Starting point is 00:00:00 Yeah, baby. We're starting the podcast right now. We're back. You know what dude live. Welcome everybody to the show. YKW. I started a social media podcast. The fact.
Starting point is 00:00:12 The YKWD podcast. YKWD is back again. Old school back in the day where it all started before fun and crazy. This isn't NPR. That's the original. What's up, everybody? We're back. It's the You Know What Dude podcast above the world famous comedy seller
Starting point is 00:00:49 in the Comedy Cellar Studios. I have an amazing show tonight. Two people I really, really enjoy. Joe, who do we got? Hey, on this show, we have one-third of the Legion of Skanks, Steve Renazizi. And he's got a special called
Starting point is 00:01:07 Blue Eye Mexican guys. Shane Torres. What's up, boys? How you doing, baby? What's happening? You threw your glasses on because of me, right? I did. I wanted to fucking spice things up a little.
Starting point is 00:01:19 I want to meet your energy, dude. You want to do a, you're doing a little Tim Dillon right now. I know. I like that. Do you do sunglasses when you, when you podcast sometimes? Well, these are, these are my glasses. Yeah, yeah. But they have a little tint to them, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:31 A little tint. These have a light tint. You know why I have the tint on? You'll actually relate to it, Steve. Was it for glare at night when you're driving? It's so when I'm reading. They can't see it. Yeah, because you know about reading.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Yeah, dude. Yep. Me and him. We got outed on Legion of Skanks. What is this? Bobby and I don't read out loud well. I'm sure you read great to yourself. No. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:59 I mean, I don't know. Okay. Yeah. I've never judged myself. Aren't you both actors? Yeah. But honestly. That's not reading.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Yeah. That's memorizing. And also, you get a little time to get that. Like, yeah. We do. I'm just, you know, I've been doing Legion of Skanks for 15 years, but just recently they started let me do ad reads. So they, uh,
Starting point is 00:02:19 So they did throw them at you at the end. And it's like, you know, these guys have been doing these same reads for 15 years. It's not that. It's not that. It's not that. I told you what it was. I'm nervous about. You think Lewis was good at Rad Reads the first time he picked it up? I would bet it. I would not roll a dice on that.
Starting point is 00:02:34 I'm not saying Lewis is good at anything. Yeah. How dare you? I'm just saying, Steve, some things we're good at and some things were not. And we're going to find out at Skangfest. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I heard about that. We're having a readoff.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Yep. Live. Me, you and Voss, I think. He doesn't know yet. By the way, this is... I don't want to change subject here. Caching. How can this not make a lot of money?
Starting point is 00:03:00 That's going to be hilarious, dude. We should live feed this for $5. Oh, absolutely. People just trying to get us through watching us read. Well, you know they're going to have a proxy shock caller on proxies. Oh, yeah. So you get to pick your proxy. So I'm going to back this up a little.
Starting point is 00:03:15 You pick... You're all going to be reading the same. passage or what how does it are they're going to tell a one at a time it's going to start off easy it's going to get hard and we're going to have different rounds and different things and then if you mess up you've explained you go this
Starting point is 00:03:30 you were the most general explanation I've ever it's going to start off easy it's going to get hard I'm going to do a couple different things. The first couple things is you're like hey what's going on I'm Robert Kelly you're listening to the bonfire I'm Steve Renazizi and you'll listen to the Legion of Skye and then it's going to get harder and then it's going to be actual reads
Starting point is 00:03:46 and then the text is going to probably get But if you fuck up at all, someone gets shocked. Someone gets shocked. Now, they realize that we're older people, so we can't get shocked ourselves because, you know, legally I don't want us drop in dead. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, especially false.
Starting point is 00:04:01 But, yeah, you can hook me up to Mike Feeney, and Mike Feeney can take a shock for me, you know? I think we should take Mike Feeney, Cannon and Sagina. Sagalo, yeah. I think we take the three of them. Sagalo, I'm not sure about. Sagalo might not make it. Well, Sagalow, it's not going to affect him. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 00:04:16 He might not feel it. He's just going to go. that's it. But yeah, it's happening. We don't read well. I will say this, going changing subjects here. If you watch Rich Voss's
Starting point is 00:04:26 serious XM Sebastian Men and Scalco video, you would, you would immediately be on the side of serious XM and Saban. Dude, we watch this video. It was the first one I saw.
Starting point is 00:04:41 And I immediately texted Adrian and I go, you got to get rid of Voss's video. It's ruining your whole movement here. I go, this guy cannot be the spokesperson. I'm pretty sure Israel called that said the same example. You know when you see his stupid face right up front and you go, oh, God, this is going to be Israel. Well, yeah. Oh, God, this is going to be Israel.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's what I, Rich Voss. I go, oh, here we go, Israel. Someone happened last night. I don't want to go into that. But I will. He did. He was in the business over 150 television appearances. That's the time.
Starting point is 00:05:17 That can't be right. That's a stack number. Battle. Battle. I've been with Sirius for over 21 years. He wrote serious for him. Stop, pause. Yeah. Pause.
Starting point is 00:05:29 He didn't write this. He just put the... Put it to capture. He just put captions. And never corrected it. No, why? Because he doesn't know how to read. He doesn't know how to read.
Starting point is 00:05:38 He doesn't know... It's a serious. E-R-I-O-U-S. He didn't write it, right. He also wrote another. Yeah, yeah. Instead of other. They wrote it in an accent.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Well, to be fair, A.I. is trying to figure out disgusting, slurring jersey accent. Listen, I love Vos. But pull the camera back a little bit. Just a little bit. Like, this guy should not have told Rich, we're doing it Thursday at noon, not Tuesday at noon. I feel like Bonnie getting pillow talk. He waited until Bonnie left.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I'm going to the store. Okay. I can make my video now. She would have slapped that phone out of his hand. I know. I know, dude. And I think the best part is Voss might be. off the list, but Bonnie's on.
Starting point is 00:06:19 I know. That would kill me. Yeah. I'm pretty sure. Same thing with Chelsea Chelsea lately. Cook and Chad Daniels. Oh, really? One's on the list and one's off. Which one is on and which one's off? Chad's on, Chelsea's off. That's how it goes. Well, we're on the
Starting point is 00:06:35 bonfire and we, everybody's blaming Sebastian. I know. But it was actually me and Jay who made the decision. Is that right? You guys did, yeah. We made the, we cut everybody. and we all went through Jacob, of course. He was the final say. But, you know, it's our fault.
Starting point is 00:06:51 We did it. I get it, dude. We did it because we need more money in our paychecks. And you guys could need more money, and you guys deserve it. So you got to trim the fat. Has Sebastian even, did you make a video? Did you make a video because, I'll tell you why. I did make a video.
Starting point is 00:07:06 You did make a video. What was your video? Mine was like, he's nice and these people just need the money. It's not about, yes. It's more like this thousand bucks gives comics the opportunity to go, try and get another gig which I think is like Oh it's definitely fair yeah yeah no
Starting point is 00:07:20 The argument's really not That I don't think Sebastian's crossing anyone named off a list or anything like that I would be If a guy that busy was taking the time to do this You don't think Sebastian did all this No Oh okay no no You think Sebastian they went hey Sebastian
Starting point is 00:07:36 We want to use your face and name We're gonna give you this much money All right Yeah it's like whatever fine Yeah you know I'm sure someone went through and was like Oh it's probably got to be a little cleaner. We've got to get rid of some of these people that are dirty. You know, Sebastian's name, I don't want to be a little clean. But I don't think anyone
Starting point is 00:07:50 had anything, you know, it just, it sucks that serious is losing money and the fact that they can't just have their own raw dog channel standalone on its own. You know what I'm saying? Like, just keep the channel and. But are they losing money? They have to be. Okay. So, okay, that's a dumb question. I work for them. Yeah, yeah. They have to be. The dumbest thing I've ever said. But no, but why would they, it doesn't make sense that, okay, they're taking these people off, right? But they're still getting the same amount of, like, other people, everybody's making the same amount.
