Hey, everybody, what's going on? Rob Cesterino, we're back. It's talking with T-Bird. We got a good one today. Amy O'Hara from Survivor, Guatemala will be joining us. And here is the woman who nobody will ever want to beat down. It's T-Bird. Teabird, how are you?

Hey, Rob. I'm very good. Thank you for asking. Excited about our girl, Amy, today. Been working on her for quite a few years, so we finally got her. And she's got some great stories with her profession as a captain of a police officer as a captain.

And she's going to be a lot of fun. I still want to do a podcast with you one day of opening up the T-Bird files where we go through some of the people that you have been trying to contact for years in years. Rob, that would, yes. Yeah, for six or seven years.

And I've got some good stories. Yeah, I've got some good stories. I'd have to put a little time in to pull it all together. But yes, I think that would be. Maybe that could be the season finale, the T-Bird Files episode. T-Barr. Okay. We'll take that under advisement.

Yes. Okay. Well, what else is going on? Nothing. That's about it. about it. Anything you want to know from me? Wait, that leads me to believe there's something I need to know from you. Nothing you need to know. Yeah.

How is it going with all the coverage for Big Brother? Well, it's exciting. We have a lot of stuff. There's Big Brother things that are happening every day. We did a lot of podcasts and we're waiting for super exciting things to happen. So Rob, are you, you're not watching the, I can't imagine with your busy, busy life that you're you're watching the live feeds. So I watch some live feeds. I certainly cannot devote the amount of time to it that many can. And of course, we have really the greatest live feed watcher on the planet and Taryn Armstrong, who podcast for RHAP. So it is nice that I don't feel like I have to be watching it 24-7, but I like to watch it when I can. Rob, I don't know how Taryn. I remember thinking this.

every summer. How does Terran, he has got to be glued to this for, is it three months, three and a half months? Yeah, the thing that really holds me back is really the family and other commitments. That's the thing that really, if it wasn't for my family and other commitments that I have, I think I could do it. You could watch it. Yeah. Do you think I was out of the country literally for about five days and got back late last night? And, Believe it or not, of course, I was over in Nigeria, so Big Brother wasn't aired there. So I didn't know anything about the show until I watched it late last night from Sunday. So I was wondering, when they're only covering an hour, hour and a half, all these live feeds,

are we getting pretty much the good stuff? Sometimes you are, sometimes you're not. Yeah. I mean, is it telling the story pretty good, or is it kind of hard to say? It depends on the night. Again, sometimes they get it right. Sometimes they're really yoddy-y-dying. Now, Rob, kind of like when I say Survivor, the way you are is the way you are, the way you live your life.

Yeah. Well, I would think Big Brother cameras on you for, is it three months? Three months. Yeah. Sometimes they... I do feel like that sometimes on Big Brother, they build up a character to be a little bit different than what they are like three-dimensionally when you watch them more on the live feeds. Really? Well, that's interesting.

Because I was thinking you can't really hide from that. Yeah. Or at least it's more noticeable because I think that people, on Survivor, you don't really have anything else to compare it to. Right. Whereas people can watch somebody 24 hours a day and say, ah, they're not really giving a faithful portrayal of what this person is like. Yeah.

Okay. Well, I'm just, I'm looking forward to see what sticks for you with a reality show because I know you're not done yet. Well, we'll see. We're not done yet. We'll see. All right. we've got Amy O'Hara standing by.

Are you ready to bring in Amy? We were first introduced to this tough-talking Boston Cop on the 11th season of Survivor, Guatemala, filmed among the Mayan ruins. She was a last-minute replacement for a player who had to drop out. She only had a week's notice to prepare. There were 18 players, 16 plus two returnee players,

and we would see the debut of the hidden immunity idol twist. The 39-year-old had quite a resume. She had already made history as the first female sergeant in the Revere Police Department and served as a detective in the major crimes unit in Revere, Massachusetts. She had dealt with a lot, but survivor proved physically and mentally demanding. She had never gone camping or hiking, so it was culture shock. She said she wasn't even close to being in shape and wasn't sure she could even run a mile. She decided to apply when someone told her, quote, you'll never make it on Survivor, end quote.

She wanted to go to have the experience of a lifetime. She said she held back because she didn't trust telling the producers her plans. That was the cop in her. The jungles of Guatemala proved brutal. It started out with a 12-mile hike, which was extremely difficult. difficult. Then during the game, she suffered multiple ankle injuries. She twisted her ankle during a Mayan basketball-like game, but she stayed in gaining the respect of the others for her toughness. Just before the merge, she suffered a second ankle injury during the boulder smash that left

her unable to efficiently compete. The doctors examined it and said it was up to her, but she was not going to quit. She was 1839 days because of her injuries, just missing the merge. She said she played the way she wanted to play. She was there for the adventure. After the show, her own regret was not playing. That quote, to win, end quote. Since survivors promoted to captain and retired in 2025 after 1525 after,

30 years. She is now on the comedy circuit doing stand-up comedy where she talks about the absurdities of everyday life, her cop gig, and growing up with six sisters. I introduced the woman who's described by another player as, quote, the strongest and most real person I've ever met in my entire life, my entire life. I won't ever meet anyone as real as you are, end quote. Amy O'Hara. Hey, thank you. Thank you for that incredible introduction, T-Bird. I appreciate it. Hi, Amy. It's so great to have you. Thank you. I'm so excited. So, Amy, let me start from the beginning, which is really not the beginning. But it's the beginning for us with our podcast with Rob. I reached out to you in March of 2021.

Five years ago, Rob, trying to get Amy. We finally got her, Rob. Yeah, what changed your mind, Amy? Why did you? decide that this was the right time to talk to T-Bird? Well, you know, I was still at work at the time, and I was very busy at work. Now I have more time to focus on what I want to do and have a little fun now that I'm retired. Yeah. The thing that really took me by surprise is that, Amy, you're a comedian now? Yes. Imagine. Well, I always thought you were very funny, but I had no idea that this was something new that you were doing. Well, I didn't know either. I sort of fell into it, and I've been rolling with it and, you know, getting out there as much as I can to, you know, get good at it.

It's very challenging. Yeah. Do you talk about Survivor at all in your comedy? I don't, but it's a set that I'm thinking about, you know? Because it's, right, like being a comedian is very challenging to get up on stage. And I have a little bit of stage fright. It's not like you just get up there. The comedians that are very successful, the ones that are writing, and they get now at these places every single night to try the material.

So I have definite things I could write in regard to Survivor and what the hell I went through all. So, Amy, I've listened to some of your stuff and I was thinking I didn't hear anything about Survivor. So, Rob, I'm glad you mentioned that because Amy, I was thinking, I would imagine, you know, people are fascinated with Survivor. And the fact that you were out there, I would think you could come up and do something. fabulous, fabulous material. Oh my God, yeah. Are you kidding? I've never been camping in my life, but now I'm in the Guatemalan jungle?

