Starting point is 00:00:00 This is the story of the one. As a maintenance supervisor at a manufacturing facility, he knows keeping the line up and running is a top priority. That's why he chooses Granger. Because when a drive belt gets damaged, Granger makes it easy to find the exact specs for the replacement product he needs. And next day delivery helps ensure he'll have everything in place and running like clockwork. Call 1-800 Granger, clickgranger.com or just stop by.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Granger, for the ones who get it done. Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. Here is the Radcast News. It's Friday, November 11th, 2022, our weekly marketing business and all kinds of world news. I'm joined today by the wondrous, the marvelous, the spectacular producer of the radcast. Nicholas Weaver, what's up, brother? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:00:58 How y'all doing? Nick for everybody that knows Nick, but, you know, I wanted to, I feel like I needed to give you the full name, you know, Nicholas, something kind of like, I don't know, powerful about Nicholas, you know. I always think like, I don't know, Daddy Warbucks, Nicholas. Yeah, I think my name means victory of the people or something. Hey, you're a man of the people. That's what it is. You get today, brother? Yeah, man, doing good.
Starting point is 00:01:22 It's good to have you. Thanks. You know, we're working through our news episodes. Nick's going to join me from time to time. Ray, who's our director of operations and media here at the agency. We'll get on here. And we might have some special guests every now and then. You never know.
Starting point is 00:01:37 You know, we do whatever the hell we want here, you know? We make up the rules as we go. There are no roads. It might drive dick crazy. It might drive dick crazy. The mind of an entrepreneur, you know. You're figuring it out. You know how it goes.
Starting point is 00:01:53 That's right. Speaking of how it goes, you know, we're in the cozy Radcast studio here. And it's feeling extra cozy now. We've got a little new decor. We've got our wall of fame is what I'd call it. Some of our most known names on the show. Showing off some of those from old Grant Cardone all the way down to Austin Hope. Austin Hope.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Actually, I want to give a shout out to Austin, who's right there. Actually, his winery, Hope Family Winery, are just named Winery of the Year in America. That's some big fucking news. Let me tell you, winery of the year in Paso Robles, it doesn't happen, folks. It's always these Napa names, but Austin's kicking ass, taking names.
Starting point is 00:02:35 He's going to be coming on the show here soon to talk about that. And you know what? We might actually fly out to freaking Paso Robles and do it right in his damn winefield. That's what we need to do. Austin, if you're listening, once you carve out a little spot for us, we're going to go pop some bottles right there.
Starting point is 00:02:51 He better be start making some champagne. But hats off to him. Hey, Hats off to him literally and figuratively. Got our man, my boy, Howie Pee, Howard Paines up there, Bruce Buffer, Marty Smith, the Bachelor, Jesse Palmer. We got everybody in anybody. Of course, the lovely Heidi Montag who's having a baby at any moment. Heidi, if you're listening, you need to go.
Starting point is 00:03:15 She looks ready. Spencer's got to be pumped. Got another child on the way, so congrats to them. But we're excited about our wall of fame that's going to keep growing here on the Radcast. So great job by Nick. with all the art direction there, my man. Thanks a lot. I think they turned out pretty nice.
Starting point is 00:03:32 They did. You man of many talents. You know, we've got a little bit of intro, small talk here. I saw this. It kind of caught my attention. And I always was a friends fan growing up. But Jennifer Anderson had a variety magazine slash online article come out where she said there's no more movie stars. She hates social media.
Starting point is 00:03:56 And I like Jennifer Anderson. This is nothing personal against her. I just found it. It was actually insightful for me because here's the deal. Social media has leveled the playing field for being known. And movie starters don't really love it because, you know, it used to be, they got to be rich and famous and all these things because they were on TV. They were on movies.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And these are the only avenues for really personal brand building. Yeah, it was more exclusive. More exclusive. And now with social media, social media, been around for a long time, so this isn't new. But certain people are just now coming around
Starting point is 00:04:34 to what the opportunity is. And that's for anyone to truly be, quote, unquote, famous. I like to use the word known, actually trademarking the name. It pays to be known. It pays to be known. And I think people haven't embraced this enough.
