Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast. Here is the Radcast News. It's Friday, November 11th, 2022. Our weekly marketing, business, and all kinds of world news. I'm joined today by the wondrous, the marvelous, the spectacular producer of the Radcast, Nicholas Weaver. What's up, brother? What's going on? How y'all doing? Nick for everybody that knows Nick.
Starting point is 00:00:30 But, you know, I feel like I needed to give you the full name, you know, Nicholas. Something kind of like, I don't know, powerful about Nicholas, you know. I always think like, I don't know, Daddy Warbucks, Nicholas. Yeah, I think my name means victory of the people or something like that. Hey, you're a man of the people. That's what it is. You good today, brother? Yeah, man, doing good.
Starting point is 00:00:52 It's good to have you. Thanks. You know, we're working through our news episodes. Nick's going to join me from time to time. Ray, who's our director of operations and media here at the agency, will get on here. And we might have some special guests every now and then. You never know. You know, we can, we do whatever the hell we want here.
Starting point is 00:01:08 You know, we make up the rules as we go. There are no roads. Kind of drives Nick crazy. It might drive Nick crazy sometimes. The mind of an entrepreneur, you know, you're figuring it out. You know how it goes. That's right. Speaking of how it goes, you know, we're, we're in the cozy Radcast studio here.
Starting point is 00:01:28 And it's feeling extra cozy now. We've got a little new decor. Got our wall of fame is what I'd call it. Some of our most known names on the show. Showing off some of those from old Grant cardone all the way down to austin hope austin hope actually i want to give a shout out to austin who's right there uh actually his winery hope family wineries are just named winery of the year in america that's some big fucking news let me tell you winery of the year in paso robles it doesn't happen folks it's always these nappa names
Starting point is 00:02:03 but austin's kicking ass taking names he's going to be coming on the show here soon to talk about that and you know what we might actually fly out to freaking Paso Robles and do it right in his damn wine field
Starting point is 00:02:12 that's what we need to do Austin if you're listening why don't you carve out a little spot for us we're going to go pop some bottles right there he better restart making some champagne
Starting point is 00:02:23 but hats off to him hey hats off to him literally and figuratively Ronald's right there. He better restart making some champagne. But hats off to him. Hey, hats off to him, literally and figuratively. Got my boy Howie P., Howard Paynes up there, Bruce Buffer, Marty Smith, the Bachelor, Jesse Palmer. We got everybody and anybody. And, of course, the lovely Heidi Montag, who's having a baby at any moment. Heidi, if you're listening, you need to go.
Starting point is 00:02:47 She looks ready. Spencer's got to be pumped. Got another child on the way. So congrats to them. But we're excited about our wall of fame. That's going to keep growing here on the Radcast. So a great job by Nick with all the art direction there, my man. Thanks a lot. I think they turned out pretty nice. They did. You a man of many talents. You know, we've got a few, a little bit of intro small talk here. I saw this.
Starting point is 00:03:12 It kind of caught my attention. And I always was a Friends fan growing up. But Jennifer Aniston had a Variety magazine slash online article come out where she said there's no more movie stars. She hates social media. And I like Jennifer Aniston. This is nothing personal against her. I just found it was actually insightful for me because here's the deal. Social media has leveled the playing field for being known. And movie stars don't really love it because, you know, used to be they got to be rich and famous and all these things because they were on TV. They were on movies. And these are the only avenues for really personal brand building. It was more exclusive.
Starting point is 00:03:56 More exclusive. And now with social media, social media has been around for a long time. So this isn't new, but certain people are just now coming around to what the opportunity is and that's for anyone to truly be quote unquote famous i like to use the word known actually trademarking the name it pays to be known so it pays to be known it pays to be known and i think people haven't embraced this enough and that's why i'm super pumped about the coaching that i'm about to launch. Nick and I just finished filming this. We're in the editing phase.
