Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to our slash top posts, where O.P. finds a man secretly living inside of her house. Our next Reddit post comes from Facebook. On Saturday night, my partner and two kids, ages 12 and 5, stayed in a holiday home in Wexford that was advertised as having the entire property to ourselves. On arrival, to collect the key code for the lockbox, we asked the owner whether he would be at the property later. He told us he would not be there. When we returned to the property later that night, we discovered the owner hiding behind a makeshift partition wall inside the house in the dark. We immediately contacted the police and, following the incident, left the property and relocated to a relative's home for the remainder of the night.
Starting point is 00:00:43 The experience was extremely frightening and has left both the adults and children deeply shaken. I'm sharing this so that others can make informed decisions when booking accommodations. I've posted photos of the listing and of the partition wall, and I reported this to the booking company and to the police. Booking.com was made aware of the incident Saturday night and have let another innocent family arrive today. There is no safeguarding within this company. The new family has been made aware of the landlord's secretly hiding
Starting point is 00:01:14 and they're also incredibly shaken. Down in the comments, it's revealed that apparently the police have not arrested the man because there's nothing wrong with him staying on his own property. O.P. Post a picture of the makeshift partition in the wall. And for those who are listening and not watching, basically imagine this guy took a like a normal doorway entrance and just nailed two big white plywood boards over the wall so that there's like a, I don't know, maybe a six inch gap in between. So there's just a giant black window into the dark room beyond where this guy was supposedly hanging out. Our next Reddit post is from Sudo Week. I'm a 23-year-old guy, and I've been in a relationship with my 23-year-old girlfriend for over three years. We had our ups and downs throughout the years, but we've always managed to talk things through and communicate.
Starting point is 00:02:07 One important thing for this story is that I have a pretty sarcastic and mean sense of humor. I laugh at people and may act disrespectful, but only as a joke. All my friends know about that, and usually they don't get offended. All right, there were situations where I went too far, but it was rare, and I always tried to make a up afterwards. Lately, I saw a few posts on this sub with the picture of Jeremy sleeping on the couch. For those who don't know, it's like a meme picture from Phineas and Furb of a guy asleep on a couch with chicken in one hand and milk in the other. I found it really hilarious and started using it as a reaction pick, mostly in situations where people were ranting or writing too much text about something.
Starting point is 00:02:47 You know, like a too much yapping, too long, fell asleep meme. Usually no one paid much attention to it, but I couldn't not burst a laugh whenever I saw this pick. Unfortunately, one day, I think I failed reading the room. My girlfriend was visiting her family that lives in another city, so she was away for the weekend. At one point, she texted me a block of text about her family situation. Her parents were divorcing, and her aunt was getting sick or something like that. I don't remember exactly. I wasn't paying much attention to the text, as I was in the middle of a game, so I just sent
Starting point is 00:03:21 the Jeremy's sleeping pick. as a joke. Then she started sending text after text about how I don't treat anything seriously, about me making stupid jokes about everything, that she can't count on me and stuff like this. And for some reason, I thought that it would be funny to send the pick again. And in my stupidity, I did just that, sent the Jeremy sleeping pick. Again, I know it's dumb, but at the time, I really thought that it would be funny. She blocked me after that. I tried texting her on other social media and calling her phone, but she didn't pick up. When she came home the next day, she immediately started packing up. I apologized multiple times and said that it was just a stupid
Starting point is 00:04:02 joke, but she didn't listen. She packed her stuff, took our cat, and left. I haven't heard from her since. I think she also changed her phone number as I kept trying to call her. Our friends stopped talking to me as well. I'm afraid I'm going to get evicted soon, as she was paying most of the rent. All of that because of the picture of Jeremy sleeping. And that's the story. If I want you to remember one thing from me, it's to be careful with your jokes. I actually had a somewhat similar blunder myself recently, not nearly as bad. I was taking a cute video of my daughter playing with my dog and I thought, oh, I'll share this in the family chat.