Starting point is 00:04:52 And that's why I'm super pumped about the coaching that I'm about to launch. Nick and I just, finished filming this. We're in editing phase. It's going to be launching in like two weeks. Personal brand engineering. It is engineering because there's a science.
Starting point is 00:05:05 There's a method to the madness. And this went right in line with that because I think, you know, stars hate it because the playing field's even. And yeah, we can all be annoyed that this TikTok person or personality or the next is suddenly, you know, Insta Famous or whatever. But don't hate the player,
Starting point is 00:05:23 hate the game, you know? So or play the game. And so we're going to teach you how to do that with our coaching that's launching. If you follow me on Instagram, drop me your email. That's the best way to get involved with that. We've got a lot of stuff coming. We're days away from some more official announcements on it. But this really played right into it.
Starting point is 00:05:42 And I'm pretty pumped about it, Nick. Sure did. Yeah. I'm pumped about all the releases for that. We got, uh, and look, keep me honest here, Nick. You know, you were watching, you're listening. it's not 101. It's not YouTube regurgitated.
Starting point is 00:05:58 We got some tricks. We got some tricks up personally. It felt like I didn't know, but it's like I started to kind of outline things and it started coming out. I was like, this is the secret sauce right here. Yeah, I felt like I should be paying just aordinate. Yes, yes, yes. I'll pay you later.
Starting point is 00:06:15 No, but it all seriousness, it did feel that way. And so I hope everybody will check that out. If you're trying to grow your personal brand and look, I got a lot of people, a lot of people that follow the people I trust that hate the word personal brand. I don't love it either. But here's what it is. People understand it when I say it. You got to amplify your knowledge.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Amplify your point of view. You got to be, get it out there. And so, and yes, you need a point of view and not just you and standing in front of a BMW going, I'm cool. That shit isn't valuable. But everyone has a story you told and social media gives you the avenue to tell it. And I'm going to show you how to get known and get it out there. Pays to be known. It pays to be known.
Starting point is 00:06:53 known. Speaking of me and pays to be known, Elon Musk knows that game himself. Mr. Elon. He's been laying out the plans for Twitter pretty actively trying to get those advertisers, not scared. He did a webinar this week where he launched or announced. We're doing payment processing. He was one of the co-founders of PayPal, actually. That's right. So, and leaning into video. So he wants to take on all players in social media. He doesn't want to keep it just about the tweet. It's going to be all about the deets and it's going to be. I'm excited for leaning into video. Yeah. I think it'll be cool. I want to see where Elon takes it. Like, I don't know. Like, again, I don't agree with everything the guy says, but I do like the innovation that he tends to
Starting point is 00:07:40 bring to everything. Yeah, that's right. He wants to go further and do the things that people aren't willing to take on. Yeah, exactly. And so I don't like people getting fired, but like if they truly had that much fluff and they had a and they're not making money then you got to you're allowed to make changes because you're not publicly held anymore you own it. That's right. So again, I think there's still an opportunity on Twitter. We're going to talk about that a little bit in our social media news. And speaking of news, Radcast News, if you didn't listen, Michael Newell was on the episode this
Starting point is 00:08:16 week, an undiscovered unknown. It's out there in plain view, but a really. great investment opportunity that people don't think about with real estate. I'm going to tease it a little bit because I want you to go to watch it because Michael was really insightful, super down to earth, a great guy and he's killing it. Net worth almost like $100 million and you wouldn't know it. And literally broke it down for how to take advantage of this undeveloped real estate opportunity. And it's not where you think and the data sort of lies.
Starting point is 00:08:48 So you need to go check it out. Michael was great. But next week, my good friend, I'm becoming buddies with this guy. I really love this guy. He's the most down-to-earth, like, successful entrepreneur that I feel like I've gotten to know to this level. Chris Hanson, who I met and was lucky enough to meet through my man, Howie Pee at Think Billions. It's going to be the first of many Think Billions releases we have.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Short episode 2025 Minutes. Chris is a co-founder and partner for several companies, including Genesis Reference Labs. VayK, which is a CBD company, the refinery med spa and boss blood kennels, and we might just be partnering on what's going to be the biggest, baddest, coolest lab-grown diamonds venture in the U.S. So excited about that. Yeah, I'm excited about that one too. Yeah, it's going to be fun.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And I'm going to get on the ground floor. But Chris is awesome. You're going to love his personality. You need to listen. And I know you'll get a lot of value from that. I did. And just be blessed to know him. He's a good guy, really good guy.