Starting point is 00:08:23 How does it less? I think the thing is, like, they're just like, these bigger comics have a bigger name. Like, we'll get, people will listen to this more with these major brands. I think that, I would bet that's their logic. Yeah. So they don't want to sit through Mike Fontone, whoever that is. Or yeah, yeah, yeah, like Steve Whirlwind or whatever.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Whatever, whoever the regional act is on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, is it, we're in, listen, we're in show business, right? Yeah, okay. So it's a company. It's not like this is a new thing that these companies do, right? Netflix doesn't just give everybody a special or have, they give the people that they like a special. That's it.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I mean, I don't get, they don't fuck with me. Yeah, me neither. You know what I mean? It's like, it's, it's, they're saying, all right, we're going to do this. Yeah. We like these people, whoever the fuck it is. Or we want to try to do this. So I say I do the opposite.
Starting point is 00:09:14 I just buy stock and Netflix and I go, fine. You're not going to give me a special. You guys keep making decisions. As long as you're making the right ones, I'm making money anyway. Yeah, don't buy stock in serious. That would be. Don't listen to him. I'm just saying for Netflix, that specifically, that's going to work.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Also, it's going to make these people, it sucks because there are people. I know getting a check suck. Yeah. It sucks not being able to get that check. But it's also going to give them the motivation to figure out another way to make up that money. Yeah, but maybe it's maybe they do their own thing. Someone comes up, some other company steps in and goes, all right, we'll fucking take all these people.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Right now, it'll be a great time for a company to step in and go, we'll put a channel on something on the internet. And we'll spin you and we'll give you a little more money than they were giving you. We'll make a little less than they were making you. And we'll take all fucking companies. And it can't be that expensive to put it on, right? I mean, like, I don't know how that works. But they're not paying for production costs.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Buddy, it's called satellite. It has to go up to space. Yeah, but it doesn't, though. Satellites already there. That's my point. That's the thing, though. It's all, everyone uses the app now. If you use the app, the serious XM app,
Starting point is 00:10:21 it doesn't skip out that if you use it where the television. Because, you know why? It's a wild thing for a business to have a bunch of useless satellite. You know what are we going to do with these things? Yeah, yeah, it's wild. It's crazy. They're just sitting in a warehouse or some shit. They're like, oh, my God, what are you going to do these satellites?
Starting point is 00:10:37 I guess we'll sell them to China. I mean, what do you do with? That's what J said. He goes, No, no, no, no, our single has to go up to space and then come back down for you to get it. It's like, it's crazy. But, I mean, you feel bad, but I don't like, I get sucked into these, you know, make a video thing. Well, that's why I go, Adrian, I'm not into, like, eating other comics.
Starting point is 00:10:59 I hate that. I don't want to do that. It's not against my first instinct to be, like, you know, jumping on. And as someone who's, I knew Sebastian, you know, a comedy store, we worked together for a long time. I wrote him a message Yeah Like out of respect Be like I don't want
Starting point is 00:11:14 I wouldn't want the first thing you see Is me trashing you before I talk to you But that's the thing Now he hasn't written me back And now I'm gonna do a video And I'll do it right now Go ahead Here we go
Starting point is 00:11:23 There's your camera It's my camera Hey I'm Steve Ren is easy And like many other comics I got a check from serious XM Every month And now that check's going away Why?
Starting point is 00:11:32 Because Sebastian Manuscalco decided to take everybody's fucking money Are you off Did you get taken off? I think I'm off, dude. Although I will say this, my checks. You're off now.
Starting point is 00:11:46 My checks since April have been triple. Yeah, because you're on. You're in the fucking, you're in me. But I have not seen my name on any list yet. On either on or off. I don't think I was ever on. DeRosa called the show today. He wasn't on any list.
Starting point is 00:12:01 No, never. He wasn't on the taken off list. He wasn't on anything. I was so embarrassed last night because Norman and, you know, Jay, Norman was on the Legion last night. and so their names are Norman's like four. Jay's like 38 and then you couldn't even scroll down far enough. What is the list?
Starting point is 00:12:17 What is the list? Who's on it? Who's on it? Who's on it? The number of streams previous to April and post April. Kind of like it's a comparison to like who was getting play and now who is going to play. How did you get that list? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:32 It could be made up for all we know. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Make it bigger. Make it bigger. I'm not on it. That sucks. I'm not going to be on there either.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Are we got Florentines killing it. Right? I don't know. See, now, look. Gave. Boss. Voss is on it. Yeah, but this is the ones before.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Oh, this is before. This is before. This is before. Okay, scroll down. Scroll down. So, all right. Sidney, sweet. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:12:57 DJ, who, who's that? Okay. Yeah. Ryan Callan. Nora Davis. Jack. Brad Williams. Eric Rivera.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Eric Rivera. Where the fucks he been? Laura Bites. These are people. who were on. Eric Griffin, Jared Freed. Jared Freed. Are these people who are off now?
Starting point is 00:13:15 These are people who are taking off. Yeah, they were off. Why do they think he, him? I don't know. Nick Swartson is off. The name is off. Steve Byrne. Oh, that's fucked.
Starting point is 00:13:24 I know. Oh my God. These are like working comedians. And they're not like, you know. Paul Verzi's off. This is Italian. What the fuck did I do, dude? I didn't do nothing.
Starting point is 00:13:32 I live in a fucking Westchester, dude. What the fuck did I do? I know. Dude, it's going to be bad. Wow. Well, I'm going to make a video right now too. Ready?
Starting point is 00:13:42 Here's my camera. Right there. Hey, Sebastian, you're making good choices. I like what you're doing. And I like how you're keeping it in the family. You know what I'm saying? You make the rich, richer, the poor, and then we fucking run the world. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:57 So serious. God bless. Sebastian. All right. I'll see you next week. There you go. Get that check coming in. Has he responded at all?
Starting point is 00:14:04 No, he's not going to respond. Because he woke up one day and he was like the world hates him. Yeah. I thought most of them by and large, like, not nasty. No, none of them were like, you took our money already. Read his comments. Oh, really? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:14:17 It's like, you fucking asshole, you need, you got enough fucking Sebastian, do the right thing. He just woke up, put his silk robe on, got his Gucci underwear on, went to the bathroom, put his creams on. You did any idea. Looked in the mirror, did this and went, hey, yeah, and then got his phone and went, what the fuck? Yeah. Hey, there's something wrong in the... So who does he call? It calls, you know, Mr. Serious now.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Here's the problem. It's like, you should, I mean, go after serious. Yeah. Don't, why did you put in? You think Sebastian's going to call up serious and go, you gotta do the right there. I mean, that's the only person I think they can. How?
Starting point is 00:15:04 Like, that's the only person they've aligned to. Yeah. Yeah, but he's not a, he's just a working hump like the rest of us. He's, he has no, he's not on the board. He doesn't make decisions. He doesn't have a choice. Either he's going to have to go, you do this or else, which sucks for him. He didn't do anything.
Starting point is 00:15:23 He's, he, I think, but here's the thing. They need his brand, right? No. You don't think they need his, like, they are, they were like, raw dogs not doing it. We need to do something that gets more. Yeah, like, yeah, what would they have put on the channel? Yeah, like, I think they do need his brand. And so I do think he has the leverage to be like, we need to do something about it.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I think they could cancel him and go Steve Renazizi. I don't think they're going to. I'm back on the list. Satellites are back in space. You know, fast Voss would take his video down. He's like, listen, we're going to put you back on the grades. Just a serious satellite. I want to say something.
Starting point is 00:15:54 The last video made was wrong. I spoke before all my knowledge was in me. Yeah, I mean, I feel bad. Like a lot of people I know are like, fuck. I know. They make, that's how. they make that extra nugget. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:08 But it's like, it's, you're gonna have to find a way. Yes, for sure. And here's the thing. How did comics become standups and live before the internet?
Starting point is 00:16:19 Was it like we, we just went town to town and we're funny. That was it. Went town to town with shirts in our back seat and fucking got paid nothing until you built it up. I know. And I mean, you did get,
Starting point is 00:16:29 I did have people come to you after shows. Oh, I heard this bit on serious XM or this or that or, you know. I mean, it's good. Cad blew up off of there, right? Daniels? Didn't he?
Starting point is 00:16:38 Maybe. He was like a super highly spinned dude on it. I mean, like, a lot of people found him off of there. Or Pandora, one of these kind of, I think, similar, yeah. Well, they're owned by the same place now, right? I love the lore of comics. That's how Dan Cook was on instant messenger. Did he really? It wasn't publicity.