Of course I can. I say, Rob, we help her with that because you need to go in that direction. Do you know Bill Posley? Are you familiar to Bill Posley? Rob, wasn't he from Survivor One World? Yes. He is a comedian in New York. I think he's in New York, right?

Oh, my God. Now that you say it, now I'm thinking. Yeah, I don't know how much stand-up he does. But I feel like that he certainly does like character acting. Yeah. You know what? I've seen his name now that I'm thinking, I'm like, shit. Yeah. He was on Survivor, but usually somebody who's on Survivor and they know I am, we reach out to each other.

Yeah. He was on, I think it was season 24. Yes. So that was, you know. It was a while back. Now you know. Yeah. Now I got to connect there.

So, Amy, tell us, you know, I mentioned that you only had a week's notice. But before then, what made you, you know, when you started going through the process, did you fly out to L.A.? Did they take you through like they did everybody else? And did you see anybody out there that you recognized from the show? Tell us about your experience out there. Yeah, well, I applied for the show and I made, you know, the 50 people that make it you state. I made it to the next round. And what happened is my video, my application video was just me in a Red Sox hat really laid back down. on earth. When I made the next round into Boston, I wore like I was going to a job interview. It was the total opposite of who I am. Like I wore pants and shoes. I hadn't wore shoes. I don't know in like 15 years. So I was, to them, I appeared a little bit different. And I didn't make the next round. I was really like, you know, you know how you hurt. You don't make the next round. And what happened was there was a big brother interview like some point after that. And I

worked an overnight shift. I went to that interview in like pajamas, basically. And I ends up making the finals out in L.A. to Big Brother. And I think it was the season where you had to bring another family member on or something like that. And I remember I had my cousin. We both had a Boston accent or something. So it didn't work out, but they remembered me. They're like, keep applying the CB, you know, Big Brother CBS and obviously Survivor. So when there was a last minute situation that came up with Guatemala, I think I fit the right age bracket. They were looking for and they called me. Yeah, Amy, that's like almost my story identically, where I had applied to, I was always as a Survivor fan, but I had applied to be on Big Brother 3, and I got very far in the casting, and then they ultimately didn't take me, and they called me, like, last minute for Survivor the Amazon. I mean, I had four weeks to get ready to go and go play on that season, but it's a similar background.

I'm trying to remember what Big Brother season that might have been, because they did do a lot in the early days of Big Brother, where it's like two people know each other. And I'm trying to remember around the time that when did your season air? Is that like 2006? 2005. Yeah, 2005 going into six. Well, no, 2005 it was. Yeah, so maybe it might have been, is that Big Brother Six? I think maybe where they had the two, everybody had a partner in that season.

Yeah, yeah. It was like everybody had a partner. Right. Yeah. So, I mean, you said four weeks notice, kid. I had a week's notice. Yeah. It's crazy.

It's absolutely crazy. I don't even how I pulled that off. It was nuts. Because you have to buy a lot of stuff. Well, not just that. I had to make sure, like, at work that I have any upcoming court cases. You know, and ironically, I didn't have any upcoming court cases. And then obviously, I used vacation time that I had from work.

I used all of it. And it was just crazy. Like, telling my family, like, I'm out of here for seven weeks. Because you didn't come home then. You were, like, gone for seven weeks. And, you know. So maybe, yeah. I saw the only preparation I think that you did was you drank like seven beers the night before you started to play.

That was your preparation. Probably, yeah. Probably. Because at that point, you can't do anything. I wasn't as fit as I am now or I was working out all the time. I mean, I was a power lifter, so I had some strength. But I was nowhere as fit as I am now. And, like, I think I went and I ran some stairs a couple of days before the week.

and I was like, this isn't going to be good. You know, I was like dying. Dying. Now, what did you think when you got out there in Sok? Obviously, you had watched the seasons prior. Yes. What did you think when you saw two returnee players that were going to be out there?

Well, I was a fan of Stephanie's. And I liked Bobby John, too. And that's probably why I fit in that area when they were casting. But, you know, Stephanie was one of my favorite players back then. So, you know, I was excited that she was on my tribe, not think, I should have been thinking a little more strategically, but I wasn't back then, you know? But if I have this right, so you all must have gone and go film that season, like, probably only a couple of weeks after you saw the finale of Survivor pullout, right?

Right. So this is very much like, sure, this is like the biggest, you know, survivor stars, you know, that are out there right now. Right. And I was fans of both of them, you know. So, you know, we were excited to see this. them. I mean, I was at the time. Oh, let me say this before I forget, Amy. The quote that I ended with on your intro was from Bobby John. I know.

You probably know that, but the listeners may not know. He spoke, of course, very highly of you. What was the quote again, T-word? Well, hold on a minute. The quote was, you'll never meet a nice person, loyal person, I'll never meet another person like her. This is it. Quote, she is the strongest.

and most real person I've ever met in my entire life. Wow. My entire life, I won't ever meet anyone as real as you are. That's a huge compliment. Yeah. He's a good kid. Yeah. He's a good kid.

You know. So, Rob, we have something for us since we were just talking about Stephanie. Did you watch Stephanie on Winners at War? Did she come back? So that I think T-Prey, I think you're talking about the Survivor 50, in the hands of the fans. Yes. Yes.

Yes. Thank you, Rob. Yeah, I watched some of it. And I mean, I know the ending of it. But the beginning parts that I watched it, you know, I was following her. You know, I was, I was rooting for her. Yeah. Rob, we got something a little special.

Okay. She might enjoy. Hey, Amy. It's Stephanie LaGroza here. How are you? Oh, let's see, Amy. our days in Guatemala were phenomenal. Actually, I really enjoyed my time with you in Guatemala because you made me laugh.

Your accent from Boston was hilarious. And the fact that you were a cop and a badass, a fellow badass woman, I absolutely adored. I feel like we did not get enough time together. I feel like we needed to go much further together. I feel like we needed to align sooner. And I think, you know, things would have been much different. But unfortunately, it just went how it went. You made me freaking laugh, though.

Like, not many people curse like my Italian family and me. and you were one of those people. And I friggin' love you for it because you were real and you were authentic and you were funny. And you are a police officer and I love police officers and I love you and you're a badass and you're a woman. So thank you, Amy, for being freaking amazing. And I'm sorry that we weren't like this out there because I really did feel close to you often. times. So too bad we couldn't have gone to the end together. I probably wouldn't have won't have one either way. So it would have been great. But I love you. I think you're amazing. We spoke not,

we hadn't spoken in years and then we spoke not too long ago. And it was really great catching up with you. So I hope you're doing well. I hope you have fun on the podcast. You know, the biggest thing about my season that I look back that I still say I need a vodka when I watch it is that obviously I was voted out because they thought I physically couldn't do the team challenges. And then I get voted out. and the team merges, and it's all about individual immunity,

which I wouldn't have been a threat. So every time I think about that, I'm like, you know what? Let me grab myself a teedos and soda. I mean, can you imagine like it was lousy. And it would have been great because then it would have been like 5-1-5 or would have been even. But, you know, you can't look back. But sometimes I'm like, you know.