Starting point is 00:09:51 That's right. I mean, you were there, Nick, and we were out in Palm Desert at Howie Peas. That's right. So, I mean, didn't you think Chris was just like so even killed? Yeah, so down to earth. Yeah. Super good guy. Looking forward to working with him.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Yeah. So we're excited about that. That launches next week. That's Tuesday on all the normal channels, including our video channels, Instagram and YouTube, where we're now doing a 10-minute episode. So I want to make sure we plug that. If you want to watch the short and condensed version, 10-minute episodes on Instagram,
Starting point is 00:10:28 now available for all of our shows the last few months and moving forward. So trying to meet people where they are. We don't all have 40 minutes, 50 minutes sometimes, but you want to watch something condensed. We're really enjoying that format. Get the condensed version, value-packed. There you go. Speaking of Value Pact, our sponsor,
Starting point is 00:10:48 As always, branded bills, branded bills.com. Got all your hats, sweatshirts, hoodies, beanies, everything great. I'm normally rocking it. No hat today. I had a client meeting, you know, so trying to keep the do going. You know, I'm talking about Nick. Nick's got the best do in business over there. He's got the best flow.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Nick's hair is legit. You need to watch that 10, 10 minute. Actually, it's full episode on the news of this. You need to check it out just to see Nick's, hair. He's got a... You see it laughing in person right now. He's got more product than Amazon on that thing, but it is good.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah. That's right. But yes, branded bills, branded bills.com. Check out all the merchandise. We've got our lovely hats. We've got dimensional hats, trucker hats, flat bills, curved bills. They made the best hats in the business and my favorite.
Starting point is 00:11:39 If you go to the radcast.com, you click on sponsors, you click on branded bills. It'll take you straight to their website. You get 20% off automatically. You can do custom things. like we did with the Radcast, or they've got some amazing, cool, trendy designs that will make you look great for the holiday season. It's time for a hoodie. I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Ours are coming in any day now. And I'll be rocking that thing in here. I can tell you that right now. So give them a shout out. Tell them the Radcast sent you. Our good friends, our official merchandise sponsor, branded bills, brand of bills. Brandedbills.com. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:13 And I will mention, if you want to be a sponsor of the show, we do have a vetting process. So reach out to us. You can always hit me on Instagram or you can hit us through the website at Radcast.com. If you're interested in partnership. And we do partnerships. We don't sell ads. We do partnerships. So reach out if you're interested.
Starting point is 00:12:32 We've got some exciting partners actually coming down the road. Speaking of coming down the road, we've got lots of lots. We got like four key social holidays. And this first one, we have a good time on the Radcast. We like to kid about certain things, but we're not going to kid about this. my dad's a veteran. A lot of my friends are veterans. And today is Veterans Day.
Starting point is 00:12:52 That's right. So get out there and thank your lucky stars for all the veterans that have served so that we can all do what we want to do, talk like we want to talk, have shows like this. It didn't, freedom is not free. Freedom is not free. And we can't forget that. So I want to send a heart help, real thanks to all the veterans out there for your service. And we appreciate you more than we could ever.
Starting point is 00:13:16 convey. That's right. Sunday, speaking of just being nice to people in general, is World Kindness Day. Yeah, that's a good day. I like World Kindest Day. You anything's planned there, Nick,
Starting point is 00:13:34 or are you going to go like pets and dogs? Might be kind to myself and take a little relaxation. Oh, there you go. Hey, I mean, you could be kind to Numerono. That's right. Sometimes you have to. Yes. You know what? It reminds me. So one of my, my first job was actually washing dishes. And I did a little post on this. I watched a macaroni dishes at a meat and three. Glorious. Everyone should wash dishes as their first job. It'll teach you grit. Sure will.