Starting point is 00:16:56 It wasn't a million dollars worth of comedy. Steve Rennerzzi appears to have been among the comedians affected by the overhaul of serious. You got, you got doucheed. I got dushed. I'm not, wow, you're gone. I'm removed. Wow, am I on there?
Starting point is 00:17:10 Am I still on there? Removed. Am I? Yeah. I hate to tell you. You probably are. Let me tell you something. If I wasn't on the bonfire,
Starting point is 00:17:18 I would have been the first one taking off. You might be. They wouldn't even have went in alphabetical order just so I'd be number one. They would have put number one. They would have just said, yeah. Robert Kelly, Bobby Kelly, anyway. Yeah, it's a, here's the problem with what, when they put what, It's going to evolve into fuck Sebastian.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Yes. Undoubt. And it already has. It already has. Yeah. I saw some girl comic today going, I heard he bought the station and just a limit. Some girl comic. He bought a, he bought a, he bought a channel.
Starting point is 00:17:51 You're off. Bobby appears to have lost his regular presence on Sirius F. Former Rather, but I would not describe him as being, I'm not removed. Well, removed. Geez, no. No, I'm not removed. I'm good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:03 All right. Listen, you're doing a good job, Sir. I don't know Well it's it's like I didn't know if they were going to tell you guys You weren't allowed to talk about it No we we talk we we look it We don't we don't really do serious talk
Starting point is 00:18:17 Anyways no pun intended But still like you know it's like serious the way Voss says serious Sure Yeah we we fucked around We just said that we were the ones We were just fucking course Yeah because you know
Starting point is 00:18:29 First of all it just happened And I don't you know What are we gonna do Fucking make a difference Get a campaign going? What are we going to do? What are you guys going to do? We don't ever get snacks.
Starting point is 00:18:41 We have to get our own snacks. We have to get our own snacks. We have no poll. We have a contract coming up. One of us is going. I'm pretty sure you're looking at him. Yeah, I don't know. I just feel bad that Sebastian has to be hated now. Like, if you thought that putting his name out in front of it
Starting point is 00:19:03 wasn't going to turn on him somehow, that he's at fault, that it was slowly going to evolve the way the internet works, that sometimes his DMs are going to blow up, his comments are going to blow up with all fuck yous and you're a piece of shit, you're out of your fucking mind. And it has. And it sucks for him. Because all he did was say, yeah, I'll fucking do it. You want to give me this much money? I'll do it.
Starting point is 00:19:23 What are you supposed to say no? Yeah. Yeah. It's, right? What's he supposed to do? Well, no, I don't. Come on now. If you're getting into business with something, you should know the effects that should have on something.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Yeah, but you think he got in a business and they were going to like, look, just FYI. No, of course not. I don't think he's that dude. You know, like, and I think that people that are reacting like that are fucking psychos. Yeah. Yeah, like, but if you make a business decision and it affects people, like, you don't get to go, like, just throw your hands up. So like, you think, like, you know, like, people are allowed to be upset with you about it and voice their opinion. You don't get to be a prick and lie, which is what a lot of people are saying, like, he knew.
Starting point is 00:19:58 That's insane. Yeah. You know, like, but for someone to be like, hey, this video is, like, please fix it. not crazy. Yeah. Starting point is 00:21:26 I mean, he can talk to him or he can not. or and he can. What does he say to him? Hey, I had no idea that these people. Hey, I don't know if you guys have heard. Hey, guys, I don't know if you guys heard. You're on the list. But the, there's something going on with the channel.
Starting point is 00:21:43 I don't know if you might. I don't have heard about it. You know, happy serious is that they said Sebastian's name. And he's getting. They aren't getting any. Yeah, that's. They're not getting. They should have been tagged a little more than this.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah. It should have been just them. Yeah. I kept asking Adrian and I was like, They could have made Sebastian the hero. Yeah, why are we not going after Sirius? Or how about going after Spotify who pays less than a penny? At least Sirius was paying $14 a spin.
Starting point is 00:22:10 It's fucking crazy. Dude, less than you get less than a fucking penny. Really? I didn't know what I did. Yeah, the Spotify. I just made that up. I don't know. But the thing is.
Starting point is 00:22:19 It is a fraction of us. It's terrible. It is. I think it's some crazy amount that they play our shit. You get nothing for it. at least Sirius was paying all right money. But, you know, I don't know, dude. It's a, I'm sure if I didn't work there, I don't even know if, to be honest with you,
Starting point is 00:22:38 I never knew I was getting the money. Yeah, kind of, the same thing. I was, I always just depend on my stand-up. My stand-up is my, everything else, I go to my wife, I go, we good stand-up wise, right? She's like, yeah. I mean, you got to work. But if everything goes away, I can, We're good just with stand-up.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Yep. That's my only, any time, when I bought the house, anything I bought, I'm like, we can do this with just stand-up because everything gets taken away, you can't take away my stand-up. I can still work. I can still make something, you know? Yeah. And that's what my whole thing is.
Starting point is 00:23:15 It's always been just my stand-up. You know, it's never been a TV show or, you know, you know they go away. We made it before the Internet, too, which is wild times. Yeah, yeah. What doesn't exist? Like the pre-exempts. The pre-internet money. Like, you're like,
Starting point is 00:23:29 I agree with you guys. You guys have both, like, legged it out longer than I have. But. Thank you for show of respect. Yeah. Appreciate that. I did like that.
Starting point is 00:23:39 But, much respect. Much respect for you. Those opportunities are fewer and further between now. Like, and you can't go to JFL anymore and just get on Fowin and then get a development deal or whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:51 You know, like. Yeah, but you can't go on. And I'm in between those two slides. Yeah, but you can do what other people did that I can't do is fucking, make a bunch of goofy videos, get 7 million followers. You're right. The hilarious bikini shots I see all the time.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Like, that's what I, like, it's not, it's not based on ability anymore. You guys got somewhere because you have ability. Right. Yeah. And you warped your asses off. So, like a bikini shot and a comic, we all know who they are. Like, no, I don't. No, I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 00:24:17 What? Doing what? Which one? Which one are you talking about? I really don't know. Which bikini ones? You know. Let's pull up some videos.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Yeah. And also shirtless dudes, okay? like I'm just, let's not make it a whole thing. What is? Shots fire. The old guys. Get me a young pup. They're not that funny.
Starting point is 00:24:38 But they are pieces of ass, some of these people. No, absolutely. I agree. And we all know it. No one says, but those are the people that Bobby and I used to watch in a comedy club and go, ah, this is going to fade out. This is going to fickle. This is not, this is not.
Starting point is 00:24:50 But you're saying now it gets legs because people on the internet find. Yeah. And it's also like an endless. If that microphone is now a fucking iPhone Yeah, and like it's not That people don't deserve to work or take advantage of the opportunities they get because of whatever Most of them But I do think it's like
Starting point is 00:25:09 There used to be some direct lines Like while they were not easy to get you could be like Well I'll work the club I'll go open mic, I'll host Maybe I'll get to a feature and then maybe somebody will like me And then you find these avenues and you get an audition for blah blah blah and you go to JFL and then maybe you find your way into a half hour on County Central. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 That shit is gone. I know. Now you're throwing wishes into a fountain at a... I completely understand. If I was a young guy starting out now and all I had was like an album or two and being like serious XMs playing my stuff and now that goes away, it's like, fuck, dude, what am I? I got to go back on the road and try to figure out what to do. Yes, you're right.
