Starting point is 00:01:27 I'm joined, as always, by Christina Yossi. In my yellow glasses. Mr. Nick Weaver on the ones and twos. Yo, yo. What's happening? What's happening? Not much. It's a blustery day here in South Carolina.
Starting point is 00:01:41 It is getting blustery. It feels good, though. Yeah. Our pre-hurricane weather. Yes. It is getting blustery. It feels good, though. Yeah. Our pre-hurricane weather. Yes. It's gusty. And it's been a hurricane. Anyone that's been impacted, definitely want to send our thoughts out there.
Starting point is 00:01:54 It looks, I mean, I don't know all the numbers or anything yet. No, I don't either. It looks pretty nasty. Yeah. I've seen some pictures of uprooted trees, and that's about it. I don't know. It's, you just. That's why I would never live in Florida.
Starting point is 00:02:04 When you live on the coast, it's like, you know, like I would just, I would, I guess you always have to have it in the back of your mind a little bit. No,
Starting point is 00:02:10 thank you. But then it probably goes just long enough because you know how we are as humans. Right. It's kind of like a woman having a baby. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:17 You know, like you'd never do it again. We block it out. We block things out. And I've never had one, but I just know because I just imagine. I just imagine. I'm like, how do you go through that?
Starting point is 00:02:27 How do you put yourself through it more than once? And then the same thing with a hurricane. Like, okay, it happens, but there's probably spread out enough that you're like, okay, we live in a wonderful, it's so awesome here. And oh, shit, there's a hurricane warning. But in all seriousness, we do send our thoughts and prayers out for anyone impacted. You never know. Stay safe. You know, this hit me last night.
Starting point is 00:02:51 It both made me feel old and nostalgic. Coolio passed away. I know. Gangsta's paradise. We talked pre-episode and it made me feel even older. I was like, how old were you guys when that song came out? And I don't think either one of you were out of the womb quite yet.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I was born. It was the year I was born. Yeah. You remember that song? Some say that I brought the gangsters paradise. I'm just kidding. No one says that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:20 There it is. Oh, yeah. You know, this was like, I mean, Gangster's Paradise, which is the first hit, is a little more serious. But Coolio was kind of like that feel-good rapper. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Like, if you didn't like rap, you still liked Coolio.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Yeah. I'm not getting that like that song. It's a bop. It's a fantastic voyage. So, R.I, RIP Coolio. Thanks for everything. I know. Time gets us all, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Indeed. Some earlier than needed. But nostalgia of, yeah, I'm not going to look. The 27 Club. Yeah, exactly. I was a senior in high school. Wow. Yeah. exactly. I was a senior in high school. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:08 The year I was born. You guys just keep me young. That's the goal. That's the goal around here. It's been a good week. Hope everyone checked out Tuesday's episode with Sean Merriman, ex-NFL All-Pro. Lights Out brand. Sean's a great business guy.
Starting point is 00:04:26 He's been through some ups and downs and talked transparently about all his journey and business journey. And, you know, really insightful dude. You know, no matter how you feel about football players and the sport and business and, like, how all this stuff comes together, like, he was very insightful about his upbringing and like you know having a chip on his shoulder where he came from and then you know the ups and downs in business of you know it doesn't just happen and right but
Starting point is 00:04:56 he does seem like a natural business guy and i know he's getting it figured out in his time in the ufc well ufc minor leagues that they're doing with Lights Out. The behemoth that is UFC. But cool. Go check that out. That came out on Tuesday. And then it's interesting. Next week we've got a couple things planned.
Starting point is 00:05:19 And it's either going to be a best of edition. Ooh. Yeah. And so working on some ideas on that. And we've got a few. We have four or five guests that are lined up that I'm excited about. But they all just kind of started to fall towards the end of this month and early next month. So we've been doing a couple re-releases and just kind of reframing a few things for final end of the year push here in the fourth quarter. Yes. uh more to
Starting point is 00:05:46 come on that sprint check out all my social channels you'll see teasers for everything coming up at ryan offer on instagram best place to find anything and everything that's going on or at the dot rad dot cast on instagram to see what's coming um i did want to mention speaking of the radcast if you're looking or you're listening and you're looking to move to the fabulous area that is Greenville, South Carolina, or already here, I am hiring a brand manager for both my personal brand and the Radcast. So there's going to be a combination of social. Yeah, we don't need, we have and use resources all over the world as an agency and as a team.