Starting point is 00:14:04 But my second job was at a VHS tape. This is a competitor blockbuster called Movies. And we used to have these things, little stickers that we have to put. put on it says, be kind to rewind. So on kindness day, we don't have to do that anymore, but it reminded me of that because it was a pain in the ass. We get those tapes back. You know the hours I spent rewinding tapes that people, we had in the back room. Like I'd sit, they'd be like, the only job you didn't want, you'd be sitting there going. And you had no smartphone to kill time in between those things, rewind and you're like lost in your own sauce in your mind, just imagination. Mindless.
Starting point is 00:14:46 putting in tapes waiting on them to rewind. World of pure imagination. So all you, I don't know, youngsters out there, they've never had to deal with rewining. You guys don't even know what those calluses look like, you know, having to deal with it. Now it's just push button. So easy.
Starting point is 00:15:04 You know, Nick, you guys didn't have any of the time. I had the VHS. I mean, were you four? You press stop and hit rewind. That's, you know, it's about it. I don't know about the calluses and all that. Oh, you know, I was like walking through the snow. You know, like with bare feet.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Like, yeah. It's just kind of a overstatement that we all do. November 15th, I believe that's Tuesday. Clean out your refrigerator day. We need to have this here. It's our offices, man. That thing needs to cleaning out. You know, not it.
Starting point is 00:15:37 You can get in on that? You can clean out your refrigerator on Tuesday, Nick? You know, I think I am. You can always, you know, you can always straighten up your refrigerator, get a little cleaner. Do you keep, is yours get a little unwieldy? Yeah, I'm so busy, you know, just it does sometimes. What's the worst thing that, uh, that surprised you in the refrigerator before?
Starting point is 00:15:59 Oh, dear. Oh, well. Old leftovers or something? Yeah, you know, something gets hidden at the back and you don't see it for a couple months and then you do and it's, uh, that's the gift. They keeps on giving when you tell it, take it out and you like, ooh, man, what's growing in there? Yeah. I don't know. So November 15th, clean out your refrigerator. refrigerator day. So get it on your list. That should be like a once a week thing. That shit drives me crazy here. Like, you know, I'd go in there and I think about it and then I forget.
Starting point is 00:16:25 So clean out your refrigerator day. November 16th, couldn't not mention this one next, I guess, Wednesday, National Entrepreneurs Day. So I think we need to congratulate all the entrepreneurs. No, nope. There we go. There we go. There we go. More appropriate. I think the screaming was actually more. appropriate for what most I'm sure end up doing the first year. Yeah, it's not easy being an entrepreneur. No, it's not at all. Takes grit.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Takes grit. Takes patience and takes a lot of, I don't know, risk. Risk, reward. Yeah, you bounce back. So Wednesday, National Entrepreneurs Day. There's your social holidays. So we got some social media news today. First and foremost, Instagram.
Starting point is 00:17:15 I saw this. This seems like late to the game. Like, finally, rolling out new in-app post-scheduling. Finally. Yeah. It surprised you that wasn't already there. Yeah, I did. I think it's going to be great for like reels and stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Like even though we use scheduling software for certain things, the reels scheduling is wonky. And so maybe in-app will be a little better. Yeah, maybe a little more high quality. Yeah. And just what happens with the app or some of the schedules software has, you can't like get the exact thumbnail you want when and where. Exactly. So that's critical. You have to have the thumb.
Starting point is 00:17:50 And you got to. It's like all these little things with getting it right. There's nothing worse. Man, I fucking hate it. We'll post like something. It's like, my favorite.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Best video ever. And then you get on your feed and your thumbnails like black. It's like the back of your head or the back of your head. Like, oh, we didn't get that. Then you're debating, do we delete it? Is it going to kill the algorithm?
Starting point is 00:18:10 Yeah. Do we delete it and repost? Oh no. Yeah. Delete or report? Oh my. I don't know. Do you delete and repost if you do it?
