Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. Here is the Radcast News. It's Friday, September 2nd, 2022. Our weekly marketing, advertising, business, world news. Christina Yassi. I'm very caffeinated. Yes. Very caffeinated today.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Oh, you are? Yes. I might be a little under-caffeinated. I'll make up for it. Don't worry. I'm usually like two energy drinks in. Look, I can see sound right now.
Starting point is 00:00:29 I'm buzzing. Yes. Happy September. Same to you. Here we are now. I know. I was like, oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:36 I know we kind of joke about the dates, but I think it's a natural human thing. I think everybody kind of like watches the calendar and it like moves fast.
Starting point is 00:00:42 I mean, some people might go, why do they always talk about the time? But it's like, it just moves. moves well and the older you get it goes by even quicker you're so old i know i'm too old for i'm too old for leo dicaprio clearly not 25 anymore yes not that was a good setup right there thank you thank you yeah to get up you know so the memes are going crazy memes are strong and they're very funny.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Yeah. They're very, very funny. Memes are strong in this one. Yeah, so for those who don't know, Leo DiCaprio will only date women who are 25 and younger, which is now almost double his age. Nicole, if you're listening, I'm just playing into this.
Starting point is 00:01:22 It's all a roll. It's all a ruse. I don't begrudge the age difference, but I do think it's just odd enough. Yeah, it's a little interesting. It's coincidental. It's quite a trend. It is a trend.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I mean, but, you know, like, he's kind of the rock star of movie stars a little bit. Right, and he's been in the industry so long. If you're going to be the one to do it, like, okay. I mean, I don't know. And, like, These women are dating him consensually. It doesn't seem to be
Starting point is 00:01:49 a jerk. It never comes out. He dates them for a number of years. It's not like he's serial dating 12 of them at once all in the same year. He's a serial monogamist just in the 25. It's just a very funny trend.
Starting point is 00:02:05 It is. And the memes are coming for it. They are. Which is great. It's too bad you're just out of his reach now. Right. Rats. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:15 Way too old for him. Unbelievable. Nick, what do you think about old Leo? Some people have a lot of time on their hands. What? Keeping up with the trend? Yeah, you should see this chart. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Right? Yeah, exactly. Memeing it up. You like Leonardo? Yeah. He's grown on me over the years. I kind of hated him 20 years ago. When he was 25, it was kind of annoying.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Sure. But then the movies got better, and he got better. What's Eating Gilbert Grape is really good. Yeah, he was good in that. Grape is really good. Yeah, he was good in that. Devastatingly good. That was one of his best young performances.
Starting point is 00:02:49 I was kind of annoyed by some of the other stuff but then like Departed was he was in? Yeah. Okay, I don't want to
Starting point is 00:02:54 and then Catch Me If You Can. There's some stuff he's pretty good. He's pretty good. Titanic, of course. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:03:01 that was kind of annoying. Wolf of Wall Street I think is his best performance. Yeah, that was kind of annoying. Wolf of Wall Street, I think, is his best performance. Oh, yes. Personally. Oh, God. Him and Matthew McConaughey. Yeah. Just great.
Starting point is 00:03:15 What a film. Great scene. Yes, very good. I'm going to not do it all month. You know what I'm talking about, Nick. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's college football season.
Starting point is 00:03:26 It is. Hey, can't go too far without that. Go Tigers. I'm watching a lot of games this weekend. Hey, my boys listening on the D line there at Clemson. Ready to take over. You play Monday, Georgia Tech. I don't want to come back next week like bawling.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Only fair by 21. You guys got this. Not bawling, but ball in. Yes, I know. My man, Miles Murphy, Tyler Davis, Brian Breese. like bawling only fair about 21 you guys got this ball in yeah i know my man miles murphy tyler davis brian breese we love a name drop yes i'm gonna post something today with some of my photos with these guys there you go i have my orange shoes on today hey i've got my custom rad cast radical air jordan we hit we nailed it with the shoes today. Hey, that's a good color combo, actually.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Bam. Orange in there. Just like that. Look at the combo. Oh, yeah. Combo colors right there. That's what I'm talking about. Look at us.
