Welcome to R-slash nuclear revenge, where OP gets hit with a death threat, and OP responds by taking
away every single thing that person holds dear.
Our next Reddit post is from Equally Bad.
So this happened about 10 to 15 years ago.
It's been a long time.
It's the sweetest revenge.
I was born in the States, but my family are immigrants.
My dad worked as butt off to become a U.S. citizen, working three jobs.
riding a bike to work because he couldn't afford a car. He and his dad saved all their money so they could get the
rest of the family here. I say this because I understand the struggles immigrants face coming to America,
starting a new life without any supports. I would never do this to someone actually trying to better their
life. This piece of trash, though, didn't deserve to be here. This story is about my best friend's
boyfriend. He lived with her in her family's house renting a room, driving her car to work,
and using her cell phone that her parents paid for.
She was 19 at the time.
I was about 21.
I was working at a club with my boyfriend.
I worked really late and I had two kids.
I asked my best friend if she could come over and watch my kids while they slept,
basically just hang out at my place.
My son was about 6 to 7 years old.
The little one was less than a year old at the time.
She asked if she could have people over so she wasn't bored.
I said, sure, I don't mind.
I asked that she just not throw any parties.
We laughed as she agreed.
Everything was fine when we got back.
I thanked her and she left.
Later that night, I saw a cup with a cigarette butt in it.
So I text her friend and asked her if someone smoked in the house.
The reply I received didn't make any sense, reading,
What kind is it?
I said, I don't know.
In my mind, there were only like two other people here.
How could you not know if one of them smoked inside?
She's not a smoker, so I knew it wasn't her.
I started receiving more questions.
instead of a yes or no answer. The replies also didn't make much sense. It was broken English and had stupid
spelling mistakes. By this point, I knew that I wasn't talking to my friend. Instead, I was talking to her
boyfriend. My best friend is white, and he's Mexican. He was trying to fool me so that I would tell him
who she was with here. I never liked him. Not for any specific reason, he just rubbed me the wrong
way from the beginning. They've been dating for about a year or two. By this point,
point, I knew that he was a piece of trash. I really disliked him because of how he treated her.
He was controlling and abusive. I didn't see her as much anymore because I'd gotten into an argument
with him at her house earlier that year. We all wanted to go to a friend's place. He didn't. He said
he couldn't go either. She wanted to, but he said no. I told her we were leaving. It was really
late, but this butthole made a big deal about it. He decided it was a good idea to wake up her
dad, so her dad would force her to stay home. This pissed me off because he has no respect. He lives
in her home and he can't even let her dad sleep. Besides, she was an adult, not to mention her dad
never cared if she was going anywhere with me. Her parents knew that if she was with me, she was
safe. After that minor blow up, I decided not to be around him. I wouldn't be able to hide my
contempt of him. I didn't understand why she stayed with him, especially after she told
me that he forced himself on her. Wow, O.P.'s really burying the lead here. She's actually like the big
problem is that he was controlling during a party. I think that's like the big problematic thing about this
guy. Okay, sorry, I got, that one caught me off guard. I put up with him for my friend. I knew if I was
around, he wouldn't dare to mistreat her in front of me. Back to the text. He was pretending to be
her, and I told him that I know that it's him and I talk trash to him. He then said that he was
going to come over and shoot up my house with my kids still inside. I basically laughed at myself
that I didn't believe him. I replied with the threat that I'd get him deported. I got in touch with a
mutual friend. She knew more about him. She told me that he had a warrant out for his arrest.
The cops had gone to pick him up one day, but they couldn't find him. His girlfriend's family hid him.
He hid next door. My best friend's neighbor was her grandma. I didn't know any of that. I also didn't know
his full legal name. This mutual friend gave me everything I needed. I told her what I was going to do
and to not tell our friend. I called the cops and gave them his location. Everything they needed to know
so they wouldn't miss him. They actually picked him up the same night. I then called Ice. He was put on
ice hold. He couldn't get bailed out of jail now. Once in custody, the only way he was getting
out was when he reached Mexico. I felt bad for my friend and their daughter. I know. I know. I
knew she would probably never see him, but I believe I did her a favor. I ended up telling her what
I did not long after. I didn't want her to find out through someone else and get even more upset with me.
It's been so long since then, and she never said she was mad about it. I'm sure she was, though,
at the beginning. In the end, I did her a favor. Her life has been completely changed in a good way.
