But before we get into the story, do you want to know a fun fact?
Did you know that a full full...
is a mouse-like rodent that lives mostly underground.
They can be pretty troublesome since they love to nibble on roots, flower bulbs, and trees.
Even though they are tiny troublemakers, I still think they are pretty cute.
Pretty cool, huh?
Okay, story time.
Today, we have a very special Ryer's Reader's Reader's request from Fellow.
Fellow would like to hear Alfie and Bet's ABCs by Patricia Hegarty.
I hope you enjoy this story, Fellow. Let's do this.
Alfie and Bet are off on a quest to discover the letter they like the best.
But Alfie and Bet can never agree.
If Alfie says A, Bet will say B.
Look, A is for Apple, Alfie cries.
And airplanes flying in the sea.
skies. But Bet isn't listening. She has found B. For bears and bananas. B is the winner for me.
Oh no, says Alfie. Never mind that. Just think about C. It's for cupcake and cat.
But D is for dog and here's E, F, and G. For eggs, fox, and goat. Oh, we'll never
Agree.
And elephant, fish and grapes, says Bet.
Oh, these are some of the best letters yet.
H, I, J, and K make a wonderful sight for horse and for ice cream, for jam, and for kite.
Alfie thinks these are winners for sure, but Bet is already searching for more.
Just look what I found.
M, N, O, and P.
So many incredible letters to see.
There's lemon and mouse, and N stands for nest.
And orange and panda.
These must be the best.
Calls out Alfie, think of Q, R and S.
The finest of letters you have to say yes.
For Queen and for Rocket and for strawberries too.
I have found much better letters than you.
But Bet's attention has turned to T, U and V.
She's thinking of tigers and trains and a tree.
Umbrellas and bowls and so much more.
She's never visited so many letters before.
And finally, here's W, X, Y, and Z.
For whale and X-ray and yak to name three.
Z is for zebra.
Wait.
Where are Alfian bit?
Surely their quest is not finished yet.
We can forgive them.
It's been a long day.
I guess each letter's special in its own way.
And don't forget to stick around to see if you can answer today's paying attention question.
Before you go, do you do you?
think you can answer today's paying attention question. Do you know what Alfie and Bet were doing at the
very end of the story? If your answer was, they were sleeping? You did it. Great job. You sure were
paying attention. I hope you enjoyed that story. I wonder what we're going to read next.
Bye, fellow. My name is fellow and I want you to be using by.
A, B, C's.
Thank you.
Thank you.
