Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. Here is the Radcast News. Friday, September 2nd, 2022, our weekly marketing, advertising, business, world news. Christina Yossi. I am very caffeinated. Yes. Very caffeinated today.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Oh, you are. Yes. I might be a little under caffeinated. I'll make up for it. I'm usually like two energy drinks in. Look, I can cease down right now. I'm buzzing. Yes.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Happy September. Same to you. Here we are now. I know. I know we kind of joke about the dates, but I think it's a natural human thing. I think everybody kind of like watches the calendar and it like moves fast. I mean, some people might go, why do they always talk about the time? But it's like it just moves.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Well, and the older you get, it goes by even quicker. You're so old. I know. I'm too old for Leo DiCaprio. Clearly. Not 25 anymore. Yes. That's good.
Starting point is 00:00:58 setup right there. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Teat up, you know. So the memes are going crazy. The memes are strong and they're very funny. Yeah. Means are strong in this one. Yeah. So for those who don't know, Leo DiCaprio will only date women who are 25 and younger, which is now almost double his age.
Starting point is 00:01:19 I don't think... If you're listening, I'm just playing into this. It's all a roll. It's all a ruse. I don't be grudge the age difference, but I do think it's just odd enough. Yeah, it's a little interesting. It's coincidental. Quite a trend. It is a trend.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I mean, but, you know, like, he's kind of the rock star of movie stars a little bit. Right. And he's been in the industry so long. Like, okay. I mean, I don't know. And, like, these women are dating him consensually. It's not like, you know, there are no. And it doesn't seem to be a jerk.
Starting point is 00:01:51 No. It never comes out. Like, he dates them for a number of years. It's not like he's serial dating 12 of them at once. Right. All the same year. He's a serial. real monogamous just another 25. It's just a very funny trend. Yeah, it is. And the memes are
Starting point is 00:02:08 coming for it. They are. Which is great. It's too bad. You're just out of his reach now. Right. Right. Rats. Yeah. Way too old for him. Unbelievable. Nick, what do you think about old Leah? Some people have a lot of time on their hands. What, keeping up with the, the trend. Yeah, you should see this chart. It's crazy. Right? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Maminging it up. Old, you like, Leonardo. Yeah. I think he's grown on me over the years. I kind of hated him 20 years ago.
Starting point is 00:02:36 When he was 25, it's kind of annoying. Sure. Like, but then the movies got better and he got better. What's eating Gilbert grape is really good. Yeah, he was good in that. Devastated. That was one of his best young performances. I was kind of annoyed by some of the other stuff.
Starting point is 00:02:50 But then like, is it departed? Yeah. He was in? Yeah. Okay. And then catch me if you can. Like, there's some stuff. He's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:02:59 He's pretty good. Titanic, of course. Yeah, that was kind of annoying. Wolf of Wall Street, I think, is his best performance. Oh, yes. Personally. Oh, God. Him and Matthew McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Yeah. Just great. What a film? Yes, very good. I'm going to not do it a little. You know I'm talking about it. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:25 It's college football season. It is. Hey, can't go too far without that. Go tigers. I'm watching a lot of games this week. And my boys listening on the D line there at Clemson. Ready to take over. You play Monday, Georgia Tech.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I don't want to come back next week like bawling. Only favorite by 21. You guys got this. Not ball in. Yes, I know. My man, Miles Murphy, Tyler Davis, Brian Breezy. We love a name drop. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:52 I'm going to post something today with some of my photos with these guys. There you go. I have my orange shoes on today. Hey. My orange earrings. I've got my customer. some rad cast radical Air Jordan ones.
Starting point is 00:04:04 We nailed it with the shoes today. Hey, that's a good color combo, actually, orange in there. Just like that. Look at, look. Complementary. Oh, yeah. Combo colors right there.