Starting point is 00:04:29 It's going to be launching in like two weeks. Personal brand engineering. It is engineering because there's a science. There's a method to the madness. And this went right in line with that because I think, you know, the stars hate it because the playing field's even. And, yeah, we can all be annoyed that this TikTok person or personality or the next is suddenly, you know, insta-famous or whatever. But don't hate the player.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Hate the game, you know. Or play the game. And so we're going to teach you how to do that with our coaching that's launching. If you follow me on Instagram, drop me your email. That's the best way to get involved with that. We've got a lot of stuff coming. We're days away from some more official announcements on it, but this really played right into it. And I'm pretty pumped about it, Nick. Sure did. Yeah. I'm pumped about all the releases for that. We got, and look, keep me honest here, Nick. You know, you were watching, you're listening. It's not 101.
Starting point is 00:05:25 It's not YouTube regurgitated. We got some tricks up our sleeve. It felt like I didn't know, but it's like I started to kind of outline things and it started coming out. I was like, this is the secret sauce right here. Yeah, I felt like I should be paying just for recording it. Yes, yes, yes. I'll pay you later.
Starting point is 00:05:45 No, but in all seriousness, it did feel that way. And so I hope everybody will check that out. If you're trying to grow your personal brand, and look, I got a lot of people, a lot of people that I follow, people that I trust that hate the word personal brand. I don't love it either. But here's what it is.
Starting point is 00:05:58 That's people understand it when I say it. You got to amplify your knowledge, amplify your point of view. You got to be, get it out there. And so, and yes, you need a point of view. You got to get it out there. And yes, you need a point of view and not just you standing in front of a BMW going, I'm cool. That shit isn't valuable. But everyone has a story to be told and social media gives you the avenue to tell it. And I'm going to show you how to get known and get it out there.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Pays to be known. It pays to be known. Speaking of being pays to be known, Elon Musk knows that game himself. Mr. Elon. Mr. Elon. He's been laying out the plans for Twitter pretty actively, trying to get those advertisers not scared.
Starting point is 00:06:37 He did a webinar this week where he launched or announced they're going to be doing payment processing. And he was one of the co-founders of PayPal, actually. That's right. So, and leaning into video. So he wants to take on all players in social media. He doesn't want to keep it just about the tweet. It's going to be all about the deets.
Starting point is 00:06:56 And it's going to be. I'm excited for leaning into video. Yeah, I think it'd be cool. I want to see where Elon takes it. Like, I don't know, like, again, I don't agree with everything the guy says, but I do like the innovation that he tends to bring to everything. So, yeah, that's right. He wants to go further and do the things that people aren't willing to take on.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Yeah, exactly. And so I don't like people getting fired. But like if they truly had that much fluff and they had it and they're not making money, then you got to you're like, money, then you're allowed to make changes because you're not publicly held anymore. You own it. That's right. So, again, I think there's still an opportunity on Twitter. We're going to talk about that a little bit in our social media news. And speaking of news, Radcast News, if you didn't listen, Michael Newell was on the
Starting point is 00:07:45 episode this week, an undiscovered unknown. It's out there in plain view, but a really great investment opportunity that people don't think about with real estate. I'm going to tease it a little bit because I want you to watch it because Michael was really insightful, super down to earth, a great guy, and he's killing it. Net worth almost like a hundred million dollars, and you wouldn't know it. And literally broke it down for how to take advantage of this undeveloped real estate opportunity. And it's not where you think, and the data sort of lies, so you need to go check it out. Michael was great. Next week, my good friend, I'm becoming buddies with this guy. I really love this guy.
Starting point is 00:08:25 He's the most down to earth, like successful entrepreneur that I feel like I've gotten to know this level. Chris Hansen, who I met and was lucky enough to meet through my man, Howie P at Think Billions. It's going to be the first of many Think Billions releases we have. Short episode, 20, 25 minutes. Chris is the co-founder and partner for several companies, including Genesis Reference Labs, Vacay, which is a CBD company, the Refinery Med Spa, and Boss Blood Kennels. And we might just be partnering on what's going to be the biggest, baddest, coolest lab-grown diamonds venture in the U.S. So, excited about that. Yeah, I'm excited about that one, too.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah, it's going to be fun. And going to get on the ground floor. But Chris is awesome. You're going to love his personality. You need to listen. And I know you'll get a lot of value from that. I did. And just be blessed to know him.
