHIP does a pretty good love is blind podcast, actually.
Oh, yeah.
You like that?
For real?
Do you?
Oh, yeah.
Do you do 90-day fiancé?
Listen, Ream, we got the hookup for all of it.
We've got to dive on 90-day fiancé, man.
Hunt for love.
What is happening?
happening, Emma.
I don't know. I'm down.
Well, Rob, thank you for being here.
Omer, anything else you want to say?
I think that I personally think
that Sharonda's playing the best game that we've
seen so far, and
everybody trusts her so much
because you have to trust an
OBGYN. I moonlighted
as a hedgehog OBGYN once.
And I could never do it again, but
what's that like?
It didn't end well
They didn't trust me as much as they trust
Your Honor
Okay
All right
You're a hedgehog matchmaker
I think I would do better with that, yeah
Yeah
Okay
By the way, check out
Omar Zahir
Recapping this episode
on this week's Survivor
Know It Alls did a great job
on that
And Ream Daley
Can she be the latest person
From the Edge of Extinction
to win.
It's a lot of pressure.
There's that picture
Aubrey posted.
Yeah.
Fulfill the prophecy.
Rick just killed it
on Big Brother.
Then you got Chris on the challenge
like not once but twice.
They tried to kill him
in the first time on the challenge.
He just came back, man.
He just came back.
And anyway, I'm proud of all three of them
and I don't want to let him down.
Okay.
We'll check it out.
Good luck.
Ream.
Great to see you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you, Rhode Island Rob.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Do you need help?
Do you need help?
I might.
I might.
All right.
Rhode Island Rob is going to walk off.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
How are you all doing?
Good?
All right.
Well, we're going to switch gears a little bit because we have some big brother icons that are here.
us to talk about, you know, we have some interesting developments happening with Ori and Jelly.
So here with us to talk about it, some showmance experts.
Please welcome from Big Brother.
First, Brendan Villegis.
Brendan, my guy, what is good.
How are you?
What is good, my man?
Yes.
Did you catch that me and Eric did a deep.
dive with Paul and Califiori this season?
I'm just wondering why we don't have
a winter of Stein.
Yes, I don't know.
And here with us,
fresh off of Big Brother 28,
it's Drew and Melody.
Drew!
Yes.
How are you?
Hey, Melody.
How are you?
What's up?
The classical handshake.
Yes.
Good choice, Melody.
Thank you. Thank you.
Okay.
All right.
Drew and Melody, you're just out of the Big Brother house.
How's life?
It's great.
It's so cool.
It's very overwhelming.
I still sometimes I feel like I'm in Big Brother.
Every time I see a security camera, I pee my pants a little bit.
But it's fun.
Listen, like with the flock cameras, we're all on the live feeds.
Yeah.
Yes.
Drew, and how's life for you?
I'm going to try to do a lot more of listening to Melody,
so exactly what she said.
I co-signed.
Okay.
All right.
Man, he's learned a lot early on, Rob.
He's learned a lot.
He's learned a lot.
So on Survivor, you know, we,
Big Brother,
we have so many showmances
that pop up on Survivor.
It's rare.
Rob and Amber,
but then in between,
not as many.
But here this season,
maybe Ori and Jelly
are going to maybe
to start a relationship
on Survivor.
Brendan, are they going about it the right way?
I mean, to be honest with you,
I just,
always think about the smells on Survivor.
I just, I really, I really think I could,
even if Rachel was there, I love her, she's my wife, 16 years.
She's not here so I can say whatever I want.
She's probably already asleep.
But seriously, I do think that, I mean, can you really get to know
somebody on this, in this environment?
Are you just connecting over, one, trauma, two,
environment and three stress
because when times
get tough
okay so
in this episode we saw
ori practicing
some pickup lines
on jelly and
I'd love to know how
do we rate those pickup lines
how Melody
what did you think about Ori's approach
10 out of 10
absolutely I think they're so
cute together like I've been rooting for them
since episode one, I really like both of them, and he's a charmer, and I'm rooting for it.