Starting point is 00:25:48 There is internet. There is, you know, podcast and stuff like that. But it's... Yeah, but there's no... If you look at like Shane, he filmed tires on his own and put it on the internet. And now it's like the number one show on Netflix. Yeah. If you create something and it's good and there's so many more ways you don't need a network,
Starting point is 00:26:11 you don't have to pitch anything. You can just create it, make it, put it out there. And if it's good, people will fucking like it. And then they'll come to you, right? That never existed. You had to go in. You know this. had to go into a bunch of networks, pitch the show.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Hopefully they let you write a pilot, and then hopefully they let you film the pilot, and then hopefully they put it on TV, and then hopefully it gets picked up. It was like a two-year process of hopes and dreams. And at any point, they could just be like, no. And you'll never know why, really. And it's gone forever. But the only difference between that and now is that when we did that, we put a lot of ourselves into it, but we didn't put our own financial stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:53 When you film your own stuff now, you've got to pretty much pony up and do it yourself. Yeah, but you can do with a fucking iPhone. You can, but I think, like, what a lot of people are doing is, like, yes, I will pay $18,000 to produce my own show because I know that, like, for the next five months, I'm going to get $800 a month, and that'll pay my rent or whatever,
Starting point is 00:27:11 because serious, you know, my bills are paid because of that. You guys were both, like, working touring comics before Sirius came through with Spins. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. do you remember when the money came in? And like that it when it was like, hey, we're going to put your Comedy Central album or whatever. I'm assuming you both have the like,
Starting point is 00:27:27 I don't, do you remember making a difference at any point? You don't think I, you think I forget getting a check for $200,000. Okay. Yeah, you're not Sebastian. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:27:40 that's a drop in the buck. No, I never remember being like, oh, now I'm finally getting this serious XM money. Yeah. Yeah, was never like,
Starting point is 00:27:47 you don't remember it making a different. No, not for me. Yeah, okay. Well, I understand what you're saying. Like, dude, guys like Lenny Marcus, Steve Byrne, all these guys. These are the guys I know. Jay Larson, Steve Simone, all these guys.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Yeah, I mean, these guys. Great comics. Fucking hilarious. And that check comes in, and it gives them that money to do things. Or not to do things, actually. That's, I understand that. So, but the way they went about this whole thing, it's like, I got to make a video saying something to Sebastian.
Starting point is 00:28:19 I know the guy. Sebastian, do the right thing. It's like he's not the guy. You've got to go after the people. But he is the person they have a line to. So does it Kevin Hart. So does it. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:28:32 Agree. But that doesn't mean that they don't have a line to Sebastian. Like, I agree with you. Yeah. Like, but I, and I also agree with you the point you're making about serious. People should have gone at them way harder. That's where I'm fucking behem it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:45 But Sebastian's the only one they have the, they have the, best shot of getting hold of him. You can't argue. This is one of them. He's not. He's not. I mean, like, in a way he is. He's not even near any of us in this room. No, we don't even know people who are here. Because one time. I mean, there's an ivory tower I've seen.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yeah. He's not even on the same planet. One time we were. You know, it wasn't like a thing where he was like. Yeah, when he wore vests. He walked in. He became an S&L star and then he was like rich and and famous. Like, he worked hard. Yeah. knows what it's like. No one gets to that level without working the right off. That's like, that's a common. But it's also luck meets opportunity.
Starting point is 00:29:25 You know what I'm saying? Like something happened with him. Oh, yeah. There is. He was undeniable, dude. There's, look it, dude, you're undeniable. I've seen you murder. I went up at, I followed you in Vegas.
Starting point is 00:29:37 And I was like, what the fuck? Yeah. You were on TV. Why didn't something? Oh, we know why. I take all that back. I take it all back. What?
Starting point is 00:29:47 Oh, we know it. I got it. Yeah, yeah, we got it now. Easy one to fiddle to figure out. I can never forget. You know what I mean? But like, you're talented too. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:30:00 You're fucking hilarious. There is a thing that, you know, in this business that some people get that thing that they... For sure. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. And you can never question that. I mean, like, it's all...
Starting point is 00:30:11 There's discipline and there's talent. And then there is, like, meeting the moment and getting, like... Yeah. You know, like, deal with this is hilarious. Yeah. He's a brilliant comic. He's my friend. But the way it went down at SNL
Starting point is 00:30:23 and it looked like his opportunity was going to end, like I think that a lot of people hope they get. And the way he moved it and played like, and like, you know, kind of took them, judoed it into like,
Starting point is 00:30:33 like this is who I am as a person. I'm a good, like I'm not a bad dude. Like, uh, I think is, it's not luck, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:41 but like it is, it is like recognizing a moment in a way to deal with it. And how to play it. Yeah. Yeah. And I also think that's what is happening. If Shane had started like yelling back and been like fuck this place and fuck the whole establishment and blah blah blah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Like I think like he was his like letter or apology or whatever we want to call. It was like honest and like it was sincere. Which was like what resonated with people. Not that he. Yeah. But I just say something about Shane. He's a generational family. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Yeah. He's great. Yeah. There's certain guys that just look, I'm fucking hilarious. But I've I've done shows with Shane where you like like people. Matrice, it's something different. I'm hilarious. It's like the natural athlete ability.
Starting point is 00:31:23 They connect on a different level. I'm on the football team, but I'm not fucking Tom Brady. You know what I mean? Who do you think is at that level as a comic? Or at a huge level with like, they have a lot of ability. I'm going to say something right now. You're pausing like my wife and I'm going to attempt. I want to jump across the fucking show.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Get it the fuck out. I'm sorry, I'm qualified. No, no. Like a leftist in PR, or whatever. Me and Renazizi, we don't like this. And this may be putting you in the spot, but who do you think is like brilliant
Starting point is 00:31:56 and at the top level? Yeah. Who has worked their way there as opposed to having the most ability. Lewis Gomez. Louis-J. Gomez. Do you see the point? Like Marvin, I'm a huge boxing fan.
Starting point is 00:32:08 Marvin Haggler is a person who immense amount of talent, but worked his way up there with the ability. I think Shane has. I think Shane had the talent. They're all workers. But he, they, he, he, surrounded himself with people that were doing really interesting shit and when all he had this opportunity
Starting point is 00:32:24 right and then when that went away he just went back to what he does making skits and filming stuff and being part of things with the same people he didn't do anything different than what he was doing to get to where he was he just went back to what he was doing and that happened to fucking
Starting point is 00:32:40 take off you know what I mean people wanted that yeah you know he's very much in the ether at this point too yeah how do you know like it's And people, it's like... Because the Delco proper thing they did before tires? Yeah. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:32:54 It's so funny. Yeah, like there's a thing that he did. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. It's like, you know, look, I toured with Dane. Dane at that... Dane Cook. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:33:06 Sorry? The documentarian? They cut me the fuck out of it. What? I haven't seen it yet. Oh, we went over today at the bonfire. They blurred my face. It blurred your face.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Not my face. My body. Why? You didn't sign the release? No, we just, we haven't talked in a long time. So instead of just calling you and working it out, he's like, just blur Bobby's body. That's what the Torgasm was. It's a blur.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Oh, that was a fucking nutshell. There was. Who else did they blur, Gary? No, they blurred. It's a lot of blurr on Gary. They blurred Jay Hall out. Oh, so we were. He was the host.
Starting point is 00:33:47 right? No, we're Al and the Monkeys. We're an improv comedy group. That's where Dane started. And they were showing the, they really went over that pretty quick. And they just showed Al, who was in the documentary.
Starting point is 00:34:00 And Dane, it was standing, me and Jay would just blurred so you can barely see it. It was like Justin Timberlake story and like you were the rest of Insink. It's so funny, dude. I am, I was, I was, I was surgically removed
Starting point is 00:34:14 out of any, any part of, and I was in, for all of it. Yeah, dude, I remember you. I was there. I was there the other night. He was like, I think my, I mean, something's going on with my brother, I go, either he really wants his job or he's fucking taking you money. I would have been so good on this documentary
Starting point is 00:34:29 because I had. You said that? Yeah. Oh, my God. That sucks that you're not in because that makes it so much more compelling. Well, they put Al Do Benny in it and he was, I was there the night. Al just had to pretend, it was almost like he was pretending to be me. Wow. I was going to be, dude, this is fucking stupid, dude.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Really? I've ever kidding. But still, like, you know, the fact that you were there and... I was there, I was there when that night, I was there, I mean, I was there for a lot of these little things that happened. Oh, I was there. I was right in the car. I was in the car with him when he found it.
Starting point is 00:35:01 His mom had cancer. It was like the saddest thing ever. But I'm telling you right now, watch that documentary. I want to. It's good. Is it out? It's out now. Is it on demand? Or is it how much I have to pay on Prime? Oh, okay. It's $9.99 to buy it. I rented it. But you're not in it. I'm glad I did.