Starting point is 00:18:21 Oh, if the thumbnail's bad you got to. Yeah. Instagram's new post scheduling option will enable you to schedule post, carouselels, and reels directing the app up to 75 days in advance. So, hey, get your Christmas reels done right now. You know, just go out there and get them done. Get them posted. Get them scheduled. Scheduled and take the rest of the month off.
Starting point is 00:18:44 If it were only that easy. We're only that easy. Other social media news. as we talked about Elon Musk earlier. And I said this last week with a little bit of challenge with my good friend, Christina. I thought she didn't know what she was talking about. And according to Elon Musk, she didn't, which is Twitter's usage is an all-time high as he continues to throw around ideas that app and is constantly in the news cycle. And that makes sense to me.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Yeah, that makes sense. He's out there like them, love or hate him. So people are on Twitter. They want to see what they want to see whether you think. think it's, you know, the train wreck gone bad or you just want to see what's going to happen next, it's drawing attention to the app. And so people are on it. There may be lots of people dropping off because they don't want to pay to be verified or whatever. But more... Couldn't handle that $8. Yeah. But more people are on it wanting to see what happens. So
Starting point is 00:19:36 every article that gets written about him and the platform, someone's going on Twitter to check it out that probably wasn't doing it six months ago. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he's not the number one topic in the world outside of social media. I mean, everybody's talking about him. You know, it pays to be known. And it pays to be in the news. And so he's constantly staying in it. And so we'll see where it goes.
Starting point is 00:20:01 He's got a lot of work to do. He's got to make it profitable. He's got to do a lot of things. But I wouldn't bet against them. I'll just say that. So if you're pulling off your ads from Twitter and it makes sense, great. But I do think there's eyeballs there. There's opportunity there potentially.
Starting point is 00:20:18 some value to be had here over the next few months with getting your target to see your message. So I think he might run some radcast stuff there. So we'll see. It's where the attention is. I know Yon's hurting. So I'm going to send him more money. Yeah, he needs it. He's struggling so bad.
Starting point is 00:20:36 He can cash out like, you know, one, one millionth of his stocks to cover like his daily needs or whatever. Marketing news. We've got several things. There's some fun things that people are doing for the holidays. I think you can take inspiration for this if you're marketing out there. How you borrow interest, how you can leverage partnerships, and how you can grow. Some of these are on a high level, but I think they can all be scaled at different levels, which is why I liked these articles in particular.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Anheuser-Busch buys Major League picketball team as the sport booms. Pickleball. You played it? I've never played it, but all my friends are talking about it. I haven't played it either. Nicole and I've been talking about picking it up. It looks fun. It looks like a game I could really kick some ass in, too.
Starting point is 00:21:26 If Kevin Drake could do it. Yeah, and it's like, but it's, I get why it's popular because I always love tennis. But you do have to have a certain skill set and the court is big and the ball moves so fast. You do have to move your ass around. You got to be moving and have some agility. and like coordination that it's hard to kind of play varying skills levels. Kind of like golf and golf has handicapping. But like I got good at golf and I didn't want to play with shitty people because like it's
Starting point is 00:21:57 annoying. It just takes too long. And tennis is the same thing. I would play with people and I would suck and I'd be playing someone good. I'm like, they're not having fun. You know, like because I can't keep it going. You know, like I was athletic enough to hit it hard, but it might land in the parking lot. or, you know, you never knew what was going to go.
Starting point is 00:22:15 You might break your ankle. But pickleball makes sense so it could see where a lot of schools at. So the ball doesn't move, but so fast. Court smaller. It's almost in between ping pong and tennis. Yes. And the orphans get serious about some ping pong. Let me tell you, we've got an outdoor table at our house.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Oh, buddy. And speaking of ping pong, I'm glad you brought that up. Yeah, we got to show them. Let's take a look here. Oh, yeah. You know you've made it when you've got Radcast ping pong balls. Yeah, hold it closer. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh, yeah. Holding this up for the camera. It might be bad for the audio, but you'll get over it. The rad cast ping pong balls came in. Yes. Because we're serious about ping pong. You offered family. Lay some wood on you.