Starting point is 00:06:26 But this position with just the nature of running a live show and being here with us and helping produce and manage social and everything that's related to my brand and the show, we are looking for someone as a brand and content coordinator. You get to work with us. Yeah. We're a damn delight. We are a delight. But it's a cool, look, it's a cool opportunity. You'll learn a lot. You'll get mentored directly by me.
Starting point is 00:06:53 And then, you know, as our wall here, which is about to get redone, will show shortly. Nick's been working on some great artwork for our wall over here. on some great artwork for our wall over here all intermingling with celebrities football basketball athletes famous founders authors really great opportunity to meet and rub shoulders with some really influential people while managing a top 25 worldwide business podcast so great opportunity if you're interested, DM me, that's the best way to get me on Instagram at Ryan Alford, as I just mentioned, great opportunity. Speaking of great opportunities, think billions is less than a month away.
Starting point is 00:07:34 You need to go to my profile and click on my link tree and you'll find the link to think billions or go to think billions.club for more information on that event, mo movers shakers i'm getting a lot of actually dms on like linkedin and and instagram from people that are attending that didn't know we're coming like some vip guests this is going to be a big event and the radcast is going to be there live nick and i are going to be there recording parts of the of the event with the guests and some of the VIP guests and doing the radcasts on the road.
Starting point is 00:08:07 So we'll be there live and in person. And so if you want more information on that or you're ready to go to the next level, go to thinkbillions.club or click on the link tree. There'll be additional details coming about the final push. We're getting close, people. You've got to start booking your travel. So the clock is ticking.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Speaking of ticking, it's always ticking around here, is my branded Bills gear that I'm going to have on today. I've mixed it up today with my black, with the kind of faux leather patch, but it's fashionable. A little more earthy. Yeah, it goes well with my air jordans uh what doesn't go well with the air jordans though let's be honest uh but think bill excuse
Starting point is 00:08:53 me branded bills i'm getting all my sponsors we have so many sponsors and so many things now so many exciting things happening i'm getting all my websites web wet interwebs messed up but branded bills branded bills., official merchandise sponsor. We just pushed our own order. We did. For some hoodies. Hoodies and beanies. So that will be on full display.
Starting point is 00:09:14 But we're surrounded by a land of hats and merch. And it's because it's the best in the business. That's all we do around here is, look, I'm a hat freak. And I wear, my closet's full of shoes and hats and watches and yes that's true too yes hats watches shoes and 90 of my gear is branded bills it's for a reason it's not i was wearing branded bills before they were responsible and before they were responsible just kidding they've always been. They've always been cool. They've always been cool.
Starting point is 00:09:49 But go to brandofbills.com, enter Radcast20. Yes. Get 20% off your entire order. They also do custom orders, i.e. what we have here. They have incredible designs by state, by American flag, by street wear. They do have some cool. They have a really cool design teams yeah some people that do like
Starting point is 00:10:07 this kind of custom gear like the designs you'll be like eh but I go there every time because I'll be doing some research for like the show or something
Starting point is 00:10:14 I'm like hmm like making my little short list for Christmas or something so uh go check them out radcast20
Starting point is 00:10:22 brandedbills.com tell them we sent you and you'll be glad you did because it's some badass shit. Speaking of badass shit, here's the deal. So we run a full-service digital agency here in Greenville, South Carolina. It's called Radical. And we work with medium to large businesses, anywhere from $50 to $200 million in revenue. There's certainly some outliers in that. But the reality is not everyone can hire an ad agency, and we recognize that,
Starting point is 00:10:54 which is why we were proud to partner with 99 Designs. By Vista. Who is sponsoring today's episode. So by Vista, 99 Designs by Vista. You probably heard the ad at the start of the episode, but want to give them a shout out. And look, you get like 99designs for like minimal cost. Let me tell you. Minimal cost with a discount.