Drew, can he improve on any of those pickup lines? Are there better survivor pickup lines
that Ori could give? Oh, Drew, this guy's got, come on, give us the good stuff, Drew.
All right, guys, I'm going to let you in on something. Okay, I got to be honest, I wasn't watching
the episode. I was too busy looking at Melody the whole time. But I'm sure, I'm sure he's
He was doing a great job.
Yeah, but forget what he did.
I want to know from you.
What are the survivor pickup lines a survivor contestant could use?
You spent a lot of time with survivors.
Oh yeah, I love survivors.
They love me too.
Yeah, something with sand, right?
I feel like that's you gotta start somewhere like that.
The sand.
Right?
It's very...
That's romantic.
It's very rough.
There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I'll catch one for you.
Okay. Melody, would that work?
Yeah, or like your eyes are as blue as the ocean.
Yeah, that one too.
Yeah.
Okay, what do you think, Brendan?
My love for you
is as hard as
that log
that I just brought over for the fire.
Yes.
So do you see what I did that?
Yes. Do you see what I did there?
I did get that. I did get that.
Yeah.
Devon is
trying to be a matchmaker.
I think this is a bad idea
for Devin to try to get
two people that are in his alliance
to be together
in a showmance.
Is that a good idea?
Should he be trying to get
two other people he's working with closely
to be in an alliance?
I hear yes.
They love love.
I mean, yes.
So this is definitely a Rachel thing
because my wife loves
showmances.
So she's a big fan of them.
but if it's an alliance and there's only like five people or six people in your tribe,
why do you want to automatically form a single vote out of two people?
In my experience, I found it was a real obstacle when two people fall in love in a small tribe.
I found that difficult to work around.
That's what I, that was my experience.
That's what I would imagine would happen.
I mean, I for one, I don't think I would.
would encourage it. I would
applaud it, pretend to
enjoy it, and then be whispering
behind their backs. So
Drew, do you think that Devin
should be trying to undermine
this? Should he be trying to block
the showmance? No, I think he should
full send it. I mean, love is love,
but also, like, that is
just a big target
in the game. Like, why would you not want that? I'd be like, hey,
look at those guys. They're cuddling together.
Like, I know that firsthand.
Yeah, but that's
They're in an alliance together.
You wouldn't even in a showmads, which is crazy.
What?
Were you ever in an experience where there was somebody who's trying to, like, call attention to a showmance?
Um, I think so.
Think, think.
Thinking.
Thinking.
I think the guy named Devon also.
Devons with a Ness.
I think he was trying to do that.
D.
Haley.
Chuck.
Chuck Tom.
It's Chuck.
Time. Yeah. So Devin in this season that he said, now I know that there's been times where
that it's been talked about, Rick Devons is like a dad to you. Devin in this season of Survivor,
you were in the house when they were when this happened, but he talked about how he is the
love child of Rick Devin and Joe. So in a way, Rick Devons is kind of like Devon's dad on Survivor.
I'm just going to say one thing
I don't think you want Rick Devins to be your dad
in any reality TV show
Jack and Juju say it's pretty sweet
but hey man
good on him my big brother
dad Rick Devins didn't really take
too good care of me
he got rid of you know what Drew
right here in front of this audience
I'm going to volunteer become your big
brother
Oh
Brandon you would take
and I will never let you down Drew
Thank you.
So should there be like an All-Stars or season?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Meli, have you watched any Survivor before this season?
No.
Yes.
But you came right out of the Big Brother House and you jumped right into it.
I admire that.
Yeah, I watched all of the episodes of this season on my plane ride and I actually really
liked it.
The cast is really, really cool.
So I think I'm going to continue to watch this cast now that I'm invested.
But there's just so many damn seasons of Survivor.
So it's like, you know,
I don't know, maybe I'll just Google the highlights.
Hey, but Rob, what we were talking about backstage was,
do we think that Melody would survive on Survivor?
How many of the audience thinks that she would do well on Survivor?
Give us...
Thank you.
They were talking mad shit about me.
Liars.
Liars.