Yeah. And Amy, I think you would have really gone really deeper into the game because everybody loved you, which I didn't realize that until I started. pulling this together. Everybody speaks so highly of you. So you would have done gone very far. And actually, I think you are considered for heroes versus villains.

Yeah, I mean, I got a call, like a lot of people got a call. But I got a call for heroes versus villains, you know, a couple of calls. And then, you know, it just, you know, they just like discard you. And I'm like, whatever, you know. I mean, they need people in line in case something happens. but that's as far as it went. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, still, that's pretty impressive. Yeah, that's, I think I read that maybe Candace was replaced with your character. Yeah, I think Candice was in there, but I don't know if she was getting married at the time or they were trying to figure it out. I mean, I'm just making an assumption. Like, that's what I try to figure out. So, you know, I don't know ultimately what their decisions or how they made them. I just know that I got a call for it, you know? Yeah.

Which, you know, that sucks too because you're like, oh my God, can you get another chance to do this? I mean, you know, you guys obviously know it. You know the game you've been around. Teresa, right? So. Yeah, you know what? I actually read, too, that you loved Africa. So I got to be a little club for Africa.

My favorite season, Africa. Wow. Yeah, Bing, Bing, Bing. Yeah, okay. I wish I had a bill. I wish I could bring it for you. I wish you had a bell, too. Yeah.

No other season ever attempts to do anything else like that. Can you talk a little bit about what that was like? Oh, hell yeah. Okay.

First of all, when Jeff came out and says, this will be the toughest challenge, I'm looking around because everybody in my season was ultimately jet. They had time to work out. And here I am in the miracle bathing suit that sucks you in 20 pounds. I was like, oh, I was like, you see me, I'm going like this because I'm going shit, right? And so now I'm like, here we go.

We actually went 20 pounds. miles. I learned after because, you know, I think I got them lost, but I sort of hid that. Yeah. I kept saying to Gary, take the compass. But it was brutal. And they did not show that whole challenge. Like we had a rope bridge. It was brutal. And it wasn't, we were like, it wasn't just flat ground, Rob. It was insanity is what it was. And it was tough. And a lot of the guys started to break down and get sick. I don't, I have no idea how I made it. But, you know, I just, I wasn't, I'm the type of person like, you have to kill me.

I'm not, I'll never quit. It was brutal. Yeah. Frigan brutal. It really was. Yeah, I just remember that scene, like, after it's over, there was, like, like, Margaret's going around and, like, all these guys, like, Bobby John and Brandon, they're all, like, passed out on the ground.

And it's like, okay, this is, this was real. Yeah, and don't forget, like, when you start getting dehydrated, everybody, has diarrhea. There's no toilet paper. Like, I don't know what, there's no freaking tool paper. So I remember, I'll never forget, I started getting sick, and I'm like, please, right? And like, we lay down for like a half hour. I'm talking, we're on a cliff, and the monkeys are out, and I'm like, I had to go up and use the bathroom. And I remember going up, and I remember they talked about poisonous

leaves and everything else. And obviously I was getting sick, like I was going to throw up. Everything's coming out everywhere. And you know what I said? Frigg this, I used a leaf, not knowing if it was poison or not. I'd rather wipe my ass and burn than not wipe my ass at all. Right. You know? And what was the answer?

Was it poison? No, it wasn't. Because my ass didn't stop burn, so I'm good. Yeah, it was, it was, it was, it's insane, Rob. It was, I mean, you guys know it's absolute insanity. I've never been camping. I'm like, I started laughing at myself.

I'm like, what the hell am I even doing? This is crazy. Like 20, it was a, overnight hike. We never stopped. We never stopped. And I think, you know, my experience as a police officer helped because I know what it's like to go 24-7 sometimes if you work in a serious case. And, you know, it's just the ability to adapt is what helped me. I'm able to adapt, you know, because in my line of work, you have to be somebody who adapts to any situation. And I think that was helpful for me. And Amy, on that second challenge, the bowl.

shoulder smash when that took your ankle out the second time. I was looking at that. That's the same challenge we did in Africa, right? That's right. The same one. And I had forgotten that y'all had done that as well. So I know from experience from doing it, none of us got injured, but I can certainly see how you did. And I can't believe nobody in Africa did. Right. And plus I re-injured the same ankle that I did in the basketball challenge on the netting. It was brutal. And you know what? Like back then, there was no splints.

There was no ace wrapping. That afterwards they did that. I mean, I just remember the doctor going, I don't know if it's fractured or not. It's like either quit or whatever. And I'm like, that's it. Like there was no ice. Rub some dirt on it. There was nothing.

There was nothing. I think I used like a bandana, something to wrap my foot. up, but it was nothing. It was just, it was like three times the size of my ankle. Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know, so I just went, yeah. It was really an era in Survivor history where I feel like that they really were experimenting

with how intense can we make the challenges, where we're really going to lean into, like, the physicality of the, you start to see a lot more challenges that are like, hey, today's challenge is wrestling. Today's challenge is fighting and pushing and grabbing stuff out of somebody else's hands and it certainly is not... That's not how it started and it's certainly not where it is now,

but you definitely were like right in the middle of it, like the most extreme challenge era. Yeah, I mean, you guys know it was physically demanding, you know, and physical challenge were a big part of it. I mean, now it's a little bit different, but there's always a strategy in what anybody does, right? Even if you get through, there's a strategy

and you're getting through. But those challenges were absolutely brutal. Like, I can't even, like, who comes up with them? Well, John comes up with them. But incredible, difficult challenges. Well, Amy, something we didn't see was, I believe, that y'all were attacked by bees. Bees?

Yes. You didn't see that, Rob. No. They formed a camp. Yeah, production didn't get that either. But we were attacked by a swarm of bees. Yeah. It was insane.

And production wasn't there at that right moment, but it was insanity. Did you get stung? I don't remember getting stung because I remember running, trying to get, like, get away from it. And of course, you can't dive in the water because there's freaking crocs in there. Like legit crocs in there. There was one time Gary jumped in there, like, production was like, Gary, you got to get out. Like, don't do that. And I'm like, I can't believe.

I just could not believe I was there. And I'm like, this is insanity. Yeah. That's what it was insanity. Well, with the crocodiles, and it was very, very hot where you were. I believe, I think it's the episode where you get voted out where that there is the, there's the swimming pool that it was a reward that you could go in a swim. You could swim in, they built like a cage that the crocodiles. Yeah.

Yeah, I was still there. Yes. That was a great reward because. We also got margaritas in like dip in avocado and anybody who didn't drink. Of course, I took it. Mm-hmm. But it was, I'll never forget because that was the first time I dipped my whole body, even out there, like go in the bathroom and not wash.