Starting point is 00:04:14 That's what I'm talking about. Look at us. All you coach college football fans kicking off, it's week one. So you're either going to be loving it or drowning in sorrow comes Sunday or Monday or whatever. Here for it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:27 A lot of good games, actually. Ohio State, Notre Dame. Yeah. Florida State, LSU, Clemson, Georgia, Tech. That's not really a good guy. It's a good game if you're a Clemson fan. Right. Or maybe a Georgia Tech.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I don't know if it's a good game for your Georgia Tech. I don't know. We're going to be the shit out of them. But the rambling wreck is going to be wrecking, Nick. You know what I'm talking about. Yep. It's going to be wrecking. Nick and I are Clemson graduates.
Starting point is 00:04:52 You know, proud. Alums. Amma, my, my, my. I think you never say that. Amamata. That's it. That's it. Very nice.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Very good. Go than ever. Very good. How do you think Clemson is going to do this year, Nick? I think they're going to do well. National title aspirations or just second tier? Potentially. You know, there's always, you know, it's Clemson.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It's Clemson. It's always do something. That's right. Speaking of doing something, someone. That's a great segue. That I've really always admired from a marketing perspective. I mean this and actually a music perspective being a country music. And personal.
Starting point is 00:05:30 She's wonderful. She's wonderful and always been fascinated by certain aspects of her. Dolly Parton is coming out with a new line of pet costumes. Yes. And wigs for animals, dogs in particular. It's called Doggy Parton. Ah. What else would you call this?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yes, Doggy Parton. In partnership with sports pet designs, the singer-songwriter, actress and author, and roller coaster creator. Yes. Bolly World, you know what I'm talking about, launched her new line of dog apparel and accessories, complete with dog shirts, dresses, squeaky toys, and other fine accessories.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Doggy pardon. What do you think about this? I'm here for it. Yeah. I'm totally here for it. I'm going to get a headline for her. I'm sure you do. Please, Mr. Marketing Man.
Starting point is 00:06:27 How would you market this? It's the headline for the website. Doggy style There it is There it is Brought to you by a doggy pardon Oh yeah Perfect prime
Starting point is 00:06:38 Dolly Yeah I think it's great I mean Who doesn't love a double entendre A little innuendo Never out of style Not when it's doggy style
Starting point is 00:06:52 That's right There it is Yes So let us know I'd let to know Give some comments What you think of If you're going to buy
Starting point is 00:06:58 Any of your pants Pets excuse me, your pets. You do radcast pet swag. Yes. I mean, the wig, if the dog had on, it was just like ridiculous. It's so good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:07:14 The bandana, okay, I get the bandana. Sure, some of that stuff. Okay, I get the bandana. But they had a cowboy hat. A little cowboy hat on like a chihuahua or something. It's so cute. Smack that thing. I never hit animals.
Starting point is 00:07:27 It's about the hat. Right. Sure, sure. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Yes. So, you know, just in time for Christmas.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Just in time. All the doggy style you could ever want. Halloween. Yeah. Speaking of fun things. Apparel. Moving on. Carol.

This isn't a thousand people jamming at a ballroom at the hotel getting pumped up and then doing nothing. You actually have to apply because we've got the demand is there it's very exclusive it's at a castle how we pee how are pains growing this my good buddy and um this is a real deal i get invited to a lot of events this is the one event i'm doing this year uh nicholas and i will be there doing a radcast on the road more details to come on that we're kind of fleshing out all of what's going to come out of that

He's one of the best follows on Instagram just speaks his mind and gets paid for it. Go figure out. here. The dream, right? Honesty will set you free. But we really appreciate Kyle sending us all the autographed books. We had, I think, over 100 entries when it was all added together across all the messages. So sorry, we don't.
Starting point is 00:11:40 We'll get more from Kyle. Kyle will hook us up. We'll get more if we need them. And we're going to do some giveaways for the merch here soon. So be on the lookout for that for sure. Hopefully you checked out. Speaking of Howard Pee, Howard Pee, Howard Paine's. His episode launched this week.
Starting point is 00:11:56 We've had, I think, 5,000 dollars. I'm going to be ridiculous this week already. It's been a lot adding up all the impressions on social media and on our downloads. So that's been popular hearing Howie P's story, how he became. You know, he doesn't call himself a billionaire sort of, but he, let's just be honest by it. There's no wink-wink about it. You don't start think billions unless you're a billionaire and Howie P's the most down-to-earth billionaire you ever meet. Super good dude and a great story.
