Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. Here is the Radcast News. It's Friday, July 1st. Already July it is. Where is the year going? Welcome to our weekly marketing and advertising news edition. I'm Ryan Offord, your host, joined by Miss.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Yeah, definitely, definitely not Mrs. Just make sure you didn't get married since last week. Miss Christina Yossi. know of, not that I know of. Yes. You didn't do it, a lope? No, no. I'm not above it, but not this weekend.
Starting point is 00:00:37 All right. All right. Any of you staggans out there. Hey, there it is. There it is. Swoop up, uh, co-host Yossi over here. Just know my cat comes with me. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Yikes. That might have killed all of it. There's an inappropriate joke I could make, but I won't. I won't do it. Yes. I won't say it. I'm going to stay away from it. How is your week been?
Starting point is 00:00:58 It was, it's been good. On vacation. Yeah, for a couple days. Very nice. It was good. We were down at the lake. Extended weekend. We did this a little through Monday, Tuesday, vacation.
Starting point is 00:01:11 It was good. Nicole's out for a few weeks from the job. And so we got away with the kids. Nice. Just laked it up. Yeah. It was nice. The weather was nice.
Starting point is 00:01:21 It was sunny and warm, but not quite as stifling as it's been the last few weeks. Yeah. It was more tolerable. Tolerable. and had a few cold beverages and, you know, hung out on the water. Take it back. Yeah. Good stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Nothing. Did you celebrate iPhone turning 15? You know, I did by taking some pictures and some stories on Instagram. So, yes, I did. And I celebrated because we did go play a little miniature golf at a place called Oasis. It was quite the Oasis. And proceeded to almost get taken down by my son. We officially tied at the end.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Daddy came back. Do you go easy on them? Are you like every man for himself? I mean, I'm not. I take, like, I'll take a couple whole seriously and like, you know, like really, and then I kind of lose focus. But they're, you know, they've gotten better. I got you.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I got you. And I'm not playing much golf anymore. So my putting stroke's like the first thing to go. Sure. So it's quite the struggle just to hang in around. My dad would never go either. It would ever, ever, ever, ever. Generally speaking, Nicole and I are hyper competitive, and we do not go easy on the kids.
Starting point is 00:02:33 So I don't let them win. That's what I was asking. They're getting old enough, big enough, and coordinated enough that they have to fight for it a little bit. I got to fight a little harder. There it is. Just to hang in there. But yes, the iPhone did turn 15. And it makes me feel both having worked on the original iPhone launch back in the day.
Starting point is 00:02:54 It makes me feel both old and, I don't know, Success. Nostalgia. Yeah. Nostalgia. It was quite the iconic device and it still is. Yeah. It's taken over the world.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Taken over the world. Were you always an iPhone person? Like when she ventured into the smartphone world? From the time I've had one. I bought, yeah. You weren't a Blackberry person or Android. You don't talk about how old I was when Blackberries came out. Like I didn't have a cell phone when Blackberries came out.
Starting point is 00:03:22 This is true. But my grandmother got one. And I thought she, exactly. I thought my grandmother was so cool. I had an iPod touch. I had an iPod touch with my NV3 was my first cell phone. The NV3.
Starting point is 00:03:34 The NV3. I worked on that as well. I thought it was so cool. LG chocolate. Did you have a chocolate? No, I had the steel blue. Okay. And then I had the red one.
Starting point is 00:03:45 How about the Motorola razor? No, I always wanted one. I didn't get one. I wanted the pink one so badly. I was probably one of the first. And then I had, I had an LG extrovert. The LG extrovert was the last one I had
Starting point is 00:03:56 before I got my iPhone. I hated it. I hated it. With a little sliding. Yes. My mom had it. I found it. My mom had a juke.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Did you work on the juke? Oh, yes. Absolutely. Like, bring the juke back. Hashtag bring the juke back. Oh, yeah. And it was like. Yep.
Starting point is 00:04:16 The juke. I worked on all these. That's so cool. All these. I remember the campaigns. The iconic campaigns. And then the. Motorola droid.
Starting point is 00:04:28 That was fun to work. Oh, yeah. A little dark, a little different is when Motorola and Google took a little stab finally at the iPhone. It chipped into a way for about a year. Yeah. Campaign was good. And then the iPhone proceeded to... If I had been of cell phone carrying age, I would have gotten a droid because I loved the advertisements.