Her daughter has a better father now. Someone who takes good care of both of them.
This dickhead lost everything he owned. Lost his girl.
his side chick and he was arrested and deported.
He also lost any chance of having any real relationship with his daughter.
I did hear that he came back, but that took about 10 years.
Their daughter was less than a year old when he first left.
She's about 13 now.
I believe he's met her once since all this happened.
He got to see the great life she has without him in her life.
Man, sometimes I'm just absolutely blown away by the stupidity of criminals.
obviously threatening to shoot up someone's house with kids in the house is a big no-no.
But if you're going to make death threats, why do it over text?
Then they can just easily screenshot it, take the phone to the police and be like, hey, look, here you go, this is a text, it's a death threat, please arrest the guy.
Wouldn't you at least, you know, call them up because it's harder to record audio or like say it to their face or something?
I don't know, man, I just, I struggle to understand the thought process of stupid criminal.
sometimes. Our next Reddit post is from Bleed. It took two days to destroy the life of my abusive mother.
We had a long story, of course. I cut contact with her six years ago and just disappeared.
I got in contact with my niece, Eva, who's 18, a while ago. Turns out my mother, Hope,
became Eva's caregiver sometime after I left. Now Eva lives with me and my husband. Eva chose to
help her grandmother, my mother, financially, even after she moved away from her. I didn't get in
involved with it. As I've told her, it's her choice. Eva left her cash card to Hope under one
single condition. Hope should notify Ava if she's going to add or withdraw cash from her card. Hope was
free to buy anything she needed with the card. The only thing she has to do is notify whether
she wanted to use the card in other financial transactions. Eva was regularly putting money on the
card. She also paid Hope's rent for a year in advance, because my mother can't afford rent, and
and could become homeless without help.
My mother screwed me up when I was young,
even when I tried to help her,
so I refused to get involved with it,
and my siblings refused too because of her behavior.
Hope was abusing Ava's help for a while
without notifying her,
and Ava knew about it.
Ava wasn't okay with it, of course,
but she let it slip until yesterday.
Turns out, Hope gave Ava's card
to a third person to use freely,
including adding and withdrawing cash.
Ava wrote Hope asking WTF, and why was she using her card this way without asking?
Hope used her best strategy.
She blamed Ava for being a butthole and said that she had no choice.
Hope said that if Ava really means to help her, then she should shut up and do it without words and conditions,
and that Ava doesn't have a right to complain.
She also said that Ava is free to betray her and leave, just like I and my other siblings did to her.
I had a long conversation with Ava after that.
I once again explained that all of this is not Ava's fault,
and that my mother's always been like this.
I wasn't even surprised for how my mother acted.
I got similar answers when I was younger.
Hope hasn't changed at all.
Next day, Ava told Hope that she was waiting for an apology.
She said that Hope violated their agreement in a lot of ways,
manipulated her, and didn't listen or care about the people who were trying their best to
support her, which is why Hope's loved ones are leaving her all the time.
Ava pointed out that the current problem with Hope is that she's crossing all the boundaries
that are set, and that Ava not knowing what's happening with her bank card can put her in
serious trouble, especially with Hope giving the card away.
I saw screenshots of the conversation, and I really think that Ava tried her best
genuinely to explain her position to Hope. All that Hope said was, I understand, you're blaming me for
being a terrible person and I don't want to fight. Go away, live your life. Feel free to not care
about me anymore. I'm better off being homeless than being treated like this. So Ava blocked her card,
so now neither Hope nor this third person can use it. Eva will also not pay Hope's rent anymore.
So in July, Hope will need to find a new place to live. Avah also called all the relatives who had
supported my mother. They were shocked and will never help Hope anymore as the things Hope told them
was completely different than the truth. But apparently, Hope was like that from a young age. The extended
family didn't know that Hope had been treating Ava, her own children, and her own grandchildren this way.
They thought that in her 50s, Hope had finally settled down and matured. The extended family gave
Ava their full support, and they advised her to run away, cut Hope off, and never mess with her
again. The extended family is going to stay in touch with Hope as she's their sister, but they'll never
believe her again. So over the course of two days, Hope lost her family and her house. I'll also try to
make sure she loses her friends, so she'll have no one to turn to when she's in need. And you know what?