Starting point is 00:09:19 He's a good guy. Really good guy. That's right. I mean, you were there, Nick. We were out in Palm Desert at Howie Pease. That's right. I mean, you were there, Nick, and we were out in Palm Desert at Howie Pease. That's right. So, I mean, didn't you think Chris was just like so even keeled? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So down to earth. Yeah. Good guy. Yeah. Super good guy. Looking forward to working with him. Yeah. So we're excited about that.
Starting point is 00:09:38 That launches next week. That's Tuesday on all the normal channels, including our video channels, Instagram and YouTube, where we're now doing a 10-minute episode. So I want to make sure we plug that. If you want to watch the shortened condensed version, 10-minute episodes on Instagram now available for all of our shows the last few months and moving forward. So try to meet people where they are. We don't all have 40 minutes, 50 minutes sometimes, but you want to watch something condensed. We're really enjoying that format. Get the condensed version value packed. There you go. Speaking of value packed our sponsor as always branded bills, branded bills.com.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Get all your hats, sweatshirts, hoodies, beanies, everything. Great. I'm normally rocking it. No hat today. I had a client meeting, you know, so try to keep, keep the do going. You know, I'm talking about Nick. Nick's got the best do in business over there. He's got the best flow.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Nick's hair is a, is legit. You need to watch that 10, 10 minute. Actually it's a full episode of the news of this. You need to check it out just for, just to see Nick's hair is legit. You need to watch that 10-minute, actually it's a full episode of the News of the District. You need to check it out just to see Nick's hair. He's got a- You can see it laughing in person right now. He's got more product than Amazon on that thing, but it is good.

We've got some exciting partners actually coming down the road. Speaking of coming down the road, we've got lots, not lots. We've got like four key social holidays. And this first one, we have a good time on the Radcast. We like to kid about certain things, but we're not going to kid about this. My dad's a veteran. A lot of my friends are veterans. And today is Veterans Day.
Starting point is 00:12:22 That's right. So get out there and thank your lucky stars for all the veterans that have served so that we can all do what we want to do, talk like we want to talk, have shows like this. Freedom is not free. Freedom is not free. And we can't forget that. So I want to send a heart help, real thanks to all the veterans out there for your service. And we appreciate you more than we could ever convey. That's right.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Sunday, speaking of just being nice to people in general, is World Kindness Day. Yeah, that's a good day. I like World Kindness Day. Anything's planned there, Nick? Are you going to go like pet some dogs? Might be kind to myself and take a little relaxation. Oh, there you go. Hey, I mean, you could be kind to numero uno.
Starting point is 00:13:14 That's right. Sometimes you have to. Yes. You know what? It reminds me. So one of my, my first job was actually washing dishes. And I did a little post on this i've washed the macaroni dishes at meat and three glorious everyone should wash dishes as their first job
Starting point is 00:13:30 it'll teach you grit sure will uh but my second job was at a uh vhs tape uh this is a competitor blockbuster called Movies. And we used to have these things, little stickers that we had to put on. It says, be kind, rewind. So on kindness day, we don't have to do that anymore. But it reminded me of that because it was a pain in the ass. We'd get those tapes back. You know how many hours I spent rewinding tapes that people, we had in the back room, like I'd sit, they'd be like,
Starting point is 00:14:06 the only job you didn't want, you'd be sitting there going, and you had no smartphone to kill time in between those things rewinding. You're like lost in your own sauce in your mind. Just mindless. Putting in tapes,
Starting point is 00:14:18 waiting on them to rewind. World of pure imagination. So all you, I don't know, youngsters out there, they've never had to deal with uh rewinding you guys don't even know what those calluses look like you know having to having to deal with it it's just push button so easy you know nick you guys didn't have any of
Starting point is 00:14:36 the i had the vhs i mean were you four you press stop and hit rewind that's you know that's about it i don't know about the calluses and all that. Oh, you know, I was like walking through the snow, you know, like with bare feet. Like, it's just kind of an overstatement that we all do.