Starting point is 00:04:16 All you college football fans kicking off. It's week one. So you're either going to be loving it or drowning in sorrow come sunday or monday or whatever for it yes a lot of good games actually yeah high state notre dame yeah that's what i'm excited about lsu clemson georgia that's not really a good guess it's a good game if you're a clemson fan right or maybe i don't know if it's a good game for your georgia i'm gonna beat the shit out of them but the rambling wreck is gonna be wrecking nick you know what i'm talking about yep it's gonna be wrecking
Starting point is 00:04:47 nick and i are clemson graduates you know i know i'm a mom i think you never said that alma mater is that that's it very nice very good very good how you think clemson's gonna do this year nick i think they're gonna do well national national title aspirations or just second tier potentially okay you know there's always you know clemson you know it's clemson it's always do something yeah that's right uh speaking of doing something someone that's a great great segue that i've. That I've really always admired from a marketing perspective. I mean this and actually a music perspective being a country music fan. And personal. She's just wonderful. She's wonderful.
Starting point is 00:05:32 And always been fascinated by certain aspects of her. Dolly Parton. It's coming out with a new line of pet costumes. Yes. And wigs for animals, dogs in particular. It's called Doggy Parton.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Ah. What else would you call this? Yes. Doggy Parton. In partnership with Sports Pet Designs, the singer-songwriter, actress and author, and rollercoaster creator. Yes. Dolly World. You know what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:06:03 an author and rollercoaster creator. Yes. Dolly World. You know what I'm talking about. Launched her new line of dog apparel and accessories, complete with dog shirts, dresses, squeaky toys,
Starting point is 00:06:14 and other fine accessories. Doggy pardon. What do you think about this? I'm here for it. Yeah. I'm totally here for it. I got a good headline for it. I'm sure you do. Please, Mr. Marketing Man. I got a good headline for it. I'm sure you do.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Please, Mr. Marketing Man. How would you market this? It's the headline for the website. Doggy style. There it is. Brought to you by a doggy pardon. Oh, yeah. Perfect. Prime.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Dolly. Yeah. I think it's great. I mean, who doesn't love a double entendre? A little innuendo. Never out of style. Not when it's doggy style. That's right.
Starting point is 00:06:52 There it is. Yes. So I'd love to know. Give some comments what you think if you're going to buy any of your pets. Excuse me. Your pets. Any of these accessories.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Do you do Radcast Pet Swag? Yes. I mean, the pets. You need these accessories. You do Radcast Pet Swag. Yes. I mean, the wig that the dog had on, it was just like ridiculous. It's so good. It's like, okay. It's so good. The bandana. Okay, I get the bandana.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Sure. Some of that stuff. Little squeaky toys, fine. But they had a cowboy hat. Little cowboy hat on like a chihuahua or something. It's so cute. I just smack that thing. I never hit animals.
Starting point is 00:07:27 It's about the hat. Smack that hat off. Sure, sure, sure. Yeah. Sure. Yes. So, you know, just in time for Christmas. Just in time.

Speaking of Howard, how he, how our pains,
Starting point is 00:11:55 his episode launched this week. We've had, I think 5,000 downloads. I'm ridiculous. Uh, this week already. Uh, it's been a lot,
Starting point is 00:12:03 uh, adding up all the impressions on social media and on our downloads. So that's been popular hearing Howie P's story, how he became, you know, he doesn't call himself a billionaire sort of, but let's just be honest about it. Right, yeah, there's no wink wink about it.