Starting point is 00:12:27 You should check that out. Go to our latest guest episode from last week or this week, excuse me, and check out how we pee. Next week, we're doing a re-release. We have so many, you know, the show's grown a lot in the last three years. And we've got, like, we've had some solid guests for like three years. And some of these episodes, they just get down because we have like 300, almost 300 episodes now. Right. And some of them get pushed down.
Starting point is 00:12:52 And I'm going back and kind of like listening to some. And they're all my babies, but some that I feel like are really insightful. And this is a multi-billion dollar brand itself. Whoop, the most sophisticated fitness tracker in the world. Will Ahmed, the CEO of Whoop, had like a $3.4 billion valuation a few months ago. So Will's awesome. Super helpful, super insightful. And I know this episode was like two years ago.
Starting point is 00:13:23 but our audience is grown. So I think it's a good one to re-release while we're getting a few other scheduled and moved out throughout the calendar. So be on the lookout for that on Tuesday. Will Ahmed with W-H-O-O-P, the founder and CEO, and a great dude. Check that out on September 6th, the day after Labor Day. Yes. So when you're all hungover, you know, and you're kind of like dragging.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Will will pump you up because you go, damn. Download that episode. Get you a billion-dollar company going. Check it out next week. I know we've got some social holidays. We do. They're a little bit lean this week, but September 4th is National Wildlife Day.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Hey. So exciting. Yeah. It's not. It's point. You know what that made me think of not national. Hey, we should support our wildlife.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Absolutely. I support wildlife. The, it may be, remember, back when I was young, there was wrestling. And there's still wrestling.
Starting point is 00:14:24 There was the WWF is what it was called. And it was so funny because that was all, I grew up, World Wrestling Federation. It's the WWE today. Yeah. There's a story behind that. And I don't know the Wildlife Day thing made because the National Wildlife Fund, or excuse me, the World Wildlife Fund, World Wildlife Fund, WWF had the trademark. And the WWF had been around.
Starting point is 00:14:50 It wasn't as big as it is today, but it was huge. And it was a huge deal. They had to change their name. They didn't want to change their name. It was like fight over the trademark. Interesting. Ultimately, the World Wildlife Fund won out. The Animals won.
Starting point is 00:15:04 The Animals won. I don't know. National Wildlife Day, may you think of that. September 5th. Labor Day here in the States. Yep. Got to work for it, people. Yep.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Don't work for it on Labor Day. Don't work on it. Work for it. Yes. There does. Look hard today and tomorrow. and Sunday and then you can enjoy the long weekend. Get some shopping done.
Starting point is 00:15:28 There we go. Hallelujah. Lots of discounts. And then when you're hungover, read a book day. Yes. September 6th. Yes. I've got a new book.
Starting point is 00:15:35 I'm going to be reading. I'll tell you about it next week. Exciting. Yes. But read a book day is the sixth. Yes. And then the ninth is official start. It's a kickoff for NFL.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yeah. Which doesn't really make sense of this kind of started already, but whatever. I know. I think it's because of NFL bias. That it's a big season for advertising. Yeah. Oh, good God. Be ready for beer commercials.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Pizza. Speaking of pizza, I don't know if it's in our thing. It's a little Caesar article in here. You should be. Okay. All right. I'll save it.
Starting point is 00:16:07 It is. It is. I didn't get that far in our show notes. But I'll save it. New sponsor for the NFL pizza. Well, sort of named it, but we'll get to that. We'll circle back to it. Circle back.
Starting point is 00:16:17 There are your social. media holidays that you just can't miss. Got to celebrate them. First on our list here. Yeah. Getting real. Social media news. Be real.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Rises the 10 million daily active users. This comes to us from social media today.com. It said it's interesting to note the growth of the app and the popularity of its real-life approach, which shows that people may well have had enough of unrealistic depictions of people's chosen persona. and image online. I mean, it's kind of making a leap. I mean, as a classical researcher, like, how do the fuck do you know that's what's happening?