Starting point is 00:14:52 November 15th, I believe that's Tuesday, clean out your refrigerator day. We need to have this here at our offices, man. That thing needs to be cleaned out. You know, that's not it.
Starting point is 00:15:07 You going to get in on that? You going to clean out your refrigerator on Tuesday, Nick? You know, I think I am. You can always, you know, you can always straighten up your refrigerator, get a little cleaner. Does yours get a little unwieldy? Yeah, I'm so busy, you know, just it does sometimes. What's the worst thing that surprised you in the refrigerator before? Oh, dear. Oh, well.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Old leftovers or something? Yeah, you know, something gets hidden at the back and you don't see it for a couple months and then you do and it's questionable. That's the gift that keeps on giving. When you take it out and you're like, ooh, man, what's growing in there? Yeah. I don't know. So November 15th clean out your refrigerator day so get it on your list that should be like a once a week thing
Starting point is 00:15:50 this drives me crazy here like and i'd go in there and i'd think about it and then i forget so clean out your refrigerator day november 16th couldn't not mention this one uh next i guess wednesday national entrepreneurs. So I think we need to congratulate all the entrepreneurs out there. Nope. There we go. There we go. There we go. More appropriate. I think the screaming was actually more appropriate for what most entrepreneurs end up doing in the first year. It's not easy being an entrepreneur. No, it's not at all. Takes grit. Takes grit, takes patience and takes a lot of, I don't know, risk, risk reward.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Yeah, bounce back. So Wednesday, National Entrepreneur's Day. There's your social holidays. So we got some social media news today. First and foremost, Instagram. I saw this. This seems like late to the game, but like finally rolling out new in-app post-scheduling.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Finally. Yeah. Surprised you that wasn't already there? Yeah, it did. I think it's gonna be great for like reels and stuff. Like even though we use scheduling software for certain things, the reels scheduling is wonky.
Starting point is 00:17:05 And so maybe in-app will be a little better. Yeah, maybe a little more high quality. Yeah. And what happens with the app or some of the scheduling software it has, you can't get the exact thumbnail you want when and where. Exactly. That's critical. You have to have the thumbnail.
Starting point is 00:17:20 And you got to. It's like all these little things with getting it right. There's nothing worse. Man, I fucking hate it when we'll post like something it's like it's the best video best video ever and then you get on your feed and your thumbnail is like black it's like the back of your back of your head or the back of your head like oh we didn't get that then you're then you're debating do we delete it it's gonna kill the algorithm yeah do we delete it and repost oh no yeah delete or delete or repost oh my i don't know do you do you delete and repost if you do it oh if the thumbnail's bad you got to yeah so uh
Starting point is 00:17:54 instagram's new post scheduling option will enable you to schedule post carousels and reels directing the app up to 75 days in advance so So, hey, get your Christmas reels done right now. You know, just go out there and get them done. Get them posted. Get them scheduled. Schedule and take the rest of the month off. If it were only that easy. If it were only that easy.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Other social media news. We talked about Elon Musk earlier. And I said this last week with a little bit of challenge with my good friend Christina. I thought she didn't know what she was talking about. And according to Elon Musk, she didn't, which is Twitter's usage is an all time high as he continues to throw around ideas. The app is constantly in the news cycle. And that makes sense to me. So, yeah, it makes sense.