Starting point is 00:12:18 You don't start to think billions unless you're a billionaire. And Howie P's the most down-to-earth billionaire you'll ever meet. Super good dude and a great story. so you need to check that out go to our latest guest episode from last week or this week excuse me uh and check out howie p next week we're doing a re-release we have so many you know the show's grown a lot in the last three years and we've got like we've had some solid guests for like three years. And some of these episodes, they just get down because we have like 300, almost 300 episodes now.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Right. And some of them get pushed down. And I'm going back and kind of like listening to some. And they're all my babies. But some that I feel like are really insightful. And this is a multibillion-dollar brand itself. Whoop, the most sophisticated fitness tracker in the world. Will Ahmed, the CEO of Whoop, had like a $3.4 billion valuation a few months ago.
Starting point is 00:13:14 So Will's awesome. Super helpful, super insightful. And I know this episode was like two years ago, but it's just a lot of really good nuggets. So I think it's a good one to re-release while we're getting a few others scheduled and moved out throughout the calendar. So be on the lookout for that on Tuesday. Will Ahmed with Whoop, W-H-O-O-P, the founder and CEO and a great dude. Check that out on September 6th, the day after Labor Day.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Yes. So when you're all hungover, you know, and you're kind of like dragging, Will will pump you up because you'll go, damn. Download that episode.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Get you a billion dollar company going. Check it out next week. I know we've got some social holidays. We do. They're a little bit lean this week, but September 4th is National Wildlife Day. Hey. So exciting.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Yeah. It's not. It's blank. You know what that made me think of? Not national. Hey, we should support our wildlife. Absolutely. I support wildlife.
Starting point is 00:14:17 It made me remember back when I was young, there was wrestling. And there's still wrestling now. But there was the WWF is what it was called and it was so funny because that was all I grew up World Wrestling Federation it's WWE today yeah there's a story behind that um and I don't know what the wildlife day thing made because the National Wildlife Fund or excuse me the World Wildlife World Wildlife Fund, or excuse me, the World Wildlife Fund, WWF, had the trademark. And the WWF had been around. It wasn't as big as it is today, but it was huge.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And it was a huge deal. They had to change their name. They didn't want to change their name. It was like fight over the trademark. Ah, interesting. Ultimately, the World Wildlife Fund won out. The animals won. The animals won.
Starting point is 00:15:05 I don't know. National Wildlife Day made me think of that. won out. The animals won. The animals won. I don't know. National Wildlife Day made me think of that. September 5th. Labor Day here in the States. Yep. Got to work for it, people. Yep. Don't work for it on Labor Day.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Don't work on it. Work for it. Yes. Something like that. There it is. Work hard today and tomorrow and Sunday and then you can, whatever. Enjoy your long weekend. Get some shopping done.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Hey, there we go. Lots of discounts. And then when you're hungover, read a book day. Yes. September 6th. Yes, I've got a new book that I'm going to be reading.
Starting point is 00:15:36 I'll tell you about it next week. Exciting. Yes. But read a book day is the 6th. Yes. And then the 9th is the official start of football season.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yeah. Which doesn't really make sense. It's kind of started already. But whatever. I know. I think it's because of NFL bias. But it's a big season for advertising. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Oh, good God. Big season for marketing. Be ready for beer commercials. Pizza. Pizza. Speaking of pizza, I don't know if it's in our thing. Is a little Caesar article in here? It should be. Okay. All right. Well, I'll save it if it's in our thing. Is a little Caesars article in here? It should be.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Okay. All right. Well, I'll save it. It is. It is. It is. It is. I didn't get that far in our show notes, but I'll save it.
Starting point is 00:16:12 New sponsor for the NFL pizza. Well, sort of named it, but we'll get to that. We'll circle back to it. Circle back. There are your social media holidays that you just can't miss. Got to celebrate them. First on our list here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Getting real. Social media news. Be real. Rises to 10 million daily active users. This comes to us from socialmediatoday.com. Said it's interesting to note the growth of the app and the popularity of its real life approach, which shows that people may well have had enough of unrealistic depictions of people's chosen persona and image online.