I'm a biggest liar and you guys are all liars.
Drew wouldn't survive, Survivor.
He said that he would.
You can't bring your hairbrush.
You can't bring a toothbrush.
There's no mirror.
What are you mean?
Man, they're already on.
16 years of marriage, guys.
Yeah.
Take him under your wing.
All right.
Wait, what did he say?
Brendan's taking him under his wing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're going to work through this.
Yeah.
And shouldn't Rachel be on Survivor, though?
Or are you like, well, you know, you know, Rob?
I've spent a lot of time.
I will tell you, Rachel has earned her stripes.
She definitely deserves to be on Survivor.
Jeff Proops obviously has to give her like three idols
immediately going into the game.
just to weigh this out.
All right.
Anything else about Survivor and the
showmance on Survivor that you want to talk about?
I think they should go for it.
It's probably not best for their game,
but I think it's cute.
Okay. Do it for the TikToks, right?
Do it for the TikToks, do it for the likes.
I guess, right?
No, I don't think they should.
Hey, I want to see a little Black Widow.
Let's draw a man.
and vote them out.
Okay.
All right.
Well, we can't wait to see you all in the Ramble Battle Royale tomorrow.
Good luck.
Everybody.
Give it up for Drew and Melody and Brendan.
Yay, thank you.
And remember, vote for me.
Vote for me.
All right, thank you all.
Okay.
All right, we got one more panel here, okay?
And we got a panel here.
We got some other big brother.
icons that are here with us. We've got fresh off of the Big Brother 20th roundtable.
Chelsea is here. Hey Chelsea, how are you? Okay, Morgan is here. Hey Morgan. How's it going?
Great to have you here. The great Big D is here. Big D. Come on, give it up for Big D.
What's up, Josh?
How are you, man?
How's it going?
All right.
All right.
Look.
It is hot up here.
Now, is that merch, Big D?
Is that merch?
Do we have a microphone for Big D?
You can get an Evo fan at the Heavy Crown Network.
And it keeps you very nice and cool.
I'll tell you that, okay?
Okay.
So how many of you are newcomers to Survivor,
and how many of you are regular Survivor Watchers?
Morgan, you're a newcomer to Survivor?
I mean, I watched when I was a kid,
but I don't remember any of it.
Okay.
I'd love to be able to answer any of your questions
that you might be having about Survivor here
in its open era.
Oh, I was going to ask a completely different question.
Oh, please.
What was it like when you first had to poop?
Oh, is this a good question?
We were talking to us backstage.
Yeah.
Like, how do you determine between like digging a hole?
and like having a spot versus like going in the ocean.
So, yeah, so it's different now for like when I was there.
Yeah, so for maybe.
Wait, the man himself.
I'm going to let me tag in Tyson.
How do you take your shit, Tyson?
You ready?
So, it's not that hard.
They tell you to go out in the ocean against the current so it doesn't wash up against you.
It's fish food.
It immediately is gone to nature.
Nature's toilet and shower.
But a lot of people are not coordinated enough to tread water and poop at the same time.
A lot of people.
And I don't want to say like it's a gender thing, but all the girls just poo right next to the shelter.
Oh, my God.
Just dig a hole and then poop.
And it's fine for a little while, but then when the rats and the bugs and the smell.
It's like shit.
And so.
This is why I could never, ever do Survivor.
I love this.
Going to tolerate that's land.
Tim, did you take your ship by the shelter?
Absolutely not.
That's disgusting.
In the ocean?
I would like to say that the women are nice and clean
and we do an aqua dump like ladies.
Okay?
Thank you.
Don't believe that nonsense.
How?
That's between me and God.
The other thing you can do is you can squat in the water
where it's shallow and hope that the water takes it out.
That's it.
Tyson, do you have any questions about pooping in the Big Brother House?
Like when you're dropping a bomb and everybody's just standing in there.
I mean, how many bombs are you dropping because you're not eating?
So, like, what is happening in your buddy?
You still poop when you don't eat.
I know, but after like 15 days?
You still got stuff in it?