Starting point is 00:23:02 They start playing with those. So, yeah. They have to hit better, I imagine. They drop it like as hot. Yeah, if not, they're lucky. Yeah. So pickleball is picking up, and Anaheuser-Busch bought a freaking team. The buy-end grants the company a founding partnership with the MLP, Major League Pickleball.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Hey, you down with MLP? Yeah, you know me. They should do remix of that song. Yeah, I'll get Charlie on that one. MLP, you know me. All right. Control over one of the league's extension teams as well as over aspects, such as who the team drafts, and who can become a sponsor.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I need to get drafted in that. We need like a rad cast in a M-O-P team. Yeah. Maybe the Radcastle by a pickleball team where we'll create our own. Partnership comes just a few weeks after Vizzi, owned by rival company, more, excuse me, Molson Cores became the official hard seltzer of the professional pickleball association.
Starting point is 00:24:07 We got MLP, we got PPA, You know, all kinds of pee. Pickleball has seen a rapid uptick in popularity growing 11.5% on average of the past years with a 21.3% growth rate between 2019 and 2020 alone. Impressive. So pickleball is blowing up and all sponsors are coming for it. So we got to get in that. I think we should, we need to get out and record some content on some pickleball. You know?
Starting point is 00:24:38 I don't know what that's going to look like, but I kind of want to play some. Have you seen the balls? Like, they're kind of like a big slower tennis ball, right? That's what it looks like to me. Yeah. We're going to do our research and talk more about all this pickleball stuff. All this pickleball stuff's got me interested, man. We might have to form a little radical league out there.
Starting point is 00:24:59 There is, I wonder if they're going to have it. We're the new Unity Park here in Greenville, South Carolina. I wonder if they have some pickleball courts over there. Well, I know they did one for kickball that we did. That was pretty fun. Yeah. We've got, there's basketball courts here now. I brought the boys up and we dropped some Js in their eye.
Starting point is 00:25:17 You know, they cried a little bit. But there is right next to us. So good way to christen the brand new court. It is. Speaking of christening, Southern Comfort, it's great, shot glass pants for Thanksgiving. I'm already getting on this here. Did you order us both some?
Starting point is 00:25:37 I'm going to wear them on the Radcast. They're coming in next week. The unisex-branded drawstring pants feature a pocket perfectly fit to carry around a shot glass. There you go. They can also be turned inside out for a fancy pants option. Oh, fancy pants, which are plain black so the consumer can wear them two days in a row without judgment. That's my favorite part. I really like this a lot.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I guess you drink it first before you put shot glass back. that works. Pull it out at any time. That's the tag one. Pull it out at any time. There you get. Southern comfort drawstring pants. Oh, shock glass pants.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Look, this is great branding and fun for the holidays. You know, get out of your own way, leaning to your brand. Southern comfort. This just makes sense to me. I would totally wear these, wouldn't you? Yeah, I would wear them. but maybe not two days in row. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:26:43 but you think about having people probably stay in the same clothes like that Thanksgiving or Friday and Saturday like after Thanksgiving. After you've used that shot glass, you might be staying in them two days. You might wake up,
Starting point is 00:26:56 still in them. Still out of the shot glass and the pants. Just make sure you flip them before you pass out. I can switch them back over so that everything's in a fresh pair. That's right. This is fun.
Starting point is 00:27:07 This is good brand extension. And, you know, it's a perfect time of year for it. So don't take yourself too seriously. Burger King, teams with Call of Duty for expansive international promo. All right, people, here's what this is about. If you're 13 to 21 or even 25, no one's freaking watching TV. So the only way to get to this target is through video games, apps on the phone, etc. And Call of Duty is one of the most popular games.
Starting point is 00:27:38 That's right. You got to go where your target is. And it's one of the biggest, like, quick service restaurants are like huge with the gaming crowd. And Burger King will offer players special in-game rewards, including a Burger Town themed operator skin and an hour of double XP playing time. Good old Burger Town. In which gamers can double their points earn for a little time. Both rewards were able to purchase of call of due. duty and the Whopper meal.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Burger Town is a fictional quick service chain within the game. Oh, yeah. I remember that. Good old Burger Town. It makes sense for Burger King to be part of Burger Town there. Yeah, a little reminiscent there. This is just all about how you get to the target, the right place, the right time. I mean, if I'm sitting there plans to call duty, you don't think I want some, a Whopper.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Yeah, I would. You know? Yeah, I mean, Modern Warfare, too, is, I think it's. crossed the $1 billion sales mark faster than any other video game of the modern times, which is pretty impressive if you think about it. It crosses a lot of things. I think there's like 40-year-old dudes playing this and 21-year-old girls playing. I think it's like it hits a lot of like segments.