Starting point is 00:04:48 They, like, I remember them. Droid. Droid. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Everything iPhone can't. droid can yeah
Starting point is 00:04:57 droid does there you go that was the campaign there that yes it was I was literally in the room when we were concepting these campaigns
Starting point is 00:05:05 that's cool it was cool it brings back a lot of memories and yeah lots changed in the you know a lot changed in like an eight year
Starting point is 00:05:15 period there from like 2007 which is when the iPhone launched to like maybe 2015 a lot of iteration a lot of innovation
Starting point is 00:05:24 a lot of innovation in the phones Last seven years, there hasn't been that much innovation in the devices. A lot of it has, not a lot of it, but with Apple specifically, I think a lot has changed since Steve Jobs passed. Would you agree with that? I think a lot's changed and I think we found the core identity of what the phone is good for. Sure. You know, many people said, why would I ever use the phone to take pictures?
Starting point is 00:05:49 Like, okay, but pictures, music, communication, and the social media apps. and texting. Yeah. Like, and that's why the iterations have been better performance of the cameras and, you know, audio and different things like that. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:05 More storage. But the, but the actual like look, feel and other like large features just haven't changed that much because there just hasn't been anything kind of changed. I mean, you know, Samsung's tried to push the envelopes with the larger screens,
Starting point is 00:06:19 the folding phones and the folding stuff, which is pretty interesting. I'm not sure it's found it's quite use case. niche, you know. Yeah. But still brings back a lot of memories and still be interesting to see where it goes. Like, I think the next iteration is like maybe holograms or something or like, I don't know, like the Star Wars thing. I don't know, like if you can beam yourself.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Like if you're talking to someone and like somehow they create an augmented reality with you there. I don't know. I think that might be the next, the next generation. Yeah. It's on our phones. Yes, we'll see. What was your phone? Cool phone, Nick.
Starting point is 00:07:02 First cool phone. It was like a Samsung slide-up. It's on the keyboard. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, that was a big deal. Nobody wanted to get rid of the keyboards because it's texting. Right. T-9 word back in the day.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Oh, yeah. I remember that. Yes. So, iconic iPhone turned 15. Yes. And a little bit of downer news. Yeah. R. Kelly got sentenced to 30 years.
Starting point is 00:07:25 As well he should. Yes, he should. He's quite the not good person for a lot of reasons. What a mess. Yeah, quite the mess. But hey, the justice system came through on that one. And did. No more singing for him except in the shower.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Again, a joke we won't make. A joke we won't make. And on that, we have some TikTok updates for the fans. Yes, we do. The listeners' viewers at home. Yes. These are new stats that are released this week. 57% of TikTok users are female or female identifying.
Starting point is 00:08:07 43% are between the ages of 18 to 24. And I'll call out that 50% are over 30. So before you go, oh, I know it was just younger people. Nope. It's not. And that's still, you know, I mean 18, that's still an adult. You know, it's not a kid app, little children's app. It's not like Webkins.
Starting point is 00:08:28 God, I love Webkins. 3.4% are over the age of 55, and 3.4 does not sound like a lot, but that's 34 million people on this app. That's just how staggering the numbers are. Who are over the age of 55. Yep. Like, this is for everybody, and it's here to stay. Users currently spend an average of 52 minutes a day on it. I spend way more than that.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Full disclosure. That was a shocker to me, almost an hour on the app a day. And 90, this is what was interesting to me, is 90% of them visit the app more than once. Like it's not just, you know, at one time. And the average session lasts 11 minutes, which is enough time to watch 26 videos that are about, you know, 25 seconds each. Too big to ignore folks. A lot of attention is being spent on TikTok. As you can see, the data is going up.
Starting point is 00:09:15 It's been interesting to track these numbers like, you know, month over month. Yeah. Even by the end of the year. But 11 minutes per session. It's constantly consuming. And an hour a day. And that's going to be rising. Damn, an hour a day.