Well, yeah.
But you never answered my question.
So, like, you're in the Big Brother House and you got to let one rip.
I go to the A-2-A-H room.
And no matter who's in there?
I just tell them my...
hey, can I use the room for that?
Emergency and you blow it up
and the HOH guys like, I won't put her up.
I regret asking this decision, but it was
really what we were talking about.
That's all I wanted to talk about.
You're in the hot seat.
I'm sorry, I'm taking a job.
Now that we got Tyson up here with four Big Brother
that I would say icons,
would you consider ever playing Big Brother
and would you win the game like Rick?
Because I think you would.
Josh, I don't think I would.
I think I'd be okay fitting in and stuff,
but it's just too long.
I think I'd go crazy.
I'd slip up, I'd get mad at somebody.
It would be irreparable.
And then I'd just be like, well, I already tanked my game.
I may as well just go as hard as I can.
Piss everybody off and then exit.
Guys, I want to see Tyson on Big Brother.
I'm like...
Yeah, right?
Guys, I'll be real.
I did not like this guy,
and I met him in the House of Villains,
and I became the biggest Tyson fan.
You didn't like me?
I didn't like you, dude.
I watched all of your season Survivor.
Not the biggest fan, but I'm a fan of you in person.
Okay.
He's awesome in person.
To be fair, I felt the same about Josh.
I was like, this guy cries and yells.
And those are two, I'm like in the middle the whole time.
And I was like, this guy's either here or here.
And he has no in between unless he's sleeping.
But a lot of times he cries in his sleep.
Very true.
But I love him.
I do love him.
On House of Villains, I was like, this guy's actually really cool.
And I can say actually, you did.
I didn't.
I did get hammered.
But, yeah.
So if you get a chance to meet Josh, say hi.
He's nice enough.
And the others seem fine.
All right?
We love you, Tyson.
Welcome back, Rob.
Yes.
Sorry about that question.
That was incredible.
Chelsea, do you feel like you have all of your questions answered?
Mine, she stole my poop one.
Yeah.
No, but you had, that you looked like the most confused during that segment.
Yeah.
And also, like, in previous seasons,
did y'all get chickens and stuff to kill like that?
Some seasons get chickens, but not every season.
Have you, did you ever kill?
I never had to kill a chicken on Survivor.
We were unwell over there watching that.
Yeah.
I think that's unnecessary part of Survivor.
I'm holding up to remember when they got chickens on Big Brother.
There's chickens.
What's that, Big D?
I'm sorry, I have a quick.
Hello, Big D everybody.
My question is, what do you do about people that smell?
Like, do you tell them they smell?
Do you, like, keep a distance?
Yes.
Because I don't play about...
See, I think this is more interesting
in the Big Brother House if somebody smells.
What do you do?
But on Survivor, everybody smells.
So only if somebody smells unusually bad, is it a thing?
Did anyone smell unusually bad?
Yes, but you wouldn't know who they were
if I told you.
On my...
There was a guy named Mateo,
and he had...
Yeah, a very pungent odor.
Ooh.
What do you do?
Like, how do you keep a, because I'm going to be honest, if someone smells, I want them out.
Yeah.
I'm not going to lie.
Like, that's my reason, smelling.
Mm.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if it's ever happened on Survivor.
Somebody smells the worst.
Sometimes they used to have, like, a contest where they would ask you questions about the tribe.
They'd ask you who smells the worst.
But I don't think anybody ever got voted out for smelling the worst.
Okay.
I have a question.
Yes, Morgan.
So when we're watching that,
episodes because obviously like we don't have to search for hidden immunity idols we have a veto
which is always fun is it as scary to search for an idol as it seems you know that they
wasn't invented yet when i played survivor i'm sorry i wish i had better answers is it Tiffany
gonna run up or anything she's not even listening Tiffany yeah i'm sure it's even listening
I'm sure it looks very tense
but I've got unfortunately
I uh
you never found it
they didn't they weren't invented
yet when I play Josh
that's how long ago
my thing is like do you know
or like as someone that has done reality TV
I feel like I would get tipped off by the camera guys in production
like if I'm hot or I'm like a close to an idol
yeah like I would realize
okay I'm close they're panicking
I think in the early days I feel like that the camera crew
is like better at that now but they used to
like when they first started like people looking for
them. They'd be like, okay, the camera person is not following me. It's not over here.