It's the first time I dipped my body. It was day 18. Yeah. It was disgusting. But it was, I was very excited about that reward. That was a pretty good one. Mm-hmm. You know.

So, Amy, like that. Africa, could y'all not, was there no place for y'all to fish or hunt or do anything if you couldn't get in the water? Well, we had Lydia, Lydia Morales, she was a fish monger. And so the only fish we got was like she, she made some trap and we had like nine minnows that she caught for our tribe. And of course, like, you're going to eat it, right? Like, you try to grill them up, but we all ate the men. Like, I'm like, what am I doing here? Eating five minnows from the lakes of a lake. You know, it wasn't like this beautiful location and beach.

We're like in the frigging jungle. You know, it was, yeah, so it wasn't too much. And the only thing it gave us, they gave us big corn kernels, like as a staple. And what happened is on the 20 mile hike, those bags were 50 pounds. And I carried a lot of them and some other people, but we had to carry them as we hiked, which sucked big time because they were extremely heavy. but that was our staple and we only ate it like one day

we called it corn mush it was disgusting but to me it was delicious when you're not eating anything sure Amy was it kind of like grits because that's what we had like corn maize

did you was it that? Yeah well sort of because I don't eat really grits like oh not but that we would take it

when we we just mashed them up and like tried it was like I guess it was like but it wasn't as wet. It was like dried, dried, over cooked,

burnt from the fire, corn shit is what it was. Amy, did you develop relationships with other people maybe that you stayed in contact with after the show or that you enjoyed out there?

I mean, over the years, I'm Facebook friends with a lot of them. But the one person that I sort of check in at least once a year is Brian Corridan.

You know, I check in with him so often. I'm like, hey, what's going on? Do we know who's going on, Survivor 50? You know, every season we're always asking questions. So he's the one person. And then, like, Judd's wife is another one I check it, like, every once in a while. You know, just Facebook stuff like Danny and, you know, Gary's on.

But that's it. But that's about it. Yeah. All right. Hey, Rob. Yes. Let's do something special for Amy. Okay.

Amy, what's up, buddy? Oh, my God. I was just thinking about all the great times and memories we had in Guadalamala. One of my favorite memories was me and you having a little picnic on the ruins, and you had asked Gary if you were a professional football player. I told you he was a landscaper. And my second favorite is when you said, we're decimated here.

We're decimated. That's right. I love you, Amy. Oh, my God. The rest of the day, I'm going. Thanks. Oh, I mean, I love Judd, too. New Yorker.

like we sort of got each other's accents. You know, obviously we were on separate tribes, but I did get, that was an incredible reward as being on top of that pyramid and eating and drinking. And then I remember we were talking about Gary in the, you know, him in football. And I probably, looking back now,

that would have been a great opportunity to exploit that a little bit more, but I didn't do that. And then obviously when he's talking about decimated, when they switched the tribes up, my entire tribe was gone. And I'm like, we're freaking decimated here.

Like the whole entire tribe was my tribe now. And I'm like, we're decimated. You know? That was just, but you know, Judd's, I've actually, when I took a cruise out of New York several years ago and I met Judd and his wife. Well, let me ask you about Gary and his professional past

because it was a big deal in Survivor Guatemala and I believe you asked him point blank about this. You threatened that you would beat him down if he was lying to you. And he was. But it was such a big deal. Is Gary lying? Right. Yeah, I remember.

I was like, I'm going to beat you down like a redhead of stepchild. And you know what? You would think it's a big deal because it should have been exploited. Yeah. Right? But we sort of knew but didn't exploit it. And so that's the thing I look back on because you could tell just when you're watch the season when Danny says, you know, you played football, he answers a question with

a question, which is a clear sign of deception. You know, I look at it. And I didn't, like, we sort of knew, but we didn't exploit it and use it to our advantage, you know? So that's one. So are you pretty good, I mean, because of your background as a, as a police officer, as a cop, yeah. Were you pretty good recognizing who was telling you the truth or who was lying? Like, you just said you should have realized when he deflected. Yeah. There was something there. But what did it make any difference in the game that he, you know, didn't let you know that?

Well, you know what? We sort of knew, but we didn't exploit it. You're supposed to exploit those things. That's what you're supposed to do is use it to your advantage. I mean, we were sort of aligned, but I could have turned that and use it to my advantage, and I didn't. But I do have a lot of training experience when somebody is not being honest, you know, there's key, key things to look for and watch and with body language.

So, but for some reason, it's just, you know, we didn't, we didn't exploit it. What's the biggest thing that you look for? As far as what, when somebody's lying? Yeah. Body language. Eye movement, answering a question with a question, like, just ask them outright. And they'll either say, it'll ask you a question back. You know, they'll usually ask you a question back.

Sometimes if somebody doesn't ask a question back and they give you the answer you want but it's a long stare. These are just, not just one, but along with body language and their answers together, you can start saying those are deceptive. And these are well-known things

that people do when they're deceptive, you know? Good. Did you think letting them know you are a police officer, a cop, would help you or were you unsure if you should let them know that? No, I didn't mind telling them that because there's one thing as a police officer, I have the ability to get along with everybody.

You know, I had, I was a lieutenant, well, I was a sergeant on the ship, but I had people that were 20 years younger working, you know, working for me. And I, you know, I have to deal with all different, a diverse community. So I had the ability really to work with people. And nobody really pissed me off. I was like a jerk. Like Brian sort of aggravated me. But you don't let your emotion, you have to regulate your emotions if somebody's pissing you off, right?

and use it to your advantage. That would be key. Do you keep up with Gary at all? Gary and I are like on Facebook, you know, and I do, I'll make like a post once in a while. But generally I liked him, but, you know, he was full of shit. Yeah. Did he keep up with like the cast afterwards?

Because I feel like that sometimes the people who are sort of, that, you know, he was a football player. And then he was doing this for fun. they don't always like keep in contact with the rest of the cast. Yeah, I think, you know, we stayed in touch for a little bit. And like I said, we're friends on Facebook. But we might have messaged like a couple of times over 20 years, but that's basically it. You know, I'm sure if I meshed him, he'd probably answer, you know.

Yeah. You know, you just share a special bond that nobody can understand. Only we understand. We can talk about it forever. But it really is different actually living it and being there. It's a once in a lifetime experience. And, you know, I went in, too, with basic strategy. Like, I didn't, it was basic strategy.

I didn't, you know, if I ever went back, strategy would be a little bit different, you know. How so? Well, you have to think, you have to think a step ahead. You have to, it's almost like investigating crime. You have to think, if the person doesn't do this, what are you going to do? You have to think ahead of it. And you have to obviously align with people. and then it's good to know when somebody's being deceptive.

And you have to be able to pull the plug when that alliance isn't work. You have to take risks is what you have to do. And, Amy, I thought it was interesting that you said, and I mentioned it in the intro, that you held back when you had your confessionals with producers, didn't trust letting them know what you were doing, which interestingly was also, I believe what I've read, that Danny was very close-ed-off. The stealth bomber.