Starting point is 00:09:29 People are wasting a lot of damn time. You know? God, I love TikTok so much. I mean, you know, everybody needs to have their downtime. I guess. You know, it's just taking over where they're watching. You know, it was TV before. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:43 And now, you know, that's eroding at TV time, Facebook. You know, like it's takeaway from something. Like, and I will go home and, like, look up air fryer recipes on TikTok. I'm one of those people now. TikTok made me buy it. Is there, in there a hashtag? Yeah, it's hashtag. Yep.
Starting point is 00:10:02 What's TikTok made you buy, Nick? Nothing yet. Nothing yet. You should get an air fryer. My life has changed. Do you like an air fryer? I love it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:10 A lot of it's because my oven frightens me. I think that something's wrong with it. It smokes. I've had my people in to fix it at my apartment, and it's still just, it might explode. It might explode. So the air fryer has been good. Air fryer. You like air frying, Nick?
Starting point is 00:10:27 Yeah, it's good. Yeah. I've never... Sweet potatoes in there. Exactly. Does it taste like a friar? Yeah. Is it crunchy?
Starting point is 00:10:34 Yes. Like you do French fries and they're crunchy? Mm-hmm. Come on, man. Come on. Oh, yeah. I'll believe when I see it. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:10:42 I'm telling you. All right. It's worth it. We need to get an air friar sponsor, you know? Challenge accepted. Air fryer. Brought to you by the radcast. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Speaking of food. Speaking of food, we did this week, if you haven't listened to the Radcast this week, let me tell you, some weeks inspirational, motivational, business journeys. This is where you learn something this week. You need to go listen to Tom Roach's episode. One of the smart skies in marketing, he's a strategy, one of the largest agencies in Europe called Jellyfish. And lots of knowledge teaching you about marketing from the top of the funnel to the bottom and how you need to think about branding, marketing, and what's happening on TikTok and
Starting point is 00:11:22 what's happening in the evolution of advertising. And so you need to go check out that episode with Tom Roach that released this Tuesday. You'll thank me later. And next week, my friends, my kids are excited. This might be the one episode I'll let them listen to. They'll actually be interested in. Casey Webb, host of Man versus Food. It's been on the food channel, travel channel.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I think it's technically a travel channel. entity now. But nonetheless, food network. And Casey was awesome. And really down to earth. Nice guy. Had a blast talking with him. And maybe more to come with old Casey Webb and the radical folk.
Starting point is 00:12:07 But more on that. But you need to listen. Casey was great talking about just his professional journey. But then, of course, just the ins and outs of the show, which was fascinating to learn about my kids. It's one of the shows. There's so many, there's so few. in Casey, I talked about how little
Starting point is 00:12:23 television there is that you feel like you're comfortable watching with your kids. Yeah. So we enjoy it because it's just talking about food. He talks about different foods, how it gets made. But then there's always the end challenge. How much food can Casey consume or how hot the food is? He's a beast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:39 He is. And he can eat some hot stuff. Geez. Like, who I might stay with you for a little long. Yeah, there you go. We're going to get to that a little bit. the meat sweats. But, you know, you ever had the meat sweats, Nick?
Starting point is 00:12:56 No comment. Yeah. I don't know if I've eaten enough. I mean, I don't know. I eat a lot of steak. Yeah. And, you know, I don't know. I've heard that term.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And it's like, I don't know if I get hot eating. Yeah. No, me. I don't. I get hot eating spicy food. I did watch an episode where Casey ate like a 49. He ate the whole thing, 49 ounce, like, some kind of tomahawk or something.
Starting point is 00:13:22 That's a lot of damn meat. He ate the whole thing in 30 minutes or less, and he did it. Oh, no. I would be so ill. I kind of got the meat sweats watching. Right. There you go. But, yes, tune in next Tuesday, anywhere, everywhere.
Starting point is 00:13:41 And, hey, you can watch that episode. See me and Casey talk a lot about food and a lot about his journey. And he was super down to earth. So check it out next week. And you know what next week also, you know, it brings me to, you know, if you're watching the episode, it's easier to kind of get this analogy here. But July 4th is next weekend. And so in honor of being a little early with my patriotism, I do have on my American flag hat that is a little different than the casual American flag hat. And the average red, white, blue.