Starting point is 00:16:51 I mean, it's kind of making a leap. I mean, as a classical researcher, like how the fuck do you know that's what's happening? How do you know that it's just not other app? Right. I am interested to see.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Unless there's a survey behind this. Right. You're, what is it when you're adding conjecture to something that you don't necessarily have proof of? Sure. But just assuming. Yeah, it's I'm interested to see how this my my hat on I don't know if it's a year but 18 months it's disappeared it's
Starting point is 00:17:28 it's that's kind of what I think it gets absorbed by one of the bigger ones Instagram already launched it maybe one of them buys it maybe
Starting point is 00:17:35 yeah but be real in its current form if it still exists and it's let's if it's if it's growing like this
Starting point is 00:17:41 then it should be a hundred million in a year right I'm gonna go on record and say it won't be stay tuned we'll see if I'm right or wrong if it's growing like this, then it should be a hundred million in a year. Right. I'm going to go on record and say it won't be. Stay tuned. We'll see if I'm right or wrong.
Starting point is 00:17:49 My tracker's pretty good because I'm not really a fortune teller, but when my gut tells me something... But you know how it works. This one doesn't feel like it's going to last. What else we got here?
Starting point is 00:18:00 We got some Instagram news. A new report shows that reels are generating the most reach on Instagram, but the most commonly posted types of content are still photos at 42%. Carousels, which are, you know, multiple photos at one time are 26% and then reels, but reels have the most outreach. This is what I would call a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Starting point is 00:18:21 When you want a certain, when you own the platform and you're being kind of slapped around or you feel like you're being slapped around by another platform that being tiktok you're gonna probably give precedence and reach because they control the organic reach oh yeah it's like facebook in 2011 they shut down like that. Everybody saw your posts like they can control that and the algorithm. So I have no idea if they're doing that, but I would just assume that it has the best reach because Instagram wanted to have the best reach to get you to post more of those. Oh, I want those percentages. One hundred percent.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I think they've backed off like completely bailing on the photos and the carousels completely. Yeah. But they want the videos to rise up. They want people creating more videos. Oh, absolutely. I mean, my stupid little cat account, his reels get thousands and thousands of views. And he's got 200 followers. It's a really interesting cyclical thing where if you think about it, because we are the free.
Starting point is 00:19:24 where if you think about it, because we are the free, imagine like NBC or Netflix, they have to pay billions of dollars for content to be created for them, like Game of Thrones, all that stuff. Instagram and TikTok have free content creators. All their programming gets created for free by us, by people. It's why the business model is so brilliant it's you know people come there to view the content just like they watch a show but we're free and yes we don't pay for it either so we it's shared attention they get they get followers they get attention right they sell
Starting point is 00:19:59 ads we get free awareness air quotes free um anyway interesting dynamic lucrative yeah we'll see i i got a problem with reels growing but no i still like a photo i still want to see like my friends like some stats sometimes i get a little fatigued quite frankly for like i wouldn't mind having like a button for a photo feed yeah like you know i would only do one of the others i don't have to like i'm just kind of because i i'm obviously following a lot of the same people because the shit on my feed on the reels is like the same shit i'm like okay somebody come coach trying to teach me something and i'm like yeah you know you get burnt out breathe in breathe out wax on wax i get wax off. I get it. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Give it a rest. Come back to it. But a little photo. Okay. Yeah. This is nice. Okay. And I don't know. A respite.
Starting point is 00:20:54 I mean, I got to get through this episode because I got to get my real poster. I mean, but you know. Right, right. You know what I'm talking about, Nick. Nick and I are about to do some badass shit. I posted one of Nick's videos today. Yeah. It was a workout video we did like 18 years ago and uh yeah a different tattoo i noticed
Starting point is 00:21:10 yeah it's grown a little the uh the uh yeah and uh it was a badass video i hadn't posted in like two years but uh we're about to do some new shit there you go all right and it's gonna be a real it's gotta be real real because we want some good reach so tiktok tests a new nearby content feed which could become a major consideration for brands as it sounds tiktok's nearby feed displays content posted by users in your current location that can enable TikTok to showcase locally relevant updates which relate to your interests. So again, which makes sense if you're near a store. Or amazing for travel.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Yeah. I think this is great. Come into town. Yeah. You're seeing. First semester of college, you don't know what's going on. You're seeing a tip talk of like how to get around the town and the best restaurants.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Exactly. Sponsored by the restaurants that are on the list. Boutiques, shopping. Brought to you by social media today. Yeah, this is cool. I mean, I kind of thought this sort of happened anyway. Because I get, and I don't know if this is random, but I get a bunch of Greenville or local South Carolina stuff in my feed.