Yeah. Is that true, Rob? Was that true? That's what she says. Yeah. I don't blame her. Because I'll tell you why. You know, I mean, now that I know, when you're on that game and they start asking you

questions that you didn't talk about, they know something. Do you know what I'm saying? They know something. So pay attention when they say, hey, so how's it going to Camp? Did, for example, did Rob do this or Rob do it? start putting your antenna up because that leads me to believe like they're gaining information from somewhere.

I mean, I held back a little bit. A lot of times I didn't talk to them. I was like, did the Red Sox win? You guys are eating garlic at Base Camp and they're like, we're trying to talk to them. Like, what are you eating? I can smell it. Yeah.

Like that's how I talk to them. And they're like, we can't talk to you like that. I'm like, I can smell garlic. I know you're eating. Yeah, you really can, for the people at home, that your sense is, are so heightened in a way where you really can tell

what the people who are like the camera people and like the producers come by like, okay, they were eating, they were drinking, like, it's kind of weird. Yeah, it is weird. And, you know, they, and I just remember they would be like, they didn't want to talk to me

because I wanted to know how the Red Sox were doing and they were just like, they didn't want to, they didn't talk to me, you know? And the other thing is when we were on hike, like, that was a serious, like, I'm carrying a 50-pound bag of corn. I'm climbing up a hill over brushes. Like, it was ridiculous. And these camera guys are right with us. You know, like, they're not bitching. They're not complaining. You know, it was like, they're right there. They're right there. So I have to respect that, too. Yeah. Amy, how much do you keep up

with a survivor over the years? You know what? I thought about this. You know, I love the earliest seasons. obviously your season and Teresa's season. But I think after 20, it started to go down a little bit. And then after 30 a little bit, and then when it came to 40, it's just really slipped off. You know, I mean, I think I might have saw a couple of episodes here and there. But I think with the new survivors, I don't even recognize them. You know, I've been to a couple of events. And, you know, we're getting introduced and I didn't know they were on Survivor.

You know? So here and there. It just drastically went down. It's different. Yeah, it is different. For sure. It is much different. What do you think about from 39 days to 26 days?

Well, I'm old school. I'm old school, okay? Yeah. You know, I think just me, I love the fact that it's physically demanding along with, you know, mentally being demanding. because then the game, you're still trying to strategize. You still have to think ahead of it. So I think I like it being difficult. You know, I want it to be brutal.

You know, I want it brutal. That's what I want. Like, we got nothing. When I say nothing, like, we're boiling our own water out of that lake. There was, there's no free water. Like, you know, like it was ridiculous. I like it difficult. I mean, you know, there's a lot of,

They added like all kinds of twists and everything else. I just like the old school because that's where I came from type of type of game. Well, Amy, so the birth of the immunity idol was in your season. And I don't know, Rob will know this because he knows like everything. Did that affect? Did that, who did that affect in the game or did it make a difference in the game? Well, I think I think Gary was able to go another week because he found the idol. But, you know, I,

Something like that's pretty cool. I mean, I would have loved to, I would have, because I mean, this is what I do for living. We execute search warrants and try to find little items so I know how the brain, I would have absolutely loved that to be part of an individual, part of an individual game. But I think Gary had got him another week because he was a threat, you know, but eventually he was voted out. Yeah. Yeah. So I think you try, we were trying to convince Danny or you feel like you'd, didn't try to convince her enough to take out Bobby John that last vote. That's right, because it's because they were thinking about the physical challenges and I had been hurt. That's what they

were thinking about. However, I could have used that Gary lied. I didn't do that, right? I didn't talk about, I didn't exploit that, which Danny brought it up. So I look back, you know, those are some of the things that I could have, I could have did. But ultimately, I think it was because they were worried about the physical challenges. And ultimately, that's what was my demise. All right. So, Rob, let's surprise Amy with my other, the little other clip we have for her. Okay.

I absolutely love Amy. We did not start the game together, but we ended up on the same tribe. And let me tell you, we worked together as long as we could, but of course, I was very loyal to the people I'd started the game with. But Amy's the funniest person that I've ever met my life. She was pure entertainment out there in the Guatemalan jungle. There was never a boring moment, a boring day with Amy around. And she's a total city girl.

And here she is out in the jungle. And she hated those bugs. Anytime they'd fly around her or heaven forbid land on her, she would cuss them out. And I mean, I heard cuss words. I've never heard in my life before. And sometimes we just tell her that bugs landed on her just to see her reaction. Sorry, Amy, I don't know if we know that, but we did. Thanks.

But my favorite memory of her is when we had to compete in a challenge together, and the two of us had to go up against Cindy and Stephanie, who are so strong. and we had to push this massive, big, heavy ball against the two of them. And every time we faced them, we won our round. And I'd like to take some credit for it, but it wasn't because of my lanky self. It was because of the brute strength that Amy has and the mental toughness, because she had just sprained her ankle and it was a massive. She could hardly walk.

But when push comes to shove and it was time to go, man, she was locked in and she won that challenge for us. I encouraged her each round. And I tried to guide that ball. But it was Amy's strength against the two of them that won those rounds for us. So she was a total badass, so funny, the nicest person you'll ever meet. And I love you, Amy. Listen, girl, I would love to see you back on our screens again.

Survivor, it'd be great, but I think you could win Big Brother. Not sure if you're a fan of it or not, but listen, Big Brother, you need Amy. She's the complete player and completely entertaining. Love you, miss you. Have a great show, guys. Bye. Thank you, Danny Bowright. Wow.

I'm getting like emotional hearing from them because this is such a huge experience in your lifetime. And no one can understand. Stephanie, Danny and Judd, like it makes me emotional, you know, because we shared things that nobody can understand. And I genuinely liked everybody that I played with, you know? And it's just, it's fantastic to hear from. them. It really is. Thank you so much.

Yeah. What do you think about Danny pitching you to the producers of Big Brother? Well, I know I'm entertaining. That's for sure. You know, and I guess everybody says that I was funny. So I guess, see how I'm into comedy now? I never thought that I'd be doing this, but I've always used a sense of humor

in difficult times. You got to make fun of it, right? You have to embrace the suck. I'd fight the suck. So I was always embracing it. Big Brother, that's a, you know, I thought about it back in the day. haven't thought about it recently.

But I'm up for, you know what? I'm retired, Rob. There's two survivors on it right now. I'm up for a new reality show, even if it's like trade is. That would be, that would be fun. You'd be good. I'm up hard. Because you don't have some time in my hand now.