Starting point is 00:18:42 He's out there like him, love or hate him. So people are on Twitter. They want to see whether you think it's the train wreck gone bad or you just want to see what's going to happen next. It's drawing attention to the app. And so people are on it. There may be lots of people dropping off because they don't want to pay to be verified or whatever.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Couldn't handle that $8. Yeah, but more people are on it wanting to see what happens so every article that gets written about him and the platform someone's going on twitter to check it out that probably wasn't doing it six months ago yeah i wouldn't be surprised if he's not the number one topic in the world outside of social media i mean everybody's talking about him you you know it pays to be known. It sure does. And it pays to be in the news. And so he's constantly staying in it.
Starting point is 00:19:29 And so we'll see where it goes. He's got a lot of work to do. He's got to make it profitable. He's got to do a lot of things. But I wouldn't bet against him. I'll just say that. So if you're pulling off your ads from Twitter and it makes sense, great. But I do think there's eyeballs there.
Starting point is 00:19:45 There's opportunity there, potentially some value to be had here over the next few months with getting your target to see your message. So I think I might run some radcast stuff there. So we'll see. That's where the attention is. I know Yon's hurting. So I'm going to send him some more money.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Yeah, he needs it. He's struggling so bad he can cash out like you know one one one one millionth of his uh stocks to uh cover like his daily needs or whatever marketing news we got a we got several things there's some fun things that people are doing for the holidays i think you can take inspiration for this if you're marketing out there how you borrow interest how you can leverage partnerships I think you can take inspiration for this if you're marketing out there. How you borrow interest, how you can leverage partnerships, and how you can grow.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Some of these are on a high level, but I think they can all be scaled at different levels, which is why I liked these articles in particular. Anheuser-Busch buys Major League Picketball team as the sport booms. Pickleball. You played it? I've never played it, but all my friends are talking about it. pickleball you played it i've never played it but all my friends are talking about it i haven't played it either nicole and i've been talking about picking it up it looks fun it looks like a game i could really kick some ass into if kevin drake can do
Starting point is 00:20:57 it yeah and it's like but it's i get why it's popular because I always loved tennis. But you do have to have a certain skill set, and the court is big, and the ball moves so fast. You do have to move your ass around. You got to be moving and have some agility and, like, coordination that it's hard to kind of play varying skills levels. It's kind of like golf. And golf has handicapping. But, like, I got good at golf,
Starting point is 00:21:24 and I didn't want to play with shitty people because like it's annoying it just takes too long and tennis the same thing i would play with people and i would suck and i'd be playing someone good i'm like they're not having fun you know like because i can't keep it going you know like i was athletic enough to hit it hard but it might land in the parking lot or you know you never knew it was gonna go so you might break your ankle but pickleball makes sense so it could see where a lot of schools that so the ball doesn't move but so fast court smaller kind of it's almost in between ping pong and tennis yes and the offers get serious about some ping pong let me tell you we got an outdoor table at our
Starting point is 00:22:02 house oh buddy and speaking of ping pong i'm glad you brought that up yeah we got to show them let's take a look here oh yeah you know you've made it when you've got radcast ping pong balls closer perfect oh yeah holding this up for the camera might be bad for the audio but you'll get over it it. The Radcast ping pong balls came in. Yes. Because we're serious about ping pong. The Alford family. I'm going to have to start playing with those.
Starting point is 00:22:33 So yeah, they have to hit better, I imagine. They drop it like it's hot. Yeah, if not, they're lucky. Pickleball is picking up and Anheuser-Busch bought a freaking team the buy-in grants the company a founding partnership with the mlp major league pickleball hey you down with mlp yeah you know me they should do a remix of that song yeah i'll get charlie on that one mlp you know me all right control over one of the league's extension teams as well as over aspects
Starting point is 00:23:08 such as who the team drafts and who can become a sponsor. I need to get drafted in that. We need like a Radcast MLP team. Yeah. Maybe the Radcast will buy a pickleball team where we'll create our own. Partnership comes just a few weeks after Vizzy, team yeah maybe the rad castle by a pickleball team where we'll create our own partnership comes just a few weeks after vizzy owned by rival company more excuse me molson cores became the official hard seltzer of the professional pickleball associates we got mlp we got ppa
Starting point is 00:23:38 you know all kinds of p pickleball has seen a rapid uptick in popularity, growing 11.5% on average over the past years with a 21.3% growth rate between 2019 and 2020 alone. Impressive. So Pickleball is blowing up and all sponsors are coming for it. So we got to get in there. I think we need to get out and record some content on some pickleball. You know,
Starting point is 00:24:08 I don't know. I don't know what that's going to look like, but kind of want to play some. Have you seen the balls? Like they kind of look, they're kind of like a big, slower tennis ball, right?