Starting point is 00:35:19 See yourself blurred out. I got blurred out. I got 30 days with this thing. And it's, I'm going to get it. I want to check it out. I'm telling you, bro, this fucking story is dynamic. Sure. And right now, I'm telling you, Dane, he did a fantastic job.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Because you're like, I know him and you're like, is he going to be, is he going to be playing it up? Is he going to, are there going to be these moments that you know were manufactured? You know, like, what do you think about this? having him relive it in his head. No, he was, I mean, I know him. And he was, he took the piss out of himself a lot. Yeah. He cracked, like he was pretty,
Starting point is 00:35:59 he cracked some pretty good jokes at these moments of, you know what I mean? I mean, it was a couple moments where he kind of hit him, you know what I mean? But it's a real, I was, vulnerable, honest. He took the piss out of himself. He got $12 million. Oh. He worked all this way, had all this money, and it was all taken away. And then he had to go back out and start making the money.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Well, the funny thing was is that he said, I told my manager, I went and did 80 arenas over the next two years. Because when the time this went back to court, he said, I don't want him. What he tried to do to me, I want to be fine. When he goes to court, when this happened, I was. He didn't, whatever you tried to do, it didn't work, motherfucker. Yeah, yeah. And he did do that, which is pretty crazy. But $12 million.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Did he have tax problems, too? Dude, he didn't pay $6 million in taxes. Oh, my God. Like six years in taxes. He never paid. So he owed the government $6 million. He lost $12. He had $150,000.
Starting point is 00:37:06 The brother went and took the last $3 million out of the bank and forged Dane's name and took it. Literally, they gave him $3 million in cash. and he took it in duffel bags and then drove across the car. Like narcos, dude. Like that who gives three million cash? It's so, in the wife, the guy's wife is so,
Starting point is 00:37:27 the whole thing is interesting. This is his brother or his brother? No, no, his stepbrother. Oh, I thought it was even more crazy to it. God, damn. I was there when you kind of saw the turn, you know? I remember we were in. You meet him?
Starting point is 00:37:41 I fucking, of course I know him. I know him. Did you sense it? You were like, I'm fucking new it. Buddy, I, when we started. It's like, it's like in Wall Street. Yeah, yeah. They're like, when they're taking Charlie Schen away.
Starting point is 00:37:54 And they're all like, I knew this kid was mad before. Yeah. Well, Dan. He was like, dude, you got to let my brother hand to your money. He's really great. Oh my God. And I'd be like, yeah, I'm going to look into it. As soon as he walk away, I go, are you out of your fucking mind?
Starting point is 00:38:07 I would never. Was he like, I mean, I'll go watch the movie. But was he like a financial advisor? Or was he just like, I'm his brother. I'm going to look after you. fucking guard at a prison. Oh, no. And before that, I was in Burger King.
Starting point is 00:38:20 But you got to understand the trajectory, trajectory. What? Fuck me. Come on, dude. Why did you try to bite that off? The trajectory. Spell that. Are you reading it?
Starting point is 00:38:30 First of all. First of all, we're doing a reading, we're doing a reading, not a spelling bee. I know, but to able to read, you have to be able to spell it. trajectory, trajectory, trajectory. I hope that words in it. You're going to fuck. If it is, I know you fuck me. I know you got into the judges.
Starting point is 00:38:48 His evolution. Oh, God. He switched it up. That was a good one. Whoa. His evolution. That's like four syllables. Was very fast.
Starting point is 00:38:57 So he went. His arc? His arc. It was so dumb. We can't think of another one. Metamorphosis? Nope. I don't even know what that means.
Starting point is 00:39:15 No, but his, yeah, his, his, His rise. Yeah. I'm dumbing it real down. Yep. His leveling up. His transformation.
Starting point is 00:39:25 His transformation. Ascent. His assent. Yeah. That means up. Burger King to security guard? No, not security guard. Prison guard.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Okay. But, you know, Dane was making so much money at colleges. His brother just would come down and do merch and set up a fucking huge merch table and just sell merch at colleges. And we're talking cash. and Dane would meet every single. Dane did not fuck around. Yeah. Like most headlenders I worked back then.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Would fucking sit in the green room or, you know, the fans. Small meet and greet, hot chicks, people that pay. He would meet every single fucking. Really? The merch line was longer than the show. Yeah. At the end of a college. Like that long.
Starting point is 00:40:09 And he would meet every fucking person. Again, worked his ass off. What'd you say? He worked his ass off. Like, that's like, that money's already made. He said the end one. Yeah. I was like, I'm not rich, boss.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Yeah, but so his brother would, you know, have that money and would handle that. So all of a sudden, he, you know, he's making, he's doing small theaters, and then he's doing arenas. And then he's on movies. And it got, his brother's still handling all this money. Wow. And he would, I do it. I saw, he would make fake documents. Like, you know, like Bing and this money's going here.
Starting point is 00:40:42 Like fake invoices and shit, like the made-off shit, like just fit, yeah. And but. Letterheads. You've got to watch it, though, because the ex-wife is the key to it, dude. When she came in, everything changed. And she's saying, I knew nothing about it. And she's, the first thing out of her mouth is, I'm a witch. What?
Starting point is 00:41:01 They're like, are you a witch? Yes, I am. Oh, my God. I love that. She's a witch. Wow. And when she came in, dude, it changed. And she's, I like expensive things.
Starting point is 00:41:13 And she's like, I knew nothing about anything. Oh. And it's like. You didn't know his. brother was an international fucking comedian. You didn't know there was $400,000 in spaghetti sauce in the freezer? Really? A little chubby.
Starting point is 00:41:26 You didn't get hungry a night and thar out one of those sauces for a little a little bolognese. And then you found a late night ziti plate. Fucking stack of hundreds. I mean, they found money. Brother-in-law was the only arena touring comedians in the world at the time. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Dude, they were finding money everywhere, dude. They went in the first time. They just found it a safe behind a picture. And there was just stacks of all hundreds in the safe. And then they went back because it's so interesting. One of the cousins in Florida was they were investing in his restaurants, right? Okay. They were, but it was Dane's money.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Oh, no. So this guy. What restaurant? Sorry, whose restaurants? Dane's cousins. Okay. Yeah, we're going to start a restaurant. They were starting restaurants.
Starting point is 00:42:14 So they were like, we will invest. So he was like, all right, he's just thinking, Darrell's investing. Yeah. You know what I mean? Or maybe Dane is investing, whatever it is. Yeah. And they, he was the one.
Starting point is 00:42:24 They got in touch with him like, what the fuck? So he's like, look, I had nothing to do with this. I'm just thinking of their vet. So the FBI was like, we want you to wear a wire. And he did. And he called the ex-wife while Darrell was fucking in prison and set her up and said. So he's frying chicken tenders and making phone calls. He was, uh, he was in prison or whatever.
Starting point is 00:42:45 so she he's like uh and you can invest she she came she came down with she built's coming out with $200,000 she came down with 400 400 grand in a fucking vacuum bag god oh my and then they then they busted her that's where they busted her he's like how the fuck did you have this if you didn't know anything was going on what yeah how did you know that where did you get 400k liquid i just thought my husband has saved some money oh yeah sure and in the fucking freezer. Did she go to jail? Well, yeah, she went to jail.
Starting point is 00:43:19 So they went back to her house, and now that's when they did the real search. They went in, they found hundreds in spaghetti sauce frozen. They found money in the underneath stuff with a string. If you pull it, just stacks of hundreds would come up. There was money all over their house. Wow. And they lived. It was kind of shitty.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Yeah. Like their house was real messy. You don't want to get. You don't want to go like how you crazy. Get a maid. Yeah. But you don't want a maid coming in. It's just like comedy meets true crime.
Starting point is 00:43:48 It is so fucking good. And the end of it, I don't know if you want to ruin it. It sounds super compelling. It's he got out, he's, she got out of jail. And then he made her an offer. If you do this documentary, she's supposed to pay him $50 a month until the she, they, she pays him back $12 million. What? How $50 a month?