I'm retired, you know, so I'm up for a big challenge. Amy, are you watching Big Brother? Have you watched it? I haven't watched it a long time, but, you know, back in the day I watched it. I mean, I don't know how the format on, has it changed much the form? format on that. I mean, it's crazy. It's changed. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy. Again, it's all about, again, this is, I think, why you'll see law enforcement, well, not a lot of people do well, but law enforcement is like in the real world, we're doing this. We have the ability to get

along with people, figure out their deceptive or not, who you could trust. So I think it's skills like our profession can bring, like a lot of professions, but, yeah. You know what, I'm up for challenge. So, Amy, I don't know that Rob knows this, but you do like different reality shows. Rob, in 2012, she was on the family feud with her family. Did you know that? Wow. No, I didn't know that.

Tell us about that, Ms. Amy. Yes, we played against the NBA play at Chris Paul. Okay. And, you know, obviously I had been on Survivor, and I said, I always love Family Feud. So I grabbed my sisters and my cousin, I'm like, we're going to go and audition. and I go, just do what I tell you, because I knew. So there was a big audition line. I go, just follow me.

We walked to the front of line. I go, listen, your hair of family's here, and we want to audition. Like, I just took over. And we had an audition, and they were like, because we're a little nuts. They were like, ding, ding, we went right forward. And, you know, we ended up playing against Chris Paul. And a fun fact is that we were out all night. And I remember getting home and putting my head in the hotel and the pillow and the alarm went off to go freaking.

We were all hung over. Yeah. you lost. No, we beat them. Oh. No, we beat them. We went to the, you know, the bonus round. I went second.

My sister said to say I messed it up. I might have, okay? What question did you mess up? They asked, how many nights a week can you party? I think I said five. Then they said, what is something that you don't want people to watch you? And I said sex. And then the other thing was.

And that was bad? Those weren't good answers? No, I don't know. People said, well, I don't know if I said, Yes, I forget, something about sex, but that got zero. But the one thing is like something about a family gathering. And my sister said wedding and I said christening, which, you know, is different, you know, and I didn't get anything for that.

Yeah. But, you know, I forget the questions, but my sister's still to this day. They're like, you screwed that up. And I'm like, no, I didn't. You go second, you know? And then we played again and we lost. But we had so much fun. We stole a sign out of a bad.

There was some barrette. There was this beautiful sign, metal sign. And like, it was this big. And we coordinated, took it, we ripped it off the wall. It's hanging in my house, my sister's house in New Hampshire. We had to have it. What does the sign say? It was something about Killingen Red, but it was something that meant something to the family.

I don't know. Yeah. But there was a whole coordinated thing. Like, I had my foot in the wall like this. ripping it out of the thing. And then we were able to fold it and we put it in the back of like one of the skinny sisters. And then my other sister like was flirting with the by guy, like distracting him. Right.

And then we get in the Uber and we were like, go. They're coming for us. It was sick. Yeah. Well, let me just say that's a story just in case. That's a, that was a, that we asked Amy, can you make up a fake story and tell it on the podcast before, before. hand. We usually do that. We don't always use it, but when we do, it's always a big hit. Yeah. Yeah. Right. So, Amy, between Jeff Probst and Steve Harvey, who would you invite for

Thanksgiving dinner? Or a christening. Or a christening. I mean, Steve Harvey's fun. Jeff's intense, right? You know, like how many times, like I couldn't stay when he yelled, come on, Amy. Let's go. I want to go, fuck you, Jeff. You know, you know when you were in a challenge? People like that. But he's, he's, um, you know what else he would do? What? At the tribal, you know how he just made statements that he would look at you?

Right? I would go like this. Jeff, you didn't, like, I've been on the stand. I'm like, you didn't ask me a question, Jeff. Oh, okay. He's intense. But I think, I think I take Steve Harvey because he's fun. But Jeff is, you know, who wouldn't want to have like dinner with Jeff Probst? Sure. you know give me a one more adjunct for jeff probst what did i tell you intense okay can i tell you intense already or are you asking yeah that's good that's a good work well he's

or ziplining? Zip lining is scary, but no, but stand-up comedy's hotter. I have stage fright. You don't just get up there and be like, let me just, it's not easy. But ziplining, I'll only do it if I'm getting money for it. Like, I'm not doing it for the hell of it.

Have you done it since? Have you done it since? No. And I don't want to do it since, okay? Unless you want to pay me, challenge me. I need a challenge. and I'll do it. Like, if we're, if we're together, like, if you don't do this, you know, we lose, I'm doing it. Right. You know, if there's money involved, I'll do it. But I haven't ziplied since.

You know, it's one thing you go on Survivor, but, you know, you go to all these other places where, you know, my wife and I, we were going to go on our honeymoon. And I think we're going to go zip lining. And, you know, but then you should think about it. And it's like, I'm here. I'm in this foreign country. Do these people know what they're doing? Like, if something goes wrong with the zip line. Is anybody going to look for me? Like, who's,

is this safe? No, my friend. And let me tell you something that you brought, you bring something up about the jury. Now you're going to trip, the jury that doesn't make it. Sure.

I had an accident, scuba diving. Okay. I was down like 50, you know, I was on my second dive. The whole, all of us are out there

and there's just one experience dive. None of us dives. There's like one person down there like the nine of us, and Brian Corridan went by, and he got kicked my mouthpiece and my mask off, like 70 feet underwater. So thank God I paid attention. You have to, like, clear your mask.

And so I just remember being under there telling the guy, I was almost panicking. I was like, and he was like, he couldn't do it. So I just remember my experience as a police officer got me through that. I was just breathing and I tried to remain calm. I never got certified because I'm like, no friggin' way am I doing that third drive after this.

you know like there was there wasn't enough support down there but oh my god so you you brought that up zip lining in the train you can't come up too quick either in the scuba diving yeah it was like like mask and mouthpiece so it's like i remember like the train you have to pull back i forget which one you had to put you could clear your mask under the water but i was it was very scary i just remember my breathing and it's claustrophobic and i was just like calm i i i don't didn't even pick it and the guy was like, well, no, I kept going like that and he finally got up there and I'm like, I'm so done like after Survivor and now I was giant scuba diving. I'm like, forget it.

Not doing this. So I didn't get the third dive and I didn't, you know, certify. Yeah. Can I ask you about something that you were there for when Blake got voted out? And we've talked about this a lot on the podcast over the years that they talked about the debate Blake story where Blake would tell a bunch of stories that seemingly would get on people's nerves. Was that accurate? Was that how it really was when you were there? Yes, because I was on the tribe with Brian, and obviously that's when the switch happened. It was like me and Brian with the

frigging whole other tribe and Gary. But, you know, I called Blake Golden Boy. That's Golden Boy, because he was like, you know, but Brian was like, he, he just went on to tell these stories, like it was going on and on about his girl and the big boobs and this. He would just, like the trips that he was on, right? And Brian started coming up with, I'm just going to bait Blake. And so Brian would just drop something and he would go on and on and on. And we would laugh.

We would laugh about the whole thing, you know, so that's true. And I like Blake too. He's another sweet hat. Yeah. That is true. Brian would bait Blake. That's legit. Golden boy.