Starting point is 00:24:16 That's what it looks like to me. Yeah. We can do our research and talk more about all this pickleball stuff. All this pickleball stuff's got me interested, man. We might have to form a little radical league out there. I know. I wonder if they're going to have it. We're the new Unity Park here in Greenville, South Carolina.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I wonder if they're going to have some pickleball courts over there. Well, I know they did one for kickball that we did. That was pretty fun. Yeah. There's basketball courts here now. I brought the boys up and we dropped some J's in their eye.
Starting point is 00:24:47 You know, they cried a little bit, but there is right next to us. So, good way to christen the brand new court. It is. Speaking of christening,
Starting point is 00:24:58 Southern Comfort, it's great shot glass pants for Thanksgiving. I've already, I'm already getting on this here. Did you order both of them? I'm going to wear them on the Radcast.
Starting point is 00:25:09 They're coming in next week. The unisex branded drawstring pants feature a pocket perfectly fit to carry around a shot glass. There you go. They can also be turned inside out for a fancy pants option. Fancy pants, which are plain black so the consumer can wear them two days in a row without judgment. Oh, fancy pants. Which are plain black so the consumer can wear them two days in a row without judgment.
Starting point is 00:25:29 That's my favorite part. Oh, I really like this a lot. I guess you drink it first before you put the shot glass back in there. Is that how it works? Pull it out at any time. That's the tagline. Pull it out at any time. That's the tagline. Pull it out at any time. Southern comfort drawstring pants. Oh, shot glass pants. Look, this is great branding and fun for the
Starting point is 00:25:58 holidays. You know, get out of your own way, leaning to your brand. Southern comfort. This just makes sense to me um i would totally wear these wouldn't you yeah i would wear them but maybe not two days in a row yeah i might uh but but you think about having people probably stay in the same clothes like that thanksgiving or friday and saturday like after thanksgiving after you've uh used that shot glass you might be staying in them two days. You might wake up still in them. Still got the shot glass and the pants. Just make sure you flip them before you pass out.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Switch them back over so that everything's in a fresh pair. This is fun. This is good brand extension. It's a perfect time of year for it. Don't take yourself too seriously. Burger King teams with Call of Duty for expansive international promo. All right, people, here's what this is about.