Starting point is 00:11:17 We get 40 bucks off. You go to 99designs.com slash Radcast. You can access all of that info. Yes. And this is how you get stuff done efficiently. So if you're a startup, you're thinking of starting a brand, you need to start slow. Keep the budget light. You need to go to 99designs.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Hey, if you just have an idea and you want to see something conceptual, it's a great way to get it done affordably as well. Yep. 99designs by Vista. Thanks so much for sponsoring today's episode. We've got some social media holidays. We do. Happy International Podcast Day. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Today. Yes, it is. We're going to be doing a giveaway to celebrate, so make sure you're following our social media and participate in that. Yes, yes. Look at us go. International too.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I know. It's not just U.S. podcast day. And it fell on our podcast day too. Amazing. Hey, sometimes the world aligns. Or maybe they did it on purpose. Maybe they're aligning the West now. They were like, we have to.
Starting point is 00:12:16 It's when the red cast drops. This is when we have to do it. Yes. Since we're international. Yes. And tomorrow, Saturday, is International Coffee Day. Hey, coffee and podcasting. Which I celebrate every day.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Yes, you do. I'm an addict. So October 1st is here, folks. Yes. And you need to start it with a coffee or a nice energy drink like I will. Caffeine, caffeine, caffeine. And then Sunday, my hubris, is my birthday. Oh, this is a really good social holiday.
Starting point is 00:12:43 27, it is, yes. You can all follow me and my cat on Instagram. Wish us happy birthday. Oh, this is a really good social holiday. It is, yes. You can all follow me and my cat on Instagram. Wish us happy birthday. Yes. Not that it's his birthday, but I don't know when his is. Do you want to announce how old you are or no? I'm 27. 27?
Starting point is 00:12:55 Christina Yassin. Forget this bullshit age nonsense. I'm proud of my age. I know. You are so old. I am. I mean, I told you pre-episode. Preventative Botox.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I used to think you were like this young thing. Now 27 does sound like older. So I'm too old for Leo DiCaprio. Nick's still a young thing. You're like just, you're just kind of. Yeah, pushing 30. Pushing 30. Pushing 30.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Happy birthday, Erwin. It's great. The older you get, the younger you can date. That's my rule. What's that? The older you get, the younger you can date. There you go. Because you really like all those young guys.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I'm going to become Leo DiCaprio. I'm going to start only dating. Go in a verse order. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. I don't know about that. I don't know how he keeps up with the, I could keep up, but I just, I don't know, the drama
Starting point is 00:13:35 of having to date people over and over again. Yeah. 27 year olds are high maintenance. It's not even this, like, it's just a, just the notion of dating someone different every five months. It's like, you know, it's like, all right dating someone different every five months. It's like, you know, it's like, all right, I would not, I don't want to go back. Yeah. No, Nicole, you're stuck with me.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Monday the 4th. Yes. October 4th, October 4th. Is that the 3rd? I don't know. It's the 4th. It's Monday. Monday the 4th is world animal day and national vodka day. Wow. Yes, it is. Two Day and National Vodka Day. Wow. Yes. It is. Two of my favorite things. Yes. Is Monday the 4th, though, or the 3rd?
Starting point is 00:14:11 Monday's the 3rd, but I think that World Animal Day is the 4th, and I made an error. So I believe it's Tuesday is World Animal Day. It's all good. Tuesday is World Animal Day. Is National Vodka Day also Tuesday? Yes, it is the 4th of October. We've got to make sure sure because I don't want anyone like pre-partying with vodka on Monday.