Starting point is 00:44:09 Oh, my God. I don't know the math. $50 a month. I don't know the math on that, but that's. And they just took her serious. money away, which she's not. Oh, that's suck. And that's Sebastian's fault. He should think about that. Do the right
Starting point is 00:44:21 thing. Do the right. Sebastian, do the right thing. Come on. Maybe Dane will do the Sebastian documentary when it all falls apart on him. They can come and So she said, yeah. The brother said no, because he offered him the same deal. He had to pay him 50 bucks a month, too. The brother was like, fuck off. The wife... Really?
Starting point is 00:44:37 The wife was like... What a fucking thing. Fine. Fine. So she did it. Oh, my God. And then... I'm not doing it. Dude. It's got to be a weird. to have $50 a month go through a court doffing? You know, like, you can't just Venmo it. It's like, yeah, it's less than some people's only fans. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Yeah. subscriptions a month. Some people's a month. And Dave's a millionaire. To get that $50 a month is hilarious. But that's great for him, though. I bet it's the best $50 he gets all this. I bet it really is.
Starting point is 00:45:05 He was taken off serious, too, so he needs that. Oh, no, I'm kidding. He wasn't. Hey, stop telling yourself the hat is a style choice. It's a cover-up. Starting point is 00:46:49 He did three and a half for good behavior. They actually kept him in the jail he worked at for like a few months. They had to get him out. Because he was a guard there. So they were to fucking Oh my God. The reason why I left is he got fucked up by one of the inmates. Fucked him up. Oh yeah, because you're a guard.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Took his canteen money. Dame was like, you're never working there again. You're working for me. I'm giving you this much money, which is crazy, like 100-something thousand a year. You do my merch, blah, blah. and then he wound up giving him another raise after that. So he took him out of that life, put him in this life, and it wasn't enough. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:47:22 So he got out of jail, and at the end of the movie, it's crazy. I got to Dane, I swear to God, through the whole thing, he's still cracking jokes. Even at the end of the movie, he's still making a couple jokey jokes. That's good. He did end it like Dane, though. He was like, I'll be back. Some shit was. I'll be bigger than ever.
Starting point is 00:47:43 hand the Sufi At the end he went I got one I got yeah yeah I got the way
Starting point is 00:47:49 I don't know I don't know there was a thing that him and his brother said and he just he said it again yeah we're gonna make it something he got up
Starting point is 00:47:56 and walked out he had a couple and he really does know how to end a scene like yeah man we were here I look at it now
Starting point is 00:48:03 and you know it's kind of sad yeah he does that whip away he really know yeah the whip away he's good at the whip away very good at
Starting point is 00:48:12 I would love for somebody to do that and like a chair that swipples and just came all the way back. Come back, yeah. But at the end, it says, it tells you where everybody is.
Starting point is 00:48:21 And guess his brother, yeah, got it. His brother. So they're saying, you know, where the wife lives and blah, blah, blah. And they say where his brother is, guess where his brother? They don't, he quit his job of FedEx,
Starting point is 00:48:36 and they don't know where he works. Guess where he lives now? Florida. I would say Florida. Nope. Dane's guess. Tells. Jesus?
Starting point is 00:48:47 Fucking lives in L.A. What is frightening. To me. Why would you choose L.A.? You wants to rob him again? I don't know, dude. I heard that... Do they reconcile?
Starting point is 00:49:01 No. I mean, how could you? He's not... I don't know. He might... What would be the purpose of living in L.A.? If you didn't want to reconcile. It's weird.
Starting point is 00:49:09 But they were... You understand. Dane and his family, his mom, his sister... There's... Super close. Dude. They're very tight.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Dude, it was... I don't know. I'm telling you. They were... It almost was weird to me how tight they were because I came from my family who left me,
Starting point is 00:49:26 hung me out to dry. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. When you go to a friend's wedding and you see them, the family's like singing to each other and you're... What the fuck is happening?
Starting point is 00:49:35 Sometimes I look at you guys and I'm like, why don't you guys... Oh, you guys are fucking better children. Sorry. God. Yeah, I was in juvie jail.
Starting point is 00:49:43 My mom moved. while I was not once she did it twice like moved you got locked up twice as a kid I got up three times I think she did it three times
Starting point is 00:49:56 yeah I just came out and she's like we're in Pennsylvania what what yeah yeah she moved with her new husband and my sister and I had to like go and holy shit they get to take a greyhound to like Valley Forge
Starting point is 00:50:09 yeah yeah like yeah it was stupid He's trying down bus after you get up. So his relationship with his mom never really made, because he'd be like, my mom said, I'm like, what the fuck you fucking, your mom's giving you advice, you pussy?
Starting point is 00:50:23 But now I have a kid, and I'm like, he had a really nice relationship with his mom. Yeah, that's a good thing. Yeah. And my mom never gave me advice. So, yeah, they were very close. And his brother and him wore. Dude, I can't tell you how close they were.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Wow. He would always say, my brother's the best. He takes care of everything. He takes care of me. He would try to get you to, he had so much belief in this guy. he would try to get his friends, let my brother handle your money. You know, I mean, what's he going to take for me?
Starting point is 00:50:49 Fucking, $1,300. I would have known right away. I would have went to buy a candy bar. Hey, man. I can't get, I can't get a candy bar. Twix? Got to be heartbreaking on so many levels for Dane. Like, like, the money thing is a thing, obviously,
Starting point is 00:51:04 but like. The trust. The trust. And then also, like, you go, like, $12 million being stolen is one thing, but then finding out you're another $6 million dollars in the hole on taxes. It's just like And that nobody's sorry.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Yeah. That's no remorse. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. No remorse. You guys bitching about serious money. Uh huh? Yeah. Try what happened to Dan Cook. Yeah. What's the Dan Vitale line? Uh, you'd be surprised how much give the floor has when you hit bottom. Oh, I don't know, dude. I don't know. Who's Dan Vitale? He was on S&L. I don't know what that. As a writer? Codeman. Yeah. Yeah. He was a performer. What was it again?
Starting point is 00:51:42 you'd be surprised how much give the floor has when you hit bottom. So like losing $12 million and then finding out you owe $6 million to the government is fucking. Because they're not going to be like you don't owe it. Shane, I'm going to say right now, I appreciate you dumbing that down for both me and Steve. Because we both nod on our head like, yeah. I didn't have any idea what you meant. I was like there's a floor below the floor, the sub floor? The floor is bouncy?
Starting point is 00:52:04 Yeah. Like I like a, oh, you're talking about a wrestling ring. Yeah, like it. Yeah, yeah. Talking about a Hulk Hogan match like the UFC mat. Isn't that a good thing if the floor has? I would rather bounce off of it than hit it hard. Yeah, I don't want a hard floor.
Starting point is 00:52:16 At least the course compromise. Yeah. I hate that stupid saying. Yeah. You know what I didn't like about the saying is that when he went, I thought you guys would know who Davidolli was. No, I was like Billy Vitale. We're having a readoff.
Starting point is 00:52:28 If you play shortstop for the Mets? He was in comedy. He was on SNL. I thought he was a shortstop for the Mets. Bobby Vitale. Well, then no, I wouldn't know who he was. Yeah. Yeah, dude, it's, here's the thing to have.
Starting point is 00:52:41 It's such a compelling story. his mother passes in the year his father dad died right away too right of cancer right away and then this happens yeah at the peak of being the biggest comic on earth at the peak of being the motherfucker yeah and then your mom who is your best friend your father who they were very close gone and your brother who you're so close who you're left with yeah like like that's the person And not just took some money. Tried to take it all. All of it.
Starting point is 00:53:15 And bury you. Yeah. And he, I mean, dude, you talk about a comeback story? Yeah. Fucking A. That's what I'm saying. It's like, it's a really good story. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:23 How he didn't unalive himself, like after all that shit, you know? Yeah. Wild. On alive? What are you? What do you think we're getting fucking flagged? You fucking fagg? I thought it did.
Starting point is 00:53:34 It did surprise me that you used that. I know, but I've been saying kill himself. Why don't you kill yourself for using that? I know, but I've been doing that a lot of. recently. Why? Why? I just been like, I kill yourself, you know. You're on Legion of Skacks. And now, no, but my wife's like, you, that's people say they unalive themselves. Yeah. And I go, oh, really? Yeah, your grandfathered in for a lot of words. And that's one of them. I'm not going to say the other ones, because I don't know if we're still grandfathering.