Starting point is 00:14:16 What would you call this? What would you call this style? Dark, I don't know. Monochrome, black and white. I'm current block and black and white. My branded bills, official sponsor of the RADCAST, I have on a American flag hat that I've actually owned for quite a bit. It's one of my favorite hats. It's the elite collection, I believe.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Yes, I think you're right. And it's only can be found at brandedbills.com, premium headwear, premium apparel, and hats that look as good as this one. My little army, what do you call this? It's camouflage. Camouflage, camo. They've got all kinds of stuff, including that yacht hat that I'm still waiting on. You need to go check it out. Hoodies if you want to get ahead for the winter. There you go.
Starting point is 00:15:23 And a t-shirt, but tons of T-shirts too. Lots of cool designs. Their art department is awesome. They design stuff. But get this. Your logo can go on any of their premium hats, t-shirts, hoodies, etc. By doing custom orders,

Starting point is 00:15:53 We've got some social holidays. Yeah, happy National Postal Worker Day. Hey, July 1st. Don't go postal on us. We appreciate our postal workers. Yeah, is that going postal? Is that or is that a bad thing? I don't think it, it's not bad yet.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah. In a couple years, this episode could be canceled. Yeah, I know. National Postal Worker Day. You know, I'm going to go buy some stamps. There you go. I need to make it to the Postal Office. I do love writing letters to people.
Starting point is 00:16:20 That was the only fun part about my brother being in basic training was writing letters. Yeah. Tomorrow. UFO day. Yes. Or UAP? UAP. Unidentified aerial phenomenon.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Yeah. If you want to see some UAP and come to my house with four kids, there's lots of UAP flying everywhere. You never know what kind of UAP you might get. You never know what it is. It is very unidentified. Yeah. But yeah. Do you believe in UFOs?
Starting point is 00:16:50 There's something out there? I mean, not like in aliens. I don't believe in like extraterrestrial. I think that there's things we can't explain. Nick, you think there's some UFOs out there, watch and nervous? Depends on what you mean by UFO. Like aliens. There's aliens and flying saucers.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Could be. Sounds pretty definitive there, Nick. I think it's probably manmade. Yeah, I don't know. It's like, I guess I'm just like a blue when I see it guy. Like I see the stuff online and I don't believe anything most of what I watch online with deep fakes and everything else. Like if I see a fucking alien walk by or fly over me, I'll be the first to tell you when I see it.
Starting point is 00:17:38 But I haven't seen that. I believe in like ghosts in house. I've never seen a ghost. See, I believe in like ghosts and paranormal activity and demons and all that stuff. Right. But I don't believe in aliens. Yeah. I don't discredit anyone that wants to tell me they've seen it, but I kind of need to see it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:58 And I've been some spooky places. I mean, I have. And I've been freaked out. Oh, yeah. My mind has convinced me that maybe something was going on. But in truth, was there anything in front of me? Did I ever see anything that actually ever in here? No.
Starting point is 00:18:12 My mind tricked me into just being fear. Right. You know, having fear. Sure. But, you know, I don't know. Show me, I got a show me, baby. Show me the money. Show me the UFOs.
Starting point is 00:18:25 We'll see. And, you know, I'm going to celebrate July 6th with my wife, International Kissing Day. There you go. You know, that's sweet. Precious. That's on Wednesday. The next Wednesday, don't forget. Kiss those that you love or that you don't love, you know.
Starting point is 00:18:41 The world needs more, well, yeah, don't need any more mono, but we need more, you know, more. love, more kissing. And then because it happens before our next episode, July 7th, World Chocolate Day. World Chocolate. And how can you not celebrate? World Chocolate Day. I like some chocolate. Who doesn't like chocolate? Look, I'm... Unless you're allergic or something,
Starting point is 00:19:02 like a dog. Or you're insane. Yeah. I like, but... Dark chocolate. No. Oh, you're a milk chocolate guy. Oh! Only milk chocolate. No. Oh, I'm devastated. Bitter.
Starting point is 00:19:16 No, 72% or higher. Bitter, dark chocolate. Unless there's caramel involved. Give me milk chocolate. I need some milk in that things. You know, I'm talking about Nick. You with me? Milk chocolate.
Starting point is 00:19:28 No, Nick's a dark chocolate guy. I don't think so. I think I like the dark stuff. I knew it. Like your black coffee too on the same page with this. No. But look, I'm not going to discriminate against chocolate. We're going to have to end this episode right here on the chocolate.