Starting point is 00:26:52 If you're 13 to 21 or even 25, no one's freaking watching TV. So the only way to get to this target is through video games, apps, on the phone, etc. Call of Duty is one of the most popular games. You got to go where your target is. It's one of the biggest quick service restaurants. They're huge with the gaming crowd. Burger King will offer players special in-game rewards, including a Burger Town-themed operator skin
Starting point is 00:27:27 and an hour of double XP playing time. Good old Burger Town. In which gamers can double their points earned for a limited time. Both rewards will be available for the purchase of Call of Duty and the Whopper meal. Burger Town is a fictional quick service chain within the game. Oh, yeah. I remember that. meal. Burger Town is a fictional quick service chain within the game. Oh, yeah. I remember that.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Good old Burger Town. It makes sense for Burger King to be part of Burger Town there. A little reminiscent there. This is just all about how you get to the target, the right place at the right time. I mean, if I'm sitting there playing some Call of Duty, you don't think I want a Whopper? Yeah, I would.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Yeah, I mean, mean modern warfare 2 is i think it's crossed the 1 billion sales mark faster than any other uh video game of the modern times which is pretty impressive if you think about it it crosses a lot of things i think there's like 40 year old dudes playing this and 21 year old girls playing like i think it's like it hits a lot of like segments my kids are more still playing uh i don't know roblox and certain things we're starting to venture more towards this area it's like whether or not i want to let them you know really start banging it up like i don't know they're mature enough but they're not asking for it so we let them just stay on uh fortnight well more pg there but now the shirt but now my kids are getting more into madden which i'm excited about i mean i was
Starting point is 00:28:52 like totally i know you're excited about that playing a little mad i put i got i dropped two of my boys hudson and hogan played uh played me and madden Let's just say old daddy dropped a hammer on him. It was like 35-0 at the half. Needless to say, that game got turned off early. Back to Fortnite. Still got it. Yeah. Still got it.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Having to learn all those new moves, though, kind of hard to do. I really like the old college football games. That's supposed to be coming back now. It's classic. Now with name, image, and likeness, like figured out, supposedly they're going to be bringing college football back. That'd be interesting to see how that plays out
Starting point is 00:29:33 with the name, image, likeness things and the video games. They started getting paid to be on the game. That's right. So we'll see. Finally today, Miller Lite taps into the holidays with Tree Keg Stand. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:48 At first when I read this, I was like, keg stand. You know, that's kind of all I heard. But it's actually just a stand that your tree sits on, but it's on top of the keg. Dang it. I thought I was going to be doing a keg stand on top of my Christmas tree. Miller Lite unveiled a Christmas tree keg stand as top of my christmas tree miller light unveiled a christmas tree keg stand as the newest addition to its holiday merchandise lineup according to a press release the stands are large enough to fit around a quarter barrel keg and are designed to make it
Starting point is 00:30:16 look as if beer is being poured from the tree it's pretty creative yes i love it the keg stands were inspired by the success of mineralites ornaments beer ornaments which debuted last year and looked much like a traditional ornament but served as a vessel for beer the molson course brand holiday collection will again include the beer ornaments and a festive line of knitwear. The tree stands, which go on sale starting yesterday for $49.99. Other festive products follow the brewer's strategy of creative branded merchandise. This is fun. It makes sense. You know?
Starting point is 00:30:56 Don't take it too seriously. How do you lean into these holidays? You get stuff that builds brand awareness. You make a little change with the products themselves, but it's really more about a brand play than anything. How many freaking beer tree cake stands are they going to sell? I don't know. Probably more than we think.
Starting point is 00:31:13 At least one. I don't know what my wife would go for, but you know, if you're a single guy or girl out there, you can probably pull it off. Nick, you should have one of these. Oh, trust me. I'm getting one. And we're going to come back and report on it, right? And I'm going to come do a keg stand on it.
Starting point is 00:31:28 That's great. We'll do it. We'll make that part of the Radcast episode. How about that? Yes. Keg stands, tree keg stands. So it's fun. And this is how you have extension of your brand in a fun way.
Starting point is 00:31:41 And there's no reason anyone can't take care of this. Because, again, if you're a smaller company, you can do a limited run of these kind of things. And a fun way. And there's no reason anyone can't take care of this because again, if you're a smaller company, you can do a limited run of these kinds of things and you, you build attention, you get articles written on you like this. It's all about PR sometimes. And being in the news matters. Even if the news is online,
Starting point is 00:31:58 it's no longer about TV. It's all about articles and awareness and people talking about, get some people to talk about entertain or educate. That's what you have to do. This will be a huge social thing. I'm sure they have all kinds of organic content, people sharing how they set it up, what they did.
Starting point is 00:32:14 And you get people talking. That's marketing in 2022. That's right. Nick, a tight 32 minute episode here. Any final words from you today? Oh, well, just kind of have to bring it back to the old theme of today, which is it pays to be known.