Starting point is 00:53:58 But it's father. You lose the grand, okay? My father. Yeah, it's crazy what happened to that kid. And this is, uh... That sucks. I mean, look. I never was close with him I always, you know, very, very like I would watch him and go Oh, like you watch him at Dublin's You watch him at the laugh fact
Starting point is 00:54:21 It was like annoyed It was crazy dude It was like a rock show It was crazy. It was like You get annoyed because it was like He's doing something that we're not even I don't even know what he's doing What's what I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:54:32 Does some people have that thing? Yeah, that thing I was on all the show I was on a lot of those shows Murdering In front of him. Yeah. And I should be selling.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Half arenas. You know what I mean? Yeah. A good size theaters. A good size theater. A good size theater. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Yes. Yeah. Is it because I'm not funny? Is it because I, I'm not entertained. Who the fuck knows? Probably. Wow. I should have just kept my mouth shut.
Starting point is 00:55:01 I don't know why. You can't ask hypotheticals like that. Wow. With a group like this. I don't got it. It's basically. You're like, no. I don't have what what it is.
Starting point is 00:55:11 What that is. is what that is. Yeah, he's got that thing at that time, you know what I mean? There's a lot that comes with that too, though. What? Money. Fame, pussy. Yeah, but all those things can be real real awesome. Fuck you. I know. I know. Oh, God. I fucking did a weekend in Florida, and not one chick came up to me.
Starting point is 00:55:33 I brought Cody with me. This son of a bitch doesn't say a word. Just hanging out front. He gets a chick. Not even gets a chick. Like every girl was just like, you're funny. Oh, my God. And he doesn't want anything. He's got a girlfriend, so he wants nothing to do with any of these smoking hot milves.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Yep. I don't want to fucking do anything. I just want you to fucking... I just want to be known to be, to want to be wanted. Not wanted by one of them. I'm just wanted by a wife and her husband. God bless you guys. I love you guys.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Yep. But I got Lugats. Lugats. What? Nothing. It's U-Gats. You're Gugats. It's U-Gats.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Yeah, lots going on this week of comedy. You got to, it's decisions to be made, dude. People are drawn. Yeah, people are drawn lines in the sand. Like, I think Adrian's mad that I have not posted a video yet. She's mad at you. I don't think, I mean, I don't know, but she's like, do the right thing. Yeah, but.
Starting point is 00:56:30 And I know what the right thing is, and I understand the right thing. I, I'm on that side. I'm just, I don't know, like, I feel like these videos and stuff. I don't know. I know bringing attention to the men. matter is helpful, but like after a while. Yeah, but you know what? I'll just call Sebastian. But I tried. He'll answer me.
Starting point is 00:56:49 He won't, he didn't answer me. That's okay. I'll call him right now. We'll call him right now. I know he saw my message because it says scene. I'll call him right the fuck now. Ready? This is not going to be Sebastian. Why not? Someone that does the best in person. Sodor is going to be doing Sebastian. I'll call him right now. Hello? Hi. What's up?
Starting point is 00:57:11 Hey, baby. Did you make steak tonight? I did. What's up? Why'd you call me? You just called me. You know I'm doing a show. What to tell you about that? I called you by mistake. Well, that hurts. But dial. That really hurts.
Starting point is 00:57:28 I knew you're working. I didn't call you when I knew you're working. Okay. All right. I love you. I love you, too. Talk to you later. You think I should make a video from Sebastian? He gets it. That's what I'm saying. You like those checks, don't you, baby? You sicko.
Starting point is 00:57:54 All right. You know, that steak money. Yeah. All right, Bub, I'll talk to you later. I love you. Well, that I'm so. Bye. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Where those granny panties? Oh, my God. Jesus Christ, you're gross. Bye, baby. They're comfortable. Oh, Jesus. That's, fuck, goodbye. That's what you want to hear from you.
Starting point is 00:58:14 They're comfortable. I like them because they go over my stomach. Yeah, well, listen. maybe you should make the video what's the video gonna do? I told you nothing it's like your wife said it's gonna be just piling on at this point. I think the point has been made
Starting point is 00:58:31 you know I'll make a video if I have to I'll do one tomorrow I guess but like at this point what are we get what is it going to accomplish you're gonna make you're gonna make what's your name happy? I know Adrian I want to make a joke I want to make everybody happy I don't want anyone fighting this is the dumbest thing in the world
Starting point is 00:58:48 that we're fighting but I understand this is something to actually fight about, yes, because this is about money. And this is about the, you know, the gent, like the wealth gap, the every sort of, you know, the people that are working a lot. Hang on, let them work this out. Come on, dude, you know what I'm talking about. He'll make me say every word. Go ahead, do it.
Starting point is 00:59:09 The people that are making the money versus the people that are just, you know, getting by. And they have to be compensated. And they were, and now that opportunity's gone away. How about that? That was fucking miserable. Shane, you take it. Put on those granny opinions. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:59:27 I think it's one of those things. I don't think you're not, you're doing something wrong by not posting. Yeah. Like, I really don't because I think people saying, like, take a political side a lot of the time, especially over something like this, which is like, you know, like people will,
Starting point is 00:59:43 a lot of people will still be okay, even though it's hard for them. Yeah. Is, like, making people vote, essentially. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Make people have an opinion, they may not have an opinion on it, I think, is a slippery slope. Yeah. But I also see, like, in this situation, I think the right thing is to post.
Starting point is 01:00:01 I don't blame you or scream at you for not doing it. And other people can if they want to, like, but then again, that gets pretty close to being like, Sebastian's a piece of shit. Like, I'm not saying that. Like, like, like, like, don't take my silence as, as, as, you know, an endorsement. Exactly. It is also not a vote of confidence. Yes. So you're not going to do the video.
Starting point is 01:00:24 I don't know. Steve ain't doing the video. I might do the video tomorrow. You're not doing it. If you do a video tomorrow, I won't like you. I know. That's why I'm like, oh, God, I've seen everyone do it. There's been good ones already.
Starting point is 01:00:38 There's been bad ones, you know. But also the good comics are the ones making a lot of the good video. Like a lot of comics I respect are coming in with the tone that it, like, exactly. And the level of thought that. makes me a fan of the comedy they make as well. You don't like. You shouldn't, Sebastian's name shouldn't be in it. But that's the problem is that the hashtag is Sebastian's.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Yeah, you fucked up by making that. By putting him as your president and you didn't even give him a heads up. You should have been like, someone should have been like, we need to get in touch to Sebastian. Sebastian, we're going to do this. We need you to. Apparently, they've been there. People have tried to reach out to him. Personally, friends-wise.
Starting point is 01:01:14 You need to get to it. You got to put up the Sebastian Batlight in L.A. But that's what this is. Huh? That's what this is. That's what the, yeah. Because if I didn't know people were reaching out before this. That's what I had read today that people were like, we try to reach out.
Starting point is 01:01:28 This is people trying to like get his attention now. Because I told Adrian, I go, I just out of respect, I'm going to reach out to him and talk to him before so that, you know, the first thing he doesn't see is a video of me. I think shitting on him before he gets to, you know, talk to me. Now, he didn't run me back and that's the way it goes. And now I can do whatever I want. But the point is like I would write to reach out. out first and say something. I think that's how a respectful person does it.
Starting point is 01:01:52 Look, I went through this with the comedy union. When we were trying to start a union in Manhattan. Yeah, it was the clubs weren't paying enough. We all got together. We met in the fucking meeting room. And we're all like, well, we got a band together. And we can't do this. And we won't work these clubs until they pay us more.
Starting point is 01:02:08 And you know what happened? The fucking Middlers just went in headline. The fucking MCs became Middlers. And the comics weren't getting staged time became the emcees. And they're like, we'll do it. It never worked. It had a strike at the comedy store with Leno and Letterman. Yeah, but you can't blame people for trying to make a change. We don't.
Starting point is 01:02:25 We don't have a union. We don't have. We're not. It's a singular thing. It's a... We're historically not inclined to be working well together. No, but... What's a solo art form? Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 01:02:36 You know, like in... You have a community, but a lot of times the community is a scene. I work for serious. I don't think, I don't know if... I'm pretty sure I'm still on the rotation because I work for CIR. I think... should absolutely make a channel for everybody. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Just put them on. But they're a business. You guys do what the fuck? It's your business. You know what I mean? Now, if Sirius comes out and they go, look, you want to play hardball? Here we go. Nobody was listening to the fucking channel you guys wanted to listen to, right?