Starting point is 00:19:42 I've been fired. Next week it's like Christina's no longer on the show anymore. She's no longer. here because of all the opinions we don't share. You know what I like you do with dark chocolate? I get in. You're going to do the toilet one. No.
Starting point is 00:19:54 That's where dark chocolate belongs. That's where it goes. False. Lies. But that's all we got for holidays. Yeah. Trends in the Metaverse. We're just going to get straight in here.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I've got to leave that behind as fast as possible. And I got to go find a milk chocolate bar somewhere to feed my... my face. Dark chocolate. What we got here? So Mark Zuckerberg expects billions with a B of people to use the Metaverse generating massive revenue for meta, this man and his money. The Facebook co-founder explained that he expects the Metaverse to be massive and
Starting point is 00:20:37 become a major part of his company's business over the next decade. He said, and I quote, this is Mark Zuckerberg, we are at this point, you know, a company that can afford to make some big long-term research investments. and this is a big focus. So to me, Facebook meta, is just pouring tons of money. I mean, he changed his name. Like, what else is a guy that changed the name of his business
Starting point is 00:20:59 to meta? Right. I'm going to say about the metaverse. And I'm torn between like, this is the next thing or this is just his. I just started a car. I just opened a car to either ship. Selling cars is the future of the world.
Starting point is 00:21:13 It better be. And I think it is going to be a big part of it. It's the, it's the, evolution of gaming and kind of the world and shopping and I get it's the it's happening but like yeah it's a little self self serving uh to a degree and you know he added I saw he put this by utilities to be able to be more productive in virtual and augmented reality so you're going to buy apps on top of being in the app you know in a way spend spend spend yeah so we'll see it's obviously coming yeah And my kids, again, like I've said, they do care what their avatars are wearing.
Starting point is 00:21:53 So it's clearly going to matter more as we move along. And to a specific demographic as well. But, you know, like, it still, it feels to me like this dystopian world, though, where no one's going to leave their house. Uh-huh. It's a little, it's a little eerie. It's a little bit eerie. That's where this feels like it's headed. Like, where, you know, everything outside of the house.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I mean, you're just inside. You're in faux world. Yeah. You know, I guess it's a real world if you think it is. But it still feels very disconnected and dehumanizing. Yes. To an extent. I think that's where the issues are going to come or like is the dehumanizing,
Starting point is 00:22:33 depersonalizing, like. Out of body experience, out of touch with reality. You're not out of touch. You're just in a different one, which is concerning to me as well or could be potentially. Yeah. So we'll see. I thought this was interesting. A serial entrepreneur, anyway, you're not going to know his name.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I'm not even going to say it. His predictions. It'll be in the show notes, folks. Yeah, in the show notes. Predictions for the Metaverse in 2030. So 2030, we're still a few years away. Yeah. The next phase of the Mervis will be fidgetal.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Get fidgetal. That was what I thought, too. That's exactly what I thought. You don't pay to listen to the show if you did. You know, I'd have to pay you to listen to my singing. Combine the physical. and digital. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:19 That's, that's fidgetal. Figital. I had to Google that to make sure I was like, surely it's not that pedantic. Yeah. But it is. You remember that song,
Starting point is 00:23:26 no, you know. You don't, let's get physical, physical. Look it up and what's added over like, while I'm talking right now, I expect that song. You'll have it stuck in there. Don't worry. The Metaverse will revamp the education system.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I can see this. Yeah. I can actually see this happening. If you tell me I can go to grad school and not have to leave the state, that's amazing. Look, you've got online schooling already happening. Right. And it sucks. If kids can stay home and be in some type of hybrid environment.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Yeah. That's a little more. Like, this makes sense to me. Right. More tactile than just, you know, e-learning. Yeah. Yeah. On some level.
Starting point is 00:24:09 And then have a social aspect. I can even see you going to a campus and having these experiences. and then the social aspect being, because you still got to be able to have raging parties. You know, so like... Some of us didn't get that, but it's fine. And you can't, you know, have ragers in the Metaverse. Or can you?