Starting point is 00:04:40 So I opened the family chat and post the video. Then I realized, oh, there's like 100 messages I haven't read. So I go through the messages, and the messages were all, words of comfort to one member in my family who has made the difficult decision to put their dog down. So amidst all that grieving, I posted a happy video of my daughter and dog playing together. Whoops. I did apologize afterward and said, you know, hey, sorry, I posted this video without reading all the messages. My bad.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Sorry about that. Also, sorry about the dog. Our next Reddit post is from Sorry Cherry. I'm a 41-year-old woman, and my daughter is eight. She was invited to a birthday party for a girl in her skating class. We drive about an hour to get to her class each week, so neither myself nor my daughter knew anyone else at the party besides the birthday girl and her parents. They're incredibly nice, and we've had playdates with them before.
Starting point is 00:05:33 But this was the first time my daughter met any of the birthday girl's other friends. They had two long tables set up, and there were quite a few seats for people, but some parents, like myself, had chosen to stand off to the side. The kids all got in line to get their food, and the birthday, Girl was the first through the line, followed closely by my daughter. When they walked over to the tables, the birthday girl sat down near the end of the first table. My daughter was kind of standing there with her plate, deciding where to go, when the birthday girl's dad pointed to the seat at the end where his daughter was sitting and said she could take that seat. No big deal, right? Well, apparently,
Starting point is 00:06:08 a woman and her two daughters, not sure about their age, but one was about my daughter's age and the other one was a bit younger, had been sitting there before and had left their bag under the table where my daughter and the birthday girl sat down. I admit I didn't see the bag. If I had, I probably would have told her to move to the other side of the birthday girl, but I thought nothing of it when they sat down. When the woman and her two daughters got their plates, they came over and were shocked to see someone in their seats. Mind you, it's not just my kid sitting there, but also the birthday girl. There are also still open seats right next to this spot as well, including one of their seats. They got upset and started complaining loudly to each other about how someone stole their seat.
Starting point is 00:06:53 The mom walked over and snatched her bag up from under the table. Then, instead of sitting in one of the open seats that were available, they proceeded to sit on the floor in the corner about five feet from where my daughter was. They were loudly talking between the three of them about how it was rude that someone stole their seat and that their stuff had been there before so they should have known. They kept up with their passive aggressive comments and were pointing at my daughter while doing it. Now, let me tell you how badly I wanted to throw hands at this woman. She not only let her daughter make comments, but also was participating.
Starting point is 00:07:30 I wasn't about to make a scene at this party though, so I stepped up and stood behind my daughter and gave them the iciest stare possible. They noticed me and toned it down, but still kept making comments. My kid just finished her food while ignoring them, chatting with the birthday girl. When she was done, she got up and cleaned her plate. Then she confidently walked over to the trio on her own and said, I am very sorry I sat in your place. I'm all done now, so if you wanted to take the seat, you can't. She was very sincere, and the mother immediately started backtracking. Oh, it's no big deal. We're not upset. We're okay sitting here. Later, they sang happy birthday, and all the kids got up to get cupcakes. Well, one of the two daughters went to sit back on the floor
Starting point is 00:08:14 and dropped her cupcake. She was very upset and the mom also got upset. Well, my daughter saw what happened and immediately walked over and got the girl a new cupcake and brought them napkins and helped them clean the floor. She told the girl, I got you the same cupcake flavor you had before because I figured it's your favorites. The girl smiled at her and thanked her. My kiddo even threw away the trash from cleaning up the mess for them. I could do nothing but stand there with the biggest grin on my face. The rest of the time, they acted sweetly and even played together with my daughter and the birthday girl. After the party, I told my daughter how proud I was of her and how she handled the situation perfectly. She said, Mommy, I was just nice to them, and it turned them from being mean to being
Starting point is 00:08:57 nice back. Yes, you did, sweetheart. You're going to take over the world someday. Am I the butthole for punching my boyfriend in his jewels for tickling me. A couple of days ago, I, a 20-year-old woman, was in a bad mood. I was laying on my boyfriend's bed when he threw himself on top of me and started pinning me down. He said he wasn't meaning to tickle me, but I was indeed being tickled regardless of his hands being on my ribs or not. Anyway, during this time, probably three to five minutes, I was consistently saying, stop and get off, trying everything I could to get him off, but he simply wasn't budging. At this point, I was extremely overwhelmed,
Starting point is 00:09:34 couldn't breathe, and now, internally, freaking out because he wasn't stopping. I finally saw an opening, so I lightly tapped him on the balls. That got him to stop and say, That's not cool, don't do that. To which I responded,
Starting point is 00:09:48 I'll do it again. Stop. He then proceeded to pin me down and tickle me. I saw another opportunity, so I took it, this time hitting him harder. Thankfully, this did. get him to stop. But he then got super upset with me for doing that. He's very set that I'm in the
Starting point is 00:10:06 wrong and I'm set that I was justified. When we talked about this later, he said that he started doing this because he wanted to see me smile and feel better. Personally, I don't see why that would ever be a solution to make someone feel better, considering tickling is essentially a form of torture. I expressed remorse because I never wanted to hurt him. Even though I intentionally ball tapped him, I just wanted him to stop. He said he thought everything was okay because I was laughing, but it was an uncomfortable slash nervous laugh that I always do when tickled. He said it isn't ever cool,
Starting point is 00:10:40 but especially because I never gave any signs I wasn't having a good time. He said I never told him to get off of me, raised my voice, or told him I was serious. I feel like I shouldn't have to raise my voice for him to know that I'm serious. Also, I did say get off. Also, I'm confused because was the first, First ball tap, not a warning? Also, to clarify, I absolutely agree that hitting someone in the balls isn't cool in the slightest.