Yeah. I called him Golden Boy because he's like, look at him. This beautiful man, blondeish hair, simple. And I'm like, golden boy. It's like, oh, the heavens open up. He's a golden man now. He's 45 years old, Blake. He still looks great.

He's still, you know, they have a daughter, I think, and his wife, I met her. They're doing well, you know. Nice. Yeah, he's a good, I like to just, the thing is, I like to, you know, there wasn't. Like Brian and I had some issues. Like I wasn't sure if I liked it, but I generally liked everybody. Now, I don't know how that would have changed if I didn't like anybody.

You know, I'd be talking serious trash. Like I'd have to like watch my mouth if they were like rude. So I think production probably got lucky on that one. But the confessionals would have been gold. Oh, brutal. Brutal, but gold. Brutal but gold. Exactly.

Brutal but gold. So, Amy, you have you have a child. Yes. 19-year-old son. Did he follow in your footsteps? No, my son went to trade school. Graduated last year, he's a carpenter. Oh, a carpenter.

Okay, okay. Yeah. Never got, I mean, he's only 19. I mean, I'm a fourth generation police officer. I don't know if he'll ever, on the other side of the family is firefighters. So he's still young, you know, trying to figure it out, you know. I would imagine he's maybe feeling a little pressure to continue that profession.

Well, I don't know. I don't want him to go in the profession. I want him to do what he wants. I mean, he loves working with his hands. But obviously, the fire department, a lot of the tradesmen work in the fight department when they're off. They do that. So I'll support him wherever he does. But no way am I forcing him to do something because of tradition.

See, I thought, Tiber, you were asking, is Amy pushing her son to go on Survivor? you'll never make it why not Amy that's just what somebody said to you you've never made it no no no I know somebody said it to me but I know how to suck it up you know what I mean the generation of kids now oh he won't make it on the show

yeah no I mean imagine he won't make it on the show or he can't make it through the show no he you know kids nowadays are like you know everything's well I got to work today you know You know, the guy gave me a lot, like, complaining. I'm like, kids, suck it up. I don't think, I don't know if he, I don't think he'd ever make it. Yeah.

I don't know. But he's handsy, though, and he gets along with people. But it's no joke. I was wondering since you're in the comedy world now, who is your favorite comedian past and present? Oh, okay. I like George Collin. Mm-hmm.

I like the old school guys, like Jonathan Winters. Yep. you know, Richard Pryor. That's, you know, after that. And then nowadays, I like Bill Blur. I like, I like Leslie Jones from Saturday Night Live. She cracks me up. Yeah.

I love her. But there's so many good comedians. I mean, I'll watch Sebastian. Sebastian just reminds you of me sometimes hanging out with people, right? It's only, it's like a little different. He talks about family. Who else, though? There's probably a few.

I mean, I mean, Nikki Glaze is doing really well. Sure. Her career is on the rise. But, I mean, I love people from Saturday Night Live. I mean, who doesn't, you know? Yeah. I was wondering, Amy, it sounds like from where Tiberd was saying you were working as a police officer, do you ever go buy Luigi's Pizza and see, yeah, as you see Justin?

I know Justin. Yeah. Yes, as a matter of fact. Revere, that's where Luigi's is, right? That's right. And that's where I was born and raised. I've known his family for 30 years. Wow.

Right. And so as a matter of fact, I think Justin called me. And he asked me about the interview process and the auditioning process and then the interview process. And we had a conversation and then I never heard from him. And then it comes out that he was on Survivor. I went to his premiere too. Yeah. Yeah, I went to his premiere.

He's from a great, great family. He's a good kid. Yeah. Yeah. Real good. And I've been to a couple of survivor events there. Yeah. Yeah.

Great. Yeah, he's a nice guy. Oh, he's a sweetheart. Yeah, and great pizza at Luigi's too. The best. And he got school with a little bit of that twist. Yeah, yeah. That sucked.

Got a real deal. Don't you hate those twists? That sucks. Yeah, it's tough. I know. Yeah. I know. Do you watch any other reality shows, Amy?

Um, the last, well, the last stuff I started watching was traders. Okay. I enjoyed, you know, somebody said you should watch it. And I started watching a few seasons. and I like it. I just don't know how realistic it is, but it's in Scotland. And, you know, I was,

Scotland was in Boston here for the World Cup that's not. Oh, yeah. And so I would love to get there. I'd like to experience that. I just, you know. So, Amy, what do you mean? Because we got Rob here.

What do you mean you're not sure how realistic it is? And ask Rob because Rob knows. Yeah, I mean, you know, so you mentioned, you know, I wouldn't say too much to the producer. again because they could start using your information.

They get it out somehow. I'm afraid they leak it out. But is it real? Like, is it that? It's like alliances. You know, are you there all the time, you know? So you're, well, you're not really supposed to say, but no, you that you don't stay at the castle. That's, that's a big thing.

But in terms of like what you're going to say to the producers or not, you know, you have to like bring all the stuff. up at the roundtable. So I guess you could sort of keep stuff and not say it to them. But I think that they want there to be a lot of drama at the roundtable. Yeah. And I think people are afraid to speak up at the roundtable because then you'll be targeted. So I think what you have to do is indirectly have somebody else do it, but not let them know you're indirectly doing it.

Yeah. It's really hard to play as a faithful because, you know, you do too good and you end up getting taken out. And if you don't do anything, then nobody sees you on the show. And you're sort of like you're there, but you're not in the show. So it's a tough tightrope to walk as a faithful. Right. And, you know, when I watch it, you know, I, you know, when some, like a lot, a lot of times,

you'll see people, are you a traitor? The way they answer, it's, they give indications that they are a traitor just the way they answer. But you're right. It's the trader has the upper hand, you know, I think it would be interesting to pay a traitor, it's opposite of how I play in life. So it'd be challenging, but, you know, it's just a very interesting game. And I don't know, how is the host?

The host seems pretty cool. He seems nice. Yeah, I don't think he's around too much. Yeah. He comes in. What do you make? He seems nice. You were fair with him.

Well, first of all, I wasn't there that long. And second, you know, it's sort of like, you know, in Survivor where it's like, okay, here's Jeff at the challenge. you're not really hanging out with him a lot. Yeah. Right. You know, it's not like he's just like, is in another room in the castle. He like comes out and says his thing and then leaves.

Right. You know what, though? I do find it, you know, the season, I mean, obviously Ceree played traders. And, you know, obviously he has the ability to get people on her side. But at the end when she took it her, you know what I'm saying? Sure. Is that hard to do? I don't know if I could do that.

That's like, you have to say this is a game. This is a game. This is a game. This is a game over in your head. But I felt so bad for the face, like the girl that, oh my God, the drama. The drama on that one. So Amy, Sammy, I love that you're bringing this up because it looks like to me, I always say that playing Survivor, you play the way you live your life.