Starting point is 00:24:24 But, you know, it just depends on where you get to school. I'm going to, I'm going to trademark right now, PJ in the Metaverse. And the bathtub that you make it in and some meta fruit. Massive success. Massive success. Medi-Cegg? Medi-Cegger. Cegger.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Gegiverse. The workforce will move to the metaverse. Okay. I can see this a little bit. Certain things. Yeah. And then digital properties will have a greater impact on GDP. Well, I mean, if, combining the last two articles, if what Mark Zuckerberg hopes happens, which is probably added there.
Starting point is 00:25:08 He has it of money to make sure it does happen. Right. And the resources. Yeah. As more people and more money is spent. these digital properties, it is going to have an impact on GDP. But it will be, it still, is it in replacement of spending that's already happening or is it in addition to it?
Starting point is 00:25:24 Right. Right. Yeah, exactly. So we'll see where it goes. Stay tuned. But I think, again, some of these makes sense. And I think that's where some of this will, these practical use cases will start to unfold. Sure. And it might happen in a more meaningful way than just, you know, teach.
Starting point is 00:25:44 shirt drops and then the NFTs. Roblobs. They're on every corner. McDonald's, meanwhile, is staking out a virtual camp in their mobile app. McDonald's this month is bringing a virtual camp experience that features a variety of deals, menu hacks, and other programming exclusively to its mobile app. The virtual camp experience is another indication that the fast food chain views its mobile app as a lynch pin to winning the hearts of Gen Z.
Starting point is 00:26:10 This is a huge effort for them. I think this is fun. You know. Do you use the McDonald's app? Do you eat McDonald's? No, I don't. I take my kids there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Every now, they'd like to go every week, every day. We go probably once, twice a month. Sure. We tend to go to Wendy's or something else. Yeah, Chick-fil-A. Yeah. And I will say this. We used to do, I used to do Hotcake Friday with my two middle boys.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Oh. And they've kind of of growed out of it a little bit. And then we had the pandemic, which kind of shut it out. We've literally done, because I have them, every Friday morning,
Starting point is 00:26:53 I was taking them to school. And we did like a hundred and 28 Fridays in a row, something like that. How special. Yeah. That's really cool. That's really cool. It was hot cake Friday.
Starting point is 00:27:06 But you never used the app? No. Pre-pandemic. And I know. I know they had the app. Right, right. But we never used the app. Yeah, I don't have it.
Starting point is 00:27:17 I'm not a big McDonald's person. I have the Chick-fil-A app, but I never use it. I have a Chick-fil-A app. I have like a Zaxby's app. I never use them. A few of the places we regular. Panera. I use Panera.
Starting point is 00:27:26 I think I do have the Panera. Now I use my Starbucks app way more than I want anyone to know. I think everyone does. I will say this. As we've graduated from McDonald's, we do go to Starbucks now. And when we sit there, the number of people that have ordered on the app, app like my 12 year old goes yep dad i think we need to open a starbucks like we will because he sees
Starting point is 00:27:48 the number of people coming in i love it little entrepreneurs he's like uh young like you so many people are coming in out of here and like now it's like running joke like how many people come in and out of that place just as a mobile and we see the same people because like we go we can go there between there and like panera like the last this past year sure and probably went to start 20 times on Fridays and you see 85% of the people are the same. They're coming in and out of it. Oh, yeah. No, they know me at my Starbucks.
Starting point is 00:28:17 I know my cat too. I brought him in the drive-thru. Just come out of the house. Like a dog. But back to the virtual camp. Yes, yes. I think it's fun. I mean, it's part of, it is.
Starting point is 00:28:31 It's cool. I don't think I'm ever going to drop my kids off there. But, you know. But, uh, it's all about. about being relevant to different genres. I just like McDonald's always, like, it's just always going to be there. Yeah. You know?
Starting point is 00:28:45 I think they will. We'll see. So slash, Gung and Rode, any Guns and Roses fans out there, Slash is entering the Metaverse to host a virtual reality concert. They've joined the Metaverse to host a performance in virtual reality. Artists everywhere are seeing SVR and Magic Mirror as the ultimate digital representation of their art, giving their fans a totally original experience built for the high. highest levels of immersion.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Kind of cool. That's cool. I like it. I love Golden Rose's. You know, is it actually Guns and Roses performing or just him? Yeah, it's just him. Yeah. But still, I mean, what is Guns and Roses without Slash?