Starting point is 00:14:28 I mean, I would pre-game National Vodka Day. You can start that early. Yeah, exactly. Start with like a Smirnoff, like an ice. Tuesday the 4th, you know, when you're chasing animals
Starting point is 00:14:38 and drinking your vodka. I drove past a, like a Catholic church yesterday and they have an animal blessing ceremony because it's for, I don't know, St. Francis or something, who's like the patron saint of animals. World Animal Day is a Catholic holiday.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Read my lips. No. People bring their dogs into church to be blessed, which is so great. Maybe Marshall would get his hearing back if I did that. That's what I should do. See if I can heal. Animals in church just doesn't sound right. I I did that. That's what I should do. See if I can heal. Animals in church just doesn't sound right. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:08 That's just me. They were all on the ark. Yeah. Which feels like it's the same. But that's because God had flooded the world. And he's like, you can take them on the ark. Because we've got to save these beasts. Beasts.
Starting point is 00:15:23 But I don't know. I feel like it's a little bit of a distraction if you're trying to kind of like, you know. Sure, sure. I would be more inclined to go to Church of Three Animals there. That's how I would get back. Yeah. Sorry, Mom and Dad. For your birthday, you can always, you know.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Oh, sure. There it is. There it is. It's a good time to start back, huh? It's true. There you go. That's what I'll do. Thank God for one more year.
Starting point is 00:15:44 There it is, around the sun. There it is. That's what I'll do. Thank God for one more year. There it is around the sun. There's your social holidays. Indeed. We have one little social media update for everybody. Our little TikTok update. They have released a dislike button. They're the first social media platform to do this. I'm here for this
Starting point is 00:16:00 one. I think this is long overdue. They launched it in April. My problem might be that I'm going to be negative Nancy because I'm going to dislike a lot of shit. And it's just so everyone
Starting point is 00:16:09 knows if a comment is irrelevant or inappropriate. Yeah, it's almost like reporting a comment. I wish it was more on disliking the content,
Starting point is 00:16:17 not just the comments. right. It's the first I read this and I'm like, oh, this is awesome. I'm going to dislike lots of videos.
Starting point is 00:16:24 I like a lot of videos too. I guess guess YouTube you can downvote on YouTube. Yeah. That needs to be there on TikTok, especially. Yeah. My feed's been getting junked up lately. I'm like, this is some garbage. You're like, fix the algorithm. Fix it.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Fix it now. You know, some of the comments, it's so spammy. My channel's, half of it's like spam bullshit. I don't know why they can't get rid of some of these bots that are obviously just like they come on there and it's like it's the same thing you know i was really going through some tough times and but luckily madeline wizard you know read my tarot cards and like it's a definite in her profile like at first you're like oh what is this and like now that i've seen it a hundred times they're just spamming like the comments on my feed that madison wizard yeah or whatever you know like or oh you know i was going through a rough time but luckily i found crypto michael
Starting point is 00:17:16 right right he saved everything he saved everything i went from five dollars to five thousand in one week right and i was like you like. You can too. I did crypto. I clicked on crypto. Not really. Do not click on anyone. Clicked but didn't follow. No, I didn't. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:17:33 You know, put on my story. No, I'm kidding. God, I spent so much time on TikTok. It's a lot of spam and I'll be disliking a lot of comments for sure. On TikTok as well. At first it was just Instagram, TikTok's not. Like I posted a video the other day and like i was like eight comments in like four seconds i was like wow what is this and i was like
Starting point is 00:17:52 you know down it was all spam obviously bots annoying all right never mind but that's all we got for social media however bumping into our advertising and entertainment news, James Earl Jones is hanging up his cape as Darth Vader. Did you see this? I did see this. This is wild. I love this so much. Instead of James Earl Jones voicing the iconic character,
Starting point is 00:18:19 it's now going to live on artificially through an AI program that was featured based in the Ukraine. And he's like sold the rights to his voice. He's 91. Did you know that? Yeah, I did. And I had no idea he was that old. I didn't know that he hadn't passed to be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:18:31 I think I probably would have heard it, but it just, I knew he had to be getting up there. And this is, this is both scary and crazy at the same time, but not surprising because we use, I use occasionally we use, you know, Nick Weaver, but for real editing.
