Starting point is 00:00:56 Welcome to R-slash, Am I Wrong, where OP gets revenge against two bullies at school. Am I wrong for pressing charges on two girls who beat me up at school? I'm a 17-year-old girl, and I got beat up at school a year ago. These two girls are no stranger to physical violence in the school that I was in. They've been suspended multiple times for getting physical with other students. Around a year ago, I walked into the bathroom to see two girls vaping in the stall. I said sorry for interrupting and left. Later on that day, they ended up getting their bags searched and the office never found the vapes they had. After class, I was walking to the cafeteria to eat breakfast when they walked by me and said,
Starting point is 00:01:37 Oh, there's the snitch. I'm a beat your butt later. Of course, I didn't tell on them because at the time, I was vaping too. I didn't believe they would actually beat me up because I was a quiet kid at school who got okay grades. I changed my mind quickly after that. I was walking to my automotive class when the two girls walked up behind me and smashed my head on the brick school wall. After that, they continued to be. to stomp me and kick me and punch me while their friends recorded it. Afterwards, another student carried me to the nurse's office where EMTs came and checked me out to make sure I was okay. A cop came and asked me if I wanted to press charges against them, to which I said yes. Am I wrong? O.P. posted an update to say, after she pressed charges,
Starting point is 00:02:22 the two bullies were arrested and expelled. Good, that should have happened a long time ago. Finally, someone stood up to them. Good on you, O.P. Am I wrong for demanding that my sister go through the punishment that she framed me for? I'm a 19-year-old guy, and I was a rebellious, disobedient kid growing up, and my sister, who's 17, usually followed the rules. When I was 16 and she was 14, I had gotten into a streak of misbehavior. Most punishments proved ineffective. After doing some research, they found out about this thing called a buck rag that would make even
Starting point is 00:02:57 hardened rebels submit, and they found a website where you'd be a website where you'd be a can buy them from a goat farm. They're rags that have been wiped all over billy goats, as in bucks, for days on end so that they smell like them. And then they're sealed in these little glass jars. My parents told me that any more misbehavior and I would have to hold my nose in there and smell it for three minutes as punishment. I laughed at first, but my dad took me outside and made me take one whiff from five feet away, and after that, yeah, I was not laughing. So, I shaped up. I didn't ever want to smell that again. Then one day, when my parents were out of town, my sister uncharacteristically had a little party at the home against our parents' rules. It got
Starting point is 00:03:42 out of control with some alcohol spills and a broken vase. When my parents came home and asked what happened, she told them I did it. My parents believed her, which I don't blame them too much for, and I got buck dragged for six minutes, three for the party and three for lines. My sister watched me through the window the whole time. My relationship with her was never the same. Time passed, and I actually did get along better with my parents, and eventually I moved out for college. My parents threw out the rag after I behaved better for a while.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Recently, one of my sister's friends admitted to our parents at the party happened, and their truth came out. My parents felt really bad and apologized to me, and I said that I don't blame them, and I've been tepidly reconciled with my sister, for a little while now. But I said that I think it would only be fair if she has to go through the six-minute punishment that I got. My parents tried to tell me to let bygones be bygones, but I said, no, this is the only way that I could really feel that justice was served. I even purchased my own
Starting point is 00:04:47 buck rag and brought it home to my parents last weekend. They've been thinking it over and talking with my sister and say they think it's only fair that she does this. She's been crying and saying, I know that it was wrong. I said I was sorry though. It's been years. I thought we got rid of that rag. Don't make me do that now. I'm a girl. It'll be way worse for me and all this stuff. My parents are still trying to figure out if it's the right thing to do and have asked me a few times. But I just can't bring myself to free her from going through this, even though she's pleaded with me for leniency and saying that it's really mean for me to bring this back up with her years later. No way, O.P., there's a lot. There's a lot. There's a lot. There's a lot. There's a lot. There's a lot. There's, no statute of limitations on getting back at your siblings. Hey, if you ask me, the sister isn't the only person who should get six minutes. Your parents should also get six minutes each for this gross misappropriation of justice. You know, if someone goes to jail for years and then later the state finds out that, you know, they're innocent, the state has to pay out lots of money to the person who went to jail.
Starting point is 00:05:52 So either your parents need to suffer or they got to fork over some cash. Am I wrong for dining and dashing because I didn't want to wait for the check? I'm a 37-year-old woman, and I'm a doctor who takes calls at a level 2 trauma hospital. This means I just have to be readily available within 30 minutes, so I don't have to stay inside the hospital if I'm not needed. I went to eat fuh that was just a short five minutes away. Halfway through my meal, the operating room charge called me to let me know that they have an emergency case that was just posted. I wolfed down the remaining foe while trying to flag the waitress down.
Starting point is 00:06:27 After being unsuccessful twice, I left the card on the table as I finished eating. She still did not come, so I went to the front to pay. The person in front said that they would flag my server down, which is weird because most fuh places will let you pay up front. My waitress came over and said that she'll get to me after sitting the next guest. But she sat them down and was waiting for their order, then started talking to another server while waiting for them to look at their menu. I walked up to her and asked for the check because I have to go.
Starting point is 00:06:58 She turned and stared at me, then said, You aren't special, you can sit back at your table, and I'll get to you when I get to you. Mind you, I didn't ask for anything during my stay. I was not a demanding customer. So I went to my table, wrote down my phone number with a short message, text me to arrange payment, and left. The manager called me later, and I told her the event.