Starting point is 00:16:58 How do you know that it's just not other app? Right. I'm interested to see how... Unless there's a survey behind this on... Right. You're... What is it when you're adding conjecture to something that you don't necessarily have proof of? Sure.
Starting point is 00:17:11 But just assuming. Yeah. I'm interested to see how this one's going to age, if it's going to last or if it will be another vine until Instagram comes up with Candid. I'm telling you. I'm putting my hat on. I don't know if it's a year. 18 months, it's disappeared.
Starting point is 00:17:28 It's, it might get absorbed by one of the bigger ones. Instagram already launched it. Maybe one of them buys it, maybe. Yeah. But be real in its current form. If it still exists and it's, let's, if it's growing like this, then it should be 100 million in a year. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:45 I'm going to go on record and say it won't be. Stay tuned. We'll say if I'm right or wrong. My tracker is pretty good because I'm not really a fortune teller, but when I, my gut tells me something. But you know how it works. It's one doesn't feel like it's going to last. What else we got here? Some Instagram news.
Starting point is 00:18:01 A new report shows that reels are generating the most reach on Instagram, but the most commonly posted types of content are still photos at 42%. Carousels, which are, you know, multiple photos at one time are 26% and then reels. but reels have the most outreach. This is what I would call a self-fulfilling prophecy. When you want a certain, when you own platform and you're being kind of slapped around or you feel like you're being slapped around by another platform, that being TikTok, you're going to probably give precedence and reach because they control the organic reach. It's like Facebook in 2011, they shut down, like that everybody saw your posts.
Starting point is 00:18:43 They can control that. and the algorithm. So I have no idea if they're doing that, but I would just assume that it has the best reach because Instagram wanted to have the best reach to get you to post more of those. Oh, 100%. 100%.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I think they've backed off, like, completely bailing on the photos and the carousels completely. Yeah. But they want the videos to rise up. They want people creating more videos. Oh, absolutely. And my, like, it's, I mean, my stupid little cat account,
Starting point is 00:19:14 his reels get thousands and thousands of views. And he's a really interesting cyclical thing where if you think about it, because we are the free, imagine like NBC or Netflix, they have to pay billions of dollars for content to be created for them, like Game of Thrones, all that stuff. Instagram and TikTok have free content creators. All their programming gets created for free by us, by people. It's why the business model is so brilliant.
Starting point is 00:19:47 It's, you know, because people come there to view the content, just like they watch a show. But we're free. And yes, we don't pay for it either. So we, it's shared attention. They get, they get followers. They get attention. Right, right. They sell ads.
Starting point is 00:20:00 We get free awareness. Air quotes free. Anyway, interesting dynamic. Very lucrative. Yeah. We'll see. I got a problem with reels growing. But no.
Starting point is 00:20:13 I still like a photo. I still want to see, like, my friends. Like some stats. Sometimes I get a little fatigued, quite frankly. Like, I wouldn't mind having, like, a button for a photo feed. Yeah. To be able to only do one or the other. I don't have to, like, I'm just kind of because I'm obviously following a lot of
Starting point is 00:20:30 the same people because the shit on my feed on the reels is like the same shit. I'm like, okay, somebody come coach trying to teach me something. And I'm like, you know. You get burnt out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Wax on, wax on. I get it. You know?
Starting point is 00:20:45 Yeah. Give it a rest. Come back to it. But a little photo. Okay. Yeah. This is nice. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And I don't know. A respite. I mean, I got to get through this episode because I got to get my real poster. I mean, but you know. Right. Right. Nick and I are about doing some badass shit. I posted one of Nick's videos today.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Yeah. Workout video we did like 18 years ago. And some of a different tattoo. I noticed. Yeah. It's grown a little. The, the, yeah, and it was a badass video. I hadn't posted it in like two years, but we're about to do some new shit.
Starting point is 00:21:21 There you go. All right. And it's going to be a real. It's got to be. Real real. Because we want some good reach. So TikTok test a new nearby content feed, which could become a major consideration for brands. As it sounds, TikTok's nearby feed displays content posted by users in your current.