Starting point is 00:18:48 But like my faux editing, like when I need to do something, there's a piece of software that will like if there's one word that I didn't say, it can mimic my voice. And if you did, it's not, I think, as far along as, you know, whatever they're using at a high, high level. It's probably new AI, but like one word you can put, it will kind of do. And I think if I read a full sentence, it probably sounds robotic or something, but it'll plug in your voice. So there's stuff like this out there that's coming. And the same thing with like, because imagine like that combined with CGI or a deep fake. Yeah. That's maybe like,
Starting point is 00:19:26 maybe a CGI of James Earl, I don't know, of him talk with him, talking with the AI. And they did a lot of like the deep fake stuff, um, in the more recent star Wars with, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:37 Carrie Fisher and all that stuff. So it's going to get to the point with video where if you're not watching it live, if you're not there, you're not going to know, you're going to either not know gonna know you're gonna either not know or question yeah you know like is this 100 percent you know and i did see like some political guy like some guy like was like inspiring out violence or something and he was blaming it on a deep fake you know when i think it was clear that i don't remember who it was i don't want to get in politics it was more just that you're
Starting point is 00:20:03 gonna see people use it on both sides like right people are gonna get deep faked and be legitimate and then people are gonna say oh i was deep faked you know yeah yeah okay oh that's so icky i don't like that at all yeah fascinating but yeah james bill jones 91 years old an egot winning actor it's gonna be interesting the impact from marketing and advertising and like spokesperson standpoint with like money yeah um the uh how people get compensated and you know name image likeness like when you've got this type of thing i imagine he'll still get royalties or his family will when he passes like for using his voice even though it's AI of his voice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:47 You know, so it gets into some interesting realms with marketing and spokesperson. Yeah, and the legality you don't think of, like all of how technical that could get. Yeah. It's just fascinating. Yeah. Next up, we have. You're going to have to patent your own voice. You're going to have to get like, and I'm surprised this doesn't happen anyway that's a good point especially when it lives
Starting point is 00:21:07 beyond yourself like you have to in every he has such a unique voice you either trademark or patent or whatever maybe trademarks better word sure but after doing some research yesterday speaking of research this is a good thing to note speaking of patents and trademarks the radcast is if you can't see me holding we have one more hurdle we're about to get the the trademark for that's so exciting so all you jokers out there that have like the radcast in your name you started after us my lawyer's getting you right up in your shit real soon we'll send you a hat we'll send you a hat. We'll send you a hat. Seasoned assist. Our lawyer contacted me yesterday. Here's a hat. We got to have like one more little thing.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Oh, yeah. Yeah. There you go. Anyway, down that same path, I think you're going to see people start to trademark or there'll be some kind of new, I don't know, copywriting law around it. So we'll see. I should trademark my voice. I do a lot of voice work.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Apple Music is sponsoring the Super Bowl, which is totally different because it used to be Pepsi. But Super Bowl, it's what, the 57th Super Bowl this year? That sounds right. Which is scheduled for February 12th
Starting point is 00:22:20 will be the first time the music streaming service acts as a presenting sponsor for the mid-game extravaganza. Pepsi held the rights for the past decade, but stepped away from the halftime show in May, while remaining an NFL partner. I saw that. I saw, and Rihanna is going to be performing.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Yes, Rihanna's doing the halftime show. Yeah. I mean, I like some Rihanna. I love Rihanna. My first dance recital was Rihanna. You know, like, she, I like her. I know who sheanna. My first dance recital was true. You know, like, I like her. I know who she is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:47 But I wasn't aware of maybe the scale that she was. I know she's worldwide. I know she has like a freaking makeup brand that's like worth a billion dollars or something. So, like, I know these things from a business point. But I guess I didn't realize. I was like, is she Super Bowl name worthy? But I guess so. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:04 I'm very excited yeah so uh but apple music interesting makes a lot of sense surprise it didn't happen before uh me too and look i i use apple music personally i know like a lot of people use spotify and i have it i've used it before but here's the problem total tangent i'm I'm ready for that. If you have an iPhone, I've Spotify does not sound as good as Apple music. And I think it's because Apple's probably doing some shenanigans and you can like, love it or hate it.