Starting point is 00:28:56 My kids are more still playing, I don't know, Roblox and certain things. We're starting to venture more towards this area. It's like whether or not I want to let them, you know, really start banging it up. I don't know. They're mature enough, but they're not asking for it. So we let them just stay on Fortnite. Mm-hmm. A little more PG there.
Starting point is 00:29:18 But now my kids are getting more into Madden, which I'm excited about. I mean, I was like totally. I know you're excited about that. Playing a little mad. I got to drop two of my boys, Hudson and Hogan, played me and Madden. Let's just say, old daddy dropped the hammer on them. It was like 35 nothing at the hat. Needless to say that, that game got turned off early.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Back to Ford. Still got it. Yeah. I still got it. Having to learn all those new moves, though, kind of hard to do. I really like the old college football games. That's not supposed to be coming back now. It's classic.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Now with name, image, and likeness, like, figured out, supposedly going to be bringing college football back. That'll be interesting to see how that plays out with the name image likeness things and the video games. They started getting paid to be on the game. That's right. So we'll see. Finally today, Miller Light taps into the holidays with tree keg stand.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Oh, yeah. At first when I read this, I was like kegstand. That's kind of all I heard. But it's actually just a stand that your tree sits on, but it's on top of the keg. Dang it. I thought I was going to be doing a keg stand on top of my Christmas tree. Miller Light unveiled a Christmas tree keg stand. the newest addition to its holiday merchandise lineup.
Starting point is 00:30:40 According to our press release, the stands are large enough to fit around a quarter barrel keg and are designed to make it look as if beer is being poured from the tree. It's pretty creative. Yes. I love it. The keg stands were inspired by the success of Miller Lights ornaments, beer ornaments, which debuted last year and looked much like a traditional ornament but served as a vessel for beer. The Molson Coors brand holiday collection will again include the beer ornaments and a festive line of knitwear.
Starting point is 00:31:13 The tree stands which go on sale starting to yesterday for 4999. Other festive products follow the brewer's strategy of creative branded merchandise. This is fun. It makes sense, you know? Don't take it too seriously. How do you lean into these holidays? You get stuff that builds brand awareness. You make a little change with the products themselves, but it's really more about a brand play.
Starting point is 00:31:37 anything. How many freaking beer tree cake stands are they going to sell? I don't know. Probably more than we think. At least one. I don't know my wife would go for it. But you know, if you're a single guy or girl out there,
Starting point is 00:31:48 you can probably pull it off. Nick, you should have one of these. Oh, trust me. I'm getting one. And we're going to come back and report on it, right? And I'm going to go,
Starting point is 00:31:56 I'm going to come do a cake stand on it. That's great. We'll do it. We'll make that part of the Radcaste episode. How about that? Yes. Cake stands, tree cake stands.
Starting point is 00:32:05 So, it's fun. And this is how you have extension of your brand in a fun way. And there's no reason anyone can't take care of this. Because again, if you're a smaller company, you can do a limited run of these kind of things. And you build attention. You get articles written on you like this.
Starting point is 00:32:22 It's all about PR sometimes. And being in the news matters, even if the news is online. It's no longer about TV. It's all about articles and awareness. And people talk about it. Get some people to talk about. or educate. That's what you have to do. This will be a huge social thing. I'm sure they have
Starting point is 00:32:40 all kinds of organic content, people sharing how they set it up, what they did, and you get people talking. That's marketing in 2022. That's right. Nick, a tight 32 minute episode here. Any final words from you today? Well, well, just kind of have to bring it back to the old theme of today, which is it pays to be known. Yes, it does.