Starting point is 01:03:06 And now people are listening to this. So what do you want to do? We're running a business here. Yeah, if that's the case. But also. Okay. But that's also your labor. These comics are your labor.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Yes. You know what I mean? Like, that's like, that's like, that's an important. important thing. Like, but what they're saying is, you're a labor and you're the guy who tightens the bolts on the wheel. You know, like it is, they don't have a product without these comics. Of course. You know, like, and they may not have a product anyways
Starting point is 01:03:27 because it is a bloated thing. Yeah. But like if, uh, you know, if whoever is a superstar comic that's on that channel right now or it has stayed on goes, hey, I got 10 guys at my level and we're all pulling our shit off. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, that's a thing that makes them take
Starting point is 01:03:43 notice, but some, you have to find a, you know, your strength is in your numbers when you're a small. I mean, let's just play this game. How many people fold, this was Bert. Bert would have done it already. Bert would have, you would have, inconsolable. Bert would have been crying. He'd have been heartbroken.
Starting point is 01:03:58 He would have, he'd be, you would see posts of him crying and trying to make it right. And like, you also would have been, you would have seen that. And then you would have seen, all right, cut, a little more crying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, like, I just. And then I'd be like, I'll be on the road with Bert, crash. Yeah, a person like him would, I think he would, it would, like something like this, a backlash like this. It would also be sincere.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Yeah. Even if it's a business decision for Sebastian to be like, you're right, I'm a good, like I need to be a good guy here. Even if it's fully motivated by business and his brand or whatever you want to fucking call it, it's still the right thing to do. And he's still doing like a business type thing by being silent up at this way. There's no way he hasn't heard about it. So it's like he's trying to get his ducks in a lot of reaction.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Let me ask you question. What would be the thing that would make him kiss? Huh? Make him kiss a cat Williams. Make him kiss everybody who. who's left on the chance. That's true. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:48 What could he do? So if he comes out and goes, listen, guys, I heard you. I heard you. Yeah. I'm going to make a change. Yep. A difference, if you may. I can't do a good way.
Starting point is 01:05:04 You're going to tell me that I can't play who I want on my own channel. Put your foot on the table when you do it. Yeah. If he comes out and says, listen. says like, hey guys, I didn't realize this was going on. Holy shit. Let's just go back to the regular programming with everybody in. I'm going to throw my podcast on there.
Starting point is 01:05:24 There's a lot of great. Do you think he has that power? I don't know. I have no idea. I think he can write it done. You think so? Yes. You really think that.
Starting point is 01:05:33 If he wrote up a check. He made $40 million last year, and it's not the only year he's made $40 million. Oh, yeah, dude. So like, he can get it done because he's got that. And there are morality clauses and contracts you can like, and these kind of deals, there are ways to get out of them and take some i have a solution if he doesn't do it we get dan's brother to take care of his money oh yeah you see him in that would he knows how to do it he knows how to do it we'll get that money back we'll get that money and then we we have that divvied up between the comments
Starting point is 01:06:02 you want to robin hood this guy there's like it's like a creative sentencing kind of like this yeah like you give him like he didn't do it right ocean's 11 we're stealing from us to give back to us it's like oceans 11 and sebash the the the little savi dude is now is now is not I always take a couple. I'm not just, I, I've done the video thing. I know. And it slapped me in the face. What happened?
Starting point is 01:06:23 Black Lives Matter. Oh, you did it? Just going on the day of my. I had to archive that right away. Does what I'm saying sound crazy? No. Like, like, I'm being sincere. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:37 No, it does not at all. No. No. When anybody's, everybody who's saying, hey, man, serious man, what the fuck is. I get it. This is even more important than a pay raise. This is like we just want to keep the money that we had before. The pennies that we were getting.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Yeah. So that's completely understandable to me. There's nothing about this, but I just think that going at Sebastian is kind of the backwards way. Yeah, I think there's people trying to get his attention and there's people that are going at. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could have, you could have hashtag Sirius XM. Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Well, I mean, that was part of it too. Yeah, but it's not hashtag. It's like, yo, Sebastian, man, help us out. these guys made your took our channel took us all off your channel I have a little bit of this like you said some people have reached out to him a few times right like so there's a little bit like well man
Starting point is 01:07:24 we fucking we tried like there's no like you don't get to just ignore it like you can but this might happen too like so if that but also that's why I would feel bad making a video I'm gonna I tried to talk to you yeah we all have side of it famous famous friends
Starting point is 01:07:41 and when we text them you go and they actually actually get back to you, you're like, oh my. Yeah, like, they're so busy. Who's the most famous person that's made a video? Soder, Morel, Norman. Torres. Yeah, Torres. The most famous Shane in comedy. Did Shane make a video?
Starting point is 01:08:01 No. No, what are you going to say about that? No Shane. No, no Ari. No Shane. You think Ari's going to make a video. Ari's a fucking red coat. He's already moved across. Our video would be like, take it all, Sebastian. Fuck him. You deserve it.
Starting point is 01:08:15 Well, I thought it was like... Tim Dillon made one. Yeah, but he... That was like, blew my mind in a way because he's like, so wants to be part of the ruling class. Yes. Yeah, I get too sincere. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:27 I suck. I know, that's what happens. I start to cry. I'm like, every we played softball? Come to serve. Yeah. Come to steerage with all the eyes. Sebastian, remember we did JFL together?
Starting point is 01:08:37 That's everyone, that's my other favorite thing about these videos. Everyone is trying to tell everyone how they know Sebastian. Yeah. It's like, I've known Sebastian forever. By the way, we used to weigh tables at the, you know, at this place together. Or we used to do comedy at this shithole together. It's like, great. Everybody knows Sebastian.
Starting point is 01:08:52 But isn't that the tone you want in the way? Like, if you don't want people attacking the guy, but getting his attention. Yes, but much like Vaugh. Much like Voss's video. I don't need your whole IMDB. Yeah. You know, like anecdotal stories about how you're connected to this fucking story. It was the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:09:08 Yes, exactly. It was a, the Cowboys lost, so we weren't a good thing. I really don't, I really want to investigate at that 150 TV shows. Oh, I know. Dude, pull that list up. Pull that, pull up. Rich's IMDB. He's watched 150.
Starting point is 01:09:22 There's no three digits on that fucking page. No hundreds. I've done over 150 television appearances. I brought Patrice into Opie and Anthony. He's claiming basically the entire Patrice's career for. I've been on Opie and Anthony more times than any other comedian. Even Jim? The guy who's on every day, that guy?
Starting point is 01:09:43 20 years I know, dude Ah, Voss is the best He really is When I saw his video He was the first one I saw And I go
Starting point is 01:09:52 This thing's doomed I go I go it's over For this thing Yeah, I should have went Shane first Yeah
Starting point is 01:09:59 Someone reputable Someone with a With a Would they could speak Yeah He barely read the Let me tell you something I saw it
Starting point is 01:10:08 I go First of all I've done 150 Yeah I've been doing it for 40s That's something different to talk about. I don't want to talk about
Starting point is 01:10:15 so it's you too and that hilarities won't call me back that's up to them. I don't want to talk about how I play Rini Brands Club all the time and he told me
Starting point is 01:10:23 a date and he hasn't called me back. That's not about it. Listen, I used to do the Wilbur, but now I don't. All right, listen guys, I don't think we've solved
Starting point is 01:10:35 nothing. We did nothing. We solved nothing. I might make a video but I haven't decided yet. You're not. I can't wait to tell how are you going to tell us
Starting point is 01:10:42 you missed a book. video is for Sebastian Manuscalco via Bobby Kelly. We talked last night and we both agree. You're a piece of shit. You're not making it. I guarantee there's no video you tomorrow. Not a chance. I probably won't.
Starting point is 01:10:57 No, you're going to wake up. I think by tomorrow it's over. Now, you're going to forget as soon as you're driving back to your house tonight. I know, but I just hope like my hope is like I'm driving. You have a house? A nice house. You fucking. And then I go, oh.