Starting point is 00:23:36 But the reality is, and I've done side by side, it's, it sounds a million times better when you listen to Apple music. And so thus, if you're on their ecosystem, I just choose Apple music. Same, same, apple music same um and i don't have like i don't have a problem with their platform like there's certain things i like about spotify wrapped i'm like i don't care
Starting point is 00:23:54 i don't care all the stuff that i listen to is on both platforms right and they're relatively the same cost we have like the family plan sure so like my kids and my wife and I are like 14 dollars or something so like it's not any cheaper on Spotify I will say there are some weird like niche musicals that are only on I'm such a nerd that are only on Spotify so I have like Spotify with the ads but I avoid it at all costs SoundCloud has some weird stuff that I listen to which I don't mind I listen to the ads ads to listen to like some two friends mixes. Oh yeah. Nick,
Starting point is 00:24:30 you don't come out with two friends. Don't know that one. You guys, you guys are so behind. Challenge accepted. This is like totally in your genre too. I'm the old guy listening to friends. Anyone out there that's like 22 is like nodding their head.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Listen to this. Go on. Well, I'm 27. So like, that's too young for me. They do mashups, like a one-hour mix set. Two Friends is what they're called? Yeah. They'll do a one-hour mashup that they add kind of EDM slash dance music, and they mashup over that hour.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah. Probably 100 songs. music and they mash up like over that hour yeah probably a hundred songs they play like 15 seconds of the song but it's mashed up and it's mixed like they're DJs oh I would like them
Starting point is 00:25:11 so anyway cool it's good for workout good for workout I always need workout music I work out to podcasts good for lakeside good energy
Starting point is 00:25:18 I mean it's not I don't yeah I guess you could listen to it anywhere but it's definitely a good a vibe workout vibe vibe
Starting point is 00:25:24 as the kids say. Get on the treadmill, turn it up. Yeah. You never know what. Pound it out. You're kind of like wondering what the next song you're going to hear. That's kind of the fun of it, I think. So you need to take your mind off running.
Starting point is 00:25:35 And they blend it in, you know. It's kind of like radio, but better. That's right. There it is. Total tangent, but Apple Music and Super Bowl. It's superior. a lot of sense this next one i this was all over my like my linkedin and my twitter feed but the mlb games that were infiltrated by actors with the creepy smiles to promote the new film smile that comes out today
Starting point is 00:25:57 it's in theaters the 30th today um multiple media outlets have written about the creepy stunt which only went viral due to the actor's commitment to the role. Like the whole game, they were just creepy smiling. And it was in the Mets versus the Athletics and the Cardinals versus the Dodgers and a couple other games. Did you see this? This is how you do brain extension right here. This is smart.
Starting point is 00:26:19 And the actor's holding character that long is very interesting. But look, I haven't watched the previews very interesting, but I have no, look, I haven't watched the previews for the movie. I watched the trailer because of this ad. Is it, but there is like, there's an insight here and I have no idea if this is what the movie is about. I know nothing about the movie other than I saw.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Yeah. Those be interesting. But you know, we always say fake smile. Like you feel like everybody's kind of like, you know, and it's like something telling about like society as a whole that you feel like there's a lot of fake smiling. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I have no idea if this is what the movie is about, but, you know, it's creepy. Like I watched the trailer. I will like dabble with horror movies, but I'm very specific about the ones I'll watch because they will mess with me. I don't know if I could do this. Nightmare on Elm Street only for you. No, I have watched It. That's like the first and second It and a couple of the Annabelle
Starting point is 00:27:10 movies. I used to have some Jason on here. I think we deleted it. Any kind of aggressive gore and violence, that's why I can't do Game of Thrones. I can do creepy, spooky ghosts, but I can't do violence. Yeah. No. That's how I sound watching these movies that sounds like me
Starting point is 00:27:28 actually that's me oh man no it's uh great great stunt i have to be in the mood for horror sure you know and i but let me say this marketing and like connection and brand and like carrying out this is a brilliant idea uh great extension it's baseball season or at least the time where most people start paying attention a lot of energy around it and then doing a mass play where you know you get this kind of virility really cool idea and behind home plate smart the uh i will say this like i have to be in the mood for horror because I started watching on Netflix the Dahmer thing with what's his name? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:09 And Nicole and I started watching this the other night. And literally, it was like, you know stuff's coming, but you don't really want, and we watched like 15 minutes of it. And we both looked at each other. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:28:21 we're going to watch this and we're really going to like it, but I'm not in the mood for this. Like I needed, I needed some freaking Ted Lassa. We immediately went to Ted Lassa. No, I can't do it.