Starting point is 00:22:22 But I don't think it's like, there's not a separate button for it to like consolidate all of it. I think that they're testing out. Yeah. Organizing all of it in one place. Yeah. I you've been digging into TikTok much. Not too much, but should be interesting to see the nearby feature.
Starting point is 00:22:40 Yeah. We'll see. We'll see. Sounds cool. Good stuff. What what's next here on to our football yes football advertising oh yeah bud light helps football fans cover beer costs to celebrate nfl's return bud light is heralding the return of professional football with a kickoff beers campaign centered on cracking open the first can on game day. Hallelujah. Right? I like cold beer.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Bud Light is also reimbursing beer costs for the first 50 fans who tweet their cash app at its Twitter account with the hashtag hashtag kickoff beers and sweepstakes ahead of kickoff each Sunday this season. Hallelujah. This is amazing. Hallelujah. Just pay for my beer, baby.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Right? You know? That Bud Light Next starts adding up like $16 a 12- baby right you know that's like next starts adding up like 16 a 12 pack you know like i'm good for like four of those a weekend like it's kind of like tis the damn season season those things are so light too on the summer and out in the boat and like i'll be like picking those things out of the cooler on a saturday and i'm like 14 in and i'm like, feeling nothing. Maybe not 14,
Starting point is 00:23:47 but at least 12 because the 12s are gone by about four 30 in the afternoon. And, uh, they just go down like water. Yeah. Refreshing. And they don't like, it's,
Starting point is 00:23:57 I think I could probably drink 50 of them and be totally, totally buzzed. I don't think you're wrong. I'm not like, you know, right. But like, I don't think I'd ever,
Starting point is 00:24:10 you know, you drink liquor or something, you can get over the mountain pretty quickly, you know, falling right off. Like the first thing you, Hey, I'm at the peak and Oh,
Starting point is 00:24:18 I'm at the bottom, you know, like pretty quick on some liquor, but most like beer and this kind of like, I don't know. I feel like I just, I get to a peak of a buzz with kind of like i don't know i feel like there's i get to a peak of a buzz with it but i don't like yeah it's a good thing you can sustain it but uh totally you know which is sort of dangerous it's summertime people but you can get it paid for so it's fine yeah yeah we need next to
Starting point is 00:24:39 kick in some bucks here yeah there you go if especially if they could at least sponsors if we're not going to at least get... Start hashtagging on all of our posts. I do like this though. Yeah. Kick off beers campaign. I mean, what's more synonymous? Americana. Yeah, Americana.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Then beer and pizza. And especially like a lot of this is happening because we are two years after this insane lockdown and we're all together again. And brands are really selling community you know i gotta remember to tweet my cash app there i'm gonna have to reinstall my cash app before that didn't work my thing right then you guys but like my iphone offs like puts more apps now than it used to. Like apps that I don't use. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:29 I don't remember it doing as many as it does now. No, mine's the same way. I don't use something for like a month, like four or five weeks. You got to redownload it. I'm like, I didn't open it three months ago. Like a month ago. Damn. No, mine's the same way.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Kind of annoying. I'm going to wait 10 seconds to use it. I want this app now. Instant gratification. Yes. All right. Little Caesars deepens new NFL deal. They are the official pizza provider of the NFL.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Yes. Congratulations to them. I want to give them a real pat's off. Well done, Caesars. Yeah. Little Caesars in June took over from Pizza Hut and became the official sponsor of the NFL with just 10 days until the season kicks off. The pizza chain, which bills itself as the third largest in the world, has detailed the elements of its multi-year partnership. There's some new spots with Matthew Stafford.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Check those out. Pretty fun. I checked those out. Pretty fun. The, you know, like there's something throwing me off with like little Caesar and a hut, you know,
Starting point is 00:26:31 pizza hut. Oh yeah. It could be a really good, like competitive spot. Like little, like the Caesar shutting down. Oh yeah. Look at that. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:40 See, there's a free idea for you. It's like with his club or something. It doesn't see like a little seizure guy. Shut the hut. Yeah, yeah. Have a little spear. Shut the hut.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Pizza, pizza. Pretty good there. Shut the hut. Thank you. Not bad. Thank you. Not bad. Not bad.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Learn from the best. Hey, now you're, now you're, you just got a raise. I have two. Perfect. Great. See how this works, Nick? It's the shallow compliments. All takes.