Starting point is 00:21:42 location that can enable TikTok to showcase locally relevant updates which relate to your interest. So again, which makes sense if you're near a store or amazing for travel. Yeah. I think this is great. Yeah. You're seeing first semester of college. You don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Tip talk of like how to get around the town and the best restaurants. Exactly. Sponsored by the restaurants. They're on the list. Foutiques shopping. Mm-hmm. Brought to you by social media today. Yeah, this is cool.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I mean, I kind of thought this sort of happened anyway, because I get, and I don't know this is random, but like, I get a bunch of Greenville or local South Carolina stuff in my feed. But I don't think it's like, there's not a separate button for it to like consolidate all of it. I think that they're testing out organizing all of it in one place. Yeah. You've been digging into TikTok much? Not too much, but it should be interesting to see the nearby feature. Yeah. We'll see. We'll see. Sounds cool.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Good stuff. What's next here? On to our football. Yes. Football advertising. Bud Light helps football fans cover beer costs to celebrate NFL's return. Bud Light is heralding the return of professional football with a kickoff beers campaign centered on cracking open the first can on game day. Hallelujah. Right?
Starting point is 00:23:05 I'm like a cold beer. Bud Light is also reimbursing beer costs for the first 50 fans who tweet their cash app. at its Twitter account with the hashtag hashtag kickoff beers and sweepstakes ahead of kickoff each Sunday this season. Alleluia. This is amazing. Alleluia. Just pay for my beer, baby.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Right? You know? That's up like next starts adding up like $16 a 12 pack, you know? Like I'm good for like four of those a weekend. Like it's kind of like. Tis the damn season. Tis the season. Those things are so light too on the summer and they out in the boat and like I don't
Starting point is 00:23:39 like picking those things out of the cooler on a Saturday and I'm like 14 in and I'm like feeling nothing. Maybe not 14. Nothing but relaxation. At least 12 because the 12s are gone. Sure. By about 4.30 in the afternoon. And they just go down like water.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Yeah. Refreshing. And they don't like it's, I think I could probably drink 50 of them and be totally. Yeah. Oh, totally buzzed. I don't hear wrong. I'm not like, you know. Right.
Starting point is 00:24:08 But like I don't. think I'd ever, like you know, you drink liquor or something, you can get over the mountain pretty quickly, you know? Yes, you can. You know, like, it's falling right off. Like, the first thing you, hey, I'm at the peak and oh, I'm at the bottom. Yep. You know, like pretty quick on some liquor.
Starting point is 00:24:21 But most like beer and this kind of, I don't know. I feel like I get to a peak of a buzz with it, but I don't think. Yeah, you can sustain it. Yeah. But, you know, which is sort of dangerous. It's a summertime people. But you can get it paid for us. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Yeah. Yeah. We need to put in some bucks here. Yeah, there you go. Especially if they could at least sponsors, if we're not going to at least get. Start hashtagging on all of our posts. I do like this, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Kick off beers campaign. I mean, what's more synonymous? Americana. Yeah, Americana. Then beer and pizza. And especially, like, a lot of this is happening because we are two years after this insane lockdown. And we're all together again. And so brands are really selling commuter.
Starting point is 00:25:08 community, you know. I got to remember to tweet my cash app there. I've tweeted my Venmo before. Didn't work. It's more of my thing. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Venmo and Apple pay. But like my iPhone offs like puts more apps now than it used to. Like apps that I don't use. Oh yeah. Like I don't remember it doing as many as it does now. No, mine's the same way.
Starting point is 00:25:32 I don't use something for like a month like four or five weeks. You got to read download it. I'm like I didn't open it three months ago. a month like, damn. No, mine's the same way. Kind of annoying. I'll wait 10 seconds to use it. I want this app now.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Instant gratification. Yes. All right. Little Cesar's Deepens new NFL deal. They are the official pizza provider of the NFL. Congratulations to them. I want to give them a real good hot sauce. Well done, Caesar.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Yeah. Little Cesar's in June took over from Pizza Hut and became an official sponsor of the NFL with just 10 days until the season kicks off the pizza chain, which builds itself as the third largest in the world, has detailed the elements of its multi-year partnership. There's some new spots with Matthew Stafford. Check those out. Pretty fun. The, you know, like, there's something throwing me off with, like, Little Caesar and a hut.