Starting point is 00:28:34 This is more than I want to like, you know, digest right now. Like I need some light, lightheartedness. Dahmer, and this is not horror, but Dahmer and the new Marilyn Monroe movie,
Starting point is 00:28:43 Blonde are two that I was like, do I want to watch this? And then I went down a deep dive of reviews, and I was like, neither. I won't watch either of them. I cannot do it. I'll totally get into it. If I'm in the mood for it, I'm there. No. I just was ready to kind of-
Starting point is 00:28:58 But that's not horror. That's true. I was ready to kind of chill out at the end of the day. And I'm like, eh, yeah. He's going to win all the awards for it though he he was free like we watched like i'm like he was very believable this is like but i thought he was great in freaking yes american horror story he played a lot of different characters yeah he was always like the guy he's best on. So, interesting. On to another positive article.
Starting point is 00:29:28 M&M's is introducing a new color for the first time since the 90s. But they have a purple, a purple M&M to mark the debut. The brand will release a song and video called I'm Just Gonna Be Me that features saxophonist Grace Kelly, choreographer, dancers Devin Santiago and Kolo Kog, opera singer Anthony Roth Constanzo, and the rest of the cast of the M&M's Spokes Candies. Do M&M's based on the color taste different? I don't, you know, like Skittles.
Starting point is 00:29:58 I don't think so. Skittles absolutely do. I don't think M&M's do. I think it's just dye. But the purple M&M's. It's like if you did a blind taste test. Inclusivity. Am I going to know that it's purple?
Starting point is 00:30:06 We should do it. We should try it. I love purple. I'm excited about this. It's a peanut M&M, I think. Oh, come on now. I'm messing up M&M's with peanuts. M&M's are my favorite. Any and all of them. Peanut butter M&M's.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I'm there for them all day. Elite. Those are my hidden. Do you like caramel M&M's? Those are my second favorite. I don't dislike them, but I'll pass right over. I'm a Passover dessert, sweet kind of guy, except for about five things. And peanut butter M&M's and Reese's Pieces.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Handfuls. All day, every day, whole bag. Bury me in them. Same way, absolutely. If I could eat as much of that as I want and never gain any weight or feel bad. Snaps. Yeah, it's about feeling bad, truly.