Starting point is 00:27:03 All takes. And don't be over 25. This next one I love, but it's the shallow compliments all takes all takes and don't be over 25 um this next one i love but it's involving clothing so of course i do heinz drops a ketchup stained vintage collection to celebrate sustainability the heinz vintage drip collection is sourced from the available exclusively on thread up which is like a res website, and includes 157 streetwear and designer pieces that all have a ketchup stain. The vintage collection comes as Gen Z and millennial consumers embrace thrifting as a part of their sustainability efforts.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I can't talk. All proceeds go to Rise Against Hunger in support of global hunger relief, rounding out the purpose-driven effort. You know, they really didn't have to come up with this campaign. They could just come raid my shirt drawer and easily find 157 elements of stains on stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:54 There you go. I'm the worst. But is it Heinz? It could probably pass for that. Enough of them. I have at least 47 that are probably ketchup or mustard stage or who knows what.
Starting point is 00:28:04 I am the worst about dropping shit on my clothes. So is my brother. It's like a running joke. I'm like a little kid. I could be really paying attention and trying not to do it. And you're still wearing white today. I mean, that's bold. Hey, you know.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Tempting fate over here. I know, but it's not good. Grease stained or something. Do you always have a Tide pen? Do you have to Tide pen stuff out? I used to. I actually keep one in the book bag. I don't anymore.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Now you've just accepted it about yourself? Yeah. It's not good. You get stains on your neck? Yeah, I keep a Tide pen. Oh, yeah. We're all wearing white today. Look at us go.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Yes, this is fun. I don't know if I want to wear a stained shirt or not. I've got to see this in action. Does it really look like a stain like mine? Like really bad and buried in? They don't look gross. I will say that. They don't look gross.
Starting point is 00:28:58 They might be good washed in. Okay. There we go. Yeah. Kind of like a polo symbol but uh staying yeah like a swoop that could be like a new uh what do you call it logo for their uh lapel or there you go you know yeah a little pin ketchup Heinz needs to come in I got mustard too Heinz mustard but not what's the best mustard French's that's my favorite
Starting point is 00:29:26 yeah yellow mustard they had the donuts right like the spicy different kinds of spicy mustard I can taste the difference yellow mustard
Starting point is 00:29:33 I don't know if my palate's discernible sure as refined like a spice the differences in the the spice like a Dijon
Starting point is 00:29:40 or something yeah the layers of how Dijon it gets okay I can pick up on that. But if you gave me a blind taste test of like. Frenchism, Laura Lynn, you wouldn't. Laura Lynn and, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Right, right. Like seven generic brands. I don't think I could discern one difference. No, me either. You know. Me either. I'm dipping corn dogs in it. Right.
Starting point is 00:30:01 I love corn dogs. God. So good. Last one. Last article. Hyundai targets millennials dogs. God. So good. Last one. Last article. Hyundai targets millennials and Gen Z. Millennials, Gen Z. That's like, what are we arguing here?