Starting point is 00:29:26 I know, but where's Axel? But they've also re-released some vinals, I believe. Yeah. God, that sweet child of mine, I was like one of the first, like, songs that came out. I'm like, oh, God, that's so good. And then November rain. Oh, yeah. So good. Oh, yeah. Classics. Classics.
Starting point is 00:29:47 At least we agree on music taste. Maybe not chocolate, but music taste. Okay. Okay. Peace offering. Yeah, there you go. See? And that wraps up our Metaverse news. I know. Out we go. Trends in the Metaverse. But back to marketing.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Coca-Cola teams up with marshmallow for a limited-edition flavor. And that's not just the food marshmallow. That's the artist as well. Coke will release a limited-edition flavor in July, so this month, that was created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist, marshmallow, the new flavor, which introduces strawberry to watermelon to the Coke flavor, marks the first time the Coca-Cola company has co-created a beverage with an artist. I didn't realize this was the first time.
Starting point is 00:30:38 I didn't either. I like this. The cans are going to be the black and white. They're white. They're really cool. Look like marshmallow. This is fun. It makes a lot of sense,
Starting point is 00:30:45 especially with their new taste and combinations of things they've been doing with the platform. So Coca-Cola creations. Do you like marshmallow? I do like marshmallow. I like the artist. And I like to eat marshmallows. Oh, look, listen. I forget love marshmallows.
Starting point is 00:31:00 You know, I remember the kid, like, stuffing my face with, like, marshmallow. And sometimes you get too many in there. He's a little scary. My brother and I would throw the minis back and forth and try to catch him. Hey, here's the thing. Have you ever seen the marshmallow gun? Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:12 I wanted one so badly. My mom almost bought them one year for Christmas. Don't peg you, man. Peggy with the marshmallow. But my kids have a, I had one at one point. I don't know what happened to it. I'm glad to throw them. Now I just get hit with the Nerf guns.
Starting point is 00:31:26 There you go. Right in the face. Turn, just they love you. That's the UAP right there. Hey, there it is. Call back. I like this.
Starting point is 00:31:39 It's fun. It's a great combo. for the brand. It makes a lot of sense. And I'll try it. I've got to totally try it. I'll pay for. Yeah. I kind of want to taste it. And I like marshmallow.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Most of his music, all those collabs are good. Yeah, yeah. Every time I hear it, I'm like, I kind of know that sound now, like with someone, but pretty good. Nick, you like marshmallow? Yeah, I like his co-labs. They're good. Co-labs. That's a co-law.
Starting point is 00:32:05 This is cool. Al-Cassol drops a new hangover relief product. I might have to get some of this before the weekend. Yo. At late time. I'm, you know, late time gets some fun time sometimes. There you go. I'm going to have a little marshmallow Coke, wash it down with some Alka-Seltzer hangover relief.
Starting point is 00:32:21 To promote the new product designed to alleviate hangovers, T-Pain, remix the Bears brand classic jingle and his distinctive auto-tune Kroon, the hip-hop-influenced take on the Plop, Plop, Fizz. Earworm is available to stream on Alka-Seltzer's website and is attached to a TikTok dance challenge. Always. I don't see that. Alex Heltzer is making a move, a more forward play for the party-going crowd with this new hangover product and partnerships with Team T-Pain. The modernized take on the brand stage of routine is intended to be an anthem for the morning after. This is just what you want.
Starting point is 00:33:00 You want to put T-Pain on after you have a hangover. I usually want something a little more mellow personally. Silence, just absolute silence. Silence. But I might take it on my trial. Yeah, this is, why not? I will say this. So the secret's out.
Starting point is 00:33:15 If I'm a little hungover, I usually take, you know, three Advil and a couple of Alka Salters anyway. So there might be on to something here. Yeah. It's a good combo. The trick you had it to the Advil before and the Alka Salter. That and a liquid IV. Yep, the Liquid IVs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Liquid IV you need to call us. That'd be a perfect sponsor. And depending on the day, a mimosa. Because that's the only way to get over it. It's a cute drink. Those are facts. It's a bloody berry for me. Yeah, no, I can't.
Starting point is 00:33:49 I'll do a mosa. You can have the bloody merry. Yeah. I can do either way. I'm an equal opportunity hangover killer guy. I got you. I got you. I will say this.