I think that way. And so when I watched that, I thought, God, that would be so tough people who are feeling like they're such a strong connection. and I was just sick for them. So it looks like I was thinking that this game, Traders, to me, looks more emotionally difficult than Survivor, which I thought was the worst part of Survivor is the emotional part. What do you think, Rob?

It looks like Traders would be even more difficult, even though it's a shorter time. Yeah, I think it is probably more emotionally difficult because I think with Survivor, especially now with the final three, it's sort of like, okay, well, I'm going to take my best buddies to the final three. and maybe you might have to really backstab. I love this person. They're trusting me, but I don't think I can beat them.

And so you might have to do that to one person. Whereas if you're in the traders, there's probably like three or four people you have really good connections with. Then eventually you have to either trick them all the way to the end or take them out of the game. So it probably is harder to be a trader and go all the way to the end.

Right. I mean, the guy there, who's that the kid the, the farmer there? Rob? The other Rob. The other Rob. That's what they call him the other Rob. Yeah, he did.

He did well. Yeah. He was very good. He did well. I mean, plus everything, it's a little luck. You got to take risks. It's a little bit of luck. But like he, at the end, he went alone too and didn't take the girl at the end either.

Yeah. Oh, my God. Like that was devastating to watch the faith. Traders is like you sit around. I was like, oh my God. I was like, ah. Every freaking roundtable, I'm like, oh, my God. It was like, it was the first time I got excited about watching another reality show, you know.

Did you need Titos? Did you need Tito's to watch it? I did. Yeah. Oh, you mean. Rob did it. I needed a lot. Yeah.

Can you drink there? Can you actually drink? You can have a drink. They don't let you drink too much. We can have a drink. Right. Yeah, I'll tell you the person who was there was like the person who, only person that was ordering any drinks was the other.

Rob. I was like, boy, this guy's not even taking it seriously. He's like, hey, can you another vodka? Like, can I get some Morios over here? I'm like, this guy. Like, come on, come on, man. Be let's be serious. I know. There's a lot of people that just back over and over and over, right? It's just a lot. Yeah. I mean, I don't mind a couple of times, but over and over, you know, I mean, if Ceri comes back again, you think she's going to, you know, like, you got to know by now. I think she's got it this next time. Yeah. This is going to be it.

Amy, this is going to be it. I wanted to ask you really quickly. You had a video go viral here recently. Yes, she did. Yeah. Tell Rob about it. What did you do? Well, I'm on social media, right?

That's the other thing I do is I'm constantly putting out videos to gain followers, and it helps, you know, if I'm going to do a comedy show to get it out there. But I went into Boston because Scotland was in town, All my friends were saying, oh, my God, there's so much fun. You got to get in here. And I ended up going into Boston, and I had an incredible time with the Tatun Army, right? And I ended up doing a video, you know, one is a joke about the Tatan Army. And then I did one just talking about, you know, being in Boston and the vibe and how it brings a sense of community.

And a few of those videos, like one of them is like almost 700,000 views. And so I have some others like 300,000 views. And so I looked at my analytics on Facebook. and it's like United Kingdom is like more than half of my fans. Wow. You know, so Scott, well, well, the trade is now, traders, traders, trade is come out and play. I have a fan base in Scotland. Where do you put these videos?

They're all over me. Okay. So, you know, so it was just, it was just incredible. And so now when I post a video, it gets a lot of views. You know, I've gained some followers. Yeah. And I love doing creative. Is this never try to outdrank the Tartan Army?

Is that your video? Yeah, that's one of them. And then there's another one I think, well, I'm just talking about, I'm just talking to people about the vibe in Boston with Scott and the Tartan Army because they were like incredible people. Yeah, they drank Boston dry in two days. That's what I heard. That's what I heard.

Right. But they were also in the terrible contributions. They cleaning up after themselves. And everybody was good there. But they were just around playing bag pipes and, you know, I'm retired. I'm like, you know what? Let me go check it out. Okay.

I really hope she'll add it to her stand-up, routine because she hasn't done it that I've heard she's not done anything survivor and I think people are so fascinated with survivor it would be a huge I mean she's too busy with the tatton army she's she's funny she's good her time is good so yeah Tipper what about you would you ever do

stand-up comedy I don't think that would no I wouldn't be good at stand-up comedy because if I think I've said something funny, then I'll say it again, and then I'll be laughing. That's what the end of comedy is. You're not supposed to be laughing. The next night. Yeah, you're not supposed to be laughing at your own stuff. And so that probably what about you?

I could see you doing it, Rob. After I did Survivor, the Amazon, I tried to do it. I would have a hard time trying to remember everything. I think that I would like that I struggled with, okay, I'm going to like do the same thing. and memorize exactly how to say it and say it the same way night after night. I like what I get to do now where I get to say all different things. Yeah, well, you're great at what you do now.

But don't you think if you're a comedian, I mean, I know they repeat a lot of their stuff, but don't you think kind of ad-lib and just kind of off the top? True they ad-lib. And as you do it, I guess the longer you do it, you get like that. Yeah. It's a lot of hard work. Yeah. Wait a minute, did you talk about Survivor in your standout? I did, but the problem was, you know, you go to a comedy club.

These are random people. They didn't necessarily. So if I wanted to talk about like very specific things from Survivor, I think that you have to assume in a stand-up comedy situation, the people who are there know the concept of what Survivor is. They know it's a show where people go to an island and you get voted off. And that's kind of like all you have. So you could tell like a very specific story, but it's not necessarily like if you want to like try to make jokes about like specific things that happened on Survivor. I don't think they necessarily have that frame of reference. Right.

Did you have many hecklers? Oh, I should have asked Amy about hecklers. I forgot about that. Yes. You did? Yes. How would you respond to that? Not well.

It would really throw me off. Maybe I would be better at it now. but I really, I struggled in one time that your friend in mine, Ethan Zon, had me go to Hofstra University and they had like a few different survivor things and they had a stand-up comedian and they asked me to do like an opener for the comedian that they had. And one of the things that happened and I hope that I am telling this story with the appropriate sensitivities was that they told me that one of the students in the freshman

class had Tourette's syndrome. And so I was like, okay, that's fine. And then in the midst of like me trying to tell jokes that this student was just like yelling things at me, where I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to be insensitive. And like, because really it's like you have a heckler. And then they sort of like put that person in their place. But they warned me that the student was somebody with Tourette's syndrome. So it was a very uncomfortable situation for me, the very green stand-up comedian of how do I respond to the person who's yelling things out from the audience that.

is, you know, getting, like, I just ignored it. And that's, I don't think that was the right thing to do. Well, you can't make this stuff up, Rob. No. So that's, that's a, that's a story. That's a good story. It's a good story. I don't want to say much more about it.

Yeah. I wish I'd asked Amy that. I can't even imagine. I didn't know what to do. Okay. But I do know. I'm sure if you've got your lines memorized, I can see where that might throw you off your, you know.