Starting point is 00:11:07 But it's not like I did it as a way to play around. I was freaking out and he wasn't listening. Pretty typical hypocrisy in a Reddit post. When he's touching her against her will, everything's fine. But when she's touching him against his will, suddenly it's a problem. Our next Reddit post comes from R-slash intrusive thoughts. Once again, I'm fantasizing about killing people. to cope with the fact that I can't have intercourse.
Starting point is 00:11:32 The anger and pain I feel over the fact that I've been denied intercourse from my entire life and the fact that I didn't get to experience it once at all in my youth is intolerable. I regularly have episodes where I feel sharp pains in my chest and my arms feel light and numb. The only thing that helps me is fantasizing about killing people. I have extended elaborate fantasies about killing people. Sometimes they're cartoonish, like I imagine myself as homelander and I level a city, then threaten to level another if the world doesn't give me hot women to do it with. Other times they're more grounded, like I imagine punishing society by doing a mass shooting
Starting point is 00:12:12 before killing myself on the day I finally decide I have nothing left to lose. In my fantasies, nobody is spared. I target the most vulnerable to incur the maximum degree of suffering on society. These fantasies help me get through particularly painful episodes because I escape into a fictional reality where I feel I've been delivered some measure of justice. There are two aspects to my pain. The first is the injuries I've already suffered, the experience of my life thus far at 31 years of age. My youth has come and gone, and I didn't get to experience intercourse once. I think about the countless number of cute girls I've known and met and come across throughout my life who I felt attracted to.
Starting point is 00:12:53 none of whom felt attraction to me. It feels so ungravely unjust to me that everyone else gets to experience mutual sexual interest, but I don't. For some reason, I've been designated to be denied that experience. When I think about this, rage and anger wash over me, the second aspect is the fact that there's no light at the end of the tunnel for me.
Starting point is 00:13:14 As I get older, I get even uglier, my hair gets thinner, my face sags further off my underdeveloped facial bones. There is zero evidence to end up. that there's any chance I'll meet a cute girl who wants to do it with me. Zero. There's no path to happiness for me. Let me say that again. There's no path to happiness for me. I want society to answer what it expects me to do when there's no effing path to happiness for me. How am I not supposed to think about destroying other people's lives before ending my own when there
Starting point is 00:13:46 is zero chance I'll ever be glad to be alive? Explain that to me. Society expects me to just sit here and accept this awful hand I was dealt. For what reason exactly? Effing, give me some effing answers. There's no path to happiness for me. Society needs to give me some effing, c-wording, effing answers. Well, clearly, the problem is in society.
Starting point is 00:14:10 It's that O.P. is insufferable. O.P., I think step one is to find a new personality, ASAP. Because why would any woman want to be around you? Why would any human want to be around you? Also, the main reason why I wanted to read this post is because of this comments down below. On the bus for now says, I fantasized about killing men like you, lull. Guess we're all homicidal maniacs around here. And then O.P. says, hey, you're not really helping anything by obnoxiously saying that.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And the commenter says, ah, sorry, I wasn't really trying to help. That was our slash top post from Reddit. And if you like this content, be sure to follow my podcast. I put out new Reddit podcast episodes every single day.