Starting point is 00:07:19 The manager gave me the meal for free. The waitress later texted me saying that I was a giant butthole because the manager was deducting it from her wages. For clarity, I spent about 10 minutes trying to pay. O.P., considering that someone theoretically could have died, I mean, I don't know what the case is, but death is on the line. I think you're pretty easily in the clear here, especially since you did everything you could. Also, that waitress sucks. Some people in the comments are criticizing O.P. for not being prepared and carrying cash, I think that's dumb. In 2026, carrying cash is completely irrelevant, in my opinion. Am I wrong for
Starting point is 00:07:55 kicking a guy out of my car on the highway because he kept vaping? I'm currently being blasted in our group chat and called a dangerous psychopath, so I need to know if I actually crossed a line here. Yesterday, I was driving back to the city after visiting my parents for the weekend. A guy that I know tangentially through a local board gaming group asked if he could hitch a ride with me to save money on a train ticket. I figured, why not? It's a two-hour drive, and having some company would keep me awake. Before he even opened the passenger door, I told him explicitly that I have a strict, no smoking, and no vaping rule in my vehicle. I have chronic asthma, and certain synthetic berry scents trigger a massive coughing fit that makes it completely unsafe for me to operate
Starting point is 00:08:39 heavy machinery at 70 miles per hour. He nodded, said he totally understood, and threw his bags in the back. About 40 minutes into the trip were on a major highway stretch. I catch a sudden movement out of the corner of my eye. I look over and this dude has his blue vape pin out, taking a massive drag. He tried to hide it under his jacket, but a second later, the entire cabin is filled with a thick cloud of fake strawberry chemical stench. I immediately rolled down all the windows, started coughing, and told him to put it away right now. He apologized, claimed it was just a reflex and shoved it into his pocket. Ten minutes later, I see him doing it again. He thought that if he blew the vapor directly against the passenger window glass, it would magically disappear. I pulled
Starting point is 00:09:26 over onto the shoulder immediately. I was furious. I told him he's disrespecting my boundaries and risking my health. He rolled his eyes, called me dramatic, and said that it was just harmless water vapor. I told him to put it away or he's getting out. The absolute breaking point happened 20 minutes after that. I smelled that sweet garbage scent again. He didn't even wait for me to look. He just kept puffing away like he owned the place. I didn't say a word. I pulled over at the very next highway exit ramp near a gas station, unlocked the doors, and told him to get his stuff and get out of my car. He went completely ballistic saying, I can't leave him stranded in the middle of nowhere. It was a populated exit with a proper service station and an Uber could easily reach him. But he
Starting point is 00:10:12 refused to move until I literally grabbed his backpack from the back seat and set it on the curb. Now, our mutual friends are saying I'm a monster for leaving someone on the road over some vapor. Well, you didn't do it over vapor. You did it over the guy being a prick. Like the top comment, you should have asked him for a drag and then thrown it out the window. Am I wrong for refusing to pay for my nephew's college after my sister spent years calling my life immoral? My sister and I had never really seen eye to eye on how to live. She went the traditional route and had four kids by the time she was 30, while I decided to stay child-free and focus on my career in commercial real estate. I've done pretty well for myself, and I don't hide it. I travel
Starting point is 00:10:55 often, and I bought a nice place in the city, which has apparently been a huge thorn in her side for a decade. Every holiday or family dinner, she finds a way to make a comment about my empty life, or how my focus on money and status is basically a sin. She's literally called me a selfish person in front of our entire family because I would rather buy a new car than subsidize her lifestyle. Fast forward to last month, her oldest son, who's actually a great kid, got into a top tier university. The problem is they have zero savings because they lived way beyond their means trying to keep up appearances with a single income and four children. My sister, called me crying and asked if I could cover his tuition for the first two years. She didn't even
Starting point is 00:11:42 apologize for the years of judgmental garbage she spewed at me. She just acted like it was my duty as the rich aunt to step up for the family. I told her that since my lifestyle is so immoral and selfish, she probably shouldn't want any of my tainted money for her son's education. I told her no, and now the family group chat is a war zone. My mom is telling me that I'm being vindictive, and that the kid shouldn't suffer just because his mom has a big mouth. I get that, but I'm not a bank, and I'm definitely not a bank for people who treat me like a moral failure until they need a check.
Starting point is 00:12:18 My sister even had the nerve to say that I should be grateful to help because I don't have any real responsibilities of my own. That just solidified my decision. I'm not rewarding her behavior with 60 grand just to keep the peace. My nephew sent me a message saying he understands, but he sounds devastated, and it makes me feel like a jerk. But every time I think about helping, I remember her calling me a materialistic ghost at Thanksgiving three years ago.
Starting point is 00:12:46 I am probably being petty, but I feel like respect is a two-way street, and she burned that bridge a long time ago. Now, they're all saying I'm proving her right about being selfish, but I think I'm just finally setting a boundary they can't ignore. Anyway, I'm planning a trip to Japan for next spring, so I guess that'll give them something new to complain about. All those people who are complaining to O.P.,
Starting point is 00:13:09 why don't they pay for the tuition? Why is it up to O.P.? Man, people turn into such hypocrites when money becomes an issue. Am I wrong for telling my parents that my brother deserved to get stabbed? My brother broke into our neighbor's house attempting to rob them. He also tried to strangle their cat before the husband stabbed him several times. Our parents asked me to help with all the medical and medical and legal bills, but I told them, no. My parents started saying that he's still my brother and I should help.
Starting point is 00:13:40 I said that I don't care about him anymore, not after what he did. And then, when they kept pestering me, I said that he deserved to get stabbed. It's only afterwards that I realized that they might hate what he did, but he's still their son. Should I have just held my tongue? You know, I don't know how else to say this, but breaking into someone's home and trying to kill their pets is getting stabbed behavior. That was our slash am I wrong.