All right. Well, we are
just about out of time. Is there anything else that you all want to say
after now? You've studied up on Survivor. You're ready for
the ramble. Some of us are ready to play Survivor.
Listen, they had Devon. So I say no and boo? Who was it?
No, I'm kidding. Listen, while you gave me the stage and a mic, Rob, you messed up
because now we're not over, we're going to go overtime for real.
Going overtime.
But what I'm going to say is this.
I think that we saw Dee and Devons,
which I was a huge fan of them,
dominate our game.
And I think that there's people within the Big Brother space, Jeff.
It's time.
Throw some of our heavy hitters.
I'm not talking about myself.
But I think Chelsea, I think Morgan,
I think Rachel Riley,
Jack, Casey.
There's a whole lineup of people
that would dominate Survivor.
Absolutely.
I think that Jeff is like hesitant
and like, oh, no, we don't want people for Big Brother.
But then they get out there.
He's like, oh my God, Hayden,
Bees Smoke Cowboy.
I love Beesmote Cowboy.
It's the greatest guy ever.
So it's like he hates the idea,
but then he, like, if they get out there,
like, he would fall for these people.
I would love to see it as a family.
I do have someone we should put on Survivor.
Who?
I think we should put Drew on Survivor.
So he can get his lick back for Rick Devons.
I think that would be good.
Drew's about to have the best reality TV run ever.
Okay, we'll find out.
Guys, do you guys want to see Big Brother players on Survivor?
There you have it.
Change.org, okay?
All right.
Let me tell you everybody about what's coming up.
We got some big things happening on RHAP, of course.
Check out the exit interview this week, my podcast with Omer.
Do we have slides?
Okay.
Don't forget our date, Rob.
All right.
Yes.
All right. Let's start off with, we're next time.
We're going to do the live show in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Come on.
December 9th.
Be there for that.
Rob is website.com slash events.
We've got the Ramble game tomorrow.
Be sure to check that out on the Ramble app.
Go to survivor.
Dot chat for that.
Can I talk about RhabCon?
Did you all know about RhabCon?
2017.
Oh.
We did it this summer
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
and we can announce
summer 2027.
Big Brother 29
will be about three weeks
in July 22nd
to 24th in
Kansas City, Missouri.
Who's coming?
Big D. Do you even know what
RhabCon is?
I'll be there. Yeah, it's like
drag on.
It's like a
drag con. That's right. That's right.
Okay, tickets are going to go on pre-sale
sometime this fall for the patrons of Rob
as a podcast, so be on the lookout for that.
And then we're going to be in Charlotte.
I'm going to be talking about the Traders
on Thursday night, New Blood, Episode 6.
Be sure to check that out. You all watching the Traders
New Blood?
Okay.
We're Big Brother players on the Traders.
It's about time, right?
Yep. Okay. All right. Everybody, thank you for coming out to see us here at the Capitol turnaround. Can I give a special shout out? I said it earlier, but I want to say it in the podcast. Two of my friends from college surprise me tonight. Tommy and Justin came out to see me. Big surprise. Thank you guys. Are you coming to for HapCon? Yes. Okay. All right. Big D. Chelsea, Morgan, John.
Anything else you want to say?
We love you, Rob.
We love you.
And we love Survivor.
Thank you for being here tonight.
I love you too, Big D.
Yeah, put in a good word to Jeff as well.
I'll put it in a good word.
Rob scenario, you are the love of my life.
All right, Derek.
Save that for the after party.
All right.
All right.
I will see you all at the after party.
Thanks, everybody, the Capitol Turnaround.
Thank you, Sam Moore.
And thanks to all of the reality stars
who came here tonight.
We'll see you at the after party.
Woo!