Starting point is 00:30:13 Zillennials. Zillennials. Hyundai's marketing campaign across digital channels sees the automaker targeting millennial and Gen Z consumers. It comes as Netflix seeks to work with marketers in advance of the launch of its ad-supported tier. Soul Vibe is set during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and features a car chase making a perfect fit for the South Korean automaker. So retro campaign. It's going to be interesting how they bring this to life.
Starting point is 00:30:41 It's going to be like once the ad tier launches launches are we going to see these in advance of that promoting Netflix like on, you know, linear TV. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:30:51 because it's coming quickly. That's all there's going to be like seven bucks for ad supported. Yep. That's what I saw. a little less than half. And when does it kick in?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Is that, that's not released yet. By the end of the year, I think. That's what I thought. Or like January 1. I don't know. Would you buy the ad support,
Starting point is 00:31:06 like, do either one of you buy Netflix? Yeah. I have the normal. Okay. Yeah. Would you cut,
Starting point is 00:31:13 you pay probably 15, 20 bucks, whatever it is. Would you cut it to seven for the ads? No. I would because I don't, like Netflix is not my go-to.
Starting point is 00:31:23 I watch Prime and HBO more I wouldn't do ad supported HBO I know that's not a thing but I think they actually do have ad supported HBO now which I wouldn't do because I watch HBO enough to where I don't want to deal with that I would never want to deal with that I can't watch Game of Thrones or like the new Game of Thrones
Starting point is 00:31:40 whatever it's called House of Dragons commercials on it but I would do it for Netflix because I don watch netflix a ton but that's just me yeah i don't know that once once that genie's i can't go back with that i don't know like it drives me nuts with hulu i will say because i had i had like non-ad supported and now i have that supported and i get very annoyed irrationally so it's gonna be interesting for them how many new people they bring to the party or how many 15 people cut to seven yeah yeah that's a good that's a good thought they need new customers and and not to lose i mean theoretically they're
Starting point is 00:32:21 making up the money with the ad dollars if they do drop down. But I think they want more new subscribers. And my other thought is, are we going to get ad supported? And then they're going to find a way to track all of the account sharing that happens. So you can't share accounts with all of your family members. And that's why you go in with a lower subscription. You know what's going to be going down? You know, Bobby shares with me the non-ad supported version.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And you're just giving me this ad supported login. The weirdest thing about like. You know what? You're not even coming. I'm not making you dinner tonight. No, the weirdest thing about like breaking up with somebody. I don't know if I'm talking like a mom. Breaking up with somebody in like in the year of our Lord 2020, whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:00 When you have shared. Has this happened to you? When you have like shared accounts. You're going to get social shame based on. Do you have the ad support? He still uses my Disney Plus, but like I'm using his Netflix. Like, it's a whole thing.
Starting point is 00:33:11 That would be, hey, I'm going to give a free idea and if anyone takes it before me, then you know what? It's karma on you. I think ad support is a good t-shirt or hat.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Like saying, I love that. Ad supported. We're all at, you know. Yeah, yeah know yeah yeah that's kind of funny that's yeah that's cute that's cute not bad that's not terrible nick i'd wear that that's important there you go yeah i am ad supported literally right it's good market good add agency t-shirt good little niche i think it's kind of good team t-shirt. Good little niche. Those would be kind of fun I think it's kind of good anyway. team t-shirts, you know? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Store that away. Yeah, store it away. And if anyone takes it before we get to it, then there you go. There's a freebie. Copyright trademark. If you want the real good ones,
Starting point is 00:33:53 you got to call me and pay for it. Not the knockoffs? No. Even though I do like Shut the Hut. Thank you. That's a winner. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:03 If I was Little Caesars, I'd be running that. You're welcome. Yes. Uh, that's all for today. That's all we got.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And final words from the dream team here. Go Tigers. Hey, yeah, I'll second that. Yeah. Tigers. Tigers.