Starting point is 00:30:59 I have gorged myself on M&M's before. But anyway, it's fun. Purple. For inclusivity. it's fun. Okay. Purple. For inclusivity. It's fine. Whatever. I don't like when candy or stuff has to get into like, it's not that I don't, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:16 It's the social things with candy. Sure. Can we just have candy? Sure. It's just no matter where you fall, any of it. And I don't think anyone with any like integrity doesn't want people to not feel included. So it's not that I am saying what with me saying this is saying,
Starting point is 00:31:35 well, I don't agree with this. It's more just, you know, just, it's interesting. Let me just have some candy. But Eminem has always had,
Starting point is 00:31:44 like it has such a historical background because M&M's were invented because families would send chocolate and candy to their family members who were in the military and it would always melt. M&M's, because they have the candy coating, don't melt. It's kind of always
Starting point is 00:31:59 been a little bit. They don't have to be a gender. They can just be characters. Why did we make the green one a sex symbol why is the sex why is the green eminem the the sexy one i'm sure that's not anymore no it still is she still has her little heel boots oh good good feminism uh but the next thing is megan the stallion do you like her music yeah yeah i do too uh she created a website with mental health resources for fans she launched a website called bad bitches have bad days too which appeared to be taken from a verse from her song anxiety to provide her fans with mental health resources hey that's cool yeah i mean you know like her and cardi b and like yeah like i like the music look i love i enjoy it
Starting point is 00:32:40 you know i can enjoy it and not even know where their position is or what they do. But it's also good that they're using their fame to, you know, promote things like this. Same with Lizzo. Liz is another one who does it. And I think we start to, you know, go overboard with taking every lyric and everything. I mean, like some of it's just art form, you know. At least for me, it's art form because it gets me jobbed up at the gym or I'm having fun at a party or whatever, you know? Yeah. And I'm not like overthinking every lyric.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Sure. But I just think it's cool that, you know, she used her fame to like promote something that obviously needs more awareness. It's a cool website. I popped on there yesterday. Yeah. But it's the power of mental health. Not personal use. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Totally. But it's keeping that like mental health vein. Clorox Wipes has a whole new brand platform. It's the first time since 2017. It's called Start Clean and it utilizes a minimal aesthetic and straightforward message because recent consumer research by the brand found that 82 percent of Americans believe cleanliness is required for a clear head and 68 percent of Americans believe it's needed for a fresh outlook. percent of americans believe it's needed for a fresh outlook i mean i like things smelling nice yeah i mean you know like there is something about coming home to a clean house you know like that's fresh yeah you know like it helps you with like productivity because like one less thing i have to do like or my wife has to do like between the two of us right right like you know like okay well it's like you can focus on the stuff you actually want to do and between the two of us right right like you know like okay well it's like you can focus on the stuff you actually want to do and not like oh god i gotta clean the bathroom
Starting point is 00:34:08 yeah i mean and who doesn't like you know some bleach smell yeah lemon lemon citrus you know yeah but i don't know i i'd like to dig into that research a little bit sure if they're they're making some connections here that uh it might be a little bit sure if they're they're making some connections here that uh it might be a little bit of a leap for uh whether or not clorox wipes sure sure but i've had to like clean and clean the uh depression crust off of my apartment before i've been like oh i've been like sad for two days i probably should like do something about my dishes you should at least feed the cat right he always gets fed. The cat's always fine. Food and water, he's always taken care of. I'm the one that doesn't eat.
Starting point is 00:34:48 But it's fine. We're on Prozac now. Yeah. That's all I got for today. I'm gonna get some wipes here in the Radcast room. There you go. We got some little dust bunnies. Yeah, this screams. Yeah, I can see some
Starting point is 00:35:03 fingerprints. Well, I think it's more like where nash dropped it seven times kicked it down the street a few times they thought it was a soccer ball oh yes roblox so clemson and nc state play on saturday night game days in town and i will be glued to the tv hopefully no hurricane yeah an exciting weekend. Hopefully with no hurricane. Yeah, lots of wind. Hopefully we all have power. Yeah. Oh, don't say that. I have a generator. We have backup.
Starting point is 00:35:29 There you go. We have backup. You'll be just fine. Oh, yeah. Runs just the refrigerator and the TV. Priorities. Priorities.
Starting point is 00:35:37 And maybe the microwave. Sure. Obviously. Obviously. Goes without saying. We need to heat up some Denny Moore. Pizza rolls.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Or like, you know. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Game day food. What are they called? What are they called? Those things that you put in a toaster, but they're. Pop tarts?
Starting point is 00:35:51 No. Kind of in the vein of pizza rolls. Like the. Hot pocket. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hot pockets. There we go. I love hot pockets.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Oh, yeah. That Philly steak and cheese. Pretty good. Unless the center is cold. That's what always happens to me. Like, everything's cooked, but the center is still, like, cold. It's so unpleasant. What if you could air fry a Hot Pocket?