Starting point is 00:34:00 You get old enough. I don't get that many hangovers anymore. I know how to have a great time the night before. And I have a great time. I mean, I do. And I can balance it out so that where I are. it doesn't crush my morning anyway. You know, like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:15 It's, uh, it's an old man. I'm just too young for that right now. Part of it's drinking a few tips of Gatorade and waters throughout the night. I'll do coconut water and take a multi-butt. I mean, I can pour one on pretty good. Yeah. As long as I'm drinking hydrated through the night and hit a Gatorade before I go. Gatorade a few Advil before bed.
Starting point is 00:34:33 If I'm, and then I'll talk seltter, I prefer it in the morning. Dude, I'm ready to do anything. I'll go, uh, work on the plantation. Whatever you need to do, cut some grass. Ors are never intentional. You know, pick the garden, whatever. The night just gets away from me.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And then the next day I'm like, oh, no mistakes are made. If I know I'm going out, like, I take the right precautions. But sometimes happy hour turns into 11 o'clock. And I'm like, oh, no. 11 o'clock, come on. I need like five hours of sleep and I'm good. Oh, yeah, no. I mean, yeah, insomnia, but I was dying.
Starting point is 00:35:02 A couple weeks ago, I walked in here a hungover. And I was like, this is the end for me. Yeah, it's not fun going to work hungover, really. Nope. But that's why you avoid the hangover to begin with. It doesn't mean you're 100%, but you know, but you're at least 85 or higher, you know, like Nick, about you, you know how to avoid them? Yeah, I like Bloody Mary's and Advil. With that in a T-shirt.
Starting point is 00:35:26 I like Bloody Mary's and Advil. Yes. I don't know. Ironic. Everything in moderation, including moderation. That's a sobering reality right there. That's my good friend, A. Blinken said that, I think. So the old wives show is good.
Starting point is 00:35:43 I thought it was Winston Churchill. But back to moderation, Kraft mac and cheese, they have a little rebrand. Let's see, where am I here? Craft rebrands macaroni and cheese to promote comfort food as something positive as opposed to a guilty pleasure. The move includes a name change from, this is kind of silly, Kraft macaroni and cheese to Kraft macon cheese, reflecting on how customers originally or organically talk about the product. Packaging will come in a single blue hue that draws greater attention. attention to the non-perishable items, noodle smile iconography, which has been redesigned with more dripping cheese.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Love that. I do like, ugh. Listen. This is, mac and cheese is one of my favorites. It's my favorite food. Like, if there's, there's a lot of things, like, from kid carryover to adult care of that just didn't make it. Just made it.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Like, I can eat some mac and cheese. I can live on it. It's my favorite thing. The kids love it. It's one of the few foods in the whole house that I think everyone eats. We got some picky eaters You know you got four boys We got two they'll eat anything
Starting point is 00:36:45 And then two they're like the world's picky's eaters And just about all I think all of them universally Except for maybe Hudson Eat mac and cheese How do you go wrong? I mean and I can eat the homemade kind The macs the craft mac and cheese guy
Starting point is 00:37:00 The Valdveda shells of cheese Sign me up It makes me want to play You know what it makes me want to play In Dallas Then the private party at the Buckingham Palace That's me with awesome mac and cheese. With all your money, cash money, yeah, I'm universal.
Starting point is 00:37:16 That's what I think about mac and cheese. Nicely done. And it makes, I like this. Hey, it's how people talk about it. When do you ever go? I'm going to have some craft macaroni and cheese. I know. No, I'm having a mac of cheese.
Starting point is 00:37:28 I like it. And, hey, comfort-free positioning. I mean, I don't know how much that, you know, how real you can really make the powdered cheese look or whatever. Right, right. If you get the shells and cheese, the velvita at least, you know, squeezes out, you know? You know it's good, though. It's so good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Don't act like you don't get that's there. But making it, I'm always a little bit gaggy. I'm like, all right. This is fine. Yeah. Worth it. And I think we're going to cut it off there, folks. It's been a good week.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Indeed. Any final words? No, I got nothing. We were chatting on this one. Yeah. Everybody have a good weekend. I'll be on the beach tomorrow. Oh, there you go.