Starting point is 00:26:30 You know, Pizza Hut? Oh, yeah. It could be a really good, like, competitive spot, like, Little, like the Caesar shutting down the hut. Oh, yeah. Ha ha. Look at that. Oh, yeah. See, there's a free idea for you.
Starting point is 00:26:42 It's like with his club or something. It doesn't see like a little seizure guy. Shut the hut. Yeah. Yeah. Little spear. Shut the hut. Pretty good there.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Shut the hut. Thank you. Not bad. Not bad. Learn from the best. Hey. Now you're, now you're just got to raise.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Yeah, too. Perfect. Great. That's the, uh, shallow compliments. All takes. All takes. Oh. And don't be over 25.
Starting point is 00:27:05 This next one I love, but it's involving clothing. So, of course, I do. Heinz drops a ketchup-stained vintage collection to celebrate sustainability. The Heinz vintage drip collection is sourced from the available exclusively on Thread-up, which is like a resale website, and includes 157 streetware and designer pieces that all have a ketchup stain. The vintage collection comes as Genzi and millennial consumers embrace thrifting as a part of their sustainability efforts. I can't talk. All proceeds go to rise against hunger in support of global hunger relief, rounding out the purpose-driven effort.
Starting point is 00:27:44 You know, they really didn't have to come up with this campaign. They could just come raid my shirt drawer and easily find 157 elements of stains on stuff. But is it Heinz? Like, I could probably pass for that. Enough of them. I have at least 47 that are, you know, probably ketchup or mustard stage or who knows what. Like, I am the worst about dropping shit on my clothes. So is my brother.
Starting point is 00:28:08 It's like a running joke. I'm like a little kid. Like, I could be like really paying attention and like, you know, like trying not to do it. And you're still wearing white today. I mean, that's bold. Hey, you know. Tempting fate over here. I know.
Starting point is 00:28:19 But it's not good. Like, I agree stained or something. I'm like, do you always have a tide pen? Do you have to like tide pen? I used to. I actually keep on in the book bag. I don't anymore. Now you just accepted it about yourself.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Yeah. It's not good. You get stains on you, Nick. Yeah, I keep a tide pen. Oh, yeah. We're all wearing white today. Look at us going. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:41 This is fun. I mean, it makes sense. You know, I don't know if I want to wear a stained shirt or not. I've got to see this in action. You know, is it really look like a stain like mine, like really bad and like buried in? They don't look gross. Like I will say it. They don't look, they don't look gross.
Starting point is 00:28:58 I might are good washed in. Yeah. You know. Okay. There we go. Yeah. Kind of like a polo symbol. but staying.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yeah. Like a swoop. That could be like a new, what do you call it? Logo for their lapel. There you go. You know. Yeah. Little pin.
Starting point is 00:29:15 ketchup. Heinz needs to come in. I got mustard too. Heinz mustard. But not, what's the best mustard? French's. That's my favorite. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Yellow mustard. They had the donuts, right? Like the spicy different kinds of spicy mustard. I can taste a difference. Yellow mustard, I don't know if my. how it's discernible. Sure, as refined. Like a spice, the differences in the spice.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Like a Dijon or something, yeah. The layers of how Dijon it gets. Okay, I can pick up on that. But you gave me a blind taste test of like. French is a more than Linn. You wouldn't. Laurelind and, you know, whatever generic brain, like seven generic brands. I don't think I could discern one difference.
Starting point is 00:29:57 No, me either. You know. Me either. I'm dipping corn dogs in it. Right. Oh, I love corn dogs. God. So good.