She deserved it for years of abuse. It took me a long time to figure out what I can do,
but we'll completely destroy her for all that she's done. I'm not sorry for her for her. I'm not sorry
for that, and I'm pretty sure right now that I'm doing the right thing. I don't want Ava to be as
broken as I am. One of the weirdest quirks about mankind, just humanity in general, is how you can be
kind to a bad person, and they'll reward you with being mean to you. It's just so bizarre. All you
have to do is say, thank you. I appreciate this totally free gift. You're giving me free money that I can
spend however I want, and my response to that is to insult you. It makes no sense to me. It's literally
biting the hand that feeds and then gets shocked when the hand doesn't feed you anymore. I don't know,
I guess it's like, you know, the scorpion and the frog. The scorpion just can't help but be a
scorpion, you know? Our next Reddit post is from Dave's Planet. One day, I got an email from a
hosting provider telling me that attacks are being launched from our server and I need to look
into it. I found out that there is indeed a hacker on our server. He was using an app to anonymously
control his bot network, among other things. I looked up the app he was using and discovered it was an
open source project. I then downloaded the code for this backdoor, modified it to log everything
to a file, and replaced his app with my Honeypot version. Over the next six months, I collected
every scrap of information I could on this guy. I then used that information to take over many of
his online accounts, including his main email account. That was the account where he registered all
of his services to, so I was able to issue password reset requests for everything he owned. I gained
control of six other email accounts, two dozen IRC accounts, his Facebook page, his dating profile,
numerous websites, and the backup site he used for his cell phone. I have his phone number,
his mom's number, and his girlfriend's number. I know his address, his birthday, the schools he went to,
even his favorite foods and music. And I took every single online account he'd ever had away from him.
I sent a nasty email to his internet service provider in an effort to extort yet more information from them.
In that email from his Indonesian email address, I said some very unkind things about the monarch of Indonesia
and how I might smear the monarch publicly if I didn't get the information. The hacker disappeared immediately after that.
I've looked for him at times over the last 15 years since, and he has not resurfaced.
The Indonesian laws regarding insults to the monarchy are not to be trifled with.
The prison term for such an offense is 15 years.
Man, normally I'm all about the revenge stories, but this is a crazy escalation OP.
I get that running a hacking bot or whatever on your server is bad,
but is it 15 years of prison bad?
potentially. Also, I don't know too much about Indonesian laws, but some people in the comments who
seem to be more familiar with this think that OP might have triggered this guy getting literally
disappeared and or killed by the Indonesian government. Apparently, insulting the monarchy is a huge
deal over there. Our next Reddit post is from Sea Supermarket. I lived in a large village as a child.
The village contained four shops, a post office, two pubs, a church, a primary school, and a really old
grade two listed school. For clarity, when OP says grade two, I don't think he means like
the second grade. I think he means the grade is in like it's a classification of building,
like a type two building. This Victorian school had been used as a library when I was a small
child, but then was bought by a local business owner. Anyone who lived in the UK knows there are
very strict rules regarding what you can do with a grade two building. The number one rule
is that you can't do anything with it without planning permission.
But this businessman thought that he was above the law and knocked the school down one day without consent.
The council gave him a huge fine at the time, but that was only the start.
I audited the planning office last year and came across a file for his plot of land.
In the past 40 years, that business owner had submitted 11 plans to build on that land and had been denied every time.
There was a note outlining the first offense and legal documents reminding planners that no
building would be permitted on the land for the next 99 years. The owner knew that but kept trying.
There were notes on his many failed legal actions that he took. There's also a caveat that if the land is
sold, all new applications will also be denied to the new owners. I also saw a recent request for the
owner to repair the fencing and clean up the site as it was a health and safety issue and he'll be
fined if he doesn't comply. So the owner is now left with a plot of land he can't build on,
and he can't sell it because nobody in our area once lands you can't build on.
I also noticed the same businessman was building houses in the same borough,
and the council came out and made him move the footings of all 12 houses
because they were not quite in the position agreed by the council planners.
It must have cost them thousands.
The moral of the story is that people may not have long memories,
but local government does.
people in the comments are comparing this to
the Carlton Tavern, which is a pub in Kilburn, London
that was demolished in 2015 by a certain developer,
who had failed to obtain the necessary planning permission.
The council subsequently ordered the pub to be rebuilt.
The pub reopened in 2021.
The pub was the only building in the street to survive the Blitz during World War II.
So this guy paid to demolish the building,
and then I had to pay again to rebuild it.
Whoops!
That was our slash nuclear revenge.

I get it.
I'm Siaya and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