Starting point is 00:30:04 last one last article Hyundai targets millennials and Gen Z millennials, Gen Z. It's like, what are we targeting here? Zillelinals. Hyundai's marketing campaign across the digital channels sees out a maker
Starting point is 00:30:18 targeting millennial and Gen Z consumers comes as Netflix seeks to work with marketers in advance of the launch of its ad-supported tier. Seoul vibe is set during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and features a car chase making a perfect fit for the South Korean
Starting point is 00:30:34 auto maker. So retro campaign. It's going to be interesting how they brings this to life. It's going to be like once the ad tier launches, are we going to see these in advance of that? Right. Promoting Netflix like on, you know, linear. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because it's coming quickly. That's all. There's going to be like seven bucks for ad supported. Yep. That's what I saw. A little less than half. And when does it kick in? Is that, that's not released yet. By the end of the year. That's what I thought. Or like January one. I don't know. Would you buy the ad support, like, do either one of you buy Netflix? Yeah, I have the normal.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Okay. Yeah. Would you cut, if you pay probably 15, 20 bucks, whatever it is. Would you cut it to seven for the ads? No. I would because I don't, like Netflix is not my go-to. I watch Prime and HBO more. I wouldn't do ad-supported HBO.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I know that's not a thing, but. I think they actually do have an ad-supported HBO now. Yeah. Which I wouldn't, I wouldn't do because I watch. watch HBO enough to where I don't want to deal with that, you know? I can't watch Game of Thrones or like the new Game of Thrones, whatever it's called. And I had House of Dragons. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:31:43 No, it's, it's so I, but I would do it for Netflix because I don't watch Netflix a ton. But that's just me. Yeah, I don't know that one's, once that genies, I can't go back with that. I don't know. It drives me nuts with Hulu, I will say. Because I had, I had like non-ad supported and now I have the ad supported and I get very annoyed, irrationally so. It's going to be interesting for them.
Starting point is 00:32:04 many new people they bring you to the party or how many $15 people cut to seven. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good. That's a good thought. They need new customers and not to lose. I mean, theoretically, they're making up the money with the ad dollars if they do drop down. But I think they want more new, new subscribers.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Right. And my other thought is, are we going to get ad supported? And then they're going to find a way to track all of the account sharing that happens. So you can't share accounts with all of your family members, and that's why you go in with lower subscription, you know? You know what's going to be going now? You know, Bobby shares with me the non-ad-supported version, and you just give me this ad-supported login.
Starting point is 00:32:50 The weirdest thing about like... You're not even coming up. I'm not making you dinner tonight. No, the weirdest thing about, like, breaking up with somebody. I'm all enough I'm talking like a mom. Breaking up with somebody and like in the year of our Lord 2020, whatever, when you have shared... Does this happen to you?
Starting point is 00:33:01 When you have, like, shared accounts... You're going to get social shame based on... Do you have the ad supported? He still uses my Disney Plus, but like I'm using his Netflix. Like, it's a whole thing. That would be, hey, I'm going to give a free idea. And if anyone takes it before me, then you know what, it's caramel on you. I think ad support it is a good T-shirt or hat.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Like saying, like ad-supported. We're all at, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's kind of funny. That's cute. That's cute. Not bad. Not bad.
Starting point is 00:33:32 That's cute. Not terrible, Nick. I'd wear that ad-supported. There you go. I am ad-supported, literally. Right. It's good ad-eansy t-shirt. Good, a little niche.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Those would be kind of fun, like team t-shirts, you know? Yeah, yeah. Strow that away. Yeah, start away. And if anyone takes it before we get to it, then there you go. There's a freebie. Copyright trademark. You want the real good ones, you got to call me and pay for it.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Not the knock-offs. No, even though I do like shut the hut. Thank you. That's a winner. Thank you. If I was Little Caesars, I'd be running that. You're welcome. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:12 That's all for today. That's all we got. You can final words from the dream team here? Go Tigers. Hey. Yeah, I'll second that. Yeah. Tigers do not let us down.
Starting point is 00:34:22 I do not want to cry like a grown man on the air next week. Crack open those beers. We will have, but like next in the room. Yes, yes. And a box of tissues. The keg will be fixed by then. Yes. Oh, well, we appreciate everyone out there that listens.
